KAngel is like the best fucking character ever. If she was a real streamer I would watch her everyday. every second. I would be her number one fan. I would buy every piece of merch she had if she would ever sell any, I would buy everything she would want her fans to buy, I don't know, maybe I'm a bit obsessed but I really like KAngel. I also think ame chan is nice, too, I really like her design. I think KAngels character design is also pretty recognizable, which is good. It's also really fucking cute. Plus, KAngels hair is very recognizable too, although if I was designing her I wouldn't have thought of doing the dna twirly things, so that's something. I also think KAngel is very relatable, and I don't understand how some people don't relate to her. I actually relate to both ame chan and KAngel a lot. I think they're both really good characters, and I can see myself in both of them. If I could, I would spend a year only looking at KAngel. every gif, fanart, official art, video, picture, whatever. She's also really pretty, too. If she was a real streamer she would definitely get popular pretty quickly, I think. Doesn't it make sense, though? She'd be really pretty if she was real. I'm not like lesbian or anything, but. Yeah, she's really pretty. So is ame chan, they're both extremely pretty. I think you can appreciate another girl being really pretty without being gay, right? Maybe I'm just in denial but. I also really wish I had a KAngel and or ame chan cosplay. KAngel and ame Chan's character designs are really just that great, honestly. I would definitely be extremely careful with the cosplay, too. I mean, KAngel and ame chan's outfits are extremely cute and pretty. I wish KAngel was a real streamer, or at least have someone go on twitch or YouTube and stream as her in a cosplay or something. I do wish I had a KAngel and ame chan cosplay, but I barely have any money to buy it myself. I could make it myself or something, but I'm not that talented. I also think ame Chan's hair is very cute. Honestly, everything about KAngel and ame chan is cute. I wouldn't mind being her platonic girlfriend if she was real. We could be like mentally ill girlfriends in a not gay way. if that exists. I don't get how some people don't like KAngel. I mean, her design is recognizable and cute, her hair is also recognizable and cute, she's a mentally ill streamer, she has a pretty face, what is there not to fucking like? I love KAngel and ame chan so much. I relate to both of them a lot, and I draw them a lot, too. I also think the needy streamer overload soundtrack is really, really good. Maybe one of the best game soundtracks I've listened to. I think internet overdose and internet yamero are both very good songs. I mean, they're both very catchy and have good lyrics. Plus, Internet yamero has a trend or something. Even people who have no clue what needy streamer overload is have even done the trend. I think this means that even though KAngel isn't a real life streamer, she's still really, really popular. This must mean that if she was a streamer in real life, she'd most likely get very popular very fast. aghh, KAngel is just so perfect. I wish I could be her and at the same time I wanna be her wife forever. (platonically.) Also, all the KAngel cosplays I've seen have been very good and pretty. I also love seeing how they do KAngel's twisty DNA hair things and how creative they get with it. If someone were to pose as KAngel in streams though, they'd probably have to come up with a lot of ideas on their own, since KAngel's in game streams are so short (since, well, they're streams in a game, so they can't be that long.) Also, which KAngel streams would they do? cause there's no fucking way you can do all of them and still be alive afterwards. I wish there were more songs than just internet overdose and internet yamero, I've listened to both of them sososoosososososososoosososo many times. KAngel is definitely my favorite character and I fucking wish she was real. She brings me sososososo much joy. KAngel is pretty neat, I guess.
again! keep going anon! copy that copypasta! spread it! somewhere else!

Baby Roy Becoming A Singer Would Include:
Requested: i know you’ve been having a rough time lately, so get to this whenever you can!!! no worries or rush my dear ❤️❤️ i’ve been thinking about your version of baby!roy and how much i love them, but what if they never joined the waystar company? like the version of baby!roy that lives in my head never joined in & instead became a very sad and angry indie singer who used their music as a way to vent out their anger lol. idk i just think the idea of the youngest roy kid being an edgy little indie singer all the gay teens run to is funny & cute to me - anon
A/N: I know this wasn't a request but omg the more I kept thinking about it, the more I fell in love!!!! I hope you don't mind!!! I love this Baby Roy with my whole entire heart!!! Feedback is always appreciated 💜💜💜

You're a classically trained musician. Not just with your voice, but piano, violin, cello, and flute. If you were going to be interested in music, it was going to be Logan's way
He made you play every party, every gala, putting the money he invested to work. It was your party trick. You could play some of the toughest pieces of music with your eyes closed and your hands tied behind your back, but this wasn't your type of music. You liked it more indie, more grungey and grimey
You had band posters all over your walls, records and CDs and all your storage on your computer filled up by songs. You had a notebook you were constantly writing in for song lyrics
"What a cute diary!"
"Fuck off Rome."
Instead of sneaking out to go to parties or see partners, which you do too, you mostly snuck out to go to concerts. You bought the tickets without anyone knowing, seeing your favorite artists
All your clothes were band shirts from said concerts
You definitely have your hair dyed with tons of piercings, all of them diy just to spite your father. You got into it when you were a young tween and it just escalated from there
"Is that a tongue piercing?"
"Don't say anything, Shiv, please."
You always have your headphones on playing as loud as it can. Your father hates it. He's stopped telling you to take them off during mealtimes, but it used to be one of his biggest triggers
Your fights were brutal. Where Connor tried to disappear and Rome shrank, you only grew more fiery, more stubborn and passionate. Kendall and Shiv knew it would get you into deep trouble. Ever since you were little you'd decided every battle was a good enough one of to pick. It was like having two Logan's in the room
You sing often, all the time. You have a beautiful voice. Logan has even called it angelic, ever since you could sing you have been
But you use to to scream and sing all these horrible songs he would never let you listen to if he had that power. He calls it a waste of talent, you a waste of talent
When you're home alone, the place shakes from the speakers, your music playing so loud. Then you really feel like yourself, like you can belt it out
You start your own band when you're a teenager. You find the equally gifted musicians stunted by their parents and make your own beautiful music
The bands name changes so often, but eventually you find one both catchy and to the point
You have an artist friend make t-shirts for all of you and then a few extra, knowing Connor will proudly show it off
"This is amazing, kiddo. You should be really proud."
