ok first of all I think you know this is going to be more than a 'moment'. this is basically a term paper you have dropped into my inbox you wily minx and I LOVE IT!!

I made visual aids 😌 which is why this has taken me a whole dang time, but I hope it will be worth it in the end!

There are many good mickey looks that didn't make the cut because there were just so many? Mans looks good a lot of the time. Most of s10 for instance, he just looks great, I couldn't include all of it! So these are really just looks/moments where I have to stop what I'm doing to just marvel for a moment 👀

I feel bad ragging on him for early seasons choices because I imagine his clothes at that time were largely dictated by what was available, but a choice is still a choice and no one forced you to cut your shirts into weird terrible halters Mickey, you did that yourself, so you have to bear the consequences. But always remember I love you and you're doing great sweetie. I hate the camo but we blame Ian for that I know you would never do that to us by yourself.

some little headcanons:

- first date tank top I feel like maybe used to belong to an older guy at school who Mickey used to surreptitiously spy on during gym class, both because the guy was hot and because he was ripped and looked good in that shirt and Mickey was caught in that confusing place between wanting to bone him and wanting to look good in that way too. So he stole the shirt and started working out and when he gets out of juvie and puts it on and fills it out way better than he did before he went in he feels like the hottest girl at the party and that's why he's in such a good mood doing his supermodel swagger.

- sad jumper of pain. idk if the milkoviches ever knew their grandparents but that garment, to me, screams grandpa. that is something a grandpa would wear and buy and maybe something a grandkid would take to wear after the grandpa died because it reminded them of him and made them feel safe and cared for or something idk.

i can't explain the sleeveless hoodie. it makes no sense. it is the worst thing ever. it's a terrible colour on him. it has no function. someone tell me why it exists!? I struggle to pick a best look for him, but this one is definitely the worst.

Some hella messy doodles for the shippuden designs! Excuse the every changing details because I am never truly happy with final designs dear lord-

I’ve got design notes! Long wall of words belooowww

Starting with Naruto once again!

his clothes are based off of several unfinished ideas I had of Uzushio and how their proficiency with seals would allow them to be more flamboyant or lighter in their gear. The magic of storage and protective seals!

there are seals embroidered into the inner lining and occasionally the exterior, acting as both armor and pack. Uzushio always seemed like a rather bright place, connected to the sea, so I made the robes generally blue themed but also darker as they are still shinobi in the end and bright colors are harder to hide.

I added a hood because Naruto just,,,, he has modern streetwear vibes. He’d love hoodies

The whole Uzushio inspired ensemble is cause I was thinking that in this au he finds the opportunity to find and visit the island itself. Probably during the time skip, considering it’s hard to really place the discovery of a long lost village within the six-month period between graduation and the chunnin exams

At first I wanted to give him like a mesh crop top to show his seal but then it kinda didn’t have that traditional vibe that I wanted, so I added the kimono top and a red obi with symbols that kinda symbolize the seal (because Naruto connects with Kurama much earlier in this AU)

The headband was honestly ridiculously tricky to place because i was trying to draw this longer hair without making it poof weirdly at the top. Plus I wanted to keep the headband where it was cause,,, cause i was thinking when he goes into tailed beast mode the ribbons flare up to look like Kurama’s ears :”DDD peek design amiright-

his hair. is longer. because i love long hair Naruto to bits and it makes him look like his parents ;;; both of them

the gloves. I have no excuse. They just Look Cool

Sakura:

I gave her an undercut

she deserves it

I didn’t mention this in the other redesign post but she has dimples (though i’m really bad at drawing them

that one scene where she tied up her hair in the Kazekage Rescue Arc was so fucking beautiful I couldn’t resist throwing it in here lmaoooo

i can’t draw it right but imagine the ponytail kinda flowering out like a sakura blossom

I took a lot of different things I liked about the older!Sakura designs and smooshed them in one with my own twist

Belt from pre-timeskip period stays, except now with an extra medical supply bag

longer pants cause they look nice

Sasuke:

honestly I like his normal shippuden design a lot so i kept most of it

I added a cape though, cause he does travel around a bit

and as i was drawing him the collar reverted to a similar shape to his kid clothes

fun fact

the reason that his outfit remains largely the same is because

Sasuke does leave

the action itself doesn’t change, but the circumstances and the ensuing effects do. quite a bit, actually.

and no it does not take the entirety of shippuden to get him back

because he is not a revenge obsessed angry kid here

the biggest reason for all this change is cause I want to change Orochimaru cause i wanna make him live purely because I love mitsuki so fucking much

also i gave him a little half ponytail cause i wanted to give him longer hair but then realized that idk how to draw that and make it look good sO new style boyos

Kakashi? what are you doing here?:

I wanted to change up Kakashi’s look as well because it’s actually really fun to design these outfits no matter difficult it may be bUT it was difficult because I just... can’t see him without a vest.

