Heaven's Demons, Chapter 36
Word Count: 1.5k
Warnings: tension, slight angst
“Oh my god, Lee!” she gasped, clinging to her boyfriend as her elder brother was taken away. Lauren’s heart ached at the sight of him being led away in cuffs, but it soared at the prospect of herself being free.
“I got you, sweetheart,” he cooed, kissing her temple, “I promised you, I’d find a way, baby…I just didn’t think it would be this.”
“H-how did you find out about the room?”
Lee looked to the door where their son stood with his cousin, tears in his eyes. And in that moment, she knew that he must have said something. She’d once been locked in the room, and her son had to deal with him for a week, until she ‘learned her lesson’.
Being separated from her son was the worst week of her life up until she’d been locked away with the threat of being charged with the murder of her fiancé.
“Oh, baby…”
He rushed down the stairs, and Lauren let go of Lee long enough to catch their son rushing into her arms. But as she did, Ari’s eyes met with Lees, “what now, brother?”
“Well, I recon you probably called Rogers after Barber got you locked up,” he replied. Ari nodded, and Lee swallowed hard, already accepting that they were about to be in some deep shit with the club’s president, “well…Rogers is reasonable. He’s bat shit crazy, but he’ll see that what Barber was doing was leading us into the ground. He kept a lot to himself. A lot that could bury the charter…my guess is he’ll want to swallow it whole…”
“Why do you think that?”
Lee nodded out towards the door, where through the glass front and across the street he could see none other than Steve Rogers himself standing without his colors, smoking a cigarette.
“Shit.”
“Yeah,” Lee agreed. He hadn’t expected Rogers to arrive so quickly, but he couldn’t say that he was entirely surprised. He looked down to Lauren, “baby…take him upstairs…we’re gonna have club company in a few…”
“Lee-“
“You don’t want to see Cap, sweetheart, trust me,” Lee reminded her. She looked to the window and her eyes widened, before she came to realize that it was Steve Rogers across the street. She was quick to get off her knees and kiss Lee, before picking her son up and hauling them both upstairs. He turned to Levi, “grab a few beers…this is gonna be a long conversation, Levs…”
Steve Rogers sat, his cigarette ashing along the expensive countertop as he heard the last of the story from Ari and Lee. They waited with their breath held as he mulled it over. Across the street they could see some more of the guys in a truck, as though they were waiting for a cue from their president. It made them nervous the longer they sat. But it didn’t take long for him to nod, accepting it, “matches up with what Sweetie and Gearz told me.”
They paled.
Only recently had Barber and Butcher told them about what’s been going on with Gearz. But to hear that Sweetie and him were safe was a surprise. They had both figured that Barber offed them like he did Fonzie’s old lady and just had opted not to tell anyone.
“Sweetie’s alive?”
“She’s smarter than you two give her credit for,” he grunted, unappreciative over how they just seemed to glaze over the younger woman, “she ran when she sensed danger, just like I taught her to. Came straight to me…like the two of you should have done.”
“We didn’t know Barber went off the deep end, Cap.”
“W-we didn’t want to alert you if it was nothing.”
Steve’s jaw twitched, “I promised her that I wouldn’t do what Barber did…so you know that. Told her that I’d give you guys the same chances as Gearz had…I’m a fair man, and I live honest as I can…”
“Wh-what are you talking about?” Lee asked.
“Long story short, her and I have history…and I owed her a favor. She cashed in,” he shrugged, “she feels some type of way about the lot of you…and she had me promise to offer it. Now, I’m only going to offer it once, so make sure it’s what you want…because it’s gonna be the only time I let any of you walk away.”
Lee’s heart leapt at the words, “walk away? Y-you’re just going to let us walk away?”
“Gearz ain’t coming back. I already heard it straight from his lips,” he said definitively, “I’m going to smooth things over with Junkyard dogs after this little meeting, but you guys need to hold church. Whoever wants out can walk away tonight…no strings attached. But if you’re out, you’re out. There ain’t gonna be no coming back. If you stay, you’re coming back to the North Coast Charter. Gonna ride back up with me and the guys. Gonna be home for ya from now on.”
“W-we’re going to be able to walk away?” Ari asked curiously, the thought sparking something in his own mind.
“Without recourse,” Steve agreed, “but if you ain’t, we’re closing up shop in this town and burning the charter by the end of the week.”
