The wedding of Yriaf and Edward Newgate.

Imu expectations is a wedding fit for a princess.

There will be a formal attire dress code.

Elaborate flower arrangements, especially the bridal bouquet, with only white flowers and pure white lilies.

There will be a fine dining reception menu and a large multi tier cake.

Imu: It’s going to be the wedding of the century!

However, Imu have to share the wedding planning with xebec.

And xebec dump the work to some of his crew.

Here is how the work is split:

Imu: flower arrangements, (some of) the guest list, and the wedding cake. And actually finance the wedding cost.

Shakky and stussy : the bride’s dress, the groom’s suit/tuxedo,the costume and makeup design.

Linlin: seating arrangements, chose the design of the bridesmaids outfit.

Streusen: the chef, plan the whole reception menu, he can’t bake the cake cuz imu put their foot down and said no.

Kaidou: every thing else, including the alcohol.

The reason Kaidou is the wedding planner is because the members of the rocks pirate (excluding the groom and the captain) spins a bottle to pick the main wedding planner (mostly cuz none of the male members want to do the wedding planning )and the bottle landed pointing to Kaidou .

Kaidou, of course don’t know how to plan a wedding, so he reached out to the girls for help.

So here is the reality breakdown:

Xebec crying

Gloriosa the bridesmaid and her snake are drunk

Shakky the bridesmaid holding a cardboard red heart saying, “for the newly weds privacy”

Yriaf and Edward Newgate making out.

Yriaf: I love you , Eddie!

Edward Newgate: I love you too, fairy!

Stussy the bridesmaid:what is this wedding?

Charlotte linlin the maid of honor has caught the throwaway bouquet /bridal toss bouquet. Also ate the entire cake.

Imu being salty: the wine taste like crap and linlin ate the entire cake that I sent.

Who ever planned this subpar wedding must be sacked.

And Yriaf ‘s groom looks….. homely.

Kaidou, super pissed cuz he tries so hard: Well excuse ME, your highness, HOW CAN WE GET GOOD WINE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEA?!

The wedding is on the rocks pirates ship.

The people attending the wedding are the rocks pirates, Imu, cipher pol agents, gol d Rodger ( for reasons unspecified), 2 out of the five elders and the world government commander in chief along with 3 important trio, sengoku, garp and tsuru. There are no other celestial dragons cuz imu believe they can’t behave themselves.

You would think it dangerous for two enemies in one ship. Fortunately, Imu brought a some super strong champagne and they all became black out drunk right after the wedding toast . They can’t remember much about the the wedding afterwards , Cuz by then , Imu drag all of the world government side back to their yacht and sailed away.

Imu build up alcohol tolerance over the years and a simple champagne won’t hurt them.

❝ have i been on your mind? ❞ (Atahni to Hiroto, sorry not sorry, he's a problem—)

Hiroto never intended to develop any emotional attachments, but now he finds himself spending more and more time with A’atahni. Their original arrangement had been purely physical, a means to satisfy their desires. So, when did things start to change? The viper let out a weary sigh before stepping into the shower, still fully clothed, but he didn’t care. Hiroto needed something—anything—to distract him from his mind focusing on A’atahni. To try to push away the feelings inside his chest that threatened to spill out anytime the two were so closely wrapped up in each other. Leaning against the tiled wall, he felt the wet fabric against his skin, the sensation doing nothing to silence his racing mind.

Of course, one time he needed the cold water to snap him out of this internal struggle.

Closing his eyes, the viper could clearly remember A’atahni laying beneath him, their bodies intertwined, lips locked in a passionate kiss. Their hands are eagerly seeking to remove any obstacles between them. Each touch and caress ignites a powerful primal desire. He could still vividly recall the sensation of their bodies melding together and the sound of their hushed breaths mingling. It was the very thing the white-haired male wanted to avoid. He wanted to avoid getting too emotionally invested in their relationship, knowing that one of them would eventually leave. That’s how it's always been for Hiroto. People would come and go and use him for whatever they needed before tossing him away. The sad thing was that he hadn’t minded that. It prevented me from getting too deeply connected to someone else. To keep that distance and protect what little remained of his heart.

"Fuck, this shouldn’t be that complicated. I have had one-night stands and such before, but why is he so different?” mumbled Hiroto, as he closed his eyes. Water dripping down his forehead and chest. Slowly, he felt the cool tiles of the shower wall against his palm as his hand tightened into a fist. This wasn’t just about the physical intimacy anymore; it was much more, which both excited and terrified Viper at the same time.

Deciding that it wasn’t helping, the Viper stepped out of the shower, his hair and clothes completely soaked as he made his way into the bedroom. He tossed his wet clothes into the laundry basket before changing into a tank top and pants. Just as he was racking his brain for any other distraction to keep his thoughts away from A’atahni, there came a soft knock on the door. Hiroto took a deep breath and slowly opened the door, only to find A’atahni standing there with his usual sly smirk.

“A’atahni… I thought you were taking the day to spend with Tsuru," mumbled Hiroto as he scratched the back of his head. Last night, the raven-haired male mentioned taking his daughter fishing, yet here he stands outside Hiroto’s door. It wasn’t like the white-haired male wasn’t happy to see the other. He was actually thrilled, but that wasn’t something he was going to simply reveal. It was best not to. Saying the words inside his heart would only make a mess of things.

Letting out a small gasp, Hiroto felt A’atahni gently push him against the door frame before pressing a kiss to his ear. It was a sensitive spot for the viper which lead to him emitting a gentle purr. One of Hiroto's hands quickly reached up and covered his own mouth as the viper tried to prevent any more sounds from escaping his lips, yet even that proved futile.

“You know that’s not fair..you’ve found so many of my sensitive spots.”

They had remained like that for a few moments before eventually entering the house. Hiroto took a breath as he sat next to A'atahni on the sofa. If the other had skipped out on plans with Tsuru, it meant that whatever he had to say was pretty damn important. Which led to Hiroto's mind racing so quickly with thoughts that maybe the other had come to break things off.

"It's good to see you, darling, but there has to be a reason you suddenly showed up like this. Tsuru was so excited to spend the day with you."

