So since it has been brought to my attention some rumours have been circulating about me, I just wanna make a few things clear.

First off, I did not supposedly stalk anyone's blog for years.

If need be, I can even provide my IP address (aka self-dox myself) to prove any screencaps to be false, but I'm nowhere near obsessive enough to check somebody's blog everyday. Like, sure, I might visit blogs of ex-mutuals every once in a blue moon out of curiosity, but contrary to popular belief, tumblr doesn't take up 90% of my time and at best, I would maybe lurk on COAR to read new confessions or refresh my dash once per day just in case non-active partners of mine have returned.

If anything, my time has been mostly comprised of going to work and grinding mobile gachas; in fact, should I notice I have replies to write, I will log in, throw my replies into the queue/save written replies in my drafts folder to queue later, and then fuck off to do other stuff. Honestly, provided someone has beef with me, it's unlikely I would know why unless my encounter with them on tumblr had been rather recent.

To my knowledge, I haven't harassed anyone off of tumblr.

Now, did I have spats with my own fair share of people over the eight or nine years I have been on this hellsite? Yes. Have I made vague posts about ex-mutuals, unintentionally ghosted others, privately vented to friends about people from the RPC I personally can't stand, and commented on COAR confessions? Also, yes.

But that being said, the only one I've ever sent anon hate to was myself and if I played a part in somebody deactivating their blog or quitting tumblr roleplay altogether, then that's certainly news to me, because I don't like participating in public smear campaigns, to the point where I even avoid name dropping certain users in my rules or PSAs I've made. Heck, the way I see it, I can only ever recall myself being relentlessly harassed/bullied, because when it comes to me for some reason, people on this site sadly don't know how to block and move on like normal people.

I also have never encouraged anyone to delete their blogs or chase them out of the RPC and have only ever reported one person due to the fact they would not stop posting about me/attempt to provoke me into engaging in drama on a site that we both frequent despite having me blocked; therefore, I have no idea where the narrative of me harassing people off of tumblr even comes from. Besides, I'm nowhere near popular enough to influence whatever following I have to dog pile on whoever I have grievances with, let alone have many people who would go to bat for me each time I'm being unfairly criticized. Honestly, the one time someone did call out my harasser, it was something I had no control over and they did so without my permission, to the point where I did privately tell them to stop url-dropping me and engaging with this person on my behalf... because again, I just wanted to be left alone.

Furthermore, I make it very clear to mutuals I've vented to that they don't have to unfollow/block roleplayers I've had bad experiences with... so I'm not sure if this is merely a case of the Mandela Effect rearing it's ugly head, individuals making up bad faith reasons to dislike me, or an issue of mistaken identity (especially since I'm likely not the only one who goes by the mun handle, 'Livi', and it has happened before where somebody had wrongly assumed a blog belonged to another person).

Of course, it's possible I could have forgotten stuff, as I have had more than three blogs over the years, so naturally, I won't remember all the OOC posts I have ever shared, let alone every instance before 2022 where I have been involved in drama... but regardless, I refuse to take accountability for things I have never done unless you personally come to me off anon with screenshots that provide evidence.

((just a "little" (ha) update I guess, nothing major, just a note that I'm sorry if I post alot this week with seemingly no regard for my/my muse's vast presence on the dash, or if I end up writing alot of short weird drabbles to vent.... if there's questionable stuff it'll be tagged like always <3

I understand if you need to unfollow me to keep your dash clear for other people if you're mobile etc. or if you need to blacklist my muse's url for a bit if it's overwhelming

After xmas everything may have settled and if you wanna refollow then I'd welcome you back and wouldn't ask any questions. your comfort (whatever that may classify as in the context) is my utmost priority!

normally I try not to clutter, and I try to keep general post reblogs minimal and just queue most of them. I'm just... not doing too good rn

then again it's a 50/50 that I'll be posting nothing at all, just making my muse's presence known if it wants to sorta wave at someone from the depths of my brain hell jail.

I'll still be checking in around xmas stuff bc this muse gives me v happy bubbly vibes whenever I write it and that's honestly what I need rn.

I'm sorry if your muse reblogs/replies to one of mine's posts or smth and I seemingly glance over it. I genuinely just didn't see it. I always try and respond to stuff, or if it doesn't know how to reply I at least acknowledge that my muse saw it by liking it. but I might not have the mental capacity to actually keep up w stuff

BASICALLY I'm either gonna be kinda quiet or rly hyperfixated on not being in my own head for the next week or so.

I'm obv stressed anyway bc I need to do xmas shopping still and it's a struggle bc online it probs won't come in time. we're going "late night shopping" on thursday though so hopefully we can get a bunch of stuff then

but mainly an old work friend of mine passed away today. He's been unwell for a few years, and I dunno if he knew what it was and was just keeping it quiet, or if they genuinely couldn't work it out. last I heard he was getting MRIs.

I had a complicated relationship w him (positive) bc he was either bipolar or had BPD like me (although he wasn't diagnosed with either, but it was obvious he at least had bipolar), and if you know anything abt BPD you know what an FP (favourite person) is, and we were sort of each other's when we were working together? I think. like I say he wasn't diagnosed, but it felt like that. we hit it off really quick and were both really comfortable with each other, and he was just the sweetest most supportive person. he was one of my FPs, which basically means my brain was cursed to be in intense friendlove with him. He would tell me that he loved me and appreciated my friendship, was always saying you need to tell people you love them, however you can, however you mean it, because you don't know if you'll ever get to tell them again

he always showed off the little things I made him and made sure everyone knew exactly where he got the silly little origami animals on his desk, or who made his juggling balls that were his favourite thing in the whole world bc I made them for him by hand, and picked the fabric out specifically for him.

