“When I first arrived in Los Angeles in the late 2000s, I was still vocal about my conservative beliefs. My brother and I were attending a screenwriting workshop that met weekly,” he recounted. “The man who ran the workshop noticed some conservative posts on my social media and invited us to breakfast to let us know we would be blacklisted in Hollywood if people knew we held those beliefs.”
Though Daws initially “balked” at the idea, he agreed to “go underground” with the intention of gaining influence in the industry. “Eventually I would be so successful that when I did share my true Christian and conservative beliefs, Hollywood wouldn’t be able to stop me,” he said.
His intentions changed when COVID lockdowns and the 2020 riots gripped the United States. Disney reportedly compelled its employees to attend various training sessions, where Daws recounts that he was told, “as a white, straight, male, I should be quiet and listen.” Even more so, he says he was told that “promotions would be on hold for the white men on the team” and to “start casting non-binary children for our photo and video shoots.”
“That was the last straw,” he said.
Daws had been reading the book Live Not By Lies, in which author Rod Dreher highlights the stories of Christians who resisted totalitarianism in the Soviet Union. Daws felt like he was “living every day promoting a company, a belief system, and even COVID hysteria, that I didn’t agree with.”
“I was living by lies, putting on this false exterior,” Daws said. Particularly convicted by a quote from Russian author Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn — “Let the lie come into the world, let it even triumph. But not through me.” — Daws left Disney in early 2021.
“I just couldn’t lie anymore,” he said. “I would remove myself from the equation. Living in that kind of environment is soul-crushing. I wanted to be free to express myself without fear of losing my job. I wanted to be in an environment where I could make friends who would accept me as I am, not as they demand me to be.”
Daws spent the past year and a half attending trade school and preparing to open his own machine shop. Yet he still had not announced his true reason for leaving Disney.
“I had hope in the back of my mind that if Disney ever got back to just making magic, maybe I could go back,” he said. “But the lie was still out there. There were 10 years’ worth of friends and coworkers that still believed I was one of them.”

Making this its own post to further spread the correct information.
The name Mickey Mouse is Public Domain.
Trademark is a separate thing from copyright. Trademark means you can't trick people into thinking your version of Mickey Mouse is sanctioned by Disney.
You do not need to rename Mickey Mouse to use this character.
He's literally named in the title card (along with two alternate outfits for him and Minnie that are also Public Domain, which means, yes! You can give him gloves!).
The only way the name "Mickey Mouse" would still be copyrighted would be if he hadn't been named yet in Steamboat Willie, which very clearly isn't the case, because his name is the largest thing on the title card:
Tumblr media
[ID: A screenshot from the Web Archive’s video player showing the video paused at 00:04, showing the title card that reads:
“Disney Cartoons presents A Mickey Mouse sound cartoon: Steambie Willie, A Walt Disney comic by UB Iwerks, recorded by Cinephone system, copyright MCMXXVIII”.
On either side of the text are Mickey and Minnie, smiling at eachother. Mickey is holding up a hat in one hand, and a cane in the other with a wide grin of greeting. He has a white face, a buck tooth in his open mouth, white gloves, and light grey shoes and shorts, with the shorts having dark buttons and darker vertical stripes. Minnie has her hands clasped as she smiles at Mickey with lowered eyelids in a flirting pose. She has the same hat as mickey, with a flower stick behind it. She has two circles on her chest like a bra or bow, with a polkadot skirt with a wavy edge. She is wearing light grey heels. End ID.]
There is also a public domain poster with color, which means this design is also Public Domain. And again, this one also names him Mickey Mouse -- making the name Mickey Mouse Public Domain! And this alone would have made the name Public Domain even if he hadn't been named in Steamboat Willie! And, he again has gloves!
Tumblr media
[ID: A color poster reading, "Celebrity Productions Inc. Present a Mickey Mouse Sound Cartoon. A Walt Disney comic drawn by UB Iwerks. The World's Funniest cartoon character, a sensation in sound and synchrony.". Mickey is drawn with one hand on his hip and the other in the air. He is wearing yellow gloves with a button in the center of the palm, red pants with white buttons, and large brown boots. He has a red blush on his nose and cheek. His tongue is red, and his black pupils have a white triangle on the side. The background is pale tan. End ID.]
There is also literally nothing stopping anyone from giving any of these characters new color designs with entirely new outfits. That's what the Public Domain is for. Don't think you can only use these characters in black and white, you just can't use versions that Disney still owns the copyright to.

Since I know you're the copyright guru, could you explain what aspects of Mickey are ok to use and what's no-go please? I'm seeing people argue over it when nobody really understands copyright laws.
Since I know it's specifically Mickey as seen in Steamboat Willie, so the peachy skin and detailed eyes are a no. Does this include his gloves and voice? Does personality depicted matter? Is he unable to be called "Mickey Mouse" due to the trademark? I've also heard Steamboat Willie was advertised with posters in color but can't find a source, so are his red shorts and yellow shoes also off limits?
Sorry if this is a big ask!! I just know you know your stuff here! Although I'm sure all of this will come up in court VERY soon...
It's not just Mickey seen in Steamboat Willie; it's any Mickey Mouse cartoon from 1928. According to the Copyright Law of 1976, copyright protection lasts for the life of the author plus 70 years, or for works created for hire or anonymously. Alternatively, it lasts for 95 years from the date of publication or 120 years from the date of creation. It's been 96 years since 1928, and we're officially outside the duration copyright timeframe-- which means that the following Mickey Mouse shorts go into public domain:
Plane Crazy
Gallopin' Gaucho
Steamboat Willie
and here are the appearances of Mickey in each.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So currently, the state of Public Domain Mickey does not have gloves-- but does have shoes. Also, he was not voiced in any of these cartoons, so his falsetto voice is not part of the PD character.
Tumblr media
Posters for the Gallopin' Gaucho featured him with red shorts and yellow buttons, so this part of his character is, thankfully, not subject to copyright.
Of course, these limitations only last for this year. Next year, even more of his cartoons will leave copyright protection, and more aspects of his character will be free to use... if Disney doesn't pull anything crazy. Happy new year!

Heroes vs. Villains : Octavinelle
Gender Neutral Reader x Octavinelle vs. Rielle Word Count: 1.5k
Summary: Woe to the Ramshackle Prefect, being caught up in the drama between the Disney Villains and their respective heroes. Octavinelle Version. ie. The Tweels' idea of fun is torture and an unsuspecting, red-headed, hero steps in to save the day
[PART 1] [PART 2]
Tumblr media
You were floating contentedly on a soft, yellow, raft. Enjoying the sun on your face and the gentle lap of the waves against your toes.
And then you were not.
And who was to blame for your sudden descent into the swirling, shadowed, riptides of the bay? Well, a pair of sharp smiles popping in and out of your water-logged vision was proof enough. Go swimming with Jade and Floyd, Azul had said. They’ll genuinely appreciate it, he’d said.
And what if they kill me? You’d said. Eat me? Drown me? Fill my swimsuit with sand and rocks, and then leave me at the bottom of the ocean?
Oh, they like you too much for that, he’d huffed, something sour and resigned twisting at his mouth. They may just… play with you a bit.
CLUNK CLUNK went the first of many stones as Floyd unloaded his mucky haul over your flailing shoulders. You could see the bubbles of his laughter swirling through the water, soon joined by the more subtle froth of Jade’s chuckles.
You were half-way through planning the best sermon to mortify Azul at your funeral when a strong pair of decidedly-not-eel-like arms wrapped around your torso and hauled you back to the surface.
“Are you alright?!” A pause as you hacked up a bucket’s worth of salt water all over your savior’s shoulders. “Well, clearly you’re not okay—but let’s just—I mean—I’ll take you back to shore!”
And so, you were returned to the warm, sandy, beach curtesy of a kind, sun kissed, stranger with a surprisingly good backstroke.
Once you had your feet properly back on the ground and had vomited mouthful after mouthful of murky water from your gut, you finally had a chance to observe your hero in all his glory.
He looked about your age, but there was a self-assuredness to him that would normally either speak of many years lived or many years catered to. Judging by his goofy but sugar-sweet smile and the swim trunks embroidered with what looked like actual gold threading, you were going to guess it was the latter. His eyes were as blue as the water he’d pulled you from, and lit with a mischievousness that was placid enough not to set your hackles on edge. The swoop of red hair atop his head was shockingly bright (and shockingly well styled, considering he’d also been submerged in that sticky seawater just moments before). Not even Ace’s awful mess of a hairdo could have prepared you for the blinding crimson locks curling softly against the breeze.
“Thanks,” you managed to wheeze out, hands on your knees and practically doubled over entirely. God, you were going to murder those stupid twins. Or at least dump all of Jade’s mushrooms down the toilet. And maybe get Grim to piss on Floyd’s basketball shoes if he wasn’t too much of a coward.
“Of course,” he smiled, gentle in the way that one may approach a spooked animal. Frankly it was a bit insulting, but perhaps it was just that having lived so long amidst your beloved, heathenish, classmates, politeness of any kind came across as suspect. “Do you need me to get the healer? Or—excuse me—the doctor? Yes?”
“I don’t think I’m that dead yet,” you mumbled and gave yourself a whack on the chest for good measure. “But I guess only time will tell, huh?”
Your savior looked properly startled, and you had to remind yourself once again that normal people did not laugh off horrific brushes with mortality. Normal people showed empathy, and compassion, and wouldn’t have dragged you to the bottom of the goddamn lagoon in the first place.
Sunshine-Boy shook himself out of whatever funk had swept through his brain quickly enough, and he stepped towards you with another one of those insanely luminescent smiles.
“Well, despite the unfortunate circumstances, it is my very great pleasure to meet you. My name is Rielle Tidal!” he beamed, and swooped into an odd sort of half-bow.  It looked very much like someone who’d only ever vaguely heard about the concept of a curtsy, and was trying to pull one for themselves. His lips quirked into a grin that was so wide and white it was practically seared into your retinas. “Youngest Prince of Atlantica.”
You just nodded, hoping it looked polite and not put-upon. At this point, you’d had more than enough of second princes, and crowned-princes, and so-rich-they-might-as-well-be-princes. Youngest princes probably wouldn’t be much better.
“A pleasure,” you huffed and spat a sea-soaked wad of hair from your mouth.
Rielle’s inhumanely radiant smile dimmed under your lack of enthusiasm and he tried again, shoving his hand back out for you to shake. You did, if only because his dejected expression made you feel like he’d caught you kicking puppies or something. You managed to gurgle your name out past your salt-slick tongue and the burning in your lungs. He repeated it slowly, carefully, like he was memorizing the way it felt in his mouth.
“Well then! Are you feeling a little better now?” he asked, genuine worry swimming in his blue eyes.
“I don’t think I’m drowning anymore,” you sighed, and gave one, last, proper, hack for good measure.
“That’s good at least!” he laughed. It was such a strange laugh—not in a bad way. Just… weirdly perfect. Tinkling like bells and so warm it nearly wiped away the heavy chill that had seeped into your limbs. The most perfectly-perfect laugh that you had ever head. The kind of sound that poets could write endlessly about. After spending months with people whose giggles sounded like the rumbling of chainsaws or the underscore of a horror movie, hearing something so lovely and normal was… unsettling.
Out of the corner of your eye, you saw the tops of two very familiar heads crest above the waves.
You fought the very strong urge to stick your tongue out and flip them the bird.
Rielle noticed your change in focus and his sapphire eyes tracked out to the pair of twins bobbing up and down menacingly in the water.
“Are those your friends?” he asked.
“’‘Friends’ is a strong word,” you grit out.
“Is it?” he gaped. “Oh no! I’ve been using it all the time! Do you think I’ve been upsetting people?!”
You had to physically clap your jaw closed. Was this a real person? Actually? Could a creature so pure and bubbly actually exist in the same universe where someone like Azul could charge upwards of fifteen thaumarks for a single drink?
“I’m… sure you’re fine,” you placated.
Immediately he brightened. “Oh! That’s good! So can we be friends then?”
“You want to be friends. With me?” you deadpanned, shocked.
His cheeks bloomed a lovely shade of pink that somehow managed to not clash horrendously with his bottle-red hair.
“W-Well, maybe we could—”
“Awww~” came a horribly shrill, familiar, drawl. “Did Shrimpy make a new friend, hmm?”
“Now, Prefect,” followed an even worse voice. The one that had lulled you in once-upon-a-time with its deceptive politeness and professionalism. “You of all people should know how unfair it would be to attempt expanding your social circle further. What with all your commitments.”
“Who’s gonna’ scrub dishes with me, Shrimpy?” Floyd whined, draping himself over one shoulder. “Or make sure I get to basketball practice on time?”
“And what ever would we do without the Lounge’s most beloved executive assistant?” Jade hummed, pressing himself into the other.
“Suffer,” you spat, and Jade’s pointed smirk curled into a grin so sharp that you were a bit worried you were about to lose a chunk of your arm.
“Aw, see?” Floyd cried, tugging your closer to his soaking chest. “You don’t wanna’ be friends with this lil’ Shrimp, Princey. It’s mean.”
