I really like my eyes. I think they’re my best feature.

My writing? I like that I write what I want to. I like that it’s cathartic for me to get all the feelings out in the paper. Whether they be disguised trauma or just something I’d love to experience.

❌ What's a trope you will never write?

Pregnancy. ABO. Anything shifting wise. I’ll probably just stay the slut that I am for enemies or indifference to lovers, college, falling in love, slow burn. But who knows. Maybe I’ll branch out! Just never those three.

💖 What made you start writing?

The fact that I felt like I couldn’t. I’m very much a person who either will accept I can’t do something. Or prove myself wrong and work till I can.

The best example for this I have is before I got into my relationship, I’d never dated in my life. And all my friends were getting tinder as a joke. But for me the idea of tinder gave me so much anxiety that my stomach would twist and I’d feel light headed. I hated the power an app had over me so I got it and set up a profile. I was fine after that.

🍷 Do you drink and write?

Nope

I don’t consume any forms of addictive substances aside from caffeine and sugar.

My dad and his entire side of the family have very bad addiction issues and from the way I consume my current vices (chocolate, chips, sugar) I know that I would very likely have the same problem. So I just don’t.

I’ve never had a drop of alcohol, a puff of a cigarette/vape/bong/etc or done any form or drug in my life and I intend on keeping it that way.

ok this is such a weird thing to vent about but this year i’m realizing that i actually.. don’t like my best friend that much. she’s controlling and emotionally exhausting to be around..... but it’s my senior year of high school and i don’t want to just drop her. do you have any advice?

It’s not weird at all! That’s a really tough situation to be in. I’m so sorry you’re going though this!

Okay, so as someone who’s been in senior year and remembers EXACTLY how it feels and how much things are already changing and how many things you have to juggle both emotionally and academically and outside of school, there is merit to telling you to just stick it out for one more school year and then drift apart after school ends, because then you hopefully can avoid a painful and possibly messy confrontation and also avoid all the judginess that some people in high school like raining down on people for whatever reason, because that just sucks.

But as someone who is thankfully out of high school, and has really nice 20/20 hindsight about how senior year is and how things are AFTER senior year, and a better understanding of healthy and unhealthy relationships and the effects they have on people, the HEALTHIEST thing you can do for yourself is to break ties with her, or at the very least put personal barriers up and establish some distance between the two of you. Step one is communicating very very politely but clearly what issues you have with her, because sometimes people just don’t realize that they’re creating problems. She might apologize and really work with you to make sure things get better. But most often in situations like this, once you realize that someone is draining and exhausting and controlling, it’s not very possible for you to fix, nor is it your job to. Your options at that point, if she doesn’t want to work to make things work out for you both, are to either a) stick it out in a pretty strained friendship that will be a drain on you during an already-intense transition year of your life, but not rock the boat too much which can be a scary prospect, or b) you rip off the band aid, cut ties with her, take care of yourself emotionally, hopefully find more support from other, healthier friends, and focus on your own self and needs during an important but ultimately not-socially critical year of your life. 

It’s going to be painful for you either way, and I wish I had a way to make that easier. I’m sorry. It’s a sucky situation to be in. But I promise that college or workforce life after college is just...it’s SO different from high school. In GOOD ways. Like yeah there’s more responsibility and some new kinds of stress but holy smokes friend, I promise you that the social structures??? SO MUCH BETTER. People all get a fresh start. You get to reinvent yourself. Few, if any people, know anything about you. You can work on new aspects of yourself, toss old ones, shift to new friend groups or still keep in touch with old ones if you want. Everyone grows and changes more and more and it’s really, really freeing. Senior year of high school is really hard because there’s so many lasts and so many goodbyes, and you’re so close to being done but in the meantime you’re still stuck in the social structure of high school, and you don’t really KNOW what it will be like afterwards. But it’s BETTER, and you’re going to do wonderfully. And no matter what you choose to do with your best friend, I really want you to make sure that you set aside time regularly this year to focus on your own needs and take care of yourself, because you need and deserve it. You’ll find new friends and find new interests and find new sides of yourself, this year and from now on. It’s going to get easier and it’s going to get better. I promise. No matter what you ultimately decide to do, go with what your heart wants and what makes you feel more relieved. It’s going to be okay.