You use one of your fathers many garages, moving the car out for practice. It's angry and sad and your drummer wears too much eyeliner and your bassist needs a haircut, but you sound good. Really good
You get the word out at school talent shows and battle of the bands and play at people's parties basically for free. It's all about exposure
You become pretty popular. Everyone knows you for your music, not for your name or blood or even your siblings who went to the same school. It feels good, really good
When you're not practicing in the garage late into the night or playing at parties, you're singing at open mics and trying to get out there
Years you spend lugging your equipment and instruments and playing for a bunch of drunk teenagers/college students. It's what you love, even if Logan outwardly disapproves of it
Finally someone picks up on your sound, someone in the business, and it gets your career started
You get a manager and a record deal and suddenly you have tons of fans. Your social medias have never had so many followers, Connor being the first follower for all of them
Your shows are massive. Your fans love you, adore you, and you're sent in huge amounts of letters and art
You open for some of your favorite artists, artists you've looked up forever
You become a household name under a stage name, though everyone knows you're really a Roy. It can't not come up
As far as Logan's concerned, he only has four children. Because you're not fighting for his affections like the others, you don't really matter to him. Connor tries to make up for it, but it's not the same
When you sign up to go on tour you don't tell them, instead going out one day and not coming back for a few weeks/months. It's not like they'd notice
All of this hurt and anger is just fuel for your career, your songs
It's silly, to still want his approval, but you thought the fame and recognition would spark some sort of respect or love or something, but it doesn't. As far as Logan's concerned, your silly music is just a waste of time. It's a hobby, nothing more
You definitely have a song called Fuck Logan Roy. You have songs dedicated to all your siblings. Fall of Rome. Daddy's Favorite. Big Brother Always Watching. Sister, Sister. Even a few about Tom and Greg, though they don't know it and the titles are awfully mean lol
Connor tries to go to as many of your shows as possible. All your siblings have seen you perform live at one point or another. They all have different reactions
Connor couldn't be prouder. Truly, you are the light of his life, his little pop star
Shiv can understand the anger and hurt, but she doesn't love that you're airing out all their dirty laundry for all your fans to hear
Kendall definitely listens to your songs secretly. You're always blaring through his headphones. Only a Roy would ever understand what it's like to be him, summing up the situation perfectly. No other artist could ever get it more right. He pretends not to know, though
Roman goes once and decides it's too loud, leaving halfway through. He loves you, but he still remains skeptical, that this is one massive phase or tantrum that you'll grow out of. It's one big fuck you to Dad and that's all fun and games, but you'll have to grow up eventually
You don't care what they think. You've got what you've always wanted. It still feels totally surreal. Your fans are the nicest people alive. They're so kind and supportive and v against your father, even when you dedicate shows to him
The song writing and adapting never stops. You're always trying to get out the next best thing
It's never been about money or fame, though those are nice perks. It's about reaching an audience and proving them all wrong. It's not a fantasy, it's not something you should give up on
Going back to those coffee shops and all those nooks and crannies you used to play in, playing for them again, singing for them again
No matter what you do you know you will never have the respect of your father or his peers. The more your siblings fight, the more they become him, the more you lose
I definitely hear them sounding something like ANIMALS by PVRIS / Worms by Ashnikko / Black Sheep by Metric / anything by Grimes all mixed together lol. I only listen to female musicians sorry abt that!!!

Your Body, My Temple (Will Wood)
So, when the cattle fall dead and the waters run red, I'll be your lamb's blood on the wall/God isn't dead, but that's exactly what I've been dreading after all the meek inherited fuck all/Jesus Christ, I will die for my own damn sins if you help those who help themselves/My superstitions, your visage, my visions furtherin' the fever of your fervor, for believing, I will
I'll be your blessing in disguise, whip the mask off my good side/I'm all stripped down naked for you but still asking you to loosen up my buttons, baby/You've got my whole world in your hands, got that little blue spot/And you really ain't got no idea how much this thing orbits you, now, do you honey?
"the DEDICATION, the DEVOTION to whoever you can imagine is being sung to...the imagery is so so so good 😩 it's so catchy, it gets stuck in my head every time i listen to it, the emotions are just so good...you can imagine an individual so deeply infatuated with their lover to the point of revering them as holy, to the point of death...the way the word choice just flows so smoothly is so good aughhh- its also got surprisingly good loopability, in my opinion. 10/10 i want to beam this song into my brain it makes me froth from the mouth and shiver like a rabid animal and i'll be DAMNED if i don't make an oc inspired by it eventually. all the lyrics are peak. i am getting riled up just thinking about this song, will wood is elite"
"1. I want to sing this to my Muse. (If I had one...) 2. Will Wood songs just slap. 3. I've listened to the CHnT podcast, and get *all* the references! (Pink Elephant Man starts a cult dedicated to the camp nurse) 4. I'm using this song for the antagonist of my story, who gives yandere vibes."
