Prince! Loki x Asgardian reader

Chapter 1 Next

“Well then I’ll marry.” Loki declared, almost triumphantly as if he had just solved the biggest problem known to the kingdom of Asgard.

“Loki, you can’t be serious.”

“I am” he insisted, pausing his pacing “if marriage is what it takes to get the throne then I am to wed.” Loki stated.

“And who will you marry?”

“There are a few ladies in which I am courting, I’ll simply marry one of them and then take my rightful title as King of Asgard.” He began to grin.

“And who’s to say any of these maidens will agree to marry you?”

“The promise of a throne” Loki shrugged as if the answer was simple and obvious “I myself wouldn’t even turn that down and I’m already a prince” he scoffed “I’m sure any of them would be delighted to marry me. They could even been Queen consort for a few decades and then perhaps they’ll get bored and then leave or if not, perhaps an accident befalls them and—”

“Loki!” He was cut off.

“Remind me, why am I even talking to you.” Loki sighed, annoyed by the interruption.

“Because I’m the only person you trust.”

“That’s right.” Loki agreed, turning towards the clone of himself he had deployed to reason with.

“What you need to do is find someone who will be willing to pretend to be in love with you up until a wedding occurs where they will then disappear leaving you crowned King of Asgard.” It plotted.

“You’re right” Loki smiled “I’ll find some sort of hopeless maiden and promise her some golden coins or something in return for her hand in marriage.” Loki declared.

The following day, Loki decided to go on a walk to clear his head. Like most walks, this one consisted of visiting the more lowly parts of Asgard where the peasants and working folk resided meaning hearty mead and the occasional leg up in the back of the brewery. Loki often imagined the look on his fathers face if he ever discovered that he frequented such a dingy place, risking the integrity of the palace and all its occupants; it made the whole clandestine visit that more appealing, that more desired. He walked through one of the alleyways, picturing Odin’s face before he felt a weight crash against his chest followed by a yelp.

“Watch where you’re going.” He instantly spoke, assuming the figure standing to their feet was a drunkard.

“Likewise.” You scoffed, pushing his steadying hand on your forearm away. Once you were on your feet, firmly rooted onto the ground, you looked up at your attacker, narrowing your gaze. “I feel like I’m supposed to know who you are.” You challenged suspiciously.

“I guess I just have one of those faces.” Loki excused.

“No” you began, grabbing his chin as you inspected him “you look familiar, really familiar.” You continued, the man pulling away from your touch.

“Unhand me deprived wench.” He scorned, stepping backwards causing you to gasp as it hit you.

“You’re the pri—”

“Shhh.” He silenced you, covering your mouth with his hand. “You know not what you speak of. Why would a prince be somewhere as unpleasant as here?” He queried.

“You know, Thor sometimes comes here.” You replied.

“He does?”

“Yes.” You nodded.

“Well I’ll be sure to—”

“Ha!” You beamed “you are Loki.”

“Fine” he relented “but don’t breathe a word of my being here to anyone.” He warned menacingly.

“Okay.” You shrugged just as Loki began reaching into his pocket. “A-are you trying to buy my silence?” You asked, watching him rummaging through his pocket.

“Yes, how much will it cost?” He asked.

“Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone, besides, who’d believe me, I’m just a deprived wench.” You huffed.

“Sorry.” Loki apologised.

“Anyways, I’m just on my way home so if you’d excuse me.” You dismissed.

“Of course.” Loki spoke, moving out of your way, his eyes rounding when he realised you were going into the little door that was behind him. “This is where you live?” He questioned almost aghast.

“No, there’s a magical portal inside that transports me to one of the rooms in the palace” you answered sarcastically “yes, this is where I live.”

“It’s tiny.” Loki noted, stepping towards the door and looking inside.

“You’re insulting me again.” You remarked.

“Sorry.” He apologised again.

“I would offer you something to eat but no.” You decided, walking further inside and leaving the door open.

“No?” Loki spoke, raising an eyebrow as he cautiously took your nonverbal invitation and stepped inside.

“No.” You nodded.

“No what?” He replied, recognising the pictures in the callander on your wall; they were all of the palace.

“No, I don’t want to offer you something to eat.” You explained.

“Well I’m not hungry.” Loki argued.

“Good, because I wasn’t offering.” You replied.

“Fine.”

“Fine.” You finished, Loki unmoving as he subtly glanced around your place, eyes lingering on the pictures of the palace you had stuck to the walls. It felt surreal having one of the actual princes stood in your room but you put the whole experience down to having too much mead. You decided to further test this delusion and continue the conversation. “Well unless you’re going to offer me a seat at the royal dining table or an audience with the queen, I suggest you leave.” You broke the silence causing Loki to snap out of his staring competition with the picture of the palace that showed part of his room as he remembered his dilemma.

“And what would you be willing to do for a seat at the royal dining table?” He questioned, smirking making your eyes round in realisation.

“Not that!” You gasped.

“It would only be until I am crowned king.” He tried to explain.

“You want me to sleep with you until you’re a king? What the fu—”

“I think we’re thinking of two different things” Loki interrupted leaving you confused “tell me ummm—what’s your name?”

“Y/n.” You answered.

“Lovely” he clapped “tell me y/n, are you married?”

“No.” You almost laughed, you weren’t even courting anyone.

“Good.” Loki smiled.

“Why is that good?” You questioned defensively.

“I’ve got a proposition for you y/n, let’s discuss this over wine.”

“You’ve got wine?”

“I assumed you did.” He replied, brows knitting.

“I’ve got wine, my wine, you can have water.” You disagreed with him, no longer sure whether this was real or fiction conjured up by your besotted mind. He looked real enough, smelt regal enough.

“And why can’t I have any wine?” He asked incredulously.

