What I hate about satosugu is that there is not a “turning point” of Satoru trying to “turn Suguru back.” Suguru killed people and he accepted that he could never turn back once he took that path. There isn’t any convincing to do because in Satoru’s eyes Suguru is “doomed” and his only options are a) kill him or b) kill him (delayed) and that’s why he continues to avoid him.

This is why it makes me so sad to think that they can only truly be together in death, where the concept of a sorcerer or curses don’t exist. And they can’t even meet each other halfway there bc Suguru is not going to heaven but you bet your ass if given the choice Satoru would follow Suguru to hell.
