Generally speaking, your parents often owe you a lot more than you're taught to believe. A lot of people are raised to believe that parents do not really owe you that much beyond food and shelter and that's not true. In fact, you can have parents who give you food, shelter, patience and kindness and STILL deserve more from them.

By being your parents, they've accepted a very special relationship and amount of responsibility for you. Do you know how many people I know whose parents have never genuinely apologized to them? How many people’s parents physically hurt them, how many people’s parents mock their insecurities, how many people’s parents don’t care for their children’s health, how many parents make their children (intentionally or otherwise) want to die? 

And so many people don’t give a fuck. We’re raised in cultures that more often than not treat us to respect our parents in spite of most anything while also teaching everyone that children don’t deserve shit. It varies but its so common that lots of people don’t even think twice about it. 

But children DO deserve more than they’re generally given. So much more! And so many things that are literally just abusive are considered normal parenting all around the world and that’s vile, especially considering children are the most severely affected by this and have no “societal power” to wield to put a stop to it beyond what they can scramble together through a combination of sheer determination, shock value, strength and fucking luck. 

Not to sound radical, but I think we owe children a fuck ton more than they’re being given now and I think people need to learn so much more about abuse and how that ties into the common underplaying of what we’re owed in parent/child relationships.

It always pisses me off when I say my grandma was murdered and the minute people hear it was done by medical professionals, they no longer give a fuck. Not as in they don't care she's dead, but as in they believe it was just an accident, or it was inevitable because she was older, or it was her fault because she was mentally ill. Its as if murder via medical professionals/our healthcare system is invalid, people are just act like she fucking died-as if her life wasn't fucking stolen. Y'all don't know how common this shit is and I've seen it happen numerous times over, as well as seeing numerous attempts and its such a heavy weight to carry.

People act like I'm exaggerating or just shouldn't speak of it, because it reflects badly on our medical system and especially as someone who's mentally ill, someone who's crippled, its terrifying to see how easily it is for medical professionals to murder people like me and for us to just disappear as they go on living their life like nothing happened, watching eugenics play out right in front of you. And how the fuck are you even supposed to grieve when your loved one's death is "invalid" in people's eyes and you're not even supposed to discuss it? its a mess.

holly lewis is a character i made for a sburb rp thing im doing with a few friends (that i dont think i can explain on much. id like to keep the inner ideas and plans private at least ^^)

shes kind of like the sessions counterpart to jade? but also not really. i just really like characters that are silly and sparse-headed, but also very on the techy sci-fi side of things ,which contributed a lot for the thing, since everyone else went for more casual suburban type kids lal. i could talk more about her specific interests and all that, what i plan to do for her path in the rp and more of that, but also a bit of it is under the dms control and i dont know yet... so we'll see. i also have a private mirror of it that i can post here someday, but that i'll need to check for, permission and all that

if all goes well ill post more about her here, shes a character i like a lot and intend to do some fun stuff with. but thats all i can say at least, h

thinking about ship names and like... what if we as a fandom tried to come up with artsy names for aa ships? like, for instance, there's a whole set of tf2 ship names that are artsy that aren't the two names smashed together, like Heavy x Medic has "red oktoberfest", which (iirc) the "red" is for Heavy, because he's Russian, and "oktoberfest" for Medic, because he's German, or Sniper x Scout, which has "speeding bullet", "speeding" because Scout's ability is speed, and "bullet" because Sniper is, well, a sniper

so you see what I mean? a short phrase that encompasses the two characters that's artsy and cool? with that in mind, what could we make for various aa ships? mutuals and followers (and whoever else finds this) submit your suggestions (ships to submit suggestions for could be wrightworth, klapollo, blackbright, aurametis, junithena to name a few I like, or submit one of your other ships!)

remembering trauma makes me feel like an injured animal. I'm all scratched up and wounded, curled up in a ditch as the fight trickles out of my body. I feel all alone and scared.

Even as I've begun healing I still feel like that animal. Still hurt, wounded, bloodied, and a little scared. But now I'm crawling out of that ditch. I don't want to die here, I refuse to die here. I'm gonna get out of this, and when I do, I'll maul the hand that beat me.

So apparently, when prompted by the teacher to tell the 9th grade pre-ib people what the program was like. uhm. one of my classmates, originally intending to tell them something positive. but uh. heard another of my classmates tell the teacher not to encourage him. But. He heard "them" imstead of "him" and thought my other classmate was telling him not to encourage the pre-ib students??? Anyways he told them they would wanna kill themselves.

Got stung by a bee for the first time in 2 decades. Didn’t cry. I feel like I deserve a medal or something. A sticker. A pat on the back. I don’t know.
