#Dangerous rhetoric

This is why I am against these "peaceful protests" (not because they are 'pro-Palestine').
They claim to be 'anti-zionist' and not antisemitic...
But they have redefined (lied about) what Zionist and Zionism means. To be clear: Zionism, in the form supported by the majority of the Jewish people, is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their ancestral homeland. It is a decolonization movement. Jews are indigenous to the land (seriously, not going to debate this here).
These protestors on campus have also harassed, mistreated and assaulted, verbally abused, etc... ANY Jew they have crossed paths with or has tried to simply exist on the campuses - whether or not those Jews have ANY connection to Zionism or even said they are Zionists. You can't tell who a Zionist is by looking at them. So... they are simply showing they believe ALL Jews are Zionists and therefore the enemy - and acting on that. This is why we say, "When you say Zionist, you mean Jew," because the behavior and actions reflect that.
He and others have twisted Zionism into something it isn't and was never intended to be, the same way the extreme right took Socialism and twisted it into evil and connected it to Nazi Germany.
This rhetoric and narrative is dangerous and this person is spreading lies and slander... and essentially encouraging the death of others who he has now deemed worthy of death. "Zionists don't deserve to live."
He uses explosive language like "Fascists" and "Nazis" to help make this connection (which seems to be the big thing everyone does these days), to help the portrayal that Zionists are evil and deserve to die... Then goes on to say "Thank goodness I'm not a murderer." Which means he would go out and murder people if he wasn't such a great person? What? Like I should be grateful he isn't out murdering Jews?
This is so dangerous. This is dangerous language.
If we are going to hold Donald Trump accountable for how he spoke and encouraged people to be hateful and violent, then we have to hold people like this and other extreme leftists accountable for their words and the violence and hatred they foment.
And for those who say, "There are only a few incidents of antisemitism!" Oh, so we're going with the "few bad apples" argument/defense? The extreme left didn't accept (and rightfully so) that defense when it came to police brutality and racism, so why is it acceptable at your peaceful protests?
Accountability and responsibility seem to go out the wayside because they think they are right. I'm just so tired of seeing this and everyone just standing back like it is normal and acceptable because it's about Jews.

The poison of hatred towards political opponents seeps deep into the fabric of our nation, corroding the bonds that hold us together. True patriotism involves respect for differing viewpoints and a commitment to finding common ground. Let our allegiance be to unity, not division.

Just heard my mom’s news/podcast say that being LGBT is the same as being a Nazi.
And they said that any Christians that don’t speak up against LGBT and BLM aren’t real Christians bc they aren’t condemning evil!
So um… yeah!
Do with that information what you will. I’m still processing it.

"we need family abolition bc the majority of kids are abused by their family members" sorry to be a downer but that is not an issue stemming from the family model, kids are just most vulnerable to abuse from the people who have the easiest access to them and a basis of trust already established. Just look at churches, scouts, orphanages, and boarding schools. it's not a uniquely familial issue. Like, at all.
And there's unfortunately no anarchist social system that you can design to be 100% abuse proof guaranteed, it comes with the human condition of being vulnerable which is the foundation of all close social bonds.

I feel like sometimes, aro/ace/aroace positivity posts can accidentally exclude us non gold star holders, so reminder:
if you are ace and have had consensual sex in the past but don't want it anymore, you are still ace
if you are aro and have had a romantic relationship in the past but don't want one anymore, you are still aro
yes, even if the "past" was last week, yes, even if these things happened while you were already identifying as ace/aro/aroace, yes, even if you enjoyed them, yes, even if you didn't, yes, even if you're neutral, yes, even if you'd be willing to try again. (and of course, aces/aros/aroaces who still do those things/have those relationships are just as ace/aro/aroace as the rest of us)
and especially
yes, even if you are sex and/or romance repulsed now

individual stills of miguel Scampering on all fours and showing off his more distinct individual movement style (that he has because of his spider-man's Similar-but-still-distinctly-Weird-and-unique powers as compared to the more-graceful Others) so that i don't have 2 keep rewinding the clip(s) to see it. im REALLY excited to see him scuttling and skittering all over the place in the film just like he does in the comics-- and, like, seriously, Miguel Specifically being just. made Massive for some reason in his atsv design will never NOT be funny to me hes SO freakin Bouncy why did they Do That.
don't be Weird on my post or i'll kill you for real

I just really need ppl to integrate the fact that Jews being explicitly racialized and violently targeted for elimination under white supremacy is in fact the reason this is all happening to begin with so perhaps rhetoric which conflates is with the group of people who have been ethnically cleansing and genociding us for centuries is like, not the hottest thing to do idk

we should not, in fact, bring back man-hating feminism
like you can say your post isn't a safe place for radfems and terfs all you want but you specifically said we should bring back man-hating feminism
man-hating feminism hates trans women of color first and foremost.
man-hating feminism hates muslim men, trans men, intersex people. and i say this again, most of all, man-hating feminism hates trans women of color more than anyone. (more on this point)
we do not need to bring that back. the idea of bringing that back should sicken you. it should anger you. it should be unthinkable that you would support that.