One time around xmas, bc of covid, we had these big plastic screen dividers between our desks and I used posca paint pens to draw him a HUGE Robin in a scarf and santa hat (his name was Robin and people always got him little Robin themed things, he loved them) on the one by his manager desk, like a name tag, but Facilities told him he needed to clean it off and chastised him thinking he did it, and you're "not supposed to vandalise work equipment" even though they're literally washable and it was xmas. we were sticking decorations everywhere, how is it any different? but he played along but he was really mad. He didn;t wanna say it was me that did it, because he thought I might've gotten in trouble, but he also wanted to argue that I'd put alot of work into it. I hadn't put that much in, it was just for fun and I liked drawing it, and he got to see it! That was the important part. and I said so. but I cleaned it off and drew him a new Robin on a piece of paper and he kept it at his desk like a retired picket sign, and told the story to anyone who would be polite enough to listen

mostly though, he gendered me correctly (and he was in his 60s so being so passionate abt they/them pronouns was just really sweet, though he was clearly bi but still in the closet, so it was maybe a little projection, in a way, or just straight up quiet queer solidarity), and literally agressively made sure everyone else did too, when he realised I'd been just letting people at work use whatever pronouns, he got really proactive and made sure all my paperwork was marked as "them" officially (with my permission). if anyone misgenered me he would get visably annoyed or disgusted, and there were a couple people who "forgot" (every time) and he actually got angry at them about it and reported them for harassment, which might've been a little extreme, but I honestly felt so validated, and I'm tearing up thinking about it. I don't think anyone's ever fought that hard in my corner, especially after only knowing me for, at that point, less than a year.

We worked together in a couple different parts of the business for a couple years, until some stuff happened that I shouldn't say bc I need my rp blog(s) to stay far away from my professional life, but we were gonna be working together doing something else, but it wasn't his thing, it was stressful and there were other reasons, but he just lost it and walked out.

we had a little joke when we were training before he left, he had this soft toy robin that he let me borrow because I was really anxious, and I gave it a little notepad and pencil and wrote something silly on it for when he got it back each time. usually some out of context joke on what we learned that day, so we could both laugh about it. but when he left I still had it, and I messaged him saying I would get it back to him sometime, but he said to keep it to remind me of him.

I put it away to keep it safe, but I'm gonna have to go and find it, because it's one of the only physical things I have left of him.

An Unlikely Bond - Pt. 1 of 3

Well gosh darn I guess the hyperfixation has hit and hit hard again. Was organizing some files and saw the one on Geist and Zhang developing their psionic bond and my fingers ran away with it.

A lot has changed with the initial idea as I'm re-writing the earlier chapters of Wandering Souls and shifting the timeline. But takes place when Zhang is still forced to stay on base until his psionics are fixed.

Also some fun backstory diving for Zhang and me putting my own spin on the name origin for Geist. I am not using anything from that mobile game for Geist.

The Barracks. Like every other section of the main XCOM HQ, it bustled with activity. Even more so because of the recent expansions, commissioned by Commander Reeves, to house more recruits to the cause and an overdue expansion for the Gym and Rec Room section of the Barracks that the soldiers (and other staff) needed to blow off some steam. The expansions were welcomed by all.

Even with several squads sent out to deal with the ever-evolving alien menace terrorizing the Earth, each floor in the Barracks had a fair amount of activity going on. On the lowest floor, the bar was full as always, with some “reasonably” drinking away and chatting with friends. Others were playing a game of pool. And some were fighting over who could watch what on the largest TV. Typical soldier behavior.

The floor above, the Gym, had a fair amount of activity. New equipment, designed specifically for the enhanced abilities of their Gene-modded soldiers, had arrived and was being tested by some soldiers. Zhang was one of them.

12:03. The Hazard Course was occupied with Gene-modded soldiers fresh out of the labs, already putting their new abilities to the test, so the Gym was the next best place to stretch his legs. His still mild pariah status because of the psionic incident some time ago, which mostly eclipsed him being a former Triad, meant most still gave him a wide berth. Which he didn’t mind, as it meant he wouldn’t have people working out next to him.

13:18. Currently, he was breaking in one of the new reinforced treadmills that could handle that “Muscle Fiber Density” leg mod.

It had been about an hour’s jog and everything was working perfectly. The steady tread of boot heels hitting the belt and running deck. The muscles in his legs contracted and relaxed at a steady rhythm. There was a nice bounce back from the suspension, which kept his stride nice and smooth. It was so much better than the old treadmills that would stutter if he came down too hard, which would break his stride. He was happy he could be less conscious about that and exert nearly as much force as he wanted to his heart’s content. But he didn’t want to push too far. He didn’t want to be the first one to break the new equipment.

“This is the best shape that I’ve ever been in my life.” Zhang chuckled under his breath as he adjusted his headphones. Sometimes he felt like that was an overstatement, but it was true. He had considered himself “fairly” healthy, minus his smoking habit, before his recruitment to XCOM. Now, he had lost weight and put on a lot of muscle. And then those Gene Mods and other tweaks the science division was experimenting with. Sometimes he had trouble recognizing himself when he looked in the mirror.

A glance down to check the time. 13:32. About 30 more minutes and he would call it. He had some psionic training he needed to get to later and couldn’t tire himself out.

Psionic training. He rolled his eyes. What did Geist and the others have in store for him today? Knowing Geist and Sam, something headache-inducing, especially if it was learning how to teleport again and some other odd psionic concept. Teleporting. He felt his psionics, those synaptic connections, bristle with annoyance. That task and another were impossible for him. Just thinking about teleporting made him want to skip out on training again, but knew he couldn’t.

“Wonder how much more I have to endure before I’m back on full active duty and don’t need one of these collars when on the field.”

He still had a fair deal of work to stabilize his psionics, so he didn’t have to wear a modified dampening collar on the field. A faint growl slipped from his lips as his hand went up to his neck and tugged on the collar that was there. He hated the thing, but it was required for all psions to wear one at the base. At least the newer models caused fewer headaches.

“How much longer?”

The chains of command were suffocating, but he was doing his best to be patient and play nice.

For now, all he could do was wait and jog. A new tune began to play through his ears. Something with a faster, more electric beat. His footfalls quickly matched the rhythm. Negative thoughts melted away.

The latest tune entranced Zhang. He hadn’t noticed faint voices slowly intruding into his mind. Or perhaps he subconsciously noticed as a grumble or two slipped out as he adjusted that collar on his neck a few times. As quickly as the whispers came, they disappeared.

As he was entering the final cooldown phase of his joke, he felt an all too familiar jolt run up his spine as his eyes flashed purple. Then a more familiar touch before it became blurred by other sensations. The voices were back and much clearer than before.

“Ah, Vixen! You’ve made it.” Geist’s voice was strong in his mind. Though the name Vixen was distant to him.

“Cheery as always, huh Geist?” A female voice spoke next. Geist just chuckled in response. “How has training been for this branch?”

“Ah, training. Where to begin?”

Oh, hell no. Zhang cursed in his mind. Either the collar had a fault or Geist was purposefully using his bypass trick to tap into his mind. He figured the latter was happening due to the mention of training. He had been avoiding some sessions. Not in the mood for a guilt trip. His fingers quickly checked every part of the dampening collar. It was cool to the touch. No signs of overheating. One good sign. Must have been the bypassing. Figures.