Good Wife (Mika)
If it were me/I would be a good wife I would never doubt you/Ours would be a good life/And we could be/Better than so many/I would never stress you/About bringing home a penny/For all these things/Another life/I’ll have to wait/Would’ve been perfect/If only god had wanted/We’ll never know as we get old/Let’s not talk about it, rest your head upon my shoulder
"That feeling when you’re in love with your straight best friend and it’s unspoken but you both know it but neither of you will ever acknowledge it because you value the friendship more than a possible chance at love and you know they can’t reciprocate"

Danger Days - Part 2
Save Yourself - one of my favorites from Danger Days, definitely my favorite Danger Days intro, that simple opening melody is just so perfect, and then the lyrics, god the lyrics, every single line fucks so hard, and they’re arguably some of the best Gerard ever wrote, this song is just everything distilled: the anger and resentment while still being catchy and fun, the raw cynicism paired with the will and determination to live and care for others, the martyr complex in full force with contemplations on legacy and immortality, the song is just screaming “I’ll die for you! I’ll die for you!”, as a fuck you to the media and those who commodified their suffering and the suffering of their fans, and as a promise to their fans, I’ll protect you, I’ll die for you, I’ll die for you, and isn’t that the message underlying all of Danger Days and Conventional Weapons, christ, and then how legacy is tied into it: “We’re never leaving this place alive / But if we sing these words we’ll never die”, “We can live forever if you’ve got the time”,  “This ain’t about all the friends you’ve made / but the graffiti they write on your grave”, when making and joining a band saved your life but then spiraled out of control and fame threatened to tear you apart again but the very thing that’s killing you is also your legacy and the reason you will never die because you will always be remembered and hated and loved, and what kills you keeps you alive, the poison is the cure, oh my god, I don’t know if any of this is coherent, I love this song so fucking much
Scarecrow - on the surface one of the happier songs MCR ever wrote, but stupidly devastating when you really listen to the lyrics and learn about the context and deeper meaning, still such a bright, summery, comforting song, one of the most important Danger Days songs I would argue, especially the lyric “Love won’t stop this bomb” (3:07), which is one of the central themes on this record, and as a follow up to save yourself, the repetition of the idea that the end is inevitable and they’re going to die, but instead of anger, scarecrow is more about comfort, it feels like a love letter to their fans, the band still acting as martyrs but focusing more on the listener: “He burns my skin / Never mind about the shape I’m in / I’ll keep you safe tonight”, and knowing that love won’t change anything, but caring anyway, man, maybe Geoff Rickly is right
Summertime - a great transition from Scarecrow by keeping the cheerier sound but actually making it joyful through some truly tender and sweet lyrics, it’s so sappy, almost excessively so, but there’s something so pure and genuine about it, which I think is one of Gerard’s greatest strengths as a writer and a singer, to be able to write very simple lines that would otherwise sound cheesy and phony (think Famous Last Words “I am not afraid to keep on living / I am not afraid to walk this world alone”) but delivering them in way that feels so honest and resolute and making you believe everything they say, it’s also interesting how unabashedly positive it is considering the darkness and anger or bittersweet melancholy that seems to accompany joy everywhere else on this album, Summertime becomes a breath of fresh air
Destroya - completely unironically my favorite Danger Days song, actually the first I heard other than Na Na Na, it fucks so hard, I always have to sing along with the chorus, it’s just so infectious, and the drums, man, it’s one of the most aggressive and powerful sounding songs on the album, and there’s something hypnotically and subversively menacing about it, especially how it was performed live in 2022 with Gerard growling and screaming with demonic vocal distortion, it sounds like a kind of battle cry, which is part of why the extended moaning sections are such a bold and unique choice, but it works in a weird way, at least once you know to expect it (and it’s not live and Frank isn’t genuinely whimpered and groaning on stage sir this is an all ages show), it’s just so angry and weird and fucked up and incredible, and it has some of my all time favorite Danger Days lyrics like “If what you are / is just what you own / What have you become / when they take from you / almost everything?”, which is a brilliant line that ties into the themes of criticizing commodification and consumerism found on Conventional Weapons and Danger Days, also “You don’t believe in God / I don’t believe in luck / They don’t believe in us / But I believe we’re the enemy” is such a raw line, god it’s such a great song, fuck anyone who just reduces it to just the “horny” song
Kids from Yesterday - probably of one the best songs on the album, especially how they performed it live in 2022 and 2023 with the extended outro (Ray Toro what the fuck is wrong with you this is devastating), it’s so bittersweet and nostalgic and just brimming with love, they always describe it as a song for themselves and you can really hear and see the joy and love among them when they perform it, while other songs feel like promises to the audience, Kids feels like a promise to each other, “I love you. I love you. I will always love you”, it’s so fucked up, “I’ll find you when the sun goes black”, unforgiveable, and it’s also interesting how they revisit legacy as a theme (”You only live forever in the lights you make” is one of my favorite lines in the entire album) and discuss many of the same struggles of fame as other songs, but do so in a far less angry way, it puts less focus on the band as a single entity to be exploited, revered, and hated and more focus on the individuals and how their legacy relates to them as people and their connections with one another, god, it’s just such a stunning song, wish I could listen to it more but I literally can’t handle it
Goodnite, Dr. Death - I really like the radio transmission at the beginning, but I usually skip this one because I don’t feel the need to listen to the American national anthem on the regular, especially not with the very painful (cool sounding, but painful) jumpscare at the end, that being said, it might be favorite of Dr. Death Defying’s interludes, because it’s much calmer and more muted, almost soothing, but disturbing at the same time with how casually death is warned against in an address to children, really adds to the world building, and “Even if you’re dusted, you may be gone, but out here in the desert, your shadow lives on without you” is such a cool line
Vampire Money - so fucking funny, I don’t even know what to say, the iconic roll call intro and countdown followed immediately by the deeply poetic line “We came to fuck”, the fact that it was changed to “We came to suck” in the clean version, the fact that Frank says “Oh I’m there baby” sounding like he’s talking about sex rather than playing music, which he has never once (at least to my knowledge) properly said live and even refuses to acknowledge, the way the whole song is making fun of how people latched onto and then commodified their vampire symbolism and aesthetic early on, and specifically being asked to write a song for the twilight movies, god, I love how they’re so aware of and continuously willing to poke fun at how they’ve been portrayed and perceived over the years, and I also love how malleable this song is live, changing lyrics in little ways every time they perform it, another great example of Danger Days songs being best live

im a little late to the 3d discourse but id like to share my opinion on it
i personally liked it, the beat and the lyrics were great, the song is catchy and it gives justin timberlake vibes which i love. i love how jk is exploring himself as an artist and is comfortable showing different sides of him. i read the message of another anon saying that he'd been infantilized and sexualized for the majority of his career, and he's finally taking back the power and creating his own image rather than conforming to whatever box fans or the public want to trap him in. i think that's very empowering and i'm very proud of him for this.
