the sims is often labeled a casual game and its like the prime example of ~*casual gaming*~ but it can be played in such a non casual game and regular sims players are not normal about it at all (see: me, i play with a spreadsheet)

but there are games that are like... not as in depth and they have outliers who play it insanely. i also found that while some ppl may play lots of mobile games they dont have general video game(tm) knowledge. so i think i consider games that only require short bursts of interaction (like a lot of mobile games that only expect to be played for a few minutes a day) as casual games
