Maelstrom
TITLE: Maelstrom CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: Chapter 9 AUTHOR: wolfpawn ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine helping Loki leave his physically and emotionally abusive girlfriend. You treat him with kindness and respect, and with time, as he falls for you, you teach him that love isn’t supposed to hurt. RATING: Mature NOTES/WARNINGS: Trigger Warning - This story is going to deal with emotional and physical abuse by a female abuser to her male partner.
Sonnets are posted at the bottom of the fic for reference Maelstrom - a situation or state of confused movement or violent turmoil.
Cara sat in the gardens, flicking through her book looking for just the perfect sonnet. She could not find the perfect one to fit her current mood.
She was exhausted. Work was difficult at present, for whatever reason the Norns had felt the need to create madness in the realms. It seemed what cases she got were complex and often mind-boggling. So a few hours quiet and reading in the sun was all she wanted.
Lying against a tree, she closed her eyes and enjoyed the sunlight and the gentle breeze.
‘Oh.’ On hearing another voice, her eyes shot open. ‘Hello.’
‘My Prince.’ She bowed her head slightly, though part of her was unsure of how to act, as it had been a few weeks since the end of everything to do with Lucia and this was her first interaction with Loki since the day everything came to light. ‘Is everything alright?’
Loki cleared his throat. ‘Yes, I had just planned….’
Cara looked at his hand and realised he had a book in it. ‘Oh, I have stolen your spot, I assume.’
‘Yes….well, no, it’s not really “mine” per se, just…’ He stopped speaking.
‘It’s fine. I’ll find somewhere else, you deserve to have some modicum of peace and quiet.’ She smiled.
‘It’s okay.’ Loki turned and began to walk off before stopping and facing her again. ‘I never thanked you.’
‘You don’t have to.’
‘No, I do. I...I never even told you what happened that day, the day it all came out.’
‘You don’t need to.’
‘But I...’
‘If you wish to tell me, then, by all means, I will listen intently. So long as you are not worried that I will rush off and tell everyone.’
‘One thing I noted being repeated several times through everything, Johann and Eir never stopping saying how you reported everything officially without ever even implying it was me, not once in anything was I suspected of being the being you were referencing.’
‘I respected your wishes.’
‘Thank you.’
‘Any time, My Prince.’
Loki looked at her for a moment before biting his lips. ‘May I?’ He indicated to the seat she was sitting on. Immediately, she made room and he sat beside her. ‘I spent that night thinking of everything. How she treated me, how you said I deserved better, how I felt around her compared to when I am around...and I realised you were right. I made my decision. The next morning, she came in and started talking about how she expected me to propose, how she wanted it done which, I should mention everything was against what my position would allow, you know how it is, you are of the same area of the court.’
‘She wanted flamboyant and everyone forced to watch I assume? And I guess she had the ring chosen too, something extravagant and gaudy.’
‘She wanted my mother’s wedding ring.’
Cara looked at him with uncertainty. ‘The one she is wearing at present, what with her still being wed to the Allfather?’
‘The very one.’ Loki confirmed. ‘It has jewels not native to this realm, or many others, sapphires they are called, very rare.’ He inhaled deeply. ‘I was told to tell my mother, tell her, not ask, that if she loved me, that she would want me to be happy and that giving me that ring was how to make me happy, somehow.’
‘Norns.’ Cara shook her head. ‘Not half prone to being manipulative, is she?’
‘It was my limit.’ Loki confessed. ‘My mother loves that ring. My father went to Midgard for the rock for it, that’s where it comes from. He had it made specifically for her and apparently, by all accounts, made an absolute blundering fool of himself proposing to her. She smiles every time she looks at it. It’s not the most valuable ring in the realms, not by a long shot, but she loves it.’
‘That is beautiful. No one could ever, with any respect for her, make such a…..”request” as that.’
‘No.’ He toyed with his fingers and fidgeted a lot. ‘I told her no, that there was not going to be a proposal either, or an engagement, none of it. She did not take it well.’
Cara took his hand and looked him in the eye. ‘I think that is something of an understatement.’ She stated solemnly, causing them both to laugh. ‘You did the right thing, you were incredibly brave to fight her on that. You can be happy now.’
‘I have started doing things of late, things I used always like. It has made me so much happier in myself again.’
‘Good, you deserve such.’ She smiled.
‘I must confess, however, that I miss speaking with you of different literature and other matters.’
‘You do not have to be injured to seek my company for such things. In fact, I would much rather you were not injured and sought my company.’ She stated.
‘What sonnet would suit today?’
‘Forty-Nine.’ She stated without thought. Loki took only a moment to consider it before nodding, acknowledging the poignancy in it, all things considered. ‘What about you, have any stuck out with you of late?’
‘One-forty-seven.’ He smiled slightly.
Cara frowned as she recalled the one in question, when she recited it to herself, she nodded slightly and gave a small smile ‘You are moving on with life, that’s good. I hope you find what you are longing for.’
‘How do you do that? How do you genuinely care for others as you do? So many pretend to care but you, you do and you can see it.’
‘Someone is happy is of a mindset that they would like others to be happy. What would I gain from wishing ill on others?’
‘I wish I was more like you, minus the dress of course.’
Cara snorted slightly before erupting in laughter at his words. ‘Sorry, that’s just too funny, it’s brilliant.’
Her laughter startled Loki for a moment. ‘I...You thought that that was funny?’
Cara ceased laughing. ‘Was it not meant to be?’
‘I...It’s just...’
‘You’re more used to people laughing at you?’
‘Well, yes.’ Loki confessed. ‘Especially now.’
Cara took his hand again, having realised he craved the positive contact and rubbed it kindly. ‘No one deserves that, especially you.’
‘You are too kind to me.’
‘I have to be because you are not being kind enough to yourself. You need to change that. Love yourself, love who you are. It must be hard not to for you are an incredible being.’
‘I fear you are a terrible liar, kind though.' Loki looked at her hand on his. ‘This feels so different, every time you have touched me, you are so different to how…’
‘That is because I would never willingly harm you. I genuinely care for your happiness and wellbeing.’
Loki swallowed. ‘I have to go.’ He rose to his feet and scarpered off without any further explanation, leaving Cara utterly baffled.
*
Loki watched as everyone danced around the room jovially. It had been almost half a year since Lucia was forced to face justice for her actions and lies. In that time, he recovered a lot of his self-worth, mostly due to Cara advice.
He saw her often but only allowed himself in her company when he knew he would not embarrass himself, which was infrequently.
