Ahsoka and the 501st Headcannons
- Ahsoka is known for going to the barracks to comfort troopers after a campaign. She will sit with them for hours and listen to them and offer a shoulder to cry on. It’s not uncommon to find a group of shinies huddled around her on the floor
- Speaking of shinies, some of them (esp when Ahsoka was still pretty small) they’d hug onto her like she was a stuffed toy, and she didn’t mind at all. If it made her trooper feel better then she would do so happily
- If a trooper finds something cool on a campaign, like a pretty rock or a flower, they will give it to her and she keeps all the little gifts they give her
- She has lets some of Torrent play around with her sabers, and even taught Fives some of the basic lightsaber stances so they could mock duel
- Ahsoka knows what kind of music each trooper likes and will share songs she finds that she thinks they will like with them. She also was able to barter for a portable speaker that they could keep in the barracks or rec room
- She and Fives started a prank war that eventually involved all of the 501st and the 212th
- Echo helps Ahsoka study because he’s actually enjoys reading ‘boring’ stuff. Jedi temple work is actually a lot more interesting than REG manuals
- It started with Jesse, but one day while he was bored in the rec room, he asked Ahsoka (who was doing course work) if he could try to do a push up with her sitting on him (like in some of the holovideos he’s seen). She says yes. Rex walks in to see Jesse doing pushups while Ahsoka is typing out an essay on his back
- Pretty soon there is a competition between the veterans in the 501st on who can do the most pushups with Ahsoka sitting on them. Hardcase held the record until Rex stepped in and beat him by double
- There is an ongoing debate on how tall Ahsoka is, she argues that you measure from the tips of her montrals, her men argue its the top of her forehead.
- “Why would you measure from my forehead my mortals are literally attached to my head, the ARE the top of my head!” “even if we measured from your montrals, you still short as kriff.”
- Because Togruta don’t have hair, she is fascinated by it. Originally she only messed with Anakin’s hair but soon her men started letting her touch their hair was well. She would sit there playing with it for hours if they would let her (and many times they did because it feels good)
- They began teaching her some sayings in Manda’o and in return she taught them a few things in Togruti
- they all complain whenever they have to fly with her, but in reality they prefer her flying to their generals (and she is actually a very good flyer but they would never admit that)
- If Ahsoka hears someone insult her or say anything inappropriate about her, she ignores it, you say something about one of her troopers, she will not hesitate to jump them (Rex has had to haul her away from many brawls)
- If the troopers hear someone insult them they ignore it, if someone catcalls or insults their commander that person better pray to whatever god they believe in because they are about to meet their maker
- Ahsoka and Anakin started a karaoke tradition with the 501st but it stopped after Ahsoka left the order
- After Ahsoka left the order the clones still found themselves picking up small gifts on campaigns, and some chose to keep them with them in case Ahsoka ever came back

Obi-wan - we've been conducting an ongoing study to see what Anakin will and will not eat.
Cody - Grass? yes!
Obi-wan - Moss? yes!
Cody - Leaves? Oh yes!
Obi-wan - Shoelaces? strangely enough yes!
Cody - Worms? sometimes!
Obi-wan - Rocks? usually no!
Cody - Twigs? usually yeah!
Obi-wan - Ahsoka's cooking? Inconclusive!
Rex - Right, and how...how did you test this?
Obi-wan - oh well we just handed him things, and said 'hey eat this'.
Cody - and if he ate it, he ate it.
Rex - Right okay, i don't know how im supposed to feel about this.
Ahsoka - WAIT SO IS THAT WHERE ALL OF MY SHOE LACES WENT!?

Okay but do you think that when Ahsoka found out Padmé died she assumed Anakin had died trying to save her/avenge her because that’s what the Anakin she knew would have done for the woman he loved and that was pregnant with his child (because Ahsoka definitely knew about Anakin and Padmé?)
And since she hadn’t seen anything about Anakin she assumed he died in the process and the empire swiped it under the rug?

Listen the kid literally nicknamed snips doesn't really need any lessons on how to be rude to someone but regardless I think she would have picked up a few quips and tricks from the men soooo
Ways Ahsoka mouths off and posture that she learned from her brothers&Obi-wan:
Purposefully calling someone the wrong name. This is highly offensive to the clones.
Sliding her goggles on while someone is trying to give her directions. In a way that lets them know she's ignoring them.
Randomly shifting to parade rest while someones telling a long story or carrying on a conversation she doesn't want to be in anymore. This is because parade rest is an at attention/waiting to be dismissed position. She's literally asking "can I go now?"
Being overly compliant in a "yes sir", " right away", "roger", kinda way. Just interrupting instruction to say this shit. " would that be all?", "at your service"
She has absolutely just turned the volume down on a transmission and pretended that they lost audio and couldn't complete the call. Anakin does this in his fighters.
She has adopted so many facial expressions. Shes got wolffe's 'kill me now' face down. And Cody's subtle resting bitch face. Obi-wan's condescendingly patient face that makes it clear you're wasting her time. And best of all Anakin's 'are you fucking kidding me' face.
She has absolutely just taken her saber off her belt and started dissasembling it instead of listening to someone talk. It serves the dual purpose of a threat and a dismissal. Especially since she has a second saber at the ready. She's seen Rex pull this many times with his dc-17s.
Randomly kicking her feet up, leaning back, and resting her chin on her hand seems to convey the exact level of 'please shut up' that Obi-wan has cultivated.
She has offered to fix someone tea then just left, presumably to get the tea, but never came back.
Even though the rudeness factor doesn't really translate she does a lot of complimenting people on how nice and clean their clothes are if she's decided to completely ignore their plan/ strategy. In other words implying they're unqualified or too pampered to be giving orders. Kinda a reference to shinys and non-clone officers who never get out to the front.
This one is inherited from way back because Qui-gon used to just shift into a meditation instead of listening to someone telling him what to do, Obi-wan has done the same shit and on one occasion so has Ahsoka.
