There’s something so special to me about Kristen, Fabian and Adaine being the most affected by Lucy’s death.
Kristen making sure she gets honoured and saved. Fabian and Adaine insisting that ppl need to know what happened to Lucy and immediately wanting to turn to adults for different but wonderful reasons.
Kristen is genuinely somber and yes, while first focused on Yolanda, does not hesitate to include Lucy in her miracle.
Fabian is trying to be responsible and knows they’re in over their heads and that Lucy deserves justice. Though he and Gorgug both saw the women disappear to the other side, Fabian seemed to be more rocked by it.
Adaine wants Lucy’s parents to know where she is and what happened to her. The thought of doing anything different shocked her.
And I love love love that Lou stuck to his guns about it. The group was scared to be blamed again, but Fabian, whose remaining parents left him all alone, did not want this little girl to be alone and forgotten any longer. Fabian whose entire arc shifted on its axis after he abandoned another kid to die, even if by accident. His own fear in the forest of death was initially that nobody could see or remember him and that he was left to fight his battles alone.
The rest of the group worried, because if someone went this far, what could possibly happen to them or the people they love?
But Fabian, Adaine and Kristen couldn’t see anything more important than the two people in front of them.

I’m ngl y’all I feel so bad for Cassandra. Imagine having your image entirely remade and reborn and being so eager to help and the cleric who literally reshaped you wants absolutely nothing to do with you. I’d be sick

Here’s my hot take!!
When people try to make sexualities into Oc’s or characters, they always make their interpretation of asexuality a sad, serious, low energy “emo kid (derogatory)” ,while all the other sexuality characters are happy little goobers…it honestly irks me a lot >:(
Here’s an illustration to show what I mean!!
Tumblr media
I’ll just say this!! If you’re gonna try to force the diversity of a single sexuality into one characterisation…
LET 👏 ASEXUALS👏BE👏GOOBERS👏👏👏

OH OH OH OH OH
THE NECTAR
ITS A HONEY POT!!!!!!!
I keep wracking my brain as to what benefit would be gained by spiking a large group of people with the devil’s nectar. Its effect doesn’t make a person more persuadable, it makes them more persuasive. If it were a player character’s consumable, it’d provide an advantage to deception/persuasion or something.
What’s unique about this substance is that, if consumed excessively, the user can become so good at deception that they believe their own lies.
What sort of strategy would benefit from a large group of people believing their own lies? Campaigners with free samples.
Hey, we’re offering food truck food outside the school! Just say you’ll vote for KLCK and eat as much as you want!
Hey! Welcome to our Moonar Yulenear camp/festival! We’ve got all sort of amenities, please enjoy the winter blessed to us by Galachaea herself! Technically we’re here as a church thing, but we’re not stuffy about it and we take all kinds. Just go with it, praise Galachaea and all that, and enjoy the hot chocolate in our religious echo chamber!
It’s a honey pot. It’s a trap. They’re turning free samples against us.

every time I mention Ace Attorney around my (defense lawyer) father, he asks if I’ll be going to law school now
the best bit was me telling him that if I did that, I would be fulfilling the Phoenix Wright prophecy because I’d be dropping my art degree to pursue law

I’ve been thinking back to artist stuff in high school and man people are really weird about furry stuff in a way that seems like they’re super afraid to be associated with it at all. I don’t/didn’t consider myself a furry but I recognize my art is obviously furry-adjacent at times and I don’t mind that.
I’d almost always bring my sketch book to school with me so I can draw during breaks and stuff and the amount of times people (sometimes complete strangers!) would randomly insult me for drawing “furry shit” (once this happened bc I was drawing bojack horseman characters LMAO) like ppl are usually polite when they see me (or others from what I’ve seen) drawing in public, will either ignore it or say something nice or funny if they do comment on it, unless it’s something they think is furry art.
It’s baffling to me like this is so obviously not how these people would normally behave but it feels like they’re so afraid of being seen as cringe they feel they have to point out any cringe they see so that no one thinks they’re cringe. Grown adults can do this stuff too but it was obv much more common for me in high school.
And it was so shitty how it made me actually somewhat ashamed of drawing anything that could be perceived as furry, even though I’ve loved drawing animals my whole life since I was a child, and I never had anything against furries and had both irl and online friends who were furries.
I don’t feel any of that shame anymore and just draw whatever I want (it helps that I’m no longer getting strangers commenting on my art like this irl, and that I’m not as insecure a person as I was in high school) it’s just so fucking weird that people feel comfortable acting like this

still mad about this post lol so let me also say: “they taught us critical thinking in english class” is extra funny to me because there’s a genuine debate among Ed Heads about whether “critical thinking” as a discrete and decontextualized skillset can actually be taught :) so it’s pretty silly to go around confidently branding yourself as a critical thinker while simultaneously revealing that you’re extremely comfortable making assumptions about the relative simplicity of complex ideas which remain contested in their respective fields :) personally i would be pretty embarrassed to call myself a critical thinker if i also couldn’t stop myself from revealing i was totally lacking in the intellectual humility that would enable me to understand that we have yet to reach consensus on unbelievably complicated issues like how best to educate an entire population :) but i guess i was absent the day that tenth grade english covered running your mouth like an asshole on social media :)

I think it can be easy to overlook in the midst of all the other stuff Snyder tackles in his movies, but I love the way he writes romantic relationships.
Kora seeing kindness as a virtue worth dying for, and Gunnar being shown to be kind above all.
Kora resisting a deeper relationship with Den - who is described with attributes the villagers admire such as the best hunter and a loyal friend. Gunnar is shown to be just a simple farmer, trusting and honest to a fault, but it is him she wants is drawn to.
Kora believes she is incapable of loving and being loved. But it’s Gunnar’s love for Kora that saves her in the end.