what i had a problem with was jack harlows's verse. not only his part disrupted the flow of the song, the lyrics were also terrible and misogynistic. it's 2023, you can write a verse without degrading women, calling them thots, bashing on monogamy and lining up girls in the music video as if they were dolls to play with. if your artistry depends on all this, then you're not a great artist you're just a fucking misogynist (yes i'm insulting him as an artist, i don't care for his fans, yall can do better). it still surprises me how hybe let this pass this easily, the lyrics of jack's part could've been regulated a bit more. misogynistic lines aside, his rap and flow wasn't that great, he seemed bored and not trying hard enough for the song, and he didn't fit the vibe of the song. I agree that the song needed a rap verse to make it complete, but it could've been any other artist or the lyrics could've been less disgusting. some ppl might say i'm being sensitive or can't handle explicit stuff- there's a difference between singing explicitly and downright degrading women in a song. you can sing about sex and all that without objectifying women (take a look at seven, it was much more explicit and direct and it was very fun and respectful). even jk's parts in 3d were fun and respectful, so jack's part doesn't fit that vibe at all. even the music video was great, everyone's dancing and having fun, until jack's part came and they started lining up girls like toys.
yes everyone has the right to their own opinion, but we should use some critical thinking and basic empathy when it comes to matters like misogyny (which is a huge problem hello, we live in a patriarchy that's been stepping on women's necks since forever). whoever liked jack's part or that type of music in general, great i hope you enjoy the song, however i hope yall also reflect on it, bc subconsciously this type of media affects ppls thoughts and beliefs, and it feeds misogyny and even internalized misogyny. its 2023, we can do better than this, there's plenty of other artists and songs about sex and intimacy and fun times that don't contain misogynistic ideas (you can start with any women artists and go from there). now that i got this out of my chest, i'm gonna pretend the original version doesn't exist and continue listening to the alternate version without jack's part.
p.s. this comment wasn't directed to you or any specific person, just talking in general <3
nothing to add bc you honestly said it all, and i couldn't agree more 👍🏻

tagged by @enterprisery to put my spotify “on repeat” playlist on shuffle and list off the first 10 songs i get.
unfortunately my playlist hasn’t changed much since the last time i did this, so instead, i’m gonna put my “discover weekly” playlist on shuffle and rate the first 10 songs i get. so thank u for the tag babe but i will not be following a single rule.
🪸 erghan diado (song of schopsko) by bulgarian state television choir: we are starting off this list so insanely strong. i have no idea what made spotify assume i would like this but they were 100% correct. apparently this choir performs modern arrangements of traditional bulgarian folk melodies, and this song is from one of their most recognized projects. four stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🪸 choreomania by florence + the machine: i was surprised to see this song was written before the pandemic, but it turns out that welch based this off of the dancing plague of 1518, where 400 women danced themselves to death. what a cool coincidence that she released a song based on a phenomenon ppl theorize occurred as a result of plague-related stress post-covid. obsessed with the behind-the-scenes info, and the song is catchy. four stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🪸 becky by be your own pet: HOLY SHIT. ohhh no. “i heard u talked a lot of shit abt me / to ur new best friend / but it doesn’t matter anyway / cos i’ll find a new best friend / … but, you know, i gotta say / i loved going to your slumber party” this is fucking me up. childhood friends are like runaway cats u keep hanging up missing posters but u’ll never get them back. “he doesn’t miss carol not really or rather he doesn’t miss the woman she’s making herself into. kid carol tho … he misses that version of her sometimes” etc etc. this is reminding me so much of those homoerotic friendships i had at 8 with other girls that always ended in catastrophe, but i still remember their landline numbers. five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🪸 bury a friend by pomplamoose: i’m pretty positive this was recommended to me based on my obsession with loveless’s version of happier than ever. i love a good cover, and that one is fabulous. it adds a brutal new dimension to an already angry song. they bring a great alt rock/emo pop twist to it that i adore. despite how good a cover this one is, i can’t say i love it—i might be a little biased; eilish’s original is haunting and nightmarish and it puts everything it can into creeping u out. i don’t think this cover adds any new flavor the way loveless’ does. it mostly makes me want to listen to the original again. one star ⭐️
🪸 the ghost of chicago by noah floersch: this song is appealing to my love of the midwest. it wasn’t what i was expecting going in but i like it! it’s cute. i know it’s meant to be a “i like this girl so much that she haunts me” kinda ghost song, but tbh i like the idea of the narrator falling in love w an actual ghost much more. it reminds me of this wip i have where—no. i shan’t say. it’s a secret. three stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
🪸 old cape cod by patti page: … idek what to say abt this. i’m sure white ppl in the 50s thought this was a bop but i do not. zero stars :(
🪸 dizzy in sunlight by the blasting company, ashley nguyen dewitt: now THAT is how u make a dreamy, sunday-afternoon-esque song. the lyrics remind me of a mary oliver poem. “wade in the water / mud covered feet,” “the wind and my mother / they both hold me upright / …oh what a feeling / as the waters / rush over me,” “my sister riding her bike from the store / my grandfather smoking his pope out on the porch / …this life spills over me / and rocks me to sleep”. completely and utterly lovely. five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🪸 in dreams by sierra ferrell: i love the country and folk elements in this. i’m currently on a country music fixation and this is right up my alley. such a sweet-sounding love song, i added it to one of my playlists right away. four stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🪸 neutral spirit hotel by local news legend: omg this reminds me so much of some of my favorite penelope scott songs—sweet hibiscus tea comes to mind; both of these songs are folksy and have this self-deprecating element to them. “i think i say i’m quitting drinking every other week / but it’s so hard to stop / when it’s the only thing that let’s me sleep” dean winchester type shit (sorry). three stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️
🪸 down in the willow garden by the kossoy sisters: HELL YES a strong finish!! this is a traditional appalachian murder ballad about a guy facing the gallows after poisoning his sweetheart and throwing her body in a river. is me liking this song a loss for feminism? IDK. but i like it </3 four stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
i’m tagging @keepoffthetardis, @cabeswater, @youthbleeding, @minimyz, and anyone else who wants to do this! consider urself tagged

i've been talking abt my voltron playlists and @iveofficiallygonemad asked to hear them and i want to share with anybody who wants!! i know they're not perfect, i'm working on them & trying to make them better. if you have any recommendations for any of them, let me know!! there's like A Lot and i want to give a lil explanation for most of them, so i'm putting them under the cut ^-^
SO first i have my favorite one <3 it's just. all of them. it's the whole team. it's a mess and it's a bunch of different genres because it's them fighting over the aux cord on a road trip. it's them trying to make each other laugh or annoy each other or play something catchy enough it will infect everyone in the vicinity with brain worms.
