Wukong knew better than anyone that your concerns spiked after the Lady Bone Demon possessed him. Seeing him like that scared you for good and after it was resolved, it took a long time for him to convince you that he was okay and you weren't going to lose him.

“What's wrong, Wukong? Not showing off anymore?” Macaque smirked. “Your little girlfriend is watching, sure you wanna show her who her real boyfriend should be?”

Now that pissed him off. 

Believe it or not, Wukong was no fool and at the back of his mind, he knew that Macaque was just saying things to get under his skin. However, his possessive nature overruled any bit of common sense or self-control when it came to you. So, as the emo-monkey expected, Wukong shot toward him with a new purpose and ferocity that took Macaque by surprise. 

“Was that really all it took to piss you off?” Macaque laughed and you scowled. He would most definitely get a slipper to the head later, maybe it will wake up some sense in him.

“These two,” you grumbled under your breath as all you could do was try to catch the fast movements of the two as they continued to go at it.

“Monkey King looks really mad now,” Mei commented from beside you.

“Wonder what Macaque told him,” MK asked from your other side.

“I don't want to hear anything from either of you,” she scolded the two that got the monkeys fighting in the first place.

“Sorry…” the two mumbled in guilt.

“Wukong!” you cried out seeing him get slammed against the side of a mountain, which made blood start to fall from his head. Now that was the end of the line for you. “Sun Wukong, that's enough!” you suddenly snapped which got everyone's attention, especially his. 

“Whoa, full name. Someone's in trouble~” Macaque grinned which made Wukong glare at him but let it go as you called him once more. Wukong jumped onto his cloud and flew over to you immediately; he then got off his cloud and landed in front of you.

“Hey, peach. You okay? You're shaking,” he held you close and buried his face into your neck.

“Stop fighting now… Please…” you mumbled into him as you clenched onto him as if you'd collapse if you didn't.

“What, that? Pft- that was more me beating on Macaque without a doubt,”

The trip back home in Flower Fruit Mountain was silent and was a time you took to clean his wound with a cloth you kept with you just for having its sake. It always managed to come in handy with a soulmate like Sun Wukong. When you two were safe in the privacy of your mountain home, Wukong jumped off the cloud with you still in his arms. 

“Wanna tell me what happened back there?” He asked and walked you both to the modern house you insisted that was located behind his little hut or ‘man cave’ as he liked to call it since the home was made. You didn't speak, only looked the other way with stubborn puffed-up cheeks. 

“Stupid monkey,” you grumbled, still not looking at him.

“Awe, don't be like that, Peach,” he grinned a bit knowing that you managed to calm yourself down a bit.

“You know how I feel about you fighting after-”

“I know,” his voice was soft as he nuzzled your cheek. “But that one was unavoidable and harmless!” he tried to defend, but the recently cleaned blood that was on his forehead made his last statement redundant. You raised a brow at him, asking him if he was stupid without having to say the words. “I'm retired now, that's why I took MK on as my protege, remember?”

“Yeah, but…” you mumbled, but it hurt to bring up what was to come in the inevitable future.

“Hey,” he held your chin and made you look at him. “I'm immortal! Can't die-”

“You know damn well that there are fates far worse than death,” you stated rather harshly as you cupped his face. Your words hit him where it counts. “Just because you tricked me into eating that immortality peach or whatever it’s called doesn't mean I want to wait another 500 years for you if you piss off the wrong people again.”

“Very funny,” he nuzzled your cheek, then your neck, all over your face and continued to do so repeatedly till you were nothing but a giggling mess that tried desperately to push him away.

“Hey! Don't try to be cute and cuddly  and lovable when I'm trying to scold you,” you tried to sound stern, but his long, fluffy and fragrant fur tickled your skin as he continued his kiss attack. “Okay, okay! I get it, stop,” you laughed a bit.

Remember when Mei freaked out about the Samadhi fire? When she went out of control and people deemed her as a lost cause? Everyone except Mk. Mk stated that she is his best friend and he would never abandon her, as it then cut to Wukong looking at Macaque before Macaque abandoned the situation (once again), and then Mk ran into the fire, the hottest fire there is, just to hug and save Mei. He traveled everywhere just to find Mei after she ran off. It showed that they are nothing like Wukong and Macaque's relationship.

And when Mk freaked out as well and ran off? Mei gave Mk the space he needed to feel better, because she knows what it was like and how it felt to be labled as a monster due to something out of her control. And she knows that spending some time alone, getting help from the person you would least expect, can help someone feel better. And when Mk came back for them? She was happy, and they all hugged.

Ooooh and I can ALREADY hear the comments "But what about Mk's monkey form?" "What about Mk saying he feels like the warrior?" "What about Mk getting a lot of the spotlight moments instead of Mei?" "What about Mk being paralleled to Wukong and Mei being paralled to Macaque in so many things?" SHUSHY SHUSHU, I HAVE ANSWERS

First off Mk and his friends show no fear or hatred towards Mk's monkey form. They embrace it completely, with Mei even calling Mk as their "Monkey man". They cheered him on when he defeated Ink Mk as a monkey and they welcomed him back with full open arms when he came back to them. Wukong and Macaque show no problems with it either. Could Mk's form go out of control? Possibly. Is it very dangerous? Possibly. Will they treat him any different because of it? Absolutely not. If you think Mei and the whole gang wouldn't run in to save and help Mk if his monkey powers got out of his hand, thinking they are soulless monsters prepared to strike him down at all costs instead, then you have absolutely NO clue on how their friendship works. They will be FIRST IN LINE to help Mk and calm him down and wouldn't treat him or feel about him any different after the fact.

Mk feeling like the warrior was because he felt abandoned by Wukong, not by anyone else. Especially not Mei. And Mk gets more spotlight because he is the main protagonist. Wukong and Macaque are paralleled with Mk and Mei because they are supposed to represent what they could've been together and what they could still be. Mk and Mei are everything that Wukong and Macaque aren't and that's the whole point.

Whatever happens in the future I still stay strong on my opinion that Mk and Mei's friendship, along with their friendship with others, is a stronger than the tie that history could repeat itself and Mk proved that right at the very start when he rushed into the fire to save Mei without any hesitation declaring to everyone, including Wukong and Macaque, that he will never abandon her. And she will never abandon him. And that's important.

Hello! This is my first time sending an ask and I wanted to know if you could give a quick description of some of your au's.

I'm new to your page and i'm curious about them.

Right!! Okay!! Sorry this took so long and I'm sure I'm gonna forget one or more of them but here's as many as I remember with summaries-

Uno Reverse Card Swap AU: Red Son runs a cafe, MK works at said cafe (Pigsy and Tang both work at the local university), Mei also works at the cafe. Mei and Red Son are secretly vigilantes, who guard Monkey King's staff, which is sealing the Lady Bone Demon. One night the alert goes off, and they find that MK has lifted the staff. MK gets inducted into their lil team + Wukong breaks down the door of the cafe to announce that MK is his successor now. (As for personalities, to make it quick; MK is a lot shier/anxious in this AU, Wukong is a lot meaner (kinda like a tsundere but like for EVERYTHING. also he swears a lot), Red Son's more chill... also Red Son uses water guns hslfkjslks. ...oh and also MK is a scientifically made clone of Wukong because humans wanted a "controllable Monkey King" but that's not important-

(... that summary was a lot longer than i thought it'd be and i didn't even mention half of the stuff going on in it. ...oh boy this post is gonna be longer than i thought it'd be.)

