alright, so, one more thing i've been thinking about during all of this, and apologies, because i normally try to keep my blog fairly discourse-free in the grand scheme of things. but.

there are hermitcraft fans who act irritatingly morally superior about this fandom. i think it's out of some impulse to try to distance yourselves from any other mcyt fandom. it needs to stop.

the worst behavior during the polls was from the hermitcraft fans.

period.

there were so many instances of hermitcraft fans accusing the other side of cheating, of hermitcraft fans making attacks on the character of their guy's opponents, i have heard what i HOPE are isolated reports of racism in the grian/quackity fight (it was genuinely impossible to keep up with the blog's notes that round without both going into a death spiral thanks to the horrible behavior of scar fans during techno/scar and also without losing track instantly of where we were due to the frankly insurmountable volume of notes, so i did not see it, but unfortunately i fully believe it). i have seen people receiving awful asks - saw people being accused of 'betraying' the hermitcraft side due to voting for quackity or techno, for example.

and for a fandom that likes to act like it's better than the other guys, well. the dsmp fans were generally very well behaved in comparison. (shoutout, for example, to quackblr - i saw maybe one or two possible instances of bad behavior, but for as intense as you all were, you all were normally mostly just retaliatory towards whatever energy was thrown at you.) it wasn't supposed "outsiders coming in" that was doing this bad behavior, either.

folks, you can't blame the dsmp when the problem is inside the house. you can't blame twitter users when you're doing it here. you can't blame the reddit when you're the ones throwing the first death threats.

get off your high horses. we're all mcyt fans. we're all having the same fun. get off your high horses. you can hardly claim we're entirely all "unproblematic" when keralis accepted a sponsorship from the wizard game and xisuma periodically gets another round of getting shouted down over something he said on xisumasays. get off your high horses. you can't claim we're the accepting, good behavior fandom, unlike those other guys, when you're the ones causing the problems.

now, as always, i'm sure this is a law of large numbers thing to some extent. as technoblade, wise as he is, said: sometimes when you get a large enough group, you're going to have a few serial killers. but for the amount that hermitblr likes to act better than Those Other Minecraft Fandoms, and those Other Fandom Websites, it wasn't those guys that made me cry.

to be clear, the majority of you have been well-behaved. but there's a persistent tendency in this fandom to act strangely morally superior to other fandoms. and, y'all? you aren't.

you just aren't.

and the sooner you acknowledge that, the less likely this is to happen again, because once you admit that yeah, we can be toxic too? that's when you can start actually looking at yourself and trying not to be.

anyway, sorry again to make this post. i don't want to be a downer, hence why, outside of the official mod statements of "chill the fuck out", i didn't make this until now. (it also helps that i wanted to wait until i was no longer furious, upset, and death spiraling.) i have seen a lot of the best of this fandom over the past two weeks! i've just also, unfortunately, seen some of the worst, and feel the need to make this statement because it's just... been eating at me.

i don't want this to continue to be a trend. i think we can do better. do so.

Going insane about how the world of Minecraft keeps growing. Taller, wider, deeper, older than we the player will ever truly know. We are tiny in the grand scheme of things, yet we have been given this world — this universe — as a blank canvas.

We have the power to shape the world to our will, to literally move the mountains, yet we could never explore it all. There is no end for us to find, there is no beginning we can make any sense of, there only is the now and the remnants of the past buried beneath our feet.

The world is coming back to life around us, but with it emerges reminders of the immense loss this universe has suffered.

We find plants thriving without sunlight; we find darkness unfathomable with creatures who cannot comprehend the light and kill without mercy, alone for who knows how long. We discover a new mineral only now beginning to form again, presumably after being harvested nearly out of existence, but we find no trace of where it all went - of what it was used for. We find otherworldly new crops that have been in the soil below us all along; unable to reemerge on their own and us ignorant to their existence.

We find a way to bring back a species long extinct, but how many of them died first? We find ruins and remnants of structures created by intelligent creatures, but these people are gone. We don’t know what happened to them, who they were, or what knowledge they may have had to pass down to us.

We know nothing of the people who came before us. Their structures are submerged under the ocean and beneath the earth. Any language they may have left behind has long since been lost to time. All we know is that someone used to be here, that this world was lived in and loved, and now it is ours alone.

