ok i KNOW this is an insane topic to make a tierlist about but i was thinking about milsiril again so. dungeon meshi characters ranked by how pro-euthanasia i think they are
clarifications:
"pro-murder" here doesnt necessarily mean "likes killing". this chart is about how each character views the ethical ramifications of taking a human life, and some of the people in "pro-murder" are there because they would kill someone outside of a combat situation if they thought it would have a greater benefit, such as saving the lives of many others. the rest of them (like thistle, cithis, and the orcs) are there because they are ready to kill whenever to get whatever they want, which is a very different ethical stance but still fits in the same category for the purpose of the chart.
"pro-euthanasia" means having no qualms over killing something/someone if there is an absolute certainty that the individual will never be able to regain a livable quality of life. this is the only category outside of, uh, murder, that doesn't necessarily require consent for the euthanasia to be carried out.
"it's an option" characters would perform euthanasia if asked, or would otherwise condone consensual euthanasia.
"only in the most extreme" characters would only consider the option as an absolute last resort, once every other possibility had been exhausted. these characters would keep someone alive against their wishes to try to save them.
"absolutely against it" characters would never under any circumstances kill someone they didn't want dead. they would sooner let them bleed out or otherwise suffer against their wishes than perform requested euthanasia, and would protest the performance of consensual euthanasia by others.

in light of the news that riot games is letting go 11% of their workers (over 500 people), including long time workers responsible for big parts of the best lore in the entire league ip, AND cutting down LoR AND abandoning Riot Forge (the best idea they had in years lol)-
i stopped playing league a long time ago for multiple reasons, but one of the big ones were my annoyance with the increasingly shit ass monetization (thats only getting WORSE and MORE exploitative) and my frustration with its constant boring ass design decisions (like every new champ being either sexy girly girl that looks like all of the rest of them or sexy guy thats also starting to have the same problem plus all skins putting female champs in just another dress no matter how monsterfied the male champs were-) with my only interest in it being the lore and the attachment i felt to certain characters
im not even really interested in arcane anymore .. i was looking forward to it bc i like fortiches work alot but given how riot immedaitely wanted to make it canon (a dumb and stupid idea) after the first season was successful, which already made it less enjoyable for me, this is just ... idk, what does it matter
these news together with how bafflingly badly written totk was and its subpar quality (especialyl for that PRICE) that made me fear the future of loz yet it was still wildly sucessful (we deserve better than this!!), the recent commercial success of the plagiarism pokemon slavery/trafficking game and the general situation of the games industry, with AI rampant and CEOs sucking it up to shareholders only, constant massive lay offs everywhere in every studio
i have little hope left there will be new, good, games from big studios .. what an exhausting shitty world we live in

I'm always a little bit suspicious of Dudes(tm) who really love stuff like Starship Troopers and 40k. Like do they get it or not

I have a big google doc thing where I keep track of media and stuff (putting everything in loosely ranked categories), which is mostly just for my own reference so I know what tv shows I've already seen before, etc. and I never really look back through it, typically just a quick "okay, watched two movie in the past 8 months, need to quickly slap them somewhere in the lists. okay. done. save document. exit". But today I was actually reading through some of the old notes and there are like... MULTIPLE places where my comment is basically "It would have been good if it were about elves" or "I wish there was a fantasy show made in this same style" or "It's well made, but I just keep thinking about how I would like it more if everyone was an elf or was in old 1700s costumes" or etc like...... lol.... Most biased media ranking system on earth blatantly made by someone with an extremely hyperspecific range of narrow interests. It'd be like if a food reviewer only had 5 foods they actually liked, so they'd just go to a pizza place and be like "eh, the pizza was okay, but I just think it would be better if it was cereal instead. :/ ...2 out of 10"

ok well. i don't really appreciate how half these anons saw my tags and instead of just asking me to explain them decided to tell me that i cant read/see colors.. anyway here's the explanation
while im not familiar with the artist or the zeitgeist of this painting, anybody who's worked with stained glass or tinted acrylic would be able to tell you the color arrangement here isn't random - this is a painting representing light shining through 4 rectangular translucent tinted sheets, overlaid so that their colors subtractively mix.
you can see that the left- and right-most sheets are cyan and magenta, from which you can tell that the center-right sheet is yellow based on the resulting mixed colors.
but each vertical line indicates the beginning or end of a new sheet, so taking those 3 colors into account - there's a 4th sheet on the center-left whose color is less immediately obvious.
at first i thought it could be additive white light, given that it seems to be lightening the blue and not changing the yellow whatsoever - but that doesn't make sense given the premise, you can't add light using tinted sheets, you can only take it away (←simplified).
that's why my final conclusion was that - for it to modify cyan into a slightly yellower turquoise, not intrude in the yellow and cyan mixing into green, and not modify the stronger yellow whatsoever? it has to be a lighter, less intense shade of yellow.

Kinda scary how asmo switches it up if you upset him or do something he doesnt like
just the general idea of having to deal with a very well liked and popular person latching on to you but ur aware that theyre mean and passive aggressive when u dont go along with their shit
and u dont wanna go along with whatever they say but this person keeps latching on harder every time u you try to go against them

I don't mind being treated like a weirdo when I'm being weird but is there anything worse than spending your whole life constantly running into moments where you thought you were being perfectly normal, you thought you were acting like everyone else, maybe you even were objectively acting just like everyone else, but whatever you said or did makes everyone stop and stare at you exactly like this