Steadying his pacing and breathing, he concentrated on the psionic wavelengths to block it all out. Within seconds, the voices faded from his mind. He smiled. No guilt trips now. He would do some psionic training later, but would not be bothered right now. Just as he felt like he could relax his powers, the voices came back in full force.

“We have more soldiers cooking down below. I’m sure the Commander filled you in on that before your arrival.” Geist spoke of several potential psions in the making. It was always a delight to add more to their ranks.

“I read up on a few of them during my flight over.” Vixen said. “The science division has been making strides.”

“But back to training.” Geist almost seemed to hiss the word. “Truthfully, I’m a little disappointed with how things have been developing for researching how the — — — and function. That aspect is still escaping me. But I believe your fresh mind should be able to help.”

Zhang concentrated again to block out their voices, but his attempts failed once more. The discussion continued, though parts of it cut in and out. But the words “disappointed” and “training” frequently came through clearly.

Several disgruntled mumbles slipped from Zhang’s lips as he slammed his hands against the handrails to the treadmill. His grip tightened until his knuckles went white.

“For fuck’s sake…” He was glad no one was next to him to witness his sudden change in demeanor. Straightening himself back up, he brought his jog to an end. “Fine. You win this time, Geist.”

With more than a pep in his step, Zhang made his way deeper into the base towards the Psionic Training Grounds. However, he was mostly mindful of his steps, as he felt like kicking a few holes into the concrete because of his disturbed mood. Cracks would be barely noticed. Anything worse and he would get written up.

In about 7 minutes, he reached the main room. It was sparsely populated, a few psions were meditating or sparing here and there. Off to the side, he spotted Geist and who he figured was this Vixen he was speaking to. Both looked to be in a rather pleasant mood. Geist hadn’t noticed him yet.

Zhang took a moment to still himself. He didn’t need to go off on Geist. Feeling somewhat calmer, he headed over to them.

As he got closer, Geist noticed him. His eyes always seemed to brighten when the old man came around.

“Ah, hello Zhang!” Geist gave a friendly wave. “Early for once. No teleportation training for today.”

Zhang stifled a snort even more so when he felt the voices in his head diminish. Once he was next to them, he gave Vixen a nod before looking at Geist. “You rang?” Though he tried his best to hide it, irritation riddled his words.

He was about to reply until he caught the annoyance in Zhang’s voice and then noticed the faint rage in his eyes. “Is something the matter?”

Is something the matter…? “Are you fu—” Zhang bit his tongue before shaking his head. “Is something the matter?” Shifting his pitch up an octave, he sarcastically repeated the words before shifting back to his normal voice. “Are you serious?”

Geist’s expression shifted to a more puzzled, if not, concerned look. Though he was still slowly becoming more aquatinted with Zhang, this attitude was out of character for him. “I’m sorry, but you’ve lost me, Zhang?”

Zhang’s brow twitched. “Don’t play coy with me!” He finally snapped. His eyes flashed before he jabbed a thumb at his own head. “You did your damn bypass trick to get into my head!”

The sudden outburst disrupted the tranquility of the room. All eyes were on Zhang.

Geist raised his hands and took a step back. This felt greatly out of character for Zhang to just snap like this. He wanted to probe his mind, do a quick check to make sure none of their hard work to fix his psionics was unraveling, but the man was accusing him of already probing his mind. “Zhang, I’m not sure what you’re talking about, but I have not made a connection with you.”

“Really? Really?” Zhang sneered. “You’ve been sure to repeat the words “training” and “disappoint” frequently in my mind since I missed the last few sessions.”

“What?” Geist looked more confused. That made little sense. He was more mildly annoyed with Zhang occasionally skipping the training sessions, but knew the man needed his space. But the words more or so matched what he had been discussing with Vixen. He glanced at her. She looked more annoyed at the matter. “I haven’t contacted you. I knew you would be coming around here within the hour… hopefully.” He muttered the last word under his breath. “In all seriousness, I haven’t done my psionic bypass to contact you.” Cautiously, he took a step forward as his eyes began to glow purple. He began to reach out. “You have me concerned. I could check to see if—”

The denial only seemed to infuriate Zhang, and then feeling the man’s touch in his mind only made him angrier. “You think for a sin—”

“Stop.” Vixen stepped in between the two, with one hand imbued with psionic energy placed against Zhang’s chest. “Let’s get this settled. Since you’re about to bite his head off, let me check for any connections. If there’s a connection from him to you, then Geisty has been lying. If there isn’t, your collar needs to be checked. Fair?”

Zhang glanced at her hand on his chest before looking at Geist and back at her. He let out a huff as he took a step back. “Fair.”

Vixen looked at Geist. “Cut your connection and get your collar.”

He nodded, quickly severing his powers. With a faint ping, he teleported his collar into his hands but didn’t put it on just yet.

Vixen then gestured for Zhang to it down, which he begrudgingly complied, before moving behind him. She raised both hands to either side of his head before letting her psioncis envelop his head. “Okay, let’s see what I can find.”

The room was a near dead silent as Vixen went to work. Most wanted to see how it would all play out as Geist did have his trickster tendencies, but a few wanted to pretend nothing was going on just in case there was a blowup.

Zhang did his best to keep his calm as Vixen searched his mind. It was always strange having an unfamiliar psion go through one’s mind, but he took notice of Vixen’s soft touch. Though she had to work around some of those locks he and Geist had created and the still unstable part of his psionics, she was doing so with care as she looked for those threads of a connection.

“Hm…” Vixen’s eyes narrowed. She found something. Or at least felt it. “Geist, collar on.”

With no hesitation, he put it on, and it snapped into place.

Minutes passed.

“Collar off.” She said. He took it off.

Some more time passed.

“Hm. There’s something, but it doesn’t fully feel like Geist.” She stopped her psionics and moved her hands away.

“Doesn’t fully feel like Geist.” Zhang questioned, doing his best not to scoff. He shook his head a few times to shake off the faint buzz coursing between his ears.

“It feels like a mixture of threads here. Feels like it’s coming from the growing,” she gestured with one hand, “background psionic radiation permeating the base.” She explained. “Not feeling a direct one from Geist per se. Just a mix. Perhaps your… odd psionics… amplified something.”

“That partially clears things up.” Geist mumbled as he tapped his chin. One thing cleared, but Zhang still didn’t look happy, which had him concerned. “Anything feel out of place, Vixen?”