You fought the urge to bite his fingers. Prince Rielle was taking in the entire situation with a look of abject horror. And also… recognition? You could see his blue eyes narrow, as if in deep thought. And he was looking over Floyd and Jade’s ugly, snarling, mugs like if he squinted hard enough, maybe he could figure out just what exactly these two demon spawn were meant to be.
“Anways!” Jade smiled. “We ought to be going.”
“But you’re still soaked!” Rielle objected, turning back to you with a furrowed brow. “And you almost just drowned!”
“Ah. Did you?” Jade hummed, arching a brow at you. You stomped on his foot. He didn’t react.
“At least take this,” Rielle offered, rifling around in one of the discarded tote bags in the sand to produce a giant, fluffy towel. “And, uhm, maybe this too.” He pressed something small and silver into your hands. “To help brush your hair out, at least.”
“This is a fork,” you frowned.
“It’s a dinglehopper,” he corrected, looking horribly confused. And you decided to take back all the nice things you’d been thinking about him earlier.
“Well, thank you then. I think,” you huffed, accepting the ‘dinglehopper’ with as much grace as you could.
“I’ll be seeing you!” Rielle chirped, as Jade took one arm and Floyd took the other—bodily hauling you in the other direction.
“No, I don’t think you will,” Jade beamed, looking positively venomous.

You'll See When We Get There
Tumblr media
Older Mikaelson sister reader x Hope Mikaelson
Summary: You take your little sister to the American Girl store in Houston.
Warnings: None
A/n: I've loved American Girl since I was a child and I really wanted to write this.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ever since you introduced Hope to American Girl dolls, she's loved them. You got her one for Christmas four years ago, one of the truly me ones that looks like her. And the nine-year-old is attached to it, to say the least. She takes the doll basically everywhere and plays with her with all the doll things she's gotten over the years. She also convinces you to play with her, and you love it and how her face lights up with excitement every time you agree.
She's also gotten Uncle Kol and Aunt Rebekah to play with her sometimes. And once actually got Uncle Elijah to play with her as well after a lot of begging him and you helping her until he complied.
You got her the one for Christmas because of how she loves your own Felicity doll that you got in the 90s when she came out. That's what you play with, her and your dolls together.
Hayley always smiles as she watches you and Hope play, knowing you don't have to, but you do.
It's got you thinking about how, even though she loves the dolls, she's never been to an American Girl store before. So that's how you came up with your plan to surprise your little sister.
You talked to Hayley and your dad about it, taking Hope on a road trip to Houston, Texas, and surprising her with going to the AG store. It's the closest store to you guys, so you wanted it to be a big surprise and everything. They agreed quickly, knowing Hope had been talking about wanting to go to the store for a long time.
"Hey, Hope" You smile, walking into her bedroom after setting down a bag in the doorway. She's sitting on the floor, her doll sitting in a chair, and doll food is set up on the purple table. A miniature fork in her hand, pretending to feed her.
"Hi!" She grins. You walk over and crouch down next to her. "I have a surprise for you," You tell her. "But, first you need to pack a bag."
"Why?" She asks, clearly excited about the surprise.
"We're going on a road trip, just you and me. And when we get there, you'll see the surprise" You run your hand through her hair before standing up. She follows and starts packing a bag with you.
Once you guys are finished, you zip up the yellow bag and swing it over your shoulder, picking up your own bag as well. She looks back across the room.
"Can I bring my doll?" She asks, not wanting to leave her here all alone. She knows that Mommy and Daddy will be here, and some of her aunts and uncles, but still.
"Of course you can" You nod over for her to grab her. The doll is wearing a lilac dress, with matching shoes and bandana. She lifts the doll into her arms and follows you down the stairs, into the living room.
"You guys are heading out?" Hayley asks. "Yeah, I want us to get there before dark" You answer her.
"Do you know where we're going, Mommy?" Hope looks up at Hayley.
"Sorry, baby, I can't say, it's a surprise" She kisses the nine-year-old's forehead. "Okay," She sighs dramatically, making you chuckle.
"Bye Mommy, bye Daddy" She hugs them before you guys walk out to your car. You put your guys' two bags in the trunk. There's also another bag with snacks and juice boxes you already put in the front seat beforehand.
She climbs into her booster seat and buckles herself up as you start the car.
During the almost six-hour drive to the hotel, you and Hope munched on snacks and listened to Disney music.
Once you got there, it was almost seven and you were both tired and hungry. You parked the car in the hotel parking lot.
"Okay, we're going to check in, and put our bags in the room, then we can go get dinner" You turn to look at Hope.
"Okay. Can we get pizza?" She asks. "You read my mind" you chuckle, making her smile brighten.
You guys walk down the street to a pizza factory after dropping the bags and Hope's doll in the room. She didn't want to get it dirty, so it was easy to persuade her to not bring it for once. But you didn't feel as bad since you know she'll be really happy when tomorrow comes.
"Pepperoni?" You ask her as you guys stand in line. "Mhm!" She nods in agreement. When you guys get to the front, you order a small pepperoni pizza. You take the number card for the table and sit at a booth. Your sister sitting across from you.
"Where are we?" She asks, remembering you never told her exactly where you guys are.
"We're in Texas right now, more specifically, Houston" You answer her.
"Why?" She tilts her head. "It's part of the surprise. You'll see tomorrow." You ruffle her hair.
"Where are we goin?" Hope asks. She's kneeling on the made bed facing where you're putting on your leather jacket. "Well, you'll just have to see for yourself. Let's go, shall we?"
Hope lifts her arms up for you. You walk over, lifting her up into your arms. She wraps her legs around your waist and her arms around your neck. You place a kiss on her forehead before setting her back down on the ground.
"Why don't you grab your doll and then we can go," you tell her. "Okay!" Hope exclaims, excited about getting to bring her doll along. Her feet patter against the carpeted floor and grabbed her doll from the chair that she turned into the doll's bed last night.
She comes back over to you, taking hold of your outstretched hand. You make sure the hotel door is locked before walking down to the parking lot.
You guys had the hotel breakfast earlier in the morning, pancakes, fruit, and hashbrowns.
All throughout the drive, you take notice of the excitement on Hope's face as she clutches her doll close as she looks out the window.
"Okay, we're here" You park the car, getting out of the car. Hope follows you, jumping out of her booster seat, doll clutched in her arms.
Hope holds your left hand as you lead her through the mall. She pauses, her face brightening the moment she sees it. The American Girl store. You guys are standing four feet away from the entrance, beside a display of the 90's twins.
"Well, what are you waiting for, let's head on in" You tell her ruffling her hair with your other hand.
Not wasting another second, she pulls you into the store quickly, heading right over to the display case of all the historical dolls.
As she's looking at all of them, she tilts her head and looks up at you. "Why is Felicity not here?" She points up to all the dolls. "Oh, well they retired her a while ago. Meaning they no longer sell her anymore" You explain. "Oh, that's sad," Hope says.
"Yeah, it is a bit" You squeeze her hand before she ultimately gets distracted by everything again.
Let's just say you spent a lot of money, definitely spoiling your baby sister, but who can blame you? In your defense, you've been planning this and it's not like you were setting a budget anyways. You can never tell if that's a good or bad thing.
You and Hope walk into the house, a bunch of American Girl bags full. You guys had just gotten back from another five hours on the road.
Hayley and Klaus walk into the room, their eyes immediately going to the excessive amount of red shopping bags. "Well, I see you guys had fun," Hayley says.
Hope runs over to her, "Mommy!" Hayley holds her daughter close before pulling away. "Y/n/n took us to the American Girl store and we had so much fun and there were so much things" Hope explained, energy pumping through her veins after sleeping for the last s and a half hours in the car.
As Hope continues to animatedly tell Hayley about the trip, Klaus walks over to you, hugging you.
"Do I even want to know how much money you spent?" He asks. "I wouldn't recommend it," You tell him, faux wincing.
"I have to say, you learnt well from Rebekah" Klaus shakes his head chuckling. "Well, she is the best on the subject of shopping" You lean into your father. He wraps his arm around you as you guys watch Hope open the new doll, Addy, and take her out of the box.
Some comparisons of the “Disney girls if they were the player character in a pokemon game” designs, the earliest being from 2012.
Tumblr media
Snow White - hasn’t changed much from the initial idea. For the most recent version aside from the improved colours (which really goes for all of these) I made the pocket a bit more sensible in size and less bland with the logo and changed the sleeves into something a little less costume-y looking. And apparently I had never bothered to check what her eye colour is supposed to be before?
Tumblr media
Cinderella - I think the first one is way too tomboyish for Cinderella so it was a good idea to give her a skirt instead. And stop trying to copy the hairstyle as is, how is it supposed to work anyway? The most recent version is supposed to be wearing see-through plastic sneakers which was the closest equivalent of a glass slipper I could think of, but I don’t think you can see that well enough from this far.
Tumblr media
Alice - I also like the original idea but it does look a bit too much like a costume. The more recent version is one of my favourites of the set, both with the design and how the art turned out overall.
Tumblr media
Tinkerbell - I remember being dissatisfied with the first version (mostly for being boring) and thought I should have given her shorts instead, so here is that now. The top could still use some work though.
Tumblr media
Aurora - She feels like she’s incrementally getting towards my ideal design but isn’t there quite yet. I probably should have done more with the half pink-half blue thing.
Tumblr media
Eilonwy - not a lot to work with about her, though what is up with the shoes on the middle one?
Tumblr media
Ariel - I don’t know what I was thinking with the turtleneck in the middle one, it’s supposed to be a warm weather design. Though to be fair sandals would be a better fit for that, but I like the stockings to represent her tail. Also apparently I got obscenely lazy with the shoes with the most recent one.
Tumblr media
Belle - has barely changed at all, I remember being very happy with the initial design. Though now that I think about it the bag probably should use a different shade of blue. I’ve also done an earlier design with the yellow dress, but it’s so monochrome that it’s a bit hard to work with it.
Tumblr media
Jasmine - I clearly wasn’t even trying with the first design, it’s just her canon outfit with very minor tweaks and a pokeball, and the second one isn’t any better. But to me Jasmine had one of the biggest glow ups with the most recent design and the art turned out cute as well.
Tumblr media
Pocahontas - I really like the pants and would have liked to use them again, but then I thought, “is this problematic”, and ended up not using the tassel fringe thing. Overall she was a huge struggle and I’m not happy with the result at all, Pocahontas’ canon design has a lot of elements to work with, but I tried so many versions of one sleeved/one sleeve off the shoulder/layered tops and they all looked like a dancer or a figure skater. And I also attempted a tunic-like design like Yellow but that just looked like a LoZ oc. So this design is definitely subject to change if I redo everyone again in ten years. At least her face turned out cute..
Tumblr media
Esmeralda - Another mess in both attempts, her canon design also has a lot of interesting details but somehow the best I could do with ended up being a schoolgirl? In my defense she was among the last characters I drew for this set and at that point I was just burnt out and ready to move to something else, so it was either this or not being drawn at all. Better luck next time!
Tumblr media
Megara - the first attempt is pretty random and lazy and I don’t like it at all, but I do like how the second one turned out. Overall it does skew a bit too young though especially for a character like Megara, but she’s a kid here so maybe it’s ok?
Tumblr media
Mulan - she is my favourite Disney heroine so it’s always frustrated me that I had never been able to really get the Poke design to work. But this time it somehow clicked that I could take inspiration from the male protagonists instead. I think the details could still do some workshopping but overall I like the result this time around.
Tumblr media
Jane - the first one isn’t a Poketrainer at all, it’s just a jungle explorer anime girl. Though I guess there’s not much change in the second one either...
Tumblr media
Kida - this has always been somewhat of a “just throw random ideas in there” kind of design and especially the first one I clearly had no idea what I was doing. In the most recent version I think the decision to move the mark to her hat was the best update, a facial tattoo on the supposed average kid feels kind of strange.
Tumblr media
Giselle - I really like the most recent one, it’s one of the most dynamic poses and I think it has a nice balance of “fine lady” and “going on a Pokemon adventure”. Not sure if any of them are properly recognisable as Giselle though.
Tumblr media
Tiana - as you can see I have no idea what to do with her. I don’t know what’s wrong, there’s so much to work with her canon design but nothing ever works out properly. Many of my ideas, like poofy pants (because of the dress shape) also felt too kiddy and so out of character for Tiana who is at the more mature end of Disney princesses. Still, with the most recent attempt there is a lot I like, but somehow it doesn’t quite fit together and I now notice that repeating the flower shape everywhere is pretty awkward. Sorry Tiana! Maybe fourth time is the charm.
Tumblr media
Charlotte - the first attempts feel too much like a formal party outfit instead of something for an adventure, so I had to lose the updo at least. The hat is a little silly but I figured it would fit the goofier Charlotte. I do like the bubble skirt (one of the abandoned Tiana ideas) but the top could still use some work.
Tumblr media
Rapunzel - very pleased with how the most recent one turned out apart from the hair looking a little too brown, it’s supposed to be just shading and not two-tone hair.
