this idea came to my mind after playing paper Mario 64 I really loved the story so much and the star rod concept hehe I didn’t know the Mario series games also had it same with the starship from Kirby I found out till recently xD💫I have some headcanons about some events of Paper Mario 64 in mind read if you like to😆 after Bowser stole the star rod, all the stars, star spirits, including Geno (his real name is ♡♪!? ) everyone’s power in Star Road has weakened which explains why Geno wasn’t adventuring with Mario in 64 I wish he did join with Mario tho would’ve been so cool ;w; even though Bowser and Geno are friends in Mario RPG. Geno doesn’t even allow Bowser to even set foot in Shooting Star Summit (he’s still mad at Bowser for turning his star spirit friendos into playing cards. Bowser thinks this is funny tho xD)

The novelisation of the Phantom Menace has made me so incredibly sad, where little Anakin sees an injured Tusken and decides to disobey Watto to sit by the Raider until he wakes up. Anakin has such a deep, loving heart that he was willing to suffer the consequences of disobedience to make sure a Tusken Raider would be safe, a being he was taught all his life were brutal and cruel. And in this chapter, Anakin admits that the only thing that truly scares him, is of losing his mother. That juxtaposition, that note of I will care for this creature to I fear losing my mother, put so much more weight onto AOTC, and of Anakin's rage. He broke, and he lost himself to his rage. When faced with what he did, he rages against the world and his actions, before breaking down into further sobs at the loss of his mother and the actions he made. His worst fear was realised, and he became the monster that everyone claimed the Tuskens to be.

It'll be interesting to read the AOTC novelisation, to see if this scene is ever called back to. I just find it interesting, and further showcases the depths of Anakin's feelings and compassion, as well as the pitfalls that such strong emotions come with. For if you feel compassion and love as deeply as Anakin does, so will you feel the destructive nature of all of your rage. And that, that is Anakin's biggest weakness; he feels too strongly to ever truly control it.

The start of MiniMegs, which has been building in the background.

Rodimus's six months depressive isolation moment that no one talked about in which he worked solely from his bedroom is interupted not by his corpse but within a month of departing Cybertron they get hailed by the Peaceful Tyranny and he, Megatron, and Ultra Magnus are freaking out preparing for a fight staging the landing platform like a fre for all battle like they did with Overlord.

Only instead of fighting, Tarn and the DJD in a synchronized and definitely practiced movement (except the small blue Minibot, that's new who is slightly slower) drop to one knee in front of him, declaring they are here to follow their Lords example and wise words and as he has seen fit to seek out the Knights of Cybertron to seek their Wisdom in judging him and that these mechanisms are apparently worthy of sharing in his journey they will of course escort him and the Lost Light while learning from his and the Autobots assembled here, clearly the best of the best of they are escorting their Lord, how to move on and make Peace not War.

It is clearly very rehearsed, incredibly theatrical like something from a period drama and both not at all what anyone was expecting and very damning for Megatron who is supposed to be person non grata to Decepticons now. So he doing some quick mental gymnastics on how to handle this and reject them without setting anyone off when Rodimus comes barrelling forward having smelled weakness, missing his own former Decepticon, senses they are sincere if definitely shady (his exact type), and having not slept since Cybertron.

He graciously excepts citing that they aren't the first former Decepticons or neutral agents on the ship, but, of course, the ship is under Autobot Law and they would need to pass the same test any defector passes to prove they can do it and then looks at Ultra Magnus, who is horrified but automatically starts citing requirements to qualify.

Which Tarn counters quickly, offering up datapads and citing lines within the Tyrest Accord that legalize his Squad under Decepticon Law, offer some intel, and is confident they can pass the test which UM is familiar with given he'd worked within it before as both sides were under the TA.

What follows is a very tense hour of the DJD sitting taking the Autobot SATs while everyone stands their tense. Every comment, including Helex singing a stufy song under his breath and Vos muttering to himself, or movement, Teserus counting with his fingers as he figure out and answer and Tarn tapping to the rhythm of their theme song, makes everyone flinch.