She's quick with the "that's above my rank." Essentially 'I'm not paid enough for that.'
Or "I'll consult my master." When she doesn't want to do something. Like Anakin isn't going to make her but you can't tell her 'no don't ask your guardian for permission, just do it' cuz that's real skeevy.
"I already have my orders." And "I have a job to complete first." Are also good way of telling someone no:)

Satine & Ahsoka Headcanons
1. There was one time where Ahsoka had bet the clones that she could learn how to dance like an expert by the end of the day, so bets are placed and the next morning Ahsoka goes to one of the dance practice rooms in the temple (dance is actually very good for Jedi, especially young Jedi, and many members are very passionate about dance) and gets to work. The only issue is; she’s watching awkward dance tutorials about waltzing. She’s trying so hard and just getting no where.
So in walks Satine- who’s heard from Obi-Wan what’s happening- in full work out gear, a bag, and a stereo. She asks Ahsoka to demonstrate how she fights, and quickly figures out the best style Ahsoka should be dancing in. Which btw, is hip-hop.
Satine used to take up dancing classes as an excuse to either get out of war training, or use it as a replacement for war training (much to her father’s irritation), so you can imagine she stocked up her schedule with all kinds of dance lessons.
Anywho, she gets Ahsoka in the right mindset and the right soundtrack, and Ahsoka gets really, really into it and before long, they’ve learned an entire dance routine.
It isn’t exactly perfect, but the clones reckon its pretty damn close for her first day, so Ahsoka wins all the betting money.
She uses it to take Satine out to lunch.
2. Satine, Ahsoka, and Padme will have ‘girls nights’, which the older women have set up to make sure Ahsoka is happy and healthy, and is feeling comfortable. Oftentimes they’ll watch a comedy and indulge in makeovers and massages (just because Ahsoka’s a badass doesn’t mean she isn’t totally down for a facial and painting her fingers and toes some awesome shade of maroon, black, or blue, okay?). They all trade stories and laugh about their idiot Jedi dads/husband/boyfriend and about the clones’ antics. Oh also, lots of video games (although Satine is horrible at them. She tries though, as hard as she can). They absolutely get ultra sugar highs and by the end of the night, Ahsoka is snuggled up in a fluffy kitty onesie with the cutest, purest smile of content on her face. The other women just smile at each other and whisper quietly about how amazing Ahsoka is or some other senate matter.
They don’t know it, but sometimes Ahsoka will still be half-awake and hear them talking about how handsome their two Jedi boyfriends are, or hear the good things they say about her. It’s a huge boost for Ahsoka, who will always get up in the middle of the night and make a sugary punch and type up a really long essay on how much she loves her space moms.
She looks forward to those nights on long mission days where she’s stressed and/or upset.
3. Ahsoka once got Satine a beautiful tooka that was absolutely feral. She found it on the streets of some backwater planet she and the 501st were on and instantly thought of Satine. She even named it Pookums, after her master’s quarter of a braincell came up with that undercover name, and she bought it a collar and shipped it off right away with a sweet note. Unfortunately, no matter how much Satine loved poor Pookums or how much she tried to calm the tooka down, it would not stop terrorizing the staff or her palace, so when it ran away for the third time she had to let Pookums go. She wrote Ahsoka a very heartfelt and long apology letter about it, and although Ahsoka was sad that the creature couldn’t stay, she and Satine had many laughs about it in the future.
Satine makes Ahsoka and everyone else promise to never send her pets again, although some of her friends that don’t know the entire story are always confused as to why that is.
After all, it must get lonely in a palace all by yourself, they think.
Meanwhile Obi-Wan is lounging upon the bed, being dramatic and wreaking more havoc than even Pookums was capable of.
(Btw, Pookums is very much fine; Ahsoka finds her years later after she returns from finding Ezra, and she and the cat live out the rest of their time together.)
4. Satine and Ahsoka have a comm channel that is absolutely insane. As in, it would not be able to be accessed without government authority because some of the stuff they talk about is so classified. Mostly Satine (or Korkie himself when he steals his auntie’s holo) give Ahsoka updates on how Korkie and the gang are doing, or telling Ahsoka something interesting, but the other parts. HA. There are so many bored truth-or-dare games, bets made, and gossip spread that not even the holonet is that informed.
5. Satine will send Ahsoka pieces of pretty jewelry or nice dresses or comfy clothes for quote un quote ‘disguises,’ although she really hopes that Ahsoka just likes them and will wear the stuff because it’s comfy and she feels confident in them. (After all, if she can’t get one Jedi to wear nice or comfortable clothes, maybe she can get another to?)

Angsty Clone Headcannon/AU
After Order 66, months after the Empire has been established, some of the Clones start waking up and realizing what they’ve done. Sometimes, a Clone is found dead from a blaster to the head, in their old armor, a name written on the back of their helmet.
One day, half a dozen members of the 501st are found like that, but instead of blue helmets, Vader discovers orange painted helmets with one name on the back over and over again.
Ahsoka Tano.
These aren’t just Clones who killed their Jedi. These are the Clones who killed their Commanders. Their Jedi Padawans.

Aru'e Tio'r (Enemy Within)
Whooooo guess who's still alive? ME! For now anyway. School is breathing down my neck, but I only have this next week left and then I AM FREE (assuming I passed all my tests that is) I am so sorry for the super late Update, especially since it feels kinda short for the wait, but I tried working on it as much as I could and I think it says a lot but not too much (which will be shown next time) SO yeah, I'm back! Hopefully, I'll be able to get my regular irregular updates up soon as well. And again, there's plenty of you lovely reviewers so I went from oldest to newest on my reply thingy.