Not that i can’t see him without wearing a vest, because i have and it’s good and I like it, but i can’t see him going into battle or on missions without one.

I’ve got this headcannon that the vest is lowkey like a security blanket and it’s this grounding weight whenever he’s in this adrenaline filled situation where he may suffer many varieties of consequences if he’s not careful. It has his tools and it’s his armor. Replacing it with a robe feels like robbing him of something he’s always had and is always used to

he keeps a vest

i modified it a bit to make it more right hand sided (i may headcannon Kakashi to be ambidextrous but there’s no denying he uses his right hand more) and the collar to be a bit thinner

Kakashi is like, made for biker fashion. like leather or denim jackets on motorbikes. So I gave him a haori that emulates that look

Naruto came back, saw that Kakashi didn’t change at ALL and took it as a personal offense and dragged him around to get new threads because “Kakashi-sensei, we all upgraded our closet, you should too!”

kind of a sad headcannon that Kakashi didn’t quite let himself enjoy things that wouldn’t benefit him as a ninja and therefore just stuck to his normal outfit of ninja clothes and jonin vest. Icha Icha was the one exception and he picked it up because he had no idea what to do once he was out of ANBU (i would like to back this hc up by pointing to Boruto where Kakashi no longer really holds himself to this rigid ideal of a ninja and lets loose and has fun with Gai and Mirai)

ANYWAYS

he actually likes the stuff Naruto finds for him, though he has no idea where the boy is actually finding all this shit

some misc info about the outfits:

Naruto began learning sealing after the Wave Arc, and he took to it like a fish to water. (i have uzushio spirit hc that I will tell at a later time)

a rare nugget of information he found about uzushio seals was that they were often stitched into the clothing itself

so Naruto went wild with this

he learned sealing while practicing normal embroidery on the side and as he went on his 2-3 year trip with Jiraiya he learned more and just got better and better

He added the seal to his own haori himself and actually made one for Kakashi too. Kakashi just didn’t see him whip the gift haori from one of the stitched sealing scrolls

embroidering takes a really long time and matching it with sealing? oof, hard work. So he actually only got two done and is in process of Sakura’s next. Now that he’s back in the village, he can talk to her about certain things she would want/need considering Naruto isn’t sure what a medic-nin requires.

he made additional gifts for everyone in team seven (even sasuke, even if he doesn’t know what will happen) and hopefully as time passes little trinkets will start to appear

i just really like the idea of naruto being a really craftsy person. He just keeps making small trinkets except these trinkets have sEALING POWER cause he’s very chaotic with his experiments like that

Time for Luffy's fashion exam! Now, I'll be honest, I did skip an outfit because I decided I will be ending this whole thing with the Strawhat fashion show in Episode of Luffy. Also, sorry for the posting gap, I remembered I have other unfinished post sets. That being said, this is a very long one so let's do this!

Kid Luffy, Post-Enies Lobby & Fish-Man Island: I think it's super cute when Luffy has white t shirts with red based logos because it reminds me of the first picture. Makes him look baby plus, they can always be found in cute domestic EPs or fun, cute flashbacks. The shorts change over time and that's also kinda cute, a range of cuffs is a nice change up. It's nice to see the red contrast the blue shorts and the white is a nice color on him cos it contrast his hair!

Romance Dawn, Enies Lobby, Thriller Bark, Sabaody Archipelago, Amazon Lily, Marineford & last Dressrosa outfit: This look is the pre Luffy look. It's the pre Timeskip look everyone thinks of is cuffed shorts, Kimono sandels and sleeveless vest (and Strawhat, obviously) but have you ever seen them all in a line? It's mad. Each outfit is the same basic look bit more are more spicy each time! I like the Thriller Bark and Sabaody Archipelago looks a little bit more cos it's nice to see that jacket open and it feels like he was trying something new. I also feel that the buttons on the jacket look like the ones on Shanks' pegged ankle sailor pants when we first see him so that's cool. (it took me hours to find the name for his trousers, oh my fucking god) The last Dressrosa outfit feels like a nice callback to the rest of the line up here without being too much cos it's just a red vest top instead and I do find it funny it's like the Enies Lobby and it's used in Dressrosa because of the jokes people make about Robin and Law being so similar.