It was at a festive event when finally he worked up the courage to talk to her again. Cara was sitting next to her sister and Thor when he approached. He could see she was more than a little bored. He walked over and gave a polite smile. ‘Mind if I join you?’
‘No, please.’ Cara all but jumped out of her chair to make room for him.
‘I am getting the feeling that Cara would converse with Hela herself rather than stay here listening to us any longer.’ Sif scoffed.
‘I would like to speak with the Goddess of Death, I would imagine she would be highly fascinating to converse with.’ Cara stated nonchalantly, Thor and Sif looking at her as though she had said something utterly mad. ‘Oh go back to arguing as to which of you is the bigger fool, such topics are wasted on you both.’ She ordered with a smile. ‘Do you think we will be honoured in Valhalla for having suffered them in this life?’ She asked Loki, the kind smile she always seemed to wear in his presence was bestowed on him to him once more.
‘I hope so, it can be the only thing to stop me shoving an apple in his mouth whole some days in hope of silencing him, if only for a moment.’ Loki responded.
‘I am not a pig.’ Thor growled, rising to his feet and leaving to go to speak with his other friends, Sif in tow.
Cara leant towards Loki to be sure they were not overheard. ‘I would dispute that, he can be an incredible bore.’
Loki, who had been taking a drink from the chalice he had brought to the table with him, was left coughing and spluttering as he laughed, mid drink, at her comment. It took several minutes for him to breathe right again afterwards. ‘Sorry.’
‘It should be me apologising to you.’ Cara rubbed his back, having clapped it a few times in his coughing. ‘I should not have said it.’
‘I am glad you did, even if my body tried to clock out because of it. That was brilliant.’
‘Well, so long as you forgive me.’ Cara blushed slightly.
‘There is nothing you could do to make me feel the need to forgive you.’ Loki had barely finished saying the words before he became very interested in his own hands. Do...Would you care to dance?’
Cara was slightly taken back by his asking such a question. ‘Yes.’
‘Really?’ He gave a nervous smile as he rose to his feet and extended his hand to her, she took it and the pair walked onto the dance floor, ignoring anyone that may have been looking at them.
‘I promise I am better now.’
Loki could only laugh, recalling the only other time he had danced with her. They were a lot younger then and Odin had forced him and Thor to dance with Tyr’s daughters, but Cara, not long a teenager, was nervous and scared and fell over Loki’s feet and her own, more than once. The only reason she did not fall flat on her face in front of a room full of both Aesir and foreign gentry was because Loki caught her. That was the one and only time he had danced with her. ‘We will see.’
They were flawless. Loki had always been graceful in every manner, dancing was no different. Cara had not allowed herself to dance publicly again until she was certain she would not embarrass herself again but she rarely danced. Neither paid any attention to anyone who may or may not have been paying them any heed but they had been noticed, by their family and by many others. For Loki and Cara, they only danced their dance, looking at one another the entire time they did so.
Even after the song ended, the pair continued to look at one another, neither saying anything to the other. It took several moments before Loki noticed Thor in his peripheral vision, looking at him as though it was some incredible new discovery before him. Loki’s reaction was to focus on Cara once more before taking her and in his and raising it to his lips, giving it a faint kiss while looking into her eyes. ‘You are incredible.’
Cara blushed, realising it was a significant step in being more positive. ‘All I needed to do to do better this time was not fall.’
Loki chuckled slightly. ‘Cara…’ He bit his bottom lip and looked her in the eye. ‘Can...If…’ He sighed and looked at the ground. ‘Nevermind.’
‘Talk to me, Loki.’ She pleaded.
‘I can’t.’
‘Please.’ But he just walked away and out of the ballroom.
Disappointed, Cara walked back to her seat and said nothing to anyone.
Sonnets
Sonnet 49 (Cara's choice) Against that time (if ever that time come) When I shall see thee frown on my defects; Whenas thy love hath cast his utmost sum, Called to that audit by advised respects; Against that time when thou shalt strangely pass, And scarcely greet me with that sun, thine eye; When love, converted from the thing it was, Shall reasons find of settled gravity; Against that time do I ensconce me here Within the knowledge of mine own desert, And this my hand against myself uprear To guard the lawful reasons on thy part: To leave poor me, thou hast the strength of laws, Since why to love I can allege no cause.
Sonnet 147 (Loki's) My love is as a fever, longing still For that which longer nurseth the disease, Feeding on that which doth preserve the ill, Th' uncertain sickly appetite to please. My reason, the physician to my love, Angry that his prescriptions are not kept, Hath left me, and I desp'rate now approve Desire is death, which physic did except. Past cure I am, now reason is past care, And frantic mad with evermore unrest, My thoughts and my discourse as madmen’s are, At random from the truth vainly expressed; For I have sworn thee fair and thought thee bright, Who art as black as hell, as dark as night.

Shit i really liked and kinda didn’t like about Ragnarok
I recently saw ragnarok and became so rejuvenated that i brought my marvel blog back but i wanted to seriously talk about like things that i liked and really didn’t just to get shit out there.
Things i really liked (like so much that i am obsessed)
-Thor’s new hair cut/outfit, i think its actually super suitable. Gives that sort of cool ass warrior refugee look. Plus, Chris Hemsworth is beautiful.
-The humor, oh god it was hilarious, i’ve never laughed so genuinely and so much in my life and it made the movie so charming and relatable. It was also such a departure from The Dark World and the first Thor, which dealt with so much emotional baggage for not only just Thor, but for Loki, who basically suffered throughout both movies.
-Hulk being an actual toddler/Bruce Banner being so fucked up and anxious because WHEN DID HE GET ON AN ALIEN PLANET.
-”You’ve been on other planets before i assume” “Yeah, one!” “well now it’s two”
-Valkyrie. Her entire everything gave me so much to love and adore. Tessa Thompson has stole my heart yet again.
-TAIKA WAITITI AS KORG WAS ACTUALLY SO FUNNY
-The little tiny glimpses of Loki and Thor’s childhood, aka the snake story, get help. It really showed how much time Loki and Thor had spent together, which i assume is a lot because age in Asgardian years work differently probably? Like imagine that, Loki and Thor spending time together and being inseparable for 100 years. It showed that they were always close despite loki feeling different or alienated, which explains why its so hard for Loki to just leave thor for dead.