genuine question, sorry if it's stupid or something
I'm all for ACAB truly, I mean that
but genuinely... if let's say someone I know goes missing or gets severely injured, what do I do instead of call the cops?
This ISN'T a stupid question at all actually this is a really common thing that comes up on both sides of the pro vs anti cop debate:
there's no good answer i can currently give you, and any answer i CAN give might not be accurate to where you live. AFAIK, in America, you can't call 911 and specifically request they don't send cops (I guess you can, but the operator doesn't have to abide by your request). In America, at least, our system just isn't set up to minimize cop interactions because cops ARE the center of the system. Telling you that you can absolutely in all circumstances get away with not interacting with cops would be irresponsible of me- you don't have to like it, I definitely don't, but until a better one is put in place we'll occasionally have to use the system to get what we want and need.
any potential 911 alternatives are generally situation specific and regional.
so, what can you do instead:
INJURY: assess. is this person already critical?
YES: you are likely going to have to bite the bullet to call 911, unless you live somewhere you can call the emergency direct to EMS.
NO: Can you move them? Can you or someone else transport them? Will they MAKE it to the hospital using these means of transportate? <- if all of these are YES, take them directly to the Emergency Room yourself and forgoe 911. If any are NO: you are likely going to need to call 911 and interact the cops that show up to save injured person.
MISSING PERSON: I don't think I can in good faith tell you that this would be a situation where you could avoid cops. It could both further any potential danger the missing individual is in, and i believe not filing a report could potentially get you yourself into trouble.
what you may be able to do instead: assess. Where SHOULD the person be? Is there any likely alternative places they could be at? can you or someone else check those places? What reason could they have to not be in the place they should be? Is this out-of-character? How long has it been since they were last seen? Do you believe they could be in danger?
Depending on the answers: First: Assuming that to classify someone as a "Missing Person", several people know their missing and not just you. if that's wrong... you should probably go tell other people. Second: I hate to say it. This is a bite-the-bullet and file a report. Third: Call applicable hotlines. Fourth: Organize search efforts. While official channels have now been used for all legal reasons, Do Not Rely On Them.
YOU ARE IN ACTIVE DANGER: Assess. Do you have the time or ability to call someone else to come help you?
YES: Make contact attempt with this person. With key words being "Active Danger", it is might probably be time to bite-the-bullet again after that. Self-Defense laws vary wildly regionally, even city-to-city, so know what yours are ahead of this. If you have to defend yourself and the offender is injured or killed, the 911 call will in most cases help you PROVE self defense.
NO: See above, minus first sentence. For clarity, I'm NOT using"Active Danger" as ye olde hostile interaction or generalized unsafe situations, but more on the lines of "active home invasion" or "person actively Trying to kill me dead right at this very second"
im not going to tell you that you should absolutely never call 911, that's incredibly irresponsible of me. im not going to tell you to let yourself or someone else die to avoid cops. in an ideal world, we would have a completely different system to use wherein "is it safer to call or to not call emergency services?" isn't a question anyone has to ask, but we don't live in that word right now. And, again and as always please feel free to add your own opinions, stances, takes, ect and to ask me to clarify things that don't make sense. This is an incredibly loaded topic that I make no claims to be an expert on, but I did answer you to the best of my current ability. I apologize for any and all clunky/awkward wordings and phrasings , and this post will probably get edited™ sometime in the future.

i've been thinking about this for two (awake) days now and i think i'll just commit to it and actually write a meta post on why—despite what everyone seems to think—crowley is not actually running away from his problems.
it's NOT his response to everything and it's NOT his preferred option, the fandom has simply taken three impactful moments and then decided that it applies to him all the time.
on top of that, we also really need to talk about the fact that a large part of this fandom degrades and criticizes leaving and glorifies staying.

omg these transmisogynistic liberals are so annoying the way they'll hear "this transfem communist likes to KILL AND EAT BABIES and is also a PEDOPHILE and also LITERALLY HITLER" and they'll be like omg i knew he—i mean they had bad vibes im glad someone is finally calling h—them out on it 😅 im such a good #transally #fuckterfs. like atp i would sincerely prefer if you were just openly a terf you do the same work as them except youre freely welcomed into "trans-friendly" spaces and won't get any pushback at all except from transfems because the mask is on and the tme "allies" dgaf. the tolerance you people have for transmisogyny just because they phrase it "politely" and say the right "progressive" phrases is genuinely disgusting, ur "allyship" to trans people and especially tma trans people is evidently completely symbolic because you have nothing against transmisogynistic actions or attitudes, only a set list of phrases that will set you off so you can performatively condemn "transphobia" while continuing to harass trans women out of your communities

It's really funny to me how Lysandre, despite being my personal WORST villain from the games until Rose came along, has somehow ended up with one of the best villain arc chapters in Masters (imo) and generally feels better handled as a character overall there, the best villain team portrayal in the manga, and the best villain arc in the anime.
This guy be winning everywhere else at least.

'Damn Nabateans, doing all that ruling and oppressing from a remote village in the mountains. Their parents aren't even from around here. Nemesis should go over there and kill them all because immortal superpowered god-kings are preferable by virtue of being the same race as me and would be easier to overthrow, despite Nemesis specifically requiring an almost sixty years long war to remove in which Nabateans played a crucial part'. Bruh what are these takes why are people like this
I can't begin to explain what the hell is wrong with all of these people coming out of the woodwork to justify the evil genocide man. While simultaneously IN-FUCKING-SISTING that they're totally definitely not justifying him (as they paint the Nabateans as evil and in need of complete removal by any means necessary)