“It’s my wine, I don’t see you bringing me any wine. It’s expensive you know, I can’t just waste my wine.” You tried to explain to him.

“Y/n, I am a prince.” Loki reasoned.

“Exactly, you should have bought wine.”

“Well I’ll make sure I remember it for the next time I bump into a stranger in the street.” He puffed, taking a seat as well as the glass of water you were offering him before he began to divulge his proposal.

You listened intensely to his plan, the realisation that he wasn’t a mirage making you a little giddy as you downed your drink, nodding along to words.

“I’ve got one question.” You spoke once he was finished.

“Anything.” He nodded.

“Are you insane?” You asked causing him to sigh. “I mean how would we even do it? We don’t even know eachother.”

“I can easily remedy that.” He assured.

“And pray tell prince, what’s your smart idea?”

“I can create a link between us, it’ll give me access to—” he began, placing his fingers against your temples as you moved your head away “you’ve got to trust me.”

“Well I don’t.” You affirmed.

“What reason other than what I just said would I want to do this with you?” He sneered.

“Fine.” You answered, rolling your eyes before he continued.

“As I was saying, I could create a psychic link between us which would enable us to send thoughts to one another.” He elaborated.

“And why would we need to do that?”

“Because when my mother asks, which she will, things about yourself, my future wife, it’d be good if I could actually answer. Vice versa” he clarified “you’ve got to know a little about me.”

“I know two things” you grinned “arrogant, prince.”

“Behave” he cautioned “so y/n, for the promise of a fortune, would you play the part of my doting betrothed?” He asked, looking into your eyes.

“Yes.” You replied with a small nod, unsure of what you were actually getting yourself into.

There's so many royals in this final book. The Valors, Prince Apollo, Princess Evangeline, and perhaps even the Prince of Hearts. It could also mean a coronation! The first four chapters seem to hint at a coronation.

The most important element there! Sparks are flying or something is burning. Since the Phoenix Tree is confirmed on the map, it could be related to that, too.

Someone is getting punched! Fights will be constant as Jacks and Apollo will go head to head with each other. I imagine that the first thing Jacks will do when he sees Apollo after seeing Evangeline is punch him square in the face! Maybe this is where Jacks will tell him straight up that he's not going anywhere and he'll make sure that Evangeline remembers everything. But this might be my wishful thinking lol.

An anatomical heart! Unlike the other hearts Stephanie has used (i.e, 💔💘), this one resembles an actual heart. The only thing that comes to mind is Jacks's beating heart! Not just that but him becoming a human again. I don't see him as a Fate at the end of this. Love is the answer to break the curse!

Falling in love, intense, passionate love, heart burning in literal fire. It reminds me of Howl's Moving Castle where Howl's heart was inside fire. Only once it was returned to him with Sophie's help, that Howl's curse was lifted. Some part of me views this emoji negativity, as if this love is under influence, but it could mean the opposite.

overall thoughts on tdp??? Now that you’re done watching, which season/story-line/character (besides our iconic queen General and Aunt Amaya 👑) was your fave? Any moments throughout that you really felt or really spoke to you?

The dynamic of characters in this show is so interesting. The theme throughout the whole show is something that resonates with me because it's how I live my life. Despite what you hear about a certain group of people you should have an open mind. This is just some of my thoughts and opinions on some of the characters. There might be spoilers so read at your own risk.

I love Seasons 1-3 and if it wasn’t for the wedding preparations and scenes with Amaya. I wouldn’t have watched season 4. I felt like the whole season was complete filler. The series could’ve ended at the 3rd season and be solid. Season 4 didn’t really get my attention compared to the previous seasons. I hope the story picks up in season 5. I just need more Amaya 😭 lol

Callum starting as a kid who doesn't know where he belongs because he isn't a fighter or have anything useful to help the kingdom. He is the stepson of the king. Turns out he is a mage and he instantly knows that he wants to be a good light mage and nothing like what his former crush, Claudia is. Speaks on his character and reminds me a lot of his mom.

Ezran, such a baby doll, is quirky and awkward. Has a difficulty talking to people and has a special connection with animals. He has a kind heart and sees the good in people. He doesn't allow outside comments deter his judgement on a person. He reminds me so much of Antonio from Encanto. He is a fave for sure. He is a type of King that I would love to see in the real world.One that rules with kind and compassion instead with a drive for power or holier than thou.

Rayla being a moonshadow assassin. While Rayla claims to despise humans, on the inside she doesn't truly hate them. She doesn't see them as lesser beings than herself, unlike the rest of the elves. It causes this inner turmoil on her belief as a moon shadow assassin verses her morals. She constantly checking her morals and doing better. Willing to put her life on the line to do the right thing.

Claudia, her development was scary, I know there's some good but she continues down this dark path, that its sad. I was so hoping that she would run away with Soren. I really hope there is some way she can redeem herself in the upcoming season but I feel like she's so far down the rabbit hole that it's too deep a hole for her to come out of. The reason why I say Claudia's development is scary s because she knows she is becoming darker. Each season she is at a point where she pushes that morality further. She crosses that limit and instead of realizing ok that's enough. She knows it's bad and accepts it with no regret. Only to surpass it again the next time. There is nothing that will stop her to get what she wants.

Soren, at first I didn't care about him because he was this jerk who constantly picked on Callum, but Soren definitely grew. The first season I feel like the creators wanted us to see Soren as this idiot jock that heavily relies on his physical strength. It also didn't help that Viren and Claudia also treated him as such. As the series goes on he is so much more than that. His development throughout the series is one of the best, imo. He has this emotional intelligence that came to a surprise. He does have silly moments where he acts first but then he realizes his mistakes and changes. When Soren realized how he was manipulated by his dad. He went against his dad. This is so hard to do. He loves his dad and his sister so for him to renounce his loyalty from his family and follow the crown. Then on top of that having to go to war and the person you're fighting is your own father and sister. That hits the heart in more ways than one. His redemption arc is honestly chef's kiss. Soren is a good boi.

