Sketch doodles of Red Queen and Fairytale Island King.

I’m going to try to work on the king more in my style at some point because he’s the king of fairytales right? Or at least of the island?

I was thinking of making his design more cloud-like in a way. Because the islanders have happy endings and living their dreams, you know? So like, fluffy clouds and more like night elements. Stuff like that. I’ll definitely need to work on it.

For the red queen (my beloved), at least the younger version, I kind of wanted to mirror a little bit of baron’s design by having the armor be a more greenish color (until Rumpel inevitably ruins the color completely for her). The colors are definitely a work in progress I just wanted to test it out. But I do like to imagine that the red queen used to act somewhat like Baron when she was younger. Yeah, I based the design more off the statue we see of her in the treasure room. Oh, and I gave her red hair. It’s pink when she’s older because that’s her graying hair.

This is just me trying to put my ideas down in case I forget. I just love these two.

I think the problem with the Red Queen is that she’s treated as a real, imminent threat in the game but she is only found in the side quests. Unless you’re Daphne Dreadnaught, you are NOT going to be popular/regarded as such if you’re not the villain of an island

She’s a cool concept, but she should have been part of the (very brief) actual Fairy Tale Island story. Would have made things slightly more interesting

I still have absolutely no idea why Fairytale Island turned out the way it did, with how short it was and the weird extensions to the story that... I guess tried to make up for how short and disappointing the actual island was.

And now I have a vendetta against anything associated with Fairytale Island.

Doodles of Rumpel because the magic man is rotating in my head again. Besides, he is kinda fun to draw!

He gives me a similar reaction I have to Binary Bard of I like him, but I want to spike him into the pavement and see if he bounces. Like, both kidnap princesses, both disguise themselves as royals, both were imprisoned by royals, both tricking the player, both causing havoc in kingdoms, etc.

Only the consequences for all of this hasn’t caught up to Rumpel yet. But when they do, I’m so excited to watch him fall (affectionate).

Anyway, I love how he falls over dramatically after his name is said three times. SO! Based on that, I headcanon that he’s very expressive with his motions, like stomping his foot and the end of his tail poofing out when agitated (which can be seen like twice in the doodles) and creating small sparkles around himself which can be done consciously or subconsciously. And yeah.

Also he has to be careful with his tail because he has definitely stomped on it on multiple occasions accidentally.