Kitty’s friendliness is just so sweet to me like I love that after a few episodes Alison accepts Kitty as a good friend but like before that when Kitty wants a sleepover which Alison basically denies her, I’m like O.o Kitty pls be my best friend ily!!

Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & Géza Anda

I wanted to include at least a little bit of music from each of the ghosts time frame so I decided on a little bit of Mozart for Kitty - who, given when she lived and the familial culture at the time, probably played an instrument with piano being entirely probable.

Wildest Dreams - Duomo

I wanted to include at least one Bridgerton song for Kitty because I mean it’s obvious how influential issues brought up in the show would be on Kitty’s life. She was alive just before Bridgerton is set (1813 - Kitty died in the late 1700s) so I think she’d appreciate the modern song with a twist, and obviously she’d love the all the dances and everything.

Walking On Sunshine - Katrina & The Waves

An easy choice. I mean, it’s literally the go to song for people who are incredibly happy and optimistic. I didn’t want to include tons of overly happy songs for Kitty because I find her overwhelming happiness to be tinged with such sadness — she’s positive to a fault and it’s so sad what she went through during her life but yeah it’s a nice song for her.

Forever Young - Alphaville

I read somewhere that Kitty is canonically a teenager - I don’t know if that’s true so if someone could enlighten me that would be really great. But yeah is Kitty the youngest ghosts, surely it’s her or Thomas right? Anyway, Kitty will be forever young and I find that a weird concept?? That’s my in depth analysis XD

Enter One - Sol Seppy

I have so so so so so so so so much love for this song I think it’s just gorgeous. Okay but like assuming Kitty grew up at Button House (or I assume Higham House at the time) then she would’ve grown up literally from a little kid in front of some of the other ghosts (Robin, Humphrey, Mary and Annie) so like they witnessed whatever trauma and/or neglect Kitty went through. Ages ago I read someone talking about the ghosts watching her grow up and then taking care of her for the first time after she died (I can’t find the post) so like this verse: “To a friend, A sister in need, Who is not alone, And they are surrounding her, And they will enfold her outstretched hand, In our love” is just so beautiful for that moment when they finally get to take her away from her family which I love and adore and uhhhhh it’s so good, it’s such a good song.

Shake It Off - Taylor Swift

Okay from me legit crying over Kitty’s life and emotional stuff to just being like yeah this is a happy song and just something to dance to!!

Magnificent (She Says) - Elbow

This song just has gorgeous vibes and given that Kitty has just gorgeous vibes as well it was impossible for me not to include it.

Good Day - The Dresden Dolls

Someone suggested The Dresden Dolls for Kitty on my previous music post and I’d never heard of them before I’m a bit in love now… like the dark cabaret style and creepy sorta vocals and piano are just <3 <3 Like damn! And yeah I think this song is Kitty-like cause like when Alison was kinda ignoring her in ALN she got really upset as if this was a regular occurrence in her life as well like her sister or maybe her parents ignoring her in favour of her sister maybe??

Optimistic - Radiohead

“And remember: as long as you try your best.” I think that line is probably the moment of Kitty’s “personality introduction” so I kinda had to include something similar.

Devil Town - Cavetown

Okay I know this song is about parental divorce but I kinda like to apply it a bit more widely to broken families and dysfunctional households which Kitty obviously experienced. I think also the line “nevermind, I’ll settle for two birthdays” shows a kind of optimism in the face of family trauma and the acceptance that bad things often have to be spun in a positive light to cope with it.

growing up is getting old - VICTORIA

Kitty angst, Kitty angst, Kitty angst!!! After the episode descriptions we got today I am really really hoping for much more of a deep dive into Kitty’s emotions. I just want to know more about her life, and I just want the other ghosts to be protective and loving of her O.O

Stacking Chairs - Middle Kids

Kitty’s urge to be around Alison and do what’s best for her is just what I love more than anything. I really love that scene she has with the Captain where he’s like “you one Alison?” And “You want what’s best for her” like Cap/Kitty solidarity is what I live for (more to come in season 3????)