Amaya, my my my Amaya. She is wife. Once she appeared on the screen I had heart eyes immediately. Like I was already shopping for rings! I think I have a thing for strong stoic types who are really big softies. She's both an immovable object and an unstoppable force in battle. Amaya is thoughtful, honorable, compassionate and smart. Brutal, driven and capable. Pragmatic and adaptable. Her character design and fight choreography is stylish af. I could watch her fight it's like watching a dance. Her shield is honestly really cool and interesting design. Even though she's a tough person that flips switches so fast once she's with her nephews. She turns into this big softy that is so adorable and honestly is why I fell hard for her. She has a heart of gold and isn't afraid to jump into the line of fire to protect the people she loves. Her nephews, Gren, Janai, her soldiers, her kingdom. I could go on about Amaya.

Bait, Bait is the best. I can't get over him. He has a range of emotions and is the bestest boi. He deserves all the tarts.

Bonus:

I can't get over the fact that Amaya threw Bait in a perfect spiral throw. Bait is beauty. Bait is grace.

MY MOST TOXIC TRAIT

Is thinking Jungkook would have killed Vibes 😔

Vocally at least. That pop groovy style is so Jungkook. So it surprised me when I read reviews from other blogs and they are all seemed to suggest that Taeyang stepped outside his comfort zone for this. One of these days I will sue auto correct.

The song in its entirety is reminiscent of BTS's recent pop songs and style. I swear I could hear and feel BTS in the song. Or perhaps it's because I'm used to listening to JMs voice intertwined with V's Jin's and Jungkook's. But I also wondered if whoever wrote the song had BTS in mind. Won't be surprised.

It reminds me of My Universe. The drums, the beat the pauses- especially towards the end of the song.

But this Taeyang person brought something to the table. He sounds very seasoned and confident and I love his swag. It's everything the song needed to be transformed.

Looking at him, I think of Suga and Namjoon and even Hobi. Not sure if it's because he's mature and a hyung but I think he shares a similar style of delivery when it comes to his swag.

I always say this, in my head of course, most of what excites me about the hyung line is their attitude, their delivery and then the whole package.

Jungkook has swag but he has a lot of humility too. Not sure if performance wise he would have been able to pull off that swag and attitude and bravado this song needs.

Jimin himself seemed a little reserved in the performance. Except for the opening. And a few sprinkled moments here and there.

I've seen Jimin go crazy on a track during performances on stage. I've seen wild hip thrusts, and sexiness and Diva vibes and energy and seduction and oomph.

It's frustrating when he tries to be gentle won't lie

And it's crazy how he complains of muscle aches but will keep going and pushing himself. He's so disciplined and such a professional.

Vibe is a Vibe.

I wish Jungkook leaned a lot more into himself.

I want to see sexy, and swag and attitude.

I remember he said he struggled with filming his part in Dynamite. Seems he struggles getting it up sometimes.

People like to set themselves up for disappointment by having expectations and when those expectations aren't met they get disappointed.

I'm doing the opposite of that. I don't have any expectations whatsoever. I want to go in with a clean slate and consume whatever he has made objectively. He might try something new, something old, introduce us to new things, remind us of old things, reminisce, give us butterflies in the stomach and make us feel nostalgic.

Some of his songs will make us dance, some will make us cry, some will be on replay on the drive or it won't. Regardless I will be so happy and excited for him because this is his first project.

It's not a make it or break it situation. He will have so many years ahead of him to make new songs different songs and so many opportunities redeem himself or make hit songs.

I don't want him to feel a sense of pressure thinking he has to get it right. He is simply making a foray into new territory. No body will judge him based on his first album. It's his second that matters. And even that the third will matter more and the forth and the fith.

You can't live in your past glory and whatever you do today is already gone.

If you mess up today tomorrow is an opportunity to redeem yourself. You just have to try and keep going.

So no, I don't have any expectations. Whatever he has done is already great and I know in my hearts of hearts I will enjoy it regardless.

The sounds of birds chirping filled your ears as you took a breath, taking in the scenery around you. It wasn't often you got moments out of the manor these horrid murder games were hosted but every now and then the "baron" of the manor let the survivors out of a bit for a change of scenery. Anyone who tried to use this opportunity to escape never came back, so the most you could to was enjoy the small things you were given. After all, you willfully came into this game.

Walking around the area you soon came across a large open field of flowers, multiple beautiful colors of varying flowers making a beautiful display both from afar and up close. You smiled as you walked into the field sitting down in the middle of it examining some of the flowers closer until you saw a familiar figure dressed in black in the distance. The metal hook attaching the hourglass to his belt making noises as he shifted around examining each flowers, paying specific attention to the bed of irises growing. This man was Andrew Kriess, your close friend after awhile of being in this accursed manor. You stood up and walked towards him, saying hello from a distance as to not scare him. While he slightly flinched at the new presence as soon as he knew it was you he mostly calmed down. "Ah- Hello Y/n..." Andrew said as he slightly smiled about you before shifting his attention back to the flowers. "Whatcha doing?" You asked, sitting down next to him. "Just checking out the flower field, this place always calms me.. Whenever i have the chance i always go here. I like taking care of the flowers sometimes, especially the irises." Andrew said as he continued examining the flowers, making sure they had enough water and were thriving in the environment they were in. You chuckled slightly, "I understand, just being in environments like these are relaxing. Especially to be away from that manor and away from a ton of people." Andrew nodded in agreement and you two continued relaxing in the flower field as time passed. The gravekeeper making his rounds around the flower field to check on each flower bed, humming as he did so. Eventually he returned to where you were relaxing and just soaking in the scenery, slowly reaching his hand out to tap you on the shoulder, attempting to grab your attention. You turned your gaze over to him and your vision was soon filled with the view of purple irises. Andrew slightly looked away as he held the purple colored flower crown out to you, "I made this for you, the flowers reminded me of you so..." You couldn't help but smile at Andrews gesture of kindness and took the flower crown from his hand, it seemed slightly flimsy so you grabbed it with extra caution and slowly put it on your head. Andrew who was expecting you not to accept the flower crown seemed somewhat shocked seeing it on your head, causing you to giggle. "Thank you for the flower crown Andrew, it looks very pretty. When did you learn to make them." A small blush overcome the grave keepers face as he sat down next to you. "My mother taught me how to make them when i was young, it's been a long time since i've made them though.. so it's a bit flimsy because of that." You quickly responded to the man, "It's alright, i still love it. Perfectly put together or not." This caused Andrew to lightly smile at you as he took a deep breath. Though for a very long time he'd have to deal with the horrors of the manor maybe things weren't so bad with you by his side. He thought as more blush came to his face, until you two were called back to the manor you two stayed like that for hours. Soaking up the peaceful atmosphere at one anothers side.

