Hi, Lena! Red ended up being one of my favourite characters in ShoH (he's such a sweetheart!) and I have a few questions about his family, if you didn't mind answering them. No pressure of course! Where does Red's family live? Are Red's sisters much older than Red? What are the mage specializations in Red's family? Do any of the family members share Red's red hair? How intentional was naming Red "LiefRED" by his parents? What were Red's parents's occupations before their retirement (?)? Have a nice day! <3

Hi anon, I'm so glad you ended up falling in love with Red! :) He actually talks quite a bit about his family in Chapter 7 if you choose to share a room with him and ask him the right questions, as well as during his first day off interlude, so some of this information is in the game itself (just in case you're curious to hear it straight from him)! And in case you haven't seen this post, here's that as well! To answer your questions:

His parents/family home is in Stroud!

Idalia is 6 years older than Red, Isodel is 5 years older, Lydda is 4 years older, and Gwyn is 3 years older!

I haven't concretely nailed down his parents' specializations (I think his dad tends towards Binding and his mom towards Conjuration, but don't hold me to that too concretely); as for sisters, Idalia is talented in the astral arts and favors Elementalism, though she's a fair hand at Battle Magic and Healing when she has to be; Isodel is strong in both Shifting and Wild Magic; Lydda is mostly a Scryer; and I'm pretty sure Gwyn is a Binder!

Red gets his vivid red hair from his dad, whereas his mom is more of a strawberry blonde/faintly reddish-goldish, so technically everyone in his family has red hair, it's just to varying degrees! Idalia's hair turned darker as she grew older and is now more brownish, Isodel has dark red hair, and Lydda and Gwyn both have goldish-reddish strawberry blonde hair, with Lydda's hair being a bit paler/more yellowy than Gwyn's?

Actually, Red's name wasn't intentionally chosen because of his hair color, they had already picked it before he was born and didn't know he was going to have such red hair until he came out! Liefred is kind of an uncommon, old-fashioned Mage name that is typically shortened to "Freddy," which was what they were originally planning to nickname him LOL. I think the girls might have picked it out of a baby name book and were like 'omggg we can call him Freddy, wouldn't that be so cute <3' while all excited about the prospect of having a baby brother, and his parents, a bit worn after having four strong-willed girls, were kind of like *shrug* yeah sounds good to me!

I think his parents are semi-retired, but still work a few days out of the week. His father works as a court scribe/trusted advisor to a local mayor, while his mom works as the bookkeeper and master of records for a Healer's clinic, though she used to work for a physicker when he was a kid! Right now they're mostly concerned with tending to their garden and hosting reading circles (aka book clubs) :)

Tobacco Beetle AU

This is background for the main hero, her friends, and potential future friends. Villains will have to be a separate post because this is already very very long.

Yay spidersona world building!!

Where:

This takes place in Richsten, a southern city with a port in Virginia. The city is not big, nor does it really matter to most people. New York is where most of the superheroes are, like the Avengers, and where many of the major crime organizations, like Hydra, put their focus. Not many look to Richsten. And that suits people in the city just fine. 

The city once was a hub for tobacco markets and things like cigarette rolling, with tobacco fields still lying just outside of the city. The smell of tobacco still fills the city, with its lingering smell reminding of the past that still touches the city. The movements of those markets out of the city and the slow movement away of the rolling factories has led to a slow decline of the city, leaving it poorer than it once was. 

Its age also leaves it haunted, full of ghosts. Just like the smell of tobacco, spirits linger throughout the city, reminders of the past that touch everything.

Martha Anne Taylor

Name: Martha Anne Taylor

CB Radio handle: Ginger Snap

Aka: The Dynamic Tobacco Beetle “Baccy”

Powers: Climbing walls, super strength, enhanced senses, immunity to certain toxins, can digest less nutritious food (like rotten food) with no problem, good at riding horses

Toolkit: rope shooters; designed after books she found in the library on grappling hooks. Shes not a brilliant scientist or engineer, but she can copy and twist. And she does her best. But they are not always operational to the highest standard. A lot of the times, she just jumps and climbs it it seems like she can get where she needs to without swinging

Brown leather armor, made by her own hand from bits of leather she has hoarded over the years from the stable her grandfather runs.