Timeskip: This is it lads, it's the one true icon itself, the post look! ☺️ When I sit back and look at it I see all the people this look is influenced by and want to cry at how masterful it really is. (Now, I do wanna say that I didn't come up with this nor am I the first to say it and I am definitely probably looking too much into this but) The yellow belt is taken from Shanks' red belt the first time we see him and the Shanks look Luffy is more familiar with. Now onto the jacket. I know it won't stand out as to why for most but it's Ace inspired! When Ace leave to become a pirate, the start of his adventure, he has his jacket open and Luffy having his jacket open also shows his scar from the ending of Ace's adventure. I also really appreciate how no one hides scars in this anime. Also, someone said that the style of the jacket and it's fancy frills could be in reference to Sabo's little jabot collar and honestly I do see it. it's quite subtle unlike Shanks' but not as hard to catch as Ace's so I enjoy thinking that it's there too. Lastly, he still has his cuffed shorts and kimono sandels because it's still Luffy's outfit at the end of the day and he is still who is is, just with a stronger appreciation of what people have done for him now. It's also his colour pallette for the pure fact he is the main character n needs his pallet. also sometimes he just has normal wooden sandels but the same outfit sometimes, it's a small detil a lot of people overlook but I prefer the sound of his Kimono sandels 😊

Dressrosa: I love this outfit cos it's stilly but also has very nice vibes. Looks ready for the beach but is really throwing hands and that's the best kind of outfit, it's a nice expectation subversion tbh. I also like how he tried to hide the Straw hat but not... All of it? And I love how the crew didn't actually question it either. It would have been super easy for one of them to just tell him to leave it behind or something but I do really love how respectful they always are of the hat. I myself have a hat that's super important to me and when I loose it I go mad.

Whole Cake Island: I love this arc for outfits! I swear if the actual content of it doesn't kill me, the act looks will 😭 it's all so magical and it knows it is! Like I said before, white is a good color on him as he has black hair but for the same reason, so is black! In this arcs outfit range, the Staw hat seems almost invisible and his outfit gets less and less 'Luffy' as the arc gose on showing this is not about him. He's not the focus of this arc and you can see that in a lot of the outfits thb. I also like the lack of blue and yellow, 2/3 of his colors as Sanji is often associated with those too as we've talked about before. Also, I like the little red strips on the white jacket with the gold buttons, idk why and I think it's nice that the last 2 outfits are so simple in general, it's a nice look for him. oh, what's that? A Pink jabot? Your killing me Lu, straight up killing me here lil' bro! Side note, is this the first time in canon Luffy has worn a suit jacket or is it the only time I've noticed? Cos DAMM!! Shits sick as fuck and I actually love that when wearing a suit jacket as such he always keep short on 😆

Spa Island, Z's Ambition & Strong World: WHOS READY FOR A RELAXING SUNNY DAAAYY!? (pun not intended but very much enjoyed) I actually adore the fact Luffy still tries to go swimming cos it was his favourite thing to do as a kid so like fuck Luffy is gonna give up on that. He's got his safety measures ready, what more do you want from him? I mean I personally want him not to swim with his hat on cos it's litrally Staw and that's not good for water but anyway Z's Ambition, am I right!? The top is so fucking cute and I just noticed those shorts are also ✨designer✨ fancy man!! Now, the pic of Zoro is the one I missed out before and it's also from Z's Ambition. I love that Luffy has the shark top but Zoro has the ocean shorts. I really love Zoro in this purple cos and thick white stripes really work with the ocean waves. It's really well put together and hes got dark brown sandels on to off set all the white but keep the purple from being a stand out color, it's cool! Than the last Luffy looks like he's at a fashion show. It looks like the shorts come from a kids set the shark top belongs to. Imagine those together, it'd be so cute. However, it isn't an ocean patten, those are clouds cos Nami has a bikini top with the same pattern in Skypiea and it's actually one of my favourites for her.

Boss Luffy Historical Special! This filler AU is so much fun, I think any it a lot. He has his hair up in that super cute and useless way that doesn't actually do much but I do have my hair like that a lot n it's just... nice? Idk, it's strange buy I like he did that. I really enjoy his Kimono more that the actual Wano one cos it's a lot more simple look. The Sai being tucked in in that way is also cool but kinda makes it look like it's stabbing him a bit 👁️👄👁️. I like the pin strips being like a faded purpleish cos if you just glance at it, it makes it look it fuzzy. The belt also looks very nice with the middle ligter bit. It really feels like the Wano one was inspired by this is a way cos of the color matches. Like, it's probably not but still.