At least Hiroto had seen both of them the previous day. The three had decided to take the day and go fishing. Hiroto wasn't a pro by any means, but it made A'atahni and Tsuru happy, so he wanted to improve. He even ended up giving Tsuru this beautiful crystal necklace that was a beautiful purple hue, much like A'atahni eyes. The way the little girl's eyes lit up spoke volumes about how much that meant to her.It was the moment A'atahni had left to grab them some lunch that Tsuru had excitedly told Hiroto that her father planned to take the entire day to just spend with her. Which is why the viper was left confused as to why A'atahni had missed out on time with his own daughter.

'Meadowsweet...have I been on your mind?'

Hiroto's eyes widened slightly as his face quickly turned away from the other. It was a simple enough question, yet the weight it had on it was everything. Normally, the viper could answer such questions easily, but now things felt different. He had gotten way too attached to A'atahni and Tsuru. Would it be a stretch to say that he even saw a future for the three of them together? Which was a first, considering Hiroto had never once thought of anything beyond the growing hatred inside his chest. The pain of feeling unloved by his own family, which hadn't been the case since he was only a child at the time,

"I...."

This was harder to answer than Hiroto thought, but maybe that was because A'atahni meant far more to him than he had believed. The way the other consumed his thoughts was intoxicating and frustrating at the same time. Hiroto couldn't think about anything else but the raven-haired male that sat so close to him. The way every caress and touch made his own body react so differently.

"We promised not to get too attached—that was what we had said when we started seeing each other yet. Lately, I can't stop thinking about you. I lay awake at night, missing you in my arms—the way that I have grown to care for Tsuru so much too."

Don't say it. Those three words will bury both of us. It will take away everything we have right now and possibly destroy us.

Gently, Hiroto cupped A'atahni's face, leaning in and pressing their lips together as his chest ached. If this was their goodbye, he would just have to be honest. Even if that took away everything, there was no escaping the fact that Hiroto truly loved A'atahni.

"A'atahni... I love you, which is something I have told myself time and time again was wrong. The two of us have built so many walls over the years that we sought anything to numb that pain, yet during the process... I found myself drawn to you in so many ways. The way you truly smile around your daughter and even me sometimes. It's brief, but I've seen it. The pain that you have been through tries to convince you that falling for someone else is the end of the world. Believe me, I thought that for so long, but you—I hate that I love you. I see a future with you, which I have never felt with anyone. You have seen my scars. You know a bit about my past. I can't ask you to return my feelings, but...you asked if I was thinking about you, and the answer is every second of every day."

For so many years, Hiroto had closed off his heart, and the one person who had broken so many of his defenses was also the type to run away from love. He felt a deep ache in his heart, knowing that expressing his feelings could potentially destroy everything they had. To cause A'atahni to run from him, and everything would vanish in that single instant. The viper couldn't be mad at how the others reacted. In the end, he would respect whatever he decided, but twelfth, he prayed that he wasn't just seeing things. That he cared just as much for him too.

shopping date w/ their girlfriend (kiku, ikkaku)

Kiku

Her natural instinct is to spoil you, so the easiest way to convince Kiku to treat herself every once in a while is to make a day out of it

Say that you’re looking to get something nice for yourself and then sneak in little things for her, too

“But Kiku-chaaan, wouldn’t it be so cute if we got a matching pair?” gets her every time

You’d still be walking away with a fair amount of stuff, though, Kiku-chan has methods of getting her way too (batting her cute little eyelashes and carrying you up to her height so the puppy eyes are SUUUPER effective)

Kiku can be a bit naïve when it comes to shopkeepers spinning wild yarns about how beautiful - ethereal a lady would look in their wares, how a woman simply mustn’t go without [insert whatever cheap product they try to peddle to your poor lovestruck lady]

You can immediately see the stars in her eyes when she looks at you for affirmation, specifically to ask permission to buy it for you, and you have to pull her away before the money you were looking to spend on lunch gets swindled out of her pockets

Kiku only ever means well, but she can get a little tunnel visioned when it comes to matters regarding to you and your happiness...

And really, could you actually be mad at her for caring that much?

Shopping dates - dates with Kiku in general - were ended by sharing dango and wagashi outside of Tsuru’s tea shop, the older lady sneakily listening in on your lovey-dovey conversations every now and again for the tea like the gossipy aunt that she was, but in the end would sigh wistfully and leaving you two lovebirds to your own devices

Kiku would pull you into her lap, arms around your waist for ‘support’, and you’d feed her in return, occasionally wiping sauce from the corner of each other’s mouths, sharing chaste kisses that still sent fire to both of your faces even though you had been an item for quite some time now

It was all incredibly sappy and saccharine couldn’t even begin to cover it, but the two of you were happy with these arrangements, and neither would have it any other way

Ikkaku

She kind of has a bad habit of letting stuff wear through, so shopping trips every few months or so are a must

“If you wanted to go on a date, mi amorcito, you just had to ask~”

Ikkaku would tease you and pull you into her side every time you pouted, pecking kisses all over your face until her captain cleared their throat and sent a very dry look towards the two of you in the middle of the meeting he’d called

Frankly you thought it hypocritical considering how Law acted around one such ‘Denki-ya’, but you weren’t so bold to actually mention it to your captain - that would obviously be your beloved (through gritted teeth) girlfriend

After the two of you were done with a week’s worth of extra cleanup duty for Ikkaku’s little stunt, she’d take you out for a grand night on the town

Smoothies in the late afternoon to start off, you hassling her into at least a handful of dressing rooms in an attempt to get her some new clothes to replace the tatty, worn out ones that always lined the back of her work chair, then Ikkaku staring at you with the biggest hearts in her eyes when you pose and twirl for her with the clothes you pick for yourself

From there a walk downtown before Ikkaku inevitably drags you off into a park or the town square where she embarrassingly dances with you like no one’s watching, shopping bags and all,

And finally, a wonderful dinner after dropping off the day’s “catch” with Shachi so the two of you can spend the rest of your night unbothered

When you get back to the ship, everyone is conveniently out of the way and there are no chores to be done, either - Ikkaku washes your hair with your back against her in the tub of the Tang’s communal bathroom, cooing soft compliments about how cute you are and how lucky she is to have you

The two of you climb into bed to sleep like snuggly logs, albeit after you find her sneaking a late night snack an hour after going to bed, until sunrise

petition for someone to make an utau fighting rpg game. you could play as any one of the main utauloids, and each one of them could have a different ability power up thing. that activated whenever they found their character item,,,

like teto's would be hair drills activated when bread, momo's would be summoning nyan cat when peach, defoko would just have a big ahh rocket when rice, ruko would have invincibility or something when coffee, ritsu would have missile boobs when cabbage, tei would have super speed when cucumber, and rook and miko could turn into dogs when tea and apple.

the story would be based off the song "declare war on all vocaloids" and you would basically have to fight all the vocaloids and win to become the most popular vocal synth in the world. there would be several different worlds you could travel to, one for each synth program, like utau, vocaloid, synth v, voiceroid, etc. the npcs in each world will be different, for example in synth v you could interact with tsuina chan and eleanor forte, but not in voiceroid... macne nana's cafe would be the main store for supplies in every world, since she's both an utau and vocaloid.

when you leveled up you could unlock different outfits, for each of the chosen utauloid's voicebanks, and each of them could have different advantages.

