I am in LOVE with @one-idea ‘s Reverse Strawhats au and when I read the post about Zoan Reindeer user Dr Hiriluk I just had to try my hand at wat he’d look like.
SO, key stuff!
• I wanted to incorporate his key features so ofc his iconic weird ass hair that he has that I kinda incorporated into his reindeer ears since his hair kinda covers his ears anyway?? Seemed fitting
• ALSO ofc he’s older and grayed so gray reindeer gives him a distinct, neat winter look especially with his cool tan antlers
• I thought it would be so sweet if he put Chopper’s iconic ‘x’ shape on his own hat in honor of his son (tried giving it a bandaged look? Idk if that hit)
• another tribute to Chopper!! With his antlers having that same shape on the forward part being the same as his. Shows u wat’s in his heart
• u can’t see if very well because his hat sits on it, but I wanted to include his little nose bump ✨
• also again, old man, give him a BIG shoulder hump, along with his more human features of a scruffy mustache beard poking out too hehe

Hi there,
If you feel comfortable answering:
Can a newcomer to The Magnus Archives start with The Magnus Protocol or will that be too confusing if they have not finished the original series first?
Have a good [insert time of day]!
We're writing Protocol with the intention that you don't have to have listened to Archives to enjoy it. Anything relevant from Archives should be explained and contextualised when it comes up in Protocol.
That said, obviously certain beats are going to hit harder if you're familiar with the original series (you might miss out on a few "Oh my god I know THAT voice!" moments) and it may be hard to join in with some of the theorising without that initial grounding, so listening to Archives first is probably a good idea if you have the time and energy for 200 episodes!
Although, now I say it, there are a few ways in which I can imagine being fully steeped in Archives might actually cause you to stumble a bit with Protocol. Certain preconceptions and assumptions that might trip you up. We shall see.

gnawing on my arm because i think there's something to be said about how stede not only dreams about himself with a beard, but ed with his full beard back too. like, the dream seems to be riddled with imagery that he thinks ed would want.
and i say this especially because of how stede reacted when ed had to shave his beard. he freaked out on his behalf. he shrieked in horror whereas ed was entirely unbothered. he feared he had ruined him, had dragged him down to some despicable level, when in actuality, ed was completely content to shed that part of his persona.
and then there he is dreaming about ed with that part right on back.
so there's very clearly still a part of his mind that's convinced that's what ed wants. because why wouldn't he? everyone else seems to. and why would he want the softness and femininity stede had been bullied for his entire life?
which in turn plays into his own imagery too. bearded, masculine, fiercesome, rugged...
because how could someone love what everyone has hated him for? how could someone want what everyone has tried to quite literally beat out of him?

I found your art like right before you started featuring Vasco more prominently in the lore, and seeing the focus shift from "This sad wet cat of a dog man priest is doomed by the narrative" to "this sad wet cat of a dog man priest has a sunshiny gay lover who is his world" has been a fun trip lol