Ari and Lee looked at each other once more, both confused and intrigued, “how are you going to smooth things over with the junkyard dogs?”
“What’s she got on you, Cap?”
“None of your damn business,” he growled, standing up from his bar stool. He put the cigarette out on the countertop and spat on the ground, “call in your boys and have church. I’ll be back in the morning.”
“Well, well well…what do we have here?” the president of the junkyard dogs teased. Steve smiled as he crossed his arms over his muscular chest and examined the man that he had grown to respect, “to what do I owe the pleasure, Rogers? I mean, you can’t be here for my VP, can ya? I know your pops beat that out of you when you were still flexible enough.”
“I have something that belongs to you,” Steve said smugly. He whistled and a few of his guys came from the van, each man holding one of Cherry’s arms as she fought blindly against them. Steve noticed the older man’s eyes tearing up as they led his blindfolded, bound daughter to him, “heard from a little birdie that you lost something sweet, old man. A Cherry.”
“Jesus Christ, Levinson said that she ran off with-“
“She did run off,” Steve said shortly, “Barber went off the deep end and my kids’ mother was lookin out for her, like a good old lady does. Pulled her out before things got too dark. The charter’s gonna be dismantled by the end of the week, but I figured I’d drop off a parting gift.”
The president seemed surprised, “got yourself an old lady there, Cap?”
“Hardly,” Steve shrugged, “Just a good woman who’s got her ear to the ground. I know what it’s like to want to know your kid’s safe. Got two of my own with her…but we keep it quiet so no one comes after em…two boys that are little hell-raisers.”
“Come on in,” he nodded, urging Steve and his men forwards. Steve clapped the older man on the shoulder, allowing his own men to go first. He stopped them and wrapped his arms around his daughter. She stopped struggling once he pulled the blindfold off, “you’re safe, kid…”
“D-dad?” she asked, fat tears rolling down her cheeks. The man nodded and she leaned against him, over any indiscretion or disagreement they’d ever had. When Steve Rogers had taken her, she thought that was it. She thought that she was going to die. But to end up back in her father’s arms, she felt relieved, “i-is this real? A-Am I really home?”
He nodded, tears in his eyes as he told Steve’s men to untie her, whilst he pulled the gag from her mouth. Meanwhile, Bucky, who had been happily sitting at the bar with Alice on his lap as he drank, stopped at the sight of Steve pushing into the clubhouse.
It felt like his heart was beating so loud, he could hear the blood pulsating in his ears, “Shit…”
Bucky sat there, half admiring his former lover and how he’d changed in the years since he last saw him, and half feeling upset that he’d had the gall to show up.
“Who’s that, baby?” Alice cooed, pushing some of Bucky’s hair from his face.
“No one, doll,” he muttered, locking his arms around her waist even further. He leaned towards the bar and glared at the sweet butt who was behind it, “ANOTHER BOTTLE!”
“Buc-“
“Don’t,” he growled, cutting her off as she continued to stare at Steve, “don’t go digging down that hole, Alice.”
She shrank against him, thrown off by the attitude change. But Steve only smirked at his former lover, sending a shiver down his spine. He’d be lying if he said that he wasn’t still attracted to him. His dark hair and mysterious demeanor had always drawn him, like a moth to a flame, and he wanted to feel his lover once more before he left.
“Looks like you guys are havin a party, there, Doc...”
The president smiled, “we are now. You want to join in, Rogers?”

Our Obey Me! MC, Aries! He’s a genderqueer trans boy who is pansexual and polyamorous. We write him in various combinations of dating the boys(TM) but in his “true” canon (based on the fictive we have of him in our system lol) he’s in two triad relationships with Lucifer+Diavolo and Solomon+Asmodeus.
He is shy when meeting new people, but once he’s comfortable with someone he comes out of his shell. He loves teasing his demon pactmates and causing mischief, and is generally known as a sarcastic ball of sunshine. He loves animals and spent a lot of time with them since he lived on a farm as a kid, so he bonded early on with Lucifer and Levi about their pets. (He affectionately calls Cerberus “Puppy”, and with the help of his powerful latent magic and many treats he built a strong rapport with the canine.)
Asmodeus helped him get into fetish modeling, through which he also took up photography as a hobby. When he became Solomon’s apprentice he vowed to spend his free time practicing potions on crafting things “Asmo would approve of”, too.