Now, onwards to the thing you've all been waiting for! Hopefully there's still people left who read it. Also, this is where my own story for Rex's past comes into play, so if you haven't read it yet, feel free to do so - It's Aliit Ori'shya tal'din (Family is more than blood) but it's not really necessary to understand this story
[Ch.1] [Ch.2] [Ch.3] [Ch.4] [Ch.5] [Ch.6] [Ch.7] [Ch.8] [Ch.9] [Ch.10] [Ch.11] [FanFic] [AO3] [Master-list]
More about the 112th [Standard Headcannons] [Happy Version]
Chapter 12
Despite how tired they were; they knew this would likely be the last battle. So, they pressed on. With reinforcements here as well, it made it bearable and probably the only reason they were still alive.
“They’re retreating!” the voice came over all the com. links and everyone relaxed ever so slightly. The Umbarans were leaving and the Separatists were destroyed. They’ve won.
“Cody, any luck with reaching the surface?” Obi-Wan asked, steadily flying back to the Negotiator. They won this battle, finally, but the war isn’t over.
“No, only static. We can’t reach anyone,” the worry in the Commander’s voice couldn’t be missed. And the feeling he was getting through the Force didn’t bode any better.
“We should get these men back on the ships – they deserve rest,” Kenobi glanced around at the pilots and saw their tired but relieved smiles.
“Perhaps-” Cody started, cutting himself off. Just as the General was going to prompt him to continue, he spoke again. “Perhaps we could send a small party down, to check on things? Maybe going there with a fresh communicator could break this static?” He didn’t sound like his usual self, less confidant, but given what was happening, it was understandable.
“I second that,” Tiin’s voice cut through as he flew closer to Obi-Wan. “We need to organize with ground forces as soon as able.”
“It’s settled then,” Kenobi gave a small grin. “Cody, take a squad of your best men and see what’s happening down there. Report back as soon as you are able.”
“Waxer, Boil! Get the boys organized – we’re heading to the surface!” Cody called as he briskly walked through the ship. He needed experts – Umbara was no place for rookies. Trapper and Hunt are a must and he was hoping Nighteye was feeling better.
“Sir!” the duo quickly saluted and scurried off in a rush to tell the others. They’ve all been itching for a fight and some action, but they weren’t fools – they need to be ready for anything down there.
“Hang on brothers, we’re on our way.”
As Reeve stepped out the tent again, he let out a sad and trembling sigh. He hadn’t meant to do that - to tell them everything like that. He was supposed to be better than that. And yet… And yet he too was broken and looked to these men as heroes, as guides to something better and something more. And maybe, maybe he wanted them to understand, to see just how bad things were here. Maybe he wanted to let it all out, all the pain and suffering he’s felt since everything had gone to hell. After all, he was broken as well…
“Captain?” his eyes snapped up at the voices and he saw three brothers standing there, looking anxious and worried. Then again, when didn’t any of them look that way?
“Yes?” his voice was stuffy and weak so he cleared his voice and straightened his back. He remembers these three - they’re a bit younger than him, but older than most here. And there were five of them, back then… He remembers one of theirs was the first to take his own life rather than wait for Krell to do so. Many more followed.
“Is - is it true? That, they’re from the 501st?” their eyes were wide and hoping and he didn’t know why.
“Yes,” was his simple answer. He can’t blame them from hoping - who wouldn’t want to meet their hero? Someone they looked up to so much. “Go in if you want, just don’t overwhelm them, okay?”
“Thank you sir!” their lips formed weak smiles, but smiles nonetheless. When was the last time any of them had really been able to smile?
“Is this everyone?” Ahsoka asked, looking at the gathered soldiers. Many were tired and wounded, and those able, took watch over their small resting spot. They needed a camp and fast.
“Yes. About 50 made it, the rest either captured or dead,” Appo’s voice was cold and curt, but she sensed the anger and sadness from the Force around him.
“We need to find a defensible spot and soon - we got lucky no Umbaran’s attacked us so far,” Kano said, looking around at the men.
“I need to know,” Tano stared up at them, eyes hard, “what happened here.” It wasn’t a question.
“...We’ll explain everything as we move,” Appo seemed to promise, but the pain in his tone made her question it. Just how much would they really tell?
“Then we better get moving…”
“Hey… Hey! Heeeey!” he heard someone calling, but it was like he was underwater. What happened?
“Cut it out! Let him sleep,” a shove, a grunt and a snicker. He knew those voices.
“He’s usually the first one up…” a third one now, and they sounded closer.
“Rough week – it’s understandable,” a fourth one and he swallowed hard to keep his panic in control. This can’t be real.
“Hey, Rexy, can you hear us?” a hand on his shoulder and he managed to open his eyes.
“Welcome back to the living!” he was greeted by four brothers – one with long hair, a bald one, a bearded one and a tattooed one.
“…” he opened his mouth, but no words came out. No, no, this can’t be… It can’t.
“Why are you crying?” they looked in worry and concern, but they seemed real.
“…You died,” his voice was barely above a whisper and he could feel the tears running down his face.
Jezdec, or was it Fives, laughed as Bishop, why does he look like Jesse, shook his head. Pion, since when does Kix have long hair, gave a weak smile and Turm, is that Hardcase, seemed highly amused. Then, they each bent down, aiming to pick him up, when a bright light blinded him, hurting his eyes and he had to close them. But just before he could, he saw Echo again, or what they made him into.
“Good morning, Captain,” he heard and the voice boomed in his head, enhancing his headache. But he knew instantly who the speaker was, as if the way he said his rank wasn’t indication enough.
Rex quickly managed to turn his pain into hate as he glared at the Besalisk, who stood in front of him, grinning. It was then that he noticed he was trapped – his hands were raised above him and held there with a small containment field, encasing both his fists, as his feet barely touched the floor. The top of his armour has been stripped off, so at least he had more manoeuvrability. It did little to ease him though, as he tried to struggle against his bonds. And as he did, he felt something on his head - felt like a metal ring, with small boxes on his temples. What is it?
“None of that,” the activation of a lightsaber and it’s light next to his head gave the soldier pause as he glared at the Jedi. “You are making this needlessly harder for yourself.”
“…” the Captain remained silent and saw the glint of annoyance in Krell’s eyes. Good.