hello moot!

random twst yuusona lore rant here but my twst oc : morrow was originally not a twst oc, but when i got into twst i thought that twst's theme of morally grey characters (or the 'villains aren't all bad' theme) would fit morrow + my other oc's.

after a while i kinda just decided to put all my oc's in twst, but they go to different schools. eg : morrow goes to NRC, while oc 2 is at RSA, and oc 3 is at Noble Bell College.

and when they finally meet it goes something like this :

And omg that’s such a fun concept- putting them in different schools makes me wonder about the circumstances of how they would meet up! 👀 I’d love to see your OCs if you have any references or the like, or if have other lore for them you’d like to share ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡ Morrow is a nice name ☘️ TWST is one of those games where OCs really thrives, it feels like! It’s really nice we get to see so many locations in Twisted Wonderland, the sky is really the limit for OCs from wherever you want! ^_^

Hmm, I haven’t made a lot of TWST OCs, and when I do I tend to talk about them once and never again 😭 I do have one though! He’s a student OC, Vega del Castillo, whose twisted from the fairy godmother’s wand and is in Ignihyde dorm. Now that you reminded me of him, I’d like to rethink his lore and slightly redesign him Σ੧(❛□❛✿) He’s a Fae, but was found in Sage’s Island (I wanted a character whose hometown was the island itself 🤣). His original concept was him being a half-Fae, but now that I’m thinking about it more, I want him to contrast Malleus in the sense that Vega being a Fae meant he outlived all of the original human town members who took care of him,,,the death symbolism at NRC is suited for him I feel like 😭

pairing: vil schoenheit x gn! reader word count: 2.4k words warnings: mentions of death, political conflict, and political assassination, threats notes: this is a fic that takes place in the little high fantasy au i made for twisted wonderland (check head canons here). it takes place outside of the main story where mc/reader/yuu is not the heir to wonderland but rather is apart of vil’s royal court. vil is in his mid-twenties while mc/reader/yuu are in your early twenties. you and epel are the same age in this fic. the title is also in reference to a lyric from “it’s raining men” (i personally listen to the version by deathbyromy because of promising young woman). ao3 link: 👑👑👑

The wax seal glinted in the light of his room, the fire of the candles flickering with the gentle breeze coming from whereabouts unknown. He picked up the dagger lodged in his mahogany desk and sliced the envelope open. Pulling out the letter, his violet eyes scanned the contents of it before smiling. “My, my, my. Another success Rook.” He pins the letter next on the board with magic. “Everything is going according to plan…This is perfect! But I’m missing a piece of the puzzle.” He scoffs. “I can think about that another day. For now, a well deserved wine break.”

The Queen had fallen asleep during his carriage ride to the countryside palace. To be fair, it was quite a few hours' journey and he had stayed up all night writing invitations for the Spring Venture, as well as continuing the intricate plan to maintain power. His carriage was rather cushy, which was to be expected, and he had chosen to wear something not as fabulous. It was a rarity to see the Queen in such a comfortable, relaxed state that was a little messy. No makeup, his hair left down, casual comfy clothes. His crown was in its box next to him as he slept. The carriage ran over a rock, causing the carriage to bump up. “Ah, fuck…” He mutters, his eyes opening. He let out a yawn and pulled the curtain back, watching as the palace came into view. The carriage came to a stop and the door opened. His hand picked up the box with his crown and exited.

“Queen Schoenheit.” The servants bowed.

“Yes of course.” Vil stretches his arms above his head and lets out a sigh of relief upon hearing a ton of cracks that release the tension with his bones. He took the crown out from its box and placed it on his head. Hearing footsteps, he smiled upon seeing who it was. “(Y/N) (L/N). It’s been a while.”

“My Queen.” You bowed. “It is a pleasure to see you once again.”

“Thank you for coming early to help me prepare.”

“Of course. My parents were pleased to send me here.” You smiled.

“Do tell me how the Duke and Duchess are doing.” He began walking with you walking besides him.

“My parents are doing alright. My mother has recovered from her illness and my father goes on his daily hunts as per usual.” You adjust your outfit. Unlike the Queen, you were in more formal clothes but it was still casual and loose. “They bid you good wishes and sorrows for not being able to make it to this year’s Spring Venture.”

“Well that is quite alright. Your mother has been confined to her room for quite some time. Let her enjoy her home for now. The plants here might end up causing her an allergy reaction.”

“Ah, my mother. Severe allergies.” You shake your head. “Thank the Great Seven that I did not inherit such allergies.”

“Well, I would argue you inherited some other things.”

“Like what?”

“A lack of common sense.” He smirks.