-”You’ll always be the god of mischief, but you can be so much more” See that shit destroyed me. Thor acknowledges that Loki is not like him. He’s a trickster, manipulative, and selfish. But he also acknowledges that Loki is so much more than his tricks and lies, which shows so much character growth in Thor, who sees loki as more than just an asgardian prince that was raised the exact same way opposite of Thor, but as his own fucking person.
-Thor actually not being stupid and falling for Loki’s tricks, aka his magic projections of himself/his petty, stupid betrayals. Tom mentioned that Thor was evolving and that Loki was finally starting to realize that he’s the only one not growing. Scenes like the betrayal scene and the snake scene, although meant to be hilarious, point out that Thor isn’t that idiot that just was too trusting of his brother, he sees through Loki’s tricks, he’s seen them for years, and it really shows that Loki’s getting predictable with his fake deaths and betrayals, which might hint at him changing?
-IT FIXED THE INCONSISTENCIES. The main reason i didn’t like Dark world, though i did see it as amazing for its ability to mix the emotional darkness between Loki and Thor along with the humor throughout the movie, was because it pointed Loki out to be the type of cold blooded monster that would murder his own father. I mean I’m no Loki apologist, i love the kid but he’s killed, he’s manipulated, he’s hurt everyone around him, but i doubt he could ever kill Odin, no matter how much of a shitty father he is. Also low-key hated the whole “Loki if you betray me, ill kill you” Thor bullshit. We all know thor wouldn’t be able to do that, he still hopes Loki is his brother.
-AGAIN, THE SNAKE SCENE WAS SO FUNNY.
-”I thought the world of you Loki.” Ouch.
-Hulk and Val’s bromance.
-The entire Valkyrie v. Hela scene. It was so beautiful and ethereal i actually nutted.
-LOKI DIDN’T NEED TO COME BACK. HE DIDN’T NEED TO GO BACK TO THE SHIP WITH THOR. HE DIDN’T NEED TO GO BACK TO ASGARD. HE COULD HAVE NOT. BUT HE DID. BECAUSE SOMEWHERE IN THERE UNDER THE SELFISHNESS MAYBE HE CARES.
-Loki’s face when odin called him his son.
-Loki’s face when Hela told him to kneel.
-Loki refusing to let Thor go back to Asgard. “Are you serious? you can’t be thinking of going back there, that’s madness!” is that? Loki cARING?
-Loki’s character development.
-thor in a jean jacket and hoodie in new york.
-Thor spilling beer everywhere.
-Loki letting Thor take the orgy ship.
-Jeff Goldblum. Thats it.
-LOKIS FACE WITH THOR AND ODIN ON THE ROOF OF THE CASTLE I SCREmed AFTER ALL LOKI DID HE WAS STILL PUT THERE AS A PRINCE OF ASGARD BYE.
-”Hello father” “OH SHIT”
-The entire play. Loki’s rule as a benevolent god/king in which, before everyone feared him for a dictatorship militaristic form of ruling he could have, but in reality he just like ate grapes and watched plays.
-Thor wanting to be a Valkyrie. The crowned prince of asgard, wanting to be an elite team of woman warriors.
-VAL IS GAY AND IN TESSA THOMPSONS WORDS, HAD A GIRLFRIEND THAT SACRIFICED HERSELF TO SAVE HER.
-Val kicking Loki’s ass.
-THE RETURN OF THE DOUBLE BLADES OUT OF NOWHERE.
-Loki in a suit.
-HEIMDALL I LOVEJWIFHTGE.
-”I thought you didn’t want to talk about it” “heres the thing”
-”Hello!” “Hi” *blasts everyone in room with giant laser guns*
-”What are you? Thor, god of hammers?”
-IMMIGRANT SONG.
-”i swear i left him right here” “where? on the street? Or in that nursing home thats being torn down?”
“I’m not a witch” “Why do you dress like one then?”
-Loki rolling his eyes when thor is approached by fans.
-Loki calling stephen strange a shitty sorcerer and going at him with stabby hands.
-Confirmation of loki’s love of stabbing.
-Confirmation that Loki is a snake, and also Thor’s favorite snake.
-Loki reciting Thor’s prayer to odin with him mY SON.
-The avengers parallel. “He’s my brother!” “adopted.”
-”mbLERG ITS ME”
-”AGH LOKI!”
-’DIRECT ME TO WHO’S ASS I HAVE TO KICK”
-”Where? the devil’s anus?”
-Bruce fighting evil with fireworks. Good job sweetie.
-Bruce flopping like a fish on the bifrost.
-Thor and his sparkles.
-Lightning eyes.
-Odin finALLY DYING. THANK GOD.
-*Loki on a death trip* ‘this is a terrible idea”
-Loki somehow reciting a spell to bring surtur back. what a weirdo. how did he know that.
-LOKI COMING BACK.
-im here.
-Loki
-Brodinson.
-Thor and Bruce’s bromance.
-Jane not being there. I mean it makes sense she dumped him, he left her for two years chasing down infinity stones and constantly almost dying while she had no way of contacting him because Thor’s ass didn’t know how to use fucking email. Also i just really honestly never liked her character to begin with, i mean sure i love that Jane is a strong, smart woman but tbh i just wanted to Fast forward every time she was on screen.
-The cute death wolf.
-”THATS HOW IT FEELS!” “sorry i just really like the sport”
-THOR ACTUALLY BEING PORTRAYED AS LESS OF A JERK WITH CACTUSES SHOVED UP HIS RECTUM AND MORE LIKE THE SWEET, CHARMING, CHARISMATIC AND SLIGHTLY ARROGANT BUT MEANS WELL MAN HE IS.
-Val being there as a cool as member of the team rather than just the love interest of Thor. Protect her at all cost even though she probs doesn’t even need it.
-”I’VE BEEN FALLING FOR THIRTY MINUTES”
-Stan Lee’s cameo as the dude who cut Thor’s hair. Thank you for doing all of us a giant favor. Please do the same to Loki.
-loki beating someone up with his horn hat.
-Loki twirling his horn hat.
-Loki being such a self serving, extra asshole that he came from the fucking fog screaming “YOUR SAVIOR HAS ARRIVED”
-Bruce asking where tony was and then complaining about his tight crotch pants.
-LOKI’S COSTUME CHANGE GOD I HATED THE OLD ONES BLESS UP.
-Loki’s costume being mainly blue, black, and gold :-)))))))
-Loki being 100% done with everything that happens.
-Val knocking Loki out when he makes her relive her trauma why do people ship this you go honey that was a dick move
-Thor throwing various things at Loki to make sure he’s not a mirage.