Giggle Glow AU: this one is fairly easy to explain; basically, Wukong glows when he laughs. this spreads to MK and Macaque. in some scenarios this also spreads to the others as well but that's Basically It. despite it being so simple I love this AU with my whole heart.

Phantom Thief AU: essentially?? Mei comes from a long line of phantom thieves, Pigsy, Tang, and Sandy used to be a phantom thief trio, and, due to being raised by Pigsy and Tang + being friends with Mei, MK is also a phantom thief. the funniest thing about this AU is that the other characters all start the same as canon- the differences are that when Wukong finds out about MK's second 'job' he demands that MK teach him how to be a phantom thief. Oh, and, also, Red Son has a crush on MK's phantom thief persona, and had NO idea that he was also MK for a while. He started looking for someone to train him to be a phantom thief at some point, and ended up somehow becoming Macaque's apprentice.

Fruit Smoothie AU: a lil similar to Uno Reverse AU- Red Son and Mei run a smoothie truck + are heroes/vigilantes (albeit it didn't start that way- Red Son was initially a villain that Mei ended up redeeming). The difference here is that they meet MK, the new vigilante on the block (who takes forever to reveal details about himself to them; he doesn't tell them he's the Monkey King's successor at first and instead makes up a lie that he's from a reclusive demon family), via him literally slamming into the back of their food truck, injured, and them having to take him back to their shared apartment to treat him. ...Also in this AU Macaque escapes from LBD and needs somewhere to hide so he throws on a human glamour and gets a job working at their smoothie truck shflksdjfls. Only MK knows it's him for the longest time.

Fantasy Break AU: Wukong and Macaque fall through a magic mirror mid-fight and end up stuck in this ballroom where the doors teleport them into different stories/myths. They have to complete all the stories in order to get out.

Shadowheart AU: Macaque is cursed to end every sentence he says with "I Love You", takes the over dramatic route of just Not Saying Anything, and this leads to Problems.

Slapstick AU: Essentially, in this universe, demons decided that fighting with violence was just, y'know. Not a good game plan. So now fights are fought via comedy. Whoever can land the best joke (slapstick, stand up, even a knock knock joke), wins the battle. (LBD does not follow this rule). Oh also Wukong is cursed; but the curse works to his advantage via making people think he's a master at slapstick comedy. (Macaque, on the other hand, is just clumsy).

Twinkle Twinkle AU: Wukong and Macaque both have star-freckles on their face + ears that reflect the stars that are currently over top of the people they care about- it's kinda like a map to be able to find their loved ones, essentially.

Electric Avenue AU: MK, Pigsy, Tang, Mei, and Sandy (who are a band) end up trapped within the Demon Dimension, and MK accidentally ends up with all of Wukong's powers after an incident, leaving Wukong powerless. This AU is very much inspired by an 80's cartoon that was themed around 80's music, so this AU is based on that too (+ with some of their outfits being 80's themed as well). LBD in this AU is running a band that steals music from other people and pretends to play it while LBD uses a magic record player to hypnotize people/cause other magic effects. Kind of a battle of the bands AU?

Melody AU: SPEAKING OF MUSICAL AU'S!! this one has a bunch of my OC's in it but outside of them the main plotline is that there's a magic barrier protecting the city and Wukong needs to supply it with magic energy to maintain it and the easiest way of doing so is through song, so he became a pop star (sorry, no stagefright in this AU). one night, when MK, Mei, and Red Son get the chance to do their first performance (or, well, MK's first performance), MK accidentally releases such an enormous surge of magic power that the barrier cracks, allowing the Lady Bone Demon to get through.

Sitcom AU: this AU can mostly just be summed up by "they all share a giant mansion of a house. shenanigans ensue". (and by all i mean ALL).

Sundrop AU: due to bottling up his emotions for so long, any emotion that isn't happiness or sadness will cause Wukong to go into his kaiju form. (there's more to it than that but that's the simplest way to put it)

Forget-Me-Not AU: in this one, MK is the reincarnation of Xiaotian, who was Wukong's apprentice centuries ago. Xiaotian is.. kinda haunting MK, and they need to find pieces of a magical object in order to fully free Wukong- who's been turned to stone and hidden within a garden- he can be free when MK is there, but he can't leave, and turns back to stone whenever MK is a certain distance away. In this AU, MK was actually found and raised by LBD, so he's uh... a little traumatized, I'd say.

Flightless Birds AU: basically one of those AU's where everyone has wings- except MK was born with wings that are too small for him to fly, Wukong's wings were severely damaged by the mountain, and Macaque is missing a wing.

Platonic Soulmates (Soulmarks??) AU: everyone has multiple soulmates; you and your soulmate decide what the definition of soulmate means to you, essentially. Wukong has the belief that anyone he's soulmates with will meet a terrible fate, and so tries to avoid the subject altogether and theres SO MUCH MORE BUT THIS POST IS SO LONG I GOTTA MAKE THESE SUMMARIES SHORTER

Mixup Mashup AU: I haven't touched this one in a LONG time but it's basically an AU where MK, Mei, and Red Son are sharing a body (Red Son's body, specifically), and Wukong and Macaque have swapped bodies (due to the same incident that caused the trio to fuse).

Sunset Wukong AU: Wukong is cursed so that if he uses his powers during the day, he will slowly turn to stone. The process reverses at the end of the day, and he can use his powers during the night freely. He avoids telling MK this for a while hsdflsldfjs. (TBH this whole AU was made so I could make a Macaque vs Wukong fight scene that would be similar to that one Hibiki vs Miku fight scene in Symphogear but then I never wrote it)

Doppelganger AU: An AU where Wukong freed Macaque before going to save MK at the end of s2- and, basically, Macaque and Wukong swapped places. Or to put it in a way that's easier to understand: the Wukong that shows up at the end of s2 is actually Macaque in disguise. Eventually Wukong rejoins them on the airship, disguised as Macaque, and the two just... instead of explaining anything, decide to keep this illusion up? (Sandy and MK are the first to figure them out and... kinda help them with it a bit).

Rock Garden AU: different types of plants and flowers grow on Wukong based on his emotions.

Sway AU: When either Wukong or Macaque dances, the other is forced to copy their movements perfectly.

Chocolatier Macaque AU: this is basically an AU where Macaque decides, post ep9, to just. run a chocolate store instead. despite the fact that chocolate is literally poisonous to him. He wears a human glamour for this (MK figures him out pretty easily but does NOT figure out Wukong's human glamour which is hilarious). Wukong keeps showing up in a human glamour as well just to banter with him. There is some plot development and angst moments involved.