Aries grew up in a very religious household and spent a lot of his childhood in church. His family pushed him into dating the son of a family friend who was abusive and possessive, and when he came out as trans at 17 he lost his partner and was later kicked out. A former teacher of his helped him get on his feet for a bit while he got his GED, but even as an adult he felt alienated and alone.
He was planning to commit suicide when a coincidence interrupted his plan, and the next day he woke to find himself in the Devildom as the chosen exchange student. Since then his life turned around for the better, and he made a family for himself with the demons.

Childhood:
Oldest daughter of two, Wendy was born to Margaret and Joseph Conwell and was their only daughter and child until she was seven and was given a baby brother named Jeremy. Her mother was a nurse, and her father owned a business that unfortunately had run into some serious legal trouble that took a hard toll on him.
As a result, Wendy’s home life would soon become a rocky one. At the age of twelve, her mother Margaret was working constantly at the hospital while her father Joseph was always away and lost money to gambling and feeding into his alcohol addiction as he claimed he was trying to get money to bring his old business back to life.
In school Wendy had no trouble making friends, but it soon proved difficult to keep them since she was more worried about looking after her baby brother most of the time due to both her parent’s absence at home. She never blamed her mother for it since her work brought food to the table, but she steadily blamed her father for sure since he always came home a drunk with empty pockets
Eventually her father’s temper snapped when he realized Margaret had plans to take the kids and had stashed money away from him to do so. This led to a horrible fight where Wendy was awoken from sleep to the sound of her mother screaming and rushing to find that Joseph had shoved her into her bedside table and had drawn blood. Wendy retaliated in anger and fear by hitting him with an empty beer bottle and her mother managed to chase him out with a bat and call the police.
Margaret was able to safely move Wendy and Jeremy out and filed for divorce that week. They cut ties with Joseph completely despite him reaching out once to borrow money.
Adolescence:
Wendy still had trouble dealing with what she had seen and done and in high school, started drinking to forget and calm herself down. She had a bad friend that would help her get the drinks and eventually Margaret found out about her daughter’s habit and confronted her about it.
This led into a rather nasty fight between them, concluding with Wendy sobbing in the kitchen apologizing and begging her mom for help out of fear that she might end up like her father. Margaret, without hesitation, held her daughter close and vowed to do what it took.
Wendy received the help she needed, along with therapy for her trauma and cut ties with the friend. She graduated high school with a plan to become a nurse like her mother.
Margaret fell in love with a man named Travis McCoy and soon enough the new couple was dating. Jeremy liked him and got along with him, and he seemed decent enough, but Wendy didn’t trust him out of fear that their family history would repeat. However, after a group trip to Australia one summer, Travis and Wendy had a heart to heart, and she saw in him what Joseph should have been and accepted him.
After some time with the family, Travis asked her if it would be alright if he married her mom. Wendy, to her own surprise and delight, said it was.
Adulthood:
Wendy worked in a renowned Hospital when she met the first love of her life; Laverne Bree. It had started out as a friendship, since Bree had just moved into the same building and was working as a cop. But in the time spent together, Wendy found out that she felt a certain way about her friend and soon discovered her own bisexuality. When she felt secure to tell Laverne the truth, she was surprised to hear that Laverne had felt the same as she was already a closeted lesbian.
They took their relationship steadily and slow, and soon found confidence and started dating. Wendy brought Laverne around often to see her family and they adored her. Laverne doesn’t speak to her family and would always be ecstatic to join Wendy on holiday trips to see hers. Wendy eventually asked Laverne to marry her after years of dating.
Wendy and Laverne were about one year into planning their wedding when Wendy heard at work about a sudden mysterious outbreak of multiple people being bitten and behaving in strange and monstrous ways. An attack on a staff member at her hospital caused her to witness exactly what was happening for herself and her concerns grew about what would happen to her family.
The news steadily became more alarming as it was already estimated that vampires had humans outnumbered and that there was a need of what to do with these citizens as they still held onto themselves after being turned and were still considered people. While trying to stay busy after her hospital was shut down, Wendy decided to join the military in an effort to help make sense of what to do to help those in need. The program she entered into taught her all the tactical skills she would later use, and she was put into a squadron with a man named Gavin Smith who would soon become a good friend of hers. She met Parker, Levi, and Guadalupe there as well.