-he’s a friend from work, something a kid from make a wish that met chris suggested, being in the film and all of the trailers. I hope that made that kid smile.
-”In return, i wish to be granted safe passage through the anus”
-LOKI FINALLY ACCEPTING THAT HE DIDN’T WANT THE THRONE WITHOUT A FAMILY. THAT HE’D RATHER WATCH HIS BROTHER TAKE IT AND STILL HAVE A BROTHER THAN HAVE A THRONE WITH NO ONE TO SHARE IT WITH.
-LOKI SHOWING UP ON SCREEN DURING THOR’S CORONATION.
-Loki being genuinely worried about and double checking if Thor really wants to bring him back to earth after what he did kill me honestly that would probably hurt less.
-Loki’s face when thor said that going their separate ways was what Loki always wanted bc in reality that is the opposite go back.
-Hela not being Loki’s daughter because 1) it proves that ya’ll should stop hoping that a comic soap opera about rich petty alien boys with daddy issues would be anything like classic norse mythology, and 2) when the fuck and how the fuck and why the fuck
-Loki suggesting that he and Thor both rule over Sakaar together lmao ouch.
-Loki just being really cute and quirky.
-Thor being so fucking amazed by Val all the time.
-”You’re late.”
-”I saw you coming” “course you did.”
-THE GUNS NAMED DES AND TROY I WANTED TO FUCKING DIE.
What i didn’t like much;
-Hela. I loved her character, but honestly here is where i think there might’ve been some failure despite how much i loved that movie. She seemed so out of place as a villain, and i feel like the whole related shit tried to mimic Guardians vol. 2, but honestly the fact that Thor didn’t care much about her made her feel so out of place. But i did like some parts, like how she was so disappointed about not being remembered or what her existence and disappointment did to how loki was raised.
-Dr. Strange? Ok that was weird. It makes sense and it was funny to see him but to be honest i wasn’t into it.
-tHE SCENE WITH VAL AND A GIRL BEING CUT. WHYWHYWHY
-tbh was not fond of frost master, don’t hate me.
-Loki possibly taking the tesseract????? And hinting that he might turn evil again??? don’t do this to me marvel.
-loki possibly being turned into the quirky sidekick of his brother. Loki is Thor’s equal, not his annoying little brother/wacky sidekick. I didn’t get that vibe often, but sometimes i did honestly.
-RIP thor’s hammer.
-ODIN BEING A PIECE OF SHIT YET AGAIN.
-Hela’s entrance. it was so quick and like out of place i was like what wait, Loki and thor didn’t even have time to prepare or even mourn.
-the comedy. It was its best and worst part of the movie. Sometimes it was tasteful. Other times it was too much. Thor and Loki didn’t even get to mourn for their dad who tbh was an asshole but still their dad before there was a annoying joke about kneeling. It took away from the story sometimes.
-the lack of hugging between thor and loki.
-The way they glossed over the warriors three’s death like they weren’t Thor’s closest friends and the only ones there for him when Odin tried to banish Thor to earth :-))))) I mean after all that shit he went through I’m pretty fucking sure it probably hasn’t caught up to him but ya bitch still pissed.
-The way, Thor, who basically admitted that Loki actually meant the world to him and was the only family he had left, didn’t ask where he was after asgard exploded? Like tbh i get it, he trusts Loki, his brothers capable and strong and most of all really fucking smart, but i’d still be like :-) the fuck is Loki. I think this is a directing error though rather than like the characters fucking up but i was freaking out, i mean asgard was literally pebbles and everyone was out BUT my son.
-No sif, i mean i get it Jaime Alexander was busy but like y'all could’ve explained smh.
-Loki not getting a hair cut. When will his emo phase end.
-Not getting that one flashback to 80′s asgard with mullets and emo loki.
Overall it was pretty fucking cool, one of the best movies of the trilogy. I fell in love with the marvel cinematic universe all over again. But it wasn’t perfect.

Best friends with the god of mischief (chapter 8)
CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: Chapter 8
AUTHOR: foreverdrivinginpuddles123 / lokistories123 ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine being friends with Loki. After a while you start having feelings for him, but you don’t tell him. One day Asgard’s enemies try to go after you and Loki takes you to Asgard. Loki and Thor defeat the enemies, but you and Loki decide it is better for you to stay in Asgard for a while. One day Loki comes back from a mission. He tells you he found out that he’s a frost giant and that he is most likely adopted. Loki can’t cope with this and he gets really angry. Whilst you try to calm him, he quickly yells that he’s in love with you. RATING: Teen NOTES/WARNINGS: I had a hard time writing this chapter. I just didn’t know how to get from A to B. I guess I finally had my first writers block. I hope it’s still okay. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Next chapter will be NSFW, but I’m still figuring out how to write it in a good (not fifty shades of grey) way.

Chapter 8
When I woke up the sun was shining in the room. I could hear Loki breathing in my ear and I could sense he had snuggled up from behind me. I was wearing clothes and I could feel he is wearing clothes as well. He must’ve done it with his magic I thought to myself.
“Hmmm, you’re awake.” Loki growled in my ear. He wasn’t lying about the whole animalistic part, but I liked it.
“And so are you.” I turned around to look at him, but noticed he was in his frost giant form. I gave him a kiss.
“Still not scared?” He looked genuinely surprised at my reaction.
“Nope, and I shall never be.” I smiled. Right when things would be becoming more “tense”, A loud knock on the door had interrupted us.
“Brother, is Y/N with you? I saw the two of you leaving, but when I asked the servants if they had seen her leave your chamber, they didn’t.”
Loki sighed and quickly ran to the door to open it slightly.
“Brother, use your brains. And also use the memory of what I’ve told you the day she arrived.” Loki turned back to face me, cheeks furiously red. Like mine were all the time. He obviously said something out loud that he didn't want me to hear just yet.
“OOHHHH. So you told her you loved her hmm?”
“Yes, Thor, I did.” Loki said in a very proud way. Almost proud of his brother for still having some brains.
“And did you also tell her that other thing?”
“That I am a frost giant, Yes I told her that too. We’ll speak shortly. For now, I need some time with my girlfriend.” He slammed the door and looked proud of saying the G word.
“Girlfriend HM?”
“That’s how you say it on Midgard, yes?”
“Yes. Is that not how you say it here then?”
“No, we say that we are courting someone that they are just our man or woman.” It just sounded fancier, but I was flattered that Loki wanted to call me his girlfriend. From what Thor told Loki and what Loki told Thor, it sounded like Loki liked me before we went to Asgard in a hurry. Which meant he liked me before I knew who he really was, when I just thought he was a guy from Earth. And without even knowing it, he liked me still, even when I now knew who he really REALLY was.
