Jeremy Pope as Jean-Michel Basquiat in Anthony McCarten’s The Collaboration
New York, 1984. Fifty-six-year-old Andy Warhol’s star is falling. Jean-Michel Basquiat is the new wonder-kid taking the art world by storm. When Basquiat agrees to collaborate with Warhol on a new exhibition, it soon becomes the talk of the city.
As everyone awaits the ‘greatest exhibition in the history of modern art', the two artists embark on a shared journey, both artistic and deeply personal, that re-draws both their worlds.
Paul Bettany plays Warhol and Jeremy Pope plays Basquiat in Anthony McCarten’s thrilling drama, directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah.
I feel really pleased and lucky to have seen so many great shows this year. Looking forward to seeing even more in the new year (including what will be my first visit to New York and seeing some shows on Broadway!)
I feel like mnet can take a note or two from shows like CYZJ on how to make an artists survival show. Yeah CYZJ wasn't the best but it was probably the only survival type show that I had little to no stress watching. PLUS all the interactions make my little heart happy
You can clearly see the chemistry and dynamics between each contestant and the character development from that awkwardness to them joking around each other.
Like remember how carats were SO hyped seeing Jun and Minghao meeting Samuel again? Man, good times
I mentally can no longer handle intense amounts of tension which is why I refuse to watch GSI,, but at the same time I wanna see fun interactions between the bands
So yeah, gimme more fun interactions and less about battling against each other
i dont like the idea that kids these days are doing their fandom rps with ai chatbots. that's how you're supposed to make lifelong friends as a weird really online teen.