Gavin, Wendy and the rest of their troop spent their deployment setting up shelters and aid facilities as the world leaders came together to discuss what to do about the dwindling numbers of humans and the steadily rising of vampires. Wendy, while in constant contact with her loved ones, found out from her mother in a frightened voice that the area in which her father Joseph was still kept in prison was attacked and raided by a group of vampires and that Joseph’s body wasn’t anywhere among the dead accounted for. Wendy became fearful and told her mother to contact Laverne for help.
Wendy and her squadron were able to return home early and with things getting much worse on the news, she anxiously returned home that night as fast as she could but was too late and found her mother and stepfather slaughtered and drained of their blood in their own beds. Jeremy was nowhere to be found in the house as he had just been visiting with his girlfriend Trudy and there were more signs of an attack leading towards the kitchen. There, Wendy was horribly distraught to see her fiancee Laverne strewn on the floor bloody and no more. Her police gun a mere feet away from where she had fallen.
Wendy in her grief, was found by Joseph still inside the house and she vengefully did everything to stop him from turning her as he attacked her. she was almost bitten when Joseph was suddenly decapitated from behind by a worried Gavin as he stood before her with his machete. He helped her out of the house despite her struggles in vain to find her brother as they were joined by the other three members of their squad. Their plan was to abandon their ranks from the military after they had heard about it being announced that military forces were to be turned into vampires as a new protocol by all the world leaders after they had been turned into vampires as well. Finding out for themselves that being immortal was an upside to being undead.
In the weeks after going rogue, Gavin told Wendy to find an abandoned base that was hidden deep into the mountains nearby that he had heard about. They would hunker down somewhere safe until he had gotten word from her and in the meantime would try to save as many human lives as they still could. After a few months, Wendy was successful and the team along with survivors turned the place into their new home as the world outside changed and became dangerous.
In the few years that followed, Wendy would scout outside the colony walls by herself, looking for new survivors and being hunted by members of her old squadron lead by a man named Hudson Fowler, who had willingly been turned and were tasked with finding her and the other deserters.
Late Life:
In her mid to late 40s, Wendy would still scout despite the constant decreasing in human survivors.
As rumors spread that the Vamps were getting desperate for human blood, her trips became more dangerous and one day, while playing her emergency broadcast for other humans, she ran alongside a car with a Phoenix painted on it and met Lionel Cormac, Edward Dalton, and Audrey Bennett. She guided them back to her colony but ran into some trouble along the way back.
They all arrived there safe, and soon enough Ed, Audrey and Lionel introduced that there was a way to cure vampires back into human beings.
Wendy would ultimately decide to help them convince her colony that it was true, and this collaboration led her to become close with the trio, and eventually causing her and Lionel to become friends and eventually fall in love.
Within a few months, hope spread through the colony as word went around that because the blood substitute was working without any struggles, the conversation around what to do about the remaining humans became relevant again and more senators and government officials were deeply interested in trying to preserve the human race.
For the first time in a long while, Wendy was hopeful for a future where she and Lionel could live together.
Wendy was asked by Gavin to seek out another human colony that were in peaceful contact with Vampire senators that wished to help the humans return safely. She accepted and Lionel volunteered to travel with her.
Upon meeting the new colony in a remote location, Wendy was shocked to find her brother Jeremy alive and well with Trudy and their two daughters. Overcome with joy, the McCoy siblings embraced. But it was very short lived as a rogue party of Vampires found them and attacked.
They were fought off, but Wendy was bitten while protecting her new nieces from being harmed.
While escaping towards home with the colony in tow, Wendy revealed to Lionel that she had been bit and was worried about turning on her loved ones. Lionel assured her that she wouldn’t and once they got back, immediately set up a space for Wendy to be quarantined away from everyone else. Only Lionel and Ed refused to leave her as Parker does his best to care for her before she painfully turned into a vampire.
Lionel offers her his blood without hesitation, but Ed warns him that she might actually end up killing him since she was newly turned and hungry. Before any of them could do something, word spread to them about a group of vamps scouting the mountains near their hiding place and Wendy, fearing the worst, snuck away and successfully lured them away from the mountains on her bike. She was captured by Fowler and was taken to the city to be questioned.
Lionel, Gavin, Audrey and Ed were able to rescue her back and turn Wendy into a human again. Upon seeing that it was in fact possible, Gavin agreed to meet with the Vampires who advocated for human life with Jeremy and Audrey.