“So be it,” Pong hissed and raised one arm. As soon as he did, Rex felt his airway close and couldn’t breathe properly. He started choking, even closing his eyes, before suddenly being released and automatically gasped for air.
“Sir,” his vision was blurry, but he managed to see… an Umbaran? Why was he-
“What?” Krell snapped, turning back to the native.
“The clones are ready for the implants – you said you wished to remain updated?” the Umbaran’s voice was more mechanical than he remembers – must be using a translator.
“…Of course, I’ll be there momentarily,” Krell waved him off and turned back to the captured soldier. “Don’t go anywhere now,” the sadistic smirk on his face made Rex sick and he actually swallowed. The power coming off the bastard was… immense. With a fleeting glare Rex let out a deep breath and hung his head, feeling exhausted.
They sat in silence, their eyes focused on some random point in the tent as they tried to swallow and process what they’ve been told. To think their distant brothers had it so bad? It just… seemed too unreal to imagine. Their eyes met briefly, and they both saw the sadness and sorrow in the others, while their faces were unable to hide worry. What are they going to do?
Just then, they noticed the trio of brothers entering the tent, looking skittish but excited as they seem to whisper among each other about something.
“Can we help you?” Fives decided to ask, still sitting by his brother’s legs.
“Um…” the middle one, maybe a little bit taller than his companions, shifted his weight. “You’re the 501st men, right?” his voice was weak and his words quick as he avoided looking either of them in the eyes.
“Yeah,” Jesse spoke up, leaning on his elbows to get a proper view of the rookies.
The middle one craned his neck, whispering to his friends again as they seemed to get into a small argument. But their eyes always drifted back to the duo.
“Okay, okay!” the far left one, a bandage over his left shoulder, hissed more loudly and took a small step forward. “We were… um…” he mumbled, biting his lip.
“Captain!” the far right one, holding his bucket in his hands, added to his friend, almost in fear.
“R-Right… Um,” the bandaged one started again. “Your Captain… He’s still the same, right?”
“…There’s only been one captain in the 501st,” Fives clarified, but he looked confused. A look at Jesse, but the man only shrugged.
“So it’s still him…” the middle one whispered, eyes widening slightly. “We don’t… get much news out here.” At that, the ARC winced internally. That’s right. If anything did happen, these soldiers wouldn’t know about it.
“Why do you ask?” Jesse mange to speak and made the boys jump slightly.
“Well…”
“Dogma…” Tup whispered, looking up from where he was sitting. “What’s going on out there?” He was tired but dared not sleep. Ever since… since Krell captured them, they were brought to one of the Umbaran secret bunkers. Looked like a lab of some sorts. There were many others too – they were together with Kite, Jigsaw and Griff in the second one from the entrance as Umbarans kept milling about. When they were brought in here, strange collars were placed on their napes and so far, no one was sure what they did. Nothing good.
“…I don’t know…” Dogma’s quite voice sounded defeated as the man stood by the prison field-gate, trying to understand.
“There’s a lot of the others… Probably half of everyone who was at the base…” Kite’s eyes followed the movement outside and inside the cells.
“How many more do you think were killed?” Jigsaw didn’t mean to sound so angry, but the hopelessness of the situation put him in a dark mood.
“From what we heard, some are still left,” Griff spoke up for the first time in a while, voice low and weak. “The medics barricaded themselves and the wounded in one of the hangers.”
“Krell would’ve been able to open them without much problem…” Tup mumbled, resting his chin on his arms as he wrapped them around his knees.
“What?” Kite asked, turning his attention to the rookie. The others gave a similar confused expression, with Dogma clenching his fists.
“Krell betrayed us,” Tup didn’t raise his voice, but he felt sick as the words left his mouth.
“…” the silence in the cell was broken only by the Umbarans outside, as the others were too shocked to give a verbal answer.
“I knew he was a bastard but…” Griff didn’t even finish, shaking his head.
“How long? How long has he been working with them?” Jigsaw looked from one brother to the other, trying to keep his anger from growing.
“Who knows…? But think about what’s happened here? It’s all on him…” Dogma spoke up, but the sheer anger and hate beneath his words made his brothers pause. For someone who seems to always be in control, he was losing the battle against his feelings quickly.
Before anyone was able to say any more, the door opened and through it walked the Besalisk himself and a group of Umbarans. Suddenly, everyone’s attention was on the Jedi.
They landed carefully and as quietly as they could. The deadly silence around them as they disembarked put them all on high alert.
“Communications?” Cody asked, looking at Jetstream as he worked on the transmitter.
“Losing fast – there has to be something here blocking any outgoing or incoming transmission,” Jetstream explained, clearly annoyed.
“How much time till we’re compactly in the dark?” Boil glanced from one brother to the other.
“I’d give it half an hour, maybe less. The closer we’re going to get to this thing, the sooner it’ll all be gibberish.”
“Then we better work fast – are our group links still operational?” the Commander activated his and saw his brothers doing the same.
“Read you sir,” they chimed in. At least they had something.
“Good – spread out into three groups, but not too far away. This is enemy territory. We need to be able to take them out quickly and neatly, otherwise these woods will be swarmed with Umbaran patrols,” Cody saw the boys already moving into squads as he spoke.
“What’s our main objective?” Trapper asked as all eyes turned on their superior.
“Find the airbase and our brothers,” was the simple reply as Cody himself joined a squad.
“How are we supposed to do that?” Waxer tried to make it sound humours, but the Commander’s answer killed any of the joy.
“Follow the bodies.”
He was tired, in pain and couldn’t properly focus. So much happened so quickly… he could hardly wrap his mind around it. Echo was alive – if he could call it that. Krell’s been a traitor for who knows how long. Fives, Jesse and Hardcase – what happened to them? What happened to all his brothers in the hanger? When was the last time he dreamt of them…
But maybe more than anything, he wanted to know why he was here. Why was Krell keeping him locked up, but very much alive? What does he plan to gain, that he can’t get himself. It made Rex shiver where he hung, just thinking about it. Letting out a deep breath, he tried to focus, to remember what happened. He found Echo, Krell saw him and then…
He fired off his blaster, but the Jedi used one of his lightsabers to deflect the shots. He didn’t have much room to manoeuvre, so Krell easily crashed into him, sending him flying into the nearest wall and knocking the air out of his lungs. For a second, the world turned dark and in the next, blight lights almost blinded him. The weapons were inches from his neck on both sides – if he even tried to move up, he’d behead himself.