We are the sole inhabitants of a world we used to be able to believe was fresh and new and untouched by man, but as the game progresses we realize that was never the case. We were never the first ones here. This world has a history, one of love and life and pain and death we will never get the full story of. We’re starting to develop the tools to uncover some of the pieces, but we will never be able to grasp what came before.

Maybe we were never meant to find out. Knowing we aren’t alone in the universe changes everything, but does it really? So we are not the first to build our homes and live our lives here. This is still our home and this is still our life.

This world knows loss unfathomable, but she found us and took us in. This world has seen far more destruction than we will ever know, yet she entrusts herself to us, allowing us to create. This world has a past, but we are her present, and we get to help shape her future.

Ok I have thoughtsssss on the Dapper lore we just got.

I 100% believe the feds are coercing Dapper to mass produce these op health swap/regen potions for them - for a number of reasons.

First off, we need to go back to the convo Dapper had with Bad a week? Ago about keeping secrets. This was before Dapper started acting really weird and secretive. During that conversation, Dapper - to me - felt scared. At the time I assumed it was because they were afraid Bad would be upset at them for keeping secrets but now I think it was because Dapper was terrified of the secret he was keeping, that the Feds have commanded them to figure out a way of mass producing this Soul Vulture potion. It was only after Bad assured Dapper that he trusts them that Dapper started going all in on this mystery. She had gotten permission/reassurance from her dad that he believes in her and trusts her to do the right thing.

Now why would the federation ask an egg to do their dirty work? Easy. The eggs are so much more vulnerable that the players. The federation most likely created them so they probably have actual leverage or sway of some kind over the eggs but also think about what Dapper has to lose? Pomme, Ramon, Richas, all of their siblings in addition to threats to imprison or hurt Bad and Baghera. There is so much leverage the Feds have over Dapper it’d be easy to black mail him into compliance. Additionally, no one would expect the eggs to turn like this. The eggs are incredibly loyal and most hate the federation as much as their parents. It would be easy to get the egg to work for the feds without tipping off any of the islanders.

Even more damningly, Dapper is the most knowledgeable person on the island when it comes to mobs and has extensive knowledge of create machines. Dapper is the perfect person to learn how to mass produce the Soul Vulture’s corrupted form that produces the hearts necessary to make the potion in addition to building a create machine to mass produce the potion itself. Dapper has the perfect combination of knowledge that makes them the only person for this job.

On top of all of that, Dapper has Soul Vultures in the lab (thank you Minecraft subtitles XD). Soul Vultures are only found in the nether. We know the Feds have access to spawn eggs for nether mobs thanks to the mob Dapper asked for in the Zoo project and the only other way would be going into the nether yourself which we know thanks to Forever’s portal is incredibly dangerous and chaotic. I highly doubt Dapper was making solo trips into the nether this whole time trying to find the Soul Vulture without Bad finding out. It’s much more likely to me that the federation gave Dapper spawn eggs - or even the mobs themselves- so that Dapper could breed them and experiment on them.

Then on top of all of this, Dapper has been blatantly lying to Bad’s face because what else can she do? Dapper knows they aren’t fooling Bad but what are they supposed to do? They are being black mailed and can’t tell anyone without the feds threatening to take away everyone Dapper loves. Of course the only thing they can do is lie knowing Bad will see right through it and hope that Bad won’t interfere (or will and help Dapper get out of this) I thought the bald face lying was so odd but Dapper being black mailed makes everything make sense because at that point, lying was all Dapper could do even if there was no way anyone would believe them.

But there you have it. That’s all the evidence I can think of off the top of my head just from memory. Hopefully we’ll get a stream tomorrow but until then, I cry T-T

(I can’t remember if the Soul Vulture was the second spawn egg the feds gave Dapper/Bad for the zoo but if that is the case, then the feds gave Dapper the egg knowing what it could be used for and the black mail scheme unfolds the same)

I have been thinking about how I wish to word this post as best I can. Yet, I struggle to find the right words to describe how I feel. Anger, guilt, sorrow, and most of all, a deep fear of what is to come.

Nex Benedict was a 16-year-old, gender-fluid Cherokee kid. They loved animals, especially their cat Zeus. One of their favorite pastimes was Minecraft. But this past week, their life was brutally cut short by a group of transphobic girls. After being ganged up upon by a group of girls in a bathroom, Owasso Public Schools would refuse to call the police nor an ambulance. No, instead, they would suspend them for two weeks, but that wouldn't matter;

Nex would die within 24 hours of the incident, after they were lynched.

