when hozier said "it ain't the being alone, it ain't the empty home... it's more the being unknown, so much of the living is the being unknown" and noah kahan said "now I know your name but not who you are" and mitski said "i need somebody to remember my name after all that I can do for them is done"
Loving is to be known and one of the tragedies of heartbreak is the being unknown of becoming a stranger to someone who used to know everything about you, and the inverse where they become a stranger to you as well.