Weakness: Cold!! She gets slower and slower as she gets colder. at 39.2 Fahrenheit (4 °C) she passes out. she learns to layer pretty fast. 

Homemade Biscuits and iced sweet tea. Offer those and she'll be distracted enough for you to go commit crimes

Age: 16ish

Height: 5 foot

Backstory: Martha has been living with her maternal grandparents since forever. The rest of her family has been chipped away over the years. Her mom died at childbirth, her dad died in a hurricane with her paternal grandparents when she was three. 

She is a horse loving history nerd who might be just slightly too obsessed with the American Revolution. And with history in general. She knows so much about the history of the city and feels like it is a part of her bones.

She ends up at an exposé for Agrioscorp (oscorp of this world). They were developing pesticides to use against crop pests. Martha is there for a school project about crops and then she is bitten by a tobacco beetle (Lasioderma serricorne) that the pesticide was supposed to murder, but instead altered its genes and made it able to give powers through a bite. It gets one bite and dies. She doesnt know what to do with the powers at first. Shes never really thought shed do much, content to grow up like her grandparents and take over their carriage business when she is old enough too. She’s not even really planning on college. She's not dumb, or unmotivated, just content with her lot in life. And then, two weeks after finding out she has powers, her Grandmother takes her on a surprise trip to New York to see the museums there. And then they end up in an attack. Some robbers. Human. Desperate. Her grandmother keeps her pushed back, unable to do anything. Some heroes burst in and the robbers, startled and scared of what is going to happen to them start firing wildly. Those the robber who shot her grandmother is felled by friendly fire and the other robbers are taken up by the cops and heroes.

Martha decides to become a hero. She doesnt want people to die like her grandmother had. But she also doesnt want to inspire fear. She grew up watching too much A-team, Red Dawn and Smokey and the Bandit to feel like police and government are the only paths to justice. So she suits up and heads out. She figures out how to fight, but more importantly to her, she figures out how to talk. To coax and to listen. She wears her opponents down until they are willing to talk and then she hauls them off to fill them with food at local bbq and breakfast places. She hoards all of her allowance to afford this. And some of those local business band together to create a small fund and find jobs willing to hire ex-cons. She listens to what the criminals have to say, their stories and their troubles, and tries to get them to places willing to help. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. A lot of people think that she’s just being taken advantage of. And she's fine with that. Life is hard enough without her adding to it. Some people just need a little mercy and grace. 

And so her career begins!

Name: Gwynn Stacy

Aka: Not a villain. Or hero.

Powers: Does being a wizz at science count? Lol. Also super strong death glares. His peers fear them.

Toolkit: Science.

Age: 16 almost 17

Height: 5’ 4”

Weakness: Wants to rise from his current life. He is willing to erase his accent and save his time 

Backstory: Born and raised in Richsten. He wants to leave and/or get a job in chemistry or bioscience. He is taking all the AP’s he can and is planning to go to college. He prefers to stick to the rules and often is the one to encourage people to get calmer. He sort of is against taking Ella all over town against her father’s wishes. Often over ruled and follows along to try to keep things from getting worse.

His dad is Captain Stacy of the police force. His dad wants him to be able do whatever he wants in life.

Name: Ella Osborn

CB Radio handle: Kelpie

Aka: Not a villain. Or hero.

Powers: Good at communing with the dead. 

Toolkit: Lots of free time. Lots of knowledge of myths, legends and ghost.

Age: 17

Height:5’ 4” 

Weakness: Physically very weak and sickly. Not able to walk very far without needing to sit. She uses mobility devices like wheelchairs and a cane (depending on the day) inside her home. Norman Osborn does not want her to leave the home most of the time, so often she does not have these aids outide of the house. Bruises very easily.