Months pass and the vampire community and government has set up peaceful conditions and places of reserves for humans to live openly and safely during the day. Laws are passed condoning the killing of humans by Vampires and while some are displeased on both sides, steps have been taken to ensure humanity continues safely. Wendy has long since recovered and upon coming home from visiting Jeremy and his family, is accompanied by Lionel and in the following weeks discovers that she has become pregnant with her first child.
Wendy at first is troubled by how late at her age she has become pregnant at and is concerned for their baby’s health while Lionel completely supports her by whatever decision she chooses. At this point Ed and Audrey have already had their first daughter and after confiding in Audrey, Wendy decides she wants to keep her baby.
After 8 1/2 months she gives birth to a small but healthy baby boy, she and Lionel name Matthew.
As the years pass and Matthew is now 12, Wendy and Lionel are married and are living happily in a small town that has both a Human and Vampire population within it. Lionel has another garage that services both vampire modeled and human modeled vehicles while Wendy works with Parker at their town clinic.
Wendy lives out the rest of her days with her loved ones, her husband Lionel and son Matthew doing what she loves and at peace with her life.

biography
Aries and Ainsty Knight were one of the biggest crime families in Europe, everything they had built behind blood money and cartel organizations. To everyone else, Ainsty was the love of Aries’s life, giving him his heirs to his cartel. The only secret was that Felix was conceived after a concert that she had gone to for one Mikey Dupont during his European tour.
Being paid off rolled right off Ainsty’s back and she took the money offered by the musician and played Felix off as Aries’s second and final child.
While Flynn was pushed to be the perfect cartel son, Felix was left to live his life as he saw fit. The favorite and golden child, Felix got away with doing just about anything. Still, he didn’t have a fuzzy and warm childhood. Their parents often left them to defend themselves while they ran the business that kept them relevant and wealthy. Felix relied on Flynn for pretty much everything and looked at his brother as if he had the world on his shoulders and wished that there was more he could do to help.
When the fateful night where his brother was attacked by someone angered at their father, Ainsty decided to do what was best for her boys. While Flynn was sent away to the United States, Felix was sent off to boarding school in London. Splitting them apart seemed like the best idea at the time, just in case they ever became targets once again.
Going to boarding school in London seemed to be the best thing for Felix. It was there that he met and bonded with Jesse Hart and the rest of what would eventually become Arctic Monkeys, the band he’s the drummer of even now. It started as them messing around and playing for fun but soon turned into their livelihood.
Through the band, Felix also met someone that was going to change his life forever. Normally the type to sleep around, the antithesis to Jesse only wanting a relationship out of women, Felix met Gaia Levy and was smitten almost instantly. She was only 22 years old to his 29 years but that’d mattered to him. She made him work for her affection, put in effort he never had to before and it only made him like her more. It didn’t take long for the two of them to fall in love with one another.
Due to the nature of his job taking him back and forth from the US to London, Gaia and Felix’s relationship would soon deteriorate. The distance hurting them more than anything else and one night after a sold out show, Felix made the worst decision he could have and cheated on her. When she caught wind of it, Gaia broke up with him immediately. He played it off as her fault when in reality he knew that he was the one at fault for it all.
He had been contacted by a reality tv show to appear on a season and he went for it to give the band even more publicity -- turned out it was Ex on the Beach and he was forced to deal with Gaia in close proximity again.
After the show aired and the death of his adoptive father happened, Ainsty finally told him the truth of him not being Aries’s. She named his father and wanting to know more about his biological family, decided to reach out to his half-sister, renowned actress Felicity Dupont.

1 Chronicles 23: 1-6. "The Reign."
The Levites
23 When David was old and full of years, he made his son Solomon king over Israel.
"When one matures one's relationship with beauty must yield to fairness."
David obviously had problems aroud things of beauty his son Solomon did not.
2 He also gathered together all the leaders of Israel, as well as the priests and Levites.
3 The Levites thirty years old or more were counted, and the total number of men was thirty-eight thousand.
Levites are "connected to God since birth." They do not fall prey to the wiles of the gods of Egypt, are never influenced by nonsense. They "know the way".
Levites 30 years old or more= "The inverted phoenix."
38,000= 3 + 8=11 * 1000 = the 11th Commandment, "Teach of these things to your children, generation after generation".
