To celebrate the debut of Variations and for over 600 followers on insta, I figured that we should do something special ^^

DTIYS RULES: 1) You can change the composition, pose, and lighting of this piece! You can use either Avery’s dancer’s uniform or the outfit in the reference provided. You can keep the reflection concept, but you can also change it up. As long as Avery’s in the piece!

2) The prospective deadline will be April 20th, 2024! If there needs to be an extension around that time period or if I get busy, I’ll post an update on my story 👍

PRIZES: I don’t have the stamina to be drawing everyone prizes, but I will be posting DTIYS entries on my story and I’ll feature my favorites on Webtoon when pages are posted there! ^^

ANNOUNCEMENT

I’m going to be moving my blog to a new account!

This one will remain up with all of its posts, but it’s url will be changed. The new blog will also go by “allzyfont”, but I’m ultimately going for a fresh start.

I’ll make a notice when the change takes place!

I feel that I have grown and changed a lot since I first made this blog, (with all its current clutter and disorganization.) This ‘restart’ will reflect who I am now as a person and an artist- and best of all, it’ll be for me.

As much as I’ve loved my time on Tumblr, I think that it’s high time for me to turn a new leaf. However, I don’t want to be pushing out things primarily for other people; I do art because that’s what I like to do, and that’s a very personal thing.

Furthermore, I believe that this change will be better for my mental health when it comes to handling social media.

Cheers! ^^/ I’m excited for future art and stories! Have an Avery doodle for now.

I may see you again in the future. For now, though, this blog will remain mostly stagnant.

I have a bad habit of neglecting my blog and I’m determined to at least give it a sliver of the attention it deserves so here are some very early color tests for Variations! I was originally going to do it in full color but I figured I’d save myself some of the pain with limited palettes. However, I did want to use lighting to convey some atmosphere as it’s an aspect of my work I take pride in, and I felt that color was still so important for clarity, as this particular character’s inner life is so dynamic. so really, I saved myself some time, but I didn’t really make things much easier for myself… I have to think hard about color theory when I’m working on pages.

It’s been a while and I’ve grown quite a bit since the last time I’ve been on Tumblr, so here’s a reintroduction :]

Hi, I’m Allzy! I like to tell stories. Comics are generally my medium of choice. I’ll post art on this blog under the tag #allzy art.
