Character Description from Submissions under the cut

Alma Townsend (Original Character, an American Girl Doll) Alma is from 1856 Salt Lake City, her family converted shortly before she was born and moved out to Utah just a few years ago. She’s autistic, with special interests in flowers and embroidery. Alma is the middle child in her family, she has an older brother, who assisted with the rescue efforts for the Martin and Willy handcart companies, twin older sisters, a younger brother, and a baby sister. I’ll admit I haven’t worked out all of her plot details yet, but she’s a very sweet girl who wants to make friends and help people, but sometimes struggles with how exactly to go about doing so. She’s only ten, and unlike the older members of her family she was born into the Church, so her thoughts aren’t too complicated quite yet, but she likes her Church, she likes her community, and doesn’t see why so many people outside the Church seem to hate it so much. One thing she does struggle with however is miracles. If miracles can happen, then why is it Heavenly Father is still allowing bad things to happen as well?

Alphonso Mackenzie aka Agent Mack (Headcanon) Mack is a reserved, down to earth agent of SHIELD. His primary interests are being a mechanic and taking care of his friends. Mack identifies as "a man of faith" but his specific religion is never confirmed. He has a big heart, and a tendency to look after the "lost sheep" at SHIELD. He had a wife and a child named Hope, but after Hope died he and his wife got a divorce. His faith is brought up when he meets Elena, a Catholic Inhuman, who he starts to fall in love with. In one episode, she teases him "you love rules, you were probably a choir boy too," to which he responds "they needed somebody to sing bass." Headcanon: I feel like Mack grew up Mormon, and got married in the temple. But after losing his daughter, the whole concept of eternal families and other church things fell apart for him. Meeting Elena inspires him to start rebuilding his relationship with God on his own terms.

Jack Martin passed away in February 2024 leaving us a legacy of literature. Tracing his Californian ancestry all the way back to the 1830s, Jack Martin developed a passion for American history and the mystery genre. With encouragement and support from his wife, he began writing The Alphonso Clay Mysteries. He is now with his beloved Sonia who passed away on Christmas Eve, 2009. He promised her he would finish the books and become a published author. He did. The Alphonso Clay series includes John Brown’s Body, Battle Cry of Freedom, Marching Through Georgia, The Battle Hymn of the Republic, and Hail, Columbia! Martin is also the author of the Harry Bierce Mysteries. He will be greatly missed by all but mostly by his son Justin and daughter-in-law Caitlin.

Bones Society.

Throughout history, some of the most prominent American figures have been Bonesmen, handpicked members of Yale's undergraduate class selected to join the ranks of elite students.

In addition to the Bush's - both H.W. and W. followed in Prescott's footsteps during their time at the university - members have included hundreds of government officials, such as former Secretary of State John Kerry, as well as members of the entertainment industry, such as actor Paul Giamatti. William Huntington-Russel and Alphonso Taft took it upon themselves to create the society, and along with 12 other members, formed the inaugural class. Since 1832, every spring the society chooses fifteen new members from the junior class, including women in the process only since the early '90s.

Among those considered are leaders on campus, and notable names the society believes it could benefit from in the future. Like all societies at the university (of which there are seven), the Skull and Bones society have a headquarters. Known colloquially as the Tomb, the Skull and Bones Hall is a gothic, windowless building on High Street, just off campus, where the members can gather for meetings and events. 'It brought chills': Haligonians watch Canada take on Belgium in World Cup

While Canada's 1-0 World Cup loss to Belgium was not the result fans hoped for, many remain firmly in Canada’s corner.

“I think we put up a good showing. We stayed in it early, and if we had of gotten that penalty, it would have been a different game,” said James MacDonald after watching the match in Halifax.

Canadian Alphonso Davies’ penalty kick was blocked by the Belgian keeper in the 11th minute.

“If we had [gotten the goal] I think we would have at least drawn if not won,” said MacDonald.

Regardless of the outcome, many watching in Halifax said the match was a surreal sports moment.

