Anyway, if I had a nickel for every time a series had six installments that gradually escalated in ridiculousness, only for the sixth installment to end with a universe reboot and the seventh installment to pick up in a new universe where alternate versions of the original characters now exist in the distant past, I'd have two nickels.

One of those series is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The other is Riverdale

It’s a few seconds before he hears the sound of familiar steps, recognizing them immediately. Eddie’s home. Buck hears him coming, hears him stepping on that one squeaky floorboard two steps from the door – they’ve been meaning to fix that for ages – and finally the door opens, revealing a confused but pleased-looking Eddie. He’s in sweatpants and an old, stretched out t-shirt Buck’s pretty sure actually belongs to him, and his hair is all disheveled and flat on one side, like he’s been napping on the couch. He looks so perfect and so cute, and Buck wants to see him like this for the rest of his life.

i just started reading the pjo books cuz of the new show and i just wanna talk about luke for a second (im on the labyrinth book just as btw in case whatever i say is royally bad)

i see people all the time talking about how bad luke is, which i get cuz he betrayed everyone, but i just feel really bad for him. he just seems like a really angry and hurt kid who got manipulated into making a really terrible decision, that hes now too scared to go back on (the fear of admitting youre wrong is powerful and is something i definitely relate to) everytime percy sees him in his dreams he always points out how worse for wear luke looks, and how hes constantly getting worse. theres not really a point to what im saying, i just wanted to say it, but what my HOPE is, is that luke dies saving percys life cuz i love angst. but i dont expect it to happen tho cuz i think people would have a different opinion of him if he did.

steve, eddie, robin, nancy, jonathan, argyle, and chrissy are all like super close friends as children, and they experience this Horror (upside down related, ofc).

they think they defeat it, think they're safe to grow up and to live their lives. they make a pact though, that it it ever comes back, they'll come back too.

only it wasn't actually ever dead; it just went dormant. for 27 years.

one of them stays behind (steve), just in case. the rest of them get out of Hawkins, only to get that call 27 years later. the call they've all dreaded.

cue all of them reuniting (except for one, chrissy maybe since she's canonically dead) over dinner where everything comes flooding back. they have to fight this thing again, and this time they have to defeat it.

(of course, steddie would be a thing here, and maybe ronance and jargyle too)