Tumblr media
Merida - I’ve never figured out how to do her hair in Pokemon form and her canon dress is pretty stingy with workable details. I got the idea of using plaid from Sword/Shield, but I noticed everyone and their mother already drew Merida in a plaid shirt so I put it on her shorts instead. But in hindsight maybe I should have just gone with the flow.
Vanellope - her design is really fun to work with and the result is one of my favourites. With the newer version I realised that I tend to use white a lot when I don’t know what to do, which usually is at least inoffensive, but that there could be a more interesting option if I dare to try something else (talking about the socks here).
Tumblr media
Anna - quite pleased with how the new version turned out but it could still do with some work, what was I thinking with black boots and almost-black tights?
Tumblr media
Elsa - I really like how the cardigan thing turned out, except for the fact that I realised I had already used practically the same thing for Aurora (but hers is more boring so it’s the one subject to change). Meanwhile the dress is pretty bland. The leggings use the ice type uniform design from Sword/Shield.
Tumblr media
Moana - Another victim of the “I have to churn out something” project finale. I think I already had this queued and had to go back to doing at least some fixes because the initial version was somehow even more boring. I think the loose pants idea is very workable but she’ll just need more time and effort.
Tumblr media
Raya, Mirabel - they’re too recent to have a comparison but let’s have a few words on them anyway. I just couldn’t get anything out of Raya’s design (though she was one of the last characters  to be drawn and also I really don’t like her movie so I was very much not in a mood to try very hard) so the result ended up pretty boring and definitely waiting for a redesign. As for Mirabel I like her look a lot more and especially the skirt practically designed itself, but this still kinda feels like a first draft.
Helloooo I have a Halloween request for Arthur Fleck x female reader
I was thinking it could take place on Halloween while he's working for Ha Has, so he's walking home in his clown costume not realizing it's Halloween until he's passing a house/apartment party and gets invited inside by someone assuming he's their friend who also dressed as a clown. Maybe he goes along with it because he's never been to a party he wasn't performing at, but doesn't know how to act. Maybe the host pulls him to introduce to the reader and he has to come clean that he's not the guy everyone thinks he is. And she's just really sweet relieved because she didn't like the guy she thought he was, and tells him how she's never dated so people keep trying to set her up.
So they bond at the party and meet up for coffee or something later. Bonus points if they lose their virginity to each other and fall in love.
Sorry if that's too long or not specific enough. I just like a sweet, supportive, Disney princess type girl that brings out the best in Arthur and vice versa 💞
Arthur Fleck x Reader - Sweet Halloween (contains smut)
1.
Those downtrodden streets with their faded yellow lights that made everything seem grey and bleak were familiar to Arthur. As he walked his usual route home, hands buried deep inside of his pockets, clown shoes kicking dirt and thrown-away wrappers and cans. He stared at the potholed pavement. There seemed to be more of a buzz around him, more noises. But he gave it no thought.
His Carnival costume hung loosely around him, his body too thin and too slender. He hadn’t had a good meal for the past God-knows how many weeks, and the lack of food was starting to have its effect on him. Arthur had grown easily tired and vexed and felt as if his hunger had left him completely. And so he kept his eyes pointed at the street, careful where to place his feet in case he might trip over the too-big shoes he had been too tired to swap for his ordinary pair. He would do it at home, he figured. He’d wash off the makeup there.
Being completely focused on the ground in front of his feet, he didn’t notice how he approached a house with an open door. A few young people stood on the porch, observing him as he neared. He felt their gazes, however, and made himself smaller than he was. His shoulders up high, hands even deeper inside his pockets and turned into fists – invisibly to their eyes. He tried not to draw too much attention to himself, eager to pass by without being picked on, laughed at, or even worse – beaten. He knew he was an easy target like this. And though the people he passed usually didn’t care, sometimes they would.
“Ah, there you are.” Before he had time to react, a gentle hand laid firmly upon his arm and he was ushered between the youngsters, pushed passed them, and into the house. It all happened so swiftly, that he had no idea how to react.
Soft hands pushed the small of his back, urging him into a hallway where they paused. Low thumps of music came from down the hall. There definitely was a party going on here. He tried to turn around and protest, but everything was happening way too fast.
“Josh, you can find Emma in the kitchen. She’s busy prepping the punch,” Arthur heard a female voice say from behind. It was a pleasant voice. One that sent sparks of warmth down his tummy.
He slowly turned around to face you, prepared for anything but you. A princess in every sense of the word. From your voice to your looks. You were even dressed in one of the prettiest dresses he had ever seen. Surely, if you were to come to work for Ha-Ha’s you’d be paid maximum wages. You’d have a booking every day. You-
You must be mistaken, he realized crestfallen as he watched you breathlessly. His shoulders slumped, his green eyes upon you. You didn’t want him here. You expected someone else. Some kind of Josh. What should he do? What should he do next?
There was a warm smile on your face. “Come on, let’s get going. I know you came just to see her, and I promise, no one is going to come in between the two of you tonight. This house got more than enough rooms for a bit of privacy.” You smiled at him and, once again, placed your warm hands upon him, pushing against his belly, probably to usher him in the direction of the kitchen. Then your eyes turned wide. Had you spotted he wasn’t Josh?
“Oh, gosh,” you gasped. “You really need to get some food in you. There’s some great apple and cinnamon pumpkin-shaped pies.”
So you hadn’t realized your mix-up, he thought. He followed your gaze as your eyes slid down his form. What must you be thinking of him, he wondered? This shabby clown, tired after a long day’s work. Your eyes darted lower and he followed your gaze. “Your shoes are so big. How can you walk without tripping?” The words spilled from your lips, melodious to his ears. Then your eyes sought his again. But instead of the judgment he had expected, your eyes sparked with joy and admiration. “They are amazing,” you said, warming his heart once more.
He blinked at you, confused. “I- I don’t think,” he started, voice too soft and being drowned out by the loud music that came down the hall. The realization came that you hadn’t heard him when you gave him a gentle pat on his shoulder and smiled.
“I know. Size matters! Well, you have an impressive girth,” you joked.
And then you were gone. The crowd had swallowed you, like a phantom. A ghost.
Arthur stood baffled. Had that just happened? As if in a dream, he glanced around him. The hallway was getting crowded as more people seemed to arrive at the party. He looked desperately but found no clue of you ever having been there. Had he entered the house himself? Had you been another delusion?
He leaned against a wall, his heart thumping loudly in his chest. Taking deep breaths, he tried to steady himself. Another delusion, he thought. Another dream vision.
But then, an unfamiliar girl came to stand next to him, dressed as a pirate in a very revealing short array. Her red bouncy curls danced around her when she reached up to pull him into a hug.
“Ah Josh, glad you could make it,” the girl said with a smile. Arthur could see how the lipstick on her lips cracked at the motion. “Come on over, there’s food and drinks waiting.”
Luckily, she let go when Arthur started to feel the hug was getting too suffocating, and then she gestured ahead, urging him to walk into the next room which appeared to be some kind of large hall, decorated as a ballroom. He felt the girl’s eyes upon him for a little longer, but when he glanced behind him she seemed to have turned away. He saw her at the far end of the hall. Not a vision then. But not the woman he had dreamed of either.
Carefully, Arthur, still dressed as Carnival the Clown, entered the festive hall. The chandeliers were adorned with bats and cobwebs. Tiny fake ghosts hung from the ceiling and pumpkins filled the corners, all with faces like clowns. He could not help but chuckle when he saw what a wonderful room he had walked into. Everywhere, people were dancing.
Had he held any hesitation, it vanished when he saw the pumpkin pies the princess of his dreams had told him about. They stood on a table in front of him, looking every bit as delicious as you had told. For once, he thought to himself, you deserve this. “Well,” he nasally said to himself. “I suppose one bite won’t do any harm. After all,” here he suppressed the upwelling laughter that threatened to leave his lips. “They invited me in.”
2.
The Halloween party was in full swing, the room bathed in a dim orange glow from the flickering jack-o'-lanterns lining the walls. Laughter and chatter filled the air as costumed guests mingled and danced. You expertly wove through the crowd, your body swaying to the haunting beats of the music. You were no stranger to dancing; it was an outlet that allowed you to escape the challenges of your life.
As you moved across the floor, a man dressed as a clown caught your eye. The colorful frills of his costume juxtaposed against the dark atmosphere of the party. You’d seen him before. At the time you had believed him to be Josh, that friend that Emma had invited because she wanted to date him. You knew better now. The real Josh had appeared half an hour later. It made you realize you’d invited a stranger into the house.
But this stranger, this man dressed as a clown… he was fetching. There was something about him that lured you in. Now that you knew he wasn’t Emma’s to claim, you became bolder, more daring. Moving closer to him, you deliberately started moving along with him, feeling the beat of the song resonate within you. When he noticed you, his eyes lit up like fireworks, surprise and delight radiating from his gaze.
The clown began to challenge you with his moves, his hips gyrating to the rhythm of the music. He had good moves, you noticed. Every gesture was graceful, like dancing came as natural to him as breathing. The rotating of his hips, while his eyes rested firmly upon you, was an invitation you accepted without hesitation. You danced closer, enticed by the mystery behind the painted face. His movements were fluid and surprisingly graceful, drawing you in even more.
As the song continued, you found yourselves dancing together, his arm snaking around your waist as he twirled you effortlessly. Your bodies pressed close, the heat emanating from him warming you as his scent – a mix of cologne and something uniquely his – intoxicated you. A sense of desire bubbled within you, fueled by the passion of the dance and the enigmatic connection between you two.
He twirled you around again and then pulled you in close, until your back was pressed against his front. You could feel his hot breath tickle your ear. His fingers splayed on your tummy, holding you like a lover’s embrace as you sensually pressed your hips against his. Your bodies fit together perfectly, like pieces of a puzzle, and you had to suppress a moan.
The sensation of your bodies colliding with each beat was overwhelming. The dance became a sensual exploration, your bodies speaking a language only the two of you understood. And when the song came to an end, you lamented the fact that Emma stood several feet away, beckoning you to help her bringing the snacks from the kitchen. You reluctantly pulled away, feeling the sudden absence of his warmth. "Sorry,” you whispered, unsure if he could hear you over the starting tunes of a new beat, “I need to go help a friend.”
You felt your heart pounding in your chest as you saw the Clown’s lips twitch into a smile. You assumed he had heard you, and quickly turned away, unaware of how the clown doubled over as he watched you go, grabbing his stomach as he tried to bite back the laughter that threatened to spill from his lips. He failed though, and in an attempt to escape the judging gazes from those around him, he turned around and pushed his way through the crowd.
By the time you returned with the snacks, your eyes wandered to find your mysterious dancing clown, but found no trace of him. Crestfallen, you put the snacks down on the table and scanned the room once more. Your clown seemed to have gone. But the tingling sensation deep inside of you still lingered, reminding you of the dance you had just shared.
3.
Time slipped away, the evening deepening as laughter and chatter filled the air. You found yourself wandering outside to get some fresh air. The cool night breeze was a welcome respite from the heat of the party. You’d almost given up on finding him, almost convinced yourself that it didn’t matter, that this stranger you had met was someone you would never see again. But then, there he was.
Sitting on the porch and smoking, was the clown who had captivated you earlier. The sight of him stirred something within you – curiosity, desire, and an undeniable connection that you couldn't shake. You watched him for a moment, silently admiring his enchanting silhouette. Then you stepped closer to him.
"Hey," you called out softly, drawing his attention. “Are you alone?”
His eyes widened in surprise, the cigarette between his fingers momentarily forgotten. As he looked up at you, you caught sight of his vibrantly green eyes and your heart skipped a beat. So beautiful, you thought. You felt your cheeks flush.
"You're a really good dancer," you quickly said, smiling warmly at him.
The man seemed to hesitate, staring at you like a deer caught in headlights, but he quickly recomposed himself. His shoulders relaxed again. "Oh, uh, thank you." He seemed almost embarrassed by the compliment, his cheeks flushing beneath the white face paint.
"Mind if I sit with you?" you asked, gesturing to the empty spot beside him before bunching up your skirt. If you showed him a little leg, well, that wasn’t entirely an accident. You could tell he had seen it, that he must have spotted your bare legs underneath your skirts, perhaps even the outline of your panties, for his cheeks flushed and he quickly glanced away. But you’d seen his pupils dilate.
"Of course not," he replied, snuffing out the cigarette. For a moment he stared ahead while you settled down onto the wooden steps. The warmth of his body radiated through the thin fabric of your costume, sending shivers down your spine.
“I thought I'd dreamed you up." His words caught you by surprise and you stared at him with eyes open wide. When he finally turned to lock gazes with you, his lips carried a shy smile. Almost as if he was afraid to admit it.
“Not a dream,” you assured him. "Definitely real."
For a moment, his smile broadened, an imitation of your own, and you were lost in his eyes. Their depths, their vibrancy… This man made you feel warm and alive.
