New jph^2 idea: after everyone forgets about Peter. Peter lives his life and gets his GED. Taking college courses when he can. His rent goes up and he can’t afford it but he finds this place where this guy is renting places pretty cheap. He has two other roommates. Harry the one renting out the rooms is looking into his dead father. Harley, one of the boys, renting is spying on Johnny for Stark industries. Johnny has just got powers and needed away from his sister. The four slowly fall in love with one another.

A sad M is never good see. It’s really good she’s got P to lean on and help her refocus for Lyon. Ngl, I suspect Emma will probably leave M on the bench. I hope Emma proves me wrong but she’ll stick stubbornly to the Millie & Keisha pairing even though it’s not been a convincing pairing. I still don’t understand how the woso pundits keep trying to say it is the best combo.

Folding bowie knives and dirks, 19th century
The terms “folding dirk” and “folding bowie knife” are used, often interchangeably, to refer to large, well-made, usually ornate jack knives of the mid-19th century that were designed primarily as weapons. Strictly speaking, “folding dirk” refers only to such knives that have double-edged “dirk” or dagger blades. “Folding bowie,” the more general term, encompasses larger folding dirks, as well as big folding combat knives with clip-point or spear-point blades.
Folding dirks and bowies were the pocket-carry counterparts of the better-known fixed-blade bowie knives. Bowie knives leapt to national attention in 1827 with the notorious Sandbar Fight involving James Bowie and remained in vogue for about half a century. The folding bowie may have been just as popular as the less costly fixed blade in the 1830s, the enthusiastic early years of the bowie trend. By the 1850s, the big folders were in eclipse. After the Civil War, only small folding dirks were still available.
Almost all folding dirks and bowie knives were made in Sheffield and are over 4 1/2 inches long closed. They are generally slender, and most have a cross-guard integral with the front bolsters. Ornamental appearance was an important consideration in the design of folding dirks and bowies. Consequently, they were made in a wide variety of shapes. Another factor in their diversity of shape is that most were made from circa 1830 to 1860, before mass production and pattern standardization had taken hold in the cutlery industry. Not only are the shapes of the big knives varied but so, too, are their decorations. Their bolsters are almost always ornately embossed.
Though the knives were handmade, their fancy nickel-silver bolsters were mass-produced. Standard designs were stamped out by specialist companies and sold to the makers. Some of the original dies used to stamp these fancy mounts still exist, which helps account for a certain amount of counterfeiting—most of which is inept—and questionable repair work.
Handle materials on folding dirks and bowies are generally of high quality. Stag, ivory and mother-of-pearl are the most often encountered. Horn and tortoise shell are more unusual. We have not observed bone or wood handles on them, but some may exist.
The principal makers of folding dirks and bowies seem to have been Samuel C. Wragg, William and Samuel Butcher, George Wostenholm & Sons, and Robert and Joseph Lingard. Many other Sheffield names are found on the knives as well.