“I’ve been waiting for this moment for 36 years,” said Aaron Horton. “All Canadians are into hockey, not so many into soccer, for all of us to come together and watch this first match, it's fantastic.”

Long-time soccer coach Costa Elles says he still has haunting memories of 1986 -- Canada’s last appearance in the World Cup.

“The last time, we just visited. We were tourists,” said Elles.

“These guys are well organized. It is a good machine with some talent,” Elles said of the Canadian squad.

He says he is cautiously optimistic Canada will be competitive in Qatar.

“It shows that if you are [a] good team, you can beat the individual powers,” said Costa.

Derek Martin, the president of the Halifax Wanderers, organized a watch party at a Halifax bar and says the passion of the soccer fans in attendance surpasses anything he has ever seen.

“I don’t know what it is about the sport. I don’t know if it's a nationalism that comes with the World Cup, and the Euros, but there is something that is visceral about how fans respond,” said Martin.

It was the first time in Brendon Lelievre’s life that he got to watch Canada compete for soccer’s biggest title.

“It brought chills to my skin hearing the national anthem at the world cup stage for the first time,” said Lelievre.

He says seeing the quality of Canada’s play on the pitch is a “dream come true” for a soccer fan.

Canada’s next game is set for Sunday against Croatia.

Count Munio Gonzalez of Olmedo of the house Alvarez (Alfonso's former courtier whom Alfonso have made his vassal by gifting him the county Olmedo), have arrived in Alfonso's royal court of Leon to pay homage. I suspect that part of the reason for the scraping also had to do with the fact that Alfonso made Count Munio's son Martin, Alfonso's ward.

Finally, the day had arrived for King Garcia to die. And Alphonso's agents did the deed the same way they handled King Sancho's death, via flaming arrows shot at his boat. And thus, Alfonso inherited the Kingdom of Galicia.

And with that inheritance, Alfonso also inherited the troubled relationship with a powerful vassal, Duke Nuno II Mendez of Portucale.

The next murder scheme that Alfonso has set his sights on is to get rid of his cousin and brother-in-law Infante Fernando Gartziez of Navarra who is married to Alfonso's sister and current heir, Infanta Elvira Fernandez of Castille. You would think the job would be a piece of cake, given that Infante Fernando is a lisping, stuttering ill person, but the plot power is only 39% with a 59% secrecy protection. I decided to set the plan in motion anyway, as you never know when the plot power would change.

send me a pairing and I’ll tell you the headcanons I have for them

there’s one point where Maze like tries to be romantic in a human way because she thinks that’s what Linda wants (the point is she wants to try for Linda) but it stops after she nearly burns down the kitchen in annoyance and Linda won’t stop laughing and assuring her she’s happy with Maze just as she is

Maze brings back trinkets from her bounty hunts, they’re usually inappropriate, like some guys tooth she knocked out once, and Linda just sighs and kisses her for coming back in one piece at least

Linda has a hard time finding a gift for Maze, she talks to Lucifer, Amenadiel, and Chloe about it at one point and really, what do you get a demon who’s lived thousands of years and who’s main job was torture? Lucifer insists Maze will just be okay with sex, Chloe ponders over this for a while and awkwardly tries to get out of the conversation, Amendiel ‘ums’ a lot and makes up something about divine intervention and needing to go. It’s Trixe who helps her out in the end and knows exactly all the candy that Maze likes because she does have a sweet tooth. Maze tastes like sugar when she kisses her that night but Linda doesn’t mind.

there’s some days where Linda just has enough of the supernatural and can’t deal with it and Maze hates those days because she feels guilt then for them dragging Linda into the mess but when it’s all said and done Linda says she wouldn’t change anything because it brought their paths together

Maze still threatens anyone who even remotely acts rude to Linda, she’s ready to go after them at the moments notice

“Maze stop telling Chloe about our sex life. Please.”

Ella asks if she can be a bridesmaid at the wedding to both of them. They both don’t know how to answer that and exchange a panicky glance.

Maze knows this isn’t forever, humans die, but she still wants this regardless. After all Linda has a great ass, or so she’s always bragging about.