Easily possessed. But the ghosts cant do much other than talk before she passes out and they are expelled. 

Backstory: Ella was born sickly. Often her stomach does not take in all the nutrients and calories of food. And so she stays relatively weak. She is forced to be homeschooled, but not by her parents. She has tutors and often is ignored by her mother and father. She was lonely till a chance meeting with martha (before martha had powers). Martha starts helping her sneak out and hauls her around the city.

She loves myths and the supernatural and has dedicated much of her time to learning about them. She becomes the go to expert on ghosts in the group once Martha and Quentin realize just how haunted the city is.

She would say Martha is her best best friend. 

Quentin is her best friend: yelled at her dad on her behalf.

Gwynn is her friend.

Name: Quentin Mason nee Beck 

CB Radio handle: Dreamer

Aka: Mysterium (this worlds mysterio)

Powers: None. Though ghosts like him. And so do most stray cats.

Toolkit: Drones!! And smoke and holograms.

Weakness: Drama. He will sacrifice a surefire way to win if another method would look cooler or would be more dramatic.

Age: 16

Height: 5’ 9”

Backstory: Quentin is from New York originally and loved the big city and really wanted to end up on the stage or in movie making. He loves the theater. He never wanted to leave New York. his mom left his dad when he was 5 and his dad died when he was 11. He was left with Phineas Mason (tinkerer) due to the man being life time friends with his dad. Phineas makes weapons for the underground and Quentin learned a lot of his coding and building knowledge from him or by working on his gear. He loves Phineas but they get into fights at times. One of the biggest fights was Phineas’ decision to move them away from New York. That argument meant a long bout of silent treatment leading up to the move. But eventually, Quentin came around, understanding that there were too many heroes in New York for them to safely stay and continue to not be on the radar. And he doesnt love the idea of Phineas being killed or taken from him.

He ends up at the same high school as Martha and he feels like a fish out of water. They become friends as she helps him adjust and he starts to appreciate the city. He makes her a CB radio because she does not have a cell phone. He also becomes friends with Gywnn and Ella. He gets into a loud fight publicly against Norman Osborn for trying to keep Ella inside all the time. He is not allowed to visit. 

He ends up becoming a super villain, not out of any real anger or anything, but because he feels like the city needs one. It has a hero, doesnt it? Heroes need villains. 

He becomes friends with Baccy after his first defeat when he is dragged to a BBQ place: Woofsters. He helps her fight other villains when he feels like she needs it. He claims its to keep the name of the number one villain of the city. But he actually does it because he is besties with her and kinda doesnt want her to die.

Potential future friends!:

Name: Jackson 'Montana' Brice

Aka: tbd but leaning towards Tremors. 

Powers: None. But he is super willful. 

Toolkit: Makes his own shocker costume using a vague knowledge of mechanic from having to fix cars and guns growing up. It is a very very cobbled together piece of tech

Age: 19

Height: 5’ 6”

Weakness: always hungry and is a bit on the weaker side than is healthy for his age. He also will do anything for his kids. Whatever sacrifice or thing that must be done he will do.

Backstory: Raised in the Brice family, a family of mercs who travel about and take jobs. Threatening and offing people. But mostly threatening. They have a right of passage to adulthood and being allowed to take jobs alone, typically taken at the age of 18. He did it at 15. And survived it. Before this point, he traveled the country and world with his dad. 

At 15 he enters the world alone with some lingering support from his family. At 17 he takes in a 16 year old Ox. The kid is bigger than him, but had been stuck in fight rings. He settles down in Richsten to provide some stability and let Ox get schooling. He ends up taking in a 14-year-old Dan who has been left on the streets. 

Montana feels responsible for these two like a father. Or older brother. Depends on the moment. They all work together as enforcers, taking on jobs for the big man. But he also does extra work, security for concerts, odd jobs around town, anything to get a little more money. And he skips meals when his kids arent around to save more. He keeps them afloat by the skin of his teeth and pure stubbornness.