But then his smile faded like snow in the sun, and he tore his eyes away from yours. Shyly, he looked down at his hands.  A deep frown appeared on his face, twisting his features. "I'm sorry,” he said, voice hardly more than a low mumble. “I’d better go.”
He shifted, jumping up to his feet without a warning, but you grasped him by the sleeve, preventing him from stepping away. He turned to look at you, surprise visible on his face.
“Why would you leave now?” you asked, confused by his sudden change in demeanor. Didn’t he feel the same? You could swear he did. You’d seen it in his eyes, how the two of you had been lost in each other’s gaze.
The clown hesitated. You could see the thoughts running wildly inside his head, the deep frown when he licked his lips before he shyly admitted, “Because I am not who you want?”
“Nobody said that,” you smiled, the grasp on his sleeve diminishing until your hand just laid gently upon his arm. There was no pressure there. If he still wanted to leave, he could.
“But I,” his voice had turned nasal, like a whine. Whatever was going through that pretty head of his was making him worried. “I know you mistook me for a friend of yours," he finally admitted, a frown still on his features.
You shook your head and smiled, your hand slipping from his arm for a moment. But he did not run away. Instead, he remained rooted to the spot, standing there, looking down at you with eyes full of uncertainty. It was obvious he wanted to stay. And you did not want him to go.
Your hand reached out once more to gently touch his arm. "I want you to stay," you whispered.
In the dim light of the Halloween-lights, you could see how his eyes widened in surprise. You felt his body grow slack underneath your hand. "All right.”
Slowly, he sat down again. His hip slotted against yours, the warmth instantly returned, making you breathe a sigh of relief. He was here again, where he needed to be.
“My name's Arthur, by the way," he hesitatingly said, as if he were shy to introduce himself to you.
"Nice to meet you, Arthur," you replied, your heart racing as you studied his face. Beneath the makeup, there was a vulnerability that drew you in. Your thoughts raced, emotions swirling as you tried to make sense of the magnetic pull between you two.
"The boy I confused you with, he is Emma’s new friend,” you confessed, your gaze drifting to the ground. "She’s always dating, never able to go without a boyfriend for long, so I hadn’t really seen him yet.”
Arthur remained silent, just watched you, his gaze enough to encourage you. “She keeps trying to set me up, but it never feels right," you quietly admitted, feeling how Arthur shifted by your side. He placed his hands in front of him, fingertips touching.
“Truth is, I've never had a boyfriend before," you continued, voice a soft whisper. You tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. “I've never even dated.”
Your eyes gently slid back to seek his. He was still looking at your face, his eyes desperately seeking yours. And when your gazes met, you could tell there was a quiet understanding in his. A deep warmth.
“How come,” he started, but had to pause to clear his throat. His voice was hoarse, filled with emotion. “How come no one ever claimed you as their own? Who wouldn’t want you?” he asked you, warming you up inside because that was a high compliment. Who wouldn’t want you? Who would? Then again, you shrugged and shook your head.
With a small smile, you looked up at him again. “It’s not fully up to them, is it?” you said, a small smile curling your lips. It took him a moment to understand what you were saying, but then his lips curled into a smile as well, the red of his makeup curling upward even more.
“You didn’t want any of them,” he concluded, and you let out a sigh of relief that he caught your meaning.
“Never really felt a click with any of them,” you admitted. Your eyes drifted down to his hands. Carefully, you sought out his hand with your own, placing your palm on top of his. He allowed you to touch him, even waited till you liked up again before he flashed you another smile. Emboldened by his reaction, you gently squeezed his hand.
"I meant what I said earlier on,” you started, shyly but suggestive. “Maybe we could, uh, find some privacy inside?" Your voice was playful, teasing. "There are plenty of rooms."
Arthur's eyes sparked with mischief as he met your boldness head-on. "I'd like that." He returned the squeeze with his hand, then carefully rose, holding your hand in his own. He waited for you to lead the way, an unspoken invitation that sent a thrill through you. With your heart pounding, you led him back into the house, your warm hands still touching. You could hear his rapid breathing and realized he was excited too.
Upon entering one of the unoccupied rooms, you closed the door behind you and locked it, your heart pounding with anticipation. The room was clean enough, pleasant enough for sure. A cream-colored bed, ordinary and plain, invited you to take this further. If Arthur hadn’t wanted to go this far, he would not have followed you in, would he? And so you turned to face Arthur, who stood there, hesitantly shifting his weight from one foot to another.
"Go on," you urged gently, "take off your costume."
He looked at you oddly, as if you had said something preposterous, but then slowly started to unbutton his waistcoat. “You want to do more than just talk,” he murmured, and you blinked at him. For a moment he had you confused.
“I mean,” you started, suddenly feeling insecure. Where you going too fast for him? Was this the right thing to do? “Only if you…”
A deep groan tore from Arthur’s lips, interrupting you before you could finish. The waistcoat slid down his shoulders and without hesitation, he started to unbutton his fly. “You think I’d say no?” his voice was husky and low, thick with arousal. Hearing it sent a spark of lust deep down your core, making your pussy slick and moist at the sound of him.
“Oh no, my beauty,” Arthur continued, the words drawn and a low hum. His hand revealed his aching cock, firmly stroking up and down the hardened flesh. “No, pretty girl, I am going to make you all mine.”
Your mouth had turned dry at the sight of him. So eager. So wanting. “You’re beautiful,” the words spilled from your lips, earning you a groan as Arthur squeezed his cock hard.
“Don’t lie to me, princess. I am not much to look at,” he grunted, moving his hand up and down his shaft. His eyes never left your frame though, silently undressing you with his gaze. “Too thin, too meager. Not much of a man at all.”
“I disagree,” you said without giving it a moment’s thought. Your hands moved up your sides, slowly peeling the dress from your body, revealing all that you had hidden beneath it. His eyes lit up at the sight of your skin, then darkened with sinful desire. "You're more handsome than you give yourself credit for, Arthur."
He blushed at your compliments, his cheeks warming beneath the fading clown makeup. Despite his thin frame, you were drawn to him, captivated by the vulnerability in his eyes. The dress pooled at your feet, and then you stood there in just your underwear. His eyes roved over you, eager to take you all in. You loved it, loved the way his eyes took you in as if he wanted to remember all of you.
"Come here," you whispered, beckoning him closer. And when he was within reach, you cradled his face in your hands, looking deeply into his eyes before pressing a sweet, lingering kiss upon his lips, uncaring of the makeup that would surely smudge your own.
When you broke apart to catch your breath, the words that escaped you were a whisper.
"I want you to be my first, Arthur."
Something seemed to shift within him then, as if your words had unlocked a hidden desire. His restraint vanished, replaced by a hungry passion that matched your own. Arthur's hands found their way to your back, pulling you closer as he returned your kisses, tracing the contours of your body.
The two of you moved together as if you were dancing again. His body fit perfectly against yours, his hands led the way. You didn’t even notice that he had led you toward the bed until you felt the back of your knees bump against the mattress. His wig cap tumbled off his head, revealing brown curls underneath. It suited him, you thought. He was gorgeous.
Another kiss as his lips met yours hungrily. His hands ran past your skin, fondling your breasts eagerly, squeezing a bit too hard but making you feel exceptionally good.
Breaking the kiss you were sharing, you murmured against his skin. "Be gentle with me."
His green eyes sparked as he lay you down on the bed. The world outside the room ceased to exist; all that mattered now was this intimate connection between you and Arthur. The way his hands ran past your body and his fingertips danced down your skin, the way his scent enveloped you entirely like an embrace, the way he sunk deep into your core, letting out a shuddering moan.
If there had been pain initially, it soon ebbed away at his gentleness. He allowed you time to adjust, panting heavily above you while his eyes sought out yours. When you felt he was able to move again you gave an encouraging nod. He followed your command without a pause, gently thrusting his hips, first shallowly but deeper and deeper as time and your body allowed.
There was an experimental thrust of his hips, followed by another moan from his lips. His eyes squeezed close and his face contorted in ecstasy. As he slowly started to pick up a pace, murmuring obscenities about how good this all was, you suddenly realized that this might be his first time as well. As your bodies entwined and he gently rocked inside of you, you arched your back, spreading your legs to give him a little more access to rock deeper inside.
Arthur bit his lip and grunted. Another thrust, this time firmer, bolder. He hit a delicious spot deep inside and your walls fluttered around him as a result. It tore another deep moan from him. Again.
“There,” you pleadingly said, “there.” He obliged, seeking the right angle and thrusting inside of you with deep strokes.
“Is that good, princess?” You heard his low voice rasp. He sounded nearly dangerous now, voice drenched with lust. “Do you like my cock deep inside your pretty little cunt?”
“Y-yes,” you stammered, hardly able to speak as pleasure overtook your body. Your pussy clenched down hard on his cock, gripping him like a vice, making him grit his teeth and groan.
“Hmm, too tight, princess,” the low murmur sounded near your ear. He was bent over you, rutting into you like a frenzied animal. You loved this wild side of him, his forceful thrusts. They helped sent you over the edge.
The intensity of your shared passion was overwhelming, yet you both navigated your newfound intimacy with care and tenderness. Your breaths mingled, hearts racing in unison as you reached the peak of your shared experience, an exhilarating crescendo that left you both breathless.
Exhausted and content, you held each other close, your body pressed against Arthur's as he cradled you in his arms. As the adrenaline subsided, you looked into each other's eyes, warmth and affection radiating between you.
"Was this…your first time too?" You gently ran a knuckle past his cheek, caressing him as you softly whispered your question.
His green eyes held yours even as he nodded, barely able to speak as he muttered, "Yes...” A pause, a bob of his throat as he swallowed. And then an admission. “I love you so much."
He buried his face against your shoulder, cradling you close to his chest. His brown curls brushed past the skin of your jaw. A smile formed on your lips as you basked in the feeling of being held in the afterglow. It felt good to be held by this man. It felt good to have been pleasured by him and to know you’d given him pleasure in turn.
You knew that something truly special had just transpired, a moment of beautiful vulnerability shared between two souls in a world where such tenderness was all too rare.
“Happy Halloween,” you whispered.
Hey Niu~ Do you have any smaller wonders you'd recommend visiting in Japan
Sure!
OSAKA
If you go to Osaka around the end of a month, there's a monthly temple flea market in the Shitennoji temple yard. It's arranged on 21st and 22nd of each month, and regular people are selling there their old stuff, as well as booths selling vintage kimonos, yukatas, haoris etc., ceramics, decorations, lots of antique items, statues etc. Take a subway to Tennoji station, the temple is next it. Read more here!
In Osaka, near Tenma JR railwaystation, is a takoyaki shop owned by an 86 year old lady called Hiroko. She's been making takoyakis for 60 years in that shop. You might have seen this image set of Hiroko giving a piece of her mind about people complaining that her food is too yellow (if not, see it - it's hilarious!) Her shop is called たこ焼き 寛子(ひろこ), Takoyaki Hiroko (Hiroko). The address is 5 Chome-6-3 Tenjinbashi, Kita Ward, Osaka, 530-0041, Japan. If you use subway, get off at Ogimatchi station to get to her store.
If you love toys and anime merch, there are two good spots for these in Osaka; one is the famous Den Den Town and other one is Kiddy Land in Umeda.
You can get to Den Den Town the easiest from Nipponbashi metro station. Just head towards south. You can also walk from Namba to Den Den Town as it's just right the next corner.
Kiddy Land is a bit harder to locate in the gigantic Hankyuu department store (which is like multiple building spreading across the whole Umeda) but you can get there the best from Umeda station. Kiddy Land has lots of toy stores, like Miffy, San-X, and a mixed store of everything cute, and also a Lego store. If you go out from the building from the door next to the Lego store, you can walk a few ten meters to a big Loft-store. It also has some merch, typically San-X and Sanrio and Disney stuff, but on the top floor of the same building there's an anime store. They sell lots of art books, replica swords and also special collectible statues like Japanese deities.
Special mentioning goes to the Namba Daiso (Namba Daiso Nansan-dori). It has 5 floors, all stuff with 100 yens. It's very near Namba metro station, easy to find! If you want to get super fancy and you've got a big budget, the Takashimaya department store is near this Daiso. You can find all kind of food items there, some with ridiculous prices. There's also Daimaru department store in Namba in close proximity - they sell fresh made taiyaki cakes in the bottom floor's food section.
KYOTO
Near Kyoto, you can find a small town of Arashiyama. It is the most well-known for its ancient wooden bridge and bamboo forests. People go just walk around into the bamboo forest. Many movies and TV series has been filmed in that forest. There's a direct train service to Arashiyama from Kyoto. Arashiyama is especially gorgeous at the end of November when the fall has arrived to Kansai area. It's apparently also super pretty during cherry flower season in spring. There are lots of temples in a small area, too, if you want to explore them.
Tumblr media
(Here's the famous bridge).