3D2Y, Adventure of Nebulandia 😍 & Heart of Gold: Hat-less Luffy is both a sin and a blessing. Regardless, I LOVE OP BOYS IN HOODIES!! I had to show you this specific the 3D2Y because we don't see the hood and it's soooo cute cos it a paw 😍 but also 😬 cos it's like... Kuma's paw the thing that cause 3D2Y in the first place. But that's also why it's so cool at the same time and AHHHHHH 😄 Now! On to Nebulandia! I really like this movie but also in canon, how does he have that jumper? Who made it for him and can I have one? It's Usopp flag design so I guess it could be him but he doesn't seem the type. Point is I want one. Last of this set is some really cosy outfits!! "How much fur?" "Yes" am I right? Like the first one is sooooo cosy with all the fur! Plus, a funky new bamboo hat, always a good thing to have a new hat. I appreciate that you can see the zips on these too. Then the orange turtle neck one with little fluffy bits is just here cos it's so out of his usual looks, I had to at least mention it.

Strong world & Film Z: The shorts on the first one are really cute cos it's a light rosey pink with red fur and just a plain solid dark blue colour jacket works really well. Not to mention the fact he has a super cute orange and yellow flight helmet hat with goggles on under the Staw hat. The 2 bag straps also make an X which is a nice detail. The 2nd outfits in this movie are super fuckin cool ngl. It's so strange to see them all dress in black and have guns but I like the red shirt for him with the yellow highlighted parts. Makes the Straw hat actually work with the outfit instead of ignoring it. Film Z brings us the same flight helmet hat just brighter and without the goggles but also opens with this T-Shirt and Luffy being silly with it. I think that's the only reason to mention it, it's funny. Then the obligation pirate outfit, always stunning plus the meat belt.

Film: Gold & Stampede (also used in Cidre Guild): these are my top 3 Luffy outfits no matter what else I see. I love the straw cowboy hat sooooo much cos it's very Luffy. I like the balls they has as a team to choose white for all of them, considering they are all quite messy people, living for that dad shirt and I like the Golden chain around his neck but am always confused as to why it was never used against him. Like dude could and should have tried to choke him at least once, right? Anyway, the dress! Now, the dress isn't actually that good but it's my favourite because it shows how Luffy has no fucks about gendered things. On to of that, a big pink flower is wonderful and look at his confidences in it, he's so proud of it the boom, Nami told him he can't wear it! Lastly, the Stampede outfit!!! Just like the Nebulandia jumper, I have no idea who made it but it's irrelevant cos it's beautiful and I want it so badly. I like that it's white and red stripes, gives thenprefect vibes for Stampedes opening. The shirt is actually too big for him, you can see on his arms but it's actually super cute. I love the simple look of these shorts then the fact his yellow belt is replaced with white bandages and the black on the kimono sandels are now red? It's such a simple pallet and it's truly the best!

I also just wanna add, I think it's really cute when Luffy has the Straw hat on his back just cos his hair is really cute. Idk why, it's looks kinda cursed but cute at the same time

Logan quietly opened the door to Dee's room and padded over to the crib that sat against the wall. The yellow and black quilts were pushed to one side and the almost-one year old was lying with his favourite snake toy.

"Hello little one." Logan murmured as he reached into the bed to lift his son into his arms. "How was your nap?"

Dee yawned and blinked slowly. Logan kissed their head as he grabbed 'Mr Snek' and flipped the nightlight off.

Logan kept the toddler distracted for about an hour before he made dinner. Dee loved experimenting with his set of rainbow blocks, he stacked them in size order and admired his work with a series of proud babbling sounds before knocking them over and giggling. Logan laughed with him and scooped him into his lap to tickle his tummy until he was bright red.

Dee cooed as he was set in his highchair. “Dada! Mr Snek!” He called gleefully.

Logan chuckled and passed the plush snake to him. While the toddler played with Mr Snek, Logan started dinner. He had a date with Patton Hart at seven and wanted to feed Dee by then so he could go to sleep and Virgil wouldn’t have to do much when he babysat.

Logan checked the time and mapped out a rough plan in his head while he prepared canned spaghetti on toast, Dee did not appreciate fancy food, his taste was basic and he didn’t like to venture outside his comfort zone.