He becomes friends with Quentin when Quentin cuts him a deal to fix a calculator for cheaper. He and Quentin like similar music and Montana helps him get into shows that Montana is security for. Quentin is happy to give more deals and over time its friendship. Close friendship.

And so when he ripped apart an RC car to get a lot of the components for his villain persona and it glitches after the first few times out, he comes to quentin. Who helps make it better after extracting a promise. No killing. And Montana is happy to agree.

Name: Ox Brice

Aka: tbd but Ox??? maybe

Powers: none. But is a good fighter

Toolkit: really good at just powering through pain. Good at watching and reading people.

Age: 18

Height: 5’ 11”

Weakness: His family.

Backstory: Ox was abandoned young at an orphanage. An orphanage that kept the lights on by selling kids to fight rings. He was not well-loved by the staff and so when he was old enough to throw a punch he was sold. He learned quickly to keep his head down and mouth shut. He meets Montana when he is 16 when Montana is breaking up the ring on his own to get some other persons lost son. And he sees his chance and he helps Montana destroy the ring. Montana offers him a family. And Ox takes the chance presented to him.

Name: Dan Brice

CB Radio handle: Silver Tongued Devil

Aka: tbd maybe bullet…. idk

Powers: none. But!! Quick study and hyper good memory. This works both for and against him

Toolkit: mixed fighter. Spent a lot of time figuring out any fighting style he saw. Also good at info gathering

Age: 16

Height: 5 foot

Weakness: easy to egg into having a fight. Especially if the other Enforcers are insulted. 

Backstory: he grew up in a house with three other kids and a mom that didn't want him. His dad was a trucker and would let him ride along during summers. He loved those long hauls that took him away from angry slaps and digging words. He spent most of the rest of the time out of the house, learning as many different fight styles that he can to keep himself safe at school at the very least.

That all ends when his father is killed in a supervillain attack while trucking when Dan is 14. His mom packs him into a car and drops him in the middle of Richsten, telling him that he reminds her too much of his father and that she cannot stand for him to stay in her house. And he wanders the streets for a little bit until Montana finds him fighting off some guy tring to steal the little bit of money he has.

Starts talking to Martha and friends over cb radio for homework help and eventually becomes friends with them at school.

2/10/2024: Happy Lunar New Year!

Who's that little redhead, you may ask? That's Isaac Tettares, Baron of Tisis and the necromantic heir of the Fourth House, and despite being of Chinese ancestry, he's never celebrated Lunar New Year before. They don't have that in space in the future.

(Isaac began life as an Emerson Wellie Wisher doll, but he's since been rewigged with a ZazouCustomDolls wig and dressed in a way he's more comfortable with, thanks to this set.)

Hearing that he'd never had Lunar New Year before, Corinne, Gwynn, and May set out to throw a celebration! Since it's the Year of the Dragon, they're also accompanied by Xiaoying and Guilan, two Fluffnest stuffies.

Corinne is wearing the Lunar New Year outfit; Gwynn is wearing the shirt and skirt from this lil outfit sold by 2debsadorables on eBay, while Isaac is wearing the vest; May is wearing Ivy's New Years dress.

Gwynn and Corinne took another sister picture with the dragons, too.

Later, Isaac's found family (Abigail and Jeannemary, of course) showed up to celebrate with him, and May taught Abigail how to properly give red envelopes to the littles in her life. Isaac, as you can see, is very thrilled.

