Flywhisker from The Broken Code. Flywhisker is a former ThunderClan cat turned Kittypet after she went on a journey with Greystripe to find what it mean to be a clan cat. She’s the daughter of Lionblaze and Cinderheart and sister to Hollytuft, Sorrelstripe, Spotfur, Fernsong and Snaptooth. She’s born in River of Fire next to Ivypool’s litter of kits and apprenticed in The Raging Storm. She’s apprenticed to Twigbranch although they have trouble bonding and Flypaw has trouble focusing. In Darkness Within, now a warrior she joins Flipclaw’s suggestion of going on a journey joined by Snaptooth and Thornclaw. After, Greystripe also agrees to go with them. In The Place Of No Stars, Flipclaw returns to the clan to give the news that Snaptooth and Flywhisker have become Kittypets. Flywhisker’s story makes me sad in the way that her whole life she watched a clan that was unstable and had a mentor that constantly put her down, of course you’d want to leave after that. Hope she’s happy! (Info gained from the wiki/books)

Anyways Flywhisker!!! Queen! I really liked AVOS but hated the back end of it and reading about her apprenticeship didn’t help. I dunno why Twigbranch of all cats was really cruel to her when she should know how it feels to struggle especially after getting Sparkpelt who didn’t like her? She had ADHD definitely, as a person with it I can just FEEL IT

Anyways, really happy with her design. She’s got that Lionblaze body and Cinderheart colours! She’s a happy girl now, I like that her siblings when with her too, I can imagine them happy together!

I hardly do warriors fanart, especially scenes, so when this part in the book came up, I really wanted to draw it! Bristlefrost is not my favorite cat, but I was touched by her traumatic reaction to Stemleaf's sudden death, her clanmate, her friend, and her first love. I wasn't very sympathetic toward Bristlefrost until this book when we get to see all this extra pressure set on her shoulders from the Rebels, fake psycho Bramblestar, and even her own clanmates.

As big of a pain it was to figure out this drawing, I did enjoy the challenge. I wanted to do a whole dramatic perspective angle, but it didn't end up exactly the way that I originally imagined due to my lack of experience and the lack of photo references for help. Had to go with what I could do. But I really liked playing with backgrounds and coloring. I'd like to do a Bristlefrost design ref sheet soon ^^

This was my piece for the Warriors ultimate guide Zine hosted by @harriertail !! Done over the summer :)

I did Rootspring(paw) and Tree in a sort of mock cover style for The Silent Thaw. Both the characters and this book are very dear to me, for personal reasons as well, so it was a pleasure to execute this idea for the zine! Glad to have been a part of this project💖
