I’ve been out of the Hazbin/Helluva fandom for a while now, (although I still lurk) but wanted to post this bc the implication that all of the overlords have to occasionally get together to have, like, group meetings and shit is so funny. Every time something from HMD comes up I wonder about Dayes and whether Granby was actually friends-friends with him or just cordial comrades by way of being first and second lieutenant on the same dragon. Would they have stayed in contact at all after the first book? Like, nobody ever tells Granby the whole of what happened with Dayes, so Granby going all ride or die for Laurence wouldn’t necessarily make him end the existing friendship, if there was one.

hear me out: divorce ceremonies. divorce cake and divorce outfits. toasts to the uncouple spoken by the Worst Man and Maid of Dishonor (gender neutral). separate piles of gifts for the freshly parted, stuff like nice sheets and Target giftcards and cookbooks. marriage gets to have all this ritual attached to it and by god divorce deserves some of that action