“If you’re thinking any harder, your head might burst.”
“Sorry. I’m starving, what time is it? Did we miss breakfast?!” I was truly starving. I had the most amazing night, but it had taken up a lot of energy, and that means I need more energy. As in food.
“It’s around 10 AM, so we should be fine.” He was right. Just when breakfast would’ve ended, lunch would come around.
“I also send Amelia away to serve Hela. She wasn’t speaking of you very nicely, and I think you can handle yourself just fine without her presence.” Loki was being honest. Amelia was never kind to me, and she only hanged around me, rolling her eyes and making me do everything by myself. I told her to piss off weeks ago.
“Thanks. I really didn’t like her either.” Loki got dressed with one notion of his hand. I was still trying to fully control the spell but tried in none the less. I ended up with wearing half a shirt and one shoe. Loki laughed his ass of.
“Something funny?”
“Yes Y/N, you should really learn your spells in full before performing them in full.”
“Thanks for the tip asshole.” I wasn’t amused by his tone. He made it look like I was being truly stupid, but I just wanted to show him how far I’ve gotten with all this magic.
“Sorry, here let me help you.” With one wave of his hand I was now fully dressed as well.
“Thanks.” Still mad! Still mad! I thought to myself. I couldn’t let him win me over this easily.
“Everything okay?”
“No, I just wanted to show you what I’ve learned so far. Since you left me alone to rot weeks ago. I practiced with Frigga instead, since you wouldn’t speak to me at all. But she hadn’t much time either! I did self-study most of the time to still learn or I’d break. So do not get mad for what I can and can’t do as it is your fault YOU didn’t teach me in the first place!”
“I notice you are still angry with me for leaving you alone for so many weeks. I’m glad you know the reason why, but it looks like I still got some making up to do.”
“Damn right you do!”
Loki explained the whole situation again, hoping that I would understand him better the 2nd time. And I did. But still, I was angry at him. He was laughing at me for being so ignorant, but I truly didn’t know any better, for no-one had even taught me slightly how everything went around here.
“I’m sorry for letting you down. I promise you it won’t happen again!”
“You’re forgiven, for now.”
We entwined arms and walked up to the dining halls.
“So I see someone has been telling the truth, now hasn’t he?” Hela said with a big smile when Loki gave me a kiss on the cheek.
“Yes, I told her my thoughts AND I told her what happened on Jötunheim.” So obviously the whole family knew that Loki told me what he was. They also knew that that meant I loved him truly for who he was.
As the weeks passed by Loki quickly claimed back the whole teaching me magic stuff and made sure I got “A treat” if I finished learning a spell completely.
“I can see your Seidr growing more and more powerful Y/N.”
“Sei what?”
“Seidr. It’s the true name of what you call magic. Seidr.”
“Well that makes no more sense at all.” I laughed. Now it was Seidr, but at first Loki just called it magic. Perhaps he just did that for me?
I saw Frigga walking towards me and Loki.
“There you are! I was looking all over for the two of you! The next stop would’ve been Loki’s chambers.” I blushed. Gladly it wasn’t very noticeable for I already had red cheeks myself.
“Hello mother, what is the reason for your search?”
“I am hosting a ball tonight, and I’d hoped you and Y/N would be there as well.”
“Of course, we’ll be there. I’ve seen enough pretty dresses for the occasion, and I love dancing!” I was very excited! I loved wearing beautifull dresses from time to time, and I truly love dancing. I may suck at it, but I am amazed by it none the less.
Loki pinched my hand, his kind gesture of telling me to shut up. But I’d not have it.
“Great, the ball begins at 8PM. Don’t be late. You know how your father gets.”
“Oh, I know.” Was all Loki could say and Frigga quickly left after that.
“You don’t like balls and stuff like that?” I could tell from Loki’s expression, that it wasn’t his first choice.
“No, I sometimes do like them, especially when I can do some mischief. But most of the times they are just reasons to get all the royals and nobles together to discuss certain matters.”
“Where will the ball be hosted?” I was thinking it would be in the throne room for that was the only room big enough for my perception.
“Next to the training grounds is a building that runs out to the royal gardens. That’s where the ball will be hosted.”
Loki and I continued our walk to the library.
Loki continued to do research on everything frostgiant, for he wanted to control his frost giant side now that is has been released. He told me he learned a lot of things, but he wouldn’t tell me everything. I wished he would trust me more. But I knew I had to give him some time.
Around 4PM me and Loki returned to his chambers. The ball would begin around 8PM, so we had like 4 hours to get ready. I knew I didn’t need so long, so I started reading a book.
“We should really go back to my home anytime soon, because most of these books are boring as hell.” Loki chuckled in response. I hope he knows I’m being serious.
“Sure. Whenever you’re ready.” “I’m not. I had contacted my parents a few days ago, but they are worried as hell. If I even take one step into my home, they’ll never let me leave.”
“I know. We’ll figure something out.”
After a minute of silence, a dozen of servants started barging in.
“What the hell is all this?” I asked in my annoyance.
“They are here to get us ready little one.”
“But we’ve got 4 hours left?!” One of the servants took one step forward.
“Milady, we are here to prepare everything for you and the prince and then we’ll be gone.” I accepted the fact that I wasn’t able to do anything. I walked to the closet with some lady servants and we picked a dress. I still wasn’t comfortable with those shoes, but I let them pick a pair anyway. I would just change them the last minute. It took the servants, an hour to prepare everything and the bathtub was filled with water. Thank god they quickly left and Loki and I where the only ones left in the chambers.
“I’m going to take a bath, would you care to join me?” I looked up in terror.
“Y/N, stop being so self-conscious. You’re beautiful. Now come with me.” Loki just grabbed my hand and almost threw me in the bathtub. I was too shy to say anything.
“Lost your tongue?” I nodded my head, while continuing to look down. Loki grabbed my chin to make me look up to him.
“Stop being so negative about yourself Y/N. I can’t speak for other men, but I prefer a woman whom I can hold on to, and not one that breaks with a single breath. And I think that should be enough for you to not be so shy around me if you’re not wearing any clothes.” I gave him half a smile and I laid my head on his shoulder.
“Mhhh. It’s so relaxing. No-one whining and nagging, just utter peace.” I laughed at his comment.
“You’re absolutely right. But a shower is also nice, and I do miss it from time to time.”
