Andrew Garfield (I love the energy he brings to every role I've seen him in so far; and he seems like a decent and genuinely charismatic person irl as well)

Anya Taylor-Joy (every performance of hers has truly captivated me and I always look forward to when new movies with her comes out!)

idk who to really pick for nr.3, even now?? I rarely watch movies/tv shows soley bc of the actors, so it's sometimes difficult to remember whose performances I enjoyed most consistently 😅 Maybe Florence Pugh, cause she has such a unique and interesting charisma! But I've also only seen her in like two roles so far

(also idk if he counts, but the entire dimension 20 cast, especially brennan are also absolutely fantastic (improv) actors as well imo!)

as for celebrity crushes, I rarely have any myself 🙈 (maybe Anya comes closest to that) I find so many actors aesthetically beautiful or captivating in their craft, but don't really feel directly attracted to them. Which does most likely stem from the whole "being aro-ace" thing, but alas 😹💕

Things the fucking slap about the non Intrepid Heroes Dimension 20 seasons in order of release:

Escape from the Bloodkeep

Absolutely stellar party with Amy Vorpahl, Erika Ishii, Ify Nwadiwe, Matthew Mercer, Mike Trapp and Rekha Shankar

Includes the one familiar the Brennan refuses to harm, and it’s the most horrible creature you’ve ever met.

Speaking of J’er’em’ih, I don’t think Trapp gets as much appreciation for Sokhbarr as I think he deserves because when Trapp commits he fucking COMMITS. And that one very specific investigation check? Ooh baby it was so good

Speaking of boss ass moves, Rekha’s balloon ass fuckery was such a good move. And Ify being like “can we be bros with the eagles?” ending up being one of the best moves to do? Absolutely fantastic

Honestly one of the funniest seasons of D20 tbh imo. Like I do not like LOTR, so I didn’t think I’d like this season. But it’s such a hilarious season, no wonder it’s one of the side quests I feel like folks recommend the most

Tiny Heist

The McElroy fam? Even if you don’t listen to TAZ (like me) you know they’re a good time

The Rick Diggins speech is just so fucking bananas it’s so good. Rick Diggins is also just the most batshit character

Personally, I love heist stuff. It’s so fun! And I really found the heist itself to be so fun! (Griffin’s part it in is my favorite, Bean is adorable and I love him)

Also there’s always something so fun about the mechanics of tiny universes within our universe? The way they explain toys and stuff coming to life is really interesting and fun imo

Lily Du’s first time at the table and Jess Ross at the table! Speaking of I love how Jess completed her arch, she knew what was going down with her character and made a complete story. It was great!

Pirates of Leviathan

Personally I love this season, and our first time having Aabria at the table ahhhhhh (also my first encounter of “please have the camera focus on Aabria, she makes the absolute best expressions”) Plus, it’s back in the Fantasy High Universe which is always fun to explore more about the universes (and get some NPC cameos/appearances!)

Also tbh I love all of the PCs in this series? Like they’re all so interesting and unique, and are such full characters.

Literally the absolute best PC introduction that exists in d20, Bob I love you so goddamn much

There’s a goddamn Queer Eye joke in this season and at first it’s played for laughs but honestly becomes like… the softest thing? And it warms your soul? And it also features Matt Mercer as a tall ass rat man (this season also has a rare pair I ship and I think no one else does lol but I love it so)

Pirate T-Rex. Just feel like that alone needs its own bullet point lol

Mice and Murder

The mystery!!! Is so fun!!! It’s cool at the end of the season to see how everything was connected, and it’s fun to go on the journey with the party

Katie Marovitch rolling the first nat 20 of the season and not understanding the implications of a natural 20 for a good couple of minutes will always be funny

This season is pretty much all classic College Humor cast mates, so if you’ve been watching College Humor stuff for over a decade like me you’re sure to find some joy in it

Sam Reich has some of the most killer one liners in this season and he’s just such a fun character. Honestly, this season is just so goofy and everyone is just trying to make each other laugh. It’s delightful

The texting element!!! Is so dang interesting!!! And it works so well for the mystery

Misfits and Magic

The first season with a new GM!!!! Aabria!!! When that trailer came out we were all SHOOK, truly began a new era of d20 and we love it