In Kyoto, there's a design shop of SOU SOU. Now, SOU SOU makes and sells handmade tabi shoes, kimonos, yukatas, string bags, dishware, and wonderful print tabi socks but they also have their own, traditional Japanese café at their Kyoto store called Sou Sou Zaifu. You can get only coffee and matcha tea here - the order is hand made in order in front of you. It's very quiet and idyllic, intimate place. I accidentally went here to find shelter from a rain and it was so lovely. Even the shop itself is worth the visit, if you're interested in fashion and design! Read more here.
Tumblr media
(Sou Sou Zaifu cafe. It seems the same guy is still working here. He was very friendly!)
TOKYO
If you travel in Tokyo, about 45 minutes by train from Tokyo is the city of Saitama. Saitama has a Sayama Hills at Tokorozama, which is also known as The Totoro Forest. Hayao Miyazaki has taken inspiration to Totoro from Sayama Hills. It was hard to find any information of this place in English (and even in Japanese!) in the past, but nowadays there's information in English. Read more here (with a Japanese map)
This Is Halloween
Lila Salt and Chloe Salt. I do not know if France celebrates Halloween or not, but this idea was too good to pass up. It is a little late for Halloween, but I still wanted to post it.
Tumblr media
"Why do you love Halloween so much, dude," Nino could not help but ask Adrien as they walked to school.
"I grew up on Disney, Nino," Adrien reminds his best friend. "They have some of the best Halloween movies outside the horror genre. Not to mention the best Halloween songs."
"You are never gonna stop loving Disney, are you, dude," Nino chuckled.
"Nope," Adrien smirked as he popped the 'P.' "And you can not blame me regarding their Halloween movies. Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, Twitches, Under Wraps, Nightmare Before Christmas, Haunted Mansion, Girl VS Monster. Nothing says Halloween, to me, like a good Disney Halloween movie!"
"You are probably the only person I have ever met who likes Halloween for the movies rather than for the candy," Nino laughed.
"Can you even imagine my dad letting me go out and get free candy," Adrien raised an eyebrow.
"That is... a very good point that I really should have seen coming," Nino said.
Adrien had taken full advantage of the fact that it was Halloween. His father could take a lot of things away from him, but it would most definitely NOT be Halloween. So, he had chosen a character from one of his favorite anime, Naruto. With his blond hair, he could not imagine being any other character. So, he was wearing the classic Naruto orange and blue jacket with a white collar, a white swirl with a tassel on the left side, and a red Uzumaki crest on the back. He also wore orange pants with a shuriken holster on his right knee, blue sandals, and a blue forehead protector.
Nino had chosen a different character. He had chosen Cyborg from the 2003 Teen Titans cartoon. Mostly because, in Nino's own words, Teen Titans Go is a crime against the Teen Titans. He, with the help of Alya and Marinette, used makeup to make the robotic half of his face. In contrast, Marinette used her fashion design skills to make more realistic-looking robotic arms and boots that did not keep him from being able to use his hands/fingers. He had already revealed his costume was approved by his little brother, which said something since Chris was a very tough critic.
Soon, the two of them walked into the school. Everyone around them was in costume, including the teachers. They made their way up to their classroom.
"Girl, how much makeup did you use," they heard Alya say as soon as they came in.
"Don't even get me started," Marinette giggled. "I will probably be in the shower all night to get this stuff off."
Looking over at the two girls, they definitely could see what the two were talking about. Marinette had decided to take advantage of her blue hair by becoming Lapis Lazuli from Steven Universe. Her entire face, as well as other visible parts of her skin, was covered with blue makeup to really make her look like the character. She used long blue gloves and blue tights to make her arms and legs also look blue along with a blue dress exactly like the one Lapis wore on the show before her look changed in the final season.
Alya, on the other hand, chose a much more simple look. She was dressed up as Valerie Gray from Danny Phantom. She was wearing a yellow camisole and orange skirt with yellow socks and white tennis shoes. She also wore an orange headband, golden earrings, an orange necklace, and two bracelets on each wrist, one golden and the other orange.
"Lookin' good, Red Huntress," Nino flirted with his girlfriend as he put his arm around her shoulders.
"Did you seriously just expose my identity," Alya faked offense at Nino 'exposing' Valerie's anti-hero identity of Red Huntress.
"Hey, if I can't hide, then neither can you," Nino countered, using the fact that Cyborg can not hide who he is to his advantage.
"I can hide," Adrien declared as he put his hands together in a 'ninja' pose. "I am from the Hidden Leaf Village, so hiding is what I do best!"
"You really love getting into character, don't you," Marinette giggled.
"I can't help it when it is something as fun as this," Adrien grinned brightly. "I love Halloween!"
"Something that has been made clear pretty much since the end of September," Nino chuckled.
"I am mostly just surprised that your dad actually allowed you out of the house while wearing that," Alya giggled.
"My dad can control me any other day of the year, but I draw the limit at Halloween," Adrien declared.
"If only you had this confidence when dealing with your father every other day of the year," Lyon said as he and Vallia walked into the classroom.
The Greek twins had also embraced the holiday.
Lyon had chosen an anime character just like Adrien. Only, he was dressed as Gray Fullbuster from Fairy Tail. He was dressed in Gray's look from the first couple of episodes. Which was a long white coat with dark blue outlines and a high collar, dark green pants, and black boots that almost reached his knees.
Vallia, on the other hand, took a more elegant approach to Halloween. She had grown up with the Rainbow Magic fairy books by Daisy Meadows. So, she chose to dress up as India the Moonstone Fairy. She let down her hair and placed a single pink rose in her hair. She also wore a strapless white dress that reached down to just above her knees. All over her dress were spots of pink and blue with another pink rose being on the top right part of her dress. She was also wearing pink ballet flats since she could not find shoes that matched the ones the fairy was wearing on the book cover. She carried a fake wand while also wearing fake fairy wings.
"You take your whole 'Ice Prince' thing to a new level, Lyon," Alya commented.
"I am icy and I know it," Lyon smirked. "Just be glad I went with the version of Gray that actually has clothes on."
"I am sure there would be a lot of people that wouldn't mind you being that version of him," Nino chuckled. "Present company included."
"I would be jealous, but it's not like I can deny it," Alya laughed.
Lyon blushed, not used to people saying stuff like that to him. Sure, he knew when people had crushes on him, especially gold-digger girls who wanted access to his and Vallia's family fortune, but not in the way their friends were currently acting. Course, he knew it was all in good fun and teasing.
"You guys are going to ruin my brother's 'Ice Prince' persona if you keep this up," Vallia tells them.
"That blush ruins it enough without us saying else," Adrien smirked.
"I hate all of you," Lyon glared at them.
"Love you too, Lyon," Marinette giggled.
The rest of the class soon came into the classroom. All of them were in costume as well.
The girls were some of the first to arrive. Juleka, to the surprise of no one, was dressed up as Wednesday Addams from the Jenna Ortega show. Complete with a fake hand on her shoulder to represent Thing. Rose, also to the surprise of no one, came dressed as Princess Peach from Mario. She even wore extensions to make her hair longer to match the character. Alix was dressed up as Lavagirl from the classic Shark Boy and Lavagirl movie. Like Marinette, she took advantage of her hair. Mylene had channeled her dad and chose to dress up like a mime. She even chose to wear a black and white wig to go with her costume. Sabrina, who had been becoming more independent, embraced her own inner anime nerd by dressing up as Misty from Pokemon. She even wore Pokeball-shaped earrings.
The boys arrived close to the girls. Ivan decided to embrace his "title" as a "gentle giant" by dressing up as another "gentle giant" from TV, DJ from Total Drama. He even had a bunny stuffed animal with him to represent the bunny DJ adopted in the first season. Max wanted to throw it back in the face of all those who call him a nerd by dressing up as Steve Urkel. He was ready to start saying "Did I do that?" Nathaniel, who was also an anime nerd, had dressed up as Kirishima from My Hero Academia. However, he chose to dress in the school uniform since he did not want to wear Kirishima's shirtless hero costume. Kim, who was not afraid to show off what he had, came in dressed as Sin Cara from the WWE. Vallia was already drooling over seeing his bare chest.
Lila and Chloe were the last to enter the classroom. Of course, Chloe was dressed up as Queen Bee. They expected nothing less from the brat. Lila, much to Adrien's disgust, was dressed as Ladybug. She was clearly still trying to keep up the lie that she was the hero's best friend.
"I'm gonna go throw up, be right back," Lyon remarked before he and Vallia went to their seats behind Juleka and Rose.
"He might blush, but he is STILL the Ice Prince," Alya remarked.
"There is no doubt about that," Nino agreed with his girlfriend.
The class had pretty much had an unspoken agreement when it came to Lila. They did not really believe that Lila was lying about everything to them like Marinette said she was, but they also did not believe Lila whenever she would say anything bad about Marinette. So, they had all come to a silent agreement to simply keep Lila and Marinette away from each other and no longer try to get Marinette to be friends with Lila.
"Oh, Marinette, what an... interesting costume," Lila tried and failed to not sound jealous of Marinette's costume.
"I wanted to use my hair to my advantage," Marinette tried to keep things casual. "Plus, Alya and I have seen this show when we are babysitting together. So, I thought it was a great idea."
"Are you not worried about taking a character from a children's show," Lila tried to sneak in an underhanded comment.
"Who cares," Marinette shrugged. "There are people of all ages that enjoy shows that are usually meant for kids. Besides, Halloween is about fun no matter who you are dressed up as."
"I know that I always want to have as much fun as possible on Halloween," Adrien stated. "And I will use all my ninja powers to make sure no one can stop me!"
"Someone enjoys getting into character," Alix snickered.
"Can you all keep it down," Juleka said in her best Wednesday voice. "I am trying to ignore the bright sun in the sky. It burns my eyes."
"There are so many reasons why I enjoy having this girl as a friend," Lyon chuckled, enjoying Juleka going full-goth.
"Friends are as pointless as daytime is," Juleka stated.
"Is it wrong that even when I know it is Juleka, she still creeps me out," Nathaniel asked.
"I am pretty sure Juleka would be insulted if you were not creeped out by her right now," Rose stated.
"Probably the only person on the planet that takes pride in creeping people out," Vallia giggled.
"I say again, so many reasons why I like her being my friend," Lyon repeated himself.
Lila's eyes visibly twitched, which would be seen by anyone who was paying attention. It was obvious that she did not like how her attempt to get under Marinette's skin had failed so quickly. Not to mention how she also lost the attention on her just as quickly.
"Well, my costume is pretty self-explanatory," Lila said. "Of course, I had to dress up as my best friend."
"Ladybug appreciates anyone that dresses like her for Halloween," Marinette tried not to call Lila out on that lie. "I know that the girl I babysit, Manon, also wanted to dress as Ladybug."
"Well, my costume was designed and made by one of the biggest fashion designers back in Italy," Lila bragged.
Lyon yawned as she talked. He and Vallia had never been the type to hide how they felt about Lila. They never believed anything she said and often made it clear how they got bored of her constant talking. Lyon had even said to her face that he would rather rip his ears off than willingly listen to her non-stop talking.
"I wish I actually had ice magic so that I could freeze her mouth shut," Lyon commented to his sister.
"Maybe if I wave my wand at her enough, a moonstone will eventually come out of nowhere and knock her out," Vallia responded.
"I would pay literally anything for that to happen," Lyon said.
"Death comes for everyone, but maybe sooner for those that deserve it more," Juleka says.
She could obviously hear them from her seat in front of them. While most of the class was trying to be neutral in the 'Lila and Marinette Drama' there were those who did know the truth. Juleka, Nathaniel, and Kim were all aware that Lila was a liar. Juleka figured it out after it was revealed that Jagged was her and Luka's father, so she had "insider" information about Jagged never having had a kitten not writing a song about anyone other than Ladybug and Penny. Nathaniel was shown that she was a liar when Marc told him that Lila tried to say that she could introduce him to Stan Lee, even though he was dead. All Kim needed was to sit down with Marinette and listen to why she believed that Lila was a liar, which Marinette told him was because there was no way that Ladybug would befriend someone who would instantly boast about it on the Ladyblog, and he believed her since he had grown up with Marinette.
"You are really enjoying your costume, aren't you," Vallia giggled.
"Enjoyment is for those that try to make up for the fact that they live sad and lonely lives," Juleka stated.
"Are we sure that she is not possessed by Wednesday Addams rather than just dressing like her," Lyon joked.
"I will never tell," Juleka said.
"At this point, I would be seriously surprised if her birthday was not Halloween, Friday the 13th, or Dia De Los Muertos," Vallia says.
Rose looked like she wanted to tell Vallia the day of Juleka's actual birthday, but she chose not to just because she liked the joke.
"I would have asked her to make your costume as well, Marinette," Lila continued talking in her fake sweet tone. "But I know you don't like me."
"Her acting is not even that good," Adrien mumbled to himself, even though Nino could hear him.
"I would have said 'no' anyway," Marinette said. "After all, since I want to be a fashion designer, it is better to get as much practice as possible as a teenager. And Halloween is the perfect excuse to practice my craft."
"And my girl's got skills," Alya gave Marinette a side hug. "She even made me these bracelets for my costume since I couldn't find any in any store I tried."