Hunk: i'm pretty happy with my Hunk playlist! chill vibes. he strikes me as the kind of guy who listens to calm music to try to find his own calm, and that's what i got here :)
Pidge: this is messier and less cohesive than my usual playlist because frankly i think pidge would have a shit taste in music. all over the board. this is a mix of meme songs and 8-bit covers and vocaloid and stuff that i think pidge would genuinely connect with, and i think pidge listens to all their music on shuffle without any regards for genre or mood because they're a gremlin. nobody gives pidge sole control of the aux.
Coran hears 80's music for the first time and loses his mind. He thinks ABBA is humanity's single greatest achievement.
Lance: i have ideas about where I'm going with this but haven't really settled yet. Lance seems like the kind of boy that loves to dance (is that canon? i forgot) so most of these are Bops That Make You Move in some way or another. he likes to present an upbeat face to the world, so there's no angsting in this playlist! we are clinging to the things that make us happy with both hands until our knuckles turn white!
Keith: i'm gonna be honest. i made him a playlist but i honestly don't think he cares about music very much. it's very important to some people! he's just not one of them! i haven't cracked this playlist open in a while but i'm pretty sure it's full of songs that i think he would conceivably train/work out to.
Shiro: this playlist involves the dumbest headcanon i have for shiro that has just not left me alone since i first thought of it. most of the playlist reflects the fact that he had an emo phase in middle school (that one isn't a headcanon, you just have to look at him to know) but BUT there are a few songs on here that are on here because. little known fact. he also went through a Twilight phase that he told nobody about. (keith knows. keith was there.) he has the entire twilight soundtrack memorized. he moved past the story but the music stays forever. he used to daydream about slow dancing to Flightless Bird, American Mouth. the first time Coran mentions that they have to avoid a place because there's a supermassive black hole there, he has to bite his tongue in order to keep a straight face. do NOT ask me why i believe this so wholeheartedly.
Allura's playlist sucks right now. I think it's because in my heart of hearts i know that, were she on earth today, she would go fucking nuts for taylor swift. i have ambivalent feelings for taylor swift. i cannot do allura justice like this. if you see my vision and have recs as to what might actually fit her, PLEASE.
Klance: i haven't done it yet but i'm gonna go through this and sort it to be a sort of progression of their relationship, starting with the more combative Rivalry songs, then slipping into "oh shit oh shit" songs, then maybe ending on the more lighthearted purely romantic songs <3
(i have two songs in a shallura playlist which does not at all encapsulate how much i'm obsessed with them. the tiny cop inside my head is just constantly screaming at me that i'm going to get yelled at for liking shallura. i am going to kill the cop inside my head.)
#mj talks#oooooh i don't know if i actually want to put this in the show tag. that's a lot of people. that's a lot of people that might see this.#fuck it we ball#voltron#anyway. as i said if you like music and you have songs that you think fit please send em over#also who wants to talk about shallura? i want to talk about shallura.#i rewatched the first ~3 seasons (the best part of the show and some of season 3) with my roommate a while back and.#ngl if we're strictly talking about the show itself and not fanworks. i care about shallura SO much more than i care about klance.#oh i should probably tag#klance#in case anyone has that blacklisted and just doesn't wanna see it#BACK TO MY POINT.#rewatch seasons 1 and 2 and you will see there was a REASON everyone included shallura in the background of their fics#and it wasn't just shoving 'space mom' and 'space dad' together#there is a very real and very compelling dynamic there. the mutual respect. the connection that comes with taking responsibility.#watch shiro's whole deal after allura gets herself captured so that he can go free and try telling me it's all in my head. just TRY.#anyway i have a lot of complicated thoughts about shiro's sexuality and most of them boil down to I Don't Think It Was Planned#i think they shoved it in last minute because somebody higher up#(not the writers i don't blame u writers i know that you have people breathing down your necks telling you what you can and can't do)#some higherup didn't like any queer storylines that might have been in the works and pulled them from the show#but then there was fan backlash because... gay people are loud now? people wanted A Queer In Space? wild thought#so they had to save their ass and actually deliver on what they had promised in interviews/on the internet/idk i didn't keep up too much#because it was so clumsily revealed! there was no buildup!#it felt very shoehorned to me unfortunately. when a) they had already built a solid and compelling potential relationship for shiro#(see above)#and b) klance was? right there? like. dude. you /had/ to have seen that. or at least some of it????#backstory dead fiance was not the best move vis a vis queer representation and i reject him#if you want me to care about a relationship try going back to storytelling basics and Show Don't Tell :)#not giving you brownie points for that 'queer representation' :)#anyway. that's my shallura manifesto in the notes.

It is me, the anon with the unfortunate health scare, thank you so much for your kind words, they do wonders for this scary time. I don’t have much good news, but here’s a idea to tide the worry: If you had to choose a band to represent the Break A Leg!Boys (Separately or together is your decision) who would it be? I’ll be honest and say Moon gave Creature Feature vibes, but then again, some of Will Wood could work for the both of them.
Augh holy shit anon that suuuucks XPP I hope that you get good news and positive outcomes -- or at least a break from the thing @__@
Second of all though FUCK YEAH you have GREAT taste anon!!!!! Moon is so Creature Feature, yeeess!!!
