I don't know if my inbox just straight up ate this ask, or if I accidentally deleted it, but luckily I'm smart and save all the questions in a word document when I answer them, so hah! I still got it.
If you want more in-depth descriptions of the different races, then please send individual asks for them.
evethepoptwist asked:
What do season fairies work for like what do they harvesting for, what do they make for their own little inventions and crafts, or how do they take care of animals by their own ways, depending on each seasons other than singing, dancing, laughter, etc. And can you tell us more about trolls, flower people, and mushroom people, and what do they do for the living? Since we barely know these guys other than talking so much about season fairies and the big folks
It is important to remember that the fairies mostly just create and work for the fun of it. Once they’ve made anything they require to survive for the seasons they do not belong to, then they’re free to just craft and create things that they love. They will harvest whatever food they can find within their respective season, and oftentimes trade with each other should they desire anything that belongs to the other seasons.
The animals care for themselves, but some fairies will take extra care in aiding them through life to ensure their survival, though it all depends on how much they love said animal. Most of the time, they will simply flutter around them and bring them as much luck as possible. Fairies possess an extra amount of luck compared to other beings, after all!
The trolls are night-dwelling creatures that hide in caves, holes, and makeshift homes that they create out of fallen trees, moss, sticks, and mud. Sunlight will turn them to stone, which is a painful process that cannot be undone. They prefer deer, moose, and rabbits as food, but have acquired a taste for humans, too. Fairies are mostly seen as tasty sweets to them. They have been known to create clothes and weapons, and they can speak to each other, though this is through grunts and growls. Most of the time, they fight amongst themselves and prefer solitude to companionship.
The flower people were born from the magic of the Luna tree on the Isle of Luna, and from said tree, they are granted immortality. They rarely leave the island, as what often happens to those that do so, is that they fall in love and will inevitably be cursed with heartache for eternity. They are the same size as fairies, and legend has it that they’re all blessed with the ability to communicate and manipulate the nature around them. No one fully knows what they do on the island, as no one has been able to cross the mist surrounding it.
The mushroom people are essentially just mushrooms with stumpy legs and arms that wander the forest floors. They will squeak, though no one yet knows if this is a form of communication or not. Sometimes, they may sit for hours and days without doing anything. They are popular pets among the fairies, especially the spring and autumn fairies.
There are also:
The Stonemen will appear as boulders, rubble, and mountains when asleep. The sleeping sisters are believed to be Stonemen who fell into a deep slumber many hundred years ago, and some think they will cause havoc once they awake again. This theory hasn’t yet been confirmed. Stonemen in general are peaceful and stationary, though when awake, they have been observed to find pleasure in watching fairies play together.
The small people/monsters look just like the big folk, only the size of fairies. They live in holed out trees and tiny houses on the forest floor. There are not that many of them on Fairy Island, as they’re not native there. They’ll live simple lives, preparing for winter, sewing clothes, creating fun projects they can play with, and sometimes even trading with fairies.
Gnomes are odd winter creatures that have their eyes hidden by pointy hats in the colour of either, red, blue, or green. They live in holes in the ground, though said homes look very cozy, often with a fireplace, a place for a kitchen, a big bed for the whole family, and such. They only come out once the snow lays thickly on the ground, and then they’ll collect sticks, frozen berries, and other trinkets they can find on the ground. Very little is known about them, though they’ll sometimes trade with the winter fairies.
Monster fairies can often be found close to Big Folk villages, and sometimes even in them. They like to settle within their attics for warmth, though there are still those who prefer to live in the forest away from them. Most can be found in Willoway Forest, though there are those who live in the Singing and Kval hills. They often steal food and clothes from the Big Folk. These fairies are the ones that look like variants of Papyrus, Toriel, Asgore, Temmie, esc…
Human fairies/Fae are in small numbers and can only be found within Ink’s domain, as he is the father of their race. They have blacked-out eyes and silvery blue wings, and they should never, under any circumstance, be trusted to make a deal with. Luckily, it’s difficult and extremely rare to ever meet with any of them.