Hello!! You mentioned Gwynn brainrot so here's a chance to ramble about her if you feel like it!! Or any of your girls who occupies your brain, really, they're all top tier

hehe thank you nero, i WILL.

gwynn is my knowledge cleric in a d&d campaign i've been playing in for almost three years (!!!). brief backstory speedrun is that she was an archaeologist pre-game, has always been absolutely in love with ancient cities/magic/technology and has always been a bit of a knowledge hungry bastard about it. she married a necromancer that she met in school (that's rena, the other half of my hubris lesbians tag) and they were inseparable shady little unethical research wives for years. this culminated in their joint attempt, two years before the game started, to resurrect a very powerful ancient city. to make a long story short gwynn got cold feet at the last minute and sabotaged the whole thing, which resulted in (what she thought was but did ultimately turn out not to be, it's all Very Complicated but they're working on it) rena's death.

so obviously that was all very traumatic and guilt-inducing and gwynn has spent the years since grappling with things like 'how far is too far in the pursuit of knowledge' and 'oh maybe i actually DON'T want to be a completely terrible person but that's really goddamn hard sometimes' and so on and so forth. lots of fun little dilemmas in her life but fundamentally her main defining trait has always been and will always be her curiosity; she's never been able to resist a mystery, she loves to learn and ask questions and Know Things. which has bitten her in the ass many times in and out of game but it's just so goddamn fun to play!!

she and her party are currently in a very mysterious town, where they initially went to gather intel on this one dude who's this super mysterious menacing figure whose presence has been felt the entire campaign even though we've never actually met him. but the town has so much OTHER weird shit going on and there are so many little things that are so connected and it's so fun to lose myself in gwynn because she's going FERAL over it. girl is at her happiest when she has a mystery to solve (and having a distraction from the shitshow that is her personal life is a bonus lol) and it's so fun puzzling through things as her.

Heresy As Healing

When I first got into paganism and witchcraft, I did what I think a lot of people do and took a very hard turn in to “fuck Christianity!” The literature and discourse of the early and mid 2000′s didn't help this mindset either. There was a lot of talk about how Wicca (I was an eclectic wiccan at the time) was the survival of an ancient pre-Christian religion and that Christianity stole its practices, holidays, and pretty much everything else, from paganism.

Needless to say my religious baggage went unpacked for YEARS?

That was until i left my more Wicca-inspired practice and found “traditional witchcraft”. In these spaces i found something that i had been lead to believe was impossible: Witchcraft and Christianity coexisting. Not only coexisting, but a style of witchcraft created by almost biblical teachings on their heads and pulling out the magic. Lucifer and Azaezel being sources of witch-power, Cain being the first Sorcerer, the witch’s horned one as the Devil! Seeing the witch-trials as not simply a tragedy, but pulling wisdom and magic from the confessions. All of this was new and exciting!

Beginning my research into this amazing new avenue was the first step in healing my heart and soul from the hitherto ignored scars left by my time in the Church. The more I walked this strange and crooked path, the more I found value in heresy. Calling to the Man in Black at a crossroads, flying from my body to the Witch’s Sabbath, reciting the Lord’s Prayer backwards. All of these were powerful in ways I never thought they could be. I laughed at myself. If you had told me at 18 that in 5 years id be dancing with the Devil, I would have raged about there being no Devil in the Craft. While I understand now why the 90s-2000s were so “anti-devil” and “love and light” I’m glad that we can now look at witchcraft and its history with a more nuanced lens.

Now in some ways I've come full circle. I am not a Christian, and I don't think i ever will be, but I pray to saints, I have a growing interest in Mary, I use psalms and bible verses in my spell work, i craft rosaries as a devotional act to the spirits I serve and honour. My patron goddess has even started to come to me with Marian imagery and titles.

In Fayerie Traditionalism/Fayerism we’re encouraged (sometimes outright told) to avoid and expunge all Abrahamism from our lives and certainly from our Sorcery. We’re told that there is no magic or value in Abrahamic traditions. This has been my biggest hurdle with this path. For me, i find so much power in using folk magic that would be deemed “witchcraft” by the Church, regardless of how much scripture is in it. I think to continue this idea of “there's no place for Christianity in witchcraft” does such a disservice to the history of witchcraft in Europe and the US. So many practices would not exist if our ancestors had not learned to synchronize and hide in plain site. I’m not calling on God when I use a psalm to heal, I'm speaking words of power that have been spoken for centuries by other healers and workers. When I pray the rosary, I do it to honor my ancestors who found comfort in it. 