JPH^2 Bingo Card - Presumed Dead, Funeral, and Peter Gets a Dog
Tumblr media
Losing You Hurts So Much, But Getting You Back Makes Up for It
Peter has a death threat against him and won't listen to Tony.
Ao3 Link here
Chapter 1: Losing You
Peter looked at the document before him. He was trying to breathe but he was screwed there. Someone wanted to kill him. He had assassins after him because of his latest takedown of a crime boss. Tony looked just as concerned.
“So what are we going to do?” Peter asked.
“You are going to stop being Spider-Man for a bit,” Tony said. “We will come up with a plan for this.”
“I can’t stop being Spider-Man?!” Peter shouted. Tony went to argue but he stopped.
“We will have to come up with a plan that will keep you safe and then you can go back to being Spider-Man. I will have Iron Boy take over your patrol for a bit,” Tony suggested.
“Look, Iron Boy couldn’t do my job as I do,” Peter said. Tony went to argue more but Peter walked out of the door done with the argument.
~
Harley knew Peter was upset when he came into their shared apartment. Harry and Johnny seemed to be too focused on the game they were battling onto notice but they would notice.
“I've been treated like I can’t do my job,” Peter confided in Harley. Harley knew what that was like. Spidey didn’t trust him and it annoyed him. He was Iron Boy. He could be as strong as the hero in question.
“Some people only see one side of the story and not the whole. For example, this arrogant guy I work with thinks he is better than everyone, but maybe I don’t know what he is dealing with at home which makes him this way. It could just be that I haven’t shown him what I can do yet so he does know what I can do or maybe he is waiting for me to prove I am just as good as him.”
“You probably are better than him,” Peter told him.
“Nah, this guy is amazing and he does everything for people but he won’t take help from others when he is asked to get help,” Harley said.
“My boss wants me to trust the new guy for a bit to do my job because of something that happened and I feel like he is trying to take part of me away by doing so,” Peter claimed.
“Maybe there is more that is happening. Does your boss know you have three awesome boyfriends and one happens to be a model?” Harley asked.
“No,” Peter said. “I like to keep my home life and my work life separate.”
“Hey, emotional support boyfriends,” Harry said. Peter and Harley looked at him. “We want to join in on the cuddle fest to cheer Pete up.” Johnny nodded. The two smiled as they joined them.
“Do you think we will have it figured out one day?” Harry asked Peter later when they were alone.
“Maybe. I don’t want the others to know cause they don’t know about Spidey but there is a threat to Spidey’s life and Tony wants me to stop being Spidey,” Peter said.
“Would you hate me if I said I agree,” Harry said. Peter looked at him and Harry paused.
“Look I love you and trust you but I don’t want to lose you,” Harry said.
“You won’t lose me,” Peter said. “Can we talk about this more tomorrow? I am kinda tired from today.”
“It’s not Norman?” Harry asked. He hadn’t seen Norman since Peter got him locked up in the raft.
“Not this time. He is still locked away,” Peter said.
“That’s good. I don’t want him to come after Harley and Johnny. They don’t need to know about him,” Harry said.
“Anything for you, Lyman,” Peter said.
“Right back at you, Parker,” Harry said cuddling up in bed to him. Peter held on to him as if it could be the last time in a long time. Harley and Johnny found them asleep later.
~
“I heard a rumor that someone wanted you dead,” Johnny told Spidey. The spider seemed to not care as he made a scoff and said something about he had to protect his city no matter what.
“Just let me know if you need back up,” Johnny said.
“Why?” Spidey asked.
“Look you have a death threat and I’m sure your family wouldn’t want to lose you,” Johnny said.
“I can do this on my own. No one has to protect me,” Spidey told him as they saw something over a few blocks away. Spidey swung into action before Johnny could even get his next words out to try and convince him to go home. Johnny followed behind but when he got there the explosion happened and he became more focused on finding Spider-Man. He didn’t find him besides a burnt mask by ashes.
~
Johnny sat with the avengers as they were talking when Harry ran in. Johnny went to talk to him but Tony seemed to look confused.
“Can I help you?” Tony asked.
“Where is he?” Harry asked.
“Harry, whatever is going on it might have to wait,” Johnny said.
“What is who?” Tony asked.
“Spidey. He is my best friend and I want to know where he is,” Harry said.
“We are hoping to find him but he may be…” Johnny couldn’t finish his statement but he showed him the mask. Harry dropped.
“He promised,” Harry said.
“Look I don’t know how you know Spidey but he might still be out there,” Tony said.
“They wanted him dead and you couldn’t lock him up in a tower,” Harry said.
“I tried,” Tony said.
“Not hard enough. My best friend and the boy who saved me from my father are dead and you want to pretend everything is fine?” Harry said.
“Now let's not jump to…” Tony started but Iron Boy stepped forward.
“This guy is right. Spidey was in the building. His mask was found. You even said his A.I. reported that the suit isn’t reading vitals anymore. Spidey is dead, Mechanic,” Iron Boy said.
“No, my kid isn’t dead!” Tony shouted. Pepper grabbed him.
“It’s time to call his aunt and let her know,” Pepper said calmly. Tony didn’t want to accept it though so Pepper looked at Harry.
“Do you know who Spidey was in the mask?” she asked.
“My… I’ve known him since we were kids. I can let his aunts and others… his roommates know… and his friends from high school,” Harry said still have trouble. Johnny saw how he was looking at Johnny.
“Look Harry, I can go with you,” Johnny said.
“Johnny, Spidey was Peter,” Harry said. Johnny paused as Iron Boy seemed to freeze.
“What did you just say?” Iron Boy asked.
“Spidey’s real name is Peter Parker. He saved me when my birth father tried to kidnap me and turn me into a goblin minion. My mom and Peter’s were friends,” Harry said. Iron Boy let his suit be revealed revealing Harley which Johnny didn’t expect but Tony caught his kid not knowing what was happening. Johnny didn’t know how to feel. His boyfriend was dead. Their boyfriend was dead. They went from four to three.
“That idiot,” Johnny mumbled. “He should have told me. I could have been there if he just listened.”
“We don’t know if he is dead,” Tony said.
“We do,” Pepper said. Tony just didn’t want to admit it and neither did anyone else.