Teenage Dream - Katy Perry

I feel like with Alison arriving at the house Kitty finally has the opportunity to be a young woman again?? If that makes sense. Cause she’s been around generally older and predominantly male ghosts for a long time which is why I think she’s fixated on Alison so much because it’s the first time in centuries that she’s been around someone with similar interests etc as her. So yeah, like asking for the sleepover and wanting to talk about boys and stuff gives me Teenage Dream vibes.

In One Ear - Cage The Elephant

Like I said I didn’t want Kitty’s playlist to all be soft and sweet cause I feel like that’s kinda reducing everything about her into a little soft ball of syrup so yeah this song is sick and it’s basically about not caring what others say about you but yeah I like it!!

Would You Be So Kind - dodie

I had to include something dodie cause she’s just got that soft kind vibe. I don’t love many of her songs, it’s not really my style, but this (and In The Middle) are pretty good. Also I don’t think Kitty has much of a distinction between platonic and romantic love (same Kitty) and therefore this song is pretty fitting.

Amazing Grace - Judy Collins

If I could include Kitty’s ‘Amazing Kitty’, I definitely would cause that whole scene is just really funny. But like I said, I’m trying to include some music from when they would have lived and Amazing Grace is from the 1770s which is just when Kitty would’ve been born.

Happy - Pharrell Williams

An obvious choice but I wanted to talk about this a touch. My irl friend hates Kitty so much because she say she can’t stand people who are always happy and like infectiously positive all the time and literally every time Kitty is on screen she starts complaining and I find it so bizarre and like I’ve called her out a number of times like stfu but it’s constant. Like I find Kitty’s happiness kinda melancholy cause like she has so much to be sad about like her family and sister and stuff and I think learning more about in her life will just extend quite how sad her overt happiness actually is.

We’re Going to Be Friends - The White Stripes

Ngl I had no idea this was by The White Stripes before searching it up but apparently it is. It’s about like childhood friendship and nostalgia which I think is very right for Kitty as she works to try and make Alison her best friend after not having one during her life (and therefore relying on Florence the statue).

Girls Just Want to Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper

This song just gives me major girly sleepover vibes which I think is quite fitting. I find it interesting that as soon as Alison can see the ghosts (and accepts that she can see them) the first thing Kitty asks of Alison is to have a sleepover, maybe she sees that as the true mark of friendship? Perhaps her sister was always having sleepovers with her friends and Kitty wanted to join? I want to know Kitty’s backstory more than anyones, I think she’s fascinating!!

I usually consider 2014-15 one year tbh. But if I HAD to pick 14 as a separate year...

2014: “I’ll remember that for when I stop being gay.” Because that sentence literally changed Robert’s life. (I’m also not an affair shipper / first kiss lover either so...)

2015: eh... Not an affair lover. Um... Probably Aaron standing over Robert when he got shot, or any of Aaron’s really emotional revelations around that time “I’d still have him back in a shot.” etc. But yeah. Not my year.

2016: April reunion kiss. It’s SO underrated, probably because of the really big stuff we did get later on. It was also my first “oh shit, I’m really far gone” moment because I literally couldn’t sleep that night.

2017: I struggle here. I’m not a wedding 1.0 fan, I don’t think I’ve watched almost all of 2017 more than once. Maybe the scrapyard scene right after Seb was born between robron. But very slim pickings tbh. Yeah, this is why I struggled in real time.

2018: The whole gorgeous lot. Okay, wedding 2.0. Literally PERFECT. The only downside was robbing us of a golden Maxine hour, rather than sticking it in one half an hour episode. But, sweet sweet perfection.

2019: Probably robrons last scene. I think the acting was some of Ryan’s best, and Danny’s heart was breaking along with ours. With the montage of it all together... it was gorgeous.

The Anti-list started as a way for me to keep track of the anti-shipping posts I kept seeing being reblogged all over my dash. Since I went public with it, I’ve been re-editing the list and being more selective about who I automatically add to it. The below users were added to the list because instead of ignoring the discourse and scrolling past (or even just reblogging without a comment), they felt it necessary to jump on the anti-shipping bandwagon and add “don’t ship this” and/or “get out of the fandom”-esque comments, or they made a post that was hostile and/or insulting towards Remrom or its shippers. This is not a complete list, because not even I can keep track of the entire fandom, but it gives the reader some context into the scale of the discourse. While these users may not have expressly requested pro-shippers to stay away, it is a reasonable assumption that we should keep our distance - they have made it clear that they don’t want us on their blog and/or in this fandom.