I'm a huge fan of Will Wood, I fucking love how lively the music is!!! >: )))) I listen to it and I'm hyped up for hours fjdjd
Hmmm I'd assign Sun something liiiike Fall Out Boy? They tend to sing things full-chested, if you know what I mean haha
several minutes of looking through songs later because adhd and object permanence
You know what? I think you're right djdndn I really like a Will Wood Sun who's like really interesting and catchy and all over the place (like chaos but it has a direction - a whirlwind)/WILL exhaust you, but it's a great time cjfbdbd When he wants to, he'll talk circles around you and it takes you a long moment to catch and piece things together after xjdjd
And the style can fit both boys at once honestly with the way it jumps around, even voice-wise
And even the slower, more... reflective? newer songs work pretty well for both of them!
Thanks for the questions as always, they make my day!! 💖💖💖

KAngel is pretty neat, I guess.
anon? anon.

501ST’S LEGION PLAYLIST
Songs they blast while committing war crimes with Anakin Skywalker
Captain Rex, Appo, Jesse, Echo, Denal, Dogma, Fives, Fox, Hardcase, Kix, droidbait, heavy, cutup, Cody, Boil & Waxer (Yes, I added some 212th attack battalion clones because I love them and, also the whole Domino squad is here because in my perfect word, they all made it to the 501st legion, shhh)
1-Gosthbusters-WALKED THE MOON
If there’s something strange in the galaxy, who you gonna call? 501ST LEGION. Honestly, this song fits their vibe perfectly, even if this playlist is a mere joke, I feel like they would listen to this religiously, specially the Domino squad.
2-Never Gonna Give You Up-Ricky Astley
When master Kenobi and Cody join them for a mission, they enjoy this song unironically, as well as Rex, tho he’s better at hiding it.
3-You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)- Dead Or Alive
Fives and Echo dance to this together, end of story.
4-I Want It That Way- Backstreet Boys
Fives learned the complete choreography and forced the rest of the 501st legion to do so, Obi-wan and the 212th attack battalion always watch the show and clap with proudness at the end, but Boil, Boil wonders how the fuck they’re still alive.
5-Payaso de rodeo- Caballo Dorado
Ahsoka leds the way, boss queen can dance to this in heels, she even adds the little spin, she be forcing everyone to stand up when the song starts playing.
6-Welcome to the jungle- Guns N’ Roses
So, Boil’s song, yes, can someone argue that? No.
7-U Can’t Touch This-MC Hammer
Music hits me so hard, makes me say “Oh my lord, thank you for blessing with a mind to rhyme and two hyped feet’- Ahsoka and Anakin sing to this together while the clones do dance break in the middle of the ship.
8-Who Let The Dogs Out- Baha Men
Jesse: WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?
Everyone else in the ship: ‘BARKS INTENSIVELY’
9-All Star-Smash Mouth
The idea of the tcw characters as the Shrek characters is quite a concept, Anakin is donkey, not arguing that either.
10-I’m Too Sexy- Right Said Fred
Kenobi hates this song more than anything, but that ain’t stopping Fives & Heavy from feeling their selfs.
11-The Ketchup Song (Aserejé) Spanish Version-Las Ketchup
So…Ahsoka knows Spanish and loves to sing music in that language (it haves noting to do with me being Mexican ofc…) So this is her solo, the clones and Anakin hype her up doing their little dancy dance.
12-Pump It-Black Eyed Peas
Dogma be loving this song, and no one can change my mind, also Ahsoka always sings the Fergie verse, no matter what.
13-A Thousand Miles-Vanessa Carlton
Is this a dumb headcanon with zero arguments? Yes, it indeed is, but no one will ever change my mind about it, waxer loves this songs and Kix sings and cries to it every time it plays, no one really knows why, but no one cares enough to ask.
14-Y.M.C.A-Village People
Kenobi use to sing this to Anakin when he was a child to make him feel better, he even thought him the dance, so whenever the song plays the whole ship turns to Obi-wan and expect him to do it.
15-Like a Virging-Madonna
Am I dropping more dumb headcanons about Kix? Yes, because he loves this song, but not as much as Anakin, Anakin breaks his vocal chords when it comes to signing it.
16-Wannabe-Spice Girls
Once, cut up said, ironically, that this was the song of 'The domino squad' however, heavy took it very seriously.
17-Barbie Girl-Aqua
Grupal song? group song! It’s so catchy that sometimes even Kenobi catches himself signing the ‘Come on Barbie let’s go party’ line, and even if he think no one has seen it, Cody always reply’s with the little ‘Ah ah ah yeah’
18-Dancing Queen-From ‘Mamma Mia!’ Original Motion Picture Soundtrack- Merly Streep
Please don't notice how obsessed I am with Ahsoka and her wholesome relationship with the 501st clones, Rex always sings this song to Ahsoka, along with the rest of the clones as a magnificent choir.
19-Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)-Backstreets Boys
Fives has a bit of an obsession with the Backstreet Boys, but Echo won't let him die alone, so he always sings the little 'Yeah's’ in the song so Fives won’t feel so alone.
20-Mambo No.5 (A Little Bit of..)-Lou Bega
‘A little bit of Appo in my life, a little bit of Jesse by my side, a little bit of Rex is all I need, a little bit of Kix is what I see, a little bit of hardcase in the sun, a little bit of Echo all night long, a little bit of Fives here I am, a little bit of you makes me your man’ And after coming out with that line at 3 am in the morning, Anakin knew it could’t get any better, once Kenobi heard it, he knew it couldn’t get any worst.
THANKS FOR READING!
If someone is interested on the playlist, here it is!
20 songs, 1 hour and 13 minutes long, best listened in shuffle

I absolutely love how clearly you can hear the progression of ideas, confidence, and access to equipment operating so clearly when listening to Radiohead's albums in chronological order.
Starting way back with Pablo Honey where they were little more than an above-average guitar & drum indie ensemble with some catchy song writing.
Then the opening bars of Planet Telex on The Bends hit, and it's like, what the balls? There are feedback loops, phasers, flangers, filters, echoes and delays all over that. I don't know what sort of gear they used, and feel like looking it up would remove a little of the magic, but it seems like the kind of stuff you could fairly easily do with access to little more than a decent console, a reel-to-reel recorder, and a larger collection of guitar pedals than they had before, and I choose to hold on to that headcanon.