“My Queen. That is not funny.” You scoff as he laughs.

“I cannot help it. You’ve been riding horses since you were a child and yet you still somehow can’t manage to mount them properly. Not to mention all the times you forgot to look while we were walking around in the streets. And also how you almost stabbed your own eye out because you did not carry scissors properly—”

“Okay, okay. You don’t need to remind me, My Queen.”

“(Y/N), you can call me Vil. You know that.” He scoffs. “Hearing you constantly call me Queen while we’re having private conversations is unnatural.”

“Oh Vil.” You chuckled. “We’ve been doing this since we were kids.”

You were panting as you ran, shoes making splashes in the puddles. Today it was raining and you had nothing but a cloak over your head to protect yourself from the rain. The streets were crowded as people were doing their daily routines of shopping and bargaining. The tight alleyway opened up to the town square with a fountain and statue. Your face brightened seeing what was happening before you.

“Ladies and gentlemen and gentlepeople! Thank you for coming to today’s performance!” His breathing was heavy. “Tips will be greatly appreciated.” He watched as a few people left money in the tin can.

“Vil!” You called over. “I’m sorry I missed it.”

“It’s okay. You’re busy. I get it.” The young Vil adjusted his cloak to cover his hair. “Today I played the Evil Queen. I think I fit the role the best.”

“You’re as beautiful as the Queen. No, even more beautiful!”

“Am I? Maybe one day I will become Queen!”

“Queen Schoenheit. That will be the only true Queen in my book!”

“I guess.” Vil sighs. “Anyways, our plan will be set in motion this Spring Venture. I have figured out the missing piece to this puzzle.”

“You have? What exactly do you have in mind?”

“It’s quite simple actually.” The door was opened for the two of you as you entered. “It’s been under my nose the whole time. But what will happen is purely circumstantial and would require a bit of luck.”

“Luck huh?”

“Yes.” Vil opened a door and let you in, closing it behind him and locking the door. “The doors of this study are sealed with magic. No one would be able to listen since the magic affects our speech. They’ll hear something entirely different.”

“Smart. So, what is it?” You look out the window. The gardens were pretty and in a week or so, the entire garden would be crawling with elites and the nobility. “That missing piece.”

“A spy.”

“A spy? For the LeBlanche Opposition?”

“Exactly. And the one I need,” Vil unlocked his drawer and pulled out a copy of the invitation he had sent. He handed it to you.

“The Lord Cerise? But he hasn’t been here for years!” You exclaimed. “The previous Lord passed away and didn’t attend due to his failing health. And his only heir refuses to come!”

“He’ll come this year. I’ve made certain of it.”

“How?”

“Well, I’ve figured out his logic. Epel believes in doing what’s best for him and his partner. His partner has a painting apprenticeship. Epel wants what’s best for his partner and that includes bringing them here. High profile clients, people with tons of money to spend like water. It’s just like how Rook’s partner conducts business as a dressmaker. Epel would not bother giving up this chance, not after his partner just got the apprenticeship.”

“Sometimes I question you.” You raised an eyebrow. “What does his partner have to do with the plan?”

“It’s simple really.” Vil smiles. But this smile wasn’t warm. “Leverage.”

“And I thought you couldn’t get more evil than me. Poisoning my own mother so I can inherit everything from my brothers.” You scoff but a smile forms on your face. “Using a noble’s loved one as leverage? Clever.”

“It’s required.” Vil looks out the window, his expression darkening. “That is what lies with people like us. People from the gutters. They underestimate us.”

“I’m assuming this must mean you need Rook and his partner?”

“Yes of course. And you as well.”

“Me? What role do I have to play?”

“It’ll be simple. During the first dinner of the first night, while everyone’s gambling, you will be with the dressmaker and invite Epel’s partner to paint you as a sort of sample, like you’re testing their skills as a painter. If everything goes well, you get a portrait and pay. If not, then Epel’s dear partner loses their hands.”

“That is unnecessarily cruel.” You chuckle. “But you were always one for theatrics.”

“I am thorough. Epel would never dare let his partner’s livelihood be threatened. And if he lets it happen…then I underestimated him.”

A yawn left your lips. Preparations have finally ended. Tomorrow, all the nobles would be coming to the palace for the Spring Venture. The notable target was, obviously, Lord Epel Cerise and his partner. Vil needed to complete his plan to remain on the throne. “Great Seven. It’s late.” You look at the clock. However, something catches your ear. There was the sound of music coming from an empty room. Gently, your footsteps followed and opened the door. You watched silently as the Queen moved. He was clearly practicing his ballroom dancing skills, still in a dress. His heels clicked against the marble, hair swaying with the movement of his body. He looked gorgeous and ever so radiant in the moonlight.

“(Y/N)?”

“Ah!” You jumped a bit. “I didn’t think you’d notice me.”

“Well, you’re literally standing in the doorway, watching me practice.” He crosses his arms. “Do you wanna join?”

“I…well—”

“You need to improve your dance skills, you know.”

“Okay fine! What are you even wearing?”

“It’s a prototype of this ballgown I had custom made. I need to get used to wearing it, hence this. Have to adjust the width of my steps and whatnot.”

“I see.” You place your hands at the appropriate places. “I’ll let you lead.”

“Good.” Vil began leading you in the ballroom. The two of you were silent as you guys danced. You yourself were busy focusing on your own steps, trying to match Vil’s pace without much issue. Though he was quite tall which is a bit ironic considering you were the taller one when you guys were children. You weren’t paying too much attention to him or your surroundings.

“(Y/N).”

“Yes?” You look up at him.

“Can you promise me something?”

“Of course Vil. You’re my friend.”

“Dedicate yourself to me.”

“Huh?” Your eyes widened at the sound of that. His facial expression was serious.

