synopsis: rhaenyra wants your attention, so the two of you play a game.

"y/n?" rhaenyra's voice echoed along the walls. the two of you had met when your sister, alicent, wed the king, rhaenyra's father.

you felt bad for rhaenyra. her closest friend bound to marry her father was criminal, but there was nothing you could do to stop it.

turning your head to the side you were met with rhaenyra's gaze. her long, white hair shining in the sun made her look like an angel.

"what are you thinking about?" she asked, patting her lap. scooting closer to her you felt shy, not because you were mute, but because you had the princess rhaenyra urging you sit on her lap.

seeing as you were hesitating, she pulled you right into her embrace and into her lap.

"you know, it's rude to deny the princess what she wants," her hands wrapped around your frame, your eyes forced to gaze up at her.

you wanted to say sorry, but you couldn't. you just looked down.

"i'm just playing games with you," she laughed seeing your guilty face. the vibrations radiating off of her when she laughed echoed deep in your body.

"can i guess what you are thinking?" she asked. nodding you looked up at her. taking that as a 'yes' she leaned against the weirwood tree. your face now laying on her chest.

"well," she started, "does it have something to do with your sister?" rhaenyra asked, now starting to play with your hair.

she knew alicent and you didn't get along that well. she always outshone you and all because you were mute, but that wasn't why your mind was clouded.

shaking your head 'no' rhaenyra let out a 'hmph' and looked up at the tree. your eyes went to scan her face. she looked lost in the clouds. you rose from her chest and sat up right. rhaenyra snapped out of her trance and looked at you.

"what are you doing?" she asked grabbing your arms, pulling you closer to her.

you rose from her chest once again and before she could pull you back down you were the one now grabbing her arms.

"little dove," her voice was hard. not the soft rhaenyra who had been playing games with you a couple seconds ago. your body couldn't hide your emotions as you shrugged your shoulders 'what?' and your lips curled into a smirk.

scoffing, rhaenyra closed her eyes, "you really are a piece of work sometimes," her tone wasn't malicious. you could hear the humor in her voice. you bit your lip and felt her body tense at the sight.

"y/nnn," she whined. your smiling face only teased her more.

"let's play a game," you rolled your eyes at the statement making rhaenyra laugh.

"okay okay," she leaned into you, foreheads now touching.

"do you want to go up to my room?" her hot breath fanned your face. outstretching your arms you wrapped them around her neck. this was sign that you wanted rhaenyra to carry you.

"only if i carry you?" she asked, already wrapping her arms around your waist. nodding your head 'yes' she stood up and signaled you to wrap your legs around her waist. while doing so she placed a kiss on your forehead.

"my little dove."

One thing that I hate that the show runners did was take away Renly's complexities and make him a straight up good guy that just wants what's best for the people. In the books, hes crazy, but it makes sense!! His family left him!!! And now he's like kind of terrible and no one understands why. From the ages of three to five he's starved and watches other people starve too. His parents are killed in front of him as a baby!! I mean, he obviously doesn't remember their deaths, but it's not really a comforting thought none the less. But throughout all this extreme trauma, he has Stannis. He has his big brother who loves him and takes care of him and is like a father to him. They go through all of this together. Even when it seems hopeless, like they're going to have to resort to cannibalism (presumably Renly, being a little kid, doesn't know this) they still have each other. Then, things start to look up when Davos brings them onions or whatever. They're not going to die, their men aren't going to continue dying. Robert wins the throne. But then he decides that Stannis needs to come to King's landing with him. They just. Leave their little brother alone in Storms End with the maesters. After everything he's been through (and they've been through together) he is abandoned. Then he has to watch Robert start a family of his own, listen to all the praise for Joffrey, the Prince, and none for him. What's worse is Shireens birth. Stannis was his main father figure!! And he abandoned him and now has a kid of his own. Then Stannis wonders why Renly hates him and Robert hates Renly for wanting his approval so badly. I wonder why, Robert!!! He does everything for the attention he never got when he was little and always wanted. He can't even properly see the love that Maester Cressen has for him because he's disillusioned. The show just takes all of that away, and it could've been soooo good and so complex, but it just falls flat