I love post Katies death affair kill me. I didnt want Robert to discover real love, self awareness and suddenly change or any of the romantic easy shit most shippers want. I well liked the ILYs, the angst, the fights, the hate, the rare solf moments, the lodge, the denial... well pretty much all of it. The affair reveal, the shooting... ok i'll stop now

Oh same I loved the angst and the difficultness (?) of it all!! And I agree that Robert just deciding to give real love a chance and choose Aaron and declare his love for him would’ve actually been less interesting in the end and just couldn’t have really worked here!

It’s just that post-Katie everything becomes darker and more ambiguous and no matter how much you need the angst you also need some confirmation that there are real feelings here and that there’s something to root for yk? And it was just a lot messier, Aaron’s mental health is taking a nosedive, Robert is using him to get away with Katie’s.. manslaughter, there are a lot less Robron scenes and when there are they’re fighting, Robert is with Chrissie a lot more (not a fan), there’s the Donny stuff etc etc.. What’s real and what’s manipulation was sometimes hard to decipher because there were other stakes to take into account (like Rob’s first ily, the never-ending debate haha)

But it was also when everything got more serious feelings-wise and we got the iconic lay-by fight, HF week, Aaron in the woods etc.. so.. hmm

My dad doesn’t appreciate the amount of effort I put into school, and that I can’t work around the house because I’m completing assignments. He doesn’t understand my need for success in school because he never pursued education, while I’m in extremely rigorous classes. hmmmm this kind of thing is always tough, bc it comes down to a fundamental difference in understanding and experiences? is there something perhaps you could compare it to that your dad might understand better (ie does he have a job that has comparable projects/deadlines/etc)? or could he benefit from actually seeing what you’re doing or how certain things take a lot of time, or perhaps having it explained to him what you’re going to school for (ie what your education will help you with, if there’s a specific field you’d like to get into after school?)

the other thing it might come down to is that he feels insecure? and i’m not saying it in a superior kind of way but it’s really easy, esp with education, to feel like someone who’s studied more/for longer/gotten a higher degree of education is trying to ‘show off’ or claim to be better in some way. so it’s possible (although childish) that your dad might be jealous/feel like you’re dangling your education over him, or like you’re trying to imply you’re better than he is? keep in mind i’m not saying that you are doing that, but just that he might be perceiving it that way (perhaps unintentionally)

the other thought is perhaps is there a way to compromise? like maybe talk it out with him and explain that what you’re doing is really challenging for you (maybe show him what you’re doing) and requires a lot of your time, but perhaps are there some things you might still be able to make time to help out with? or maybe you can help, but just less frequently?

i think the key is communication and empathy, trying to put yourself in his shoes and see if you can understand where he’s coming from so that you can better address what’s concerning him. i feel like ultimately, at the end of the day, it’s just misunderstanding each other and i hope you’re able to work things out!

aight katie: royal au + 24 hours to live, ignoct - go! :3c

First of all,Dallie, this is rude. Second, ty ily.

So in a royal au,Ignis is the prince. But the 24 hours to live isn’t magical or anything it’s capture.The Nifs have captured Noctis and put a 24-hour mark over his head unless Ignisturns over the Crystal. This ransom goes to Ignis alone because the king andcouncil wouldn’t hand them that power for just Noct. But they also don’t knowthat Ignis is in love with him (spoiler: Noct doesn’t know either, no one doesexcept the Nifs because they have Le Spy – it’s Loqi) and not his betrothed(which is Aranea because in this fateswap she is the Oracle). Ravus is veryagainst this, and obviously does not understand, because he and Noct neverreally liked each other all that much anyway.

“The life of one Lucian is notworth the lives of all,” Ravus insists, planting his hands on Ignis’s desk.

Ignis lifts his head from wherehe’s buried it against his fists, and pulls his arms back into his lap. Helooks up at his shield, whose purpose is the protection of the prince, futureking, and friend. Ravus means well, even though he and Noctis never saw eye toeye. But he doesn’t know,yet Niflheim does. Ignis sighs and stands, moving around the desk, ransom notein one hand as the other reaches up to grasp Ravus’s shoulder. Ravus standsstraight, meeting his gaze.