"Besides, as much as you wanted to be Ladybug, being something so... predictable has never been my style," Marinette could not but throw in her own underhanded comment. "After all, even just from those in the bakery this morning and who I saw on my way to school, so many people were dressed as Ladybug. That has never been my style."
"It's true," Kim said. "Ever since we were kids, Marinette has always had the most unique and fun costumes on Halloween. However, nothing less can be expected from someone that lives in a bakery than for them to love a holiday all about sweets."
"I remember all of her costumes," Nino says. "And they have always been awesome. During that entire werewolf and vampire craze a few years ago, Marinette went against that and dressed like a fairy princess. The complete opposite of what everyone else was going for."
"That sounds adorable," Adrien said, unknowingly making Marinette blush.
Miss.Bustier soon came into the classroom, making everyone go to their seats. Much to the surprise of everyone, she was also in a costume. They all could not help but giggle and chuckle at how Miss.Bustier was dressed up as Miss.Frizzle from The Magic School Bus. She even had a fake lizard to represent Liz.
"Good morning, class," she says. "While I am sure all of you are excited about Halloween, it is still a school day."
"Can I just say that you actually look really nice as Miss.Frizzle, Miss.Bustier," Adrien commented after he was called on.
"Thank you, Adrien," Bustier smiled at him. "I used to teach elementary and would show episodes of the show to my class. So, I thought it would be nice to experience some nostalgia from those days."
"Memories are some of the best reasons to wear costumes like that," Marinette smiled at her.
Bustier smiled at them some more before she went to start her lesson.
"Alright, class, today we are going to..." Bustier started.
A slight wave of energy washed over all of Paris. It was barely noticeable, only noticed by those who have been involved with magic in the past. Which was technically all of them since they have either been akumatized or wielded a miraculous or both.
"Take chances, make mistakes, get messy," Bustier suddenly blurted out, shocking the entire class. "I'm sorry, class. I have no idea where that came from."
"I hope any mistakes made are deadly ones," Juleka in her Wednesday tone again.
"Okay, something feels wrong," Nino groaned almost in pain as he put his hand on his head.
"I'm glad that someone else feels that way," Lyon agreed with Nino.
"Is anyone else suddenly really hot, or is it just me," Alix started using her hand as a fan to try and cool herself down.
"If anything, I'm cold," Lyon shivered a little.
"Uh... Juleka," Rose looked nervous while speaking in the higher-toned 'Peach' voice. "Is that hand supposed to be... moving?"
"WHAT!" the class all yelled at the same time, looking at Juleka immediately.
Sure enough, the "fake" hand on her shoulder was moving. It suddenly jumped off Juleka's shoulder and was "standing" in front of her on her and Rose's desk. Everyone instantly jumped and moved away from the hand.
"You guys are going to hurt Thing's feelings," Juleka said.
"Juleka, the voice was fun before, but you are starting to really freak me out," Nathaniel stated.
"I don't... I don't think I can stop," Juleka actually sounded worried even in her lower Wednesday voice.
"Guys... I think she is being serious," Rose said.
Everyone got even more worried. Something was most definitely wrong. Juleka may be quiet, but she did not have a low voice like the one she was currently speaking in. And then just to add more freakiness to the situation, the previous fake bunny that Ivan had been holding also jumped out of his arms and onto his desk.
"I, officially, am freaked out," Kim stated.
"Did you guys feel that energy from before," Marinette asked them all. "Maybe that has something to do with what's going on."
"And what is even going on, girl," Alya asked her best friend.
Marinette gave her a look that clearly was saying "Are you serious, right now?"
"An akuma, Alya," Marinette says. "You would think after all this time, you would have learned the signs of an akuma by now."
"Marinette, don't be mean to Alya," Lila had the gall to try and scold her.
"Hey, Marinette has a point," Adrien stood up for Marinette. "Hawkmoth has been sending akumas for over a year. It is pretty obvious when he is up to something."
"What type of akuma even is this," Lyon was visibly disturbed by the sight of 'Thing' still crawling around on Juleka and Rose's desk. "Does it bring inanimate objects to life?"
"I would have guessed that if not for Juleka's change in voice and Miss.Bustier's earlier shout," Marinette says.
"Vallia, what do you..." Lyon cut himself off at the sight of his sister missing from her seat. "Vallia? What in the name of the gods!"
He looked around, trying to find his sister. The others all looked under their desks and around them as well to see if Vallia had hidden somewhere in the classroom for some reason. They would have thought she climbed out the window for some reason if they had not heard a tiny voice.
"You guys might want to look up," they all heard from above them.
They all looked up and their jaws hit the floor. Flying above them was a fairy. And not just any fairy, it was Vallia.
"Someone please tell me that I am dreaming," Max stated. "Ow!"
"You're not dreaming," Kim said, having just pinched Max on his arm.
"Vallia," Lyon gasped at the sight of his sister being an actual fairy.
"Don't ask me," Vallia flew down and sat on her and Lyon's desk in front of her brother. "One second I was fine, and the next I was tiny and flying. I know I joked about wanting my want to actually be able to work earlier, but not like this."
"That's it," Nathaniel, of all people, stood up.
"What's it," Alix asked him.
"That is what the akuma does," Nathaniel says. "It doesn't bring inanimate objects to life, that wave of energy from earlier turned all of us into our costumes!"
All of them then started looking at themselves just to test if Nathaniel's theory was true. And it turned out he was right. Sabrina nearly jumped out of her skin when one of her fake Pokeballs grew larger in her hand when she pressed the button on it. Alix touched her desk and immediately had to take her hand off it because she accidentally started burning it just from her touch. Nino tapped his robotic arm and it opened up to reveal a small computer screen, just like the one Cyborg uses to communicate with his teammates on the show without the use of his Titan communicator. Max simply stood up and instantly tripped over his own feet in a classic case of Urkel clumsiness and also instantly said "Did I do that?" by pure instinct.
"How did you figure it out, Nath," Adrien asked him, curious.
"It would not be the first time I have seen this happen," Nathaniel said.
"What," everyone gasped.
"Not in reality, obviously," Nathaniel continued. "But, I've seen a lot of TV shows that have had 'turning into their costumes' as part of their Halloween specials. It was done on Fairly Odd Parents, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, The Simpsons, not to mention the iconic Haunted Mask episode of Goosebumps."
"I am suddenly so glad that you're a nerd," Alix stated.
"I'm a nerd and proud of it," Nathaniel says.
Unknown to the rest of the class, four other members were way more concerned about the current situation. Adrien, Marinette, Lyon, and Vallia all had no idea if this akuma would keep them from transforming. None of them had currently been wearing their miraculous but had also kept them on them. Giving her bag a quick look, Marinette was relieved to see Tikki was still there with the earrings. The same could be said for Adrien, who was glad that Plagg was still in his jacket pocket with the ring. Lyon looked inside his and Vallia's backpacks, glad to see their own miraculous and kwami were still there. The only problem was that Vallia was too tiny to put hers on.
"Adrien, I'm scared," Lila immediately took the opportunity to latch onto Adrien's arm.
"Then go get comfort from someone that cares," Adrien forced her arms off of him.
"You don't mean that," Lila would not take 'no' for an answer.
Adrien smirked as he decided to take advantage of his own costume transformation. He made some hand gestures and with a POOF, he was replaced by a log of wood with Lila holding onto a branch of the log. Adrien appeared behind Lyon.
"I have always wanted to do that," Adrien was actually excited.
"You are not that upset about this akuma, are you," Lyon raised an eyebrow at his friend.
"While I can not really be excited about there being an akuma, out there, I can at least have some fun with this one," Adrien smirked.
"You really are an anime geek," Lyon chuckled.
"Says the guy dressed as another anime character," Adrien threw back.
"A character that can freeze you into an ice statue, so I would watch that mouth," Lyon playfully threatened his friend.
The fact that ice was slowly spreading from where Lyon's hand was on his desk, Adrien chose not to push his luck even though he knew Lyon was only joking.
"You're a real Ice Prince, now," Vallia giggled.
"You are too tiny to make fun of me, right now," Lyon glared at her.
Vallia wisely shut up, knowing that she could easily be squished given her current size. Plus, she was not in the mood to be turned into a fairy-cicle.
Bustier ended up sighing, knowing that there was no point in trying to continue class because of what was going on. After all, how could she when she might end up taking the class on a potentially dangerous field trip because of her own costume? So, she dismissed the class and told them all to go home.
Getting out of the classroom, they saw that all the other classes had been let out as well. And everyone had been transformed into their costume the same as they had.
"Oh, crap," the four secret heroes swore at the same time.
Looking around, they could see their other friends from around the school not doing very well with their new abilities.
Aurore, who had dressed up as Stella from Winx Club, was currently trying her best not to blind anyone with her new light powers. Not to mention she could not control her wings very well. Jean, who had obviously dressed as a magician, could not stop pulling rabbits out of his hat. Plus, flowers kept popping into his hand every time he flicked his hands in the slightest way. Mirelle had dressed up as Mulan and she was now being followed by what had definitely been a fake Mushu that she had been carrying around. She also looked terrified that she was now carrying a real sword.
It was Marc who looked to be struggling the most. Mostly because the costume he chose had been outside of his comfort zone. He had dressed as a vampire. An old-school one, at that. So, now he had to hide in the shadows because the sun would literally kill him. Nathaniel immediately went over to check on his boyfriend.
"Something tells me that this is going to be one seriously crazy Halloween," Marinette says.
"My sister is literally sitting on my shoulder because she is not even six inches tall," Lyon says to her. "We are already way past crazy at this point."
"Let's just hope Ladybug, Cat Noir, Beautifly, and White Wolf can take down the akuma before chaos takes over Paris," Alya said.
"If the akuma ever shows itself," Kim muttered.
"Kim," Max slapped his best friend on his arm.
"I didn't mean that in a 'we are doomed' kind of way," Kim immediately tried to change what he had said before. "I meant it in a 'the akuma has not even really revealed itself and is already causing problems' kind of way."
"Oh," Max said, before he then tripped again, knocking down a bunch of the class like human dominos. "Did I do that?"
"I am never watching that show ever again," Sabrina stated, having been the first one Max had knocked over when he tripped.
"There is nothing to worry about," Lila bragged. "I texted Ladybug and she knows about the akuma. Or, since I now have Ladybug's powers, I could handle it if she ends up having trouble."
Those aware that she was a liar all rolled their eyes.
"Who needs Ladybug now that Queen Bee is back," Chloe boasted, obviously enjoying that her costume was made real.
Taking advantage of the chaos, Lyon, Marinette, and Adrien all did their classic "got to transform away from prying eyes" disappearing act. No one even noticed they had vanished. And even if they did, they probably thought that Marinette went home to check on her parents, Lyon and Vallia went to check on their dad, and Adrien was summoned home by his father.
Lyon hid in the empty art room and opened up his backpack to pet out his and Vallia's kwami, Flutter and Frostbite.
"Please tell us that there is a way for me to transform," Vallia immediately asked them.
"We... uh... We don't know," Flutter reluctantly admitted.
"You don't know," Lyon almost yelled.
"This has never happened before," Frostbite says. "Fairies have never been involved with the miraculous. So, there has never been a reason to see if a fairy could use a miraculous."
"Hold on," Vallia could not help but pause at what the wolf kwami had said. "Are you saying that fairies are real?"
"I don't think right now is the right time to process that," Lyon tells his tiny sister.
"Fine," Vallia got back on topic. "Do you think it could work if I basically stood inside of my bracelet almost as if it was a very large dress?"
"There have been many situations the miraculous face faced, but never anything like this," Flutter said. "While there have been times when our holders have been shrunk, but that was also a time when they were still wearing the miraculous, so it was shrunk along with them."
"I do believe that this is what you humans would call an uncanny valley situation," Frostbite says.
"At least you have been slowly learning about modern language," Lyon said. "And yet, I still feel the urge to keep you away from the internet."
"That is something more for what Plagg's holder should do," Frostbite says.
"The more we learn about Plagg, the more I feel pity for Cat Noir," Lyon stated.
And speaking of Cat Noir, Adrien had hidden in the locker room to talk to Plagg to see if the transformation would affect him as Cat Noir.
"So, there will be some type of effect my current situation will have on me being Cat Noir," Adrien wanted some clarification from Plagg.
"I have had holders in the past who have had their own powers," Plagg reveals. "When they use the miraculous, their powers would get enhanced. So you, ninja boy, will be given a boost when you transform."
"I know I should feel this way, but I think this is my favorite akuma," Adrien says.
"It would have been a lot better if you had been dressed as someone that could summon cheese by their will," Plagg adorably pouted.
"As I told you when I was choosing my costume, there is no such character that can do that," Adrien could not help but roll his eyes.
"And I said before, that should be considered a crime," Plagg stated.
"You are a smelly cheese gremlin and not even you can deny that," Adrien tells him.
"It's not my fault that you do not know how to appreciate proper smelly and delectable cheese," Plagg adorably crossed in arms in stubbornness.
Adrien rolled his eyes as he put his ring back on.