(This is of course after Whirl mutters, "You're fucking joking." When Magnus brought out the test papers.

Tailgate meanwhile is sympathizing with Helex's struggle on Question 17 with Cyclonus noting the song would have been useful to learn.)

Finally they pass and are tenporarily shown to their ship to wait while its graded and a surprise Command Meeting ensues.

MiniMegs are actually yelling and arguing because Ultra Magnus is utterly convinced this is a plot against them as he doesn't trust Megatron yet and Megatron is defending himself trying to explain the DJD are genuinely just like that and overzealous while Rodimus watches the ping pong conversation with relish and then grinning asks if they passed.

Ultra Magnus, through clenched teeth admits, "Yes. And Tarn's essay on certain elements was particularly inspired, especially the portion on self-identification and removal of leftover protofunctionalist language I will be quoting to the board as he has eloquently risen concerns I have attempted to cite before. Nickel, the Minibot, has also supplied a scathing essay on bodily autonomy not being accurately covered that I will be asking be submitted to the Medical Board."

Megatron doesn't quite understand UM ironclad rules are rules and attempts to convince, all silver words and charm, them to allow him a moment to persuade the DJD to leave but then UM locks down that they are required to accept anyone requesting asylum and as they have passed they are considered proto-Autobots and will need to be assessed by Rung and mentored.

They follow procedure unlike some.

(Ultra Magnus's bitterness over Drift and Megatron's inclusion in their ranks does in fact come from a place of them not having gone through proper onboarding.)

Thus they start at each other's throats.

And then Nickel mentions the Autobot they "found" and everything goes even more tits up because that's Minimus's perfect big brother.

Cur bluescreen.

Poor Megatron is wondering how he'll explain so hard that this isn't some plot of his to start the war again when Roddie just damn swoops in like a Lightning McQueen flavored phoenix.

Tarn held so many study sessions to prepare for the autobot test, damn I'm actually wondering how good of a study buddy he would be because you're certainly gonna learn the topic.

Ohhh Mags, Megs... You two are gonna be dragged under just like the rest of us— no mech will be unaffected by the end of this lmao.

Everyone is bluescreening and Tarn and Roddie are sitting in in the corner making goo goo optics at each other

As someone who was active when rod was just coming out. It’s hilarious to see it’s a beloved book now. The amount of VITRIOL at the book and hate at the writers was craaaaazy back then.

hot rod breaks open the 1st period with a doozy of a bat shot. cats score the 1st goal of the game off a hell of an effort from both forsy and erod

the most amazing part of it is seeing how his awareness and patience work in real-time to make it possible for him to 1. find the puck as it pinged off into the air and 2. despite being in the crease surrounded by forbort carlo to still wait long enough for the puck to drop below shoulder height so the bruins bench had no conceivable way to challenge it (refs did indeed wave it as a good goal all the way through) (boston did not challenge)

I do and it's because I am dramatic as shit, and I will ALWAYS cause issues for my characters if I can, ilysm, thank y'all for indulging me

A warning: i am very touch-and-go with DA lore much like its writers

So first of all I fuckin can't decide on a name for my Adaar, and honestly that might be fitting for her character in a way bc she has identity issues out her asshole. I'm stuck between the base "Hera"(yes I removed the h, idgaf) or Nyx, as those were both the names i used when I was doing my playthroughs.

She absolutely grew up in the Qun, and was likely to become a Tamassran once she reached the proper age, except her magic manifested while she was quite young (10). Unfortunately for Adaar, she's branded a Saarebas and quickly measured for a collar.

It was with the help and insistence of the Tamassran who raised her that she was able to escape Par Vollen and avoid the shackled and miserable servitude of a Saarebas. Hidden amidst a small group of fellow dissenters, this group of Tal Vashoth fled to Orlais and essentially became a "family" in the way a Qunari would understand it.

Her band merged with the Valo-kas mercenaries, and from there she was raised as a battle mage, favoring electricity and essentially powers that would be refined into those of a Knight-Enchanter once she became Inquisitor.