She shrugged. “His psionics feel odd, but I bet you know them better than me to determine if something is truly wrong.”

“True.” He looked at Zhang only to sigh, seeing the man was glaring at him. He took a step towards him. “Zhang, I can check to see if—”

“Don’t.” Zhang cut him off. He got up.

“Zhang. This could be your psionics ac—”

“No.” Another terse answer left his lips. He turned to Vixen and gave her a half-hearted “thank you” before he made his leave.

Vixen raised a brow at him as she watched him leave, before turning her attention back to Geist. “Is he always like this?”

“No. He can be difficult at times, but this is… different. It concerns me.” He spoke truthfully. He wanted to follow, chase after him, but knew that would only lead to a fight.

With a faint ping, he teleported a tablet into his hands. “I’ll make note of this. Give the Psionic Division a heads up just in case.”

“And Commander Reeves?” Vixen asked.

“Eventually… her.”

“‘Eventually’?” She questioned.

“Eventually. What she doesn’t know won’t hurt. But I will tell her if something happens.” He said. He just wanted to keep Zhang off the Commander’s radar. Things had gotten better between the two, but he didn’t want to risk it with this.

Zhang proceeded to skip the 14:30 Psionic training session he was going to attend. Despite Vixen’s findings, he didn’t believe her nor Geist. It felt all too convent that their conversation stopped intruding on his mind when he entered the room. He knew what he heard and felt.

He needed to cool down and what better way was there to cool down than by allowing himself to get dragged into some silly card game with Akemi, Kim, and Jarvis as the three happened to come back from some fieldwork. He refused to elaborate on what had him irritated, only stating “Geist being Geist”, and they mostly respected that. The trio helped him push the day’s events to the back of his mind with the card game and updating him on the latest alien threats. More of the same ol’ variants and some new ones were being fielded. The aliens, well, Elders, were probing for weaknesses and how they would react.

The hours flew by until it was either time to get some food, shower, or get dragged off by one of the science teams. Zhang was ready to hit the shower until Akemi pulled his teeth to join her in the Psionic Training Grounds. Though her psionics were still developing, she had been assigned to join in on psionic training sessions. Dr. Vahlen’s and Dr. Marin’s teams wanted to experiment with various ways to unlock a soldier’s psionic potential without having to rely on the weeks-long process of psionic energy saturation inside of the sarcophagi.

He was loath to go there as he wanted to avoid Geist and the man practically lived in there or in the Psionic Labs. Yet, with some playful banter, begging, and mild guilt tripping — as he was the reason she was psion now—, she convinced him to tag along. He had noticed she was less nervous when he was around when she trained with one of the elite psions.

“You’re going to hold that over my head for forever, huh?” Zhang questioned.

“I may.” She smirked and playfully nudged him with her elbow. “At least you didn’t fry my brain.”

He let out a sigh, shaking his head. “Don’t.”

Much to Zhang’s relief, Geist wasn’t there when they arrived. As Akemi went to her instructor, Zhang found himself talking to a fellow psion, John Tanner. Someone who was a witness to what happened earlier in the day. Tanner probed a little to find out exactly what the issue was, but Zhang kept most of the details terse. But he trusted Tanner enough to probe his mind, and the man felt nothing was amiss. Just a mixture of threads faintly connected to the psionic background radiation in the base. That still didn’t sit well with Zhang. It was something to stew on for later.

With little convincing, Tanner roped him into some psionic meditation and defense strengthening so he would have some psionic training marked down for the day and off the Commander’s radar.

Moving to a side room and finding a place to sit, he gladly took his dampening collar off. It took some time for him to enter a “calm” state of mind as the irrational side of him felt Geist would show up at any moment, but once he did, he felt a great deal of the day’s irritation melt away. A quick check of his own mind with his powers unrestricted; he barely felt any active traces of Geist. The usual connections were a near-dead silence. Anything else resonated with the psionic background to the base.

Hm. That was still strange, but maybe his psionics were acting up again and the overly friendly psion didn’t connect to him.

For the next hour, Tanner carefully pushed and pulled at Zhang’s psionic defenses. It was a delicate and dangerous game of finding the cracks that needed to be reinforced and avoiding the traps that could lead to a nasty psionic backlash.

“Aaah… Okay. Okay, think we’re good… we’re good for the eve’ing.” Tanner said as he recalled his psionics. Body wavering from side to side, he raised a hand to his face and rubbed it.

“Mhm.” Zhang let out a sharp exhale as he came out of his meditation. As his pionics receded into himself, he picked up his dampening collar. He finally noticed Tanner’s wobbliness and the faint purple sparks buzzing around his head. “Are you alright?”

“I’m… good. Just a little mind spin trap of yours I triggered as were were finishing…” He said before hunching over and vigorously rubbing the back of his neck. “That’s… nasty. You’ve improved.”

“Ah.” Zhang chuckled. “I’ve been adjusting them as those Elders make their calls to me from time to time. Something to push them out.”

A few moments later, the psionic disruption around Tanner disappeared. He straightened himself back up and let out a sigh of relief. “I can see that annoying them. They deserve worse. Need to take notes and get the others more prepped.” There was always work to be done. “Those are some green checks for you. A few more sessions and,” he paused, knowing mentioning Geist would be a sore subject, “you know who is doing his own tests and you should be back on the field before you know it.”

Zhang’s mood didn’t immediately sour. He simply nodded along. Talking to a Geist about the incident earlier and apologizing would have to happen, but he still wanted some distance. “The sooner the better.” He was ready to get back into the field.

With his training session wrapped up, he returned to the main room to see how Akemi was doing. Her session was just about coming to an end. Once she was done there, the two left and went their separate ways for the night.

In general I think the servers having a max capacity is a lame way to solve their problem. I understand what they're thinking, the game isn't going to hold this amount of traffic and it doesn't make sense for them to buy a bunch of servers that will never fill up past the first few weeks here. I really wish there was a queue system though, instead of it being seemingly random. I tried to get in for almost 5 hours earlier and did not get in once. Meanwhile other people get in on their first try, because the way the system works it's just a random check to see if there's a spot. I'd prefer to get like a 200 people in line message, or something, rather than the current system.

While playing I found that the promise menu freezes a bunch. It was constantly having to reload all the thumbnails which would take almost a full minute. Almost all the promises I was trying to get into were full, and I understand because I'm only going for the free ones that don't require a specific outfit, but that meant trying to get into a promise, then waiting a minute for it to reload the page, and then trying again ad nauseam.