“How troublesome,” the Besalisk had said, frowning as he looked down on the clone. “This makes things… complicated.”
Just as he was about to open his mouth to ask something, he felt his head knocked back against the wall and everything was spinning and there were black dots in his vision. A second shove and his head hit the wall again, this time he could feel something dripping down his neck. A third, and he was knocked unconscious.
Another deep sigh and Rex frowned as he could hardly feel his arms any longer. Looking up, the field holding him was solid and seemed to be connected to a panel on the outside of his cell. So much for trying to break free. He was worried about everyone – especially since he had no idea how long he was unconscious. Just what madness has Krell done in that time?
“This seems like a good enough place,” Kano said quietly as what was gathered of the escapees arrived at a small clearing in the forest. They’ve ran into a scouting group of Umbarans, but managed to take them out while not losing anyone.
“…” Appo said nothing as he stared off in the distance, but he clenched his fists. The others were quietly whispering to themselves and Ahsoka glanced from group to group. Then, she followed the Sergeant’s gaze and felt the air in her throat choke.
“…What happened here?” her voice was a quiver, her eyes wide and a hand going up to cover her mouth. Tears, sudden and unbidden, started falling down her cheeks as she took in the white amour lying in the red and black fields of flora. Brothers. Vode. Dead. All of them.
“…War,” someone, she didn’t know who, said back quietly. Only then did she notice the destroyed shells of Umbaran walkers and tanks, as well as the dark suits of the natives. But the amount of white clad bodies she saw. Never before had she seen such a number of dead.
The emotions radiating off the others did little to help her ease her mind and control her emotions as she tried to stifle a sob.
“Commander…” a hand on her shoulder – probably Appo – but she didn’t react. She didn’t want to be commander. Not right now. She can’t be. She was Ahsoka, padawan learner and youngling.
A sudden noise near them put everyone on edge as they reached for their weapons, and Ahoka just barely had time to collect herself to yell a warning before the first shot was fired.
“Everything is ready,” an Umbaran said as he walked up to the Jedi, handing a datapad.
“Then prepare the first two volunteers,” a smirk came to the Besalisk’s face as he looked down and then looked at the imprisoned soldiers.
The Umbaran turned around, said something in their tongue, and the fifth cell was opened up. Instantly, the soldiers inside tried to fight it off, but the natives had long, electric staffs and shocked any brother who would fight.
The first two, being torn away from their group, were Lad and Himo – rookies. Yells and shouts of the older ones were heard as the two were dragged forward, forced on their knees with their backs bent. The electric shocks must have cramped up their muscles as they clearly had problems moving at all.
“Do it,” Krell said and two Umbarans, wearing black and yellow instead of the usual gear, walked over and behind the two rookies, holding blue boxes. Once there, they pressed a button on the collar and it opened up a small compartment. It was like a small cage only on the nape. And then… then they took something from those blue boxes. It looked like bugs – small and glowing blue, with long antennas and a tail with a sting at the end of it. The men only saw them for a second, before those things were placed in the collars – compartments more like – and it was closed. But not a second later, and the two rookies started screaming and thrashing, their bloody cries shaking many of their brothers to the core. Yet just as quickly as it started, it ended and the two calmed down, head hung and eyes void. The Umbarans released them and they collapsed forward, still unmoving.
“Well?” Krell was impatient as he asked, frowning down.
“…Dead,” an Umbaran checked their pulses and shook his head. “We need to fix it so it works properly.”
“Well, do it. You have all the lab rats you may need and I’ll be fetching those who thought they could hide soon. I want this working.”
“Understood.”
As Pong turned to leave, the still imprisoned soldiers couldn’t breathe or even really react. Some went to touch the collars on their napes, swallowing in fear. Others simply dropped down, unable to stand any longer. Few of the rookies turned away, trying to fight the emotions boiling inside. But they were all scared.
“Alright, you should be able to move now, but don’t go rock jumping yet,” a medic said as he did a final check on Jesse. “But…” he cut himself off, a weak sigh escaping.
“But?” Jesse asked as he slowly and carefully put his feet off the bed.
“You’ll never be able to move like you did before. Running should be fine, but any more complex movement and you risk injury again,” there was sadness and pity in his eyes as he spoke that.
“It can’t be that bad!” Jesse tried to protest, but as he stepped on his feet, he nearly lost his balance. Luckily, Fives caught him quickly enough. “I can hardly feel my legs…” the words left his mouth before he could stop them.
“That’s what I was talking about – they’re still damaged. I’m not… I’m not sure how long, if even ever, they will fully heal.”
“…” another silence in the tent as the two 501st boys let this sink in.
“Hey,” came a voice as someone entered the tent. It was the bandaged rookie from before. “They said he’s woken up – you can see him now.”
“Thank whoever,” Fives breathed out, a small smile of relief on his face. But still, one look at Jesse put him back into a sad mood.
“Let’s go… He’ll be lonely soon,” Jesse managed, but didn’t deny the support Fives gave him as they slowly walked towards the exit.
“Just follow me – the Captain is already there. He’ll probably have some more questions for all of you.”
Cut! Hehe, things are probably still confusing and all over the place, but I think we're getting somewhere! Hopefully, anyway. Jumped a lot all around again, so I hope it didn't make anyone space sick or anything - you can always ask me about something, and I'll do my best to try and clarify, without spoling the story ANYWAY! Thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed it! Please, do review what you thought - I love hearing from you lovely people! Till next time~

501st Battalion’s Nightmare Repellent
The first time Ahsoka fell asleep in the barracks was while comforting a shiny after a hard campaign. The next time was after being practically dragged there by a certain set of trouble making twins intent on making sure she got rest. After that it became more common for Ahsoka to find herself in the barracks.