Zing AU: it's been so long since i've thought about this one actually but in this AU Wukong gets cursed while travelling with the gang so that he just. to put it simply has moodswings/personality-swings that are accompanied by his eyes changing colour

Shy!Wukong AU: I only ever wrote one fic for this but I'm mentioning it anyways since I love it so much; basically the years of solitude on the mountain made Wukong REALLY shy. like SUPER shy. and he has a really hard time talking to people (he outright spends his first meetings with MK just leaving sticky notes for him instead of actually talking to him). He'll hide behind trees just to avoid social interaction.

Double Heart AU: Wukong had his heart stolen, literally, like ripped out of him, by LBD. This affects his emotions: leading him to have three different states depending on the time of day; in the morning, he's mainly silent and doesn't talk outside of telling MK what to do, in the afternoon, he acts similar to how he does in the show, but you can tell that he's faking it/that something's off, and in the evening, he becomes a perfect mirror and mimics whatever actions/words the people around him do. LBD used his heart as part of the process to revive Macaque, so Macaque actually has Wukong's heart contained within him, and feels all the emotions Wukong would be feeling if he had his heart. (as in, if MK tells him something exciting, Wukong will feel nothing, but halfway across the city in his dojo Macaque will suddenly feel the emotion of excitement and not know why). Later on, they end up transferring Wukong's heart to him, but for a period of time him and Macaque share it in order to get Wukong used to having emotions again.

Secret Relationship AU: Macaque and Wukong are already dating- but due to a series of circumstances they are outright hiding Macaque's general existence from MK and the others. This is mostly a comedy AU hsdlfkjsdlfs.

Seapearl AU: Wukong was born as a mermaid (or mer-monkey), and Macaque ended up becoming a mer-monkey due to the circumstances of his revival.

Wisp AU: When Macaque got revived, he split in two, the part of him that fully accepted what had happened and forgave Wukong, and the part of him that's in denial of, well, everything + 'hates' Wukong. The side that forgave him is called Wisp, and usually just stays as Macaque's shadow and goes along with Macaque's plans. (Technically, it kinda is more like Wisp is Macaque's shadow than it is one person split in two). Wisp is incapable of speaking until Macaque actually admits/says that he forgives Wukong outloud. (Macaque's hatred of/grudge against Wukong had been literally silencing his forgiveness).

Astral!Macaque AU: mentioning this one despite the only one post about it cause i think it's funny, but basically a version of MK time travels back from the future in order to prevent a really bad timeline- but ended up too early, and ends up possessing Macaque's body (and decides to try and recreate as many important events as possible). Macaque gets knocked out and kinda starts. haunting Wukong, up until episode 9 where he sees himself do stuff and is like “what the fuck who is that. who the fuck is possessing my body. what the fuck dude that’s not your skin get the fuck out who ARE YOU-”

Context: Jungkook is playing the story mode of Mortal Kombat. After he finishes the story he extends an invitation for Jennette to play with him.

Note: I'm excited for MK 1. (Tanya looks AMAZING and I hope they add Jade too)

"I'm not gonna go easy on you." Jungkook handed Jennette the Playstation controller. Mortal Kombat 11 had just been released, and Jungkook was one of the few streamers who could play it earlier than the rest of the general public.

The past few days, his streams comprised him completing the story and competing in online tournaments. His favorite character by far was Liu Kang. How could he not? He was a powerful Asian martial artist with wicked cool fire powers. It was natural for him to gravitate towards the character.

"I've been going at it for six hours just today." Jungkook tried to warn Jennette. His girl had just come back home from visiting her parents. Taking off her Crocs, she got comfortable on the loveseat. Back in high school, she would play fighting games like Street Fighter with her dad but wasn't a full-fledged fan of the genre. Jennette preferred role-playing and decision-based games.

"I think I'm gonna choose her." Jennette moved the select icon over the character named 'Jade.' She, too, wanted to choose a black character to play with, and Jade looked cool. The staff in her hand, being her choice of weaponry, would be a great advantage over her opponent, who would have to be up close and personal to attack her.

The match begun with the two characters taunting each other. With a swift slide, Liu Kang started a string a combos on Jade. Jungkook laughed cockily as he continued his assault.

Trying not to lose, Jennette started to mash the buttons on her controller. Landing a few uncoordinated hits on Liu Kang. Things were not looking good. Jungkook completed the combo for Liu Kang's fatality to add more salt to the injury. Jungkook leaned back into the couch, watching Jennette's facial expressions. Waiting for her to turn and look at him gloat.

"GG, babes." He stuck his hand out, but Jennette just smacked it away. She knew Jungkook well enough to know that his attempts at sportsmanship were rarely genuine.

Jennette sat up, leaning, closer to the TV. Her hands gripped the controller tighter. "Run that back."

"Don't say you didn't ask. for this." Starting another match, Jungkook demonstrated his skills by stringing combos. His character managed to trap Jennette against the wall. Sparing her no opportunity to counter his attacks. This battle ended quickly, with another win under Jungkook's belt.

Jennette refused to look anywhere remotely to her side. She already knew Jungkook would have that stupid grin on his face. His ego was growing by the minute.

"One more round?"

Jennette agreed, but this time with a plan. She was tired of these humiliating losses. Jungkook was always finding a way to hop around Jennette and push her into an invisible wall. To effectively beat Jungkook, she planned on tagging some of the move lists. Once she entered the new game, she immediately paused the game. Searching for simple combos that she could execute.

Jungkook didn't think much of it. He firmly believed that he could still molly-whop Jennette's character regardless. Resuming the game, Jennette entered the simple combos, finally landing attacks on Jungkook's character. Like an inverse relationship, Jennette's smile grew, and Jungkook's shrunk.

"Are your fingers getting sweaty?" Jennette taunted, winning the first half of the match.

Like the old saying once said, Don't count your chickens before they hatch." Jungkook soon regained the upper hand in the match. Leaving Jennette silent. Jennette should have known how Jungkook would react when he lost. It is the fastest way to light a burning blaze under his ass. All of a sudden, Jungkook became a pro player. Blocking Jennette's attack and using his meter to execute the perfect counters.

"Fuck this."

Jennette didn't even stay to watch the end of the match. Once Jungkook activated Liu Kang's fatality, Jennette had enough. With his hands behind his head, Jungkook kicked up his feet. Enjoying the sweet, sweet, sweet taste of victory.

Fem V Friday but I didn’t take any screenshots of my baby recently so I’m gonna ramble about her soap opera of a life instead.

(Putting the majority of it under a Read More because I know I ramble and don’t wanna clog the tags)

- Victoria was born in Night City but she wasn't raised there - she lived in England with her mother until she was 23, when they both moved for work-related reasons. Her accent is still quite prominent and it's common enough to hear other people refer to her as Mary Poppins. Angelo once called her it in the middle of an argument and she proceeded to beat him with an umbrella. It sounds funnier than it was - it was severe enough that Trauma Team were alerted.