•teto's outfits would be her regular design, her concept art design (unlocked at level 5) wings at level 10, and her synth v design at level 15

•momo's outfits would be her regular design, her concept art design (unlocked at level 5) cat ears (unlocked at level 10) and idk something else at level 15

•defoko's outfits would be her regular design, her concept art design (unlocked at level 5) and her alternate outfits for levels 10 and 15

•ruko's outfits would be their 2008 illustration, their 2012 illustration and their 2014 illustration. im not adding links go look it up yourself on the utau wiki

•ritsu's outfits would be his regular design, his strong design at level 5, his eve design at level 10 and his kire design at level 15

•tei's outfits would be her regular design and her 2012 illustration

•rook's outfits would be his regular design and his 2019 illustration

•miko's outfits would be her first and second form

the soundtrack would be chiptune and jersey club arrangements of iconic utau/vocaloid songs, think teto territory, ur-style, hyper chocolate crispy girl, eternal force blizzard.

when you interacted with the npcs, there would be several options to choose in conversation, and they depended on what character you're playing as. for example teto's "no, sorry TwT" would be tei's "die!"

npcs would include kikuune aiko, haruka nana, macne nana, yuzuki yukari, and acme iku, and you could get level up points for talking to them. a side quest in the game would be to get the autographs of as many different npcs as possible, which would be possible if you talked to them long enough.

there would also be obscure vipperloids in this game, such as mochizuki kei, go-on nero, himomoto oniko, denne hibiki, aino hate, kotone tsuru, scott, chitose rifu, akune kin, munashine bochi, the inazune triplets, akane hina and sakurane ryoko.

Dragon Ball Super 096

I can’t believe it still isn’t time for the Tournament of Power to start.

So there’s only eight universes participating in the tournament. The other four universes are exempt from the competition, so all we ever see of Universes 1, 5, 8, and 12 are their top gods and angels, since they get to watch the tournament. I guess we might as well take a look at them, for all they matter.

First off, here’s Universe 1′s Iwan, Anato, and Awamo.

Then we have U5′s Ogma, Cukatail, and Arak.

And U8′s Liquiir, Iru, and Korn. These guys look like a bad bootleg verision of Beerus, Whis, and Shin.

And finally, we have Universe 12′s Martinu, Agu, and Giin.

They’re all admiring the new ring, though some of the Destroyers question whether it’s sturdy enough to handle all the action that’s about to go down. The Grand Minister invites them to have a sparring match on the stage to break it in, and three of the Destroyers decide to go for it. Giin, however, sits this one out, as he already knows how it’ll turn out.

So they fight, and wreck the stage pretty well, and it turns out the Zenos weren’t even watching the action, so it was kind of a waste of time. The Grand Minister than tells them to repair the stage before the Zenos wake up from their nap. Whoops.

On Earth, no one is happy about Frieza being on the team, least of all Vegeta, but we’ve been over this already. Whis wants them all to hold hands while they teleport to the tournament stage, and Vegeta balks at holding hands with Frieza, so Beerus puts himself in between to settle it.

Of course we all know that Frieza really wanted to hold Yamcha’s hand, but he didn’t make the cut, sorry.

As Bulma sees them off, she calls out some words of encouragement to them, which in the original Japanese version would turn out to be the last lines Hiromi Tsuru would record for the character before her untimely passing in 2017.

Moving on. Everyone checks out the stage and Goku tests the whole “no flying” thing. It’s not really a rule, per se. Somehow, the Grand Zenos have arranged it so that the fighters can’t use flying techniques while they’re on the stage. Also, there’s some weird deal where every fighter experiences the gravitational force of the planet they were born on. So Goku and Vegeta must be experiencing ten times Earth’s gravity, while Gohan’s feeling the same gravity as Earth. Some characters in this thing have wings, and they can fly, but only because they’re not using special techniques to do it.

Frieza notices Frost and “Careless Whisper” begins to play in the Null Realm.

Goku tries to say hello to the other Universe 6 Saiyans, but Kale’s afraid of him, and Caulifla slaps his hand away. “I’m gonna beat your ass, Goku,” she basically says to him. Caulifla rules.

Goku tries to mingle with the U11 team, but they hate his guts on general principle. In particular, Jiren wants nothing to do with him.

We close out with a bunch of group shots of the eight teams, but honestly, I don’t want to get into that. We’ll have plenty of time to talk about the teams once this thing gets underway.

And phew! We’re finally done with the third quarter of Dragon Ball Super. The waiting is over. Next episode, we’ll start the Tournament of Power, and finally get to the real meat and potatoes of this show. No more bullshit, it’s time for the main event.

Well, first I need to double back and cover the manga version of this pre-tournament stuff. But that shouldn’t take too long...

KOKIA round-up: March 14-18, 2023

Once again, I’ll have to resort to providing summaries instead of full translations for KOKIA’s blog entries. My apologies and thank you for your continuous patience. I’ll also include updates from YouTube below to round out the news from this week. - KOKIAfans admin

In her blog entry of March 14, KOKIA informs the members of her fan club ancoro that the people who got selected for her ‘25th anniversary celebration’ have received a message telling them they won. She does feel very sorry for those who missed out and hopes she’ll get to meet them somewhere else soon.

In her entry of March 15, KOKIA reveals one of her career dreams is coming true in her 25th anniversary concert next month. Musician and violinist Norihiro Tsuru is joining her band as a ‘sound ranger’ for the concert. She holds him in high esteem and is very excited to share this news. He also did work for Nesia no tabibito (’voyagers of Nesia’), for which KOKIA got to perform the theme song, and Karakurizoushi Ayatsuri sakon ('Doll puppeteer Sakon'), for which KOKIA performed the song Sayonara wa iwanaide (’don’t say goodbye’). She’d only just debuted back then, and she thought she was a hundred years too early to invite Tsuru to perform with her, but it only took 25 years in the end. Ayako, who has been playing with Tsuru for many years, will also join on cello. The concert will probably have some charming violin arrangements, so stay tuned!

