I'm literally begging people, especially cis women, to not forget about trans people in the US right now.
I get that it's scary. I get that this is a threat to cis women, too. I get that.
But cis women are not going to have to deal with the combination of transphobia and misogyny that comes from this. They are not going to have to deal with being forcibly detransitioned because they can't get an abortion. They are not going to have to deal with the combination of anti-trans laws and the overturning of Roe vs Wade. They are not going to have to deal with being turned away from the help they need because it's a "woman's clinic" and they won't help a man. They are not going to have to deal with the constant misgendering and dysphoria. I'm genuinely worried that the already high suicide attempt rates amongst transmascs are going to go up because of this, and because so many people refuse to look inwards for five fucking minutes and think beyond themselves about how transmasc voices and lives fucking matter here.
Include us. I'm begging you. This isn't just an attack on women. I know to many people it feels like saying that is erasure, or that we should just suck it up because "they view you as women anyways". But including transmascs won't kill you, whereas I feel it very much will kill us.
You want to be intersectional? Start fucking caring about transmascs. Start thinking about us outside of "basically women" or "basically cis men". We don't "just" deal with transphobia, we don't "just" deal with misogyny. We deal with both, we deal with toxic masculinity, and erasure is killing us. Either include us, or you are complicit.

Hey guys, so a m*n just went out of his way to tell me that he didn't support LGBTQ+ people and thought that they were idiots wasting their time because they had nothing to do.
Can all of you guys fill this page up with lesbian/wlw affirming stuff? I feel honestly really disgusted at myself for liking women because of what a gross m*n said

just some m*a*s*h thoughts:
6x20, What's Up Doc?
Margaret thinks she's pregnant in this episode. I've been watching m*a*s*h since I was a kid, so I'm 99.9% sure this is the first piece of media I ever saw where a woman wasn't absolutely THRILLED at the idea of having kids. Margaret doesn't want a baby, she and her partner are having issues, and she knows a baby isn't going to help. She also will be demobbed and sent home, and Margaret has always always prioritized her career. She's a Major! She's Head Nurse!
And I'm just so grateful for her.
For an episode in 1978, for an episode set in the mid 50s, it feels almost progressive.
The word abortion is never mentioned. Margaret turns out to not be pregnant, just late. It's interesting, because it's a few years after Roe V. Wade (rip). In my head, Hawkeye would have helped Margaret with ending her pregnancy, but it was easier for the writers to write it the way they did.
I love you, Margaret Houlihan. Thank you for knowing what you want.

Congratulations France! 💙🤍❤️
In reaction to the United States Supreme Court's ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, Mathilde Panot, French MP and President of the La France insoumise parliamentary group submitted a bill to the French National Assembly.
It aimed to codify the right to a safe abortion for women in the French Constitution. It passed on a 337–32 vote on 24 November 2023, starting the process of enshrining the right to abortion in the French Constitution.
In January 2024, the National Assembly voted in favor of the constitutional amendment 433-30. For the amendment to be officially added to the constitution, it then passed through the Senate in February 267-50.
On 4 March 2024, Parliament amended Article 34 in a 780 to 72 vote. This amendment made France, as of passage, the only nation to guarantee the right to an abortion.
The amendment describes abortion as a "guaranteed freedom".

listened to hozier's new song (which is heavily abt abortion) and like. "the gateway to the world / would never belong to angels / never belonged to men" is a part of the chorus. the gateway presumably being the uterus, and the angels/men line presumably being about how neither religion nor men should control abortion.
which. ghfdjjsdkg. he used the phrase "women and pregnant people" in his instagram story about it which is nice. and the song is genuinely beautiful (unsuprisingly) but i can't help but feel bitter. hearing "... never belonged to men" just hurts to hear. it makes me question if trans men will ever be fully acknowledged as people who get pregnant or if cis people only think of pregnant men when they are making jokes about them. it hurts having to choose between having your gender ignored or having people take it upon themselves to sever part of your own body from you through their language.

“You’ve thought this through,” she observes. She wonders if he’s done this before, but she doesn’t want to know, because she wants to believe that she can trust him, that he wouldn’t compromise her privacy to comfort the next nurse who got in trouble. “I have the mind of a criminal,” he says.

I never thought of this as a concept but Sarah writes it so well. What if a M*A*S*H abortion? This is such a wonderful take on Hawkeye, Margaret and their relationship.

this may be kind of evil but i do think abortion can and should be used when women simply feel having a disabled child is not worth it. like its entirely possible to think of the time and money (not to mention the 9 months of pregnancy + all the care raising a child entails which i think should absolutely be considered significant efforts on the mothers part) youd invest into raising a disabled kid is just not quite worth the possible love from a child or whatever result youd like to get from childbirth. like simply aborting your kid and trying for another baby that isnt disabled is fine. im not even gonna be like "oh in a perfect world people would want to care for disabled kids just as much" bc im ngl, i thnk thats a convenient lie bc no matter how you see it raising a disabled kid presents extra challenges and usually means extra time and money will be spent to do it, at least assuming you can even get those things in the first place. and also, we simply dont live in a perfect world. speculating against reality is worthless and counter productive. i dont think we need to make up excuses for stuff like this bc i think the decision to abort in these cases is often very reasonable (most reasons to abort are, and even if they arent, well, too bad idk abortion should still be available). if you pre-screen and notice your baby will likely be ill, will have a very short life, or will be disabled in a way that will make it harder and more expensive to raise it and you simply do not want that for yourself or your child, abortion is literally just the solution to the problem.
