Tell me about your fnaf s/i!! Do they work at the Pizzaplex? How did you meet the Daycare Attendant? Is your relationship with Sun and Moon very different?

:0 OOOH YEAH OF COURSE!!!

Originally, they were just a janitor, but the DCA liked them so much, they got promoted to Daycare manager.

They're the DCA's right hand, essentially. They help take care of all the paperwork. i.e. Registered/banned kids, materials, finances, that sort of thing. They also run maintenance on the DCA, making sure he's in top shape to properly run the daycare.

They met on their first day of work. S/I was helping clean up after a birthday party, and they immediately hit it off with Sun. Every day after, S/I made time to go and visit Sun. The two of them liked making up games to play while they cleaned, cutting up and horsing around. Sun immediately began to develop feelings for them, always anxiously anticipating their visits and drawing little crayon doodles of the two of them absentmindedly.

S/I didn't meet Moon until about a week later, when the power went out during a bad storm. As they went about their business in the Plex, trying to work with nothing but their flashlight, Moon began stalking them. Obviously, S/I was terrified. They had no clue who, or what, could have been watching them from the shadows. They had never really had any reason to fear anything in the Plex, but they just couldn't shake that looming sense of dread. Moon absolutely delighted in scaring the ever loving shit out of them.

Eventually, Moon finally reveals himself, appearing behind S/I in a bathroom mirror. Unfortunately, he scares them so badly, they slip and hit their head on the sink, knocking themselves unconscious. Moon, feeling guilty, carries them back to the daycare and nurses their wound. He had never meant for them to get hurt! Just to maybe make them piss their pants a little. As S/I awakes, they freak out and try to scramble away. Moon stops them though, apologizing and gently explaining what happened. He introduces himself as S/I begins to calm down, holding their head in their hands.

He comforts them, lighting some candles and making a little fort of pillows and blankets for them, encouraging them to rest. S/I, while frustrated at Moon for scaring them so badly, lets him care for them, until the power finally returns and Sun switches over. Needless to say, he's mortified at Moon's actions and doesn't stop apologizing for weeks after.

Their relationships, while different in dynamics, are the same in amount of affection and possessiveness.

Sun is a bit more emotionally dependent on S/I. Occasionally, on bad days, refusing to work unless S/I is there with him. They love drawing and roleplaying together, coming up with little stories to act out for the kids. Whenever S/I gets overwhelmed or upset, Sun is right there by their side with everything they could possibly need. Water, medicine, hugs, jokes, anything to make them feel better. He's more than happy to take over their duties for a bit while they recuperate and pull themselves together.

Moon, on the other hand, is more physically dependent on them. Unable to go even a minute without touching them in some way. He's very handsy, and often getting into little wrestling matches with them that, if after hours, may turn a bit spicy. If Moon is out, he is never far behind S/I, following them at their heels like a mischievous puppy. They also enjoy pulling little pranks on the other animatronics. If S/I is ever feeling down or overwhelmed, you bet your ass Moon is picking them up and cradling them in his arms, rocking them gently and whispering little reassurances to them.

S/I is very caring towards them both, treating them both as equals. They do their best to make sure one isn't feeling inadequate compared to the other. They're always sincere about their feelings, kind and compassionate and always trying to smile. The reason the DCA loves them so much is because they treat them as if they were a "real" person, not just an animatronic. Of course, they treat all the other animatronics in the same way, however, their relationship with the DCA is much more special. And it's very clear to the other animatronics and employees that they're completely inseparable.

I've been pretty curious about the LO Critical side. I'm asking genuinely but what are the reasons why LO has such a strong anti Fandom.

Do people not like it? I was curious because it seems like a lot of lo critical/anti lo blogs seem to enjoy certain aspects and characters. Is it the author people don't enjoy?

Like I said I'm really being genuine. I think people have the right to have like their own critical space for a free webcomic. It's just interesting because it's like. This Fandom has a second Fandom of people who seem to hate the comic.

The anti community for any fandom is sure to be a complex place that’s usually, in my experience, more built on pain and disappointment than anything else. Pain because something important to you no longer provides comfort, maybe even perpetrates harmful themes for your own personal experiences, and disappointment because this is something you used to love and you wish could be better.

There’s two parts of the anti community for LO. There’s one part that, as you said, still holds some affection for the series, for memories attached to it and for some characters. There’s also another part that, again as you said, straight up just hate it.

I’ll briefly touch on the first part. They can see so clearly how LO could be infinitely better and that’s frustrating. They can see all the flaws they didn’t notice or didn’t want to see before and are exasperated by why it’s allowed to continue this way. Let’s not forget that a significant number of LO’s critics are people who were young teens and read it in their formative years without realising what they were being so carelessly exposed to.

