Expo 72
Expo 72 was deeply enriched by the influential presence of Billy Graham, a revered Christian evangelist. His pivotal role in both organizing and actively participating in the event added a profound layer to the spiritual fabric of the gathering. Graham's inspirational messages resonated deeply, seamlessly weaving into the essence of worship, prayer, and teachings that defined Expo 72. #Expo72

You could read these first (Deku), and (Dynamight) before this post for it to make sense since it's different timelines and are connected to each other post-wise. It is not necessary to do so.
_____
After a year had passed, everyone within the hero community wasn’t blind to the famous 3 graduates from U.A. A fanfiction writer and their work was trending online throughout all social media platforms. The fanfiction, with the expectation of changing their names, got published for a limited amount of physical copy without the author's permission.
The root of it becoming a trending topic was curiosity and, most of all, sadness because a crowd of fans harassed the author to where the writer had to delete their account with a massive collection of fanart over the years.
There was a panel at the Hero Expo with those same three heroes who were trending the year prior. Instead, it was during the Halloween month. The Expo requested for them to dress up as a special event for the fans.
Pro Hero Shoto pays a special tribute to the book “The Demon Prince.” He was wearing special effect makeup, showing the demonic form of the curse on the left side of his face up to his ear. He used one of the many arts of Demon Prince that was circulating the media by the same author as a reference for what he wanted.
When asked if the inspiration came from a famous book that everyone knows about, even when the author deleted their accounts. It’s well-known within the fanbase of all three.
He didn’t lie about it, because he got inspiration from it. He even expressed that he did truly enjoy the book and would still occasionally read it again whenever he could.
Another fan asked a question related to the author to everyone in the panel, which contained Pro heroes Dynamight, Deku, and Shoto.
“What would be the thing you guys would like to say or ask to the author of this book?”
It was a different response from the heroes, but all were on the same page.
If the author wishes for those books to become an officially published book. They were all willing to fund it if it was a financial issue. They all loved their book individually and would love to read more from them.
The clip of the panel was circulated throughout the media by fans. Some fans were hoping it would reach the author, who deleted their account more than a year ago.
It did reach.
Within 72 hours, the author had created a new account and provided evidence that they were, in fact, the author of “The Demon Prince, The Dragon King, The Mage.”
The author answered the hero's questions related to their books. The tweet goes viral and reposted. There are an enormous amount of times when the fans were tagged on the heroes' official accounts for them to see it.
There was art in chibi figures of the heroes underneath the thread of answers to their questions. The chibis resemble what they were wearing in the panel this weekend at the Hero Expo, including the special effect makeup on Shoto and Dynamight.

What are these blanket things covering these "updated" Russian tanks and IFVs? Are any of these upgraded versions any better at surviving the battlefield in Ukraine?

Those blanket things are thermal blankets, meant to disguise a tank's thermal signature in IR view. Other than that, these are pretty bone standard, being a: (from left to right, moving down)

I feel so much better today, already; the research I did yesterday said it would take about 24 to 72 hours for the Levothyroxine to clear my system if it wasn't an ER-Necessary overdose (it wasn't). And so far it seems like it'll take about 48-ish for full recovery.
Already I'm able to get up a lot easier. My pain is back down to a 4 or 5 and my body (especially my joints) aren't in searing pain anymore. Plus I can get up the stairs on my own, and eat on my own again; I'm even wearing my hearing aids and sitting back in my computer chair again for a bit.
If I continue recovering at this rate, I may actually be able to go out to the plant sale tomorrow morning like we'd initially planned- although the Cannabis and Tattoo Expo we'd also planned on is definitely going to be out of the question; I don't want to push myself. If I'm still feeling okay after the Plant Sale, though, we may stop in at the new Goodwill that just opened up and see what they have ... And Sunday, if I'm still doing okay, we may go check out the Flea Market for a little bit. But that may be asking too much. We'll see, though.
Today, however, the goal is to try and get up the energy to eventually get my Esbat stuff done; I've been slacking on celebrating them the last few months and today it seems more important than ever to pay attention, settle in, and actually do it. So that means I have a cleansing bath to take, my Full Moon Divination pull to do, and I need to remake the Water for my Blessing of the Head rituals- at minimum.