Chaya Raichik, owner of Libs of Tiktok, posted grooming allegations against one of Nex's former teachers, after they stated they proudly supported LBGTQ+ students. After which, the smear campaign worked, and the teacher was fired. Ever since, a wave of immense homophobia and transphobia has swept through Owasso -- with Nex being a victim under its tide.

Nex's biological grandmother (their primary caregiver) has received more than enough for funeral costs, and plans to donate the rest to advocacy groups.

Please consider donating to Oklahomans for Equality. They are really struggling after an embezzlement scheme, but are planning to do a vigil for Nex.

I am in so much fear knowing this happened so close to me. I am doing my best to be a light that can out shine this hate. But please help me spread the word. Reblog this post. Share this outrage, and let us hurt. But we must do something.

Please do not forget your queer siblings in the South.

my steps are basically

voice

personality

og look of minecraft skin/branding

player movement

other ppls fanart (if any)

things that happened/cultural associations

i start with a bunch of random sketches to get the feel of the person.. that's why so many of my early posts were doodle pages. to me, character design is more based on what the person is like rather than what they look like. i think a lot of people do that

I do this with all of the above and shape language, but in bigger art pieces outside of lineups i also use color and perspective (as in youll see more of someone like spepticle in large, sweeping scenes while someone like zam in closed, heavily perspective-based ones) to indicate personality. ill change designs when suited for this too (spoke with or without a gas mask, vi with or without a mouth, etc etc)

my first iteration of lifesteal designs heavily relied on the look of the skins and were gradually tweaked over time. my most prominent example of this is my spoke design, so i'll use him at least once in the examples for continuous comparison.

i watch a couple of each person's videos first, understand their voice, personality, and what they do, then focus on them in other people's videos too to get a full story, their movement, and what others think of them (helps with personality and things we might not see). streams are the most helpful because they're less biased and you see so much more of their antics. huge stream fan.

i get into the how after this

this process doesnt go in order for some designs and others have a more prominent focus on particular parts of the process that override or effect other parts

Voice

starting off with not spoke here's a problem i encountered when designing wemmbu

I based him a lot off of spoke and ashswag due to not knowing much about him besides the fact that he schemes (spoke&ash-esque) and he doesn't move his character around too much when talking (ash behavior). he didn't match the left one because his voice doesn't have the dramatic, flamboyant fratboy flair that spoke has, so I shifted it to be more friendly yet still dangerous with curved square shapes rather than triangles. i made his scheming, diabolical nature more evident through his clothing that's pretty jester-like and sharp, but with a smoother middle that spoke doesn't have (and to match his eyes).

voice also impacts character height. i dont know how to describe this. mapicc and zam are similar heights because their voices are similar, same goes for parrot and vortex, but leo and vitalasy are close to the same height (due to vitalasy's huge fuckass ears) despite having wildly different voices, with leo's bold text voice and vitalasy's higher-pitched jumbled kinda speech they still take up the same "amount of space" in conversation. they stand out. and even though spoke's voice also stands out an incredible amount he is still only slightly taller than average. this is where personality overrides voice in my designs.

Personality

spoke is sharp in every sense of the word, but is also able to mold himself around to get what he needs.

my first attempt at him was pretty lackluster. i didn't know much of him at the time, only his wither video, and thus understood him mainly through his association with parrot. he seemed a lot more evil and more serious at first glance. like woah! fully fledged mouth and nose?! not anymore.

i cover certain expressive parts to also depict more of their personality in some abstract, holistic way. after watching streams and whatnot, spoke doesnt actually speak (excluding his random sounds and yips or whatever he does) too terribly much, except when the spotlight is on him or he's trying to get something. so, i tweaked his design to encompass that when i understood him better.

i take away his arms to allow his hands to stand out more (character movement thing, he moves around a lot when no one is paying attention to him, punches the air when ..not talking but making a point ig. he's a big fan of hovering menacingly), i give him a slinky-like outside skeletal structure to both capture his affinity for withers (i made him a wither thing because of the wither sounds in his video.. and the withers in general) and to give him the feeling of more freedom with his movement.