And G‑d spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying: "Lift up the head of the sons of Kehot from amongst the sons of Levi, according to their families and their fathers' houses…." (Ibid. 4:1-2), and And G‑d spoke to Moses, saying: "Lift up the head of the sons of Gershon as well, according to their fathers' houses and their families…." (Ibid. 4:21-22)
Levites know just about everything, and keep the traditions alive from underneath the Organization. They are charged, in particular with keeping knowledge of the Sefirot alive within the practices of Judaism.
4 David said, “Of these, twenty-four thousand are to be in charge of the work of the temple of the Lord and six thousand are to be officials and judges.
2+4= 6. The tenets and mysticism surrounding the number 6 are to be followed generation after genetration:

Kabbalah explains that these four stages were also used in the creation of the world. The first stage was the overall concept.
1) The initial flash of inspiration (concept)
2) The broadening of the concept (developing the concept in detail)
3) Emotional involvement and the drawing of actual plans
4) Practicalities (building)
Each of the four stages of creation corresponds to one of the four letters in the Tetragrammaton, G‑d’s four-lettered name of Havaye. The world of Atzilut corresponds to the letter Yud.
6 David separated the Levites into divisions corresponding to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath and Merari.
Gershon= to expel
Kohath= to gather, to congregate
Merari= myrrh + ari= "the essence of the very best."
This entire section speaks of ways to press out or gath, the good things David's reign left behind and preserve them in combination with the "fairness and justice" or "completeness" we have come to believe in from that of Solomon's. This is what is meant by the term Levi, the connection between reigns that permits tradition and innovation to work together with the religion.
Every generation of Jews needs to gather to perform the Four Steps and formalize its approach to the future as if each had a king, a court, and a reign. What was repugnant about the rulership of the former court is obviously removed, what is needed to connect to God more completely is added. Then the effects of the steps are measured until the final stage, the myrrh is distilled.
As this catechism suggests this includes achievement in reality all of the sacraments a Jew observes via facsimile during Shabbat.

Heaven's Demons, Chapter 15

“Are you fucking serious right now?”
“Laure-“
“No Lee…a-are you-“
“Lauren!”
She flinched, and Lee instantly felt a pang in his chest as he saw the scared expression across her features. He shook his head and Lauren bit her lip, storming out of the office. Andy was quick to rush Lee, pushing the man who’d made his sister leave, “what the hell was that, Bodecker?”
“Back off, Barber.”
“Andy’s right!” Ari agreed, stepping up to the sheriff. He pushed Lee slightly, “I want to know exactly what the fuck that just was. So spit it out, Bodecker!”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Lev-“
“Cut the bullshit, Lee!” Ari growled, “look, I know that we both love Laur-“
“Love?” Lee scoffed, unable to control his emotions. He pushed Ari back a step and glared the man down, “you saying you love her is bullshit, Levi. There’s no way you fucking love Lauren.”
“I do-“
“You loved cheating on Lauren!” Lee all but yelled, cutting his friend off, “I remember that. But her…no. You don’t love her! You’re just a pussy crazed fucking asshole! If I was given the same shot you were given, I never would have fucking done that. She would be married to me, and I’d be treating her like the queen she is! Ou-”
“A queen?” Ari scoffed, pushing his friend back, “how many queens you let get beat, huh Lee? You’re fucking sheriff, and you could easily go and make Evan disa-fucking-pear, and yet, you let that son of a bitch put his hands on her? I may have cheated on her, and I regret that shit every god damn day of my life, but I never would have let anyone fucking hit her! Never! If I had known about it, that bastard would have been buried in an unmarked grave and I’d have her back in my arms so fucking quick!”
“Fuck you!”
“No, fuck you, sheriff!”
Andy jumped between his two friends, anger lacing his features. He glared at each of them, before turning his full attention to Lee, “Ari’s right.”
“Of course you agree with him,” Lee growled, crossing his arms over his chest, “he fucking cheated on Lau-“
“And I know that he regrets it!” Andy said, cutting him off. His expression changed, and Lee felt a pang in his chest as he noticed the sadness on Andy’s face, “you claimed to love my little sister, but you knew he was beating the shit out of her…”
“It’s not that simple, Andy…”
“Well I’m making it that simple,” he said in a low tone, “you either make it right, Lee…or I will…and the fucker won’t disappear quietly. No one gets away with beating the shit out of my baby sister.”
“Andy-“
“You do right by her Lee, or Ari and I will.”
Lee sat in his car, foot tapping nervously on the floor as he stared at the house.
Their house.