For me, the catholic folk magic and heretical aesthetics do not deter me from path of Fayerie Traditionalism, it is simply another avenue to the same goal. The spirits of this tradition have not shown any ill-will to how I work. Gwynn still comes when I call him “Devil” or “Master” and Gwynnevar herself told me to call her “Our Lady Down Below” or “Our Lady of the Mound/Hill” Taking back my power from Christianity and seeing the Wisdom in its heresy has made me a better person and a stronger sorcerer. I have not lost my faith in the Fayerie People but have come closer to them.

He's controlling in the kind of way where he's obviously trying to compensate for his own internal issues. Delaney was certain that Angelica would be the last person (outside of his family) that he ever cared about. But now you're in his life, he cares so much, and it makes him panicky. That's why, while he acts like a charming gentleman on the surface, Delaney has some very bad habits in the relationship. He's greedy for your love and terrified of losing you, so he gets possessive of you and jealous of everything else you pay attention to. He just wants to have you— in every way.

It hurts, though. Delaney is genuinely scared to be this attached to someone, and it makes him panicky and frustrated to see his own weakness. He's a bit of a distant lover, yet at the same time, he's desperately clingy and always seeking out your approval. In a lot of ways, his partner becomes a replacement for Angelica, with him developing the same frantic need for them to acknowledge him. He's also highly emotionally immature. Clueless, really.

Gwynn

Highly self-sacrificing. Gwynn is the type of lover who always wants you to be happy, even (and especially) at the cost of his own needs. He's very gentle, caring, and attentive, but that comes with the issue of him constantly trying to put himself down in favor of pleasing you. It makes him nervous for you to pay too much attention to him, so he'll try to keep your focus away from himself and his interests and desires as much as possible. Gwynn thinks that being your lover means bending to your will and giving you what you want no matter how it hurts or distresses him.

However, he's also just sweet. You'll feel safe around him no matter what. Gwynn accepts his partner for every part of them. He tends to overlook negative traits and potential red flags, dismissing them as "just part of you", and nothing to worry about. He wants to take care of you and be useful, bending himself to whatever you want so that you'll feel comfortable around him. And while he's somewhat shy about it, he's very affectionate.

Braithe 

Protective. So, so protective. Since he's never had any kind of relationship outside of his brothers, Braithe only knows how to show fondness the same way he does to them. This means that he's still grouchy and short-tempered, but also very obviously trying to keep you safe. He's not good at affection or closeness. Any advances on your part leave him red-faced and defensive, and yet, he's clingy in a way where there's no mistaking that he cares. You'll always find him doing little things to make your life easier— even though he'll deny that he did them on purpose.

Braithe is also bound to idolize you. Just like it is with Delaney, he starts to see you as someone who can do no wrong. Pessimistic worries about whether or not you'll stay with him are a common issue, though he's massively embarrassed by how unrealistic he's being when the anxiety kicks in. He's nervous about what you're going to want from him, if he'll be able to fulfill it, and if he'll ever really be good enough for someone like you to keep around.

Argyris

Ah, the disaster incarnate. Argyris is a tough one to be around, especially when you're trying to have him for a lover. When he's actually attached to you, he goes back and forth between near-worshipful adoration and vicious hatred every time he thinks something is going to go wrong. He tries to charm you with his looks and anything else that could possibly catch your attention, but his self-loathing is so great that you can barely touch him without triggering a nasty meltdown. He wants you all to himself at the same time that he can't believe he deserves to have that.

And of course, all of his issues kick in quickly. Since he's used to forever being in the shadow of the "better" twin, Argyris is convinced that you'll eventually find someone better too. He really, really wants to prove that he can be good enough, but every time you're gentle with him, it feels like he's being turned inside out to put all of his most painful, vulnerable places on display. He's terribly possessive and pushes you away all at once.