And first time PC Brennan??? Listen he’s such a fun PC we love the strange lil guys he plays

Sam Black deserves so much more love, she’s such a fun PC. Like Danielle would just say one liners that would knock me the fuck out, she’s so dang funny

Listen one of the funniest moments to me will always be Lou and Brennan as their actual selves being like “Mukbang? That’s not a real thing right? No… no it’s not”

The fact that one of the animal companions is straight up just a basketball is hilarious and ridiculous

The Seven

If you love the Fantasy High universe and want to know more about some of the side NPCS, ooh baby they’re PCs now and they’re all played by hilarious cool folks (including our first time having Izzy Roland, Persephone Valentine and Becca Scott in the dome!)

This season absolutely feels like a sleepover with friends. Everyone is giggly and having so much fun, and it’s so fun to watch (and also emotional when you least expect it lol)

I’m having a hard time describing funny moments because it’s just one of those things where you have to experience it to get it? Like this season had me cry laughing but I will never be able to describe the sexy duck outfit as hilariously as Becca does it’s just so good

Oooh before we got killer costume descriptions from ACOFAF you better believe we got it during this season. And if you’re a big costume nerd like me you’ll just be like heart eyes mother fucker

On an interesting note, Brennan is kind of playing both an NPC and PC? Technically he’s still just playing an NPC but Zelda is like… part of the party (obviously part of The Seven). And it’s a fun change!

Shriek Week

Gabe Hicks is a delight as the GM! I am constantly thinking about the line “You may be yolked but this man is a straight up omelette” because it slaps and tbh I would love to see him in the dome again

I think this is canonically the only season where characters FUCK

Another season with a very fun cast, like all of the cast has big horny energy and it’s so silly! If you’ve watched this season you understand Lily’s energy in Dirty Laundry a lot more lollll

Also this season canonically has Mothman and The Count from Sesame Street as characters and it makes me giggle every time

Tbh I really wish this season had more time but if you’re looking for a super short series, it’s only four episodes long!

Coffin Run

Jasmine Bhullar is SO fun as the GM and I feel like really plays off the PC energy well? She was so much fun

This season is another one that is just goofy fun! And you know I love me some goofy fun (the whole eating letters thing is so stupid and so fun)

Personally think the sets for this series are SO cool like oh my god?? The trainnnnnnn ahhh

This is kind of a bigger spoiler but I will never be over the wine glass props for that one combat? When she pulls them out I DIE

This cast REALLY goes in on their characters and plays them so big, it’s delightful

A Court of Fey & Flowers

Do I really need to get into why this season fucking slaps? I’m pretty sure it’s one of the most popular side campaigns because it fucking SLAPS

Aabria is back as GM, bringing poetry and grace to the dome and ahhhh (like she literally recites poetry but also the episode introductions are just straight up poetic

This is the season of romance and brought me to the horrible realization that I like DND actual plays because mostly I like the role playing apparently lolllll

Outfits outfits outfits outfits ahhhhh we love some fantastic outfitsssss

The whole Green Hunter bit is so fucking funny

Anyways moral of the story is D20 side campaigns are fun and you should watch/listen to them

Okay, let’s do this one more time....

Her name is Persephone Pemberton. From Earth-713, she originates from the city of New Kiev, an amalgamation of New York City and Kiev, Ukraine. 

In this universe, the legend of The Scarlet Witch was treated as prophecy. Some sects even worshipped her as a goddess. So prolific was her mythos that eventually, Alchemax became determined to bring this prophecy to fruition. In order to do so, they began running human experimentation, lying to the masses that these experiments were meant for medical research.

Persephone became a voluntary subject of one of these experiments. Her parents died when she was young, and she was raised by her older brother, Patrick. From an early age, Persephone showed scientific aptitude, and a deep fascination with the meeting point where science and magic intersect. When she volunteered for the Alchemax program, Patrick volunteered with her.

They were bitten by a radioactive spider.....that had been infused with dark magic. Chaos magic.

Persephone survived. Patrick.....didn’t.

When she watched her brother die, the immense power that was now running through Persephone’s veins manifested all at once; pure and uncontrolled. All of her pain, her grief, her rage, all of it poured out of her in a single instant in a massive burst of magical power.