Lee remembered the last time he’d been called there. He remembered so much. And he bit his lip. Hell, he remembered all the bullshit he’d dealt with being Lauren’s ‘friend’. With a huff, he watched Evan, Lauren, and their son through the semi-sheer curtains.
Regret was coursing through his veins. Regret for letting her go back to that asshole tonight. Regret for ever letting her go in the first place. Regret for not taking care of it when he first found out.
His eyes flickered to the gun that had the serial number filed off it that sat beside him on the passenger seat.
Andy was right. He had to settle it. A million thoughts seemed to be running through his head. All the memories he shared with Lauren. All the reasons he’d tried to run through to make sense of why he sat where he was.
And his mind settled on Ari.
How sure Ari looked. How serious Ari seemed just talking about how he would have had Lauren back in his arms had he known about Evan. And the more insecure part of himself thought back to those days when Ari was the one dating her. How Ari cheated. How afterwards…for the shortest time, she used Lee as a rebound. They were friendly, yes, but only the two of them knew about how he’d take his cruiser and pick her up…how the two of them would go out to the woods and she would ride him in the back of his cruiser almost every single night. How he would wipe away her tears and tell her that he’d treat her right, but she would continuously reject him.
And then Evan came along.
And it all stopped.
“Listen here boy…I’m only gonna say this once…you’re gonna leave that Barber girl alone.”
Lee frowned, looking at the sheriff, “excuse me?”
“My boy…Evan…he’s dating her…now, normally I don’t get into these kind of affairs, but he’s made something clear to me,” the older man sighed, leaning back in his chair. Lee frowned, seeing the sheriff’s pot-belly poking over the top of the desk, “my boy n’ her are gonna be having a baby.”
Lee felt like his heart stopped, “what?”
“That’s right,” he nodded with pursed lips, “now I ain’t too proud of what Evan’s been doing, and lord knows that Barber girl comes from shoddy stock, but kin is kin…and Evan’s gonna be proposing to her now that he knows…so you need to back right on off…and tell that Levinson boy to stop chasing her too…I know they used to be an item an Evan’s mentioned him to me…I catch either one of you sniffin around her...”
“Sheriff, I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Lee lied, shaking his head at the man, “her older brother is mine and Ari’s best friend…we’re just watching out for her.”
“Well Evan will be watchin out for her now,” the man grumbled, seeming dissatisfied with having to admit it, “so you two can just back on off…you understand me, boy?”
Lee was quiet. The sheriff banged his hand down on the desk hard, and Lee jumped slightly, nodding as the older man commanded him to leave the office. Lee felt his heart sink as he made his way back to his desk.
Pulling out his phone he shot her a message.
‘Is it true?’
It wasn’t but a few moments later when his phone buzzed again.
‘Can’t talk about this now…meet me at our spot at eleven tonight?’
“Lee…Lee…please.”
Lee’s eyes drifted away from the body, the scarlet leaking from the wound and down between the grouted kitchen tiles. His heart hurt as he noticed the newly forming bruises on Lauren’s neck, the ugly maroon a deep contrast from the rich scarlet flowing from Evan’s body.
He dropped the gun, the metal clattering to the floor. Her son rushed into Lauren’s arms, instantly sobbing that ‘its over mommy,’ making Lee’s heart lurch even more. He frowned, seeing the cut on his brow, knowing that there would be at least one scar on him from Evan that would never go away. Lee fell to his knees, wanting to be at their level. Wanting to make sure that they were truly okay.
“Y-you two alright?”
Lauren gave Lee a look, one between relief and anger that he’d been there watching her in the first place.
Lee’s leg bounced nervously, his nail catching his teeth as he bit it nervously. His heart raced when he noticed the argument that was taking place between Evan and Lauren.
He could vaguely see that they were arguing about her even going to Andy’s bar. Even though Andy was protected, he served nearly everyone in town, regardless of who they were…even if they were Evan’s friends. Lee knew that one of them must have told on her, and now she was paying the price.
Lee’s heart raced as he noticed her go around the edge of the table, and Evan pushing her, before backhanding her.
That was it.
That was the last straw.
Lee reached for the gun and tucked it into his pants as he raced towards the house.
Through the curtains he saw the little boy trying to pull Evan off his mother as he’d leaned her over the table and began choking her. Lee rushed the house, kicking the door in, just in time to see Evan backhanding the little boy away from them and his head bouncing off the side of the table. Lee lifted his gun and pulled the trigger.