With Marinette and Tikki, they were having a similar conversation that Adrien and Plagg were having. Marinette had also been concerned if her costume would interfere with being Ladybug.
"If anything, this could help you defeat the akuma more easily," Tikki tried to soothe her panicking holder.
"But I don't even know where to begin with these powers," Marinette was once again in full panic mode. "Lapis is one of the most powerful characters in Steven Universe with her ability to bend water to her will. I can't learn to control such a powerful ability this quickly."
"You are going to have to, Marinette," Tikki says. "So far, everyone is still acting like themselves. But, it is only a matter of time before your costumes start influencing your personalities as well."
"You think that will happen," Marinette was now even more concerned.
"I may have never experienced anything exactly like this before, but there have been things like this," Tikki explained. "There is a magical Native American mask that a tribe once used to turn into animals to fight in wars by wearing animal skins and then using the mask's magic on themselves. Only, once they were turned, they also acted like animals rather than simply turning into them."
"Great, just great," Marinette facepalmed.
"While I am not sure that will happen this time, we still need to find and defeat this akuma as quickly as possible," Tikki advised.
"The one time that Kim was right about something, it had to be that the akuma has not shown up, yet," Marinette groaned.
"I am sure the akuma will show up sooner or later, Marinette," Tikki tells her.
"Let's hope for sooner with this one," Marinette said.
And then, as if summoned by her desire, the sky started to darken. Given that Aurore had been transformed into a fairy, they knew it was not Stormy Weather. It seems that Marinette's "Ladybug Luck" was working in her favor this time.
"Well, you got what you wanted, Marinette," Tikki said.
Soon, they heard a voice shouting from outside. Even for akumas that have nothing to do with the school, they would still find ways to come to the school. There was a reason why Dupont had gained the reputation as the "Akuma School." However, there were literally no students who would argue with that title for the school. Especially since Chloe had been the cause of a majority of the akumas created, with a lot of them happening because of things she had done at school. Such as when she had locked Juleka in the bathroom, called Ivan a monster, and ripped up Rose's letter to Prince Ali.
"I am the Pumpkin King," shouted out a male voice, but also sounded very young at the same time. "If others want to make fun of me for being scared of Halloween, then I will be the one to make THEM scared!"
The heroes all looked out of the rooms they had hidden in. They saw the akuma riding on what was obviously supposed to be a witch's broom right over the school courtyard.
"That name is definitely a Nightmare Before Christmas reference," Lyon said.
"Hawkmoth is pushing the limits when comes to a potential copyright lawsuit," Vallia says.
Pumpkin King was definitely a young boy. They could only guess that he was about seven or eight years old. His looks were also inspired by the main character of Nightmare Before Christmas, Jack. He was dressed in a pitch-black suit but with some visible spider web designs on it. There was also a mini skull in the middle of his bowtie. He also had black boots on. His head looked a lot like a skeleton skull because of the white and black makeup. Over his eyes was a pumpkin-designed mask with a pumpkin-themed witch hat on his head. It was like he was the child of Jack Skellington and a witch.
"Someone please tell me that Chloe did not make fun of a little kid and got him akumatized," Adrien basically was pleading with the universe.
"What makes you think she was the cause of this one," Plagg asked his holder.
"Why else would an akuma come straight to the school," Adrien looked very done with the number of akumas his childhood friend caused.
"There, there," Plagg tried and failed to be a comforting kwami.
All of the heroes were about to transform when they, unfortunately, heard a very familiar voice. And they could also feel headaches forming.
"You came to the wrong place, you utterly ridiculous villain," Chloe said in the most pompous voice possible. "Queen Bee is back and I am the only hero that Paris needs!"
"Delusional, party of one," Aurore called out.
That got a lot of laughs, even though there was an akuma right there. Given that the entire school hated Chloe, they could not help but laugh whenever anyone would make fun of her.
"Nobody cares about Queen Bee, Chloe," Alya yelled at her.
"You were never a hero," Kim shouted at her.
"Get out of here and let the actual heroes come and fight the akuma," Aurore called out again.
"You are all ridiculous, utterly ridiculous," Chloe huffed at what everyone was shouting at her. "You don't deserve to have the help of the amazing Queen Bee."
"More like Queen Brat," shouted another student.
The akuma was floating on his broom, watching everything that was going down. The look on his face was definitely saying that he was thinking something like "Did they forget I am even here?" However, he did have to admit that it was very entertaining to watch most of the school gang up against a very obvious spoiled brat.
"Only this school could be so against Chloe that they forget about the akuma that is right in front of them," Lyon sighed.
"It should really say something about a group of people if they can so easily forget about an akuma," Vallia said.
The akuma, tired of being ignored, decided he was not going to take it.
"Maybe this should teach you not to ignore and akuma," he shouted.
He held out his hand and shadows seemed to fall from his fingers. Once the shadows landed on the ground, they formed into classic Halloween monsters. Vampires, werewolves, mummies, witches, and many others. All the students started to back away from the creatures.
"This isn't good," Marinette gasped.
"You need to transform, Marinette," Tikki tells her, urgency in her voice.
"Tikki! Spots..." but hearing a voice stopped her from finishing her transformation phrase.
"Hey, Skeleton Boy," Alya's voice was heard. "You do realize that you made a big mistake, right?"
"Excuse me," Pumpkin King glared at her.
"Oh, Alya," Marinette facepalmed. "One of these days, she is going to give me a heart attack."
"You may have transformed us into our costumes, but maybe you should have also added some mine control when you did that," Alya smirked.
Suddenly, she changed. Since she had been transformed into Valerie Gray, that meant she also had Valere's Red Huntress suit. So, with a small swirl of energy, the red and black mechanical suit appeared on her body. Complete with the red and black hoverboard under her feet.
Within seconds, Alya flew right at the summoned monsters. Wrist blasters came out of her armor at the wrists, obviously, and she started shooting at them. She looked to be having a lot of fun.
"Why am I not surprised Alya is the first to go on the offensive," Tikki giggled.
"There is a reason why I wanted Alya to be given the bee miraculous while fighting Style Queen," Marinette tells the kwami. "As great as she is as Rena Rouge, Alya is more headstrong and straightforward. So, she is better with a miraculous where she can fight head-on rather than staying back to cast an illusion."
"We still need to transform, Marinette," Tikki reminds her.
"Right, Tikki," Marinette nodded.
As much as Adrien, Lyon, and Vallia were all enjoying the sight of Alya using her costume to her advantage, they knew they had to transform as well. Quickly ducking back into their hiding places, they put on their miraculous and said their transformation phrases.
"Tikki! Spots on!"
"Plagg! Claws out!"
"Frostbite! Freeze over!"
Lyon almost went "Awwwwww" as he saw his sister pouting from where she was sitting. It was obvious that she would not be able to transform because of her new fairy form. Lyon had to admit she was very adorable as a pouting fairy.
The heroes all had to sneak out of the windows in the rooms they had been hiding in. That way, they could make it look like they arrived normally rather than having obviously come from somewhere inside the school. It was a lot of work, but hiding their identities was very important. They were glad that when they "arrived" at the school, a lot of students followed Alya's lead. They went on the attack.
Alya looked to be having the time of her life being Red Huntress. If she was not blasting vampires with her wrist blasters, she was dropping energy bombs onto groups of werewolves. All with a smile on her face. Nino was backing his girlfriend up using his new Cyborg strength. And if she needed a more powerful helping hand, he was more than happy to use his sonic cannon. Kim actually provided some great backup by using his new wrestler moves. There was a reason why Sin Cara was one of the best wrestlers in the WWE. Because he had skills.
And to the surprise of most of them, another one of the best fighters turned out to be Juleka. Since he had chosen the version of Wednesday from the Jenna Ortega show, it meant she was incredibly skilled at fencing. So, she had grabbed two swords from the gym supplies and was using them to be a terrifying force of fierceness. Mirelle joined her, using her new skills that came from being turned into Mulan. Not to mention she had her own backup in the form of the fake Mushu that had been brought to life. That tiny dragon could be very scary once it lets loose its fire breath. Aurore also let loose her new fairy magic. Being the fairy of the shining sun was actually the best member of the Winx that she could have been for the situation that was happening. Especially given that they were fighting literal creatures of the night. Marc did have to avoid her powers as he and Nathaniel fought side by side. The boyfriends were already partners while working on their hero comic, but they were now crime-fighting partners as well.
There were still some students who were not very helpful since their costumes were not of characters that had powers. Such as Mylene, whose mime costume only meant that she had lost her voice and had basically been turned into the stereotype of French mimes that others like to make fun of. Ivan was also not very helpful given that DJ was known for being quite the loveable coward on Total Drama. With Rose, it was pretty easy to see why she was not very helpful. After all, Princess Peach was known for being a damsel in distress.
The three heroes all landed next to each other on the school's roof.
"Well, it looks like we have more help than we usually do," Cat Noir immediately said.
"We're going to need it," White Wolf stated.
"That have to do with the reason why Beautifly is not here," Ladybug asked him.
The icy hero nodded. "Her costume was that of a fairy, so she shrank too much for her miraculous to be able to work with her."
"I am never looking at Halloween in the same way ever again," Ladybug sighed.
"Speak for yourself," Cat Noir grinned brightly. "I am still going to love this holiday no matter what."
"As an almost literal black cat, I am not surprised that you love... Ladybug, are you blue," White Wolf cut off his statement to ask the question.
"I will be honest and say that I only noticed that when you brought it up," Cat Noir's eyes widened at the sight of Ladybug's blue skin.
Ladybug sighed. "My friends and I had chosen to do a combined theme for our costumes. We all wanted to basically turn into human versions of the elements. I was water."
"You had a much more creative costume than me," Cat Noir chuckled. "I just dressed as a ninja."
"I was my own original character that I called the Ice Prince," White Wolf shrugged.
The other two heroes raised an eyebrow.
"Isn't that a bit of a hint to you being White Wolf," Ladybug asked him.
"Hiding in plain sight is the best way to hide my identity," White Wolf tells them. "After all, no one would think an ice hero would dress up in an icy costume."
"Got to admit, it is clever," Cat Noir says.
The three of them then jumped into battle. They head right for Pumpkin King. He barely was able to dodge them since they had caught him by surprise.
"So, you have finally shown up," he says to them. "Give me your miraculous or Paris will be known as the City of Nightmares instead of the City of Love!"
"I have a better idea," Cat Noir smirked. "How about you give us your akumatized object before we unleash a can of butt-kick on you!"
"I think this is a better idea," Pumpkin King glared at them. "Get them!"
Some of his creatures that had not been fighting the students all charged at the three heroes. White Wolf simply yawned as he touched his hand to the floor. Instantly, ice covered the ground. It caused the monsters to slip and side right into a wall.
"You, ghouls, should learn how to be careful," the icy hero snickered. "Icy roads ahead."
"How did you do that," Pumpkin King yelled. "You did not even say your superpower activation phrase!"
"I didn't have to," White Wolf smirked. "My costume had been a character with ice powers. Your powers are the reason for my little upgrade."
The look on the villain's face was priceless.
"Yeah, neither you nor Hawkmoth thought things through when it came to your powers," Cat Noir laughed.
He did a few hand gestures and in the blink of an eye, multiple versions of him appeared around the villain. And all of them looked just as cheeky as the original.
"And we are more than happy to use our new ninja powers to our advantage," they all said at the same time.
They all attacked the Halloween villain at the same time. Even though he had the advantage of being able to fly because of his broom, Pumpkin King was learning that flight was not the big advantage he thought that it was. After all, with a dozen Cat Noirs attacking him at the same time, it would only be a matter of luck and time before one of them would be able to get a hit in.
And it soon came to pass when he had to dive down to avoid one group of Cat Noirs, but that sent him right into the path of two more. Using their staffs, they were able to knock him off his broom. They all smirked as they looked at the downed villain.
"He is really enjoying himself," White Wolf said.
"He is such an anime nerd," Ladybug playfully rolled her eyes.
"Or, just a nerd in general," White Wolf chuckled.
The Cat Noir copies then all vanished, leaving only the original.
"I am going to miss that for after you cast the cure, M'Lady," he said.
Ladybug opened her mouth to answer, only to be distracted for a second. A few vampires tried to attack her, which forced her to use her new powers. She held out her hands, which unleashed a strong blast of water. It sent the vampires flying back into another wall.
"I have to admit that it would be nice to still have these powers," Ladybug admitted. "If only I did not have to be blue."
Thinking that the broom Pumpkin King had been riding on had to be his akumatized object, Cat Noir picked it up from where it had landed on the ground. He was about to say his power activation word when someone else said theirs first.
"Venom," Chloe shouted.
Her hand lit up as she activated her paralyzing power. Only, she did not go for the akuma, she went for Cat Noir. If it had not been for the quick action of Ladybug using her yo-yo to pull Cat Noir away from her, she would have been able to get him with her power.
"Chloe, what in the name of the gods are you doing," White Wolf yelled at her.
He notched an arrow into his bow and aimed it at her. He was not going to let her come close to them.