Logan turned back to the toddler as he babbled at the yellow snake. “Hey Dee-dee.”

Dee looked up and broke into a grin, his birth mark almost looked like a patch on a cat’s face. He reached up and Mr Snek fell from his weak grip, “Snek!” He yelped, he looked up at his Dad with fearful eyes, he sniffled and his bottom lip quivered.

“No no no!” Logan picked it up and handed it back to the upset toddler. “See? There we go baby, it’s okay.”

Dee hugged the plush and started chewing on it immediately.

“Come on little one, let’s have some food first.”

Dee sniffed and ate some food with a grouchy expression. Logan chuckled at his wrinkled nose and kissed his forehead. “Come on Dee, a little bit more, if I didn’t think pretending eating utensils were vehicles was pointless I might tell you that this fork was a airplane, but I’m not going to do that so will you please just take a bite?”

Dee scowled but took a small bite.

“Thank you honey-dee.” Logan smiled. “Dad’s gotta get ready now, can you sit quietly with Snek for a bit?”

Dee wrinkled his nose again and hissed slightly.

Logan snorted. “You’ve got quite the attitude for someone so little.”

He picked him up, ensuring that Dee still had a firm grip on Snek, and carried him to his bedroom.

Dee was sitting in the middle of his dad’s bed, slobbering all over Mr Snek while Dad changed into a blue shirt and a black skirt that reached past his knees. “What do you think Dee?”

“Dada!”

“Thanks baby, docs or flats?”

Dee poked his tongue out and blew a raspberry.

“You -” Logan booped his nose, “- are a fashion genius, thanks honey-dee.”

He tugged his boots on and ran a hand through his hair, which, thankfully, he had remembered to wash.

It was 6:48. “Okay Dee, Virgil’s supposed to get here soon, are you gonna be nice and not difficult?”

Dee giggled and Logan let out a sigh. “You, my little snake, are mischievous.”

Logan carried him out to the living room so he could set him down in the center of his toys. “Honey, play -”

He was cut off by the doorbell.

“Don’t move.” Logan teased.

Dee blew him a raspberry as he opened the door, Logan shot him a look over his shoulder and grinned.

“Hello Virgil.”

The seventeen year old gave him a lazy peace sign and stepped inside, he was wearing his usual hoodie and his violet hair was pulled back in a small ponytail. “Hi Lo.”

“Hmm, you didn’t have to be invited inside, and I was so sure you were a vampire.”

“Ha ha, you’re hilarious.” Virgil said dryly.

Logan smirked. “Dee’s over there.”

Virgil headed over to the toddler and picked him up. “Hey bud. Whatcha doin’?”

Logan smiled at them. He taught English to highschoolers and Virgil was one of his students. He was the best writer Logan had ever taught and after the teacher had defended him from some homophobic punks, they formed a friendship. Virgil was his number one babysitter and adored Dee as if they were siblings. Virgil was almost a second child to Logan at this point, his own parents weren’t so great and Logan would happily have him over, even if it was just to do some homework and relax.

Virgil sat on the couch with the toddler in his lap. “So, you have a date?”

“Yes, and before you start asking questions, his name is Patton Hart, he works at Remy’s cafe, that’s where we met the other day.”

“Is he cute?”

“Virgil.”

“Well?”

Logan groaned. “I don’t have to answer, I’m your teacher.”

Virgil waved him off. “You love me.”

Logan rolled his eyes fondly and checked his eyeliner in the mirror. “How do I look? I asked Dee and he gave me some great advice.”

“Was it Dada or Snek?” Virgil asked. “But you look really good, I like the boots.”

“Of course you do.”

The doorbell rang and Virgil smirked. “Your date’s here.”

“Shut up.” Logan stroked Dee’s hair and walked over to open the door. “Hi Patton.”

“Hey Lo!” Patton greeted.

Logan stepped aside. “Come in for a moment, I’m just gonna grab my stuff. This is Virgil by the way, he’s watching Dee while we’re out.”

Virgil waved. “Hey.”

“Hello, hi Dee!” Patton came over to sit next to them.

“I like your dress.” Virgil said as he played with Dee’s hair.

“Oh thank you!” Patton was wearing a light blue dress, long sleeved with a thin gold belt and a sleeveless denim jacket that went with his white knee length cat socks.