Auriel

Especially in the beginning, Auriel is distant. He's the type of person who's too afraid of failure to really try at things, so even in a relationship, he's fearing rejection a lot more than he wants to admit. So he keeps his guard up when interacting with you, always trying to look his best in front of you so you won't realize that he's not the golden child he was always supposed to be. Affection is hard to handle, let alone give, so you're always the one making the first move. Auriel really just doesn't know how to process respecting someone— and he does respect you.

He's also a very jealous one. If you spend any time around Argyris, he'll be furious. That anger is entirely fueled by thinly buried insecurity, though, and it's also precisely what he needs to start showing how much he cares. Even then, he's bad at doing things for you or fulfilling your needs. He loves you, but it's so, so hard to leave his old, selfish habits behind. All of that combined makes him tense and desperate, which isn't exactly a safe combination.

Viorica

He's uncomfortable to be in a relationship with, in a lot of ways. Viorica is legitimately trying his best to be a good partner for you, but his definition of "good partner" tends to line up more with "emotional punching bag", mostly because he doesn't know anything else. He fully expects you to take out any and all bad feelings on him— both because he deserves it and because he's yours. Somehow, he's both needy and attentive, always wanting more from you at the same time that he acts like he'd give his soul away if you asked for it. It's all incredibly hard to deal with.

Viorica really doesn't know what you want from him. He can't be very pleasant to be around, but you don't make use of him the way he expects, either. And that makes him nervous. At the same time that he obviously adores every aspect of your being, he constantly comes across as nervous and waiting for something bad to hit. It's hard for him to believe that he could really have a good relationship; there has to be some kind of catch, in the end.

Umber

Being in a relationship with Umber is a lot like a perpetual babysitting job. He's difficult, to say the very least. Since he feels a massive need to overcompensate for everything he, deep down, thinks is wrong about himself, you're constantly dealing with these attempts to be bigger and better and stronger than he really is. Umber desperately wants to impress you. He loves you, and that just makes him all the more frantic. He's constantly trying to show off and look good, all while missing the mark on what you actually want and need from him as a lover and partner.

Being so massively insecure, Umber has a hard time accepting that you really have feelings for him. He's clingy because he's always scared you're going to leave him and treats you like a servant because that's all he knows how to do. No one's ever seen him as anything but a useless runt before, so all of the attention he gets from you leaves him panicked and needy. You have to manage his worst sides— but he's also easy to feel sorry for.

1/1/2024: Happy New Year! Here are the last pictures from the Saint Alecto's holiday party.

First, Corinne (wearing her meet outfit and accessories) and her friend May (wearing the Sequin Penguin Outfit and the hat from the Winter Sparkles Outfit - because that outfit's owner, who will be introduced soon, did not want a hat!!) are entering after some time on the slopes. To Corinne's delight, her little sister Gwynn (wearing an outfit from seller Isful on eBay) has arrived, so she has to introduce May.

Next, our dear Abigail (wearing the anniesetc2006 plaid dress and brown loafers/glasses that she's been seen in before and a Battat cloak/hat) introduces her own new little to the party. This is Sir Jeannemary Chatur, cavalier primary of the Fourth House and a little punk (originally a Kendall doll, wearing the light-up shoes she arrived in and a shirt/pants combo from tbiever1 on eBay). Jeanne is sort of cranky; she doesn't have her necromancer Isaac, her piercings, or her sword! As such, Abigail has brought her over to be introduced to Gwynn, since they're of similar age.

(At first Jeanne thinks Gwynn is kind of preppy, but then Gwynn tells her about ice skating, which means having blades on your feet, and that's totally badass. They can be friends.)

Finally, in a little vignette that didn't fit anywhere else, another new arrival, Joss Kendrick (in generic tights and sneakers, the Floral Toile Dress from the Janie & Jack collection, and the Black Velveteen Coat), is making friends with another former Girl of the Year, Luciana (in her Starry Night Outfit and Rebecca's Winter Coat). They're just vibing.
