The 1964/1965 New York World’s Fair was the third major world’s fair to be held in New York City. The fair’s theme was “Peace Through Understanding,"  symbolized by a 12-story high, stainless-steel model of the earth called the Unisphere.
Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color on NBC (Season 10, Episode 27) offered a preview of Disney attractions at the New York World's Fair. Walt also explained "Audio-Animatronics," the then-new Disney process that helps bring inanimate objects to life.

Vintage photos pt 1
My grandfather passed away back in October (I'm fine. We werent close. He was kind of a schmuck) instead of a memorial service, my family decided to have pizza at my grandma's house and look at old photos. In my 26 years of life, i have never seen photos my grandparents when they were young.
I've always loved vintage photos. Its like a peek at the history of every-day life. That idea fascinates me. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Here are some cool photos if anyones interested in looking. I did increase the sharpness of the photos to make them less blurry. (Its ok to reblog, idc)

When my grandfather bought this car, my grandma's first thought was, 'Well, we're not gonna be moving into a house this year." That was their original plan. At the time, they were living in a trailer. Beautiful car, though.