This event, causing an embarrassment for their parents, was what spurred the two into a different approach - small competitions, bets. Harmless to the duo and their parents reputations, not so much for the mercs they moved like chess pieces to up each other. This 'truce' would be in place until their father's health took a severe decline and the question of inheritance became prominent.

- Doesn't really participate much within the commonly tight-knit netrunner community. At most, some may recognise the username V1P3R in certain forums, usually ones theory-crafting potential new daemons and quickhacks - what would need to be targeted in the system to get x result and so forth. One time she asked for advice about what cyberdeck she should invest in, knowing full well it would start a war between the Netdriver and the Rippler girlies. (She herself uses the Netdriver Mk.5, and has a bad habit of overclocking it to increase upload speeds; burning up the cyberdeck and giving her the nosebleed of the century.)

- That said, the quickhacks are more a hobby, something she picks away at when she needs to stop actively thinking about the big work project: a new virus named OIZYS that she is heading the development of for Arasaka. Secret to the point that even Adam Smasher knowing of it was considered a security breach.

I want to ramble about the idea for it, so -- OIZYS can lie dormant for some time once uploaded, not affecting the target in any way nor showing up in most scans until they encounter something that sets off their threat/fear response. Victoria is trying to find a way for them to activate it remotely, but her experiments in that regard haven't worked thus far and she refuses to consider the project complete or even viable if their targets getting scared by their own children jumping out at them can trigger it.

OIZYS would kick in during that response in the brain: overwhelming the amygdala with stimuli and convincing the individual that they are surrounded by threats even if its not the case, blinding them to the difference between friend and foe. It's results have been comparable to cyberpsychosis and are increasingly effective when the target is in an already stressful environment or position. After the initial, typically violent outburst test subjects showed an increased paranoia that led to them refusing to eat or sleep. The reason for its development is simple: cause political rivals/public figureheads to make a fool of themselves in the public eye, tanking stock and trust in rival companies. So they kinda need to be able to control when the virus kicks in.

While not intended, OIZYS focus on the brain also makes it somewhat effective against cyborgs - noted to occasionally trigger a disconnect between the biopod and conversion frame. Those results have been kept quiet from a certain tinman and have been struck from any official documentation.

- She used to be engaged to an Arasaka security agent, Marcus Larson (seen below). However, their relationship was tenuous at best and wouldn't last due to his aggression and her frequent infidelity and gaslighting. Marcus broke off the engagement following Victoria's assignment to Adam Smasher, after she told him to go fuck himself when he demanded she refuse the transfer. Ever spiteful, Victoria has maintained a fairly good relationship with his mother and sister - who still consider her part of the family even if she didn't marry into it. Her not-nephews prefer her over Marcus, courtesy of her spoiling them rotten. She's never considered herself an actress, but she plays the part of doting aunt well.

- Owned a Quadra Type-66 Avenger. When her half-brother bombed it in an attempt on her life, Victoria was initially more pissed about the destruction of the car than the half-assed murder attempt. That Angelo killed himself shortly after this attempt was surely just a coincidence, and not at all tied to his netrunner sibling who is known to keep fatal quickhacks in her arsenal.

- There was an investigation into Angelo's death; headed by a certain Detective Ward. River could smell there was something off about the whole thing, and while the pettiness of getting fixers and mercs involved is commonplace among self-important Corpos, the timeline of events was too suspect for him to just write it off as a suicide. (A dying rich father, half-siblings known to hate each other, a failed car bombing and then a suicide? Yeah. He wasn't believing what Victoria fed them: that Angelo was paranoid after her car exploded, worried he was next. His suspicions grew tenfold after learning she was a netrunner.) However, all of that was circumstantial and while he might have been able to hold it against a common citizen of Night City; a suit was nigh untouchable without something solid.

Victoria was NOT happy when she was taken in for questioning, a colleague of River's tried to soothe her ruffled feathers by explaining that River was on edge due to a personal circumstance (the disappearance of Randy) however they had instead just given her a means to antagonize the man. And she did, accusing him of being a shit brother and uncle without explicitly saying it. River was so fucking close to clocking her, frustrated af knowing his hands were tied and he had nothing that would stick if he kept to official channels. Watching her walk out added to his quickly building grievances with the force.

- Due to her mother's ailing health, Victoria oversaw the burials of both her father and half-brother. Their niches read the following:

Random idea that I thought you might appreciate. The showrunners really leaned into the horror aspects of Macaque's powers in S3Ep4, and I can't help but think about how much nightmare fuel he would be with a more unhinged personality. Like say, transplant the personality of Freddy from Nightmare on Elm Street into Mac and he would be truly terrifying, maybe even more than LBD. LBD at least operates on some sort of logic, but Mac would be motivated only by his own twisted sense of humor.

ok so part of the reason i love canon macaque is that hes literally Just Some Guy. his motives start and end at selfish 'ive been hurt, time to make other hurt' and thats it. like. everyone knew the story of DBK, and once DBK gained power again his plan was 'take over the city and rule'. same for spider queen, who wants to rule the city and LBD who wants to (control?) change the world but macaque doesnt want any of that, he has no higher purpose hes literally Just Some Random Guy that even MK doesnt know. so like him going off the rails? COMPLETELY unpredictable, noone would know what hes doing next, least of all him! its gonna come across much more joker-esque than evil warlord or controlling monarch (disclaimer- i havent seen with any media with the joker in since heath ledger and under red hood djdjdkddjd so its not a specific version joker im talking about) im gonna talk about the actual powers and then the horror part below a cut so it doesnt get too long

and, like you mentioned, his powers were done SO well in s3, the amount of times he dips in and out of the shadows, steps backwards into them, completely used to how they work, and how he changes the atmosphere when he turns up? MY GOD some of my actual favourite use of powers like that ive ever seen in media. hes COMPLETELY my aesthetic, and i LOVED how they used his powers in ep4, bathing everything in magenta and stark black, and the voice acting when he sings out 'its just you and me now~' WAS SO FUCKING COOL IM STILL REELING. NOW IMAGINE THAT SITUATION IF HE ACTUALLY WANTED TO HURT MK rather than just scare him. THATS TERRIFYING cause his powers are so so good for chaos, hes got bandages that can grab people, he can teleport, step in and and out of shadows, make whole buildings/vehicles out of clones, and while theyre in there he can just? drag them into the abyss?? and this is all stuff he did when he wasnt really hurting them that much, i dread to think what else he'd be able to do if he was out for blood.

and he already uses the scare factor quite a bit but like, the ability to separate people like that is really really good for horror. and hed think it was SO funny to do it. AND THE CONSTANT TALKING? hed watch some run through a shadow maze and just laugh at them and tell them all the ways they could die. i dont even think youd have to change his personality that much, just make him a bit more violent. (although im aware weve only seen him in the show at his very worst (around swk, the person who killed him, in s1&2, and then desperate and trying to escape an abusive situation in s3. this doesnt absolve him of anything but weve definitely only seen him at his worst times))

can you imagine? being stuck in the dark? void in all directions and the remains of the room you were in just cutting off in artificial darkness? you dont know where you are, you dont know where HE is, theres one light and youre staying under it in some illusion of safety because you KNOW he thrives in the shadows and maybe, just maybe if you stay in the light youll stand a chance. youre trying to stay quiet despite knowing he already knows where you are, trying to control your breathing and listen for him. is he circling out there just beyond where the light touches, waiting? can you bring yourself to step into the shadows or are you going to stay under the light until it- flickers. and flickers again. and then goes out. because it was an illusion of safety to begin with, and this was just a game for him, and he thinks is funny when he kills you. :D i love horror

u can take this as a theory or a headcanon but anyways ive been thinking and what it mk isnt human OR demon. his entire past is a complete mystery, all we know is that