Soon the members of Torrent began to notice how much better they slept with the little togruta around. Some found that they were finally able to fall asleep, others found that they were finally able to stay asleep, rarely waking up from nightmares. It didn't occur to them that this was a Force ability she used, most of the time unconsciously, until she’d had to give Denal a sleep Force suggestion after he’d woken up in a panic and couldn’t calm down. She was soon given an unofficial designated bunk.
That bunk regularly had a shiny curled up in it beside the little togruta, sometimes 2 would cram in. Other times an older member could be found there. Ahsoka had grown used to falling asleep by herself and waking up with someone at her back. She had also grown used to waking up in an entirely different bunk. Hardcase had a habit of snatching her off her bunk and carrying Ahsoka to his own bunk to sleep. If there was a shiny with her, he'd haul them both to his bunk. Fives had also taken up scooping her off her own bunk and carrying her over to Echo’s bunk to sleep, he was usually too tired to haul her up the ladder to his own bunk.
After difficult campaigns Ahsoka would usually sleep in the area with the most shinies, dragging thin mattresses to the floor so more troopers could join her. Her gentle presence helped calm them after days running on adrenaline, her stories of old Jedi and old wars kept their mind from the terrors they had just witnessed, her shoulder to cry on made them feel human. More than once Anakin has gone to the barracks looking for his padawan and been unable to find her due to her being hidden by a trooper’s wide shoulders.
If Ahsoka knows that she will not make it down to the barracks she sends a message so no one stays awake waiting up all night.
After a few months with the 501st, Ahsoka began to spend more time in the med bay as well. Once she learned how to block out other people’s pain better, she made herself useful to comfort those injured and offered her limited knowledge of Force healing to keep others alive. For particularly unruly members she would just climb into the bunk to keep them in place. She also learned that it took more stress off of the medics, and having had Kix end up in her bunk more than a few times, she knew they needed the support.
When Ahsoka herself needed comfort, she would usually clamber into Echo, Rex, or sometimes Kix’s bunk as they were the closest bottom bunks for her. Echo in particular usually woke up when she settled in, shifting her over to the wall side so he could block out the rest of the world from her.
After the Citadel, the only person able to get Fives to sleep was Ahsoka. They’d usually curl up on Echo’s old bunk and shake themselves to sleep. He’d cling to her as if at any moment she would slip away too. If Fives was having a particularly bad night Rex would climb in because he was strong enough to hold the ARC still when he woke up thrashing, while Ahsoka worked to calm his mind and send him back to sleep.
The 501st didn’t notice just how much Ahsoka did for them during the night until she was gone. Quite literally gone, disappeared seemingly without a trace. The only evidence she had been on Felucia at all were her poorly hidden lightsabers. When they had finally returned to the Resolute after 2 full days and nights of searching the planet for their lost commander, they were all exhausted. Jesse, Fives, and Hardcase fell asleep on her bunk, trying to find any comfort in her absence. Rex and other older members were woken multiple times by their own nightmares and the shouts of other troopers who needed comfort. Only after they had returned to Coruscant and the barracks were almost empty, most of the 501st out drinking, did Rex curl up on Ahsoka’s bunk. He prayed to whatever gods would listen to protect his little sister where ever she was in the galaxy. When she finally returned to them, Torrent didn’t bother fighting over who got to stay with her, they just piled the mattresses up on the floor and stuck her in the middle. Anything that wanted their vod’ika would have to get through them. For the first time in a week and a half, they all slept.
After Umbara Ahsoka was worried that her men wouldn’t want a Jedi in their bunks and opted to keep her distance to give them time. She also wasn’t sure she was ready to face the now empty bunk of yet another one of her closest brothers. This was quickly changed when Jesse showed up at her private quarters door still visibly shaken from a nightmare and asked if he could sleep in her bunk. With Jesse completely curled around her that night, it really began to sink in for her how young they all really were, despite fighting in a war no one asked for. The next night she carefully approached the barracks only to find multiple people already hunkering down around her bunk.
One shiny in particular (well she couldn’t really call any of them shinies after Umbara) had a tendency to curl up in Fives bunk. However, it wasn’t long before the ARC was called out again for a mission. The next night Ahsoka woke up to hear someone shouting and promptly shook the trooper named Tup awake. He stared at her in fear and she had no doubt that he’d been dreaming up Krell. After a few coxing words he followed her back to her own bunk and settled down. The next morning she woke up to find the younger trooper curled into her front with his head tucked into her chest. He soon became a regular occupant in her bunk.
Not long after Kadavo Ahsoka had to drag Rex from the training rooms to her bunk because she knew he had hardly slept since the mission (She hadn’t either but she wasn’t going to admit anything was wrong). Mindful of the still healing wounds on his back she promptly sent him to sleep. When he woke a few hours later she gave him the painkillers Kix had left with her and sent him back to sleep. She did that the rest of the night and the next night until he finally began to look less like a walking corpse.
During the investigation into the temple bombing Ahsoka didn’t stay in the barracks as much, the night that they found the real culprit the 501st’s little vod’ika crashed into her bunk and didn’t wake up for 12 hours. That was the last night she ever slept in the barracks.
The 501st hardly slept at all after Ahsoka was arrested and chased through Coruscant. Their battalion was locked down in the barracks lest they go out and impede the search because they had a ‘bias’ against her, though it was probably warranted given the look on Fives’ and Jesse’s faces when they heard she was being pursued. After she was captured again they expected the Jedi Council to give her a trial and let her go, because they all knew there was no way in the 9 Corellian Hells Ahsoka Tano could have been the one behind the bombing and the deaths of the prisoner and the troopers. To hear that she had not only been found guilt but thrown out of the Jedi Order itself sent icy fear through all of them. How could their little commander, their vod’ika, the one that slept in the barracks and rocked terrified shinies to sleep, that chased away their own nightmares so that they could finally rest, do something as terrible as this?
