I know I know this is a tired comparison but I was rewatching Skypiea and recognized this pose so I pulled up the pose from fishman island …
I miss her pretimeskip design so much. I’ve grown to enjoy her post timeskip design but I can’t deny I miss her short hair and fun t-shirt’s. Her body had cartoony proportions but in a way that was cute and more of a fun style choice rather than exaggerated fan service. Also I noticed some little differences- like how even her pants were more practical with a higher waist
Idk. Just a ramble about how I miss her old style. Her short hairstyle I miss dearly .. especially since she often put it in cute ponytails and pigtails it was just a lot more unique

A thing about Eddie’s hair @bayouteche told me to post now
(Warning for mentions of Eddie’s mom dying)
When Eddie’s nine, he tells his mom he doesn’t want her to cut his hair anymore. He wants to be like his dad who hasn’t had a haircut since before Eddie was born. His dad is so cool. He has a motorbike and he’s never done what anyone thinks he should and he can start their car even when they’ve lost their keys. He’s going to show Eddie how to do it one day.
When Eddie’s twelve he buzzes his hair. He doesn’t want to be anything like his dad. His dad is a loser. He left Eddie. He let himself get caught and he left Eddie. And he wishes it was his dad, not his mom, who—
Eddie lives with his uncle Wayne, now. His uncle Wayne is cool. He used to drive trucks and he’d always bring Eddie a souvenir when he’d visit, but now he lives with Eddie in their trailer. It’s better than living with his dad. His dad was always drunk or crying or both.
Eddie uses the clippers his uncle keeps in the bathroom to do his hair a week after he moves in. His uncle doesn’t say anything when Eddie comes out with no hair, just silently guides him back into the bathroom and tidies up the patches Eddie didn’t get right.
They visit Eddie’s dad in jail and the moment his eyes land on Eddie they go glassy.
“You cut your hair,” he says, and Eddie stays silent. “You had your mom’s hair,” his dad adds, voice cracking, tears pooling.
Eddie balls his hands into fists. He can’t believe his dad is crying. He’s the one who left. Eddie’s throat tightens and his eyes prickle but he’s not going to cry. Not here, not now.
At home, Eddie digs out a photo of his mom. It’s the first time he’s been able to look at a photo of her since… The tears he held back when he visited his dad finally spill over. His vision blurs and his hands shake. His uncle finds him not much later, still crying over the photo.
Eddie tries to say I miss her, but what comes out is, “I miss my hair.”
His uncle runs a hand over Eddie’s shaved head and huffs. “Hair grows back, kiddo.” He presses a kiss to Eddie’s head and holds him and Eddie tries not to be embarrassed about it.
He sticks the photo to his mirror and he looks at his mom with her unruly, wavy hair smiling back at him every day when he’s getting ready for school. It never gets easier to look at and he misses her and he misses her and he doesn’t touch the clippers again.

Jet and Wave!!
Jet is as pretty charismatic guy and a lot of people around the school like him. People think he's so cool!! But he's also an idiot. He and Sonic have an odd dynamic where they're not exactly rivals but not really friends either. Jet thinks Sonic is cool and thinks they're friends. Jet gets under Sonic's skin a LOT, and Sonic is like "Ugh, he's so cool >:/"
Wave is ambiverted, and she'd usually rather have the company of her own thoughts and work over most people, but she can be social. She's the head of the robotics club, so Tails and her interact. Tails is the only middle schooler in the club, so Wave is more interested in how capable Tails is for his age (and she's surprised knowing he's actually younger than she thought! 11 instead of 13)
(There's a strong chance I might actually retcon all of this for story reasons, but if I do, they'll be pretty important to the end of the story, but only for an arc)