i also just really like gas masks so. basically, spoke is someone that hides away until he chooses to stand out. thank lord heaven he looks like some shadow creature.

later on i gave him more magenta highlights, especially in the wormhole era because 1. magenta wasnt heavily included in his rainbow look, making it stand out on his whole being, and 2. because magenta is really really cool and people should use it more.

og minecraft skin/branding

hi spokeis here. this will be quick because his branding is so heavy. lightning, rainbow, black. boom. character. withers and white eyes? easy. causes a lot of anarchy? again, lightning and withers.

planetlord on the other hand is someone i greatly differed from the og skin and branding. i saw the design in a vision idk. i shift his colors all the time in different pieces but i use more of his pfp colors now because there's too many purples in this world. his branding, personality, and voice all connect very well. a bit misleading, he's a bit of a weasel.

Movement

i never used to look into movement, but pvp styles and conversational movement of lifesteal is intriguing. unfortunately it was only something i started paying attention to during the end of s4 because vitalasy's movement was so interesting. he's a big fan of getting in people's faces.

ill be real, i didn't really notice spoke a lot during things because he was almost always never alone, and when he was it is always at a distance or you knew he had people to back him up.

spoke's movement isn't actually too abnormal. he's goal oriented and tends to always be doing something, and when he does he finds the most efficient way possible. pretty basic. his design choices are based mainly on voice and personality.

someone like mapicc on the other hand has very particular movement. he spins around people when fighting and gets right up in their face (in nethpot pvp mostly), so i made his clothing tighter to the skin with looser parts to accentuate that movement: practical clothing for close combat battles. it was also noticed (by the lord) that he tends to look straight forward instead of the slightly down that most players do.

zam fights differently, but i made him with the og branding (he's princezam) and what he does in mind. his body language in my art is more indicative of his personality.

Other people's fanart

shoutout the community, a notable amount of ideas were from the mid-late 2022 lifesteal community.

dog leowook and leather jacket mapicc were from gen, jackalope rek from aoi i think, "croptop" jacket spoke from saints-blade, snail terrain from navy-leader, tv ashswag from kish, sock puppet red definitely from someone i dont remember, 4 armed squiddo from seri, and old cartoon jaron was from bucket

Things that happened/istarted talking about cultural inspirations

spoke and his connection to godhood influenced his redesign greatly. this section affects what the character wears most of the time.

i give both spoke and vitalasy painted palms (alta) due to their connection with godhood and destruction, with spoke in particular reminding me a lot of Kali Ma, thus i gave him a skirt (due to nppp too). vitalasy's clothing is based on Indonesian cultural clothing. wemmbu's also takes inspiration from Indonesian and Bhutan cultural clothing.

indigenous cultures inspired some designs too (i do a lot of ethnographic anthropology work with some of the tribes i base the clothing off of), with woogie having Yupik and Inuit inspiration. polar bear = cold climate in my head. and leo has Haida and Yunnan (minority Chinese providence, not a tribe) inspiration.

bacon's... not bacon strip design's clothing was based on Bangladeshi clothing (im Bangladeshi, i also added alpona patterns to ash's design), nomadic cultures, and some german pilgrim thing?? idk not my best design. i specifically looked for nomadic inspiration because of his willingness to flee at any moment lol. i didnt do this for rek despite his fleeing reputation because i dont watch rek content too much and he already had hybrid traits that took care of that presentation.

poafa's design is a goat because of the medusa trials where he was used as a scapegoat. makes sense i think. his horns are from past associations with jepex that infected mapicc as well (devil trio s1). zam's design is very much from s3 empire and s4 castle.

planet's design changed slightly, mostly rounder shapes, but also the number of "spikes" on his scarf, now stuck at three because of 3ht.. and easier to draw than five. minutetech has a bow instead of a bowtie from jumper due to s5 happenings. the gem on his crown has wemmbu's highlights from his gem's main color.

roshambo's design was also heavily influenced by medusa where i gave him a snake body. in my art that depicts before medusa events he doesn't have the snake body, and same goes with before s4 spoke where i draw him with full pants. in some sketches ive depicted mapicc with a muzzle only after the destruction of s4 spawn due to quix's mapicc dog influence shoutout.

mapicc and ro have matching things that persist seasons (mapicc periwinkle collar, ro red painted ring finger... head finger?), as did subz and vitalasy with matching shoulder pads (beginning of s4 subz had a bandana and vitalasy had a bell that traded between them through artworks of mine) Vitalasy also gained sun and moon earrings. mid and 4c have matching hoods/cloaks ^_^ marriage or something.