With that realisation, there’s a level of anger and horror at learning what was put in front of them, marketed as safe and heavily promoted at every turn, and it’s only gotten worse over time. That must be an absolutely gut-wrenching thing to feel over something you loved once.

So in that sense, you’re correct; a big part of the anger comes down to Rachel herself and her choices.

Then there’s the other part of the anti fandom, the part that just out and out hates it and always has. This is where yours truly fits in.

Now, I was super active on tumblr during 2014-2017, when fandoms like Steven Universe, FNAF and Undertale were at their peak. I had to learn, trial by fire, how to be real critical of any media I consumed. There is certainly a downside to this, I tend to see the negatives of anything I enjoy first and then find positives later. The upside is it’s certainly been one helluva way to improve my media literacy and spot the bs from a mile away.

A lot of people don’t believe when I say I got skeevy, uncomfortable, gross vibes from LO from chapter one, but I did. I don’t know what it was, but it set me off so bad that I couldn’t get past “her butt is shaped like a heart” and never read it again.

Now I’m willing to admit that this part of the fandom, like me, are the way we are because we were never the target demographic for LO.

Therefore, when it came out and got popular, we were the ones who were absolutely baffled and the ones who got dog piled and called every name under the sun by fans for a long time…that is, of course, until a lot of those fans grew up, realised what they were reading and turned on the series.

As I said, the critical side of any fandom is complicated and this is just my two cents.

I could do a much longer post about how fucking angry I am at Rachel personally for the fact she’s from my country, a country who constantly gets ignored, and given this amazing chance that so many of us wish we could have, yet chose to peddle her self insert x celebrity crush jailbait fantasy.

I could talk all day about how physically sickened I am that she’s taken so many aspects of trauma experiences by myself and millions of others and used it as ignorant, glamourised, fetishised shock-material.

I could go on at length about what a racist, misogynistic, homophobic piece of baggage she is and how she’s permanently done damage to another culture while completely misrepresenting ours…but I won’t.

I’ll just draw more mean art of Persephone’s giant lips and Hades accidentally letting the air out of them with his mosquito nose instead.

What’s Rachel going to do? Draw a goofy, technicolor caricature of me in her comic that’ll blend into the background, be only half finished and look like a recoloured Persephone in her otherwise pristine and totally professional looking masterpiece that’s definitely not losing readers? Oh wait—

I have to get something off my chest. I really didn't like Secruity Breach Ruin. I felt as though it was incredibly boring and anti climactic. Most of the time, Cassie was just wandering around and doing tasks. The other animatronics weren't ever really a threat and so easy to surpass because they were damaged and slow and easily distracted. Plus, Roxy wasn't even a threat to us as she recognized us . And, the Sun/Moon arc was repetitive as we did that whole jungle gym hide and seek chase in the first SB. The virus never really did that much harm to us and sort of just was an inconvenience.

I do not care for this new character "Cassie" and her relationship with Roxy will never surpass Gregory and Glamrock Freddy's (I mention this because I have seen so many people say something along the lines of that). With Freddy and Gregory, we got to see their relationship build, and it was so much like a found family. Glamrock Freddy saved us multiple times, comforted us, and kept us safe in his stomach hatch. He was just extremely helpful, and an important character is my point. I'm getting tired of people saying Gregory is a heartless brat. He did care for Glamrock Freddy. Why else would he cry when Freddy was dismantled? Why else would it be such a hard choice on whether to leave Glamrock Freddy and never come back to mega pizzaplace or stay with him and explore more? It would make sense for Gregory to be untrustworthy of an animtronic such as Freddy as the rest are trying to kill him. We saw two interactions with Roxy and Cassie, and suddenly, they were the new "Freddy and Gregory." I think not.

The game also left us with so many more questions and a cliffhanger for another game that I honestly couldn't care less for. I mean, how does Cassie know Gregory? Why is the mega pizzaplex in ruins? Who is the mimic? Why does the mimic want Cassie, etc. This is more of a personal one since I hate not knowing what is going on and what this means and just every little bit of a game plot or story. I hate being left confused.

Another complaint I have is, well, it feels nothing like a Fnaf. William isn't even the villain anymore. Is he even going to come back to the franchise at all? We barely got to see Glamrock Freddy in ruin, and I point this out because every single Freddy is the face of the franchise. You can't have a Five Nights At Freddy's game without some sort of Freddy. Michael afton isn't even a playable character anymore since he's dead. Every important character (The puppet, Michael, William, Henry, the ogs really) is dead.

I apologize if some of the arguments are sort of confusing and this is very long. I just needed to get it off my chest.