1: he hasnt always gone by mk (one and possibly only reason being his name is incredibly long so he shortened it to match with his idol)

2: he has worked for pigsy for 2 years

i find it interesting how mk of all people was selected by monkey king to be his successor. i mean in the grand scheme of things, before he grabbed the staff he was just another guy doing his job. it could be his friendship with the reincarnations/descendants of his past traveling companions, or it could be for another entirely different reason.

something that strikes me as odd is that mk was able to perfectly control the staff and his powers when he was fighting dbk, but not before or after. it could be because he was in a life or death situation, or it could be because he wasnt focusing on the fact that his powers arent his. in that moment he truly believed he was the successor of the monkey king, and so he was able to use those powers without any problems. of course thats still a theory, theres no way to confirm why until it's said so in canon.

another thing is how did wukong know mk was worthy of picking up the staff. he said that he had been watching him but for how long? i doubt just the pilot episode, it has to have been much longer than that. wukong doesn't seem like the type of guy to hand out his power to just anybody, especially some dude who delivers noodles for a living.

i could go on and on and on about this and trust me, i want to, but for the sake of the people reading this im gonna continue on to the main point. mk isnt a human OR a demon, hes a being that was made to hold the power of the monkey king. in short, i believe mk is a celestial primate of some sort. i dont think he was born from stone, but i DO THINK he was made to be one. lady bone demon called him a monkey even though throughout the entire series hes been shown as human.

WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY NEXT POINT. in the lego sets mk has a monkey form, and it wouldn't make sense for him to just randomly become a monkey after months of having wukongs powers, that sort of thing would happen either right away or gradual changes. or it could. im not the writers so i cant say anything for sure. maybe ill make this an au. pre-mk mk was just pure energy until he gained a vessel. or he was a baby monkey created by the residual energy from macaque and wukongs fight in jttw that was diguised as a human and sent off into the world. my brain ran out of juice sorry its 1:30am

My GTA V Online: M.W.V.R. episode 1 - Mammoth Avenger (Part 1) [Dec 29th, 2022]

HO! HO! HO! Hello, it’s me! And welcome back to my GTA V Online. So today, I made another episode called M.W.V.R. 💥🔫🚗, an acronym stands for "My Weaponized Vehicles Review".

And in this episode 1, I'm reviewing the Mammoth Avenger, an aircraft with the ability to tilt, and it was on the real-life counterpart. How much is that? Let's find out.

So, without further ado, let's get started:

• The Mammoth Avenger [CLICK ME!] is a weaponized aircraft released on December 12th, 2017 coincide with the "The Doomsday Heist" DLC update. It cost GTA $3,450,000 or $4,787,500 (if you unlock the trade price after completing the "Setup: Avenger [CLICK ME!]" in Act II - Doomsday Heist.) from Warstock Cache & Carry, and it's primarily based on the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey [CLICK ME!].

Important Note: The Avenger plane was NOT related to the MCU's superhero team. Although, it's worth to watch, but still.

My walkthrough & first impression:

• Okay so, I'm here at Vespucci Beach to show ya how to summon or spawn an Avenger plane. To do this, go to the interaction menu by pressing "M" on your keyboard (or hold the "select" button on your current controller), go to "Services", then pick "Avenger" & press "Request Avenger". And there you go, say hello to my big aircraft! Here's a default look of the Avenger plane in black-ish graphite & white tone, with a single torrent cannon at the front. And gotta say, it is quite huge to ride a plane. Now, you can actually buy this place on "Warstock & Carry" without unlocking the trade price, like I am. However, you gonna need a facility to park your own Avenger, and that ain't cheap. You can add some additional features (aside from color interior) on the Avenger, but, it'll cost exorbitant. Anyway, let's go inside by either the front left side or at the back. However, if you're in the cockpit, hold the right D-Pad (for controller) (or press "E" on your keyboard) to enter the Avenger's interior.

• I'm now inside the Avenger, with Christmas decorations hanging above. Yup, we're still celebrating the spirit of holidays after "Christmas Day". Nonetheless, the interior of the Avenger contains a wardrobe, a gun locker (that nobody use), five sits, a CCTV camera terminal for the cockpit, a weapon workshop for Mk II weapons (an additional purchase), and a single turret control, which I'll show it ya, in a bit. But right now, let's take a flight with the Avenger, shall we?

• Like the V-22 Osprey in real-life, the Avenger plane features a VTOL mode (which stands for "Vertical Take-off and Landing"). By pressing the right D-Pad on your controller (or pressing "E" on your keyboard), you could either go forward or elevate. This feature can be great for doing insane stunts or going upside down if you're doing some daredevil activities. Either way, it's fun to ride. Plus, the Avenger's speed & acceleration are respectively fast (either equipped with performance parts or not), no doubt. The Avenger also has an "Autopilot Mode" by going to the interaction menu, the same route as I summon the Avenger.

• Now, that my Avenger plane switches to autopilot, let's go inside once more because I want a play that front gun turret. Like the weapon workshop, the gun turret control is also an additional purchase for the Avenger plane. To access the front gun turret, press the right D-pad on your controller (or "E" on your keyboard), and press the "enter" (keyboard) or "A" (controller) button. Now, let the fun firing begin! The turret (or each turret) has a zoom function to see it closely before you take fire at them into smithereens. Unlike other aircraft w/ turrets attached that require friends/allies to operate, the Avenger plane can operate on your own, thanks to the autopilot feature. Now, that I'm done firing, let's go to my facility. And much like the Avenger plane itself, the facility is also expensive.

• Here it is, I'm now inside my own facility. I'm having fun gliding with my Avenger plane. But, there's one feature that I've forgot to share ya....

do you think MK is gonna have a circlet arc?? Going along with your eldritch mk theory jt could parallel his past life being contained and also more parallels to SWK and MK how fun

This ask has haunted my ask box for 3 days. Circlet arc??? CIRCLET ARC???? THAT WOULD BE TERRIBLE AND SO SO SO GOOD.

I have no idea if it would actually happen in show, but I have a feeling MK is at the very least going to have an "anti-circlet" arc. Go with me for a moment:

So, we know MK's bandana parallels Wukong's phoenix feathers in design, right?

MK with the two ends of his bandana and Wukong with the two feathers coming out of his cap.

