1. Do you have a certain place at home for reading? Do you read outside?

Usually my bed cause it’s the most comfortable and I spend 99% of my time in my room. But I do enjoy reading outside when its warm, in parks, on buses, wherever really. 

2. Bookmark or random piece of paper?

I’m usually a dog-ear person cause its the most convenient, but I also do random scraps of paper or kleenix sometimes lmao, whatever is handy. 

3. Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/ a certain amount of pages?

I can stop reading if I really need to, but I prefer to leave it in a logical place like the end of a chapter.

4. Do you eat or drink while reading?

Not usually I guess. Water yes, but not food unless I’m really into a book and don’t want to stop. 

5. Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?

Neither. 6. One book at a time or several at once?

I’m a one book at a time girl, but if I don’t finish a book in one go sometimes I’ll start others and fuck myself over because when I have many books on the go it means that some I won’t finish for a long time/maybe ever.

7. Reading out lout or silently in your head?

Silently in my head. 8. E-book or paper book?

Paper book keeps my attention better. Plus I love the act of flipping pages/holding a book rather than holding a device and tapping/swiping the screen.

9. Do you smell your books?

No, but I do like the smell of book stores.

10.  Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?

I don’t concern myself with that. If it breaks it breaks, if it doesn’t then ok.

11. Do you write in your books?

No, unless I have a really good reason and then only if it’s a book I own. 12. A genre you’re especially sensitive to?

Hmmm, not sure what this question means really. I guess YA cause I read that the most. I love fantasy/adventure/post apocalypse type stories where people go on journeys/fight to survive/etc. I read a book once where it was like YA and fantasy about this vampire girl and it made me absolutely bawl because she was running away from other vamps and like her best friend got murdered and she sacrificed herself and it was all very sad. 

13. A genre you’re really not interested in?

Hmm traditional fantasy novels not because I wouldn’t like them, but because they usually are like suuuuuper long series of books and I’m not about that at all. Also really verbose books like some of the older classic novels, if they don’t have an interesting plot that type of writing doesn’t interest me.

14. Do you read ahead or even skip pages?

Nope. Sometimes I’ll skim read really quickly if I’m really eager to see what happens next though.

15. Is the cover important to you? Do you have a type of cover that cockblocks you?

Cover is super important to me. I have decided to buy or not buy books based purely off it. I do have types that cockblock me, but I don’t think I can put into words what it is specifically, I just know when I see it if it interests me or not. I also have the opposite where I have specific preferences that can draw me to a book (I remember picking up this one book repeatedly every time I went to visit Chapters just cause I loved the cover, but every time I read the back I was like fuck no that doesn’t sound interesting at all and put it down). 

16. Bookstore or library ? 

I use bookstores mainly, but if I was smart I would use the library more instead. 

17. How many books in your To Read Pile?  Literally bookshelves full.

18. Do you have a goodreads account? No.

19. If it’s not your favorite genre, do you care about reading “the classics”?

No. Read some for school, picked up a couple others on my own because they looked interesting, but I don’t force myself to read anything I don’t really want to.

20. What are you currently reading?

Basically some self help books at the moment and that’s it. I want to read some more fiction this summer after I graduate.

What's It Feel Like to Be a Ghost? by Taking Back Sunday.

How obvious is this? But the song reminds me of Danny Fenton. Aside from the literal meaning of the song's lyrics ("so what's it feel like to be a ghost?" or 'Are you up for this?' as in are you up for your next battle/being a ghost/being the good guy, Danny.) but the opening lines of "And then you said a little more about your dreams like that was my call."

It just sort of...resonates with me about how much people look to Danny as either himself (pressure from friends, parents, teachers) to the people of Amity that look to Danny Phantom as either a trouble maker or a hero. (And, ngl, I'm looking at you Sam.)

Like, how much is he expected to take on here? He's just a kid, he's got a lot to handle.