“Dedicate yourself to me. Be loyal to me. I want you to be loyal to me and no one else. Promise you won’t betray me like every other noble here.” Vil pulls you closer to his body by your waist. The two of you have stopped dancing by now. “I can’t trust anyone here. No one except you. Only you understand me, understand my pain, and the position I am in. So promise me and dedicate yourself to me.”

“Oh course, Queen Schoenheit. I, (Y/N) (L/N), dedicate myself to you.” You whisper, your face leaning closer to his. “Everything. My body, my mind, my soul.”

“Then it is final.” Vil leans closer. “May I kiss you?”

“Vil…Of course.”

He leans in, his lips pressing onto yours.

“Great Seven, today’s weather is pretty hot.” You fanned yourself with a hand fan, looking around. Rook wasn’t here yet. That was who you were looking for in particular. Your thoughts drifted back to last night and you shook your head. You couldn’t be thinking about that right now. Whatever happened last night was just…pure coincidence from between you and Vil. Your face brightened seeing a familiar carriage pull up. It stopped and from the carriage emerged Rook and the dressmaker. You walked over to them. “Marquess Hunt. Dressmaker. It’s good to see you both arrived safely.”

“Likewise.” The dressmaker nods.

“Now please follow me. The Queen requests to see you both immediately.” You turn around, guiding them to Vil’s study. You opened the door, letting them in, before closing you. You would leave them to their business.

“Rook, you have finally arrived.” Vil was sorting through his papers. “It’s nice to see you. And dressmaker.”

“Roi du Poison. I look forward to this year’s Spring Venture.” Rook put a hand over his chest. “Please tell me you put archery on the itinerary.”

“So you could beat me?” Vil raises an eyebrow. “I mean I did. But I look forward to seeing who wins: you or the dressmaker.”

“Oh I highly doubt I would win. Rook’s always been better at archery than I have.” The dressmaker laughs nervously.

“Seeing you two compete is very entertaining.” Vil chuckles before seeing Rook pull out an envelope. “Oh?”

“A report on the Earl Oiseau.” Rook hands it to him. Vil picks up his dagger and slices the envelope open before pulling out the letter. His violet eyes briefly scanned the content before putting it in a drawer.

“Good. I am satisfied with your service. But speaking of plans,” Vil intertwined his hands on his desk and placed his chin on them, looking at the two people across from him. “I have a new job for you.”

Rook tensed up but the dressmaker was relaxed. “What is it, Roi du Poison?”

“I just need you and the dressmaker to participate in something tonight. I have figured out the last piece of the puzzle for my plan to maintain power and that includes the Lord Cerise and his little partner. I just need the dressmaker to be with (Y/N) and Rook, with me. Is that alright?” He cocks his head to the side.

“Of course, my Queen.” Both of them bow in unison.

“Good, good. Tonight must go well.” Vil leans back in his seat, his head turning to look outside. He could see Epel and his partner. They were busy talking to other nobles it seemed.

“My Queen, are you ready?” You enter the hallway. It was only Vil and some servants, adjusting the fabric of his outfit. A tight form fitting dress that hugged his figure, golden heels, gold jewelry, his crown, and a billowing cloak that would flow behind him. Your own outfit was tight and it was black and gold. The silhouette hugged your figure quite comfortably. At least you could breathe. Other nobles? Not so much. “Everyone is waiting.”

“I am.” Vil turns his head to look in the mirror for a second before looking back at you. He smiles. “You look lovely (Y/N).”

“Oh my Queen. You flatter me.”

“I told you to call me Vil in private.” He scoffs.

“I can’t help it. Tonight is a formal dinner and some people might overhear us.”

“I guess. Can’t have people knowing who’s buddy-buddy with me.” He rolled his eyes.

“Well I will alert people of your entrance.” You exit the hallway, seeing the group of chattering people. You noticed Epel and Rook talking. Clearing your throat, you projected your voice. “Thank you all for attending.” The room went silent with your voice. “The Queen is most pleased by this year’s attendance to the annual Spring Countryside Venture. He welcomes everyone with open arms and generosity. Tonight’s dinner will now commence.”

“Now, the acting monarch, Queen Schoenheit!”

💢 ANGER - what are some habits they have that will take some getting used to?

matvey's facial expressions all look exactly the same on a surface level which makes it very hard to tell what he's feeling from a single glance. and his voice is very monotone so that doesn't help you either. this is partially him doing it on purpose so people won't be able to read him easily but partially he just has a resting bitch face and neutral voice and never understood why he would have to fake facial expressions and intonations in his voice for other people <3

much like vitali he's a chainsmoker too but he doesn't smoke the fake shit vitali is smoking so he excuses himself to the nearest balcony several times a day and it does not matter to him if he or someone else he's with is in the middle of something important he will just leave. one thing about matvey is he loves to leave

🎂 BIRTHDAY CAKE - when is their birthday? do they like celebrating it?

his birthday is october 7th! he doesn't like celebrating it at all because "there's nothing to celebrate about being a year closer to dying". he doesn't like being reminded of his age because he kinda feels like he wasted a lot of his time already and he's never gonna get those years back :/

🙊 SPEAK-NO-EVIL - what is something your oc will refuse to stay quiet about?

matvey LOVES pointing out other people's hypocrisy more than anything in the world and he will be so smug about it. and he will be right and you will be so annoyed with him but there's nothing you can do because once he's lecturing you you'll just be taking constant psychic damage until it's over </3 it gets worse because at the same time he refuses to see his own hypocrisy and won't let anyone lecture him on it (except for vitali at some point and then he'll start listening more. but he's NOT happy about it)

👑 CROWN - what does your oc want to be remembered as? why?

