Boggles my mind when I see people who are super into one of the Holy Trinity of Problematique Star Wars Ships—any clone ship, Rexsoka, and Obikin (and usually any master/padawan)—with DNIs or similar comments aimed at the other two parts of the trinity.
Like wow, how do they not see that they're treating other fans the same ways antis most assuredly treat them? 🤡

Me the crotchety old 25 nearly 26 year old of the fandom that's been here since 2011 with the homophobic fans right now
Get your grubby little homophobic Christian fingers off of my Lego series,*beats with newspapers*
Also you guys really would not have lasted at all with the old fandom we had at least 90% gay ships in this fandom, originally bruiseshipping was the most popular captained by Blakkycat followed by Greenflame I think it was Maypong that captained that ship,
The straights would've definitely lost their shit at Ronya because that too was popular and you're looking at one half of the little shits that got fed up of the toxicity that was known as the Jaya and Colya fans and created the ship to flee
which some of you guys must be those old fans because you're acting ALOT like they did,
And for a time it became super popular due to the factor everybody was looking to escape that toxicity they all fled to me and Blakkycats ship sto get away,
The more you struggle and try to back talk lostshipping the more it's just going to become popular I've seen it before and it's happening again so I would just back off, unless you want to continue to be the laughing stock in which be my guest but I tried to tell you,
Sincerely someone who's been here since the dawn of this show, and knows how this fandom runs since I helped contribute to it for over 13 years

Do not let the antishippers find the Got or House of the Dragon fandom cause they'll cry
Or Labyrinth, or Flowers in the Attic, or any one of Stephen King's books. It's almost as if the wider public understands that fiction can be both fucked up and entertaining without the need for a moral lesson following after, or that it's an indictment that you're going to partake in the things you read about.
Antis are so far removed from reality, and they have to remain that way in order to not have their beliefs constantly challenged and torn apart.

Ok, I'm gonna be REAL controversial for a second:
Saying "incest and underage fics are ok because it's usually CSA survivors recontextualizing/processing their own experience" is just purity culture lite. It's like saying "Birth control should be legal because some people use it for non-birth control related purposes" or "abortion needs to be legal because women can die without it."
Yes, these are TRUE and IMPORTANT things. But kind of... not the point?
Kind of giving way to the antis, the puritanical right, the misogynists who just want to control women (because you KNOW they aren't thinking about trans men or nonbinary people when they legislate abortion).
Lemme see if I can explain: by saying "look at this VALID and IMPORTANT reason someone might have for doing the thing you don't like," you are saying that there are invalid reasons for it. That some people shouldn't do it.
You are saying that it is objectively wrong, and that exceptions must be made for it to be okay. And putting aside the fact that NO ONE should have to disclose their personal trauma for judgement, that no one should have to disclose their personal medical history to a judge or legislator before receiving treatment... you are conceding the point.
I refuse to concede anything on this.
I like fucked up fic, I like being able to fuck without getting pregnant, I like that if my birth control fails I can still make a choice about whether or not I want to be pregnant and give birth. I WILL NOT go into my reasons on ANY of this. Because YOU do not have a right to that information, and I am also protecting the privacy of everyone else who does not want to share their reasons.

"Fiction affects reality, except!-"
Has anyone noticed every example Antis use to claim fiction can cause sex crimes IRL (fiction affects reality) are all media they think caused real-world murder and violence (Jaws/Slenderman/Birth of a Nation) but yet they say "Violence & murder in media is okay because people know it's bad!"
For YEARS, antis have based their entire "movement"s argument on examples of media supposedly causing real-world (non-sexual) violence only to argue that "no that type of violence is okay" without realizing it. The core examples they swear by and parrot day in and day out while defending violence don't even have sexual violence, or incest, or pedophilia, and those things if ever mentioned in any way are especially not "~*~*GLORIFIED*~*~" in the examples.
Just thought that was Interesting!
Grey star for effort but missing the mark!

"What you consume in fiction defines who you are."
If that were true you would’ve actually internalized the lessons from the Children’s media you watch and learn to actually be decent people.

I hate when antis screenshot a proshipper, get like 6K+ likes on it, and then turn around and say "The proshipper sent their followers at me! They're harassing me. I'm just a minor!!!" As if...they didn't start trying to harass the proshipper first? Also pretty sure they didn't even have "Minor" on their bio until proshippers called them out for being idiotic. Stop playing victim, you stupid annoying brats.