Today, KOKIA held her last of the monthly viewing parties on YouTube, this time showing her 2012 concert ‘History’. In the chat, she announced that the pamphlet for her 25th anniversary will have 32 pages. She’s thinking of selling them via the web shop too as well as at the venue, and it will be bilingual, in both Japanese and English.

Since this is her last chance to ask in the chat, she mentions how tickets for April 27 are still available for purchase via livepocket.

She feels that the feelings of the History concert are connected to her 25th anniversary concert, and she’s looking forward to April 1, when she’ll be able to meet her audience in real life at Yatsugatake Kogen Music Hall. Thanks for joining these free streams!

PRONOUNS. she/her HEIGHT. 4′9″ ( 149 cm ) AGE. 27 ( summers ) years old ZODIAC. Cancer, technically. But they don’t have an official zodiac in Eorzea so she doesn’t know what the heck that is. SPOKEN LANGUAGES. Common, Doman, Eorzean. But she can basically speak any and all languages with ease thanks to the echo! So this is a moot point.

Limbal rings exist in both of them, dull in sunlight but often make her eyes eerily glow when in dark places. SKIN TONE. Let’s have a fun Akazaya headcanon. Obviously Oden was a natural disaster that destroyed every room he stayed in until Toki either reigned him in or made the issue far worse. Hard to tell with that girl. Looking at how big Oden Castle was back in the day though...seemed big enough I always imagined the retainers ended up having a floor to themselves. Not too many people so each one could have their own room.

What do these rooms look like? That’s where I come in:

Kin’emon: Quite nice actually. No Kin has nothing to do with that. Tsuru though would of course curate a lovely space. That reminds me, there is something about that in canon I need to circle back to but we’re assuming they get a fancy double suite and Tsuru has your average sensibility for classic Wano decor. Nice floral arrangements, cozy but the furniture is nice. Tidy and smells clean. Kin doesn’t exactly spend a lot of time indoors.

Denjiro: Ever-shifting with no rhyme or reason. His room is basically a warehouse for various things he’s in the process of moving around. Imagine a somewhat organized hoarder. There’s also a table cluttered with papers and sake bottles as the centerpiece of the actual small living area. Smells kinda musty.

Izo: Oden Castle, kind of spartan because he keeps a lot of space empty for dance practice. Everything has a place but it’s tastefully arranged. Since he was dragged away middle of the night, a few things are out of place but the gang left everything as it was. Moby Dick? Classy as hell. Fine silks, the most well-stocked vanity you’ve ever seen. Little library and pistol collection. And one of the greatest mysteries of the Whitebeard Pirates, how he always has a flawless vase of chrysanthemum in there. He keeps them refreshed as well as possible, but Marco’ll perk em up if he has to.

Kiku <3: Well duh, the coolest room. It’s just official her hobby is aromatherapy so this one obviously smells the best. Fought the rest of the group for the good balcony so she can have a flower garden. But also little shelves of jars, apothecary equipment like mortar & pestles, diffusers, etc. Noh decor on the walls, cool houseplants, nothing super extravagant but it’s all nice and comfy. Spends the most time in hers. Neko has also soft-claimed a really good sunny spot in here for nap time. Kawamatsu is allowed to use it but chooses not to, and there is a growing feud now that Toki’s learned of it.

Kanjuro: Perfectly normal but has a vaguely sinister vibe. There’s also like, a holodeck vibe to it since he doesn’t really need permanent furniture. He’ll use his fruit to make the space suit his needs. Makes the place smell like ink though. It’s strong enough Kiku & the Minks don’t like it.

Raizo: The one you really want to knock before entering. The room is fine, if a little spartan. Raizo even has a decent head for aesthetics. There’s a couple of cool statues, some nice inspiring scrolls hanging. Ninja weapon wall is always bitchin. But man...there’s a lot of pornography not very well hidden and it kinda smells like a sad lonely dude lives here. The whole thing gives off a Franky vibe. The guys think it’s cool as hell, then smash cut to Tsuru, Kiku, & Toki deadpan.

Ashura Doji: It’s a type of orderly. Everything is in it’s proper place. Quite tidy even. Doji just...doesn’t understand the difference between proper indoor and outdoor activities. So he keeps it clean but he might be making snake blood soup in a giant pot or something wild like that. A little hazy from the herbs Kiku makes him burn to keep the house from stinking. Doji thinks this adds a touch of class. He also maintains at least one statement floral arrangement. But like, a tough one.

Inuarashi: He is a samurai dog man, what the hell else would it look like? Cool, orderly weapon displays. Maybe a little religious shrine or scrolls like Raizo’s. A tasteful collection of some luxuries he’s picked up but functional things. Then bone. Some furniture made out of bone that would look a lot better without the little bite marks on it. There’s also this type of carnival prize where they creatively make a little animal that squeaks when you squish it. Inu keeps the big one he won one fire festival.

Nekomamushi: A damn mess. He has a couple of piles of things to snooze on at various times of the day. It smells like smoke from his pipe. Nothing ever stays in place because he compulsively bats it around. Outside or in Kiku’s room half the day anyways. Samurai cat man. His life is a chain of rotating whimsical duties and rotating through his daily schedule of sleeping spots.

Kawamatsu: His room is a little animal sanctuary. First floor and even opens to a small pond. Makes it easier to pop over to the stables and such. He just kinda...chills out underwater decompressing a lot. Divulges his (and all the gang’s) worries into wounded baby squirrels and such. Doesn’t exactly smell nice, but he tries to keep it clean.

Shinobu: Girl’s a hot mess. It’s kinda like Raizo but for a woman. Makeup & sake bottles strewn about. You might step on an um...marital aid. Piles of clothes, a bit of natural funk not entirely covered up by some attempt at an air freshener. Tries to have floral arrangements and plants but they’re too “mature” for most people’s tastes. Stop saying they’re rotten!

¨You have been doing a remarkable job in such little time, Commander L/N. We all have great expectations regarding your transference to our Marine Headquarters.¨

The words of the Rear Admiral barely scratched your mind as you discreetly observed the pink-haired boy´s reflection on the crystal clear window.