New Verse and Muses

So this post is going to be in reference to this post I did a bit ago. I've decided to go for it and write a small AU and if it flops, it flops.

This is a crossover verse for Philza Minecraft and his Twitch chat, aka The Crows.

This post outlines the basics; full lore and bios will be made at a later date when I don't have work.

Philza Minecraft (yes, in this AU, that is his full name)

Is the Angel of Death

Changed his name when he (willingly) left Heaven

Even after leaving Heaven, Phil still does his job as the Angel of Death - however, he does it his own way

Has his own personal army

Is the second oldest of the Seraphims

Lucifer's eldest brother

Isn't considered a 'Fallen Angel' because he was never cast out - he left Heaven on his own

Will secretly visit Hell in order to check in on his brother and niece

Is known as an Overlord named 'The Crowfather' within Hell, however most believe he is either dead or powerless.

After leaving Heaven, Phil settled on Earth. He has his own 'kingdom' hidden away from the humans.

Spends most of his free time building and expanding his land.

Armor and masks are based on Crows - they are often mistaken for plague doctors by humans

All of the Crows' wings are black - depending on rank they might have purple or green undertones.

I really like the bit of storytelling/RP Bad is doing with is Minecraft skin.

Because we know he's not doing well. We know it because at the beginning and the end of each stream, he's letting himself be sad, distress and angry.

But the other islanders don't know that! Q!Bad is trying is best to not show how deep he's gone into depression. He still plays with others, laugh, resolve mystery like nothing is different. From an outside perspective, there's not a lot in Bad behaviour that could indicate that he's not fine. You can tell that he's missing the eggs a little, but that's it.

But the others know that something is wrong. They know because bad is grey. It's a physical reminder that something is deeply wrong with him. But they don't know what to do about it. They know it's related to the eggs not being there, but they don't know how to help Bad. He's in denial, not wanting anybody to know how much he's hurt. He refuse to let anyone too close, he's distancing himself from everybody so he could drown himself in anger and act his soul vulture scheme.

But his friends know something isn't right. So they make sure he's not left alone for too long. They make promise to have the eggs back and have him happy and colourful again. Because they care and because it hurt to see their friend in such state, even if he's hiding it well.

And I'm so normal about it.

You know, whilst obviously a cushy ass job, I don't think many people appreciate how difficult and stressful content creation is. Humans were never meant to have millions of eyes on them and especially people in their 20s or lower are never going to be the perfect emotionless content creating machine

Idk, it's just the way I see some people talk about CCs is kind of painful. Maybe I'm being a bit parasocial, but a few are around my age, or even younger, and I can't help but wonder how horrifically choking it must be to have to continuously entertain millions of people. I know it's easy to forget just how much that is. But even one million is a staggering amount of people. Many of them have over 5+ million subscribers.

And worse yet is that they have to balance their genuine friendships and emotions with what will be considered entertaining to an audience. It's easy as scarian girlies to be upset when Grian avoids Scar so much in the life series since third life, but I think that annoyance is a bit misplaced both because 1. They still interact quite a bit and their interaction are always full of joy and radiate with their friendship even when they play enemies, and 2. In the grand scheme of things, we remain a minority within the 8 million people who are subscribed to Grian. Many more would be annoyed to get the same storyline over and over.

There is an unfortunate pragmatism that content creators in such series have to employ. They need to juggle between their friendships, the people they tend to hover around, and the idea of what would make good content. As much as scarian girlies would eat up 5 seasons of scarian alliance, the nature of their natural friend dynamic as well as the series in general would lead to it being repetitive. It would lead to decreased viewer satisfaction. Decreased viewership. Decreased money. They're in the unfortunate position of monetizing their friendships. Who they ally themselves with is not just a matter of who they like most, but it's also a business decision. None of us are in the position to fully appreciate that, unless there are content creators with millions of followers in the midst of mcyt fans ig.

