1 Are you named after anyone? Nope.

2 When was the last time you cried? Couple of weeks ago.

3 Do you have kids? Yes, currently two. One is named Willi, the other Seth. Unless I start counting OCs that are very dear to me.

4 What sports do you play/have you played? I used to play volleyball in school and I like to swim once in a while, if I find the time.

6 What's the first thing you notice about people? The voice and how they move and behave, I'd say.

7 What's your eye colour? Something between blue and green, depending on the light source. But with central heterochromia. Got a lil sun there.

8 Scary movies or happy endings? Happy, but realistic endings.

9 Any talents? I... write and draw. So bit of a talent there. I also can bake and cook, the former better.

10 Where were you born? In Berlin, Germany.

11 What are your hobbies? Writing, drawing, playing videogames... Also poking my cat's belly *does just that*. And socialising with friends (mostly online)

12 Do you have any pets? I do! A cat. His name is Willi. He's a joy. A lot of joy. A lot of him.

13 How tall are you? 6' (184cm)

14 Favourite subject in school? English and arts.

15 Dream job? Hmm... I'd say my current one. If only it was less stressful. That being said, being at home and spending day and night writing, drawing, and playing videogames would be nice as well.

My mum's best friend in high school. She was Norwegian and her name was very unusual at the time and still is rare in the UK.

2-When was the last time you cried?

Tears of joy watching the Fallout tv show!

3-Do you have kids?

Only furkids

4-What sports do you play/have you played?

I dont play any sports. Never played anything competitive beyond what i had to in school. But 'sports' wise I was semi professional trampolinist at one point, practiced archery as well as swam A LOT. inc board diving and snorkeling.

5-Do you use sarcasm?

6-What’s the first thing you notice about people?

The vibe they give off, I can't explain it any other way. Then their eyes and mannerisms.

7-What’s your eye color?

Light sage green.

8-Scary movies or happy endings?

Scary movie with a happy ending......

I write, paint, cosplay, sing, garden. Used to do the above sporty stuff, but since chronic illness nicked that in the bud, I no longer do those things.

in a hospital in Cardiff, South Wales.

As above - writing, painting, cosplay. Also video gaming, makeup artistry, gardening and interior decorating.

Just one cat now, though I did have up to 4 at one point.

Art followed closely by history.

15-Dream job? Acting honestly. I loved the opportunities i had back when i was younger and have appeared in front of the camera a few times. So i'd love to act either on camera acting or voice acting.

What brushes do you use?

i am sorry for the later reply i was out cold. this is not gona be a satesfying reply though. i just use... one square shaped boy.

you can easely make this one in PS by opening a 500x500px file and you either fill it compleatly in with black, or make it a vary slightly wonky square. (don't think it matters but it gives it your own handtouch) once you have you square you go to 'Edit' > 'Define Brush Preset' and you get the square boy in your brushes lybrary. I am sorry I don't know how how to create your own brushes in other drawing softwares.

I usually use the brush size 8px, 10px or 15px. and this boy has never failed me once! i sometimes try to make myself some other brushes to get a quicker workflow. but then i have to readjust the sizing and angles or i don't like how the shape looks and... i just stick to this one brush and call it a day. i do change settings though! Switching on Transfere + Opacity around or below 50% i make fur.

Add scatter effect + colour dynamics: i can like make quck freckles texture or in some cases like sand grain.

(if i lessen the distance between forms and the count on how many get scattered texture also works for stars, water droplets, atmospheric dust)

For details, or jewlery i like to make a seperate layer, adding an effect to it to get a "Contour Lineart".

i know this is barly (if even) a tutorial. so if there are more questions i would love to awser them. though i use photoshp (still). and i am just barly scratching and begining to learn and get comfortable with Clip Studio Paint. I will have to save my square boy and move it there but maybe i finally learn to use more then just one brush for once! and by the next time someone asks me "what brushes i use" i have an easyer time explaining because i just have to point at the CSP brush ones.

