Got some happy design ideas for window bird garden! Since apparently parents actually care about the whole "looking like a garden" part more than ecology.

Hardest part will be still letting everything get a bit "leggy". Many gardens want either dense leaves or bare mulch, not so much room for the sort of places many insects like. Which is probably why designed like that.

Anyway, goal here is to encourage More bugs!

Some introduced plants don't cope with native bugs. But our local plants do okay, so long as predators are around. So my hope is that they will actually give the local plants an advantage.

They'll also help feed the birds! Plus bugs are cool, we should have more cool bugs.

Plus they turn over soil, fertilise flowers, control mosquito numbers, feed my favourite local mammals and reotiles, make cool nests. Just super neat friends for a garden.

My idea is to choose a few plant types missing from the area, especially endangered ones. (Some places get a license to sell rare plants. The idea is that trade in endangered plants is monitored, and that more people planting them improves population)

Some plants are more fire resistant, so will choose one of two so they can act as "fillers". Should create a pretty, more traditional garden, just one that can still function and interact with it's environment.

My biggest hope is for it to work as a "habitat/ population corridor" for some birds and if really lucky, some insects as well.

So, just need now to choose the most needed plants. And make "mock up" to help convince parents that this is definitely a normal "fashion garden" and probably not a tiny ecosystem that will encourage cool ants and beetles. They might be happy about the birds though.

!! Made a post for my writing/ long post blog!! (it is me rambling about bird watching garden).

Honestly just happy with the words for "fashion garden". Those gardens remind me a lot of "high fashion".

Sometimes they are made to be beautiful, but sometimes just there to show off with. Can imagine someone designing them but not spending time in them.

Though, think that both are slowly improving. Hopefully soon that phrase won't even be useful.

So, at this point it goes without saying that the sound design and production on @re-dracula is flawless, and Ben Galpin is a wonderful, wonderful Jonathan, but I was not expecting a straight up 'and now the weather' moment. Beautiful.

Could the Beast from Over the Garden Wall kill MacBeth? He's pretty consistently referred to with he/him, but he's more of a grim reaper figure or eldritch god than a person, so probably doesn't have a strong idea of gender. He's also a tree and a mythological figure and probably wasn't traditionally "born," plus being debatably a creation of Wirt's psychological conflict like the rest of the Unknown

Considering the fact that we are shown scenes from within the Unknown after Wirt is back in the modern world, I seriously doubt that the whole thing is supposed to have been in his head. For our purposes, we'll be considering that a popular fan-theory and not actually canon, and will continue off of the assumption that the Unknown is an actual place that Wirt and Gregory were transported to.

Now, as for the Beast himself, we don't ever really get any evidence on the nature his origins. We don't know whether he's some sort of primordial entity like you said or if he was once human. Though, considering he is revealed to look like... this:

...I'm inclined to believe this is closer to either a primordial entity or an entity composed of several others, like Frankenstein's Monster. So, while we don't have anything definitive, I'm willing to tentatively classify him underneath the Unconventional Birth Clause and Birth Parent Clause for now.

Hermann, deceived by beast, believes he can save Newt by chopping off wood piercing Newt's flash, but alas they are one and the same. Enoch raises Newt to join Pottsfield. We have newts!!! NEWTS!!!! For the longest time my family and I have been fighting to make the garden literally anything but a lawn and part of it has been fixing up an overgrown pond that was so overtaken with lilies that you could stand on them and not ever have your feet touch water. Finally after all these years, we have something living in there that isn't mosquito larvae and I am in love.

We have newts. ♡

Think that next step for bird window garden is to figure out water-flow. Because not about to let a flash-flood take away soil from around new plants.

And like. Something something house foundations. Apparently they do not like wet feet. Like a plant. House seem to be important. Feel like houses should be waterproof but anyway.
