As an aroace fan, Izzy's arc was particularly unique--both within the show and in general--because it revolved around him finding validation and love within a queer community instead of a romantic relationship.

So to those of you bitching about fans who associated Izzy's death with harmful tropes of queer (and disabled) characters, because "the show has other queer characters/arcs", I'd like to kindly invite you to stop, summon up a shred of compassion, and not treat all characters and arcs under the umbrella of "queer" as interchangeable. I'd also like to remind you that it's shitty to try and shame people for being emotionally invested in a different character from you. End of story. Find some better use for your time.

To everyone else...Does anyone have suggestions for other stories that emphasize queer communities/relationships aside from romance? I need something more positive to fixate on.