Inukpasuksuk [Inuit mythology]
Giants play a significant role in Inuit mythology. Although they are usually evil creatures, beings to be feared by humans, there are also some giants who were benevolent and kind towards humans.
The most well known among them is Inukpasuksuk, also called Inukpak. Simply called “Giant” in Inuktitut, he was so large that he would step into the ocean, wading into the water, and catch whales as if they were normal fish. He could hold smaller species of whales in the palm of his hand. It is said that Inukpasuksuk could cross mountains and the greatest rivers by simply stepping over them.
Throughout his travels, he once encountered a human man. As time went on, the giant came to like and respect this tiny little creature and he eventually chose to adopt him as if he were his own son. The two went on many adventures and as such, they play a significant role in Inuit folktales.
One time, when the two were traveling the cold plains, Inukpasuksuk and his human son were very hungry, for they had not eaten in a long time. As luck would have it, they came upon another giant, one who was even larger than Inukpasuksuk. The creature had a lot of food with him. Inukpasuksuk asked his fellow giant if he could have some of the food, and also a little bit for his human companion, for they were starving and if they didn’t find animals to hunt soon, they would surely die.
But the larger giant was selfish and did not want to share. This was his food, why should he have to share it with others? Inukpasuksuk should leave and find his own game to hunt. At this, Inukpasuksuk got angry and soon the two giants came to blows. But the other giant was larger and stronger, and it quickly became clear that if nobody interfered, Inukpasuksuk would lose. Suddenly, the larger giant fell over, as if he lost his balance, and Inukpasuksuk won the fight. While the two giants were brawling, his adopted human snuck behind the larger giant and cut the tendons on one of his legs, causing him to fall over.

Spice up your coin loot with these descriptions
the following is a list of coin descriptions that you can use when generating treasure loot in your classic fantasy game, from DnD to Pathfinder to whatever you use. Use these to make ordinary coin loot feel even more fantastic:
Ghoul Copper - Lost remains of poor commoners, icons appear as an aging man which only reminds some who see it of fleeting mortality
Wight Copper - Lost remains of poor commoners, feels somewhat cursed
Hydra Copper - Mixture of commoner remains and ore veins, the texture gives a slight burning sensation.
Lycanthrope Silver - From the remains of those who tried and failed to slay these beasts of the woodlands, the sounds of frustrations of the rich ironies surrounding these coins are said to be heard by those who touch them
Ogre Silver - Mixture of merchant remains and ore veins, the bite marks imply these coins were also used to pick the giant's teeth
Gargoyle Silver - Mixture of guarded treasure and the remains of greedy thieves
Gnome Silver - Freshly Minted from local ore veins, not much use to gnomes on a regular basis but are kept in the rare cases that they trade with other folks
Orc Gold - Raided loot carried across the land in war wagons, often traded with fellow monsters of the mountains and barren wastes
Hobgoblin Gold - Coins forged from raw ores and stolen goods, used in trade with fellow monsters, or at least with monsters of lower status or intelligence
Gnoll Gold - Once used in trade among fellow monsters, now gathering filth and rust under the guard of madness riddled descendants of a long fallen culture
Troll Gold - Mixture of victim remains and ore veins, the touch of chaos on these coins grant them a strange fractal pattern, as though the metal was regenerating from its cuts
Cockatrice Gold - Mixture of victim remains and ore veins, the draconic influences on these coins tarnish their shine, as though it was returning to the form of an impure stone
Manticore Gold - Mixture of victim remains and ore veins, seems to have more luster than most coins, making them more attractive to trade with or use as bait

Okay
So like
I know it doesn't fit with your design because from what I can tell Grian is probably a fairy or something similar in the fae category (there so many things that count as far man, gnomes, trolls, kelpies, selkies, among so so so many other things- well- I know for at least Celtic origins, you might be basing things off another belief system that has fae in it but that's just too much rambling and not focused on what I wanna say-) that naturally/biologically has wings
But also
But also but also but also
I had a very random thought burst into my brain because of your fae Grian
About Grian being a pixie (type of fae), which are very mischievous and love to pull pranks and tricks on people- but they don't have wings
And in my head I was omg could you imagine if Grian was a pixie who made himself an artificial pair of wings to look more like a fairy/other type of fae so people trust him more/won't immediately want to try and keep him away with iron (iron burns fae) (also like because of how dangerous and how fair pixies go with their "pranks" they're considered very very dangerous and should not be trifled with- plus mostly they're considered apathetic, and considered to have little to no empathy- and I feel like Grian would have empathy, and we all know he doesn't ever wanna like, he probably wouldn't want to scar his friends for like or entrap them in a deal that would force them to do his bidding for eternity- so like- that's why I'm like- he'd make himself some wings cause not only is flying really effing cool, but also it's probably really lonely to be a pixie he doesn't wanna go too fair, some pixies would probably consider him a buzz kill, and others probably wouldn't trust him- so what does he do? Become a fairy)
Okay I'm sorry for ranting in your inbox I'll leave now sorry if this is like stupid or if any of it is bad or makes you uncomfortable or anything
I'm soooorryyyyyy
-🪷
YO WHAT DONT APOLOGIZE
This is so so cool!!!
also i love the slight grian angst,,,
