y’all ever sit down and think of the burden luffy has on his shoulders as (a GOOD) captain? way back in the beginning of the story he saved nami’s life by clawing up a mountain. he went to alabasta and beat the shit out of crocodile cus he was destroying vivi’s home. he fought CP9, some of the strongest forces in the marines besides the admirals, just to bring robin home. he went after a fucking yonko to save sanji from living as a hostage. it especially shows during whole cake island. he’s fighting katakuri after barely sleeping for Days while fighting an onslaught of big mom’s crew and he’s so worn down. katakuri, big mom’s top officer. his crew looks at him with so much concern and he smiles to tell them he’s okay. he wouldn’t let them get hurt. he would die before they lay their hands on his crew, and his stubborn ass refuses to meet death. it’s moments like this where i’m like, damn, luffy’s grown up. he’s never been immature when it matters, but the degree of severity of the situation has never been this extreme. he trusts them to stay safe while he’s gone because they’re strong but he knows they’d drop everything and rush to fight alongside him if he even gave them an INKLING of a chance that he couldn’t do it. knowing how deeply exhausted he was when he smiled for them felt like holding up the sky for a second. you just learned how heavy of a load luffy carries on his shoulders.

very unpopular trigun fandom opinion but. i really Don’t like when people write/draw wolfwood as being genuinely religious. like wearing rosary and praying every night and saying grace before eating and shit. I’m finally biting the bullet and contacting a therapist today after being ambivalent ab it for so long… this hellsite has its many disadvantages but one thing I can say is it has truly helped me be less scared of pursuing therapy. Silver lining etc etc

#And to be clear I have nothing against therapy. I’ve seen it do wonders for other people #I think the reason it’s a point of defeat (just a little) for me to be like ok. I need a therapist. Is bc I’m admitting to myself that I #need one to begin w. And I get it’s not healthy but I always liked to think I could handle anything by myself #That was even the whole point of this blog. It was supposed to serve as a conduit for these feelings #And I’m not saying I don’t have a support system. I do. I have many wonderful friends #But I struggle to be vulnerable at all tbh and whenever I am I’m guilty ab it bc #I understand so many people have busy lives & I feel like an emotional burden on them by venting #Despite them telling me that it’s totally fine. Obvi a therapist is literally paid to listen so no guilt there #And I think that’s what I need #I’m not like on the brink of a psychotic break or anything but it’s just little things. I think it’d be nice to sit in someone’s office for #One hour a week and just go. That did bother me actually. I am tired actually. #like - every three seconds it’s someone talking about how it’s us military prop or it doesn’t cover the atrocities well etc etc #when a) it is so definitely NOT us propoganda- it is so clearly critiquing the us military and oppenheimer himself #and b) it doesn’t cover every small detail of the impacts of the bomb bc that’s not what the film is about #it is a screenplay adapted from a biography on oppenheimer #it is about him - a biopic - and how he got to the point of making atomic weapons and ends on a note of undeniable horror #it is a movie that constantly bombards you with anxiety bc you have the burden of knowing the future #it is not in any way forgiving anything - it acknowledges the fucked up nature of the situation #hell it’s mostly a courtroom drama that shows how fucked up mccarthyism was #i’m a big history buff - so this plays a lot into it #but y’all have GOT to just stop seeinf things on a surface level and engage with media w/ a deeper mindset of just ‘thing bad’ #anyway - sorry it bothers me a lot #there are genuine criticims that can be leveled at both nolan and this film and i have seen them #im not sitting here calling the end all be all of cinema - but it’s a well made movie w/ something interesting to say and evaluate #not wanting to see it is one thing - by all means - but wringing it through the mud w/ absolutely no knowledge of the actual content of - #the film itself is actively annoying #media literacy #oppenheimer #mini rant

The fact that True And Mutual Love Domain ….. looks like that. The fact that Yuuta’s idea of love in general looks like that. Everything he does is for the sake of love. His whole understanding of the world is about love. He’ll do anything for love. He’ll die for love. He intends to die for love. Love is careful and caring and diligent and powerful, but most importantly love is a graveyard.