The album as a whole frequently veers back into familiar live ensemble territory, but there are all these little touches here and there that show them starting to branch out into new (to them) techniques, and I like to think they knew exactly what they were doing when choosing the heaviest showcase for all of that as the opener.
Then comes OK Computer. The use of layering really shines here; they're clearly getting comfortable with using the studio to "perform" as a much larger ensemble than they really are. Again, every track is littered with these little touches of filter sweeps in the background, haunting one-off appearances of things that might be sampled vocals, might be theremins, might be synths.
And of course the vocals on Fitter Happier.
Then a three year gap. Which isn't actually as large as I remember: there had been two years gaps between each of the previous three albums, but this one will always feel longer to me because I didn't discover them until the OK Computer days. It was actually the first time I started paying attention to contemporary music; up until that point I'd payed recorder in school (as in, I was the nerdy one who could actually play and kind of enjoyed it, in a class of kids who had it forced upon them and didn't care, as was the done thing in British schools of the era), liked the idea of classical but didn't really love it, had a singular played to death Kraftwerk cassette (The Mix), and knew I didn't care for what I was hearing on radio or TV.
Kid A. What a rollercoaster. Does the opening track, Everything in its Right Place, contain a single acoustic instrument apart from Thom's voice? Again, I think they knew exactly what they were doing putting this one front & centre. It's synths, but it's not synth pop in any way, shape or form. These aren't the cheesy FM presets of the 80s. They were a medium different from the guitars and drums that had come before, but the message is still unmistakably Radiated. To anyone who'd been paying attention, anyway: people fucking hated it. Even I didn't know what to make of it at first.
Then they doubled down a year later with Amnesiac, like a massive middle finger to all the haters who just wanted them to keep doing what they'd been doing.
Which, ironically, is exactly what they were doing: but what they'd been doing all along was growing and evolving, they just took a bigger step this time.
Years later people have come round; to Kid A, at least. But they took their time. Amnesiac still gets little love, but go back and give it another chance. Pyramid Song. Knives Out. Dollars and Cents. Even the meandering two-minute one guitar, one synth noodle that is Hunting Bears. It's not the monument people wanted, but I maintain that it IS a monument.
I could go on, but I won't. It's a shame that Radiohead as a band barely exist any more; they've all started various side projects, the gaps been albums are getting longer. A Moon Shaped Pool came out seven years ago. But sadly it makes sense, given that their whole thing was always about finding new ways to express themselves.

the most difficult tag game to ever attack me in my hour of need (what she means is a saturday) ✨️
I was tagged by @kimchokejin to post my top 5 of bangtan songs!!!!! haha THIS IS FINE!!! very happy to have an opportunity to talk about my favourite songs but VERY SAD I HAVE TO CHOOSE. 😭 thank you Ashley, reading your post was an amazing experience and I recommend it to all. 😩👌 you're lucky you're not only smart, but also funny and pretty, otherwise you'd catch these hands in the metaphorical parking lot of life
WITHOUT FURTHER ADO and no specific order:
🍷dionysus🍷
I wanted to start with a song that actually got me into bangtan!! JUNG HOSEOK YOUR MIND. I think I've told this to some of my lovely mutuals here before, but to me this song is really built like a rock song if that makes sense?? the build up and structure is so similar!! but it is also so HIP HOP and CATCHY and lyrics are ABSOLUTE ART. as a greek mythology hoe i had no choice but to stan bangtan sonyeondan. it is also widely known as natalia's wine song among my friends so you can say i like it a little.
🥲outro: tear🥲
I love this masterpiece beyond words. If I had to pick just one bangtan song to listen to forever, I'd possibly pick this one though PLEASE DON'T TELL MOM* (*my other bias). This song got me through a lot!! The lyrics are so beautiful and heartbreaking, and it hits even more after you know the context in which they were written. YOONGI MARRY ME as usual he is a genius he said so himself but also Hobi kills me every single time with his performance of the last verse. I have NEVER not cried watching a live performance of him rapping it. The emotions he gets across are... pardon my French but holy fuckity fuck.
😩lie😩
speaking of my other bias... LISTEN. I love Filter as any other folk BUT if I have to pick just one out of Jimin's solo songs, it has to be this one. It has it all, beautiful performance, identity crisis vibes, stunning vocals of the baby himself, AND THOSE LYRICS TOO. It hits so much especially if you've had to hide yourself in one way or another, and it can be applied to so many situations - power of art and Park Jimin. also, in my mind, this one and bs&t are connected...? idk if by the vibes or the era, but I love both of them almost equally, though this one still hits harder. also, although the performance completes it very well and Jimin can express the emotions so well through movement (one of my very favourite things about him as a performer), it can easily stand on its own and it's still so captivating!!
🦋butterfly🦋
This song is so beautiful in EVERY SINGLE WAY. The soft vocals, the longing, the lyrics!! It's such a good depiction of young love (or just very soft love, sort of 'too-good-to-be-true' love), NOT TO MENTION THE HARUKI MURAKAMI REFERENCE I SEE YOU KIM NAMJOON (and I love you). It might be my favourite track from the whole HYYH era actually though please don't ask me 'and what about [insert track] cause I WILL change my mind. The vocal line shines in this one, not only for their skill but PRIMARILY their emotional expression. I'm a big fan in case you haven't noticed??
🦢 black swan 🦢
I honestly love this song so much!! Not only is the concept beautiful and the performance is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING HAVE NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE (bangtan sonyeondan trendsetters), and even the mv is something you can watch multiple times in one go because it's so aesthetically pleasing, but also there is the song IN ITSELF. It's so raw and honest, and let me preach about the lyrics once again (KIM NAMJOON!!! CATCH THESE HANDS!!!) - it's such an amazing depiction of an artistic burnout, oh my god. the idea in itself that the first time an artist (or here more so a dancer) dies is when they no longer have energy to continue with their craft... IT'S SO POWERFUL.