He maintained a similar posture to yours: chin up, chest out, shoulders back, and stomach in. However, while your fingers remained paralleled to your trousers, you took a glimpse of his clenched fist, thumb fidgeting the side of his index finger.

¨Vice Admiral Tsuru was reluctant to sign your transfer. She said you remind her of herself in the past, which is always an excellent compliment to hear.¨ you nodded, acknowledging his words ¨We´re glad we convinced her.¨

Your heart warmed with his words, and you almost felt bad because you knew the disappointing outcome O-Tsuru-san would have at the end of this. She trained you with the iron face of a merciless soldier, and the elegance that resembled the animal of her name.

It has been three years since you received the green card from your captain to part ways in a long-term solo mission. A journey to excavate the putrid secrets of the so-called defenders of the law. You learned after a short time that justice is not so black and white.

Not that you planned to reveal the dirt, no. That intel your captain could sell to the Revolutionary Army and keep the capital running. You were interested in the arms race, the corrupt diplomacy, and more importantly, the dark pipes where traitors flowed.

Someone from inside the Yonkos was feeding the Marines with crucial information about the Emperors´ activities. And in such a close fight, you could not take those risks.

All other Emperors must have their own undercover agents within the Marines, but even that was a dispute. You could point some names to your boss, who confirmed what was suspected. Those would usually be the best of the best, extravagant and loud.

But not you. You didn't have to make that much noise. You slid between the floors of New Marineford like a snake swimming with the current. Earning the respect of your superiors and being promoted without ringing any bells. You accepted each medal with a firm salutation and relentless performance.

¨The trip must have been displeasing. Submerging ten thousand meters underwater and rising to these fiendish waters require a good rest. Our Marine Captain Koby will escort you to your quarters, Commander Y/N. The remaining instructions shall be presented tomorrow.¨

You saluted the Rear Admiral in front of you and turned to the exit, passing by Koby, who waited for you to leave first. When your paths crossed, the pace of your heartbeats quickened, pumping more blood through your body and leaving a burning sensation on your cheeks.

The involuntary response was instantly interpreted as alertness to danger, which needed to be handled with caution.

Can´t let my guard down around this one, you thought.

In fact, you planned to keep as much distance as you could from him. An officer let slip that he has been gaining incredible control over his Observation Haki since the Paramount War.

But the wind seemed to change direction, and you began to swim against the current. When the morning came, you were assigned to be his partner for an undetermined time, and he would act as your superior. The idea of being bossed around by a younger marine got your temper sparked.

Only he was not like the others, treating you in a patronizing and condescending way. He spoke to you with the same cordiality and politeness he addressed everybody else.

Slowly, your concrete cold expression began to soothe. You would still remind yourself how annoying his good manners were, though. So annoying, seriously!

¨Good morning, Y/N-san!¨ he greeted as you joined him for breakfast.

¨Good morning, Koby.¨

¨Our Border Force correspondent sent his report early in the morning with information about possible Yonkos´ alliances in the Wano Country. We are arranging a meeting as soon as possible.¨

You didn´t like to handle work so early, but this subject, in particular, raised your spirits. ¨Good. It was about time.¨

You noticed that he wore a different headband. ¨What happened?¨

¨Hm?¨ he brought the soup bowl close to his mouth.

¨The bandana. Green, with the fried eggs.¨ he choked on the miso soup, coughing like he had swallowed poison.

You reached for a paper tissue and handed it to him. ¨K-Koby, are you ok?¨

¨Y-Y/N... Y/N-san...¨ he coughed some more ¨They´re not... fried eggs...¨

¨Oh...¨ your brows raised slightly ¨What are they?¨

A depressive aura grew around him ¨They are flowers, YN-san...¨

The edge of your lips contorted as you tried to hide a smile. You haven´t felt like smiling genuinely for years. Annoying boy!

From that moment on, ignoring him became more difficult. He started to ask you to train with him or invite you to spend some time with him and Helmeppo whenever you had free time. Eventually, he began to ask you how he looked before an important meeting.

Most of the time, you would reply something like ¨ok¨. But sometimes, the mouth was quicker than the brain, and you would let an ¨impeccable¨ slip out, followed by an awkward throat clearing and blushed cheeks.

From both sides.

¨Oh my-¨ you stopped yourself from finishing the sentence.

You were chosen to complete this mission due to your excellent skills in hiding emotions and acting calm under stressful situations. No one could break you.

Within the Marines, no joke could make you crack a smile, and no torture could make you spill secrets.

Why did you want to ask if he was ok?

Koby had entered his office with bumps and bloody bruises over his face. His always neat uniform was blotchy, and he carried a first aid kit.

¨Garp-san paid a visit.¨ He sat on the couch and opened the white box, throwing everything on the coffee table. ¨I bet it wasn't like this with Tsuru-san.¨ he chuckled.

¨No. She would beat me up, wash me and hang me up to dry.¨

You shot from the chair, moving towards the clumsy pinkette, who struggled to attend to his injuries. He tried to hold the mirror with one hand and suture his gash with the other.

¨Thank yo-¨

¨Shh. Don´t move.¨

You leaned closer to have a better look, giving Koby the same chance. Your delicate perfume smelled like it was tailor-made for you. Your breathing was slightly irregular, and your lip twitched with every given stitch. Your fingers felt like feathers on his skin, so much that he didn´t even feel a sting.

The job was fast and efficient, making Koby wish Garp had put more effort into his Love Fist. Grabbing a piece of wet cotton, you cleaned the dried blood.

¨Alright...¨ you whispered.

¨Alright...¨ he whispered back.

You were inches apart from his face, your eyes traveling across the scar on his forehead, the pink locks, and kind features. Your mind traced back all the way to the Paramount War. You had very little knowledge about him, but the words he spoke that day have always made your heart pound like cannonballs.

You will make an excellent Admiral one day, Koby.

I hope you don´t hate me.

¨Y-Y/N-san...¨

¨Hm?¨

¨Your smile is beautiful.¨

¨What?¨ The stupid scene of yours was interrupted like a DJ stopping the record player.

With cheeks getting pinker than his hair, you shot up and marched back to the chair and your newspaper. ¨You clean this up.¨

He left a low chuckle out and began gathering the mess.

Oh, no, Y/N. You have got to be kidding me.

He is a freaking marine. Breathe.