Are you named after anyone? Accidentally. Apparently, my mom picked my first name and my aunt suggested the second. They didn’t realize the combination only sounded right to their ears because it’s what the neighbors also named their baby.

When was the last time you cried? It can’t be late last year, but that’s the last time I remember having a good, ugly cry. This was while watching Past Lives for the second time.

Do you have kids? Does my dog count? He’s my pandemic baby.

yes so the two characters in the in two drawing are arthur and zarian, the protagonists of my oc story, steelheart! arthur is a human, while zarian is a (conscious, autonomous) futuristic robot called a DRACO, specifically a v1 model.

i touched on it vaguely in this post, but more specifically the deal with DRACOs is this: they're supposed to be mind-controlled jet-motorcycles (that happen to look like dragons, because why not). they interface with the brain of their pilot via an implant attached to the spinal cord, which also serves as a storage compartment that the DRACO can de-materialize into for transport and charging/refueling (how? idk. sci fi future tech hand waving.) the implants look vaguely like this:

the main takeaway of this is that the DRACOs are 1) permanently connected to their pilot and 2) have like. direct access to the pilot's brain

now these things were not made with the whole 'the robots end up being self-aware and conscious' thing in mind, so being connected to an Awake one is... VERY weird. while DRACOs and pilots can't read each other's thoughts, exactly, they can communicate mentally, either by 'speaking' (like. thinking very clearly and distinctly, kind of) or just pushing abstract thoughts and emotions at each other. they're also very in tune with each other, like vaguely aware of where the other is at all times like you would be a limb, unconsciously mirroring each other, etc. aware DRACOs also 'borrow' senses that they don't have from their pilot (as in feel what the pilot feels), such as taste/smell, or sight and hearing when they're de-materialized.

so... not brainfused in the sense that two beings are now ones, but more like two beings semi-sharing a brain and even a body at times.

arthur and zarian get linked (as in, arthur gets the spinal implant) COMPLETELY by accident and have to contend with all this rather abruptly. as you can imagine, suddenly sharing your brain with a stranger (especially one who you thought was/is trying to kill you, and/or maybe possess you, because giant evil vampire robot) doesn't go over great.

but it works out, and they end up weird clingy besties! they're kind of like an opposites-attract situation where they bring out their own traits in the other. zarian is very snarky and a bit defensive, which brings out arthur's more sarcastic side and encourages him to stand up for himself. arthur, meanwhile, is a bit more emotional and playful, and helps zarian learn how to have fun and connect with others.

they're losers and they're my favorite guys ever. it's great

How long does it take you usually to fulfill requests? They seem fairly detailed 🤔

i'll be completely honest, i don't really know! i mean, it depends on exactly what you mean. sometimes it takes weeks for me to even get to some requests with how my inbox is (the oldest one right now is from the very beginning of december, so sorry if you've been waiting that long!!), but from sketching to the finished piece varys greatly

my estimate is anywhere between 20-30 minutes to a few hours. i think there's only been a few times where it takes me multiple days, and thats usually when i start them right before going to bed

#it also depends on which artstyle i use #because when i use the animal crossing-esque one it takes a lot less time and effort (which is why most of the time when i draw all the lib #i use that one) #the more realistically proportioned one takes longer #this is a really interesting question thank you for asking!! #ive never really thought about how long it takes me. like you'd think i can check the canvas information #but i do all my art on the same canvas #so that's not gonna work #i can tell you that my most recent canvas took 17h #and usually they take somewhere between 15-20h #so there's that #definitely an ask #every so often there will be an ask that i get and i'm immediately like 'that HAS to be drawn' #and in that case i let it skip the queue a little bit so to say #for example. when im sad i pick a random boy jerry request to make myself feel worse (joke) #WAHOO I SHOVED A BOY JERRY MENTION IN HERE MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
