Need a warm bath but too weak to walk? Hell carry you. Very understanding and is never rude when you’re unwell. Extremely empathetic and overall very understanding.

He would sit by your bed and cut you some apples as you lay there recovering. He knows the variety of stuff you can eat is extremely limited when you're ill, you can't have any good snacks such as popcorn, or any desserts either. So he'll make you some apple bunnies to cheer you up. He'll also get you the good junk foods you like once you're better.

He’d chat with you, telling you some stuff about life, or asking about yours. And maybe even read you a book if you ask. He would also make you soup or whatever can help you during your time of feeling unwell, making stuff that even tastes good while sick- man’s is an amazing cook. Bro can probably quit devil hunting and just become a chef-

Always makes sure you take your medicine at the right time. Never once misses a time. Either that or extremely little times he has missed on giving you your medicine. Supposed to take another spoon at 3:30? He sets an alarm and doesn’t forget. Next spoon at 6:30? Same thing. Sets an alarm and doesn’t miss. Very responsible, and if you say it tastes gross he’ll make you something nice but healthy afterwards as a reward- ^^ He probably wouldn’t sleep directly touching you due to him not wanting to catch your sickness, because he’s still a devil hunter that has to stay well afterall. If you and him know each other for a bit but a long enough time he’ll most likely set a mattress next to the bed you sleep in so he can still sit next to you. Sometimes caressing your hand if it hangs down. However if you and him know each other for a very long time, or are in a very healthy official relationship I think he might sleep next to you. Not directly touching you due to the reasons stated but he’ll watch over you. Making sure your breathing is good, and making sure to have cough drops or tissues by the bedside in case you need it. And despite you being sick, he’ll still press a kiss to your forehead in affection at times.

Overall, he’s very loving and affectionate. Very sweet. And wouldn’t be rude or make you feel gross if you’re sick, which reflects off of his kind personality that goes along with it. He loves you, sick or not. And he would never say “ew” or be grossed out. He’ll make you your favorite desert, or take you out once you’re better as a reward. ^^

You’re used to worrying about people’s perception of you but you never have to worry about it around Aki. You know he always sees your intentions behind your actions and doesn’t look at you critically.

You like making a game out of it, occasionally saying your random thoughts aloud without context to see what he assumes you mean—you’re always left in awe when he’s able to put together what you were thinking.

(both of you sitting in silence, reading) “Gaaah this is so embarrassing!” “If you’re still thinking about forgetting that girl's name yesterday, it really wasn’t that bad.”

“How’d you know that’s what I was worried about?” “Could tell from the way your eyebrows were sitting” “???”

Some people will misinterpret your relationship and clarify that they asked you a question and not Aki, saying he shouldn’t speak for you. But then your burning cheek is smushed into his chest and you’re mumbling “no no what he said was right. He knows how I feel.”

Aki feels like… relief to you. The sound of his keys fumbling with the lock when he gets home, the feel of his hand on your back or shoulder—it’s always somewhere on your person when you’re together, his soft breathing on your skin when you wake up at night. It’s all a soothing balm for your burning anxiety.

In public, you’re holding onto him 100% the time. He’s like a stuffed animal or stress toy. Aki’s not opposed, it makes him feel comforted, too, to always have your arms wrapped around one of his, or even just a light grip on his shirt sleeve.

He thinks it’s funny the looks he sometimes gets though, this massive 6’4”, intimidating looking man marching into cute stores you asked him to take you to, someone like you hooked to his side.

People immediately think that he’s the cold, stoic one in the relationship and you’re the sweet, shy one—and they’re on par with the shy thing, but they never guess that the sweeter one between the two of you is Aki.

He is the most considerate man you’ve ever met, always checking up on you and taking your feelings into account when he does anything.

“I already lined up a possible excuse if you end up not wanting to go to my work thing, I know you don’t love big parties like that so we could just stay in and watch movies…”

Aki is not opposed to leaving things as early as you want, he prefers one on one time with you over most social gatherings anyways, all you have to do is give the signal.

You two have a good routine for it; you simply make eye contact with Aki and give him that look, the one that says you ran out of social battery, and he has it under control—swiftly gathering both of your things and announcing that you must regrettably leave early, adding a made-up excuse.

Then you’re both giggling on the walk to his car, patting yourselves on the back for making such a clean getaway. You may even stop at the store to buy snacks before going home and getting cozy in pajamas.