🤧epilogue: young forever🤧 no this is not 6 you just can't count sorry you had to find out this way
this one is just always going to hit different, and even more so the live version. the lyrics are... I can't even stress it enough, but they might have altered something in my brain chemistry. The idealisation of youth, never wanting your best moments to end, but also knowing that there is no way to stop the time from passing - WOW. WOW. Also I especially love the lines about running endlessly towards your dream even if it hurts you - it just HITS SO HARD. Even though in terms of the way it's built, it's quite a simple song, it really gets the message across perfectly and I love it for its straightforwardness!!
honorable mentions: whole bts discography actually but especially autumn leaves, mic drop (my most streamed bangtan song), boy meets evil, epiphany (I WISH IT MADE TO THIS LIST TF it's so important to me), paradise, outro: her (BIPHOBIC THAT I CAN'T PUT IT ON THIS LIST), magic shop, intro: persona, first love, make it right, home, intro: singularity (AND SAME WITH THISONEHSIFKDK) .. ok I should stop???
hello to my fellow sufferers 🫂💗 I'm doing this out of love I swear, and also NO PRESSURE AT ALL this shit hurts: @pjm-1 , @wistfulocean, @shrimpmsg, @aprylynn, @hopeonthestreets, @hopeinthebox, @cordiallyfuturedwight, @ki-limepie. 💗

Swedish music recommendations you say?👀
I don't listen to a ton of music in Swedish. Funnily enough the song I listen to the most that's in Swedish is När jag blundar by Pernilla Karlsson (it fucking slaps! Fight me!!) but here are som recs as requested
Vinternoll2 by kent - when I first listened to it I didn't even realise it was in Swedish😅 No idea which language I thought it was in at first. but I love it, it's great
Andas and Dansa hur jag vill by Maxida Märak - she's Sámi artist who makes rap music in Swedish. I listened to her a lot when I was younger but these two song stuck with me. I especially like how she uses yoik in Andas even tho it's in Swedish and not Sámi, I think the world needs more of that
Vilse i Oskarshamn by Lånad Tid - this is just a fun song. It's catchy and the lyrics are really fun
Behöver inte dig idag by Clara Klingenström - She actually competed in Melodifestivalen 2022 (i think) but didn't win, obviously. Even though I personally wanted her to :') It's a sweet song and I so wish Sweden would have sent a song in Swedish to eurovision (but they are cowards!)
Hiiiiiii!! 🥰
När jag blundar DOES slap and you should absolutely say so!! 🥺 So underrated 🤧
Kent is actually one of my brothe's favourite bands so I'm somewhat familiar with their stuff. I can't remember ever hearing this song though and omg it slaps so hard?? Totally adding it on my playlist 😌
Andas sounds like kind of an Eurovision-esque song? 🤔 and yes the world absolutely needs more yoik! Rap isn’t my favourite music genre though (BC's rap is a case of its own) 😅
Vilse i Oskarshamn was also just added on my svenska playlist, I especially love the mouth organ 👌
I have a vague memory of hearing Clara Kilngenström in Melodifestivalen, and yeah I wouldn't be mad either if this song had been sent instead 🥺
Thanks so much for the recs, have a great day 🥰 💗💖💕💓💖💗💕💓💖

omg u like maisie too how have I not known this...do u have a top 5 from tgw (oh tell me any least favorites too bc I love talking shit even when it's an artist I like plssss), I wanna compare bc I have STRONG opinions about this album!! (this is swiftie anon btw)
Yes yes yes I have very strong opinions abt it too & have been looking for an excuse to ramble on so thank you as always for letting me screech about music 🩵🤍💙 so my top 5 currently is as follows:
1-Watch (we love a devastating banger, I cannot wait to scream that "WHAT THE FUCK!" refrain w/ the crowd when I see her live. it was extremely hard deciding between this and my number 2 choice, like honestly putting anything over the history of man does feel kind of criminal but the chorus of watch has got to be the catchiest part of this entire album to me. also "telling the wide web that this is my era then writing a lot of heartbroken music, nobody actually happy and healthy has ever been so desperate to prove it" love that opening line. And the ENDING...ugh. anyways I give this track a gold star⭐ for free)
2-the history of man/the good witch (I consider these a pair since they're the same melody. phenomenal way to open & close the album and lyrical perfection, the first time I listened to the history of man my jaw was literally on the floor the whole time. quite literally a masterpiece, the lyrics actually kind of remind me of the way Lorde writes which is of course a compliment. like I'm sorry but "he stole our youth and promised heaven, the men start wars but troy hates Helen, women's hearts are lethal weapons, did you hold mine and feel threatened? hear my lyrics, taste my venom, you are still my great obsession" what the ABSOLUTE FUCK Maisie. like actually does she have any idea what that bridge did to me...offensive. appalling. illegal. I am deeply unwell)
3-coming of age (another certified banger. I looove the production on the verses, that bass line is crunchy as fuck. god I am weak for a stripped down bass backing track it always gets me. this song is just simply catchy as all hell.)
4-you lost the breakup (wbk this song rocks & its a great choice for the lead single. love how she changes up the chorus at the end it is everything...I hope she's predicting the future w/this. manifesting it. I'm rooting for her.)
5-BSC (another one I know is gonna be so fucking fun to scream along with at live shows!love it love it love it. screamed out loud at "I am both Kathy Bates and Stephen king, I can write you out the way I wrote you in" bc I love Misery so much...if you have seen it you will know how goddamn good this line is!!)
honorable mentions-want you back (emotionally devastating even though I can't relate at all, and so pretty melodically!) and yjabaiktm (simply a very fun song, a bop for sure)
my most controversial opinion on this album by far is that I do not fuck w/run at all. I just don't like it sonically, to me it sounds like it belongs on the lazy town soundtrack and not even one of the ones people unironically enjoy like we are number one (outsold by far). It's a shame tho bc the lyrics are obviously exactly my vibe & most ppl seem to love it + Maisie is promoting it a lot...wish I liked it but I just. can't.
