Okay so I think that they have a totally different way of dealing with issues and obviously, they know each other really well so they know what to expect, enjoy

If you want actual good advice to help you deal with the issue, you go to Terrence Higgs. Higgs is the most mature one of them and has that balance between being good with emotions and being logical

If you want to rant about your feelings and cry on sb's shoulder, you go to Adrian Pucey and Miles Bletchley. What can I say, they are lovely, cuddly creatures. They will listen to you, cry with you, and cuss person who hurt you

If you want to forget for a while, you go to Peregrine Derrick and Lucian Bole. The most social and outgoing duo. They will take you somewhere to have fun so you won't think about that stuff for a while. We all know how annoying it is when you can't stop thinking about something. They will keep you entertained and busy and having fun

If you want to get rid of emotions, you go to Marcus Flint, Graham Montague, and Cassius Warrington. Training (Graham's favourite though not the healthiest way to get rid of emotions, especially anger), brutal Quidditch match, destroying something, setting something on fire. Honestly, who has never punched sth with rage? Sometimes you just have to unwind all those unwanted emotions before doing anything to actually solve the problem

This sainthood of Lily is a bit funny, because Lily was out here making excuses for her best friend’s blood purity for legit years, she had to repeatedly make excuses for him to her other friends and she admits this in DH. It’s actually more interesting to think about that side of her, the side that refuses to let go of a loved one and won’t accept what they’ve become until she quite literally has no choice but to do so.

i dont think lily was ever opposed to james in swm because of the macro 'bullying innocents' aspect. i think it was a problem only bc he targeted snape (and thats an imp distinction for me) bc we know, from her later conversations, that she was friends with snape knowing his friends (and him, presumably) tortured/bothered innocent muggleborns and didn't really do anything until it came to her. she gives off more of the ~privileged minority vibes than ~social justice warrior to me, tbh. and it's interesting--because not making her a paragon of morality is so much more fascinating to me.

Not me reading about the whole Kisame-Shisui thing "He's from Konoha but he's so Kiri"/"He's from Kiri but he's so Konohan" and imagining some sort of Hogwarts AU where Shisui is in Hufflepuff and Kisame in Slytherin and they become friends almost by accident and after a while Shisui starts seeing so much loyalty and sense of justice (the whole Kisame thing is that he values truth above almost everything else, I mean...) usually associated with Hufflepuff in Kisame while Kisame starts seeing a more ambitious and resourcefulness side of Shisui that is usually associated with Slytherin

(And also ofc Slytherin/Hufflepuff always makes the best pairing, both platonic and romantic)

Kisame is gruff and he had a very premature growth spurt and he's not very chatty, he demolishes the field in quidditch (beater paired with Zabuza) and students basically scrabble out of his way in corridors

And then kisame finds himself paired with shisui in a group protect in their DADA OWL/5th year class, identifying curses on an artefact as half of their final project's grade, and-

Shisui isn't some angel. He knows far too much about casting dark magic, he manipulates the staff like a pro, there's a devilish gleam in his eyes and his famous dimpled grin can tug into a devastating smirk. He is alarmingly ambitious and resourceful.

Kisame isn't a monster. He is diligent with his work and sensitive to those around him as well as with magic, he has a strong moral compass and a spine of steel, his fierce gaze can soften with fondness and his mouth can quirk with amusement. He is disarmingly truthful and loyal.