Logan reappeared with a navy shoulder bag. He knelt in front of Virgil and stroked his son’s cheek. “I’ll be back after bedtime, okay? I’ll see you tomorrow morning, be nice to Virge for me. Love you honey-dee.” He kissed Dee’s forehead and squeezed his shoulder lightly. “Thanks Vee, we’ll be back by 10 but I’ll message you if our plans change, just put him to bed in twenty minutes. Keep in contact, you know the rules.”

“I know, have fun.”

“Bye, let’s go Patton.”

Patton stood and waved at Dee. “Bye guys.”

Logan led him out and waved to Virgil.

“You look adorable.” Logan admitted as they walked down the street.

Patton beamed. “Thanks! You look really nice too, I like the pins.”

Logan glanced down at his bag where the small collection of badges were. A rainbow, a brain, a moon and stars and a cloud that read I’m not sorry for your fragile masculinity.

Patton linked their hands, and a blush spread across Logan’s cheeks.

“So, are you going to tell me where we’re going?” Patton asked.

“Not yet, we’re getting food to take to a surprise location.” Logan said as they turned a corner.

“And we’re walking?”

“It’s not far. I always liked this time of day, almost dark, everything seems calmer and more relaxed, I enjoy walking around here.”

Patton nodded. “That makes sense, it is pretty around here. I love the clouds, they’re beautiful.”

Logan looked up at the pink tinged sky, covered in smudges of orange and gold. “Yes, I suppose they are.”

Patton looked at him and smiled. God, his eyes were a fascinating blue, he was truly the cutest man Logan had ever seen. He smiled back and they kept walking, swinging their intertwined hands slightly.

“Here we are.” Logan announced. “They make the best burgers here.”

Patton looked down. “Um, I’m vegetarian.”

“That’s okay, I come here all the time with Remy and his boyfriend, Emile, he’s a vegetarian too and he absolutely loves their veggie burgers. They also have great fries.”

Patton’s bright smile returned. “Cool!”

They ordered their food to-go and walked out again.

“It’s not far, I promise.” Logan said as he guided Patton along the path.

They soon reached the place Logan was taking them, a park.

“It doesn’t seem like much but, this place is pretty and it’s fun and I really love bringing Dee here to lie on the grass and watch the sky.”

“Wow, Lo, this is actually really pretty.”

Logan led him over to a grassy spot by the playground and they sat. No one else was here, they had the place to themselves to eat and laugh and talk. Patton loved the burger, he loved the park, he loved the neighborhood, he was cheerful and bubbly and Logan found himself flustered and blushing every time Patton giggled or smiled. He was a waiter at Remy’s cafe, he loved working there, he really liked Remy and Emile and thought it was really cool that Remy and Logan were brothers.

Patton watched Logan talk about his job as a teacher, how talented Virgil was as a writer and how much he loved his son. He could talk about Dee for days and Patton could happily watch him.

“It’s almost 10.” Patton sighed, they were lying together on the grass watching the sky darken while holding hands. “Maybe we should go.”

“Probably, I really liked this though.” Logan said as he stood and stuffed their rubbish into his bag. “I’d love to do it again.”

“Absolutely! I love spending time with you.” Patton said, an adorable blush spreading under his freckles.

“I’m glad.” Logan murmured as they walked home again.

They reached Patton’s car and he stopped walking, he turned to Logan, his pale face glowing in the moonlight. “I should go, I really loved spending time with you Lo.”

“I feel the same way, Pat.”

They smiled and leaned forward to close the gap. When they pulled away, Logan was speechless.

Patton giggled softly. “Goodnight Logan Croft.”

“Goodnight Patton Hart.” Logan whispered as the smaller man climbed into his car and drove away.

What’s your fashion like? [Time travelers – pre & post-wormhole!]

“Er, pre time-jump I was a fan of sleeveless hoodies and high-waisted jeans. I didn’t go out much, so I dressed comfortably. Now I wear kimono and hakama… it’s pretty. I sure hope it didn’t trouble people too much to make these…!“

Where are you from?

“I’m from Canada, actually. I lived alone for a bit then my dad reached out to me and asked me if I’d like to spend some time with him in Japan. So uh, I just wanted to talk to him again and thought this would be a good way for me to intern somewhere… it might as well be his business right? Then the storm thing.“

Her mom is French, her dad is English. She’s got a ridiculously high IQ level and no social skills whatsoever, so she knows most Japanese and speaks it pretty okay despite her North American kind of accent. Is that a thing? thonks

“There are pros?!“ She’s not very happy being surrounded by blood and death…

“Gosh. Absolutely.“

What’s your home life like?