Lee leaned down from his kneeling position, pushing himself forward until he was eye level with Lauren and her son.
“You okay buddy?”
Lee felt himself nearly being knocked over when the little boy rushed out of his mother’s arms and into Lee’s.
Lee sighed, hearing the little boy thanking him for ‘saving them.’
“It’s okay, buddy,” Lee sighed, his heart breaking. Lauren tearily nodded at Lee, their unspoken acknowledgment of the situation unfolding. Lee rubbed held onto the little boy protectively, “it’s okay buddy…daddy’s got you…the bad man’s gone.”
“I-I’m sorry I couldn’t protect me and mommy, daddy,” the little boy wailed against his father’s chest, “I-I’m so sorry daddy…I tried to…I swear!”
“You did good, buddy!” Lee sighed, trying to calm him down, “I promise…you did good. Just take a deep breath…daddy made sure the bad man never hurts you or mommy again.”

One Daughter
Name: Tilly
Nickname/s: kitten/Kitty
Birthday: April 4th (Aries♈️)
Mama or daddy’s girl?: she’s fair with both of her parents, but she leans more to her dads side
Closest Uncle: Beelzebub. If she starts having a fit and gets angry he would be the first uncle to pull her away and try to calm her down.
Least closest Uncle: Lucifer. She doesn’t hate him or anything, she is just really anxious when it comes to talking to him.
Appearance: Tilly looks alot like Satan, same hair, similar dressing style. She has multicoloured eyes, one green and yellow gradient eye, and one lavender and yellow gradient eye. She wears simple, see through reading glasses. She also wears two, silver earrings with green gems in it. She also has a similar style as Satan. She would normally wear a sweater and either a skirt or jeans. If she wears a skirt, she would usually wear thigh highs. She also normally wears her hair up in messy buns.
Personality: Sweet, charismatic, and knowledgeable. She’s a lot like her father, an introvert, although unlike her father, she doesn’t have infinite connections to people. Tilly is the type of person to be happy and content to be by herself, reading a book at home. When she used to be really small, it would be a regular occurrence to have fits and tantrums. However as she grew older, she became more composed and mature, so having fits became a rare occurrence, just don’t piss her off.

Closest Uncle: Satan. Mio just finds him really relaxing that’s all, stress leads to wrinkles ✋🏼🥺
Least closest Uncle: Mammon, Mio just doesn’t vibe with him
Appearance: Mio doesn’t necessarily have a specific style when it’s comes to his wardrobe. However, it’s usually something more on the comforter like maybe a hoodie? Baggy clothing? Occasionally, he likes to wear skirts and stockings, however the poor baby gets really anxious about wearing stuff like that in public.🥺 his hair style is a lot alike Asmo’s however the bangs are drifted to the other side of his face. His hair colour however is that of MC.( Based on my MC, his hair is black).
Personality: A lot like his father, he’s really happy and cheerful. Asmo made a comment one day,” well with your genes and mine combined, both of them are obviously going to grow up and become the cutest, and prettiest people in all three realms!” To be honest, it was true, Both Mio and Zuri are the cuties little children in the worlds. You ever feeling sad? This little baby is the best to cuddle with, he always has a nice scent to him, and he also has a warm touch to him too.

Nickname/s: Zee, Princess (by Asmo)
Birthday: December 13th (Sagittarius♐️)
Mama or daddy’s girl?: Mamas girl
Closest uncle: Leviathan, she likes to wear the outfits he sews for her, and she also likes cosplaying time to time.
Least closest uncle: Belphegor, I mean the guy killed her mama, so they don’t get along well.
Appearance: Did someone mention…pastel colours? All this baby girl wears are pastel coloured clothing. She’s really cutesy and is really charismatic. She has Asmo’s demon form, her mama’s eyes, and her fathers hair.(Based on my MC, she has lavender coloured eyes). Everyday of the week, she has a specific hairstyle for that day. She has a variety of necklaces, and only a couple of plain, gold rings.
Personality: Super cute and cheery. She’s really optimistic, always positive no matter what people say about her, but mention her family…your gone. Cute but deadly so try not to get on her bad side. She is the type of person to have dirt on every single person, and loves gossip. She also has a love for nature, so long as she doesn’t get dirty from it. She is also a talented drawer too, drawing outfit designs and asking her uncle Levi if it was possible her could make it.