Aki isn’t shy like you—his anxiety and your anxiety are completely different ball games, but he does share an introverted nature. He can only take so much social interaction in a day before he’s ready for some peaceful alone time—well, alone time from everyone except you.

He can never get bored or tired of your presence, it’s only ever comforting. He likes it even when you’re focused on different things—maybe you’re painting your nails while he reads the newspaper, or maybe he’s typing some work report while you nap beside him on the bed, your feet touching his. You feel like family to him when you’re in these situations.

He likes how you both always manage to be touching, no matter how different your activities are. Like your hands gently playing with his hair while you watch tv and he crochets with his head in your lap. Or your arms brushing constantly while you work on different things in the kitchen. Or you answering emails on the couch with Aki on the floor in front of you, his head between your legs while he files his taxes—that’s Aki’s favorite position to lounge in.

He loves the weight of your thighs around his head, squeezing him subconsciously when you get distracted.

When you get really overwhelmed or anxious, Aki can immediately tell and he is to the rescue.

Squeezing your hands between his bigger ones, looking into your eyes and reminding you that he’s here, guiding you through deep breaths. He’s not scared to excuse you both from any situation under the guise of a smoke break, then just holding you close when you're alone and pointing out how good you’re doing. Pointing out that later today you’ll both get to chill in bed watching cartoons or something. It’ll be okay! Aki always makes sure of that.

– You’re CEO of a multimillion-dollar company at just 25. You were cold and calculated but fair and kind. After all, you didn’t get to where you were by playing nice and keeping your mouth shut. All noises would cease once your heels clicked throughout the office. You were just as intimidating to the public eye as the secretary you hired. That’s just one of the reasons why Aki chose to work with you in the first place.

– However, as similar as you and Aki were, you guys butted heads ALL. THE. TIME. It was to the point where it drove some of the other employees crazy with how much the two of you would argue over such trivial matters. Of course, it didn’t help that none of you were willing to ever lose an argument because of your stubbornness.

– Whatever idea you had, Aki seemed to have the opposite, and whatever opinion he had, you disagreed. So there would just be constant bickering from your private office because not a day goes by that you weren’t at each other’s throats. There were moments when the fights would get so bad that none of you would talk to each other for days, only passive-aggressively passing notes when you needed something.

– When asked why Aki still worked for you even though all you guys seemingly do is argue, he’d nonchalantly shrug and reply, “It pays well enough, I guess.” And when someone would ask why you still haven’t fired him, you’d sigh and say, “He gets the job done.”

– The employees at your company shipped you guys together despite the yelling and words thrown around the office because they saw how you guys would make it up to each other in the days that followed.

– Aki would go out of his way to buy your favorite coffee and pastry first thing in the morning, having it ready and piping hot on your desk when you came in because he knew that you had stayed up the previous night to finish a business deal. He’d replace the withering flowers in your office with your favorite ones that you’d always buy in the floral shop around the corner. Aki would wordlessly place a homemade lunch on your desk when the afternoon came because he knew that you wouldn’t have time to eat today. He’d wait for you when everyone else had gone home because Aki didn’t want you riding the train when it was so late. These were only a few ways he’d apologize to you.

– You would buy Aki’s coffee mid-day because you knew the fatigue of running errands weighed down on him, and he needed a quick energizer. Then, at lunchtime, when he’s out with Denji and Himeno, you’d stop by the dry cleaners with his suit jacket in hand that was left on his chair, wanting the clothing to be crisp when he returned. Finally, once Aki has dropped you off at your apartment late in the night, you’d reach over to where his hand rests on the gear shift, offering a slight squeeze and a soft smile; you told him to drive safe and text you when he gets home. These were only a few ways you’d apologize to him.

– However, there were days when the two of you would bring each other coffee simultaneously. You’d both stare at the piping hot cup in the other’s hand before reaching out and wordlessly exchanging it. The tip of your fingers would brush together, sending an electrifying tingle down your spine that made you quickly turn away to hide the heat rising in your cheeks. You appreciated how calloused and rough Aki’s hands felt, hardened by years of hard work to get to where he is now. Aki gently smiled because an indescribable feeling bloomed inside his chest when you brushed his hands. He didn’t know what it was; he just knew he liked it. Aki appreciated how soft and supple your hands felt, despite the blood, sweat, and tears you had put into building this company.

– As you and Aki made your way to your respective desks, you couldn’t help but push this feeling into the back of your mind because it was supposed to be nothing… right?