“I won’t sacrifice him.” ToIgnis, this is the obvious truth. Ravus begins to reply but Ignis interruptshim calmly, “I know my duty, Ravus. I know what this means. But Noct…” Hetrails off, unable to find the words to describe this feeling. “I can’t. I won’t.”

So they rally –Luna was the last to see him, Crowe knows her way around the city better thananyone, Nyx is the fastest, and Libertus knows the most people. I don’t know howthey would track their way to Noctis, probably by finding out Loqi has beenspying on them.

Rage boils under Ignis’s skinas Loqi fights against his bonds. “Why him?”Ignis asks from behind Ravus, who stands between them.

Loqi stops and looks up at him,the smirk on his face dripping with hatred. “You know why,” he sneers.

He does. He feels fingers diginto his forearm as he flinches forward – likely Luna – and he clenches hishands into fists, itching to pull his daggers from the armiger, drag the bladesslowly across Loqi’s skin until he reveals Noctis’s location.

“How did you know?”

“Ignis,” Ravus interrupts him sharply,but the damage is done.

“So, it’s true?” Loqi laughs,no longer making any effort to struggle. “Fool.”

Ignis knows that too.

Eventually they getto Noct – probs getting the information from Loqi in some way, maybe lettingIgnis release a bit of that rage or it happens off screen with one of his Squadgetting it from Loqi with him out of the room. Noct’s obviously beentortured/beaten/etc. He’s been in Niflheim custody for more than a day and theyare Not Nice.

“You came for me,” Noctismurmurs, his voice garbled and barely audible. His jaw is purple and his cheekis swollen, one of his eyes is bloodshot. Ignis’s heart leaps and he’s tearingat the ropes around Noct’s wrists.

I did this, hethinks, frantic, but he doesn’t say it.

“I’ve got you, Noct,” hewhispers. “I’m here.”

“The… Crystal,” Noct manages.

“Don’t worry,” Ignis insists,freeing Noctis’s wrists and moving to unbind his legs. “Everything is alright,now. I am going to get you out of here.”

“I’m sorry.” It’s quiet andIgnis almost doesn’t hear him. But it’s said so softly and genuinely that guiltmakes bile rise to the back of Ignis’s throat.

This is not the time or placefor him to argue. He unties Noctis’s ankles and moves back up, gently cradlingNoct’s neck with both hands. “I’ve got you,” he repeats when blue eyes finallylook up at him.

Eyelids fluttering, Noctis’sconsciousness starts to fade. “You’ve got me,” he agrees, letting Ignis catchhim as he falls.

So uh yeah. This got longer than it was originally, but Igot really into it. I might turn this into a one-shot, we’ll see. But yeah thiswas fun.

25: Do you have a favorite type of art style? (eg: soft looking, no to little color, sketches, crisp and clean, minimalist, pixel art etc.)

so. for art, it really kind of depends on the context. like if i were to get a tattoo, i prefer black ink, fine line, kind of rough around the edges sketches. if i were to go to a classical art museum, i’d head straight for the impressionists. if i were to go to a modern art museum, i’d stay away from andy warhol. if you want to know what my favorite style is as an “artist” it’s uhhhhh whatever makes what i’m trying to create discernible ;)

32: Do you like watching holiday movies?

like the cheesy hallmark style holiday romances? i used to looove them. it was all i’d watch for most of december. but i’ve kind of grown a little sick of hallmark’s heteronormative, white, christmas-only bullshit. until i see some gay, poc, and/or jewish main characters, i’m boycotting.

But I don’t even deal with the computer at all so i couldn’t even do anything about it if I wanted and I told her that! So I decided to stop replying to her fb messages and it’s been a good decision! And the reason I decided to straight up stop replying was once she came in person and was rudely like why don’t you bring your own computer? Which made me soooo mad bc I’m not gonna take my nice laptop to a gym and have to transport it etc! And also I’m not gonna spend any of my own money/resources on a work thing for a job that doesn’t pay enough!