matvey wanted the same thing as nadya for the longest time; power and respect and fame and just being important in general like his parents before him, to prove himself to both them as well as his wife which is why he fought so hard to get his promotion when she asked that of him. but nowadays he doesn't want to be remembered at all anymore. he's snapped out of the insanity spiral that made him try to get revenge on vitali in the first place and is now realizing how stupid all of it was, and he's very glad that his name has never been officially tied to the broker on the big stage of the city so he's still in the clear but just the knowledge alone of having been That guy is killing him to a certain degree. and honestly rightfully so because people died. so honestly he really just wants to disappear into oblivion the second he dies because he doesn't consider himself as someone worth remembering

🖍️ CRAYON - what advice would you give to them?

unserious answer to this is give me ten minutes alone with him in a broom closet with the strap and we wouldn't have the broker fic at all because he'll be divorcing nadya the second they're fired from arasaka

serious answer to this would be. well. honestly the same thing WHJSGHFJDHGJFDJHG i feel like matvey's bisexual awakening would have sped things up significantly to get to that divorce so they can both move on without each other. if i'm not allowed to fuck that old man then i would just email him some divorce papers instead

matvey isn't all that romantic but man. someone genuinely enjoying his company and willingly spending time with him and showing interest in his very classic widely considered boring corpo guy interests?? that will get to him a little bit alright. since nadya and he both worked for arasaka they kinda ended up living parallel to each other which meant that nadya just barely gave him attention. viktor on the other hand enjoys matvey's company and will regularly offer him a beer when he's over at the shop to get him to stay longer which is something matvey is not used to at all!!!! and he's not complaining!!!!! i wonder what it all means!!!!!!!!!

🎉 as a general unit emoji! just confetti which reminds me quite a lot of their logo! Could also be the 🎊 but i think the first one is cuter.

🍩 Donuts' are rinkus favorite food! my second option for her would be 🐚 considering how she always gives others them to symbolize friendship, but i think donuts' fit her character aesthetic more!

🏀 honestly mahos took me some time to think about smth, but yeah! while maho is canonically a great cooker, she's also canonically a basketball player and very good at it, with her untrained initial 3* showing her playing and the recent origin sp too!

🎀 Muni... I think the fandom is pretty settled on emojis for muni actually, which are the bow and the 🐰, but tbh... i just think the bow fits her better? Not only do her outfits constantly have many ribbons (back of the uniform, on her pigtails, collar...) But also, while bunnies are indeed the focus of her tiara, we see her using other animals such as cats (untrained initial 3*) or bears (untrained d4fes1 3*)! Because of nyochio, i also think 🐈 could work, but nothing that beats the ribbon

🎹 for rei! It is her instrument after all, and D4 doesn't has many instrument players, sooo... My other option for rei would be cup noodles since she is lowkey obsessed with them and theyre implied to be her favorite food, but we don't have a emoji for that, so the closest thing would be the 🍜 emoji!

👑 as the unit emoji! even on their logo the crown is prominent, so it's also a pretty easy one to guess!

🍔 for kyoko!!! it is her favorite food and it appears on two of her cards, not counting other appearances such as in the petit mix episodes! my other takes would be ⚾ as it is her favorite sport or the 🧢 since. Yeah

🎧 for shinobu! While yeah it's a dj franchise and this one seems too on the face... shinobu is one of the characters with the strongest connections to dj-ing besides aoi and has been doing this since her childhood, not to mention how she usually has headphones on her neck! My other assignments would be a bubblegum emoji but we don't have that, or a 🎮 , but we majorly see shinobu playing either on her computer or in arcades, so i decided to just go with the headphones!

💚 for esora, which may be indeed a cheesy one but cmon! heart for the lovely character of the franchise and green since it is her color! other ones would be 🐸 to represent esoran in the anime and 🐖 to represent her pet pig, tiara!

📸 while i know many people associate yuka to training directly, for me my first connection is always to pictures. She has over 5 cards where she's holding cameras and it is her hobby! While yes, she is on the training trio of d4dj, i think the camera says more about her character than any other emoji

🌐 for unit emoji! It fits their aesthetic very VERY well and also symbolizes the world, so!

☄️ for saki! sakis hobby is stargazing and she loves the galaxy, so it just seemed fitting to give her something related to that, and i settled on the comet! 🐈 Is also viable considering she adores cats and has one named schrodinger, but i just feel the comet suits her better

⛩️ for ibuki... im not even going to lie that initially hers gave me a bit of a headache to decide, but! Ibukis family owns a temple and she has 2 cards where she's dressed as a shrine maiden, so it seemed to work for me! As part of the training trio though, something sports/fit related could fit her v well

🧸 for noa!!! While i know initially many may directly think of a 🎀 for her, she has many cards where plushies appear and are related to her, so i settled on the teddy bear emoji, as it is also cute and something she constantly appears with!

🪩 towa! I wanted to give her an idol lightstick initially to symbolize her love for idols, but alas we don't have that, so i thought a disco ball could still work p well and fit the aesthetic!! My other choices would be a crepe emoji, but we don't have that, or the 🎤 to also symbolize her love for idols!

🍹 for rika! i wasn't quite sure on one for her, but i think the cocktail suits her pretty well? she has been shown drinking in various cards and is the party girl, so! this one also specifically suits her REALLY well with the tropical vibes and colors so!!!

🧋marika! While still not appearing in any card, it is stated to be her favorite drink and also said that she went across various shops in japan to taste them, so it seems fitting! A nail polish emoji would also suit her very well considering how she cares about her beauty a lot and is shown doing others nails in a card, but we don't have that with the closest being the 💅 emoji

📣 MERMAAAID. saoris megaphone is iconic not only on the merm4id live concerts but is also shown in the game through the saori birthday1 card! The other one i can think of for her is the 📼 since, as shown in the m4 christmas story, saori loves old media and specially tapes

🌺 another one that gave me some trouble. I think hibiscus' suit dalia VERY well and this might be one of the reasons why i have it to her, so oh well. My other emojis that probably make a bit more sense would be 🥃 since she is a bartender and this one seems to suit her p well and 🥋 since her focus on fighting is specifically karate. there isn't something close to a aromatherapy emoji so ehhh

🦋 for tsubaki! We don't have a camellia emoji and while i COULD give her the 🌹 emoji arguably, i think butterflies suit her a lot more and also appear in a fair share of her cards!