“Well… we can’t have everything we want. But the thing I wanted the most, I do have.” Loki kissed me.
“I do like the fact that you can keep the water warm for such a long time. On earth it would’ve been cold by now. SHIT! What time is it?!”
“It’s 7PM.”
“SHIT! We need to get ready!”
I jumped out of the bathtub and. SMACK. “FUCK.” I just fell, naked, on the cold tiled floor.
“Y/N! You really are clumsy, now aren’t you?” Loki picked me up and threw a towel around me. He quickly dried me and sat with me on his bed.
“I’m sorry.”
“No need to be sorry. Are you hurt?”
“Physically? No. Mentally? Yes.” Loki gave me a hug.
“Come we need to get dressed. I’ll help you.”
I truly needed the help for the dress was as beautiful as it was hard to put on. When I finally finished putting it on, I needed Loki to put on my sneakers and tie them together.
“I can’t believe you’re wearing those hideous things under such a beautiful gown.”
“Shut up. I just fell in the bathroom, I don’t want to die dancing in those goddamn heels!” I pointed at those 15cm high heels with NO STRAPS at all. I will be calling them the hooker heels from now on.
“Fine, I’ll leave you alone to finish getting ready.” Loki left my chamber but left the door open. Of course, I went to take a peek. I saw him naked now a million times, but it never got old. He looked stunning. He wasn’t the Thor-like muscular type, but he also wasn’t the skinny bag of bones type. He was truly perfect.
“Y/N get ready and stop eyeing me.” I was caught. I quickly slammed the door and started doing my hair and make-up. Thank god they had make-up in Asgard.
We quickly arrived at 8PM sharp. Loki and I entwined our arms while we walked into the ballroom. The room was stunning. It was exactly like how I would describe winter-wonderland. As we walked in, the music stopped, and everyone was looking at us. At me. I’ve never felt so humiliating in my life. They were staring at me like I was a new kind of animal in the zoo. Quickly Frigga spoke.
“Loki. Y/N. Glad that you were able to come. Let’s continue!” Frigga waved, and the music started playing. I noticed it wasn’t “music music”. There was a whole goddamn Orchestra playing music.
Loki and I danced for hours. Everyone wanted to know whom I was and where I came from. The people were truly interested in me. I’ve never such interest in me in my life! I started chatting with Thor as well. Loki walked up to us.
“Thor, would you mind keeping an eye on Y/N? There’s something I’ve got to do.” “Sure thing brother. Go, I’ll make sure she’s safe.” Thor smiled at him and for once Loki smiled back. Loki faced me as well.
“Y/N, there’s something I’ve got to do quickly. I’ll return quickly.” He gave me a quick kiss and almost ran towards the doors.
“I have no idea what he’s up to lady Y/N, but he seems a bit nervous. Did anything happen?”
“No. Well. I fell on the bathroom floor a few hours ago, but I don’t think that has anything to do with it.” Thor laughed, and Thor asked if I wanted to dance with him. It was fun. He was clumsier than Loki, but we had fun. It felt like seconds and I watched Loki return.
“Hey.” Loki was out of breath.
“Hey. Is everything okay?”
“Yes, give me a second.” Loki walked up to Frigga and Odin and was speaking to them. They both nodded and then Loki returned.
“Y/N, I’d very much like to return to our chambers for the rest of the evening, would you please accompany me?” He was always talking so posh in public. It was funny. He would try to talk as mundane as possible to me when we would be alone, but in public he needed to keep up his “prince of Asgard” act.
“Yes, of course. Good night Thor.” I nodded at Thor. I was more of a hugger kind of person. But that would be seen as romantic here on Asgard. Thor knew I didn’t mean it that way, but everyone else thought I was. Thor smiled at me and after that Loki and I left.
As we entered the chamber, the whole floor was covered in black rose petals (with a few red ones there as well once in a while). There were candles everywhere, leaving a very nice scent.
“Loki what is all this? Is this the reason why you left the ball so suddenly?”
“Yes Y/N. I’ve figured out a way to control my frost-giant behaving.” I knew where he was going at. It meant he could also have “sex without ripping my head of”. I thought that claim was bullshit, but I really did not want to find out.
Loki slammed the door and started kissing me.

Thor: Ragnarok review
Tumblr media
Thor has had the worst track when it comes to the MCU. His first outing was an okay-at-best adventure that took place with a cast of boring, unfunny humans instead of on Asgard where cool shit happened. When you start out your trilogy with someone like Kenneth Branagh directing and even he can’t make it cool, you know you’re in trouble. Then we come to his appearance in The Avengers, where he does decent but still gets outshone quite a bit by the rest of the cast. Then we get to Thor: The Dark World, one of the worst superhero films ever made… the less said about it the better. Then comes Age of Ultron and Thor’s overall role is negligible, especially with his weird cave dream sequence which doesn’t amount to too much. All of this build’s Thor up as one of the least-interesting Avengers, which is a damn shame, because Chris Hemsworth plays the role with such charm and enthusiasm, it’s sad to see his efforts go to waste…
...And then comes Thor: Ragnarok, and it blows all that bullshit out of the water by doing a soft reboot to the whole Thor series. Sure, the bullshit before is still canon, but Thor got dumped by his human girlfriend so we don’t need to put up with those fucks anymore, the movie takes place mostly in the cosmos which were the best parts of the other Thor movies, and best of all we have a director who knows what we want to see and gives it to us with cheesy 80s and Jack Kirby aesthetic: Taika Waititi. More than anyone before him, he seems to really GET what makes Thor so cool in the first place, and what makes comic book movies cool in general. The other Thor movies are naught but a whimper to this film’s epic Led Zeppelin metal scream. But how? How did this film fix the fatal flaws of the films that came before?
First let’s give you a rundown of the story: It has been two years since Thor has left Earth. His girlfriend has dumped him, he has found no Infinity Stones, and as soon as he returns to Asgard he finds out Loki has hijacked the throne and hid his father, Odin, on Earth. And just when things don’t seem like they could get any worse, Odin dies and releases the wicked Hela, his firstborn child who was banished long ago for being an evil bitch. She makes it to Asgard and starts trying to dominate everything, while Thor and Loki end up on the planet of Sakaar… though Thor is stuck fighting in gladiator battles while Loki, who through temporal bullshit showed up a week earlier, has sucked up to the grandiose ruler known as the Grandmaster and landed himself in a cushy position. Soon enough Thor is up in the gladiator arena against his old pal, the Hulk, and from here Thor tries to figure out how he can get back to Asgard and whoop Hela’s ass. Can the mighty Thor manage this impossible feat, or is Ragnarok finally upon him?