Dang that was a huge rant lmao anywaysss OMITB! I really hope we get more Tina fey content in season 2 I love her so much and think she’s hilarious! And I hope the 2nd season is as good! I’m slightly worried that for some shows that are this good the second season often gets really bad

Molly/Jude is more like she’s finally embracing the life she thought she never wanted, until she realizes that she can never forget the love she has for Sherlock. Can she be Jude & love him as well? Can Sherlock accept her true reality, or does he only love her as Molly & not Jude. Throw in a nice mystery/thriller plot too! Oh yeah Mycroft, who knew Molly is Jude from the beginning but decided to let Sherlock figure it out on his own, is determined to stop this union at all cost. Pls include all the girls & guys in Clique, especially Holly since she’s a badass off to take down Jude and her “girls” no matter what! Have you had sex? – After Euros asked that I somehow thought “Molly??” (as Sherlock says, Irene only texts him, he doesn’t reply).   Later it seems that Euros is the only one who ever has noticed that Molly causes some emotions in him.  So my theory is that something happened between Molly and Sherlock, it happened pretty recently, somehow (stressful night and they talked or they had some drinks and somehow one thing led to another) they ended up having sex; but Sherlock wasn’t good at dealing with it after or something urgent came along and he didn’t really consider Molly’s emotions, he ran off right after or in the morning, and that could be the reason why Molly didn’t pick up the phone first and was in a bad mood during the “ILY scene”.  What happened between them recently is the reason why Molly is a bit rude to Sherlock when he calls, and the reason why she gets so emotional and raw so easily over the I Love You thing, and why she so easily tells him to say it first.  Well, then when Sherlock says “I love you” he finally realizes fully that he really does love her too, and that he is capable of loving that way, and finally sees how easy it could be and what he could lose.  Then after this whole thing he goes to talk to Molly and explain things to her.  -  @lullikiish

Complete me as a person. — Scene that popped into my mind.  Irene has been texting Sherlock again, Sherlock in the end almost agrees to meet her for dinner, but as he’s walking out of his flat while Molly is there looking after Rosie he sees Molly in kind of slo-mo in the golden evening sun holding Rosie and being all sweet.  Maybe already something a bit has happened before between them, some flirting, etc.  The talk with John about a relationship completing him as a person is on the back of his mind.  He walks out, but midway down the stairs while taking his phone out (symbolically in darkness compared to that evening sun) he realizes that he misses that warmth and Molly, and realizes that is what completes him.  He takes out his phone and texts he’s not coming and then goes back upstairs.  Sees Molly all adorable and confused/surprised in this beautiful light and maybe goes to kiss her, etc.  -   @lullikiish

Or not) Molly/Janine cat fight for Janine hitting on SH moments.  Dancing, so much Sherlolly dancing (and no leaving early).   Probably no Shezza (Shezzer?)—which, hmm, is a shame (But maybe they’ve their own not-being-on-a-sex-holiday-but-sexing-a-lot time).  A real proposal to Molly.  Molly at family Christmas, maybe even a Christmas wedding.  Solving CAM without the threat of exile sharpens Sherlock’s deductive abilities.   No Norbury as Molly’s already expecting their first offspring, so Sherlock doesn’t taunt needlessly.  Mary as the Sherlolly baby godmother as she’s alive!  Culverton Smith is taken down by the duo of Mary and Molly while the latter gives birth there (because the ladies are awesome, plus Mrs H tackles him down).  John is so impressed he doesn’t look at any other women.  Molly’s big heart brings Eurus from her metaphoric plane the moment she steps into 221B, plus baby Holmes wins her heart too.  The Holmes family reconciliation and Eurus is in therapy instead of being a multi-killer.  Baker Street Boys Team continues while Baker Street Girls Team gives them a run for their money.  Mycroft asks Lady Smallwood out himself to her astonishment and internal squealing.  Mummy Holmes gets more grandkids than she could’ve imagined.  And basically, everyone walks happily into the sunset.  The End.  Please note, some things can obviously be modified.  -  @mychakk  *

After getting an earful from Molly, he cancels the security detail. Molly promptly leaves town without a word to anyone, leaving Sherlock to sweat. Is she okay? Most likely she is on a beach sipping Margaritas, but maybe she’s in trouble. He would like to make amends but first he as to find her. How Sherlock will react and … how will he convince Rosie that Molly is for him and not for John. I’m imagining some angst in the middle because the silly man thinks this is a wonderful idea: Rosie gets a mummy and Molly gets a family.