"You can't do this to me," Chloe screamed at the heroes.
"Do what to you," Cat Noir raised an eyebrow. "We are just defeating an akuma as we usually do."
"You took Queen Bee away from me once," Chloe continued to yell. "I will not let you do it to me again!"
"You are willing to let an akuma stay out just so that you can continue to pretend to be a hero," White Wolf glared at her.
"I was a GREAT hero," Chloe protested White Wolf saying that she had only been pretending to be a hero. "It's not my fault you were utterly ridiculous enough to take MY miraculous from me."
"It was not YOUR miraculous," Ladybug yelled back. "It was NEVER yours. It did NOT belong to you!"
"It was MINE," Chloe denied Ladybug saying that the bee miraculous was not yours.
"Just because you want it, doesn't make it yours," Cat Noir glared at the brat. "And it was long overdue for someone to not give into your spoiled brat attitude."
"If Beautifly and I had been here from the start, we would have dealt with her long before she had a chance to be such a dangerous fake hero," White Wolf growled.
"How dare you," Chloe screamed.
She tried to use her Venom on him, only for him to easily dodge her by gliding on the ice still on the floor. He barely even looked like he cared that she was attacking him, which only made her even angrier. After all, someone like Chloe basically lives off of others paying attention to her. So, White Wolf basically dismissing her only served to piss her off. Not that he cared.
"I think he might actually be enjoying this," Cat Noir commented to Ladybug.
"If there is one thing we are well aware of when it comes to White Wolf, he takes no nonsense from anyone," Ladybug said. "Especially Chloe."
"So, you think you should call your lucky charm," Cat Noir asked her. "We might not need it for Pumpkin King, but that is how you cast the cure."
"You have a point," Ladybug says. "Lucky charm!"
She threw up her yo-yo in order to summon her charm. When it came down, it was revealed to be a replica of her magical yo-yo.
"Huh," Cat Noir looked at the replica. "I feel like that is a message."
"For what is the real question," Ladybug said.
"Well, it certainly isn't for this brat," White Wolf says as he continues to easily dodge Chloe's strikes. "I have her handled."
"You will pay for disrespecting the most amazing person in all of Paris," Chloe screamed at him.
"When did that happen," White Wolf tauntingly raised an eyebrow. "You are the one I am disrespecting and you are the WORST person in all of Paris.
That really pissed Chloe off. She charged at him again, only for the icy hero to simply step to the side and then put his foot out. He tripped her, which caused her to slide down a path of ice he made. She crashed into the janitor's closet. The door was closed by Juleka.
"Sweet revenge," Juleka smirked, still talking in her low Wednesday voice.
"I knew there was a reason why I liked that girl," White Wolf chuckled.
But while they were dealing with Chloe and Pumpkin King was still knocked out from the multiple Cat Noir attacks, the heroes did not notice someone else sneaking near them. Someone who was also holding something red and black ladybug-themed. The person threw it at the heroes, specifically Ladybug. But, she did not count on Cat Noir's new ninja reflexes.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the object heading right for them. His eyes widened when he noticed it was a ladybug-themed grenade. He quickly took action by throwing his baton, which easily met its mark because his ninja skills combined with his cat eyes made him a very good shot. After all, ninjas had to be very good at throwing things because of their use of throwing stars.
The grenade was knocked back to the person who threw it. It exploded but was thankfully not a firey type of explosive. It exploded with what they thought was red and black glue/paint. The scream that followed the explosion told them who had thrown it.
"Well, now the lucky charm makes sense," Ladybug said as she saw Lila covered in the sticky paint.
"I guess means we are finally done, then," Cat Noir says. "Let's actually finish this. Cataclysm!"
The broom that was still in his hand crumbled to dust. The purple butterfly flew out of the dust.
"No more evil-doing for you, little akuma," Ladybug opened her yo-yo and captured the akuma. "Time to de-evilize! Bye, bye, little butterfly."
She opened her yo-yo and freed the now-white butterfly. She then threw up the lucky charm yo-yo while shouting "Miraculous Ladybug!" to cast the cure. It washed over Paris which turned everyone back to normal while also getting rid of all the creatures Pumpkin King had summoned. He was also turned back to normal.
However, one person was strangely not completely cured by the magic. Even after the ladybugs washed over the school, Lila was still covered in her sabotage attempt.
"I am seriously not surprised," White Wolf commented.
"Lila... you tried to sabotage Ladybug and the other heroes," Alya was the first of the students to come over. "Why... Why would you do that?"
Normally, Lila would have tried to lie while also throwing in her typical crocodile tears as well. But, this time, she was too angry to do that.
"What did you do to me, Lady Brat," Lila yelled at Ladybug. "Look at me! You did this to me!"
"You did it to yourself, Lila," Cat Noir crossed his arms. "I always knew you would make a mistake one of these days and it looks like karma has finally come to collect your debt."
"What... What do you mean," Rose stuttered as she asked.
"He means that Lila is finally experiencing the consequences of her actions," White Wolf says. "Something she has previously been able to escape because of her lying skills."
"L...Lying," Mylene stuttered.
Ladybug sighed. "I did not want it to come out this way, but it is true. Lila, there, has been nothing but a liar ever since she came to Paris. Especially since after what you have all just witnessed, it is obvious that she is NOT my best friend."
"But... But you never said anything," Alya looked at her phone, obviously looking at her blog.
"I never said anything because I wanted you to come to me," Ladybug tells the blogger. "Alya, you can become an amazing reporter someday, but you need to learn to not take things at face value. I did not come to you because you should have come to me in order to fact-check what Lila was saying. Clearly, I had too much faith in you. Maybe after this, you will learn to be careful about who you trust."
Ladybug was not that upset with Alya, especially since Alya had stopped trying to get her and Lila to become "friends." But, she still wanted Alya to learn about these things in case anyone else tried something like Lila had. Lying about being friends with a hero to gain attention.
"I think a lot of people learned a very good lesson today," White Wolf stated, smirking at Lila while she glared at the heroes.
"If I was in Harry Potter, this would be my Patronus memory," Cat Noir snickered while also looking at Lila.
"Bug out," Ladybug says.
The heroes then all left. Slowly, the students returned to their classes. The battle had not been that long, so they did still have to return to class.
"Hello," Chloe yelled from the janitor's closet. "Hello! Get me out of this filthy place! I demand it! Let me out right now! This is ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!"
No one heard her. And even if they did, they wouldn't care.
The opulence of the 1950s gave way to the structured, office wear inspired clothing of the 1960s with structured pinafores and tailored trousers for both boys and girls. It wasn't all serious, however; the 1960s birthed an explosion of colour with vibrant magentas, vivid teals and sunny yellows gaining popularity in children's clothing.
By the 1970s, this colour explosion began to die out in favour of more muted browns, oranges and greens. Flared trousers were in vogue for boys and girls as clothing began to become more unisex, though pinafores and dresses remained popular for little girls.
Children's clothing in the 1980s can only be described using one word: zany. Bold colours and even bolder patterns gained popularity: they featured in everything from matching sweatsuits to fanny packs. Acid washed jeans along with converse high-tops became staples for girls and boys.
The 1990s took the casual style of the '80s further. Boys' clothing was baggy in fit, ranging from comfortable tracksuits to relaxed cargos. For girls, this was largely similar although there was an emergence of "preppy" fashion in the mid 90s. Pleated plaid skirts and button up shirts rose in popularity accessorised with knee high socks.
Y2K saw the emergence of a celebrity culture that remains today. Children, particularly girls, wanted to dress like their favourite tv characters so the bright and often excessive outfits feature on tv channels like disney and nickelodeon were emulated. For boys, skater culture was on the rise so baggy cargos, t-shirts and polos were staples.
By 2010, the extravagance of y2k petered out replaced with preppy, "business casual" inspired outfits. Kidswear began to emerge as a legitimate field in fashion and designers did their best to combine comfort with style sometimes leading to disastrous combinations such as hoodies paired with blazers.
The widespread usage of social media in the 2020s has led to what some call "the disappearance of the awkward phase". Children's wear is often times indistinguishable from adults just like in the 19th century, however, now comfort is very much prioritised. This decade has seen the resurgence of many styles of previous decades: oversized sweatshirts and hoodies paired with flared or baggy jeans are popular along with shoes like uggs and crocs.
Okay so I’ve never played any Kingdom Hearts games and I’ve only watched the first 2 hours of a play through of the first game.
I’m gonna list everything I know through just internet osmosis. So tell me how off the mark I am on some of this (If I spell names wrong I’m sorry and be nice please)
Sora, Riku, and Kari(?), have all grown up together and play on this island with no parents in sight or a house or anything but island kids running around (do they have parents and houses to go home to? Or is this just Peter Pan style island of lost kids)
They want to leave the island and go on an adventure together
Kari just kinda showed up one day
Sora has a crush on Kari but has not a lot of interactions with her but is constantly talking about Riku and chasing after him
Kari I’m sorry sweetie as far as I can tell you’re the old trope of “this is girl character who is girl and main love interest that will spend 99% of the plot damsel’d and doing nothing -probably knocked out- and the last 1% she spends reassuring the main male lead in some way and has no personality outside of that” (this could be radically different in the games and she actually has a personality that doesn’t revolve around the main lead Sora needing to rescue her but all of the scenes I’ve seen from the games she’s either just standing there or is knocked out)
Riku and Sora have so mush chemistry people are convinced they are in love (to be fair every thing I’ve seen from the games has them constantly obsessing over each other more so than anyone else. Half their lines seem to be each others names. So yeah big rainbow energy coming off of them)
Also don’t they like combine swords or something into a big weapon… 👀🏳️‍🌈
Isn’t there matching wedding rings for Sora and Rikus swords cause if so that’s cute
Main game plot point is Sora, Goofy and Donald jumping around in a Gummy Ship?? to all the different Disney properties and movies and these are all treated like different worlds (is Star Wars in there now cause that’s a galaxy in and of itself, how does that work????)
Donald was dunked on for years as a terrible healer until he nuked a guy and the internet went insane over it
Micky Mouse is a king
Idk where the fuck Minnie is or Daisy
This is all connected to Final Fantasy games somehow. Cloud and Sephiroth(??) are connected to this (I have not played the Final Fantasy games either so idk what this means. I know it’s the same developers but haven’t they been in the KH games??)
The Halloween Town designs are cool looking
Sora gets a wardrobe change per world (species change for little mermaid?? And maybe others??)
Why his shoes too big lookin for his feet
Heartless are little shadow guys that are made from people having their heart/soul ripped out
There’s basically an apocalypse on every world cause of these heartless little creatures (but only main characters seem to notice them??? Everyone else going about their day which is a mood)
The Pirates of the Caribbean one is hyper realistic but Sora still looks like anime guy which is weird
Maleficent is keeps being a boss bitch but still dies for it
Doors and keys are super important
Sora and Riku have heartless but theirs get people forms but they don’t look like who they come from that shit is reversed for some reason
There’s like 3-4 just for Sora and none of them look like him
Riku got a stalker in some guy named Xnort(???how spell???) who possesses Riku at some point
This Xnort little old ass seems to have a habit of this possession thing and uses time travel?? to just keep possessing people
Eyes turn yellow when he does
He started a war for a specific heart??
Keyblade War (no idea what this is or means I just know it’s a thing)
There’s another trio that timeline wise came before the OG trio from the first game that was in the war
Xnort got the buff guy one, the other guy is in Sora but not?? turned into sparkles and possessed Sora but also didn’t, and the blue haired girl is out here working the hardest but she on a deserted island in the void
Micky also ends up chilling with her there at some point
Woody roasts a guy
How the fuck does the Toy Story world work if there’s people and sentient toys???? Why does Sora become a toy there if he a people
Sora wasn’t supposed to wield the keyblade Riku was but his dumbass got corrupted so Sora got it (?)
Riku got another one
I think everyone has kinda died at some point but they all got better
Sora got trapped in dream world by blonde Kari that drew pictures about it
Blonde Kari isn’t evil she was just chilling with a comatose Sora
Riku went through a lot to get his boyfriend back
There’s an organization that’s connected to Xnort guy that wears black robes
There is another set of Riku, Sora and Kari copies there
The third Kari black haired goes out Master Oogway style but with glitter
There’s a red haired guy there that talks big shit but is constantly getting his ass kicked
There are so many spin-off games that have a lot of lore in them and the titles only make sense to people deep in the fandom trenches and lore
Those titles got fractions and shit in them
The Disney princesses played a major role at some point but idk if that’s still a thing
Those stain glass window levels are gorgeous
Sora is a people pleaser who dies for it
But unlike everyone else getting better from it, as he also has in the past, Sora is now gone gone but also not and next game may be in basically purgatory which is kinda our world (so many jokes there)
Riku gonna be on quest 2 of save his boyfriend and is sad now cause of it
Poor Riku he went through his emo phase in the first game and now his punishment for it is running after and saving a serial self sacrificing people pleaser that can’t say no and who keeps dieing from it
Let me know if I was close at all to being right about some things and what I got wrong.