There were a vast number of reasons why you couldn´t like him: from him being a Marine Captain and you being a pirate to the fact that your mission was coming to a conclusion.

Meaning that your journey as his partner would be very soon reaching its end. The meeting with this mysterious correspondent regarding the Yonkos´ operations in the New World would be the last move in this chess game. You would be going home. Mission completed. Everything perfect, right?

Right, perfect. Impeccable! Ugh!

¨This is Border Officer code 404890. Secure line confirmed.¨ you spoke with a low but clear voice through the nail transponder.

¨What´s the status on our birdie?¨

¨Positive. The birdie is located at 03:24:01.¨ you gave your boss a coordinate to the name of the Marine informant. The answer you took three years to find out remained on file number one, third page, suspect number twenty-four.

An amused laugh echoed on your end, and you buried the speaker on your jacket to muffled the sound.

¨At least he is not one of ours.¨ a chuckle ¨Great job, Y/N.¨

¨Thank you, boss.¨

¨I know this mustn't have been easy, but you were impeccable as always.¨

Yeah, impeccable.

¨You know the protocol now. We´ll see each other in a few days. You´ll have a party waiting for you, kid.¨

¨Aye, aye, boss. But I want the good booze.¨ Both of you laughed.

You finished the call, and the smile on your lips died as the image of a pink-haired boy invaded your mind. You wished he was a jerk like everybody else.

It would have been so easy.

¨Who were you talking to?¨ your chest contracted, pushing the air out of your lungs and sending extra blood supply to your muscles.

You hid the transponder into your jacket and turned, facing your Marine Captain.

¨Eavesdropping, Koby?¨

What should I do?

¨Y/N-san, who were you talking to?¨ he repeated himself, offering the benefit of the doubt. You sighed.

¨My captain.¨

Why the need to be honest with him?

¨Y/N-san, please don´t tell me-¨

¨I´m sorry, Koby. I wish I didn´t have to do this.¨ you couldn´t bring yourself to face him.

¨A-Are you a pirate? Why?¨

You chuckled ¨Why am I a pirate?¨

¨Why did you do this?¨ his face was pale, making your guts twitch in guilt.

¨I´m on a mission. But I´ll leave soon.¨

¨You are like... Vergo-san.¨ he sounded disappointed.

¨I am nothing like Vergo. You know this.¨ or at least you hoped he did.

He closed the door slowly, eyes fixed on your figure. The bright light from the window made him look like an ethereal painting.

While you tried to predict his next move, whether he was going to interrogate you or kick your ass, Koby acted calm and collected, not hesitating. He trusted his Observation Haki to guide his next move. Or maybe his heart.

You saw a pink blur closing distance like a missile, and before you could dodge, his hands pulled you by the waist, connecting your bodies and lips.

He forced your back to meet the thick window with a gasp that was muffled by the kiss. His touch was rough upon the fabric of your uniform, but his mouth felt soft against yours.

Your hands moved to his hair, removing the round pair of glasses and the green bandana so you could get lost in his locks. His grip was harsh under the fabric of your uniform, but his hair felt soft on your fingertips.

A moan escaped your lips when he parted the kiss with a loud snap and struck the glass with both hands, keeping you trapped in the middle. You let go of his hair and grabbed him by the collar, not letting him go away.

¨I am kissing you... but I am angry, Y/N-san...¨ his breath was heavy and carried with a myriad of emotions.

¨I know... I am sorry.¨

¨Why?¨

¨Because I like you, Koby. A lot.¨ he paused for a second, fighting the urge to admit the same.

¨What was your mission?¨

This is the last lie, I promise, Koby. ¨The Marines possessed vital information about something my boss wants. I needed to get it.¨

¨Now that I know that you´re a pirate and that you stole Marine´s assets, I´m gonna have to hunt you down.¨

¨I´ll be waiting for you.¨

You stared him in the eyes, and he kissed you to stop himself from saying what he really wanted.

All yttd character name meanings cause I haven't posted on here in forever, long post lolz

Most of this taken from wiki

Beware of spoilers lol, I'll add my own personal notes about the name

Sara-> Sa meaning "(silk) gauze; gossamer" and Ra means "good; pleasing; skilled".

The Hebrew meaning for Sara means "princess/noble women" which is pretty fitting as she has the highest winning rate

Chidouin-> Chi "one thousand", Dou "shrine hall" and In "institution"

Jou-> "length; height"

Note that nankidai said that Jou's name originated from the line "stand up Joe!" From the manga "Ashita no Joe"

Joe isn't really a westernized version of Jou in yttd as vgperson states that both names are used in the source material, the name Joe is used in a more causal manner.

Tazuna-> ta "rice field" zuna "rope; cable"

Kazumi-> Kazu "peace" Mi "oneself"

Mishima-> Mi "three" Shima "island"

I think the island mightve been possible referencing how Mishima would be the first protagonist of your time to shine island existence. Could be just a coincidence though

Kai-> Kai "precept"

Satou- Sa "assistant; help" and Tou "wisteria"

Note that Kai also means shellfish (hence the "kain you believe it" surrounded by shellfish in his laptop) but Kai's name uses different Kanji from the shellfish one.

Alice-> his name is most likely a reference to the band "Alice in chains", since he is a man named Alice who is in chains. The German name Alice means "noble"

Yabusame-> ya "eight", bu "currency" and same "rain"

Reko-> re "waterway" ko "child"

Yabusame-> Ya "eight" Bu "currency" and Same "rain"

Note that her name was spelled as "Reco" but since C isn't really pronounced in the Japanese language, it later on got canonized to be "Reko" and "Reco" was used for her stage name.

Nao-> na "greens" o "cord, thread"

Egokoro-> e "picture" gokoro "heart"

Kanna-> Kan "god; deity" Na "what"

Note that there's also a flower that shares the same name as her

The Development of Law and Zoro relationship: Wano, Luffy & Zoro Means Troubles…

Somehow the alliance got into Wano without enemy notice. There, Kinemon separated his allies into smaller teams, all with their own task at hand. Surprising, during the little flashback of that moment (chapter 909), Law was not seen when the samurai explained situation to Straw Hats:

Kinemon warned Straw Hats they “must pass yourselves off as locals and quietly, quietly go about your duties”. He gave pirates an individual roles:

➣ Zoro, as ronin, Usopp as street salesman and Robin, as geisha, were supposed to infiltrate capital and gather either informations or allies there

➣ Franky, as an apprentice, worked under carpenter who built Kaido’s mansion, in hopes to gain plans of enemy fortress, so the alliance could learn its arrangement before the raid.