It also took quite a while to upload a single photo onto my profile page. In general the waiting times are pretty bad for a mobile game. It's not like a console game where I can pull out my phone where I wait for it to load, with this game I have to just sit here and wait for them to reload all the thumbnails.

another frustration is that everyone is hosting the exact same songs as promises. If I have to play Pretty Prism Paradise one more time I'm going to lose it. but I don't want to use my promise tickets, because you know hoarding tendencies, so I'm stuck with whatever isn't full.

In general I feel like I'm playing the switch game on my phone, but my switch is right next to me. I could play the switch game on my switch. I got into one photo promise, but it really was just an animation of my character playing with a bird, that I pressed the screenshot button a few times to.

Not to say that this game is bad, but I think my original imagination of this game was something more, and not a port of the switch game with a few features moved around and a bunch of paywalls.

Also I pulled the gacha and I got a skirt, which is funny because I only wear outfits with pants. So it was a waste of a ticket. With the gacha too I'm never going to get that full outfit, so that skirt will never match anything.

Another thing I got to try once was the bonus shop, you can see the auto translation of the help menu and the other post I made. The outfits available were slightly better than what's in the main shop currently, but I still didn't buy any of them because none of them had pants. I think I like it slightly more than the switch version where you just pull a gotcha and get one item.

Yeah overall right now this game is just the switch game but with more loading screens. I'm going to keep playing because why not, but I hope this game gets events or just something to have a reason to keep playing it. If all it gets is a new shop weekly and an anime ep drop once a month, what's the point?

i have mostly been talking about my experiences with other social media platforms elsewhere, but since i just realised for how long i've been doing this by now (i think i got serious about it in november), might as well post an update.

mastodon: decent replacement for my private twitter. great for rambling into the void and keeping up with friends, provided those friends are on there. my public twitter was more for entertainment than communication, and mastodon truly falls flat in that regard. as a result, tumblr has actually become my main replacement for that aspect of twitter.

pros: great filtering system, content warnings and alt text are part of the culture, you can subscribe to hashtags, not much value placed on popularity, decent mobile layout and 3rd party apps

cons: rules differ from server to server, your server's admins can suddenly decide to block the server your friend is on, the default desktop layout kinda sucks, finding any posts about your interests may be impossible, and reply guys are everywhere

cohost: technically has the best set of features to truly recreate the twitter experience, but text can be formatted like on tumblr and there's no character limit. absolute design nightmare and none of my friends are active on there, so i've basically given up on it.

pros: if you want a tumblr-twitter hybrid and don't mind the cons, this sure is the website for you. has "pages" that are like if sideblogs and multiple account management had a baby. it's a single account but each "page" functions like a separate one? hats off tbh

cons: aside from the horrible design, i've heard their terms of service and such were legally concerning. can't verify this.

hive: bad idea. wish i hadn't signed up for it

pillowfort: i've been on there for a long time, but only became active again last year and found it had improved slightly in my absence. progress is very slow because they're entirely user-funded. you know i love it, though: the as-yet missing features are totally worth the wait because they've got something no one else has: communities, like on livejournal or dreamwidth. this will absolutely become my main hangout one day, mostly replacing my private twitter (now mastodon) and the more personal aspects of tumblr.

pros: communities, per-post privacy settings, livejournal-style comments, very chill site culture, looks a bit like ye olde tumblr but less busy, planned features include dashboard filters and multiple account management

cons: doesn't have drafts and a queue yet (but they're coming soon!), activity is still low, memes and shitposts can be found but there's a trend towards more long-form essay content (which is not in itself a bad thing, i'd just like to see both)

in conclusion, i haven't found a 1:1 replacement for anything. ultimately, i'm betting on PF becoming a mix of what my private twitter used to be (a safe space) and how i remember the early days of tumblr (a place to connect with people and have good-faith discussions). present-day tumblr will replace my public twitter as a major source of mindless entertainment, and i'll occasionally check in on mastodon to keep up with one or two friends.

where the majority of fandom will migrate to is anyone's guess. if it were pillowfort, i'd be more inclined to actively participate than just lurk because the site structure seems to genuinely encourage level-headed discussion.

Don’t buy a blog theme, look up one you like, plenty of sites have them. Some tumblr blogs have them! Googling “tumblr theme” gets you where you wanna go

In your blog customization settings, it lets you add pages and links! On mobile, though, you can’t see these, so linking them in your bio as well helps more people see the links

The post limit is 200 or 250 a day, usually I never reach it but the site doesn’t really tell you, just doesn’t let you post after that

Queue is your friend!! You can schedule posts, schedule what time you want your posts to happen (i.e. posting 3 times a day at prime time or 50 posts a day all day, etc) and it lets you batch upload art without spamming or it getting lost in a sea of your own posts, xkit has an extension that lets you auto tag your queued posts, some people have cutesy pun ones, mine is just the letter #q

Readmore is good! The text limit is Not Twitter, you can post fics here if you want without adding screenshots! You can add a setting wheres you can have long posts shortened (other people have to have this enabled for it to shorten your post), but it’s common courtesy to put fics in readmores after, like, a paragraph or so, or a description

Please use tags! And filtering! Under Settings > general > content you see, you can block key words and tags. Tags have to be Exact! Keywords should filter any post with that word or phrase, so when tagging your own content warnings, please don’t use // at the end, it makes it harder for people to filter!

Ex: #tw: blood// #blood/// #blood tw// #bl0od/

Ex: #blood / #tw blood / #blood tw

And if you don’t want to see certain content, varying what you put in filtering helps. Because some people just tag the tw and some people add tw before or after, helps to add variation so nothing slips through!

First 5 tags are what show up in the search, feel free to talk in the tags! But have the first few tags what u actually want people to look up to find your post!