However, MK's bandana is ALSO a parallel to Wukong's circlet:

And MK was given this bandana by Pigsy (presumably):

This is basically a long winded way to say that MK has already been "crowned", in a sense. Unlike Wukong, MK never needed to be controlled in the same way his mentor did at the beginning of his journey. MK, instead, was given morals and love by our wonderful Dadsy from a young age, which effectively functioned as a "circlet", if that makes sense.

So, the bandana, a symbol of both who he is/was raised to be and the crown, is already his circlet. As MK is now, he doesn't need a circlet to exert control over him because of who he is—a good kid who is trying his best to make the right choices.

But, you know, there was that really scary scene that one time where MK didn't exactly feel like MK and he kind of went off the rails...and...WHAT IS THAT

HIS BANDANA WAS DAMAGED BY HIMSELF IN AN EPISODE TITLED "Rip and Tear" !!?!??!?!?

SO.

Say MK were to rip his own bandana off, symbolically showing his complete decent into his "harbinger of chaos" role...that would mean another crown would have to go on to replace it, right?

Whether MK get's crowned symbolically with another bandana or an ACTUAL circlet remains to be seen, but the potential is definitely there! And I'm normal about it

Johnny: Did you see the article that shared their last posts before they vanished?

Don: The cryptic ones where they're basically talking about how they're in danger?

Johnny: Yeah! That one, and before all of that some of them mentioned finding some weird shit that's been hidden from the public like documents, samples and- Oh shit.

Don: What?

Johnny: I just remembered something...

Johnny: I completely forgot I had this until recently.

Don: So... This is what you were on about earlier.

Johnny: Yeah. I found it while I was grabbing supplies for Casper; this was at my family's "abandoned" construction site.

Salem: Why did they abandon it?

Johnny: Found a better location... Something like that.

Cassandra: Right...

Johnny: I actually went back the other day to check it out again, but this time it was completely boarded up. Pretty sure it was being guarded or some shit.

Kylo: Can't say I'm surprised if I'm being honest. Do you still have the photos from the last visit?

Johnny: Yeah, I should do. I'm sure I sent you some, actually.

Kylo: You did.

Kathryn: Wait, Kylo, what's in that folder you just picked up?

Kylo: Looks like a bunch of documents? Let me-

[Paper falls out of the folder]

Kylo: Oh?

Kathryn: What is it?

Kylo: Uh, it looks like it's related to Project MK-Ultra.

Kathryn: MK-Ultra...

Salem: Is that the one where the CIA were undertaking illegal human experimentations and whatnot?

Cassandra: Yeah, it is.

Don: But why is that in there?

Kylo: I'm not sure... Looks like there's some old newspaper articles dating back to 1973 covering the controversy surrounding the CIA, use of LSD and mind control.

Don: Huh...

Kylo: [Flips through pages] There doesn't seem to be anything else in this folder.

Johnny: Did you say mind control?

Kylo: Yeah? Why?

Johnny: I- uh- I remember overhearing parts of a conversation that Casper had with Shi over the phone a while back. Apparently there's this guy who I think is some sort of dictator? I don't know, but from what I heard, he knows about Shi's ability- whatever that is, I don't know the full ins and outs of it.

Johnny: But apparently, he wants to use Shi for this fucked up project that he's got going on.

Cassandra: Wait, isn't he the one who can get into people's heads and basicaly turn their brains into mush?

Johnny: Yeah, and because of that he is also capable of mind control.

Kathryn: Holy shit.

Johnny: He was also talking about how the project usually always starts off with small groups of people disappearing for a period of time, and when they return, they're... different.

Don: Different?

Johnny: Yeah. Different. I didn't hear the rest of that conversation, so I don't know the specifics, but...

Kathryn: But what?

Johnny: Something is definitely going on here, and it has been for a while. Over the past few months, there have been God knows how many reports of "alien abduction", of people going missing for days, or weeks and when they return, they're not the same person they were before they went missing.

Cassandra: Like my Mum...

Johnny: Yeah, like Bella. Like Shiroba.

Kylo, quietly: And they're considered the lucky ones...

Johnny: What?

Kylo: Because not everyone survives. Not everyone is lucky enough to return home.

Johnny: You don't think Shi and Casper are somehow involved, do you?

Kylo: No. I don't think they are.

Don: But it seems that they know about all of this.

Kylo: Yeah... I think we'll need to talk to them about this. See if they can help us figure this shit out.

Johnny: I suppose we could do that.

Kylo: Hey, Zest. Did you manage to speak to Cas?

Johnny: Uh, no. Not yet.

Kylo: [Sigh] Johnny-

Johnny: I'm gonna speak to her! i just- I need to sit down and speak to Shi first, and then I'll speak to her. I'm meeting up with Shi on Tuesday, and I plan on speaking to her later that day.

Don: And then we're gonna ask them about [gestures to the pile] this, right?

okayokay so lmk s3 was roller coaster and a half and I have analysis's and theories to make. 

Red son and Mei:

We r defo gonna see more of them together as Red son is gonna b helping Mei control the true fire so i find thats gonna be interesting as Red was kinda the person who had to deal with it before Mei. Im looking forward to seeing those to interact and become better friends! 

Macaque:

He's a tricky one, cause he def has room to redeem especially now that's he free from LBD's control (see source 1) but I also think that because of his past with SWK he may be hesitant to do so, maybe afraid he'll be left behind again (I don't know much abt his past so don't @ me) But after seeing his face (see source 2)when hearing that MK won't leave Mei behind may show him that MK isn't like SWK and won't abandon him. I also think he may get along with Tang, because as I and others noticed he's the only one Macaque addressed by his name. I see him as the same thing Red son was like; uneasy to trust and only really having one friend (4 Red son it's Mei and 4 Macaque its Tang maybe)

Sun Wukong (Monkey king): 

I'm generally excited for SWK's part in this story, with him leaving to fight LBD by himself and trying to push everyone away in order to "protect them" and his really stupid plan. I feel like he's gonna be forced to accept the fact he needs help in fighting LBD. I also think that he's gonna have to rescue Mk- from his own stupid mistake (leaving 2 be on his own). Im half hoping that he fights Mk and Nezha as they try to stop him from doing what he's doing. Needless to say I'm intrigued in his part of this story.

Mk and Nezha:

I don't have much to say about these two besides the fact I'm looking forward to the two (hopefully) bonding and trying to stop SWK from himself and his stupid plans. I reckon Nezha is gonna be a comfort to MK about all the stuff that's currently going on and the fact his mentor is trying to push him away. 

Tang:

Why'd I give him his own spot? Well, my friends it's because with what I assume are powers (I got this from his little fight with Macaque and him being able to complete the ceremony- see source 3&4) he'll finally be able to leave his shell as the main background character and become a main character in the series, I also think that he'll be one of the few Macaque trusts and even helps him with his abilities. I am really looking forward to seeing Tang stepping out and becoming a vital part of this story. And he doesn't I'll sue.

Mei:

SHE gets her own spot cuz I ain't done with her yet. In s4 I'm looking forward to seeing Mei try and control the true fire and hopefully end LBD. Also I'm looking forward to her interactions with Red son and maybe his family, I want them to see her and notice how negatively the true fire has effected her and kinda be like 'aight she's our child now' (also 2 me I see Red sone and Mei as brother and sister :D ) I rlly want those two to become really goof friends!!