The battalion as a whole listened in on her trial, and they had never been so relieved to hear their general’s voice cut in to save her. She wasn’t guilty, no she was betrayed. They all knew that the Jedi would have to let her back in, they would need to atone for their own betrayal of their commander. But then the little togruta had arrived at the barracks, arms wrapped around herself and only a small sack around her shoulders. She was leaving she told them through barely contained tears. She was leaving and she was sorry.
The battalion was devastated, but they understood why she was leaving. She had been betrayed by the very family that had raised her. She said goodbye to each trooper, saving Torrent for last. She wiped away Tup’s tears and winced slightly at the sheer force of Jesse and Fives’ hugs. Rex held out a pack full of credits and ration bars and finally let the depth of his grief show. He clung to his vod’ika for a long time before finally releasing her.
The days following they didn’t sleep. When they had to ship off to their fist mission without Ahsoka, the void left in her wake was apparent. The medics noted how much more sedative and painkillers they had to dispense now that Ahsoka’s calming presence was gone. The veterans were woken up more often to go help their vod with nightmares. General Skywalker was doing poorly as well, it didn’t surprise Rex much when he showed up in the barracks looking like he hadn’t slept in weeks. He didn’t help much with nightmares but it was more the sense that they were all grieving together at made them rest a little easier.

NOOO WAIT A SECOND
So I saw something about if Ahsoka goes back to the Jedi temple in totj it’s going to be so sad.
And then I started thinking
What if she goes back, sees the 501st walking around cleaning up the bodies and obv she can put 2 and 2 together and I just-
I would not be able to handle that. Like it would hurt so bad.
WHAT IF SHE SEES CODY AND THINKS OBI-WAN IS GONE??? WHAT THEN???

‼️‼️AHSOKA EP 5 SPOILERS‼️‼️‼️‼️
You have been warned
I have WAYYY too many feelings about this episode. Like omg??
I will try to make this as comprehensible as possible but it’s 11:30 and I’ve been up since 6 and I’m REALLY EXCITED
Okay RAPID FIRE
Huyang holding Sabines helmet was so sad and it felt like he was kind of mourning her and I swear I almost cried
(Technically last episode) Hera getting there BARELY too late made me so sad
THE WHOLE AHSOKA AND ANAKIN THING
THE BANTER “You look the same” “You look old” “Well that happens”
I LOVE THEMMMMM
Them fighting, Anakin sending her back to their first battle to go through everything
ALL THE CLONES
HER HOLDING THE HAND OF THE CLONE AND HIM HOLDING HER HAND BACK
I saw Rex in the corner of the screen and I was like OH MY GOD ITS REX LET HIM TALK PLEASEEEEE
I retained very little of that scene I was so focused on Rex
He had like 5 words BUT HE TALKED
HE DID IT
He didn’t take his helmet off BUT WE HEARD HIM TALK TO AHSOKA
AND IN THE CREDITS IT WAS CAPTAIN/COMMANDER REX
I actually had such an emotionally reaction to him being called commander. I was for a week but IT STILL HAPPENED
And most importantly Temuera Morrison as Rex FINALLY 😭
I CANNOT get over how young she looks. Like obviously we could tell in the animation in the first few seasons that she was young but she looked soooo much younger live action Mandolore compared to animated Mandolore. It hurt me. She’s so young.
AND THE FACT THAT WE GOT TO SEE LIVE ACTION MANDOLORE AND AHSOKA DESTORYING GROWN WARRIORS AT 17 😭😭
I love her
And the young Ahsoka actress (Ariana Greenblatt) was amazing all the love in the world to her ❤️❤️
THE FUCKING
SWITCHES
BETWEEN ANAKIN AND VADER
THAT LOOKED SO COOL
AND TERRIFYING
And Jacen. Being able to hear Ahsoka fighting??? AMAZING
The fact that Jacen saved her? I will never get over that.
BUT AHSOKA BEING UPSET THAT ANAKIN IS COMPARING HER TO HIM BECAUSE LOOK HOW HE TURNED OUT AND THEN HER HAVING THE YELLOW EYES??? AHHH
I can’t be 100% sure but I’m pretty sure the way she defeated Anakin is very similar to how she defeated the inquisitor in Tales of the Jedi. I could be reaching tho idk
And I have to mention it. Ahsoka without the headband in live action was a massive jump scare. I made like an actual noise and recoiled a bit lmao 😭😭
But her being like Jacen is here?? And the way he ran up to her and hugged her and she hugged him back you KNOW she’s auntie Ahsoka. She spent enough time around that kid to be that cool aunt that’s also a Jedi.
Her being ohhhh you heard me fighting huh? I know she already knew he was force sensitive (I mean come on he’s Kanans son) it she was like 😏😌😃
ALSO THAT KANAN FULL NAME DROP. I LOVE IT. THANK YOU
So the New Republic is like “yo you did a bad thing we’re coming to pick you up” and Hera’s like “aw shit really?”
Then AHSOKAS like “hey what if we used the thing that Ezra used to get IN THIS SITUATION IN THE FIRST PLACE” amd Hera’s like “damn u right” so Ahsoka does her Jedi communication thing
AND JUST GOES IN THE MOUTH OF THE SPACE WHALE??? CAUSE WHY NOT I GUESS???
But yea
I love Carson with my whole heart he is everything to me
He’s like “I’m so ducking done with this but I know it’s the right thing so imma lie even tho I might get fired. Cause this new gov is kiiinda bs but it’s still okay. U go Hera u got this and I’ll always back u up” AND I LOVE THAT ABOUT HIM!! I love Ahsoka but he’s #2 especially in this episode
So he’s like “lol look I wasn’t lying”
And I just have one lil question.
