Eddie’s live-streaming, just chattering away about nothing in particular when Steve comes into the room. Hes holding his phone away from his face, frowning at it before rolling his eyes.

The phone is not on speaker but you can clearly hear the lecture that’s Steve’s ignoring when he turns to Eddie and gives him that smile that gets him everything he wants, “Hi, baby.”

Just because Eddie is aware that he’s being played, doesn’t mean he doesn’t love the game, “Stevie, do you want something?”

“Nothing big,” Steve nods. “Just the number of that lawyer you have on retainer.”

The audience at home can visually se Eddie’s brain come to a screeching halt, “I don’t have a lawyer. My recons label has a lawyer.”

“Yeah, that’s fine.”

Eddie leans in and whispers, “…What did you do?”

“Nothing, yet,” Steve replies, dropping the act all together. “My lawyer says she won’t defend me if I get arrested. Traitor.”

Oh, yeah. That is definitely Erica’s voice lecturing him on the phone. Cool. Eddie nods to himself, “Arrested for what?”

“I’m going to throw a rock through our neighbor’s window.”

There’s a beat where Eddie realizes he’s serious and is like, “Is that a reasonable response to a guy accidentally backing his truck into our flower bed.”

“No, we’re pass that,” Steve says over his shoulder, leaving both Eddie and his phone behind. “I’m going to burn down his house though.”

Eddie shakes his head, looks back at his live-stream but then hears a sound and is like, “Was that front door? Did he leave? Shit.”

And then Eddie’s gone.

the chapter songs in Alan Wake 2,, flawless

#they deserve more love and discussion #saying this while also not knowing what to say other than they’re so fucking good #alan wake 2 #i think it’s partially because poets of the fall’s tracks are iconic so of course they’re in the spotlight (as deserved) #but also the CHAPTER SONGS. them being made for a given chatacter(s) with the help of Sam lakes poetry #the changes with ‘this road’ by Poe with every Alan chapter. becoming more distorted and revealing lyrics and the spiral #the scratch song being 1) hilarious and 2) similar to Zane’s poetry in the aw1 arg #the emotion in superhero when saga feels lost at the story making it so Logan was gone #the lines of her feeling like a ghost in this story forming around her.. how she feels guilty and absent for both what the story’s doing #and being away from Logan because of her job. ashdhhhhjhh my heart #AND. follow you into the dark HAS to be alice. which kills me because at for at I thought of Alan #but no. Alice jumped in the dark place after him. it’s so !!!!!!!!!!! #the rabbit hole line. Alice spiraling deeper and deeper into a dream—into wonderland #the Lost at Sea one is also good. intrigues me. the Bowie and Lynch references are blatantly aw2 Zane #but it’s so similar to diver Zane and the ‘originals’ death. being lost in the dark place with illusions of escape #and losing any sense of identity. whether he’s real at all or the monster of this sea or just a lost soul. #the soft and calm vocals / instrumental really makes the whole thing #NEED to stop typing more tags because this is a Lot. however. #‘no one left to love’ is also a phenomenal song and one of my favorites from the album. GORGEOUS vocals and how it all flows together. #such a powerful and beautiful way to end a chapter #anyway that’s all I had to say :) #god. I’ve started to watch a few playthroughs of the game and 90% of people have skipped the chapter songs and every time im #that’s fair but my brain and soul might implode if I don’t see anyone else talking about how good these songs are

Once Queen Lyndette took the throne of Crestfall, her first order of business was reorganizing the Royal Guard so they could station themselves across Lyrea and return the rule of law to its neglected towns and cities. However, she kept many of them at Crestfall Castle, and among them were the Queensguard, stoic defenders of the Queen and her throne room.

In time, the thrill of the Fell King's demise passed, and the public grew to resent the new guard, who seemed all too focused on protecting themselves an their Queen than on tackling the larger ills still plaguing the kingdom. But that didn't seem to dissuade the recruitment posters perpetually plastered throughout the town square, nor diminish the undeniable prestige of those fortunate enough to join the Queensguard's ranks!

Meanwhile, way out in Cobbleston, a young tiefling named Mishka held no love for the uppity Queensguard back at the capital. She barely respected her fellow Royal Guard members (especially Brent. Ugh, Brent.) But it put food on her table and ale in her belly, so she found little reason to complain. She wouldn't mind something a bit more adventurous, though...

Still not over the fact we didn't have Ash previous pokémon in early Journeys, such wasted potentials 😤

I wanted to have seen Infernape, Pignite and Hawlucha going Trio Of Fathers Mode over Riolu and training him until he became a Lucario!!

I WANTED TO SEE THE FIGHTING-TYPES TRAINING THIS FIGHTING-TYPE-JR!!