Idk. Idk. Maybe I'm too protective of CCs or whatever. But I've seen too many folks completely dehumanise them and fully forget that they're just dudes playing Minecraft for a living with their friends in front of million of people. A lot of these dudes are in their 20s or 30s. Hell, even those in their 40s have a right to struggle with shit as well. That level of attention on you can be terrifying. They reserve the right to do what they fucking want, and furthermore reserve the right to offer the kind of content they want. And maybe that includes not exploring a storyline or trope or character the fandom is hyped about because they got spooked by the attention, or flat out aren't comfortable with it. Maybe it's trying to be aware of how often they magnetize towards their closer friends, and thus avoiding making all of their videos about them, because they want to ensure the amusement of the million of people who watch them.

Idk. Idk. There's a level of entitlement we can sometimes feel towards the CCs that we as a fanbase - that we as individual people - need to be aware of and question. These are people. They're professional but not in the same sense that film actors are professionals. BEHOLD!! (I may need help.)

I'm drawing lines between as many Minecraft series as I can in order to create a full "multiverse", so to speak.

Technically the only ones actually in this theoretical multiverse are the ones connected by red or blue lines, but just small references (yellow lines) are also being noted down for the sake of it.

My problem is, I'm one person who is fairly new to MCYT (beyond the occasional YouTube video) in the grand scheme of things. I'm not able to watch every single server as it comes out, nor do I have time to go through tons of older content searching for this kind of stuff.

As such, I request that anybody who notices a connection I don't already have, please let me know!! I will require sources in order for them to be added, but that's just because I want to keep this as accurate as possible.

Additionally, any suggestions for references to have noted MUST BE FAIRLY EXPLICIT. If a cc says something small that could be a reference but there's reasonable room for doubt, then I'm not including it for tidiness' sake.

Seperate seasons of servers are listed separately unless they immediately follow one another in a timeline.

hello! I saw a previous post from you along the lines of "I dislike 4halo because Forever deserves better" and was curious about what you meant! These are both characters I'm neutral about so I like asking people what they think.

hi anon, hope you're enjoying your holiday season if you do that sort of thing. :')

full disclosure: they are characters i'm relatively neutral about, too. i don't have any strong feelings for ANY of the qsmp characters. my emotional investment in the story is very shallow, as i work 50 hours a week and don't have time to sit through 4 hour vods for 20-something creators regularly. so understand that my interpretation of events is limited, and my opinions are not strong or something i'll argue about because i just don't care enough.

my interest in quackity's project is centered around a greater interest in minecraft content in general, because i love that game, and also because i adore international collaborations on the internet. it's been great learning more about different lat-am cultures!!! i didn't even know what portuguese SOUNDED like until this year, for instance.

i watch a vod or two of my favorite creators because i like to watch different streamers having fun and being creative together. i like watching their international friendships develop and strengthen. roier and cellbit's friendship is really sweet, for instance.

so when i say i don't like 4halo because forever deserves better, it's an opinion i've developed over nine months of being mildly annoyed with BBH's character and minecraft social habits. i've said it before, but i've never enjoyed how he roleplays or the kind of characters he chooses to play.

conversely, forever's character is very endearing to me. he always wants to do good, be good, while often making awful mistakes in the process and causing harm. he's so clever, so smart, but driven by such fierce emotion that he struggles to control. he seems to think he doesn't deserve to be treated with love and care because of his flaws. and bbh's character doesn't love or care about anything besides the eggs. he will throw anyone under the bus if it gave him an advantage in his own private schemes. his extreme privacy and self-servedness in the name of protecting his kids is what makes him interesting, but also makes him a poor friend. he's not someone that can be relied on emotionally, which people who've known him for years (like foolish, phil and tubbo) learned ages ago.

forever really deserves someone who prioritizes him, appreciates him, stands up for him. helps him build self worth. he won't find that in bad. i wish he found that in philza instead, if i'm being super honest.

I need to talk about Minecraft AU for a sec and how the difference between our world and their world makes for some of the most humorous but also interesting differences in how people act about certain subjects.

Like the trans thing right. Steve and Rana are both trans I've talked about that before. And neither of them are on hormone replacement or anything (there is an in universe explanation as to why Steve has a beard though I promise I can talk about that if anyone wants) but like that's fine bc it literally Doesn't Matter to them or anyone else. Like as spawned players they already don't have any pre-existing gender roles or ideas of what something "should" be so gender and presentation is what they make of it and there's no real solid idea in anyone's mind about how a "boy" or "girl" behaves or looks like. These are labels that exist but they barely mean anything. It also helps that any preexisting culture that WOULD have ideas of this was almost entirely destroyed like 5000 years ago (thanks Groda) so it matters even less than it already did.