AN IMPORTANT NOTE: unless this changed and I wasn’t aware, I’m pretty sure if you have a link AT ALL in your post, it gets hidden from the tag search. Still shows up on your blog but the audience is not as wide— you can reblog your own post again and add links after the original post, or ask in the post to check the notes for the link. Shadowbanning accounts isn’t a thing here but posts can get shadowbanned kinda

Also adding “mutual aid” or “donations” to a help post shadow bans it, please don’t do that when making or reblogging a help post

You can go through tags! So you can make tags for your art, comics, characters, etc and sort them that way on your own blog, it’s super helpful! No like, idk, twitter collection needed

Give yourself an icon, and post like, something, anything. A lot of people (myself included) scope out new followers to make sure they’re not bots, and if I see an empty blog and no icon, I usually block, on the other side, if YOU see this, probably block

Block porn bots. They follow you to make their accounts seem more legitimate; following real users makes their accounts not look as botty, and might attract other bots to your blog as well, and speaking of them, don’t click their links lol, they’re either viruses, scams, or phishing scams, in general be careful of links, especially if it has an offer or it’s from someone you don’t know asking you to “test out their game”. You can get hacked and then your post will spit out spam for a while and possibly deleted from staff. Even if it’s from someone you know, check to make sure their account wasn’t hacked, especially if it’s an offer or deal or Raycon Sunglasses

Lots of people have main blogs and art blogs, but some people post art on main, or you can have an art blog and always reblog your art to your art blog/main blog; double dipping isn’t discouraged

You can reblog something as many times as you want, there’s no “you’ve tweeted this before” alert, old posts make the rounds again and you can reblog your art for morning or afternoon crowds so more of your followers see it, self reblogs are common!

Update - 10/29/21

All my future updates are going to be under a cut because there's been a few gnarlier things going on so, medical jibber jabber, reproductive health, and descriptions of surgical wounds below.

Update - 10/29/21

It's been a while so I figured I'd give another update, it's been 3 weeks since my surgery and I am fairly mobile and walking around the house and preparing my own simple meals. I can't bend over still, but my incision is mostly closed about 55% except for the bottom where it was opened up and a few inches on the top where it's scabbed instead of skin to skin. The scabs seem to be holding everything together though so I'm not worried about them opening up or anything.

I have my post op follow up on Monday afternoon, I'm glad that this is almost over and I'm thinking about letting my teachers know that I can start to work on my class materials again. I'm somewhat worried about being able to catch up, but I'm also trying to not stress about it because of it being an extraordinary circumstance and my teachers generally seem to be understanding.

I will update again in a few days after my post-op appointment.

Update - 10/20/21

I got my staples removed on the 18th, which was good, but there's a little complication with the bottom part of my incision. The top half closed beautifully, the lower half did not. It's healthy and clean, just- open. So instead of being able to be up and about a bit more I'm still stuck resting for two more weeks minimum before I can start being up more. On the bright side I can use my laptop so I should be able to start getting some things done again!

My cyst was 100% benign, but they were able to determine that I have the very early stages of endometriosis. At least I'll know for the future so no doctors can try to bullshit me if I say I'm in pain. Ugh, I'm feeling really all over the place emotionally about all of this because with that cyst being so large it was probably throwing my hormones all out of whack so my body is going to have to find a new normal which means I get to have hella mood swings until that happens lmfao. I cried like five times yesterday over the stupidest bullshit and I'm lowkey dreading these next few weeks.

Update - 10/10/21

I've been in the hospital for the past few days for monitoring and I've been doing really well, I'm actually going to be going home today, so I'm excited about that! I'm not allowed to drive or lift over 10 pounds for 6 weeks, so I should be fully recovered by the end of November. I'm really glad everything is going so well and thank everyone whose sent me well wishes, I appreciate them a lot!

Update - 10/8/21

I've had my surgery and my cust has been removed. It weighed 22 pounds and my incision is about a foot long, but there's no cancer so that is a win! I'll be in the hospital for a few days before going home to finish the recovery. Thank you gusy for the well wishes, I'm doing pretty okay!

I'm not sure how many people are going to be wondering where/if I have new content coming out, so I'm making this to pin to my page: On 10/3/21 I went to the ER with severe abdominal pain and they discovered I have a massive ovarian cyst and I'm having to have major surgery (on 10/8/21) to have it removed. For the time being I'm unsure how long I will be out of commission, so Whumptober and my fics are going on hiatus.

I will try to keep this post updated as events occur, but I will be in recovery for at minimum a month. My queue is still running so posts should still come as they normally would, but I will not be checking tumblr as much as I usually do. If you want to contact me directly, my DMs are open and it's probably the fastest way to get my attention.

1. why did you choose your url?

Many years ago, EarlGreyTea was the name I chose for the late, great Television Without Pity. I didn’t want something fandom-specific, so I chose the name of my favorite tea. I only found it later that it’s a Star Trek reference, oops. EarlGreyTea was already taken on LJ, so I added the 68, which is my birthday, and I’ve kept the name on every platform ever since.

2. any side blogs? if you have them, name them and why you have them.

I actually have several, but I don’t really use any of them, except the armes4eva blog, which I sometimes post interior design and Sebastian Stan things to lol

3. how long have you been on tumblr?

oh, goodness, I think 2012. Yes, I just checked, 2012.

4. do you have a queue tag?

No, I can’t be bothered lol. The only time I use the queue is when I do my year-end round-up (which didn’t happen this year because I was too depressed alas).

5. why did you start your blog in the first place?

Right after “The Reichenbach Fall” aired, I started writing “Sherlock” fic. But I was having a hard time finding active Sherlock communities on LJ. When I asked about it on Twitter, many people were like, “Oh, you’ve got to go to Tumblr, that’s where fandom is now.” And so that’s what I did!

6. why did you choose your icon/pfp?

That’s my icon! I’ve had it for years. I wonder if I can even remember how long. It’s a picture I took of a teapot and teacup I was served at breakfast outside by the pool at a fancy hotel in Las Vegas. I haven’t been to Las Vegas in a long time, let me see, it must have been...11 or 12 years ago.

7. why did you choose your header?

Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass is basically my favorite book (I count them as one). The older I get, the more relevant I find those books to what adulthood turned out to be like. So, anyway, it’s a quote from “Looking-Glass,” it’s what the Red Queen tells Alice, and I say it *all the time.*

I do not even know how to figure that out, I fail Tumblr lol

Why don’t I see this information??? In the beginning, I tried to follow back everybody who followed me, and that was how I learned that at the time there was a limit to how many people you can follow. So I stopped following back at that point (this was years ago). Then I realized I could follow people again because I guess people had deleted their Tumblrs or whatever, so I’ve tried to start following people back again, but I’m kind of sporadic about it. Anyway, all this is to say that I probably follow a lot of people.

11. have you ever made a shitpost?

I suppose I will let all of you be the judge of that!

12. how often do you use tumblr each day?

I mostly just glance at it for twenty minutes or so a night. Sometimes I might scroll on mobile during the day, and it’s actually my favorite social media platform to just scroll endlessly through if I’m feeling anxious and need to calm down. But if I’m having a normal stress-level day, I just kind of glance it over a little to see what’s going on in fandom-world.