What happened to that whole thing where the purrgil were ship destroyers? Like that’s their whole introduction was in Rebels where everyone’s like “These things are dangerous they just wander and destroy ships don’t go near them that’s all they do”
And then Ezra (I think I don’t exactly remember) is like “actually they’re pretty smart. Also they use hidden hyperspace lanes to travel. So they’re actually pretty cool” and THAT was just a thing in like season 2 or something wayyy before the finale.
But now they’re just weaving their way through the ships??
I guess you could argue that Ahsoka was like “hey could you not” and/or the captains were moving the ships around the purrgil but still they’re known to be super destructive even if the ships try to avoid them?
Idk whatever not that important
I CANNOT PHYSICALLY WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK IM SO HYPED THIS WAS DEFINITELY THE BEST EPISODE SO FAR
I can’t wait to get an update on Sabine thooo
WE STILL HAVE 3 EPISODES LEFT THO THEY BETTER NOT DO THE FINALE EPISODE FLOP THAT KEEPS HAPPENING.
I SWEAR.
Anyways overall amazing episode I love seeing Ahsoka and Anakin banter and also fight and Jacen being force sensitive and Huyang and Carson AND HERA OF COURSE!! LOVE HER
Can’t wait for next week aaaaaaa

Ok I don’t know what it is, but Howzer looks so much like Rex. I know you probably are all like ‘well no shit they are clones’ but if u look at like Rex and Fives side by side THEY BARELY LOOK ALIKE. Same with Rex and Jesse and everyone else, but u put Howzer and Rex next to each other and they look so alike. Like I’ll see edits and the top bit of Howzer gorgeous hair is cut off so u just see the buzzed sides and I have to do a double take because for a second I think it’s Rex.

These are all from the Umbara arc so they all have the same design model (Rex, Fives, Jesse, Hardcase)

I think it’s hilarious that we are all in agreement that the CC batch of Cody, Wolffe, Bly, Fox, and Ponds adopted Rex because his old batch was a bunch of assholes

Clone Wars Headcannons
All over the place but yeah enjoy
Ahsoka will let her men test out pick up lines before shore leave and give them tips on how to better pick up girls
Ahsoka picked up her eye rolling habit from Wolffe
Fives and Echo refer to Rex as “oh captain my captain” (Rex is very annoyed)
Clone troopers sleep better when they cuddle up with someone
Anakin has given Ahsoka and many of his men heart attacks when he randomly removes his prosthetic hand
There are painted line of the Resolutes floor near the medical bays to mark how far troopers have made it when they attempt to escape the medics
This usually ends with the medics full body tackling their vod and occasionally their Jedi
Hardcase has the furthest mark with Fives very near behind him
Much to Wolffe’s dismay young animals love to imprint of him during campaigns, he says he hates it but Sinker once saw Wolffe carrying around a baby loth cat wrapped in one of his blankets
Rex is a natural blonde due to a mutation and I will die on this hill
Fox and Wolffe have the highest spice tolerance of their batch and their brothers are very concerned for them
Based on the scene in the Umbara arc where Tup is hanging onto the gunship handle with 2 hands, he is a very nervous flier
Ahsoka noticed that Tup was a nervous flier and now tries to get on the same ships as him to help keep him calm
The 501st has different tallies up throughout the barracks for random things like ‘how many times the general loses his lightsaber’, ‘best quotes for the week’, etc
Clone troopers speak mando’a, kaminoan, and basic fluently
Rex always wins arm wrestling contests, even against Anakin
Ahsoka learned how to play sabacc from the Wolf Pack and has been banned from playing in most 501st circles because she always wins
The CCs have the ability to sleep with their eyes open and Wolffe and Fox actively chose to do so to creep everyone else out
Cody has broken his wrists and his shins from fist fighting droids but he continues to do it
Many troopers in the 501st have also attempted to fist fight droids but quickly stopped when the medics refused to treat them
Anakin has also attempted to fist fight droids and damaged his cybernetic hand enough that he had to get a new one
Ahsoka purrs when she sleeps close to other people
Hardcase almost cried when he first heard Ahsoka purr because he thought it was cutest damn thing
Capture the flag is the 501st’s favorite down time activity
Cody has hidden drugs in Obi-Wan’s tea to make him sleep which Obi-Wan was rather offended by but continued to accept all tea given to him by his commander
Ahsoka set up a projector in the rec room and on hyper space trips she plays holomovies so her men can be ‘cultured’
Ahsoka is good friends with Padme and Riyo Chuchi and regularly gets together with them for girls nights
Rex has gotten a tattoo while drunk but Cody is the only one that knows about it

My #1 post of 2022
I see your “Ahsoka Tano gets de-aged and Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Plo enter dad mode” and I raise you:
Ahsoka Tano gets de-aged and battle tested, top strategist and captain of the 501st Rex, melts and enters ultimate ori’vod mode as soon as he sees his commander tiny. The 501st as a whole fights over who gets to carry her around the ship and Anakin watches his extremely competent and experienced battalion fall to pieces as soon as they see baby Ahsoka.
Marshall Commander Cody aka the ori’vod of half the GAR let’s baby Ahsoka sit in his lap as he does reports and carries her to meetings. The 212th take turns escorting the tiny commander to the med bay to be checked up on (because god knows how many diseases they come into contact with as they travel around the galaxy). Obi-Wan watches one of the best legions in the GAR fall prey again and again to his grandpadawan’s tooka eyes.
All of this only happens if they can pry Ahsoka from the 104th. Wolffe refuses to let Ahsoka out if his sight when she is with them, usually resorting to carrying her everywhere. Rarely has anybody seen Ahsoka not being carried, either on the shoulders or in the arms, of Commander Wolffe. Those in the 104th that had known Ahsoka before she became Anakin’s student and the commander of the 501st don’t trust her well-being with their other brothers. It’s not that they doubt their brothers’ with Ahsoka, it’s just that they feel much better when she is safe with them. Completely normal. Plo watches his serious and battle hardened battalion soften as soon as they get their hands on baby Ahsoka.
I raise you, the clone troopers born from Jango Fett’s DNA, a mandalorian through and through, see a child and immediately adopt it.