“Well, I’ll run you through a usual day! Ah… well, I’d eat something, then play with my cat, talk to Avery for a bit, then… yeah I’d spend the rest of it at the garage, just working on my projects! It’s… I like working. It’s not healthy, and I’ve been told… but it’s nice, you know?“

Melody doesn’t go outside.

She scarcely leaves her property and the only close friends she has is a cat and a cyborg (a man with no arms). Her parents split years ago and she wasn’t properly socialized as a kid. Being raised as a certified genius? It’s… lonely. She doesn’t know how it’s affected her, but being thrown back in time is forcing her to look at things differently.

You just got your dream job! What is it? / Or, what’s your line of work?

“I’m a programmer on the side, but first and foremost, I make prosthesis for people. I have a background in medicine and engineering I suppose…”

Any other hobbies or skills? Do you use them / how do you use them in the Sengoku period?

“Not really… I can barely take care of myself as is, haha! Erm. I can’t use my skills much at all in this era. Other than some simple automatons, there’s also guns I can piece apart, but I’m more hesitant with those… all I can do is use my expertise in biology I guess. There’s a lot of injuries going around, and I’m glad I’m not completely useless.“

Where is your base of operations? Azuchi Castle? Kasugayama Castle? A pirate ship? Running all over the woods or in a secret monastery? Some other cool place?

“I woke up in a forest near Azuchi and stayed in a neutral tea house for a while before Lord Masamune pretty much dragged me to the castle. So I stayed there for a few months, and the warlords grew on me, but… I… got kidnapped. So I guess my base of operations is a pirate ship.”

Oh?

“…I don’t like it. Don’t get me started on their captain…”

How do you feel about killing and violence?

“I just wish there’s another way past it all. I don’t think I’ll ever understand the logic behind killing someone. I… I’m a doctor. Not a murderer.”

Have you learned to fight? If so, what’s your weapon and/or fighting style of choice?

“Nope, actually. But there’s some good guys on board that might be willing to teach me! At least, I hope so. The only thing I’m leaning towards are guns, unfortunately, but they’re the closest thing to a modern mechanism I can get. Eep… I don’t know how to fight! I don’t want to!”

What are you fighting for?

“Um, my life?!“ It changes. Eventually. ;3

What are your feelings about authority?

“As long as they’re not bullies? Fine.” She pauses. “Lord Nobunaga was different though. I didn’t understand him fully, but he doesn’t really make fun of me or anything. He’s just curious I guess. I don’t tend to question authority unlike some pirates.”

How do you handle someone invading your personal space?

“I just get really uncomfortable and back away if I can. I can’t bring myself to yell at people unless they’ve seriously whittled down on my patience. I didn’t know I had it in me, actually… huh.“

“Ha…. haha! Yeah, sometimes. I get nosy okay? I didn’t even know what personal space was until I was eleven!”

Are you more open, or more reserved? Are you secretive?

“Avery says I’m an open book. I have nothing to hide, no secrets to keep. There’s not much that happened to me before, so I guess I’m some kind of blank slate? Gee, that sounds so harsh…”

Is this the first time you’ve been truly in love?

“Love? Have you spoken to these people?”

Eventually? Yeah. Yeah this is her first time.

What’s your style as a lover? (interpret this as innocently or not-innocently as you please ;) )

She’s sweet, affectionate and balanced. She knows when to handle time with her partner and time working on whatever independent activities. Though she’s quite a dense person overall and won’t realize if she’s even fallen for someone, she deeply and wholeheartedly trusts them. It takes a while for her to know this.

Also, she’s 99% submissive and slightly masochistic. As well as a rope bunny.

What are your favorite ways for someone to show you love?

Touches, fleeting ones. Tight hugs, any kind of embrace. Show her something unconditional, undivided. She’s been isolated for so long she convinced herself she won’t have someone to love, so she carries on merrily alone, not knowing how deprived she is of human contact. Hmm.

Take her on an adventure. Bring her out of her comfort zone. Show her what the world could be like… you’ll change her.

Do you use a petname or endearments for your lover(s)?

Not really, she would give nicknames if she could! She already says things like ‘honey’ and ‘dear’, but nothing too mushy unless it becomes super playful and joking.

How do you feel about…

Nobunaga? “He’s such a complicated warlord… I don’t know if I’ll ever understand him. But he’s shown some really keen interest in me. Is it because I’m a Westerner? Either way, Lord Nobunaga scared me and he still does. But after spending months in the castle and talking to him, he’s not actually as mean as I thought he was. I don’t know why he laughs at me though! I guess the things I do seem really silly to him!”