"Antis' foundation is the belief that fiction affects reality, in that any problematic behaviors or topics in media, fictitious or not, will cause people to normalize those behaviors, resulting in people (specifically minors) thinking that such actions are acceptable in real life. This is a common argument used by conservative groups to enact queer censorship, who argue that children who see LGBTQIA+ characters in television or books will "turn gay" (Bollinger 2019), so the sanitization of all adult fan spaces is therefore required to protect minors who could potentially encounter problematic sexual content (BrazyDay 2019)....
Antis attempt to glorify their ideology by rebranding it as antipedophilia and anti-incest, but it is actually a loose ideology of disinformation, virtue signaling, and legitimate abuse. Similar to the QAnon cult phenomena, which began in 2017, anti dogma is designed to promote paranoia and play off people's fears and emotions to spread disinformation. They band together to perform this function, forming what might be called a cult, a term that has been defined as a group having a "great devotion to a…movement". However, what truly marks a cult is the control attempted over behavior and thought. Participants in anti circles perpetuate a climate of fear, shame, and trauma in fan spaces. The most common targets of such abuse are women, people of color, teens, abuse survivors, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Fans who are already marginalized are further deprived of safety, anonymity, outlets for growth, self-expression, and relationships. It is therefore vital that we closely monitor hate speech in fan spaces and study these behaviors. Our failure to do so may open doors for bigotry, violence, and disinformation."
From The cult structure of the American anti which was a fascinating read and genuinely worth going through if you're in fannish spaces.

An explanation of the burden of proof fallacy.
This is how it should be when debating.
For those who say...
"Fiction effects reality on a 1:1 scale."
"Consuming ____ leads to ____."
"If you consume/like ____, you're a pedophile."
...it is YOUR responsibility to prove that claim.

"But proshipping and comship content can be used to groom minors!!" You know what was used to groom me? A video game about animals. So should we ban video games? No. Everything can be used to groom someone, but it's not a reason to ban it. This is groomers fault, not a media they used.

In case it wasn't clear:
Yes. Even as a proshipper, I firmly believe every single person creating content that has the potential to be unpleasant, triggering or upsetting should be responsible for making sure it can't be seen as much as they have the right to spaces where it can be seen.
It is your personal choice not to bother with things like tags or applying content markers.
But then you lose the right to be angry or upset when people complain about being exposed to your content with limited or no ways to avoid it.
Again. The Salmon Analogy.
You don't have to eat the salmon.
But its in both our best interests for me to be blatant about which dishes contain salmon specifically so you don't eat the salmon.
(And its in everyone's best interests to start bullying websites and services into giving us better tools to make sure this symbiotic relationship works.)

Someone who worked as a cybercrime analyst catching actual pedophiles and sex offenders listed the number of times a vocal Anti has been outed as a pedophile, rapist, sexual harasser, etc.
I remember seeing maybe a dozen examples from my time on the internet and coulld only remember about 3-4 off the top of my head.
The document lists 80.
80 ANTIS WHO ARE PEDOPHILES/SEX CRIMINALS/RAPISTS.
80.
If you are an anti you are in more danger of being groomed or exposed to sexual predators who are also antis.

Antis talk about groomers a lot (as they should! Online grooming is a serious issue.)
But I rarely see young antis practicing internet safety that helps them avoid groomers. Internet security is my livelihood, so it really worries me.
Here are some tips to avoid groomers on the internet.
First off "Groomers DNI" or "Adults DNI" doesn't help. You are welcome to keep it in your DNI if you want, but the sort of people that respect that DNI are the sort of people that likely don't pose a threat to you anyway.
Never say your age. I'm serious. "Teenager" is as specific as you can get. "But then, how do you make friends your own age online?" you start talking to people, and you get an estimate about their age.
Never put your face online either. Not only can groomers and stalkers use it, your future boss might find it and link you back to this social media account.
Be vague about your location. If I know your timezone, and you tell me about the weather, I have a pretty good idea of where you live. Hell, actively lie about your timezone/location.
This is a helpful skill to learn, because some (not all, but enough that you need to be careful) of the people that have "15 y/o, above 18 DNI" are actually grown ass adults that will eventually coerce you into doing shit you aren't comfortable with.
If a place happens to be mostly teens, you are a-okay. If a place explicitly bans adults, run.
If someone is giving you a bad vibe for any reason, block them. "But give people the benefit of the doubt!" No. Not on the internet. I give a bad vibe? Prepare the block. Your intuition is a huge tool to keep you safe, don't doubt it.
Don't post pictures you took online. It isn't the content of the photo you should worry about, it's the data that comes with it. Most photos have locations attached.
Do mention parents/supportive adults in your life that care about you. If none exist, make some up. If it seems like you talk about your internet friends, you don't look like an easy target.
Say no to your internet friends on occasion. Watch their reactions. If someone begins to act controlling, thats a red flag.