🎸 instrument. even though this one may be a bit obvious for nagisa and i think it'd be the one most people would use, i personally prefer using the ⚡ for nagisa as it shows her energetic and electric personality and also suits her hair lmao

🪡 Hiiro! Hiiro sews her own cosplays and even to others, so both the needle and the 🧵 seem fitting for her! The 🔮 also might be a good one because of her mystical side such as tarot reading etc!

🪷 aoi... i know this one might seem as bit of a stretch at first and i could have given her headphones, but lotus' are aois signature flower (birthday 1) and also black lotus is a rondo song, so there is a fair share of reasoning for lotus aoi. A jam emoji could also fit but it doesn't exist

🕊️ we don't have a white feather emoji, so the dove it is! I still think it suits pretty well considering their catholic background etc and it being a white dove which also brings in the feathers

🍵 haruna! she is canonically a member of a tea club and enjoys offering others tea, so it seemed fitting. also matches her classic and proper personality

🍰 kurumi was a hard one too. I could give her a 🐛 or another bug emoji to show her like for pranks using fake bugs but there are too many options... There also isn't a japanese hard candy emoji so ehhh. however the cake above was pretty much identical to the slice of cake emoji and i think their vibes match kurumi

👻 miiko!!! The resident paranormal and horror lover deserves something to show that <3 also the ghost emoji is silly and im very sure miiko would love using it. other options that could fit is the 🎢 since miiko enjoys rollercoasters and they appear in one of her cards and 🐎 since miiko owns a horse and enjoys riding them

BONUS TIME!!! ill admit these are more rushed and with less thought put behind them since we still don't know much about the characters

a little fun fact or theory of mine is that part of pinkie's verse is sung by Amanda Renberg (pinkie's swedish voice actor who normaly does all of the speaking and singing with few exceptions) and Annelie Heed (does many voices on the show and sings as pinkie pie a few times) at the same time, and now whether that's true or not it sounds absolutely beautiful 😌💗🎈🧡🍎

👑 CROWN - what does your oc want to be remembered as? why?

Aisling: If you asked her this you'll probably cause her anxiety and she'll start rambling in a panic. She doesn't really like attention, she cope with it well because she was raised to hold a position of relative power ever since she was a child. But as soon as she'll get a real chance to choose what to do with her life, she'll leave everything behind and won't really miss being centre-stage. She can still do good by keeping up a clinic and helping people: Templars first, then people around her started bringing her mage children to train or come to her for ailments, she accepts food as payment if you don't have anything, or will bring you in even if you don't have a penny to her name. She keeps researching with Dorian and gives him her two cents, she is officially a Red Jenny which is a great way of keeping in action in a way that's more congenial to her true self. She doesn't really need the recognition and most of all she's an Inquisitor constantly plagued by the idea of the consequences she has over the world. Most of all, she would like to be remembered as competent person who tried her best and was kind and accepting towards anyone, and did some good. Hopefully, it'll be enough to forgive her failings, she'd like to have History look kindly to her.

Raina: As a person who followed her own principles and fought for what's right, who was never swayed or corrupted. If she is to be remembered -which is not something she's too keen on, as any good trash raccoon she'd love to be forgotten- let people remember her as a person who didn't stay silent in front of injustice but fought to leave the world a better place than she found. She firmly believes that all the world really needs is people stepping up and not turning away when they see wrong.

Alyra: She's more than happy of staying in the shadow behind the throne, thank you very much. If she can't be Queen (not because she never proposed for the position, oops) that's ok, she'll be the dagger in the dark. She'd want to be remembered as a firm person who earned her place and never gave anything for granted, and worked hard to get her people's condition better. Her people meaning elves (Dalish AND not) and all men in Ferelden who weren't born in a palace. She comes from the woods and she doesn't need prissy nobles sneering at her to remember that she's not an aristocrat, she just plays the part way better than everyone around her (like a good Bard, Leliana taught her well). She'd love to be remembered as a person that was everything that people in power should be. Doing what's needed to the greater good, even if it means dirtying one's hand, loyal to her own, firm but never cruel.

💚 GREEN HEART - what things make your oc feel comforted? hugs, kisses, food?

Aisling: Hugs. She's a hugger, her main love language is physical touch and she cares for actions, not for words. When she's sad or discomforted or angry, a hug is the best way to cheer her up and make her feel loved and wanted. The tighter the hug, the better, if she has confidence enough and you'll let her, she'll act like a koala on an eucalyptus tree, even platonically.

Raina: An ear to listen to her and words reminding her it's all right, she's not a horrible person, a sound reminder that it's ok to cry. She took her role of eldest, responsible sister in the house very seriously when Malcolm died, to a fault. She feels the most comforted when people care for her without expecting anything in return and just let her be pathetic and little and unladylike and weak.

Alyra: Hugs but from very selected people she wants to touch her. E.g.: Alistair or Morrigan hugging her? Comforting, ok, thank you that's appreciated. Wynne doing the same? What the fuck are you doing unhand me AT ONCE I don't need your pity. Another way is bringing her food. She's the least picky eater of the three (Raina will eat out of a trashcan if needed, but she has tastes and if she can choose she will express them), so people bringing her food that she likes best, and noticing that indeed there is food that she likes better than other... It will be appreciated and make her feel comforted.