The reason this movie works so well is that the film has moved away from dull Earth settings and into cosmic realms with a heavy 1980s sci-fi and Jack Kirby influence. Earth was not a very interesting setting for a character who is supposed to be a mighty physical god; the earlier films never really played to his strengths, as evidenced by the main villains being meek and unimposing in comparison to a swaggering viking like Thor. This is not much of a problem here, where all the foes Thor matches up against are more than able to measure up. Over the course of the film he does battle with the fire demon Surtur, his evil death goddess sister Hela, and of course the not-so-jolly green giant himself, Hulk. These are foes that actually give Thor a realistic challenge, and while there are obviously still scenes of Thor fighting mooks, there are actually antagonists that can put up solid fights themselves. It’s a real breath of fresh air!
Speaking of the characters, and continuing on with how moving away from the structure of the old film’s was a good thing… the previous supporting casts of the Thor movies were one of the greatest weaknesses. They were good actors (and Kat Dennings) in awful roles. But in THIS film, we get a supporting cast worthy of Thor! Gone is the dull Natalie Portman and the horrendously unfunny Kat Dennings characters that have bogged down the films in the past! Say hello to the new supporting cast of characters, with the badass Valkyrie and the charming goofball Korg! Valkyrie is an awesome, badass, worthy partner for Thor, who has a solid backstory and good characterization for her first film. Korg is just an absolutely lovable doofus; played by Taika Waititi himself, he exists mostly to add a bit of levity to the proceedings, which is easy to do as he is a hulking rock monster with a very soft, pleasant voice. These two are highlights of the movie, worthy newcomers and allies to Thor, and I hope they pop up more in the future. The interactions they could have if they meet up with the Avengers would be astounding.
Of course, we also have villains to take into account here, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag. Not in terms of quality mind you, because the performances are all well-done, it’s just that the villains tended to be underutilized. Hela is the chief example; yes, she has plenty of scenes where she’s badass, Cate Blanchett is perfect as her, and by fucking god that scene where she kills all the valkyries in flashback is one of the most gorgeous scenes I’ve ever seen in superhero cinema. But she’s a bit underutilized and barely deals with Thor until the very end of the film after their brief meetup. Still, she gets some cool fight scenes, so it does even out a bit, I just feel she deserved some more attention, especially with her interesting backstory. Surtur is quite a victim of this problem too, as instead of serving as a big bad, he’s relegated to a plot device after his defeat in the opening – a plot device I shall not reveal any spoilers on. Needless to say, he’s cool in his appearances, but he could have done a lot more. Thankfully, these two characters could possibly return, as their final scenes do leave things a bit open-ended.
But there is one antagonist who I can heap nothing but lavish praise upon: The Grandmaster. This is Jeff Goldblum dressed in the gaudiest clothing imaginable just… Jeff Goldbluming it up. He is absolutely perfect, hilarious, delightfully weird… it is everything I could have wanted from Jeff Goldblum in a Marvel film. There is not a single scene he’s in that’s unenjoyable, and I can’t wait for him to show up again so he can potentially interact with his equally scene-stealing weirdo brother, The Collector. Benicio Del Toro and Jeff Goldblum weirding it up onscreen together… It would be the stuff legends are made of. But yes, Goldblum, he’s a highlight of the film.
Now on to the returning characters: Odin is okay. Anthony Hopkins does a great job playing Loki pretending to be Odin, but his death scene is a bit rushed when taken out of context of the Thor series as a whole. It starts so near the beginning and wraps up the arc from the previous Thor film so quickly I just ca- oh, wait a second, Thor: The Dark World sucked ass, so why do I care if it’s stupid plot points get thrown out the window? Then we have Loki, who here just goes through the heel-face revolving door so many times it’s hard to really tell whose side he’s on at any given moment. As usual, his interactions with Thor are fantastic and enjoyable; they really do feel like bickering brothers who deep down do love each other, and Loki also gets some of the most hilarious moments during the Thor vs. Hulk gladiator fight. He’s solidly done, and Tom Hiddleston also gets a few scenes where he gets to ham it up, which is a big plus.
And then we have Doctor Strange, in a very brief cameo appearance that builds off the stinger of his film… and this scene is fucking awful. It’s supposed to be some goofy, lighthearted jokiness but it’s just so forced, awkward, and shoehorned into the film; it’s clearly only there to beat you over the head with the fact this movie takes place in a shared universe with other heroes. To be perfectly frank, the entirety of Thor and Loki’s trip could be cut out of the film with zero effect on the plot. It is just utterly irrelevant fanservice. The joke about Loki falling for thirty minutes though, that was funny, and it almost makes the scene worthwhile. Credit where credit is due, I laughed.
And now, the big one: Hulk. This is Hulk’s absolute best film appearance yet. He talks, he gets some personality to him, he gets good chemistry with Thor, and all his fight scenes are a blast, finally pitting Hulk against worthy foes (hey, he and Thor both finally get to fight people who are a good match)! And if you think Hulk’s the only one getting in on the fun, Banner shows up too and gets in on the fun; after two years stuck in Hulk form, Banner is a bit loopy, and gets tons of goofy, manic lines and great chemistry with Thor. Ruffalo is at the top of his game here; let’s see him keep this up in his next appearances.
Every fight scene is awesome, the score by Mark Mothersbaugh is awesome, every time “Immigrant Song” kicks up it’s the absolute peak of awesome… there’s nothing about this film that doesn’t scream “AWESOME!” Okay, well, there are a few things, as I’ve mentioned, but the pros heavily outweighs the cons. The awesome 80s Saturday morning cartoon sci-fi aesthetic fits Thor like a glove, giving him an enjoyable identity rather than the gloomy, overwrought, and often half-baked tone that has plagued his films in the past. This is a Thor film worthy of being a Thor film, and while I can’t say this is Marvel’s best film yet (I still like the Guardians of the Galaxy films and Civil War more), this is easily top ten best Marvel movies material, and one of this year's finest superhero films, and this is a damn good year for superhero movies! This one gets a recommendation for me, especially if you love throwbacks to the awesomely trashy and cheesy 80s sci-fi of the 80s… and boy fucking howdy do I love that shit.
This is science fantasy at its most fun, and I pray to all the gods of Asgard that Taika Waititi gets to keep the reigns of Thor for the foreseeable future. This man knows how to show us a good time; let’s let him keep doing it for a while longer. We need a bit more making up for the first two crappy Thor films, y’know?