Adaar always believed magic should be free, as the barbaric practices of the Qun on mages is why she fled in the first place. She is, however, not ignorant, and fully aware of the dangers magic poses.

And maybe that's why she's in fact not ignorant, but fucking stupid as she revels in the protection and subsequent power her magic grants her and her band.

This post is getting long, so I apologize and am gonna wrap it up quickly since this is just a rundown backstory, but!!

Basically there is an accident during a mission that results in her murdering the ever living SHIT out of her not only every living soul in the encampment a-la-thunderbolts and lightning, but also unintentionally frying her own fellow mercenaries that had accompanied her, one of which being the senior Saarebas who had trained her growing up.

This event traumatizes her, and leads her to flee the scene in simultaneous shame and terror. She seeks out an encampment of Ben-Hassrath agents to essentially be "re-educated", claiming to be Vashoth and having seen the light.

She had only been a Saarebas for roughly 9 months before the Conclave. While Adaar didn't fully understand the nuances of the Qun, her desire to simply empty her mind and not think of the damage she had done helped. The Ben-Hassrath agents appreciated her obedience and her power, and she was tasked with helping to hunt down other Tal-Vashoth.

Then the events of the Conclave happened and her memories were lost, and the Anchor gained. Still, she couldn't quite bring herself to remove the Saarebas mask and collar for a reason she couldn't quite place. The Control rod, recovered from the ruins of the Temple of Sacred Ashes, is fashioned into the hilt of her Knight-Enchanter blade. A key that she refuses to use.

The Saarebas mask is simultaneously a prison of her old life, and a shield for her new life as the Herald of Andraste.

It's only after the attack on Haven that any of her Inner Circle truly sees her actual face, and that's as she's dying in the snow from frostbite.

every time i talk w my parents i have to remind myself not to get swayed by their doting affectionate act.

#i mean see #becoming older has made me recognize and appreciate them for a lot of what they did #but to say that i am doing anything except lip service to them rn would be an exaggeration #our relationship has improved but i have made it clear that i never intend to live with them ever again #that the honeymoon period will last 2 days max #they'll cry their crocodile tears #and the emotional abuse will restart like it never stopped #that the physical abuse would have continued if i didn't threaten them by throwing chairs and a knife #like....these past few months have given me such fucking WHIPLASH #it almost makes me forget just how dysfunctional our dynamic has been #how i got away relatively well adjusted because i psychologied myself through clinical and counselling psych classes #how they refuse to take the blame absolutely for my brother's issues surfacing now in his adulthood #ever so often something so viscerally twisted will happen on a call or on the group chat which makes me want to hurt myself #and that serves as a wake up call abt how bad shit used to be #and how glad i am to be away from it all #but every few weeks i will be lulled back into thinking that maybe things weren't so bad #i'm also swayed so much by the people around me rn who hesitate so much to talk about anything that isn't small talk #either that or they're people who really love their parents and enjoy spending time with them #and i'm like....respectfully i cannot relate and neither can the bamboo rod that once broke in two bcs of how hard my parents wielded it <3 #and ofc when families come up in conversation everyone acts like it's a normal thing for there to be ups and downs #w so much unsaid and implied about how i'm actually an ungrateful POS who can't appreciate their parents sacrificing so much for me #hehe. no thanks. keep ur judgement to urself

Yeah we all criticize Ryou for STILL FUCKING GOING BACK FOR THE DAMN RING in Battle City (and every other time lbr), and rightfully so, but if we’re being honest. In his defense it WAS kind of horrendously irresponsible of the Yugis to just leave two wholeass Millennium Items just sitting on a table and then leave the room. Why did they do that

anon abso-fucking-lutely, tell me about it. very rarely do i ship shivers with anyone (the city of revachol is nonamorous aroace to me [<- normal phrases to say]) buuuut: 1) im a big multi-shipper and im down with any skill pairing ever, romantic or platonic, and i will always support any skillshipping 2) ooh i see the vision. the skill who personifies the world and the skill who is the world personified. i want them to poeticize the happenings of the city and dance together along the revacholian skyline.