Hideyoshi? “Oh he’s super nice. He taught me how to make tea when mister Mitsunari and I put way too much leaves in. He tends to scold me for staying up though, but I can’t help my insomnia without my pills! It’s really comforting to know that Lord Hideyoshi is looking out for me though. The things he does reminds me of how Avery takes care of me, so I guess he’s like a big brother? Heehee.”

Masamune? “He was the one who brought me to Azuchi castle, and boy is he wild! His energy shocked me honestly, it’s like he never runs out of it. He’s so cool though! He kinda scared me too, and I’m pretty sure he can stab me once told to, but he’s been really playful. I didn’t know I’d have so much fun in Azuchi thanks to him. And he makes amazing food! Though he should stop bugging me to eat three meals a day…”

Ieyasu? “Aw man, I wish I can talk to him without him speedwalking away or trying to avoid me! He’s reading stuff about medicine, right? I’d like to know what he’s learning. It’s no doubt super different from modern medicine. I try to talk to him sometimes but Lord Ieyasu’s always busy… was it something I said?”

You know that question about invading personal space? Melody leans in to peer over at his books sometimes. She’s a bit too friendly to his liking.

Mitsunari? “I relate to him a lot. He’s really friendly and sometimes I’d spend my free time reading with him. Time goes by so fast though and either Lord Hideyoshi or Lord Ieyasu would step in to tell us we’ve missed dinner…”

Literally. They are so alike. They got along swell.

Mitsuhide? “S-Scary… have you heard of those rumors about him? I mean, in person he’s okay, but he’s just tall and intimidating to me. He did take me out to the marketplace once and show me around, which… well, nevermind. I guess he’s nice. Apparently Lord Hideyoshi told him to stop teasing me, but I don’t recall being teased?”

She’s dense.

Shingen? “Big man. Very tall, and… I think he was flirting with me. Whatever it was, he’s… really.. erm, polite and all, and I met him along with Yukimura and Sasuke at the forest tea house before I was taken to Azuchi. I don’t know him too well, but with what Lord Nobunaga told me, he must be a strong warlord…”

Kenshin? “I never met the guy. With a title like the ‘God of War’, I don’t think I want to…!” Fear.

Yukimura? “He’s… he’s kind of… what’s the word, gruff, isn’t he? I met him along with Shingen and I guess it’s a good quality to be honest and stuff. I think we got off on the wrong foot.”

She spilled tea on him. You can imagine the rest. Sasuke came in clutch.

Sasuke? “He’s super great. I wish I had more time to talk to him! He kinda saw right through my attempt to hide the fact that I’m from the future and he gave me helpful advice on fitting in and staying under the radar. Eep, sorry I got dragged to the castle, Sasuke! We can talk about astrophysics another time…! Seriously, I’m so grateful to him. Without his advice I’d probably be in big trouble.”

Kennyo? “He went near the tea house once and was feeding the fish in the koi pond. He’s scary, but… he’s nice. I served him tea and some dumplings. I had no idea he hated Lord Nobunaga so much…”

Motonari? “Ugh… infuriating. I didn’t know I could be so angry at someone before I met this guy. The nerve he has, to kidnap me in broad daylight, spit on Azuchi defenses, and then use me as his impromptu surgeon for the high seas! Hmph. … I… I don’t know. The more time I spend with him, I feel like I’m not going anywhere - you know, I try to get along, I really do, but I think he’s keeping me away? Like, he just tends to stay shallow with people. As annoying as he can get… I want to know why. He’s shown how playful he could be, and his crew loves him. He gives me the same vibes as Lord Nobunaga, actually… intimidating, but I want to know more about him.”

Any other friends/notables?

“I have a friend named Avery and he’s awesome! He took care of me ever since I was eleven, he was twenty-one at the time and now he’s thirty. He’s like a dad to me. Oh, and this isn’t too important, but he has metal arms. I made those! Er, the updated ones, actually. Just to make sure they’re functioning like real arms and all. The prototypes were made by my mom and he was severely injured, so the surgery took a while. He and I grew really close after my parents’ divorce. He lives a few blocks down, and he has eight dogs. Don’t ask ME why, you should ask HIM. … I miss him. I hope he’s okay.”

She also has a cat named Charlie. He’s a grey ragdoll. That’s… that’s about it.