13. did you ever fight/argument with another blog once? who won?

I don’t think so.

14. how do you feel about “you need to reblog this” posts?

I don’t do any of the chain-mail-ish ones. However, I am superstitious enough that I always reblog the good luck ones. They have never actually had an effect that I can see but why tempt fate! I’m not going to turn down luck!

A little guide on ao3 (by an ao3 user and writer)

Friendly reminder for mobile users! Ao3 is a website. It doesn't have (as far as im concerned) an official app for mobile, so better get comfy with using crome on your phone.

i really reccomend coley's videos if you want to get to know more fandoms, or get an inside look to how some stuff works. There also might be more vids about fandom's and fan works, so don't hesitate to look through some of her stuff!

So, what is Ao3 really?

Ao3 is a website made by fans for fans. There are no ads, and all content is free on Ao3. Anyone can post (with some age restrictions) and they can post anything.

How can I browse Ao3?

Ao3 does not require an account to view stories. You can easily browse as an anonymous user. You just are not able to view certain works, as creators have the ability to show their works to registered users only. Some cases, commenting is possible while anonymous, but again, it's up to the creator of the work.

If you want to be a creator and share works, you need an account.

An account also gives you the ability to bookmark works, so you can re-visit them, mark works for later, keeps a history of the works you've visited and allows you to favourite tags.

How do I get an Ao3 account?

When you first open the site, it gives you the option to "Get Invited". An invitation will be sent to your email anywhere from 24hrs later to a week later, depending on the amount of people in the automated queue.

After the invitation, you are able to set up your account like any other social media account. Pick a username, pseuds (name), description and bio. You can have a profile picture as well.

How do I navigate the site?

There are few ways to do so efficiently, but there's countless of ways you can experiment with to find which is more comfortable.

1st option: As the website loads, you can go to the 'Fandoms' tag.

Then, after clicking on it, this column appears. Through there, you can pick which media your fandom is from and from there, browse the huge list of different fandoms until you spot your own.

The list is in alphabetical order, so if your fandom begins with an "C", it shouldn't be too far down.

2nd option: At the top right, under your profile, and the options 'Post' and 'Log Out' should be a white oval search bar.

(im using my own account for demonstration)

When searching, there are many ways to work around it.

Personally, I press search as it is. It will lead you to a page where all the fanworks of the site are listed. (i believe its easiest, but always feel free to experiment)

From there, you press the 'Edit Your Search' button, located near the top right.

It will then lead you to a page with multiple fields.

Don't panic when you see all the fields. Only half those are of interest when you want to browse works for a fandom.

The most important ones are those under the Field name 'Work Tags'

Whatever you select under this field will be included in the works the site presents you with.

What are the work tags? What do they do?

Lets go through the options.

Fandom(s): when typing on this option, multiple fandom names will autofill in a list under the white space. If your fandom shows up, you can just click on it.

example:

From there, you can select the fandom you want to see works from. If your fandom doesn't show up, it can mean one of two things:

-there are no works for it

-it isn't popular enough to be picked up by the algorithm

After selecting one fandom, you can select another fandom, or more, to see works that are crossovers over universes.

Ratings: Ratings are selected by author. It defines the level of maturity it has in the work

- General audiences is the tag you want to use when nothing bad happens in the work. No swearing, no sexual activities, no violence or gore. It wont contain scenes that minors are not allowed to see.

- Teen and up audiences is the tag used for most works on the site. It is what would be used when you have mentions of/vague sexual content or violence. Normally, the most extreme stuff on there is excessive swearing, heavy angst and hurt/comfort with no excessive details

- Mature is the tag that is for 18+. It is mostly filled with one of following : Violence, Sexual Content, Ab*se, R@pe, Death and SH.

Reader descretion is advised by looking at the additional tags the author has provided, especially for those with triggers.

- Explicit is like Mature, but contains more graphic content. Works rated explicit mostly fall under the 'Graphic depictions of sexual content', 'Graphic depictions of Violence and Gore' or 'Graphic depictions of Ab*se, R@pe, or Self H*rm

Reader descretion is advised, stronger than mature, since it can be much more triggering. The works are scarily detailed sometimes.

- Not rated: the author has not given this work a rating because none of the other ratings fit the work. Pay special attention to the tags.

Warnings: Also known as Archive warnings by older users. The trigger warnings of Ao3. There are 6 archive warnings:

-Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings: The author didn't use the warnings, either because none of them fit the work's theme and warnings, or to avoid spoiling the story. Pay attention to the tags for any warnings.

-Graphic Depictions Of Violence: It is pretty self explanatory. Can contain any sort of violence, from wars, to simple fights, to ab*se of any kind. Can and often contain death. The type of violence is in the tags.

-Major Character Death: A main character in the story will die in this work. Pay attention to the tags always. The name of the character will be mentioned, as well as the way they die.

-No Archive Warnings Apply: None of the warnings apply. It is most times a perfectly safe work. Check the tags to make sure though!

-R@pe/Non-Con: The work contains non-consensual activities. Ranges from non-consensua sex to non-consensual use and ab*se of substances. Very close attention to the tags!

-Underage: The main character(s) in this work are underage/minors. This is normally tagged along sexual content so be aware and pay close attention to the tags!

Categories: This regards the relationships in the work:

- M/M, or better known as mlm or a relationship between two non-woment (men mostly, can include characters under the non-binary umbrella)

- M/F, a heterosexual relationship (is inclusive of trans characters too!)

- F/F, or wlw, or a relationship between two non-men (women mostly, can include characters under the non-binary umbrella)

- Gen, no sexual or romantic relationships are in this work, or if there are any, they arent of main focus.

- Multi: Polyamorous relationships, or multiple relationships are included in this work (this is also where threesomes+ are tagged in sometimes)

- Other relationships: One of the two people in the relationship is non-human (mostly), or the relationships are platonic/family.

Characters: The characters you want to be included in the story. This works just like the 'Fandom' filter, so the same things apply. You can tag as many characters as desirable.

Relationships: The relationships that you want present in the work. This includes both major and minor relationships. It can also include ended relationships (tagged Past x/y) and implied/referenced relationships. This works just like the Characters and Fandom filter.

Additional Tags: These are things the author has included to give potential readers an insight to the story. 'Angst', 'Fluff' and 'Smut' are additional tags. Works like the Relationships filter, so all same applies.