Her power l e v e l l e d the city. There was nothing left. No Alchemax. No Oscorp. No villains to fight. No people to protect. There was just.....her.

The Spider-Witch.

Persephone has become something more than just the Scarlet Witch. She is the point at which science and magic intersect. She can shoot webs and use magic to facilitate flight. She has telekinesis, enhanced physical strength, mind reading abilities, superhuman agility and reflexes. But more than even all of that....she can follow each string of the web that makes up the multiverse, and traverse it as she pleases. She can open up portals of her own between dimensions, without the use of a nifty watch. 

(As you can imagine, Miguel O’Hara does not like this one bit.)

With nothing left in her own universe, she began to travel the multiverse, meet other Spiders, help them defend their worlds. In many different Earths, Persephone Pemberton is known as everything from a world famous singer to a teacher of astronomy and divination.

Currently Watching: Dimension 20: Neverafter. I got like half way through it before I had to move, and now I finally have time to finish it off.

Relationship Status: Single. I’m in a weird position where I’m not sure if I even want to date or if I just want friends to do things with. Or both? Neither? idk.

How Charlie F*cked Up her Own Project Promotion

As a marketing copywriter, I can say Charlie’s promotion of her hotel is professionally lacking. 

(Note: I first started this as a fun post but ended up taking it seriously)

In the Hazbin Hotel pilot, Charlie presented her passion project. Unfortunately, it didn’t go well as she was laughed at and mocked on live TV.

While the viewers and the anchorwoman, Katie Killjoy, had been unnecessarily mean, their rejection is pretty much understandable in a marketing perspective. 

A copywriter writes persuasive marketing and promotional materials to persuade readers to buy, subscribe, etc. When Charlie promoted her hotel, she was trying to persuade the demons to go to the hotel. 

While copywriting is generally the art of selling through writing (video script, landing page, etc.), its structure is similar more or less to the art of verbal promotion. 

Before we begin, I’ll be referring to her hotel as a project and the demons that she wanted to go to the hotel as prospects. 

So here are the mistakes she made in her promotion. 

Lack of Research about Her Prospects

Getting to know the prospect is important. It helps create a persuasive promotion for them to take action. 

This can be done by interviews, polls, surveys, etc. Facebook insights allows you to know how many people of gender, age, occupation follow certain topics. 

From all this information, we can build a Prospect Profile.

YOUTUBE SUBSCRIBER PROFILE EXAMPLE

If you're a Youtuber selling knee braces through exercise videos and you want people to subscribe, who are your videos for? 

Knee braces are often used by athletes or the elderly. If your target is the athletes, you’ll need to build a Prospect Profile around them.

According to most buyer information, athletes who buy knee braces are mostly male (gender) athletes (occupation/hobbies) aged 20-40s. 

Now it’s time to delve deeper on what makes them tick: their desires, needs and worries. 

We can do this by giving surveys or taking note of video comments, etc. But from this buyer information data alone, we can have a better understanding of the prospects. 

These are active men who want to be at the top of their game. (desire)

Athletes will want to play their sport while keeping their healing knee in check. (need) 

Emotionally, athletes will also have pride in their performance. (desire). 

Athletes may also have the fear of not being able to play anymore, professionally or hobby-wise. (worries) 

With this Prospect Profile, we can persuade them to subscribe by showing how your exercise videos can help them with their desires, needs and worries about their sports performance. 

The same goes for Charlie’s approach to the sinners of hell.

THE DEMONS’ PROSPECT PROFILE

As a privileged Disney-princess-like character, Charlie is disconnected from her prospects who live a harsh afterlife. 

She believed in them that they deserve a chance to be redeemed. Which is a nice thought. 

But what she didn’t seem to know or understand is the perspective of the demons that she was trying to help.

For these demons, they are already conditioned to believe they are already the worst of the worst. They have demonic forms that remind them of their sins. They live in poverty and violence with the logic that they deserve to because of their sins. 

For them, redemption is already too late and impossible.   

What does Charlie know of them? What will motivate them to redeem? What psychological resistances will she have to take down in her persuasion? 

Surveys, polls and interviews are doable in order to answer these questions. 