Also, Scraggy could've easily been that rival who nobody would take serious and would always just look immature, but in the end be the one to help Riolu/Lucario the most!! WE WERE ROBBED 😤😤

I wanted to see Charizard become best buddy of Dragonite and them getting along in keep an eye on the other pokémon from Sakuragi Park, just like he surely does with Bulbasaur and the voices in my head are right!! 😤

Also, I missed the double battles, these two would be SUCH a duo of beasts!!

You know what?? Hawlucha and Oshawot should've bonded with Farfetch'd, they would be perfect to teach this duck how to respect their trainer!!

Noctowl playing the babysitter to Gengar is some ride I'll die on, this oldman owl KNOWS to deal with these ghostly gremlins!!

Dracovish actually is hard to picture with the old ones... Maybe Glalie and Snorlax... Maybe his capture could be when Ash stopped rotate the team...

ANYWAY, I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE GOT AT LEAST ONE FRAME OF FLASHBACK BATTLING FOR THE NORMAL AND SUPER CLASS!! While the new ones got the full on-screen important battles.

Meta-Ghost: Prologue is a top down boss rush rogue-lite with some really cool character designs and color appearance that caught my attention. I also like picking characters when they're just like chilling in a room. I blame 1080 Snowboarding. Progression is via a mod system that looks kinda complex at least from what I can tell.

Astral Party is a colorful anime party game.

Minami Lane is a chill management sim where you build a floating Japanese street in the sky or something. It looks really chill, and it's only a couple hours of gameplay, not all strung out like animal crossing.

Grand Soul Saga is a sci-fi 16 bit rpg. It has a LOT of that SNES rpg influence. The pixel art is pretty well put together, and it has nice animation that I wasn't expecting - though I found it hard to piece together a theme to the scenery from the trailer.

Nekokami: Internship is a world building game that is themed around cats. Another chill game, it has dialog and multiple cat spirits to please.

my thoughts on Saga Anderson and the lack of spotlight on her in fanworks

Hmmm…this has been bothering me since I waded into the fandom after AW2 dropped. WHY DOES 99.9% OF THE FANDOM SLEEP ON SAGA WHILE IT'S HALF HER GAME???

I DON'T understand the fixation on Casey (even though I adore him and he's the other half of my OTP), or Zane to the point that when Saga is in ensemble art, she's relegated to being the "bro". And for what purpose? She has just as much build up and storyline as Alan himself. She certainly has more screen time than FBI Casey. I see posts going "oh, I love Saga so much, she was so badass" and then almost nothing when it comes to fan work.

Do y'all understand, how, as a black woman, this frustrates me to NO end? I go to her tag on AO3, see new fics, get excited...just to see she's the bro or footnote to CaseyWake. I've literally been brought to TEARS over this. Saga was written with SO much love and care, and it's so obvious. She was not the stereotypical sassy, angry, loud black woman that we tend to get when we're even thought of at all.

And it's genuinely PAINFUL to see all of the love, all of that care, ALL OF THAT RESPECT, IGNORED by fandom because you want to focus on the white men. Because why? I get it, het is so icky for most of you, fine. But to not even give her fanart/fics just on her and her daughter? It's terribly egregious.

Saga Anderson is genuinely a role model. She's smart, warm, funny, dedicated, sympathetic and passionate. She will change REALITY just to save the ones she loves. She's NEVER had to deal with anything like the Bright Falls situation and she came through it with such GRACE. She saved the fucking day. She did what Alan couldn't do in THIRTEEN YEARS. And she gets no recognizance in fanworks?

And I know the majority of this fandom happens to be made up of women, at least for fanworks. You truly mean to tell me you can't, at all, even a little bit, relate to this woman? You can't make her the focus, instead of a background character? The white men are easier to understand and draw/write for?

I can't tell anyone who to like, or who to ship, nor would I ever try to, because on the internet, it seems like het is icky despite how amazing the woman is. But I've seen comments towards andercase fanart going "Saga, no, you're married!" But shipping CaseyWake in the same breath, despite Alan being married and getting back to his wife being the main motivation for Alan to do anything at all.

It comes off as hypocritical, it comes off a wee bit "I don't know what to do with this black woman...hmm, let's just make her root for CaseyWake" I'm left feeling that Sam and the team love Saga more than the fans ever do or will. And that fucking sucks. Because to put so much thought into a character and love the character, just to be ignored?

That hurts, really really badly. I genuinely enjoyed feeling like I was represented. I loved having a character I could relate to, one I could understand. But it feels like I'm in the minority. When she tells Alan he's not alone in this, this is THEIR story...well, that was the truth for me, and I wish others felt the same way.

I genuinely adore the works Saga has gotten that focus on her, and I see so much love and care put into them. It just somehow feels like fandom made this game into CaseyWake 24/7 and it's icky.