And its funny bc the only two people alive from that era, White Eyes and Groda also just don't care. Groda maybe asks why Rana's voice sounds deeper once and nearly gets torn apart by Alex bc of it (Rana isn't offended or anything she just has a defensive girlfriend), bc she doesn't really understand because she never experienced anything like this first hand but very quickly comes to understand it and accept it. And on the other hand White Eyes is just like "I've seen weirder things than this" which yeah. Yeah honestly I think the person who was previously one with the undead would not care about gender in the grand scheme of things.

And then u have Kai which I've joked before that they may as well have been spawned in nonbinary. They rlly just said "I'm not really anything" and everyone was like yeah makes sense I vibe with it. Good for u.

Steve and Rana are both fairly open about having been the opposite genders previously (because that's how they view their experiences and that's valid!) and don't really shy away from the subject but also never really have much reason to talk about it since there's rarely a need to. In the modern day pretty much everyone who met them had met them post-transition. Even Alex had met them just before Steve started growing in his beard. The only people who ever knew them as Adam and Eve were Efe and Sunny but they never really thought it was weird or anything. Like the weirdest part to them was Steve saying he got his epiphany from seeing some guy in the distance on a foggy day who looked vaguely like him but that's its own subject manner that they aren't going to pry on.

Also Steve did DIY top "surgery" previously with a sword but we aren't going to talk about how messy that was for everyone involved.

'I mean... about 10 years?' 'DUDE.'#its actually agonizing but on the bright side it is what got the polycule started eventually #I would not be surprised if Sunny and Efe placed bets on if/when it would eventually happen

Gremlin (Moon’s nickname for them)- Backup Bloodmoon

-Gremlin, despite being a backup of Bloodmoon, doesn’t actually have a need/desire for blood.

-When Eclipse made the backup of Bloodmoon, something messed up/glitched. And he didn’t notice. This mess up/glitch caused Gremlin to have no need/desire for blood.

-They were found by Lunar one night when they went to go relax in the theater. Gremlin had taken over an old theater bot and was trying to figure out something to do.

-Lunar got their attention, and got them to talk. To Lunar’s surprise, Gremlin made no move to try and get to them. Gremlin just seemed bored and stuck.

-A few minutes later, Lunar went to go get Moon. Moon was upset that Lunar didn’t get him the second they found Gremlin, but Lunar said that it was ok. That Gremlin didn’t seem blood thirsty.

-After some talking, Lunar suggested getting them a proper body.

-Moon wasn’t too sure about it, so he had Monty make some more nano machines to give Gremlin a body, along with the precautions that the original Bloodmoon had. Just in case they tried to attack.

-When Gremlin got a body, they quickly got used to it and started excitedly running around, but did stop when Lunar asked.

-Everyone kept an eye on them, and eventually realized that they really weren’t a threat, just a bit annoying.

-Gremlin still has original Bloodmoon’s energy, but it basically all goes into having fun/causing chaos. Not bloody chaos or chaos that could hurt someone, just chaos that causes messes and silliness.

-The only one that seems to be able to calm Gremlin down from their chaos before they naturally get tired is Lunar.

-They still likes to rip and tear, but they just tear paper, cardboard, and stuffed things. The others dealt with it for a little bit.

-Eventually, Moon came up with an idea. And due to the fact that Gremlin listens to Lunar the most out of all of them, he had them help discuss the plan with Gremlin.

-Moon and Lunar proposed the deal that Gremlin could rip and tear up trash before it gets thrown out, as long as they stay in one spot while doing so so it’s easy to clean up, and that they agree to stay in the tower when the daycare is open to the kids.

-After Gremlin discusses the deal with the other Bloodmoon, they agree to the deal.

-The reason Gremlin looks similar to Lunar, just with Bloodmoon’s color scheme/a few design details is because they thought Lunar looked interesting, but they liked their color scheme/design, so they just combined the two. They also thought that being smaller would make them harder to catch and stop.

-Lunar thinks it’s cool.