Is there anything I have to avoid/ I should avoid?

There is this very infamous tag, 'Dead Dove: Do not eat.' This tag is a warining to readers that the things in the work are really messed up, and can include anything illegal in it. PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE REST OF THE TAGS IF YOU STILL ARE INTERESTED.

How else can I filter works?

You can choose how they are:

sorted (Titles, Authors, Hits, Kudos, Comments, Bookmarks, and Best Match)

the word count (from 1 word to millions)

the language (most are on there)

the amount of chapters

if the work is complete of not

when it last updated/when was posted

and if there are crossovers.

These are all options that author has to include, and therefore you can sort freely. Most are bulletin options you can click on.

What if I want to find a specific work?

If you happen to know one of these: Author, Title, Fandom or Rating, you will find it. If you were reccomended one, it's better to ask for the author or the title, to make looking for it easier.

Can I find a specific author/ user?

People search is for finding users on the site

Bookmark search helps you look through other people's public bookmarks. Not really used.

Tag search finds works that include this specific tag you searched. Also not used a lot.

People can see my bookmarks?

When bookmarking a work, you are able to do a lot.

if you do not want your bookmarks to be visible to the public, make sure to check off the Private bookmark box at the bottom left.

Common terms thrown around by Ao3 users:

-tags: the additional tags of the work

-kudos: liking a story

-bookmarks: saving/saved stories. makes it easy to revist. you can see your bookmarks from your profile

-hits: the amount of people that have clicked on a story. Isn't necessary they liked it, but they did click on it.

And those are the basics! If you had to take one thing only, its ALWAYS READ TAGS

Introductory post! Kind of negative/venty, so under the cut.

So this is a remade account. My old blog was modronoid, but it seems that early Wednesday morning, tumblr saw fit to just...terminate me with absolutely no warnings or explanation as to why.

Is it because I was reblogging stuff too often? Because I was posting music (through links that lead directly to a page where you could buy the songs in question)? Because my banner in mobile was taken from a company’s stock picture of some carpet they had for sale, even though I said what the source was openly in my description? I don’t know because staff won’t even talk to me about the termination.

I know it’s not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things but...I’m pissed. I had a bunch of really awesome posts in my queue. I had over 200 accounts followed and I can’t possibly remember them all; I didn’t back up my blog because I simply didn’t think they’d just terminate me out of the blue. I had several mutuals that I really enjoyed interacting with and now I have to reach out to them again. I lowkey put a lot of work into that blog and it’s all gone now, probably because of some errant bot that the staff can’t be bothered to keep in check. I almost didn’t come back because of how discouraged I was, but I missed you people, so I decided, life handed me a lemon here so I might as well attempt some lemonade. Hence the whole undead theme of the blog, lol.

But, at risk of being terminated again:

This is absolutely unacceptable. I have contacted you multiple times about the wrongful termination of my original blog and you have continued to ignore me. I realize that in the end using your service is a privilege, not a right, but don’t even THINK about monetizing this website before you can, say, stop your algorithms from banning people who did nothing to deserve it! It’s disgusting that you’re pushing a service absolutely no one wants when you can’t even be bothered to fix the numerous bugs that this site has had for years now.

About Me | 09: Just Some Updates

Hi, everyone! Just wanted to pop in and say that things have gotten quite busy at work, and that I’ll be a little slow to respond until things calm back down. That being said, I wanted to make sure that everyone knows where I’m at with certain asks and with my next series (three brotherly guesses which one it’ll be lol)!

TL;DR: I’m currently writing AMOMK and will definitely keep my eye out for more of your darling ideas for this world! I hope to start sharing chapters in the next month or so. Also, if you’ve sent me an ask this September, I’ve most likely received it and am actively working on those, too! Working steadily in the background on A Map of Mrs. Kims / AMOMK (click here to follow the thread on mobile)! It’s taking a bit longer because of all the interwoven parts, but I’m having a ton of fun in this world that you so generously gave to! I really hope you’ll like this story and experimental approach, and again, thanks so much for your patience as I write! For all of you who have been interested in the series, your enthusiasm has really brought me to new, inspiring places -- thank you for being so giving with your time, imagination, and care!

Q: What’s taking so long?

Work is picking up, but in an exciting way! I’ve been meaning to share more about my work and career with you in another About Me post or something, but work usually picks up around this time of year. My work as a researcher is something I love almost as much as I love writing. It’s my dream to be able to write fiction full-time, but I also have a strong passion for psychology (if you couldn’t already tell from Matchmaker and Office Hours or literally anywhere I talk about Yoongi and psychology lol).

Thanks for those of you who have reached out to check in and see how I’m doing! The only thing I have to complain about at the moment is that I miss you all -- is that weird to say? I miss having more time to write and share with you, and I’m eagerly awaiting getting back to the pace I was at the moment things settle down at work. Thanks for bearing with me, and I hope you’re well, happy, safe, and sound! More to share with you soon! 💜

one of my favorite cicely mary barker flower fairies is the blackthorn fairy, i think she’s so pretty and she looks like me when i had my natural hair color

@vivaciouslady is my old hollywood/vintage blog and @tiredfaery is my side/personal that i post random stuff on, mostly things i want to save for later like recipes or witchy stuff

oh boy a while, since august, 2013. back in those days this was a total tumblr girl 1D 5sos zoella acacia brinley justgirlythings blog lolol then it was a soft grunge blog for a lonnnng time and then it sat relatively dormant for a couple years until I changed the url to blackthornfaery in june, 2018 and made it into what it is now. i don’t even think of this as those other blogs anymore because i got all but 100 of my followers after i made the switch 5 years after i originally made the blog lol BUT if you scroll back far enough you’ll get some mad 2014 nostalgia posts

4. do you have a queue tag?

no, i’m on mobile most of the time and it’s just so much easier to press and tap without opening up the post to edit sorryyyyy

5. why did you start your blog in the first place?

well originally i was just really into all those things i mentioned earlier but as far as changing it to blackthornfaery i just really liked how safe and cozy the whole cottagecore, gardencore, etc. aesthetics felt and even though i have always loved the stuff i post about now (like pride and prejudice and beatrix potter) i’d never really made them a part of my personality that i shared and i wanted to change that. then a few months after i changed the blog something really terrible and tragic happened to me and i needed a safe calm space even more than ever and seeing all these lovely little cottages and garden and picnic baskets is that for me

as for @vivaciouslady i just really really love old hollywood