my rambling thoughts about thor: ragnarok + thoughts for iw
!!!!spoilers!!!!
- the opening scene of thor vs surtur is brilliant
- odin!loki is one of the best thing in this movie. from the way he sits, eat his grapes, and saying “oh shit” when thor came... it was priceless. props to anthony hopkins for portraying it perfectly
- the cameo is also very hilarious
- brodinsons finding their father is also a good moment. i love how odin acknowledges loki and even said he was proud of him, while telling them both to work together.
- we’ll talk about hela later, along with my comment to other characters
- sakaar is really fun, all those colors and the ~theme music~ is just really cool
- i’d love to see more grandmaesters shenanigans
- korg is so precious bless him
- the final fight is also pretty spectacular since the people were literally trapped if loki the little shit didn’t come to help, and no one literally know how to defeat hela
- HELA. okay she’s cool and extremely powerful. she showed that she can single handedly killed the whole asgardian army and pin thor down and continuously producing weapons but i really wish we saw her make more destruction. i feel like from the trailer, they give us “shit is coming” however, when she’s on asgard, she literally made no destruction other than killing the army. i really wish we could see more of her powers.
- THOR. THIS IS THE THOR WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR. he’s funny, he’s carefree, but he’s also wise. he’s like the bratty thor from thor 1, but less angsty than the other thor we’ve seen so far. this is the balanced thor. idk how to explain it but I LOVE IT. i love to see his new ability too, mainly his ability to communicate with heimdall.
- VALKYRIE. i really hope we see more of her in mcu- to see more of her in action and her conquest as a valkyrie. also, does she has a name? since valkyrie is name of the elite army, not the person.
- BRUCE. damn bby so precious and need to be protected at all cost. i mean, he turned back into hulk to save asgardians from fenrir, even though he knew he might not come back?????? *sobs*
- LOKI. okay tbh i didn’t really like him here. sure he’s hot as usual, and like i said that battle sequence is g l o r i o u s, i can’t wait to see them gifs on my dashboard, but loki seems very tame in this movie. in thor 1, his jealousy fuel him. in avengers, it’s his madness (?)- or possibly mind control, depends on which side you see him. in thor 2, it’s his grief and revenge. in this movie... he seems tame because he has nothing to drive him. i miss that drive in loki. we only saw it in the third act when he needed to protect the asgardians.
on the other hand, maybe it’s also because he has nothing to be angry for? i mean he got a taste of being king. he lost his parents already and thor is all he has left... and he’s obviously fond of thor as we can see in this movie. i think this is how loki was and should be, someone who just wanted to be by thor’s side. it seems very abrupt tbh, but in that universe it’s been 4 years since the dark world, so who knows, maybe loki already has time to reflect and be nice.
also i feel like they really downplay loki’s ability in this movie. yes, his fighting is amazing as we see in the final act, but he was beaten by valkyrie beforehand. and then for someone who’s supposed to be the best sorcerer in the nine realms, he was easily dodged by dr. strange. like???? he managed to spell odin, which even odin himself admit was hard to break. so theoritically, he could put a spell on someone to do what he said, and he could definitely use that in their escape effort but nooo they have to reduce him.
we saw his other new ability though, like it’s great to see how he could see someone’s memory and that his illusion is not easily dissolved as we believed it to be.
i can’t wait to see this calm loki meeting the avengers. they’ll flip. i can’t wait to see their reactions.
- I LOVE THE BRODINSON MOMENT. either the acting is just amazing, or their chemistry just works. by seeing at their gestures and facial expression you could see a strong brotherly bond. loki being scared of mjolnir and thor threatening loki with it. loki understood thor’s grief and try to cautiously calm him down, and didn’t try to fight when thor blamed him. thor rely on loki to attack hela in bifrost. loki begging/asking/bugging thor to speak in the freaky circle (i swear he looks and feel like a little brother begging his older brother to talk at that moment). loki being obviously sad when thor agreed with him that they path are not together anymore. thor already anticipated loki’s tricks by throwing stuff and electrocute him. loki smirking when thor recount the snake incident. LOKI SMIRKING WHEN THOR’S WENT FULL LIGHTNING LIKE HE WAS SO PROUD AND KNEW IT ALL ALONG THE EXTENT OF THOR’S FULL POWER like “finally this oaf got to used them”.
- and my favorite: “if you’re here i’d give you a hug” *throws shit* “i’m here”
*cue me screeching internally*
- i love how none of the asgardians are surprised loki come back to protect them, and neither did thor. they just strategize together immediately. like everyone knew they could depend on loki when shit gets real. *proudly sobbing*
- i have the feeling that the huge ass ship in the mid credit scene is thanos coming to grab the infinity stone, which i’m 10000000% sure loki took. i mean the next avengers movie is titled “infinity war” there’s no way in hell one infinity war got destroyed before the movie even started.
- i’m pretty sure stephen strange won’t be happy seeing the asgardians relocate to norway (”remember this place” it just so foreshadowing don’t you think?) i mean he let the brothers go in exchange for going back to asgard but they actually destroy asgard AND NOW RELOCATING TO EARTH
- no he won’t be happy
- come to think again, i don’t think any of the avengers would be happy
- now here’s the thing that confuse me for iw: it was obvious from the preview that loki was in ruins giving the tesseract to someone unknown.
whether suicide or not, loki deliberately let go and fall in thor 1. when he first came to earth in avengers, he didn’t look healthy either. and there’s no way in hell the director and make up artist set it to look like that without any meaning. however, in the dark world it went unmentioned and it seems like too many time has passed for it to be brought up again. and then this whole debacle about loki’s eyes.
we never knew what happened when he fell or why he looked unhealthy etc, so either it will be addressed in iw or it will went unmentioned and just become a plot hole. which means a) the brothers will reach earth and things will work out with loki in earth and asgardians and avengers b) the brothers will reach earth, but shit happens because hello, loki in ruins c) none of the brothers and asgardian reach earth, possibly the huge ass ship attack asgard’s ship, killing everyone and leaving thor stranded to guardians’ ship in the movie d) option c but only thor and loki survived e) something else entirely.
another thing is the last infinity stone is still m.i.a from mcu, and the final movie before iw is black panther, which is pretty unlikely to have the soul gem. so either it will appear in iw directly, or mcu will surprise us and showed it in black panther.
i feel like i’m squeezed dry already so bring it on 2018!