Red son:

This one'll be short, I want to see him become good friends with Mei maybe even see her a little sister of sorts (not that he'll admit it) I also want to see him "join" the good guys, he'll say he hasn't but everyone; including his parents know he kinda has.

Pigsy, Tang and Sandy:

In s4 I feel we may not see a lot of them but seeing as they are the ones going after Mei we may see a couple episodes focused on them. I want to see wholesome interactions with a minor fighting a demon or two. I also wanna see them maybe help Tang with his newfound abilities(?). When/if they find Mei I wanna see sobbing because they've missed her so much. I just wanna see these three be good friends, that's all.

SWK & Macaque's  relationship:

These two. Omg these two. They have such a deep relationship full of distrust. I feel if Macaque tags along with MK and Nezha he'll slowly warm up to Wukong, not fully trusting him again but to the point where he'll no longer wanna kill SWK. I want these two to have a scene either as the sun is rising and falling and they'll kinda just- talk; with tears. I want to see Wukong try to apologise for everything. I want these two to slowly become friends again, I feel there is so much potential with these two in season four and I want to see it.

Overall S4 theory?:

Overall for S4 I'm looking forward to seeing MK and SWK to interact especially since he's going to be an antagonist of sorts, this is gonna affect MK negatively in the long run and may even make him trust his mentor less. I want SWK to notice this and apologise and finally come the the realisation he   isn't gonna be able to defeat LBD by himself and learns he can't fight all battles by himself. In S4 I wanna see a Macaque redemption arc I want to see him become half friends with Wukong. Honest to god if they don't get this I'll write my own story where this happens.

I'm not sure if this season will show the defeat of LBD or not, I hope it doesn't because this story has a lot of potential, maybe with having SWK kidnapped by LBD and the others having to rescue him and face the final boss. LBD. It would show everyone and Mei dealing the final blow to her- maybe even needing backup from the others. I'm getting off track. Anyways, I can't wait for S4 to release and all the adventures that follow. Lego monkie kid is a roller coaster and a half and it's slowly becoming two rollercoasters. 

Extra note:

In the episode the get to the temple everyone (minus MK) says how familiar the place feels- this further proves my point that Tang may have magical abilities, he may be a descendent from the monk (idk his name sghsgshs) 

 

Conclusion:

In conclusion, I'm really looking forward to seeing how all of S4 plays out and the ending it's gonna bring us. But in the end everything I've written here is just a theory.... A GAME THEORY!

Could you write 22 “Oh, you’re just grumpy” with Monkie King and a deage MK?

OOOOH coming back to this? Yeah, I am totally up for giving this another go! MK is having a not so great time, nothing warning worthy but I do HC him not being the healthiest kid. Mild spoilers for season 2 episodes 1 and 2.

Oh, you're just grumpy.

"Noooooooo!" MK shouted, stomping his foot on the ground in anger. "I'm not grumpy, I'm mad! You can't let them leave me behind! Take me back! I'm the Monkie Kid! I have to do this myself! I-"

"You are currently physically 4 years old with all the control over your powers of that age," Sun Wukong rebutted with a soft sigh, frowning and wincing at the high pitched angered scream in reaction he received at that. That was... not the best way to go about this... He needed a different tactic.

He knelt down to be at eye level with his now even younger protégé, holding out his hand. When MK stared at it he chanced putting it on his shoulder and continued when MK didn’t shrug it off or start yelling again. “Bud, MK, it’s ok. I know you’re frustrated. You have every right to be! But we just want to make sure you’re safe until we can get you back to normal.”

This was not the kind of trouble the Monkey King expected to happen immediately before... well, put a cork on that for now. But this wasn't the kind of trouble be expected to happen regardless of time frame. How in the world anyone managed to not only curse an object in this way but find a way to slip it on his student was anyone's guess. But the fact of the matter was that MK, the Monkie Kid himself, was now physically 4 years old. Mentally, he was still the same age he was before the curse, personality and memories still completely intact... for the most part, it became clear to them very quickly that being physically a kid again came with more than just a smaller body. It came with the mood swings and heightened emotions of “kid brain” as Mei called it, when MK immediately burst into tears at just the mention of being left behind so Mei and the others could go after the demon. And then he couldn’t figure out why he was crying, whether from frustration or worry or both or why he even started, which lead to more crying out of sheer confusion, which made everyone feel very bad.

They’d managed to calm him down long enough for the Monkey King get him on his cloud and bring him to Flower Fruit Mountain in case the demon attempted to go after him like this, but that was short lived once they actually made landfall.

"But I can do this!" MK continued, pouting and tears of frustration starting to peak at the corners of his eyes once again, albeit calmer frustration. "I-I beat the Spider Queen! I can handle one demon who had to slap a bracelet on me to make me a kid to beat me, even if I'm tiny! I can kick his butt!"

"I know you can, Bud," Wukong said evenly, offering him an understanding smile. "And normally I'd let you go in guns blazing and know you could handle everything no problem now! You've more than proven you can handle stuff even I couldn't. If you were just shrunk I wouldn’t dare think you couldn’t handle this." He reached out a hand, ruffling his hair far more gently that he normally would. But still rough, rough enough to let him know he wasn't going to just treat him like glass now. "But this is a bit different. Remember what I said when Macaque was having you use your full power?” MK scowled for a second before nodding. “Using your powers like this? Could hurt you. And I don’t want to see you get hurt like that. Heck, even I would have trouble controlling my powers and probably get hurt if I was turned into a little kid monkey man, and if this happened to me I would trust you if you told me to stay safe."

"... you would?" MK asked softly, and Wukong nodded. Maybe it was a... bit of a stretch of the truth. Sun Wukong would probably need some convincing too (Great Sage title leading to Great Misjudgement sometimes, the previously mentioned Spider Queen fight a key example), but that's just one more thing he and MK had in common.

"Course I would,” Wukong said, and given said convincing that was the truth. “I trust you, MK, and-AGH!" He may be the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, but nothing prepared him for the barreling rocket that was a 4 year old launching themselves at him to hug him with all the strength of... well, himself!

"I trust you too!" MK yelled right in his ear and oh if he thought his student had a loud yell before. But that only lasted for a second before he pulled back from the hug, body limp and head rested on his shoulder as the energy seemed to sap a bit from him as Wukong stood back up and he held him on his hip instead of setting him down when he saw the bright red rings around his eyes and how tired he seemed already... Tang had mentioned that he knew MK wasn’t exactly the healthiest as a child... "But... I feel bad not doing anything..."

"Then we can do something, that's an easy fix!" Wukong laughed, and his chest warmed as he was reminded of the few children he had helped take care of or play with while on the long journey centuries ago. He was a softie, really. "No training though, I am not going to body slam you when you come up to my knees."

This apparently was the magic joke to make, making MK devolve into a fit of giggles. A testament to how this cursed object affected him, he never would have giggled at that without it. Probably... MK had an odd sense of humor sometimes. But then again, so did he!