➣ Law and Heart Pirates (as far as we were shown at that moment) stayed with samurais in the ruins of the Oden Castle in Kuri region and were stealing food and water from the enemy.

Chapter 918 notes Law was aware about Zoro’s role, however when and how he was informed is not clear. The lack of one of alliance leaders during the meeting between Kinemon and Straw Hats raises questions such as why Trafalgar wasn’t present and did samurai decide to keep knowledge about Zoro, Robin, Franky and Usopp and their tasks to themselves? On one hand, it makes sense. Secrecy was important to secure their plan as best as possible - a matter that will play a bigger role in the upcoming chapters; the less people knew what Straw Hats would be doing, the better chance to avoid information leak. But at the same time, if Law was informed about at least Zoro’s job, why not let him take part in the meeting? Unless he did learn about Zoro’s task after Pirate Hunter became an infamous wanted man, but about that more in a moment.

We may only wonder why Kinemon decided to keep Heart Pirates with himself, instead of sending them straight away undercover like Straw Hats. There are few reasons that could have influenced his decision:

➣ Law’s powers were useful for stealth and stealing.

➣ The two Supernovas serving Kaido - Hawkins Basil and X-Drake - actually came from North Blue, the same as Trafalgar. How well they knew each other is up to debate, but since all three went to the Grand Line at the same time, it makes sense they at least had some basic knowledge about each other. Which may be a reason why Law stayed with Kinemon instead of playing a similar role to Zoro.

➣ Another possibility is that Straw Hats could be simply better at pretending to be locals and/or had needed skills. In case of Zoro, the little details presented in manga and SBS suggest he grew up influenced by samurai culture due to his (still not explored) connection to the Shimetsuki clan.

Unfortunately, Zoro - working under the name of Zorojuurou - couldn’t continue his mission, because he killed a corrupt magistrate and most likely other samurais present at that time, thus became an outlaw. Since the knowledge about “murderous ronin” was spread in the whole country, it may explain why (how) Law learned about Zoro’s secret mission.

Wandering through the wasteland, Zoro met Luffy who finally arrived in Wano.

Luffy barely got to Kaido’s country and he already befriended a local little girl, Tama, who due to poisoned water, fell ill. Straw Hat decided to take her to the nearest village, to seek help. On his way, he met Zoro who at the same time just saved Tsuru (another native person) from bad guys. Soon after that both got into a fight with Basil Hawkins and the Beast Pirates.

Once they managed to run away from pursuit and got into the relatively safe Okobore Town, Straw Hats were noticed by Bepo, Sachi and Penguin, who observed the area from a nearby mountain on which Oden Castle was built.The mentioned Heart Pirates were worried that Straw Hats could start some troubles (chapter 913).

In the end, Heart Pirates decided to not interfere… at least until they saw that Zoro and Luffy were heading into Bakura Town controlled by Kaido’s men and immediately notified Law (chapter 914).

↪ Law was chilling out lying on the ground. It seems he likes resting (or maybe napping?) in his free time, what was already seen before time-skip, when Trafalgar lied on Polar Tang’s deck, using Bepo as a pillow. Maybe Law has problems with irregular sleep (or lack therefore) and/or using Ope Ope no Mi exhausted him so much that, like Zoro, he needs to regenerate his energy by napping/lying down?

↪ The same as Zoro, Law was surprised by Luffy’s presence in Wano but the similarity ends there. Zoro was delighted when he met Luffy and although he passed on the Kinemon’s warning, he wasn’t much bothered by how they together caused new trouble for the alliance. In contrast, Law wasn’t happy at all. He literally switched from chilling out into full stress/angry mode in less than a few seconds.

↪ Law immediately and correctly assumed Luffy was going to wreck the havoc. It seems the previous experiences gained in Dressrosa have already borne fruit: Luffy and Zoro together, in enemy land, were bad news.

↪ The most surprising thing about Law’s reaction is how he called both Luffy and Zoro as “those idiots”. Mainly because at first he was solely angry at Luffy and the prospect of him ruining the plan and then included Zoro as the potential danger. Which in perspective wasn't an irrational reaction and again, Dressrosa proved these two can’t be trusted with following any plan or common sense. Yet at the same time this sharp reaction gives the vibe that Law was for some reason angry at Roronoa (about that more soon). What contrasts with the good relationship they had during the previous arc.

Law wanted to minimize potential damage done by Luffy and Zoro but was delayed by Bepo, who suddenly felt sick due to eating fish from a poisoned river (chapter 916).

↪ Law here was fully aware of poisoned food and water, he even warned his crew about it. Surprising, Zoro didn’t have any idea about the ecological situation of Wano and both men spent the same amount of time in this country. Either Zoro did not listen to the warning of others OR that matter comes after he left Kinemon’s hideout. In case of latter, it may suggest there was little to no contact between Zoro and other members of the alliance once he became a wanted man. To be fair, Kinemon himself got sick after eating poisoned food, so the revelation about poison could not be known before Straw Hats went undercover.

↪ Another little detail, Bepo felt sick after eating poisoned fish. Zoro, who ate poisoned meat most likely for days, got only some stomach ache, but nothing to stop him from fighting. Law’s tolerance for such poison is unknown, mainly because Ope Ope no Mi would help him remove the toxin from body and, in contrast to Zoro and Bepo, he has knowledge and common sense to not eat poisoned things.

↪ Also, apparently Law has a soft spot for Bepo, the only animal crewmember - another trait he shares with Zoro who himself has a soft spot for Chopper. Trafalgar let Bepo’s sickness delay him when the situation was dire, knowing full well leaving Luffy and Zoro unsupervised for too long was asking for big trouble.

Once his crew member noted that Basil Hawkins was heading to Bakura Town and there already was a fire, Law was pretty shocked by the disturbing change of events.

Despite the pledging of Bepo(?) to not leave him behind, Law finally rushed into town. He didn’t have a clue what was really happening there but attacked the just arrived Hawkins in order to eliminate the threat. As in, eliminate anyone who could recognize him or Straw Hats (chapter 917).

