So, as a casual mecha fan, and someone who hasn't watched Evangelion in years, I've decided to try and watch the redub. With most my memory of the adv dub having faded (it's been almost a decade since I fully watched), this should be interesting.
That's episode 1 complete. It's basic, it's clear the actors are putting in a fine performance. There's a couple of times where dialogue seems a bit too reverent to feel natural, principally when Shinji declares his father's job as admirable, but it gets the point across, Shinji's father is important and people hold him in high regard. The only, honest to god problem line is when Shinji, the individual, is referred to as the "Third Children", like what's that about?
Overall, not bad, we'll see where it goes. Oh and I don't mind the piano piece used for the ending instead of "Fly Me to the Moon".
*taps mic* QSMP Frozen AU with Pac as Anna because it emphasises the importance of familial love and genuine romantic compassion and Fixer-Upper is soooo Hideduo-coded