"Actually... I think I have just the thing for us to try."

All things considered, Wukong probably should have expected something like this. He did tell MK that he probably didn’t have much control over his powers. And that using his powers was a bad idea. And Tang did warn him he wasn’t a healthy child. The three together were a bad combo when his powers activated with MK’s unconscious reactions to certain things...

“How you feeling, Bud?” Wukong whispered softly, rubbing his back as he laid face down on his couch. He’d barely used his powers at all, just activated his true sight to find ingredients when they were cooking without even thinking about it, but that was enough to make the kid’s head feel like it was splitting open (in symptoms that sounded like a migraine, which... yeah, he felt really bad for him, and the jolt of worry and fear that shot through him surprised him less than he felt it should). “Still bad?”

There were a few of Wukong’s monkeys hanging out on the couch, one in particular was curled up next to MK’s head. Perhaps they were keeping him company while he wasn’t feeling well and nodded off in the process.

“I think I’m ok now,” MK answered, sitting back up and leaning into the Monkey King’s side (he seemed to seek out contact a lot more like this, letting Wukong carry him to the house, leaning on his shoulder when he showed him how to prepare the snacks they were making, now this... it made him wonder just how much physical affection he got as a kid). He looked leagues better than he had just 40 minutes ago, thankfully not nearly as exhausted as he had looked before he laid down. “Headache went away... I dunno, a while ago. But I didn’t wanna get up.”

“Completely understandable,” Wukong nodded in approval, glad that he’d gotten some form of rest. He needed it after everything he had been through. “You feel like getting up now, though? I made us some lunch... dinner... not desert food! Just like I promised.”

“Yeah!” MK exclaimed, immediately jumping off the couch and making his way to the kitchen like a rocket. “How about our snacks, how much longer do they have? Do you think we did ok? Do you think the others are gonna like em!?”

“They still have well over an hour of sitting in the fridge,” Wukong laughed, following him and watching him scramble to sit on one of the chairs at the table. “But I think we did a pretty good job of making annin tofu for the first time. They already look pretty darn delicious.” The almond jelly dish wasn’t as hard as he believed it would be, and using agar even he would be able to enjoy it... once he added some peaches on top, of course! “But that’s for later, for now what do you think of your meal?” MK looked up from his bowl, a spoonful of rice and vegetables already in his mouth. Wukong couldn’t help but laugh. “I think I’ll take that as a job well done.”

The two ate their respective lunches, rice and steamed vegetables for MK and rice and fruits for Wukong, talking about what dishes they could try making together in the future. Being a monkey Wukong had a very limited pallet for what he could (and would, given other circumstances) actually eat, so brainstorming workaround for that was a great way to pass the time before moving back to the couch. They played some, shockingly not Sun Wukong related, games that he had stashed away (and he was very offended by MK’s disbelief that he had media not related to himself in his house, totally offended). The game was one of those ones with a motion controller that you had to move around to play, and MK was having a blast with it.

The monkeys also seemed to be enjoying the show quite a lot.

Before the two knew it the sun had begun to set, MK’s grip on his controller starting to weaken as he sat down on the couch and attempted to keep his eyes open. Even with his rest earlier he was exhausted.

“Did anyone... tell you anything yet?” He asked softly, once again leaning into Wukong’s side with a yawn.

“Not yet,” Wukong admitted, looking at MK’s phone for the fourth time in he hour. “Not since they told me they found out where the demon went. But that probably means they’re focused on catching him! They’re gonna get the guy, I have a good feeling about it.”

“If you say so...” MK mumbled out, the controller slipping from his grasp as he closed his eyes.

“UH.. Bud? MK?” Wukong gently nudged his student, smiling softly when he realized that he’d just fallen asleep. “OK, that game clearly did it’s job a little too well.” He made to stand up, stopping short when something tugged on his clothing. MK had an iron grip on him, holding tight to his side and not looking like he was going to be letting go any time soon.

Well... Wukong didn’t have the heart to make him let go or chance waking him up to move him... so instead he took a hair and poofed up a blanket to lay over top of MK as he made himself comfortable on the side of the couch. It didn’t take long, and it took even less time for the monkeys around the house to curl up around and on top of the duo.

It was nice... Wukong didn’t want to admit it, but he was going to miss this. Not just when MK was changed back to his normal age, but when he had to... “go on vacation”.

He felt bad, lying to his student. His kid, now that he realized he couldn’t keep from admitting that to himself. But he trusted MK, genuinely trusted him in this regard, to keep everyone in the city safe while he was gone and he didn’t want the extra stress of knowing just what Wukong was really doing to weigh him down. He knew how much MK worried, seen how much anxiety he had after Macaque and the fight with the Spider Queen, how hard it would be to keep him from following him into places that were too dangerous for him to traverse without training they hadn’t completed yet.

He... really regretted not training him more in the beginning. Regretted it more than most things he had lately. Maybe if he had he could have explained things to him better. Known that if he did sneakily follow him he would at least be in much less danger.

He couldn’t let himself be too close after this. He’d have to go back to normal, aloof, jokey, “ah you’re fine cool beans good luck bud I believe in you!” Monkey King. For MK’s sake.

As he looked down at the sleeping child curled into his side he had to make himself believe it was for MK’s sake.

Why did that feel like it was a lie?

Ohhhh but Macaque's gotta fight back against LBD! C'mon, he's so close to earning Wukong's trust back! And the kid! He can't let her hurt his kid!

Oh yeah, we'll let Macaque break free of her control eventually. And it's obviously gotta be his new feelings for MK and the fact that he's totally not gonna let her use his body to kill his son that helps him overcome being possessed.. but before that happens it's definitely going to get bad for all of them. Macaque possessed by LBD is gonna seriously wreck their shop, probably taking whatever items they've already collected for the weapon they're going to use against her, destroying all the progress they've made.. not to mention Sun Wukong's been depowered so nobody stands a chance against him right now.

Hey, you know what might be fun? If they were just on the cusp of completing their weapon when this happened, and they get rescued by the last component of the weapon: Red Son! I can't think of anyone else on the ship who has a chance of beating back Macaque, and tbh he wouldn't be able to do it without the samādhi fire... he's probably been working on that on his own time, though, which explains his season 2 absence lol

Also, since Red Son has personal experience with the Lady Bone Demon possessing father figures, maybe he would be the one to initially point out that Macaque has got a case of blue and whispery. MK believes it, obviously, because he wants Macaque to turn out to be a good guy SO BAD! But Sun Wukong is definitely not buying it. It's like you said, he was SO CLOSE to trusting Macaque again and then this happens and the person he was starting to welcome back into his life betrays him and undoes ALL the progress they've made on their mission so far... it hurts way too much to think he's been betrayed by Macaque. Again. So he dismisses Red Son and just stays angry for awhile.

...Oh well. At least they've got Red Son on their side now, and with his help they have to hunt down Macaque and find whatever he did with the weapon components he stole. That's ok. Gives MK some time to get better acquainted with the fire demon who saved them :3c