➽ Law actually tried to be sneaky and covered his head with special headgear/straw hat to hide his identity. What suggests he was aware that Basil may recognize him and Straw Hat Supernovas. At the same time, Law is, well, really bad at playing undercover. On Dressrosa he wore jacked with CORAZON on his back alluding to late Donquixote Rosinante but that fight was personal matter and most likely wanted Doffy to know what the fight was all about. In Wano, he didn’t have that excuse; the fight with Kaido wasn’t his personal quest for vendetta. And yet Law’s idea of hiding his own identity was wearing a kimono with his Jolly Roger on it. Very smart. What may support the theory why Kinemon kept him with himself rather than sending undercover. Law is just bad at this gig and thinking more about it, I don’t remember any time when Trafalgar even bothered to try speak like people of Wano - something that Zoro and Luffy actually have adopted to some extent.

To take down another Supernova, Law needed using Ope Ope no Mi. The characteristic power and tattoos very soon betrayed his true identity. Law planned to take down Basil, so the man couldn’t report to Kaido about the Heart-Straw Hat pirate alliance. At the same time, Law put faith in Roronoa who knew the plan that he “wouldn’t be stupid enough to let Holdem get crushed” (chapter 918). What implies that despite referring to Zoro as the “idiot” and general pessimistic attitude, Law still assumed Zoro’s presence would be enough to stop Luffy before the worst could happen.

➽ Once again, Law was addressing Zoro as “Roronoa”,instead by his name. Which departs from information published in SBS vol. 72 explaining what Law calls the various members of Straw Hat crew. Back then, Zoro and Nami were the only two allies he called by first name instead of surname or nickname:

In the case of Nami (whose surname was never revealed), it makes sense to use her given name yet Zoro was the only one male ally Law addressed in such a way. Even Luffy, who from a narrative standpoint is the closest person to Trafalgar, is constantly called Straw Hat-ya. Why the special approach to Zoro and why change it right now? The most likely reason for the switch of speaking pattern was Law’s anger (but about that more in next chapter). Anyway, an interesting detail, how Law’s way to call Zoro is related to his mood and/or stress level.

➽ Law proved to be good tactician, but at the same it seems he always assume the worst scenario to happen. Which I guess is one of the main reasons Trafalgar is always so stressed? In contrast, Zoro usually takes bad news calmly - he doesn’t like them, but he has a habit of leaving things to luck/fate instead of overthinking all possible solutions and outcomes. The difference in planning (or lack therefore) could make Zoro and Law clash with each other albeit so far, we saw little to nothing in that regard.

Sadly for Law, Zoro did not stop Luffy from beating Holdem. He wasn’t happy that Luffy did it, but didn’t regret it either. Law, on other hand, was angry and/or stressed by the situation, especially when Basil admitted he already met Straw Hats.

➽ Again, Law thought about Luffy and Zoro as “those idiots”. To be fair, he had a good reason to be angry because of course, Straw Hats wrecked havoc that was reported to Jack - the Beast Pirate responsible for poisoning Mink on Zou - and in result, exposed alliance presence in Wano.

The fight between Law and Basil was then unexpectedly stopped by a speeding cart of stolen food. Stolen by no one other than Zoro and befriended samurai Kiku. Roronoa was nice enough to call the fighting men to get out of their way… once again, Law was shocked by the turn of events.

The fight between Law and Hawkins was stopped; Law didn’t manage to eliminate the enemy nor prevent information leakage about alliance presence in Wano. He almost was run over by a speeding cart with stolen food (another “crime” against Orochi & Kaido, which Straw Hats committed in his absence). No wonder why Law was so pissed of at Zoro.

Hisoka: You don’t need to recite a poem.

Azuma: Where shall we go when we arrive at our next performance destination?

Tasuku: …So we really are talking about that, huh?

Tsumugi: It’s the same as always, right?

Homare: There is a famous seafood market, so I would love to go there.

Hisoka: I wanna eat marshmallows.

Homare: You’re eating them right now, are you not?

Azuma: It looks like there’s a sweets shop in the market as well, so maybe you can go take a look there. Also… we can’t miss out on the pufferfish sashimi.

Homare: Ahh, indeed.

Guy: Pufferfish slashing?* Will you stab the pufferfish somewhere?

Hisoka: You scoop it up with your chopsticks like this.

Guy: …?

Homare: It is difficult to comprehend with your gestures alone, Hisoka-kun.

Azuma: It’s pufferfish sashimi.

Homare: It is served on a large plate, and there is also an artistic plating style called tsuru-mori**.

Guy: Ahh, in that case, I have seen it before. I see, so that is called pufferfish sashimi.

Izumi: Um, everybody? I think you know this, but absolutely no eating raw food until the show is over!

Homare: Of course we understand that much. However, wouldn’t you like to try it?

Hisoka: I think it’d be fun to order a whole pufferfish.

Guy: I admit, I am interested as well.

Azuma: If you came all the way here, then you want to eat it, right, Tsumugi?

Tsumugi: Ah, me? U-ummm… As much as I’d really love to eat it, our performances take priority, so…

Tasuku: What are you guys doing, making trouble for Tsumugi? We’re stage actors so of course we can’t.

Azuma: Fufu, my bad. I was just joking.

Homare: HAH! If raw food is no good, then how about pufferfish hotpot!

Hisoka: …Arisu hasn’t learned his lesson.

Izumi: The lead Tasuku said so too, so for now, it’s not allowed until your show is finished!

Tasuku: More importantly, weren’t we going to Ganryu Island***?

Izumi: Right. We decided to go after our rehearsal, didn’t we?

Azuma: Of course I remember that.

Guy: I wouldn’t forget.

Tsumugi: You’re surprisingly a worrywart too, huh, Tasuku?

Tasuku: Shut up. I thought you guys forgot, so I just mentioned it.

Tsumugi: Sure, sure, whatever you say. Ah, that reminds me…

Homare: What’s the matter?

Tsumugi: There’s a spot on Ganryu Island where I’d like to take a picture of Tasuku and Guy-san.

Guy: A picture? Where?

Tsumugi: Look forward to finding out when we arrive.

Tasuku: ...I have a bad feeling about this.

*So the joke here is that pufferfish sashimi is usually called "フグ刺し" (fugu sashi). "刺し" (sashi) here is short-form for "刺身" (sashimi). However, the verb "刺す" (sasu) means "to stab/pierce". So Guy misinterpreted the two. Azuma later clarifies by saying "sashimi" specifically. **"鶴盛り" (tsuru-mori) is a plating style where the pufferfish sashimi is arranged in a crane shape. Like so:
