You stood in your room in your tiny apartment – looking in the mirror and rubbing your belly. Your heart ached when you thought about the life that this little one had ahead of them. Although you knew you loved them more than life itself, they would have to know nothing of their birth father because after all, he didn’t love you anymore, so why would he love them?
“Let’s go to work, peanut,” you sighed. It had been a two months since you discovered Steve had been cheating on you, and he and the “other girl” were now official. They were a real item with the public – described as the “perfect couple.” Those who knew what had happened gave Steve shit for it for a little while, but when you seemed to be moving on with your life, they did as well. However, all of that changed yesterday when you were told by the doctor that you were currently three months pregnant. You hadn’t told anyone yet. How could you? You would’ve hated to ruin Captain America’s perfect new relationship. You knew they needed to know, however. You’d start showing soon, and you even had the prenatal paternal DNA test done just in case Steve tried to deny it was his.
You pulled up to the tower and got out – making sure your oversized shirt covered anything that may be showing. You made a beeline to your office and got settled in – breathing a sigh of relief when you finally sat down. You were early into your pregnancy, but your feet and back were already killing you. Must’ve been a side effect of carrying a super soldier baby. You closed your eyes for a moment before having to get up and sprint to the bathroom. Another side effect of a super soldier baby is the super soldier amounts of nausea. After all, it was these symptoms that made you go to the doctor in the first place.
“Everything okay?” A warm and familiar voice called out from the other side of the door. It was Bucky. Of all the Avengers, he was the one who was still furious with his best friend. He was the only one to still show you sympathy after what Steve had put you through. “Are you sick? I can take you home if you need.”
“N-No, thanks,” you managed to respond through heaving breaths. “I’m-I’ll be okay.”
You flushed the toilet, washed your mouth out, and scrubbed your hands before opening the door up to the one person you considered a friend right now.
“Hey,” he greeted you softly, “what’s going on?”
You shook your head and sat down, tears starting to collect in your eyes and falling before you could stop them. “Why couldn’t it have been you?” you asked in a whisper – looking down at your stomach that was still flat for the most part.
“Why couldn’t have what been me?” Bucky asked with a confused tone, one of his eyebrows raised.
You closed your eyes and took in a deep breath before looking back up to the soldier. “Why does Steve have to be the father?”
“What’re you—”
Before he could finish his question, you interrupted him by sliding the envelope towards him. His eyes widened as he read the results of the tests. “You’re pregnant?”
You nodded tearfully. “With Steve’s baby,” you clarified. “That’s he’s not gonna want.”
“We don’t know that,” Bucky argued carefully. “He may want to be involved…may regret what he did to you.”
You shook your head and scoffed. “I don’t want my baby to be used to make him feel bad.”
“Want me to go with you to tell him?” Bucky offered.
You looked down – the feeling of your world crashing was heavier than you anticipated. “What if he doesn’t want anything to do with them?”
Bucky reached his hand over the table and grabbed yours – holding it carefully within his own. “Then I’ll help you figure something out.”
You exhaled – trusting Bucky to be able to help you figure out what to do if Steve claimed to not want to be involved.  He lead you through the compound, finally finding Steve cuddled up with his new girlfriend on the sofa of the large gathering room and watching TV.
“Hey,” Bucky called out nonchalantly – letting you keep your distance at the door. “We need to talk.” He lightly slapped his best friend’s shoulder – causing him to look up at him and then over at the door.
“Seriously?” Steve sighed and rolled his eyes. “You’re still tryin’ to do this?”
“Nah, man,” he argued, “this is different.”
Steve motioned for the girl in his arms to leave the room, and only when she was gone did you begin to approach the two men. You stayed close to Bucky – feeling safe with him nearby.
“So, what?” Steve shrugged. “You two a thing now?”
“No,” you answered forwardly – glaring down at the man who shattered your heart.
Bucky tossed the envelope containing all of the information he needed to know at his best friend. “Read it.”
Steve sat up on the sofa and started to read over the paperwork. His facial expression began to change almost immediately when he realized what was being told to him. You watched him react silently to the news and all of the tests. You swore you could see a trace of guilt and regret behind his blue eyes. Part of you hoped he’d start apologizing profusely – purely because you wanted the ball in your court. When the ultrasound appeared in his hand from the envelope his hand came up and covered his mouth.
“What did I do?” he whispered to himself – looking at the image of the peanut-sized being that was currently growing inside you.
“We’re not here to bullshit around with you,” Bucky cut off his self-pitying episode. “If you don’t want to be involved, she deserves to know.”
“I don’t…I don’t know,” Steve muttered. “It’s a lot.”
You scoffed and snatched the envelope from him – carefully placing the documents back inside. “I’ll take that as a no. Have fun with your new girlfriend.”
Unable to stand being near him anymore, you left the room with the envelope clutched tightly to your chest, and without another word, Bucky followed you out into the hallway. He pulled you into his arms and held you close as you broke down into a million pieces once again.
“I’ll do it,” Bucky offered – rubbing your back gently. “I’ll do what he won’t.”
“What?” you asked through your tears.
“Be in their life,” he specified. “As a father.”
“Buck…I can’t ask that of you,” you tried to argue.
“You’re not asking,” he corrected, “I’m offering…I said I’d help you figure out what to do if he didn’t wanna be involved.”
You were obviously thrown off by the request he had made, but there was no denying that the way the soldier was looking at and speaking to you somehow helped the million tiny pieces of your heart begin to find their way back together.

Alcina x newborn daughter!reader (Paid commission request)
Alright, so this was an awesome paid commission request. As you can see, reader is indicated as fem in this story, but that’s only because it was a paid request.
All requests sent to my inbox that are not paid for are still gender-neutral reader only. (No exceptions! Sorry.)
Alcina has always exuded maternal warmth and comfort, even from a young age. She believes that being a mom is part of what she was put on this earth to do. When Miranda brought Bela, Cass, and Dani to the castle, Alcina watched them diligently and nursed them around the clock. The three immediately imprinted on her when they woke up, and Alcina was overjoyed to have three beautiful daughters to love.
The four of them lead happy lives in Castle Dimitrescu for decades. But recently, Alcina feels herself longing for something. She wants to be able to nurture even more. She wants to carry and bear a child. It’s a desire she has craved all throughout her human life, but was too sick to ever make a reality. But now, she has the cadou… She knows that she would be strong enough to sustain a baby. She’s certain that the girls would be tickled to have a new sibling to love as well. Alcina is soon obsessed with the idea.
However, there’s no way in hell she’s going to just sleep with some random, disgusting man-thing. Maybe… Mother Miranda could help? Considering all of the amazing things she has been able to achieve in terms of biology in the village… It really doesn’t seem like such a long shot that she may have a way to make this happen for Alcina in a more methodical way.
Alcina can’t wait to ask her mother about this and quickly sets out for Miranda’s cottage. Alcina all but barges in and pleads with Miranda to help her attain her wish.
Miranda’s eyes go wide at Alcina’s words as she explains. She certainly isn’t expecting this… But, then a thought hits her. “Hmm… I actually might be able to help with that, draga mea,” She says.
“Really?!” Alcina damn near squeals with joy.
The blonde looks at Alcina and giggles softly. It’s entertaining to see this side of her daughter. “Well, if prompted with the right hormones, your reproductive system should be able to create a more than adequate environment for a growing baby,” She grins. “In terms of the paternity of the baby, well, that can be taken care of during a simple procedure in my lab. No other contact would be needed between you and the donor,” She explains.
Alcina breathes out a sigh of relief at this.
“Once the insemination is done it should take. I have no doubt that your rapid regeneration will help you carry a little one easily,” Miranda says.
Alcina’s eyes begin to water. This is exactly what she was hoping for. She can’t believe she’ll soon be taking her first step toward making this happen. She hugs Miranda tightly. “You’re making my dream come true, mother. Thank you.”
It surprisingly doesn’t take long for all the preliminary tests and procedures Alcina needs to be completed. After everything she’s done… Now, she just has to wait to take a pregnancy test. That’s the hardest part.
A few weeks later, Alcina sees that pink plus sign… She bawls. She is over the moon.
She loves you already.
The castle has kind of become a madhouse as all four Dimitrescu women prepare for your arrival. Alcina has tons of help from the girls… Actually, maybe a little too much help. Whenever the three of them see her doing anything remotely strenuous, they lead her to sit down while they tend to her needs. As independent as Alcina is, and wants to remain that way throughout her pregnancy, she finds their overly protective behavior adorable. Her daughters just can’t wait to meet their new sibling and only want the best for you and her.
Alcina goes for a regular prenatal check-up with Miranda one day after she’s a few months along. Everything is going smoothly, but the blonde suddenly giggles and dons a playful grin as she conducts the ultrasound.
Alcina quirks her brows in confusion. “What is it, mother?”
Miranda turns to her daughter. “What are your thoughts on learning the sex of the baby? Would you like to keep it a secret or-”
“What, you know, mother?! TELL ME!!” Alcina gushes enthusiastically, too excited for her own good.
It’s actually rather sweet. Miranda has never seen her so giddy. She softly smiles, proud to be the one to tell her daughter the news. “It’s a girl, draga mea,” She reveals, knowing Alcina will be thrilled.
Needless to say, she is. Almost manic with exuberance, in fact, she cries on Miranda’s shoulder for nearly an hour after learning this information. A fourth daughter… Alcina is so fortunate. She already has so much love in her life, but you will add even more.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity of anticipation, you are born. Your tiny body flails as you let out your first cry. Miranda smiles happily and wipes you off before gently giving you to Alcina.
Alcina is sobbing as she looks at you. She is in love. You are beautiful and cherished beyond measure, even at only a few minutes old. Alcina is so ecstatic to be holding you at last. “Shh, shh, shh. Mommy’s here, Y/N,” She says as you wail and move your little arms and legs. She lies you down on her chest and covers you up with a blanket, gently running her fingers along your little back to soothe you. She leans down to place a soft kiss on your head. She revels in your new baby scent and loves how it is very similar to her own.
Miranda moves to kiss her daughter’s cheek and gently stroke some hair out of her face. “You did wonderfully, draga mea. I’m so proud of you. Y/N is adorable,” She says with a smile and looks down at you, rubbing your head with her finger.
Alcina beams at you. “Thank you, mother. I agree. She’s so precious,” She says.
Miranda smiles. “Y/N looks like she could use something to eat, draga mea. Would you like to feed her?” She asks.
Alcina quickly nods. “Yes, she’s so small. She needs to eat.”
Miranda kisses Alcina’s head once again and leaves to give you two some privacy.
Alcina looks down at you with the biggest smile. “Hello, my darling,” She coos and moves your head closer to her breast. She carefully guides her nipple into your mouth.
You struggle for a few moments before you realize what you’re supposed to do. You actually get the hang of it pretty fast, though.
Tears stream down Alcina’s face as you eat. She had been looking forward to this ever since she decided to have a baby. It’s one of the most intimate experiences she’s ever had.
“Good job, Y/N,” She praises. It feels so good to have you nurse. “You must be so hungry,” She says as she examines your adorable little face. She hums contentedly and begins to purr.
The sound and vibrations coming from Alcina immediately put you at ease. She’s already an expert on soothing her babies, so she knows what she’s doing… Not to brag or anything.
Eventually, you have had enough.
Alcina praises you. “Good job, baby,” She says. She gently situates you so that your head is on her shoulder and she slides a soft cloth under your face. She begins to pat your back and admires how perfectly you fit in her arms.
After a while, you softly burp (And spit up a bit).
“Oh, that’s okay, baby. That was perfect,” She reassures with a giggle at the shocked look on your little face.
Wow. Whatever she did? That made you feel a lot better. She’s good…
A little bit later on, Miranda brings the girls in so they can meet you. All three of them gather around you with curiosity and excitement, but their smiles are warm and welcoming.
Bela holds you first. She cradles you in her arms with the utmost tenderness. “Welcome, little sister,” She whispers with a grin, so calm and gentle for someone so imposing. “We’re going to take good care of you.”
Meanwhile, Cass lets you grab her finger. “Uh, oh. Looks like we’ve got a total killer on our hands. That’s a strong grip, darling,” Cass gently teases.
Dani is hardly able to contain herself. She buries her face in your hair and gives you lots of kisses. “We’ll have so much fun together, baby!” She promises.
Alcina’s eyes water as she watches how kind and careful the girls are with you. It warms her heart to see all of her babies together.
A week swiftly passes by and it’s already time for your first real bath. Alcina, as always, is a meticulous caregiver. She lovingly prepares the warm water, ensuring it is just the right temperature. She carefully undresses you and holds you securely as she washes your tiny body. It’s a moment of bonding for the two of you, and you coo up at her in delight, feeling the closeness of your mommy.
Alcina is so excited to do new things with you. It seems you’re reaching small milestones every day. She loves watching you get acclimated to the castle and your family.
Needless to say, you are spoiled rotten. You want for nothing and your mommy and sisters adore you more than anything.
Growing up as a Dimitrescu is a beautiful gift indeed.

Good morning and happy wip wednesday!! I'm absolutely obsessed with the potential fallout of the latest snippet of Wet Nurse Omegaverse you posted!
“Just for propriety’s sake, of course, Alpha Wayne,” Travers says, ignoring Carl’s question and just barely tightening her jaw. Clark’s eyes narrow.
“That won’t be necessary,” he says flatly. Bruce isn’t sure if Clark’s more upset over Travers attempting to arrange a mating without Carl’s input or the insult to one of his alpha packmates’ morals and decency, but he’d bet on the arranged mating. Arranged matings are perfectly fine for people who don’t want the fuss of finding a partner on their own, but Carl isn’t the one offering to mate anyone. And also, Travers clearly intends the arrangement in the sense of making sure that if he pups Carl, Carl will have limited recourse for pursuing any form of child support or assistance with any necessary medical bills or prenatal care. Legally, a mated omega’s pups belong to their mate, especially if said mate is an alpha, and said mate is the one who requests any DNA tests. A mated omega can’t prove paternity without their mate’s consent.
Which is, obviously, an arrangement that is very easy for certain kinds of people to abuse.

Being pregnant was not fun thus far for Lia. She honestly wasn’t that far along but it still sucked. The morning sickness and ire toward the rest of the world had yet to fade. The doctor had assured her during their first ‘baby appointment’ as Mingi had dubbed it that after the first trimester, everything would calm down some and things would be easier.
Lia couldn’t wait for 13 weeks to get here faster, instead, she was at her 8-week check-up. They had decided to go ahead with a blood test to see what the gender of the baby was and to go ahead with a paternity test to determine who the father was. Which meant that this was a rather long appointment, she had been here for around an hour and was almost done. Lyra had been out in the waiting room as her companion for this trip as the boys had a long day of practices after the couple of schedules they had during the morning.
There was a lot of pouting from the potential fathers in attempts to skip their schedules for the day, needless to say, it didn’t work. Hajoon had put his foot down and forced the two oldest into the car to take them to work.
“Okay, you should be all good to go. The gender results should be back in the next 2 to 4 days, so the latest you should hear back from us is on Monday. As for the paternity results, since you requested the fastest time for that, we will send you an email with the results this evening or tomorrow morning at the latest." The nurse was walking with Lia toward the station where she could pick up the prescription for her prenatal vitamins and a few other prescriptions to help the baby.
“Okay, drug store then back home? Maybe stop to pick up something to eat,” Lyra asked as Lia walked up to her in the waiting room.
“Drug store, and then I was thinking we could pick up food and surprise the boys during their practice?” Lia hadn’t spent a lot of time at the company, there wasn’t really a need for her to. She didn’t work there and always felt a little awkward when she came up there by herself. She had a badge and all her credentials, but she felt awkward and out of place.
“I think that would work pretty well, I have the day off but those damn kids have been bugging me again. I might pop into their practice for a few minutes while we are there,” Lyra had grown rather close to her children as she had dubbed them despite the age difference not being that huge.
“Yeah, I thought with how clingy Hongjoong and Seonghwa were this morning they might want some extra company since they were set to be there pretty late,” Lia stopped talking for a second as they walked outside and were blinded by the power of the sun. Neither of them had the desire to drive in Korea just yet, so for most things, they settled on walking.
“Should we ask them what they want for a late lunch?” Lyra had pulled up a map of some of the restaurants in the area that they would pass on their way to KQ. There were a couple of food spots they had become familiar with but the boys had their own favorites, Wooyoung especially loved introducing both of the girls to different Korean dishes.
“Do you want to call and see what they want,” Lia was leading the way toward the company. Lyra nodded before pulling out her phone to call Hajoon, not wanting to interrupt the boys. They began to move a bit slower, multitasking like this was something Lyra was bad at.
Lia wanted to act like nothing was going to change but the fact of the matter was that everything was going to be different. This would have changed everything even if idol life didn’t come into play but that was just another added stressor.
“You good with chicken, Yeosang won rock, paper, scissors again,” Lia nodded her head in response to Lyra. She had been her rock through the whole thing, going to every appointment, even getting her different meals when something turned her stomach or even holding her hair when the morning sickness was too much to bear.
“You’re awfully quiet today, pretty. Are you feeling okay?” Wooyoung was being gentle with her, stroking the ends of her hair and making sure she had more than enough food from their lunch. The boys were more than happy when they walked through the doors about fifteen minutes ago. They were all spread out in the practice room, munching and relaxing while they had the chance.
“This is just a lot, and I feel like i’m going to ruin everyone's lives,” Lia was doing her best not to cry, honestly she felt as though she spent more time crying in the last couple weeks than not. The combination of the tears and the food she had just swallowed made her stomach turn and she was out the practice room door in seconds.
The bathroom was just down the hall and soon enough the sound of her retching was filling the women's restroom. She let her forehead on the rim of the toilet, as gross as the whole thing was, and let the tears drip. The hormones passed and she could feel her phone buzzing in her back pocket, no doubt everyone was looking for her. Time to pull it together, at least until she was back in the practice room. Crying in there seemed like a right of passage.
As nasty as she felt about being that up close and personal with the toilet, she refused to admit it to anyone living or dead that she had done that. Lia turned on the faucet before washing her hands and face with cold water, when she was patting her face with a paper towel the bathroom door opened.
“Sorry, Ly. I’ll be out there in a second.”
“Take your time, It’s no problem we just wanted to know where you were. I thought you would probably be rushing this way,” Lyra patted her back softly and gave her a slight hug before letting her know that she’d be in the practice room with everyone else when she was ready.
After gathering her courage, Lia decided that she would head back to the others after making a pit stop at the vending machine. She wanted something cold and carbonated to help settle her stomach. It was rather close to the practice room anyway. She was in her own little world when someone walked up behind her.
“You shouldn’t be here.” The words hung in the air, Lia didn’t immediately recognize the voice and they spoke too fast for her to pick up every word.
“Excuse me,” Lia was less than pleased when she turned to find Yerim standing behind her. She wasn’t blind to the friendship that had been forming between her one female soulmate and the young manager. She wasn’t a huge fan thus far, she had seen a few times now where Yermin had blown Lyra’s phone up. It tended to happen when they were all trying to spend time together.
Yerim looked at her as if she was stupid before speaking once more, “You. Do. Not. Belong. Here. You and all of your problems make everything so much harder for all of us, don’t you get that.”
Lia understood her clear as day now. She really was just an uber bitch, huh? Before Lia even got the chance to open her mouth to respond, she felt a gentle hand on her arm.
“What did you say to her?” Jongho’s grip was gentle on her arm but his voice was harsh in a way that almost caused her to jump. Stepping from her side, he came to shield her from the harsh manager.
“I-” Yerim stuttered for a second before gathering herself, “She does not have a badge on. No ID, she cannot be in this part of the building. That’s all I mean.” Her little lie wasn’t convincing for anyone involved.
Jongho had never really liked the youngest manager and was less than pleased with her behavior towards his girls. She was too clingy to Lyra, Lia hadn’t been the only one to notice the spam texts or when she would randomly interrupt not only Lyra’s English lessons but also her breaks when she would try and visit the boys or they would come to her. He didn’t consider himself a jealous man but when it came to his soulmates, he was always on high alert and hated to admit that he didn’t want anyone else taking any of their attention. They all belonged to him and he to all of them, everyone else could screw right off. There was only room for Ateez, his girls, and Atiny in his life, not this bitch in front of him.
“Well. She’s with me and her badge is in her bag in the practice room. It’s Lia, remember, you’ve been kind enough to pick her up for us. She’s our soulmate remember,” Jongho was calling her stupid in all but words, everyone knew who the girls were. All staff were more than aware at this point and even though Lia was at the company significantly less, that didn’t make her a stranger.
“Yes, bu-”
“Maybe your memory is going, don’t worry i’ll let Hajoon hyung know you’re struggling and maybe he can lighten your workload some,” Jongho had decided the conversation was over, guiding Lia back toward the practice room with steam practically rolling off of him.
“I’m so sorry, pretty. She doesn’t have the right to say anything like that to you.” Jongho was a bit flustered at this point, red in the face from anger. He was doing a silent check over her from head to toe.
“That was one of the most sexy things I think I have ever seen you do. And I have seen you walking around in nothing more than your boxers which is pretty fucking hot,” Lia was back to her old self in an instant, making Jongho a different type of flushed as he ushered her back into the practice room. Their other soulmates were way too loud as always.
“Yunho, I’m telling you. I can’t dance, especially shake my ass,” Lyra was in tears with laughter at the sight of Yunho and Mingi trying to show her how to ‘drop it low and work it’ as they had put it.
“Lia! Come here, pretty, I bet you can shake some ass can’t you or better yet let Wooyoungie teach you.” Wooyoung pulled her over to the chaos of their life. Her phone dinged as they all made it to the group.
“Work email?” San asked very tempted to look over her shoulder, the man was nosy what could he say.
Lia took in a deep breath upon reading the email. It had only been a few hours, she expected the results to take nearly all night. But low and behold, an email with the paternity of the child forming inside her was right there.
“Oh Hongjoong, I-'' Lia was going to cry again, god damn it. She had just stopped crying, pregnancy was overrated
“What? What;s wrong?” Hongjoong was now on high alert thinking the worst, had a saesang gotten her work email, or had someone died.
“We’re going to have a baby Kim in early 2023.”
And that is the story of how Hongjoong passed out in the practice room while not practicing. I’m just joking with you all, he passed out after Wooyoung started running down the hall trying to tell everyone the ‘happy baby news.’

[“Though a mother’s emotional stress exerts a direct influence on the child’s development and future health, it is not an isolated factor: interpersonal biology holds sway once again.
As was the case with Rae and me, there is a complex interplay between a woman’s psychological states and those of the father. A large Swedish survey recently showed that paternal depression in the year from preconception to the end of the second trimester elevated the risk of extreme prematurity (coming between weeks twenty-two and thirty-one of gestation) by nearly 40 percent. This effect was greater, in fact, than that of depression in the mother herself, which raised the risk only of moderate preterm birth (thirty-two weeks or after).
“Paternal depression is also known to affect sperm quality, have epigenetic effects on the DNA of the baby, and can also affect placenta function,” one of the researchers pointed out. At first blush, the father’s melancholy posing a greater risk than the mother’s seems an anomaly. As always, context is everything.
The social context for procreation in our world assigns women untenably stressful roles in every facet of life, including intimate relationships. Besides being the bearers of children, they’ve generally been expected to assuage the psycho-emotional stresses of the men in their lives. Mothering a child may be a mandate from Nature, but mothering a grown man is both unnatural and impossible. No wonder the father’s stress gets outsourced to the mother, at a cost to children and even to the gestating infant.
There is a predictable socioeconomic link, too: in a recent Wayne State University study that examined a low-resource, high-stress U.S. urban setting, abnormalities in brain connectivity were identified in scans of yet-unborn infants of mothers who reported elevated levels of depression, anxiety, worry, and stress during the last three months. Needless to say, physical factors such as nutrition and air quality interact with socioeconomic status, predisposing children to such problems as depression, anxiety, and ADHD.
“Poor people have more exposure to these things on all counts, whether the bad air, or psychosocial stress and other things,” Dr. Shanna Swan, reproductive endocrinologist and vice chair of preventive medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, pointed out. “That’s a societal problem and the changes are not going to be on an individual level. They’re going to be on a societal level.” Thus does inequality of opportunity, even in the basic biological sense, begin in the womb. Long before we had brain scans, blood tests, ultrasounds, and fetal heart monitors, ancient peoples intuitively understood the sanctity of the intrauterine environment.
I spoke once about addiction to a First Nations group here in British Columbia, quoting studies on prenatal development such as cited above. A young man came up to me afterward. “You know,” he said, “in our clan, tradition was that if you were angry or upset, you weren’t even allowed to go near a pregnant woman. We didn’t want you to inflict your troubles on her baby.” In some African tribal societies, infants were greeted by rituals while still in the mother’s belly, including with songs that would later welcome them into the world. Imagine hearing your own melody and lyrics, already familiar to you, as you are ceremonially ushered into your new home, the outside world.”]

For the trope mashup reijean + baby fic + the missus and the ex
Tumblr media
Hello!! I’m very sorry for the delay!! 💜💜
I don’t think I’ve ever written or even thought about the missus and the ex trope before. Interesting! Let’s see… mpreg time, folks!!
Jean is dating Eren who happens to be Reiner’s ex. The three of them meet during some high-profile event — I’d like Eren and Reiner to be lawyers in this universe. So, it’s definitely a party for the rich and influential, and Jean feels a little out of place because despite being Eren’s +1, he’s just an aspiring artist and not really someone the rich would like to be associated with on a daily basis. And then Reiner appears and makes everything even worse because he and Eren start arguing. Jean feels ignored as Eren is soo immersed in the conflict, he completely forgets about him. It even feels like Eren regrets breaking up with Reiner. Like he would like to get back with him if given a chance.
To avoid attracting even more unwanted attention, Jean leaves the party and is waiting for a taxi when Reiner reappears. He’s still pissed off and aching for a smoke, but his lighter isn’t working. Jean lends him his own, and the two of them start talking. It turns out Braun is not interested in getting back with Eren which puts Jean at ease, but it also makes him think that Eren is not really someone for him.
They end up going to a bar together. Reiner is pretty chill for a stuck-up lawyer, he doesn’t make Jean feel inferior in any way, and he seems to be genuinely interested in his art. He also has some funny Eren trivia, and Jean can’t help but dial down his usual sarcasm and enjoy his company. He enjoys it so much, they end up in bed together. It’s supposed to be a one night stand, just a friendly quickie between two men with a broken heart, but things get complicated when Jean finds out he’s pregnant a month later.
The worst thing is he isn’t even sure who the father is, and he has to inform both Eren (who he has broken up with) and Reiner (whose last name he barely remembers) about the situation. He’s also shocked by his own decision to keep the baby even though he’s destined to be a single parent. He refuses to do the prenatal paternity test, not willing to risk a miscarriage, and to his surprise Reiner offers him his full support. If Jean needs anything during the pregnancy, he can count on him. And Braun delivers on his promise which leads to them becoming good friends. Jean even begins to think that maybe, just maybe, he won’t have to be a single dad…
Thank you!!

Ruby bit her tongue, staring out the window. It'd been two weeks since she'd grabbed a weapon blindly from the table in the basement and tried to stab Rafe with a knife sharpener, and ten days since Rafe declared that he was getting Ruby a prenatal paternity test. She hadn't actually done any damage, so Rafe wasn't mad-- at least, he wasn't taking it out on her.
Sometimes, JJ's sobs echoed up the vent after Rafe came back upstairs. And that was the worst type of psychological torture.
--
It'd been six hours since the results came back-- clearly labeled inconclusive.
It'd been three hours since Rafe'd brought Ruby back from the doctor's office, where she'd gotten an ultrasound.
Twins. Ruby assumed one was Rafe's and one was JJ's, but how was--
It didn't matter how it was possible, it only mattered that Ruby came up with a way to stop Rafe from hurting JJ.
So far, she had nothing but the dead phone from Sage and tear tracks on her cheeks.
--
Rafe was out. He hadn't locked the door. Ruby knew when he'd be back-- she had plenty of time to visit JJ.
Or call 911. No, scratch that-- Rafe had the cops in his pocket. Of course he did.
Ruby crept down the stairs as silently as possible. The basement stairs creaked under her weight, and she could hear JJ protest softly.
"Rafe, c'mon, man, y-you got what you wanted..."
"JJ?" Ruby whispered. She was all turned around, used to Rafe finding the switch that was built much higher in the wall than it should've been.
"Wh-- Ruby?"
"JJ, baby, just keep talking."
"What do you want? I thought Rafe kept you happy and satisfied, or whatever bullshit he called it--"
Ruby's hand found JJ's shoulder and crept up to hold his face. "How come you believe Rafe's bullshit? I love you, JJ, not fucking Rafe. Okay?"
JJ went quiet for a moment. "I... I'm sorry."
"You'd better be," Ruby said, leaning down to kiss JJ's forehead. "I'm gonna get you out, okay? He's gone, but I don't know how much longer we have."
--
Ruby led JJ up the stairs, keeping a firm hold on his hand. She still wasn't quite sure if he could see or not, but it didn't matter. They were getting out.
That's when the front door slammed.
Rafe.
He went through the kitchen and passed the hallway JJ and Ruby were in without a second thought. It was only when he saw the basement door, left wide open, that he reacted.
"Ruby!" Rafe's yell echoed throughout the house, shaking Ruby to her core. Her heart jumped into her throat and she started to move faster, toward the door. "Ruby Routledge, I know you're still in here! You'd better stop moving or I swear to God--"
"Are you gonna make her kill me?" JJ crowed, splitting off from Ruby with surprising agility. "Gonna have her spill my blood? Maybe make her wear it 'round her neck? You sick bastard!"
His voice was so loud that it filled the house, making it impossible for Rafe to tell where it was coming from.
"JJ!" Ruby whisper-yelled, rounding the corner, following the blood that JJ's footprints left--
Rafe's yell this time was different. She'd come into the kitchen just in time to see JJ drive the knife into Rafe's back.
HAHA YES! I’VE BEEN WAITING SINCE DAY ONE FOR THIS MOMENT I’M SO HAPPY😭

Why You Should Prenatal DNA Testing And Why It Might Be A Good Idea For You
Prenatal Dna Testing is a process that is often used to screen for genetic abnormalities in a fetus. It can also be used to assess the health of the pregnant woman. There are many reasons why you might want to do prenatal dna testing, and we will explore some of them in this article.
Tumblr media
What is prenatal dna testing?
Prenatal dna testing is a process by which DNA from the fetus can be measured. This testing can help to determine any health risks that may be associated with the baby’s genetic makeup. It can also help to identify any possible medical conditions that the baby may have. There are a number of reasons why prenatal dna testing might be a good idea for you and your baby.
Some potential benefits of prenatal dna testing include:
Identifying any potential health risks associated with the baby’s genetic makeup.
Detecting any medical conditions that the baby may have.
Helping to plan for future health needs if necessary.
Assessing how well the pregnancy is going based on fetal development progressions.
Benefits of prenatal dna testing
Prenatal dna testing is a relatively new technology that has been gaining popularity in recent years. The benefits of prenatal dna testing are wide-ranging and can include the following:
Improved understanding of your child's health history.
Identification of any potential genetic abnormalities.
Detection of pregnancy complications early on, allowing for appropriate treatment and prevention.
Guidance on lifestyle changes that may be beneficial for your pregnant wife or girlfriend.
Risks of prenatal dna testing
There are many benefits to prenatal DNA testing, but it also carries some risks. Here’s a look at the pros and cons of prenatal DNA testing to help you decide if it’s right for you.
Benefits of Prenatal DNA Testing
There are a lot of reasons why someone might choose to undergo prenatal DNA testing. Some people may want to know their risk for genetic disorders, while others may want to find out whether they have inherited any genetic mutations that could increase their risk for certain diseases later in life. Some health care providers may also recommend prenatal DNA testing as part of a pre-birth diagnosis or genetic counseling program.
The main benefits of prenatal DNA testing include the following:
1) You can learn about your personal risk for various genetic disorders. 2) You can find out whether you have inherited any genetic mutations that could increase your risk for developing specific diseases in the future. 3) You can learn about your family history and potentially identify other relatives who may be at increased risk for certain diseases. 4) It can provide peace of mind during pregnancy knowing that you and your baby are not at increased risk for birth defects or other serious problems. 5) If there is an issue with the pregnancy, you will have more information about what caused the problem so that you can seek appropriate medical care. 6) Prenatal DNA testing is generally considered safe during pregnancy, although there
When should you have prenatal dna testing?
Prenatal dna testing is a valuable way to learn more about your unborn child and can help identify any health risks. Testing can also provide you with information about your family history, which can be helpful if you have concerns about hereditary diseases.
If you are expecting a baby, it is important to have prenatal testing done as soon as possible after conception. The sooner the test is done, the more accurate the results will be. However, some tests are not able to be performed until after the baby is born.
There are many reasons why you might want to have prenatal testing done. If you are pregnant and have any concerns about your health or that of your unborn child, prenatal testing may be an appropriate step for you. Prenatal testing can also help identify any health risks associated with your pregnancy and guide you on how to best care for yourself and your baby.
Cost of prenatal dna testing
Prenatal dna testing is a relatively new and growing field in medical science. It is becoming more popular as families become more aware of the benefits and cost of this type of testing. Some benefits of prenatal dna testing include:
1) Tracking Down Birth Defects: Prenatal dna testing can help identify birth defects in the baby before they occur. This can save both the baby and parents from potential health problems down the road.
2) Identifying Health Risks: Prenatal dna testing can also help identify health risks for the baby, such as genetic conditions or diseases. This information can be helpful in making informed decisions about pregnancy and child-rearing.
3) Prevents Major Problems Later On: Prenatal dna testing can also help prevent major problems later on, such as developmental issues or even mental disorders. Knowing which risks the baby is exposed to can help put an end to these issues before they start.
Conclusion
If you're pregnant, it's important to know the risks of having a child with genetic disorders. Prenatal testing can help identify any issues early on and provide families with the information they need to make informed decisions about their future. If you are thinking about prenatal testing, there are many things you should consider, such as whether or not you want to know your exact diagnosis and what kind of tests you would like performed. We hope this article has helped shed some light on the importance of DNA testing Florida and why it might be a good idea for you and your family.

I love when people who claim to be pro-choice start quibbling about when abortion stops being okay to appeal to anti-choice fucks. Like, "Oh, nooo, abortion at this point is bad! We can agree on that point, so let's compromise and find a point where we're both anti-abortion together!"
There is no point in gestation where abortion is wrong. Your own bodily autonomy never becomes murder. Just as refusing to donate your kidneys to a fully fledged, fully formed human being isn't murder, refusing to donate your uterus, nutrients, blood, life to a baby isn't murder.
I understand that as we get later into a pregnancy, the more iffy it may *feel* but the point remains the same. And I don't think we even need to get into appeals to emotion by going "Well, any pregnancy termination after *x amount of weeks, months* MUST be a wanted pregnancy, so we should feel bad for whoever is seeking to end it. It must just be about the carrier's health or maybe it the pregnancy is no longer viable." The reasons don't fucking matter.
There are some people who want to end their pregnancy the second they find out but find out late or need time to raise money or need time to get away from an abuser. There are people whose circumstances change--not just health circumstances, either. There are people who simply change their mind.
And they all deserve to exercise bodily autonomy to end said pregnancy.
But if we want to avoid later-stage terminations, make abortion free. Make all prenatal care free, too, so that health issues can be caught earlier and wanted pregnancies are more likely to be carried to term. Make sure there is a way to access abortion everywhere, not just one place per state. Make pregnancy tests, including early pregnancy detection tests, free and more widely available. Make birth control and plan b more accessible (and more well tested, funded, so that ALL people who need it have access to something that actually works for them and aren't hindered by weight limits).
Codify more maternal leave. Codify pregnancy leave and better protections for people who can't work while pregnancy. Financially support pregnant people. Financially support new parents who shouldn't have to work while wearing post partum pads. Support PATERNAL leave as well, so parents who just gave birth aren't forced to effectively be single parents right out the gate.
Like... the solution to "Oh no, abortion after X point feels ICKY!" is not cutting off abortion access or saying "Only if you're gonna die" or whatever. It is making early abortion more accessible. It is making birth control more accessible. And it is making it so that people who WANT pregnancies but cannot afford them can actually afford them.
The number of abortions after 20, 30 weeks will never be zero. And that is fine. That is not a moral failure, no matter the reason they are happening. But if you're really gonna stress about them... this is the path to reduce those numbers.

Sneak Peek (Anymore)
So, some people wanted me to make my Steve Rogers oneshot "Anymore" have more than one chapter, so I'm now on a mission to break your hearts. Here's a sneak peek of what's coming tomorrow.
taglist: @kandis-mom@missvelvetsstuff@mavrellover91@natashasilverfox

Hello! I was just reading that post where you answered the ask about who got yuno pregnant (or, from how I'm guessing you phrased it, who yuno got pregnant from [does that makes sense?] and it slowly fell into place for me (i think it kinda makes sense? She wanted to stay with this guy, so the pregnancy, then the man said he couldn't have that, so abortion?)
just wondering, for some of the scenes during teardrop (specifically the one where she's lying down with her arm over her face and a water bottle), how does that fit into the theory? I've seen it be viewed as her getting drugged and stuff like that.
it's probably just me overthinking things and could be chalked up to yuno just being sick or whatever, but I was just wondering!
Okay, I can elaborate on that further. I really like Yuno and discussing her. She's a genuinely nice and well thought out character especially how they handle her occupation.
That phrasing makes sense because there are multiple people that could have been the cause of the pregnancy, I didn't think phrasing it as this is definitely the father would be right of me. Since the father of the child could have turned out to not be the man Yuno wanted to be with but another client. Since she seems to have been seeing multiple clients at around the same time.
This could also be one of the reasons she ended up getting an abortion. If a different client got her pregnant and a prenatal paternity test showed that the one who she liked was not the father, she may no longer have wanted the child as a result. This would play into the possible multiple meanings behind the line,
"I messed up. I found out."
I've discussed how Yuno and Haruka work as a pair briefly. However, I feel it's important to expand upon my previous points. Since at the time I didn't do her or Haruka justice since I was trying to get to the Futa and Muu post. Haruka and Yuno both killed to get the affection they were seeking whether it be from a parent or romantic partner.
Yuno's trial songs and covers reflect this aspect of her character. In contrast to Haruka's familial ties to the person he's seeking attention from Yuno has contractual ties to the person she wants affection from. Affection that cannot be fulfilled with how her relationships are now.
"UNDER” My cord’s being pulled but nothing’s ever enough Contractual desires, oh what to do, FUTURE."
She can't get the romantic satisfaction she's seeking because all of these dates are contractual. This difference in understanding romance and genuine affection between Haruka and Yuno is highlighted within their first written interrogation.
Q.03  What’s the difference between “love” and “romance”?
Haruka: Don’t they both mean liking someone?
Yuno: “Love” is the feeling and “romance” is the state, right?
Along with the difference in worldly experiences between them.
Q.14 What’s an event that’s stuck in your memory?
Haruka: Fireworks.
Tumblr media
Yuno: There’s so many I can’t think of just one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Desire, bestow, and desire again... The episode reloading on an endless loop. The fading warmth makes me anxious again tear drops succumb and fall."
I've mentioned this before in another post but tear drops/tear drop is spelled wrong in English. In English it's a compound word teardrop like how you spelled it within the ask. However, the word tear on its own means to tear something up basically pull or rip it apart. So, this could be read as Tear Drop to tear and drop something.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A thing we see Yuno explicitly do within her music video as she messes up the room she was in throwing and breaking stuff. This isn't something that can be easily overlooked. A quick google search would tell someone the word isn't spelled this way. Looking in an English dictionary would very easily inform someone this is a compound word.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That coupled with this scene make this spelling choice come off as convenient and intentional wordplay. Sorry, getting sidetracked this does tie into your question though.
You see the pictures comparing the dates we see her photograph in the daytime in comparison to the evening shots we're shown in Tear Drop. Chances are that these dates were all day things as alluded to through the lyrics in Umbilical,
"Is it a day off tomorrow? But, anyway, let’s be together till the morning. “Good morning” “Good night” I want to be with you as many times as I can."