By gathering information of her prospects and understanding them, she would’ve made a more persuasive pitch that is designed to their outlook. 

Weak Credibility, Zero Proof

As a copywriting professional who has to persuade people to take the desired action, this is my biggest pet peeve in Charlie’s approach.

Michael Masterson is renowned for inventing the Four-Legged Stool which is used to build a rock solid promotion. 

Here are the legs of the four-legged stool:

Credibility is proving beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the project will do what you claim. This can be done by being “scientifically proven” or by certifications, personal profile of the founder behind the project, etc. 

Track Record is proof that the project works on others. Track record can be in the form of testimonials or numbers. This can be stock performance, number of satisfied customers or even percentages such as “99.99% germs killed”.

Benefit or Promise paints a picture of what the project can do for them. Example is selling a sleek car with a unique fast engine (practical benefit) that also makes the buyer feel like an exciting individual (core emotional benefit).

An Idea must be huge enough to appeal to the prospect and simple enough to be communicated to someone else. This adds a unique and new dimension to the promotion. For example is Acorn, an app where you can invest spare change.

If the promotion only has three legs of the stool, it's liable to fall over. 

Now let’s look at Charlie’s promotion:

WEAK CREDIBILITY

Charlie is able to use her status as the Princess of Hell to add credibility to her project. Other than that, she has no proof that her project works as pointed out by Katie Killjoy. 

To prove that redemption can be possible, Charlie could’ve referred to studies showing the success rate of maladaptive behavior rehabilitation. Even expert opinions in religion could help support that a demon soul can still be redeemed.

Not Scientifically Proven. The rehabilitation system she has shown in her song “In Every Demon is a Rainbow” also has poor scientific proof. To the point that she is going to harm her prospects more than help them.

a. Abrupt Cutting Off of Vices. Throwing away their vices isn't preferable or effective to people who are reluctant to do so as compared to Gradual Reduction Treatment (DrugRehab.US).

b. Toxic Positivity. In another scene of her song, her patient was simply injected with positivity so that they'll be happy and full of kindness without reflection of themselves. 

As someone privileged enough to get the best education in hell, she should at least have a better knowledge in mental health.

NO TRACK RECORD

This is another leg of the four-legged stool that is missing.

Their proof of successful redemption is when a demon soul to goes to heaven by rehabilitating them. 

Angel Dust, as their first and only "patron”, is too premature to be part of the track record. Staying “clean, behaved and out of trouble” for two weeks is not yet proof of a successful redemption.  

 At best, what Charlie said is a naively hopeful but weak proof.

Even if Angel Dust didn’t get involved in a turf war, the demons have every right to remain skeptical when she couldn’t even give a successful track record of even one demon soul that had redeemed themself to go to heaven. 

Her heart is in the right place of wanting to help everyone. But she’s just wasting everyone’s time if it wouldn’t even work in the first place. There’s a time and place for the saying “Go big” and a time and place for “Start small”.

PROSPECTS DIDN’T BELIEVE THE BENEFIT/PROMISE

Her prospects would benefit going to heaven instead of being in hell.

Charlie did a great job painting a picture of a happy afterlife in heaven with her song “Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow”. Unfortunately, the benefits “Just puppy dog kisses and cotton candy dreams And puffy-wuffy clouds, you're gonna be like, wow! ” may not be well received by demons who had become jaded and cynical of living life in hell.

Aside from her lack of proof, Charlie doesn’t know her prospects enough to effectively reach them and dismantle their skepticism.

POORLY COMMUNICATED IDEA

The idea of her project is to go to heaven through redemption. 

While it’s easy to understand, the idea could’ve appealed to the demons with a more convincing approach if Charlie understood her prospects well. And if her idea is well-supported by facts. 

Her promotion only has two legs of the stool: Benefit and Idea. Her promo fell because she lacked research of her prospects. She lacked actual proof. She lacked credible information.

Because of all of these, she lacked the means to effectively promote.

The Art of Persuasion 

Persuading people to take the desired action is often difficult. This is why marketing professionals and companies exist. 

And this is where Alastor comes in with his charismatic seedy salesman mass communication skills and overlord status, making him the hope and solution to Charlie’s dilemma. Even if he did outright say that he was only interested in watching demons fail.