Eclipsed Star (nickname may change)- Backup Eclipse

-One of Eclipse’s many backups. He’s also one of the earlier ones.

-He originally looked like the original eclipse, but decided to change it. He was inspired by Lunar’s current look. Lunar doesn’t mind it.

-He was found in one of the computers on the security desk. Moon ended up being the one to stumble upon him. He was going to just get rid of him, but Eclipse begged him not to. Despite Moon’s mind telling him to not listen to Eclipse, he decided to stay and hear him out. Once Moon realized it might be ok to get them out, he decided to go get Monty.

-When Monty gave Eclipse a body, he thanked Monty a lot.

-As the others kept an eye on him, Eclipse behaved his best to show that he genuinely wasn’t a threat.

-Things eventually settled a bit.

-is pretty calm and quiet. Will usually just hum to himself.

-mostly hangs out with Lunar.

-will occasionally just wander off as he thinks to himself. The farthest he’s gone from the daycare is up on the rafters of gater golf.

-likes video games after Lunar introduced them to him. Likes calm games, like animal crossing. Though he does like minecraft too.

-will sometimes sit on moon’s bed, or the floor, and just chat with the computer.

-can sometimes be founds lightly kicking around a ball in the middle of the daycare, again, just thinking to himself.

They are absolutely adorable and I love them so much. I wish to squeeze them.

we are at the precipice. this is the closest it will ever be. there is less than an hour in the vote and it has been a consistent 50/50 for the past however-long. when i began this post, quackity was leading joe by about 40 votes.

please. please. i am literally on my knees, begging. vote for joe hills. he is the epitome of what a tumblr sexyman in the cryptid category is supposed to be. quackity dabbles in every category of tumblr sexyman, but joe hills is fully submerged in one and does it right.his cryptid energy knows no bounds. there are no headcanons of him just being normal in the grand scheme of the universe, and if there are, it's because everyone else isn't normal and he's, like, a sentient player in a minecraft character's body.

he crafts poetry for almost every single one of his episodes and weaves the hum of the universe into every line. he takes hermitcraft apart thread by thread and crochets it into something new, something beautiful. he made a giant pinball machine with the deep field image made on the side using minecraft blocks. he wrote a poem about how the thought cub's base from season 8 was a gaping maw that lacked an upper jaw, which was so tma-coded it was unreal, among other poems about cub's freakshow of a base (i don't even care if you don't vote for him, read those damn poems). he has alter egos to rival the bursonas, one of which, beetlejhost, is very explicitly a tumblr sexyman. i mean, look at this guy (and etho)! not to mention just joe hills in general! look at this fanart they've seximanified a guy who's minecraft skin is literally Just Steve with a different shirt and hair!

he has cyptid energy up the wazoo! for the tumblr sexyman poll, people have started headcanoning the tumblr checkmarks (you know, the ones he didn't have until a few days ago; the things that exist only in the meta-verse of tumblr and no other canon anywhere else) as either eyes or a halo. this is not a one-time thing. they turned him into a biblically accurate nightmare with his TUMBLR CHECKMARKS for a TUMBLR SEXYMAN POLL.

quackity has no such cryptid energy. the closest thing he gets is being traumatised and also that one time that he showed up riding skeleton horses in a shoddy assassin's creed cosplay. or that time he appeared in fundy's dream, which, by the way, was a RECONSTRUCTION OF Q IN FUNDY'S MIND. NOT actually q.

not to mention joe hills dipping into the pathetic category. he's cleo's best friend, he is the wet cat to her pitbull, he is the wet paper bag to her stolen lunch. he is the universe's punching bag. he is campaigning—campaigning—to win a tumblr sexyman poll. he has spent real American dollars to win the vote from people. he says 'retumbl' instead of 'reblog.' if that isn't the height of patheticness, i don't know what is.

the most quackity has going for him is his patheticness, but what was his response to all this on twitter? a silly disregard for the seriousness of the poll. he was acting suave about it. cool. didn't care. that's not sexyman. there's no ENERGY.

this post has taken 45 minutes to write, and in that amount of time, the gap between them has shortened to six votes. vote. every number counts. quackity has six million subscribers. joe hills has 160k. joe hills has one of the biggest content creators on twitch on the ropes. tango said he didn't care too much about the polls because he figured they were just going to be a popularity contest. help us win this. help us prove him wrong.