FAN EXPO Chicago Celebrates 50 Years Of All Things Fandom With The World’s Greatest Comic Creators
Tumblr media
Fifty years ago, fandom was changed forever when Nostalgia ‘72 took over the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont Illinois, creating the first space in the midwest for fans to gather and celebrate comics. Now known as FAN EXPO Chicago, the convention will return for its biggest show yet - bringing an incredible round-up of legendary celebrities, comic creators, voice actors and cosplayers to the Windy City from July 7 to July 10.
To celebrate the golden anniversary, FAN EXPO Chicago has assembled an incredible roster of superstar comic artists and writers, headlined by legends Brian Michael Bendis (writer, creator of “Naomi”), Geoff Johns (writer, creator of “Stargirl”), Joe Quesada (CCO, Marvel Entertainment) Greg Capullo (“Batman”), Marc Silvestri (celebrating 30 years of Image Comics), Kevin Smith (“Daredevil”), Leinil Francis Yu (“X-Men”), Jorge Molina (“Batman”) and dozens of others.
In 1972, Chicago collectibles dealer and local school teacher Nancy Warner made history when she united 2,000 of Chicago’s biggest comic fans in the midwest’s first ever comic and collectibles convention. Beginning as a space by and for comic collectors, and expanding to include exhibits, attractions and celebrities from all walks of fandom, what is now known as FAN EXPO Chicago is gearing up for its biggest year ever - while paying homage to the traditional comic culture that started it all.
“While the phrase ‘comic con’ continues to grow in popularity with convention groups throughout the world, it sometimes feels like those groups have left the actual comics in the dust,” said Andrew Moyes, vice president of FAN EXPO HQ. “Fandom culture is more than just blockbuster movies - it’s a deep loyalty to and appreciation of the classics and a celebration of the everlasting impact those comics, characters and creators have had on each of us. At FAN EXPO Chicago, we’re working to take the fan experience to new levels, while also staying true to the root of who we - and our guests - are.”
Other standout creators attending include Zeb Wells (“Amazing Spider-Man"), Jock (“Batman: One Dark Knight”), Steve McNiven (“Star Wars”), Jose Luis Garcia Lopez (legendary artist, “Batman vs Hulk”), Dike Ruan (“Shang-Chi”), Michael Golden (legendary artist, "Batman,” “Daredevil”), David Mack (“Kabuki,” “Jessica Jones”, Ben Templesmith (“Wormwood,” “30 Days of Night” and Tony Harris (“Starman,” Ex Machina”). See the full creator list and keep an eye out for more additions at https://fanexpohq.com/fanexpochicago/comic-creators/.
Comic fans will particularly revel in the special Comic Guest VIP packages just announced featuring Heroes in the Windy City, Jock, Silvestri, McNiven and more. See the full list at https://fanexpohq.com/fanexpochicago/comic-guest-special-event-packages.
In addition, superstar celebrities will reunite, including “the Hobbits” of the iconic Lord of the Rings trilogy (Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd), Stargirl’s Brec Bassinger, The Book Of Boba Fett’s Ming-Na Wen and stars from The Mandalorian, Jay and Silent Bob, Clerks, Cobra Kai, Star Trek, as well as a stacked roster of voice actors includes Futurama’s Billy West, Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ Ashley Eckstein and the hottest leads from My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer. With additional guests and attractions representing dozens of the greatest franchises across genres and decades, the massive lineup will create the ultimate playground for fans of comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, gaming and more.
FAN EXPO Chicago will host attractions for fans of all ages and fandoms, including panels, autograph sessions, photo-ops and meet-and-greets and retailers and artists from all over the world selling unique merchandise, artwork, memorabilia, comic books and collectables. Exclusives for FAN EXPO Chicago include DC Batman #251 Special Chicago Edition, 50th Fan Expo Chicago exclusive/limited edition: bag, t-shirt, pin and many others.
FAN EXPO Chicago will take place from July 7 until July 10 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. The show will be open from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets start at $22 and can be purchased at www.fanexpohq.com/fanexpochicago/buy-tickets/. For more information and to stay up-to-date on new guests and attractions, visit www.fanexpohq.com/fanexpochicago.

RUN4U #934 Marginal gains but at what price...
With the London Marathon less than 72 hours away the annual ‘expo’ that accompanies the process of bib collection is in full swing. Ever since I started running in 2017 the annual visit to the expo (either as a marathon participant or just a shopper) has been a firm date in the diary. Until this year. Without consciously thinking about it I’ve no plans to visit in 2024 and my credit card has…

NVIDIA unveils Blackwell architecture to power next GenAI wave
.pp-multiple-authors-boxes-wrapper display:none; img width:100%;
NVIDIA has announced its next-generation Blackwell GPU architecture, designed to usher in a new era of accelerated computing and enable organisations to build and run real-time generative AI on trillion-parameter large language models.
The Blackwell platform promises up to 25 times lower cost and energy consumption compared to its predecessor: the Hopper architecture. Named after pioneering mathematician and statistician David Harold Blackwell, the new GPU architecture introduces six transformative technologies.
“Generative AI is the defining technology of our time. Blackwell is the engine to power this new industrial revolution,” said Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “Working with the most dynamic companies in the world, we will realise the promise of AI for every industry.”
The key innovations in Blackwell include the world’s most powerful chip with 208 billion transistors, a second-generation Transformer Engine to support double the compute and model sizes, fifth-generation NVLink interconnect for high-speed multi-GPU communication, and advanced engines for reliability, security, and data decompression.
Central to Blackwell is the NVIDIA GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchip, which combines two B200 Tensor Core GPUs with a Grace CPU over an ultra-fast 900GB/s NVLink interconnect.

Bangkok Post   Read the full article

SAMEDI 30 SEPTEMBRE 2023 (Billet 1 / 3)