But other than that, Charlie, as one of the most privileged demons in hell, should have greater access to quality information and services on things such as marketing. And mental health science.

**HEADCANNON** probably can change after Dr Strange & MOM is released. Just another scenario that amuses me.

Premise: Post Sylkie reunion, the pair go to Earth looking for other people to assist with the Multiverse/Kang issue. Their first stop is New York.

Loki: OK...so, there's supposed to be some sorcerers living not too far from here...(consults map, holding it so Sylvie can see too)

Sylvie: (reads aloud) The Sanctum Santorum...? Do you really think human sorcerers will help?

Loki: It's worth a shot. It looks like it's a few blocks west of here...

A glowing circle of gold energy begins pulsating around his feet.

Sylvie: Loki...what...?

Loki: I don't know, I'm not doing anything!( He disappears abruptly)

Sylvie whirls, looking around frantically. She spots a card on the ground where Loki was a moment ago and picks it up, reads the address and sets off with a grim expression.

20 minutes later:

Steven Strange leans on the banister of the grand staircase in the foyer of the Sanctum Santorum, checks his watch. By his estimate, the companion of the dangerous individual Strange has trapped should have arrived by now. He frowns, beginning to wonder if he's missing something. He thinks he has every angle covered: the woman will show up, he'll prove how far outclassed she and Loki are, and get them to leave Earth quickly. He checks his watch again, and then crumples to the floor, unconscious.

Some time later, he wakes up, on his stomach, hog-tied and gagged. He has an incredible headache. He lifts his head as black boots step into his line of sight, and a blonde woman with a feral light in her eyes stares at him.

Sylvie: Right, now you're awake, I'm going to give you two minutes to return my boyfriend to this time-line from whatever dimension you sent him, or else things are going to get really unpleasant for you.

Strange: *muffled noises, flails*

Sylvie: *sighs* No, I'm not cutting you loose, idiot. We didn't come here to attack anyone, you brought this on yourself.

Wong, appears at the door: What the ...?

Sylvie, whirls and goes into defense crouch: Came here to talk, this fool attacked first.

Wong, completely done with Strange's bullshit: Okay, peace, lady. What's up?

Sylvie: First, bring back Loki from whatever dimension he dumped him into. We came here to consult with you lot about the Multiverse issues.

Wong, glaring at Strange: Yeah, Strange. Remember that mess you helped start after I TOLD you to not perform that spell?!? And you still wonder why you're not the Sorcerer Supreme.

Strange: *strangled screams*

Wong: I bet I know which dimension...

Sylvie: *sits on a chair, plants her boots on Strange's back, sips a beer she stole from the fridge* Carry on.

Wong: *raises hands, opens a portal* Here we go...

Loki, suddenly dropped into the room: I HAVE BEEN FALLING FOR AN HOUR!!!

Sylvie: Sorry, love, the one on the floor was being a dick. You OK?

Loki: *gets up, grumbling* I'm fine. Aggravated, but fine.

Wong: I was headed out to dinner with Shang-Chi and Katy, and then karaoke. *to Sylvie*: You and your man wanna come, we can talk about this multiverse thing with them. They're Avengers, they should know about this.

Sylvie: *shrugs* OK. Loki?

Loki: * eyeballs Wong* ....yeah, OK. Do we have to take him? *gestures at Strange*

Wong: No. Besides, he sucks at karaoke and thinks he knows everything about music.

Sylvie: Let's go, there's got to be better beer somewhere!

Wong: Strange is always buying that special brand crap. Thinks "expensive" means "good". *he and Sylvie exit the room*

Loki, standing over Strange: *smirks* Payback is coming, you second-rate street magician... *snaps his fingers and strolls out after the others*

2 minutes later:

The ropes binding Strange fall away. He slowly sits up and rubs his wrists, very annoyed about what just happened. He gets up and stumbles to the bathroom, rinses his face. Then he looks into the mirror, his widen.

Strange: SON OF A BITCH!! LOKI!!

*his carefully crafted hairstyle and facial hair have been replaced with unkempt tangled hair and beard, and his t-shirt reads "proud community College graduate". He spends two hours trying to restore his normal appearance.