The scenes we see depicted in Tear Drop are more than likely just the aftermath of all the dates we see in Umbilical.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This means that when Yuno is lying down in the car, she more than likely was not drugged but taking a break from working all day. She could have even been waiting for the man she was with to come back out and drop her off closer to her neighborhood but nowhere near her actual house.
A lot of people's assumptions about Yuno's situation can only work if one assumes Yuno is stupid. I don't know how else to put it. One would have to assume that Yuno was in her words a,
"“Poor naive little girl”?" To get to that conclusion.
If it is to be believed that Yuno who has been doing sex work with multiple people was drugged in that scene. That would mean one of a few things happened,
A. Yuno took a random bottle of any sort of drink/ that had already been opened and possibly resealed or had no seal of any kind from this client. Then she did not ask where it came from or to go to a store to pick out a drink herself but instead just drank it to be polite and respectful of her client's generosity.
Because Yuno really cares about being polite, especially in work settings.
20/07/08
Yuno: Hey, Mikoto-san... Don’t you get tired being so conscious of others all the time? I mean, you’re free to do what you want though.
Mikoto: Eh…… Aha, what are you talking about? I’m not being conscious or anything. It’s normal to make sure to get along with everyone, right? I mean, when you put it like that, aren’t you the same, Yun-chan? You’re always smiling and getting on with everyone too.
Yuno: I don’t smile unless I actually want to. Though with you when you’re talking with other people it’s more like you only smile deliberately. So, I kept thinking, don’t your cheeks get tired? Ah, is this just what happens when you become a working adult? ……you see people like that sometimes.
Mikoto: Haha, you don’t mince your words do you. …….that was never my intention, but now that you mention it, yeah, I guess I do.
This might’ve been since I started my job too…… But like, if I was rude to everyone I met, all my efforts would come to nothing, right?
Or in personal settings-
20/08/02
Mahiru: Yeah, I’m asking for what you like in the opposite sex! I mean, with a lifestyle like this we have a lot of free time, right? So earlier when I was talking with all the other girls we got onto the topic! It’s not often you get a chance like this to live with a mix of men and women together, so I thought it might be nice to use the chance to talk about stuff like this in preparation for when we leave.
Kazui: Ah…… Haha, I understand. I can see that’d be the sort of thing girls your age would be interested in, huh. How peaceful. What I like in the opposite sex… I don’t know if what I say will really be a good reference for you…… Ah, you know, since I’m at this age. I like a girl who can just smile free of worries. Seeing that’d make my old, tired heart feel young again.
Yuno: Uh-huh, I see, I see. ……that’s a total lie, right?
Kazui: Haha…… Give me a break here. You sure don’t make things easy for people, Kashiki-chan.
So, at this point her client had given her a random drink and she did not visibly see him get the drink beforehand. She's decided okay might as well trust it what's the worst that could happen. Not a common thing for anyone in her profession to do but she's young and reckless apparently let's throw caution to the wind. Despite that seeming completely out of character let's keep going down this road, maybe she really trusted and had faith in this client.
Even though based on her clothing it's not the client she was attracted to since that's the one she meets in her school uniform. Then after being drugged Yuno leant back the car seat to rest inside the car of the client who had just drugged her. Instead of removing herself from the situation immediately, going to the nearest public area, or seeking medical attention or help of any kind. Zero suspicions about being drugged or questions on why she's suddenly feeling tired nope she's like well I have been out all day.
Next option
B. Yuno at some time during her workday with this specific client left her drink/belongings within the vehicle unattended and the client tampered with them. Upon reentering the vehicle Yuno unsuspecting continued drinking her drink. This leads to the same events happening that unfold in option A.
Outside of it just seeming incredibly out of character for Yuno the other problem with this idea is that we are shown during the beginning of the date in Umbilical that the person or Yuno herself brought a different drink entirely. The one within the cupholder which was full during Umbilical and now sits empty during the overhead night view shot of her in the car during Tear Drop.
This is the same cup showing us that this event is taking place on the same day as the last scene we saw with her dressed the same way. The water bottle is the only new item here and Yuno's purse is now nowhere in the shot. Meaning there is a possibility that Yuno brought a water bottle with her inside her bag that she had at the beginning of the date. She then took out said water bottle for herself before placing the purse within the backseat more than likely after her client asked her to wait in the car.
She could have even snuck out of the car and purchased the bottle from somewhere nearby. However, if this client had the habit of having Yuno wait in the car as some can to avoid being seen with someone that is not their significant other in public. Then she very well could have brought water and food within the bag she arrived to the car with. This seems to be the case because we only see Yuno dressed like this when she is within a car.
Because of all this I believe what Yuno was doing here was just taking a moment for herself while waiting for who she was with to return to the car. Her appearing this fatigued also makes sense given that trial two establishes the fact that Yuno was at a time pregnant. Which can lead to fatigue and nausea throughout the day along with other symptoms. Far before a person ever becomes aware of the fact that they are pregnant.

From Secular Pro-Life on Facebook:
This study [X] found that when health care providers explained prenatal genetic screening to their pregnant patients, they frequently left out important information:
--In half the conversations they didn't explain that screening results aren't diagnostic;
--In more than half, they didn't emphasize that it's the woman's choice whether to undergo screening; and
--In about two thirds, they didn't explain that the results could (and likely would) be used to guide women on whether to continue or terminate a pregnancy.
Meanwhile other surveys have found that, in the event screening suggests higher odds of genetic issues, health care providers are far more likely to emphasize abortion than continuing the pregnancy (see "Prenatal Testing and Disability Rights" Parens & Asch).
Informed consent would be giving women complete and accurate information in a neutral way. Leaving out important context and pushing some options over others isn't informed consent; it's paternalism and, in this case, it's also ableism.
If you or someone you know is facing the possibility of a prenatal diagnosis, please share the following resources with them:
