trying to sell the idea of throam to someone is so hard it's like "okay imagine the worst man alive. he's arrogant, egotistical, homophobic, rude, hateful, pretentious, spiteful, self-conscious, has god-complex, selfish, miserable, destructive, revengeful, narcissistic, irredeemable, self-destructive, pathetic, hypocritical and embarrassing. and now imagine reading his thoughts for 500k+ words over the course of three books."

To Geto, the day that Riko died and Gojo initially died, he stayed dead because to Suguru, the best friend he knew was gone, replaced by an empty shell who spoke with the same voice but didn't say the same words.

even though i have over 200 fanfictions on ao3, i never get tired rereading what i create. sitting down and just going through one of the relationships or character tags and just rereading my own stories. it truly is an amazing feeling. i write for me and me alone, i just happen to share it with the world.

you didn't truly read throam as a teenager if you don't have an embarrassing story of desperately trying to get someone else in your life to read it too

something I've found through experience in terrible communities, both "political" and "apolitical" is the strict distinction between talk about politics and one's immediate situation. politics is always talked about in the abstract (whether theory or "actions"), away from personal feelings and desires, while immediate struggles are always discussed in either mundane and de-politicized ways, or through moralistic political "critique"
the most fundamental political question, our desires here and now and how the social order prevents us from expressing them, and what then can be done about it, is verboten in any kind of terrible community
